The Barn at Stratford is a beautiful wedding venue in Delaware, OH, offering the unique experience of holding your wedding event in an authentic and historic 1840s barn. Owned by the Delaware County Historical Society, The Barn at Stratford and the beautiful grounds surrounding the venue allow for ceremonies and receptions alike. Our venue is traditional with authentic rustic elegance, ensuring each occasion is as magical as the love it represents. This spacious barn can accommodate up to 175 people for a seated dinner and more for an open-house-style event. There is ample space for a dance floor and DJ to keep the party going. The barn includes heat & air conditioning, ensuring your guests feel relaxed and cozy no matter the year's season. The Barn at Stratford also boasts a prep kitchen, indoor bathrooms, and a recently updated dressing suite for your convenience and comfort. Our staff are dedicated to each event's intricacies. From the moment you begin planning in our venue until the day of your event, you will benefit from our experience and consideration. They offer personalized and professional services to suit your budget, style, and needs. Carefully curated packages are available, combining beauty, elegance, and entertainment. The location also presents endless opportunities for photographs. Every photo, smile, footstep, and memory made on the premises contributes to the ongoing legacy. This land began as a settlement for Indigenous People; it was parceled as payment for service in the Revolutionary War and later settled as the homestead you see now. The main house is now a museum, which can be open for tours during your event. It stands overlooking the village of Stratford, a mill town. In the 19th century, the barn housed 75 Belgian and Percheron horses and became famed as Garth's Auctions with the original iconic stone end barn that the Stratford village would be known for. There is something so romantic and timeless about beginning the rest of your lives on a property that has witnessed so much history. Step back in time as you step into your future. If your wedding vision includes an intimate and rustic atmosphere, look no further than The Barn at Stratford!! I always wanted to get married in a barn in October and this was the perfect place!! I fell in love with the rustic charm and the trees along the wall...my husband and I are beyond pleased with our wedding day!The dressing suite is absolutely gorgeous, well maintained, and provides ample enough room for bridal parties of any size!! The refrigerator was an awesome addition!!Melissa is phenomenal and her staff is the absolute best!! They will do everything they can to make your wedding vision into a reality!! I can't Thank them enough....from the vendor recommendations, organizing our rehearsal, making sure our wedding stayed on time, their thoughtfulness, and willingness to help!! We appreciate each and every one of you!!

My husband and I got married November, 2023 at The Barn and it was perfect! This venue is more than just a space to get married and party. Melissa takes so much time and energy to be an advocate for the couple and helping us create our perfect day. The venue is so picturesque so we had our pictures, ceremony, and reception all right there! They also had decorations and signage that we could utilize which really helped our budget. I can not recommend this venue enough!

Melissa was amazing! She was so organized and professional. She recommended Buckeye Boys BBQ and they were great! This is the perfect spot for a wedding. We planned to have it outside, but the weather did not cooperate- Was just as beautiful inside. The inside is so beautiful, you really don't need a lot of decorations. I would highly recommend this venue- Melissa took a lot of the stress off us by being so calm! Thanks for making this day so special for my daughter and her \"husband\"!!

Melissa and the staff at The Barn at Stratford made my daughter's day so special! It was a relief to have them handle the parking lot for our guests, coordinate getting our food vendors situated. They quickly changed our set up from the wedding seating to our tables, and handled clean up as well. Melissa allowed us to DIY alot of the details, and had excellent recommendations for everything else. We gladly arranged for extra helpers at a reasonable cost, so we could enjoy the day. The venue is beautiful, and our entire wedding party and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed the event. The price was so manageable, we definitely got our money's worth and more!

Wedding planning is not fun and most of the time very stressful. I was tasked with wedding planning my nephews wedding. I can tell you from the first meeting I had with Melissa to the event date everything was made easy and simple. Communication was great which is key! The barn was absolutely beautiful! Inside and out. Guests were very impressed and the happy couple were all smiles. We had a last minute change and Melissa and her crew went above and beyond to accommodate.

I cannot say enough nice things about this venue! They were so lovely to work with, the space is so cute and sweet, it comes with a lot of tables and chairs (which is a huge rental bonus,) they handle extra rentals for you, we had parking attendance, and event helpers throughout the night (included in the rental rate.) Melissa was such a pleasure to work with and we are so grateful for all of her help and advice! Highly recommend!!

Melissa, the wonderful woman who runs the facility, was easy to work with and extremely knowledgeable. We loved the facility and it gave us both indoor and outdoor options which was important to us. It is absolutely gorgeous inside so it was also nice that we really didn’t need to add much to make things beautiful. It was the perfect day!

We could not have selected a better venue to have our special day! All of our friends and family keep telling us it was the best, most fun wedding they’ve ever been too and I truly believe that’s because of the venue and the staff at the Barn. The venue manager Melissa was absolutely phenomenal and she was the calm to my crazy. Melissa and her team were so accommodating to everything we needed. They kept things in order, if something was happening that was stressful for me—they took care of it for me, if things started going left—they steered it back to the right. I never had to worry about anything because they always had my back! The venue is beautiful, the ceremony was beautiful and the reception was beautiful. The whole day was so magical and I couldn’t have done it without Melissa and her team! 10/10 recommend this venue if you’re planning on having a mid-size wedding!

Melissa was great to work with, so was the crew the day of set up. They were all so helpful and organized. Melissa was able to help me with some recommendations i was struggling to find vendors for, and she also helped me by letting us use a few things at the barn to decorate saving me money. She did everything she said she would the venue was perfect in every way. Highly recommend using them!

We just got married here and I can’t begin to explain how amazing Melissa and the staff at The Barn are. They made sure everything was what we wanted and made our day perfect. It is a beautiful venue. Every person at our wedding said how beautiful it was. There is also an option to add on a tour of the Meeker House during your cocktail hour which our guests loved!

Wedding planning is supposed to stressful? Not at The Barn at Stratford. From the moment we walked in, we knew this was the place for our daughter's reception. Close to the church, its a short scenic drive up 315 from Liberty Presbyterian Church for the ceremony. Easy directions for those out of town guests. The space needs no additional decorating. Linens for the tables and repurposed aisle decor for the centerpieces and the room was ready. We loved the string lights, the rustic beams, the neutral colors and vintage decor on the shelves and windowsills. And the outdoor space? The string lights in the cocktail hour space was so dreamy and romantic for dancing under the stars on a perfect late spring evening. Many thanks to the cicadas who waiting until the following week to emerge. :) The grounds are beautiful, plenty of parking, easy access to all the spaces for any of our mobility challenged guests too. And the staff? Well now, that's the best part! A fully staffed, well seasoned crew of positive, upbeat and helpful people surround you your entire event, from planning to completion. We were in need of suggestions for caterers after booking the venues and the comprehensive booking packet from Melissa at Stratford helped us find the perfect caterer for us. We were able to bring in our own alcohol which saved a TON of money. We used the bartenders through our caterer but The Barn at Stratfod has bartenders to use too. That was a load off our minds as well. I can't say enough good things about this venue. You won't be disappointed. They're worth the time to check them out! I bet you fall in love too.

The pandemic didn’t allow for my partner and I to keep our original wedding date. Thankfully, Melissa at The Barn was super helpful as we adapted by moving our wedding date up by 40 days and holding a JUST US ceremony. She was instrumental in making our wedding day a day to remember. From helping with decorations to working with vendors, all while keeping things safe and sanitary, she was amazing. Our pictures on the property at The Barn turned our magical and it was all better than we could have imagined. Thank you, Melissa!

My husband and I found this venue and knew it was just what our daughter had been wanting for her very small wedding. When we showed it to her, she loved it and decided to increase her guest list because it was so nice and so roomy. Melissa was our event planner, and she and all of the helpers went above and beyond to accommodate every detail that my daughter or I wanted, and even suggested things we didn't know to ask for. Can't say enough good things. Loved the experience of planning with them, and the wedding went very smoothly and was stress-free, thanks to these kind folks.

My husbend and I stumbled across The Barn at Stratford right here on The Knot and we are so thankful we did. It was exactly what we were looking for. Rustic yet elegant and had everything we needed. We booked about a year out from our wedding and spent the last month planning lay out and details to make everything worked. I loved that they have some decor already up, so we really only had to worry about the tables. We used the Bridal suite to get ready and thee was plenty of room for hair-dresser, makeup artist, bride, 4 bridesmaids, two mothers, and two flower girls. The use of the whole space was really exciting, pictures all around the grounds and opening the Meeker Museum during our cocktail hour was a hit! It was all fantastic and Sara and Melissa really took care of us!

The Barn at Stratford was truly our dream venue! It is a beautiful, rustic setting both inside and out and we can't say more great things about the staff and how our big day turned out!When we first booked the venue with worked with Connie and we were sold! She was so professional and knowledgeable. A few months prior to our wedding Connie retired and we were a little nervous since we felt so comfortable with her. We didn't need to be! The transition from Connie to Melissa and Sara was seamless! Both of them contacted us directly to introduce themselves and Melissa made sure she scheduled a time to meet with us so we could get to know her and feel confident that we would get all things Connie had discussed with us when we booked.Melissa worked with us so that we could have access to the venue on Friday since our baker was traveling 3+ hours and even helped us find the song we wanted to walk down the aisle to on iTunes! She picked flowers from the grounds and left those and such a kind note to us in the bridal suite (which was such an amazing, comfortable place to get ready!) It was those little touches that made The Barn at Stratford more than just a lovely place to get married and elevated it to a place where we felt like we were much more than just a \"customer\" and instead felt truly special and cared for by the staff!Our event went perfectly! Melissa coordinated with our photographer, DJ, and catering companies to make sure everyone was on the same page so that our day went off without a hitch. We cannot speak more highly of the professionalism of the staff at The Barn at Stratford! And the beauty of the grounds and venue speak for themselves!Much thanks to Melissa, Sara and the other staff who worked to make our wedding day so amazing!Jennifer & Kristyn Piper

We were looking for a venue where we could make have a less formal wedding and of a party feel...The Barn was the perfect spot! This venue is certainly a hidden gem in Delaware County! Connie was fabulous as well as the rest of the staff that helped us out on our special day! I highly recommend if you are looking for an inexpensive, beautiful all-in-one venue! The Willow tree was the perfect spot for a ceremony too!!!

The Barn is amazing! It is beautiful and doesn't need much decorations. Connie and her team worked to make our day perfect. It rained the morning of our wedding and they came up with a Plan B for the ceremony in case we needed to move it inside. Luckily we did not! They helped with the ceremony by telling everyone when to walk and even held my train on my dress until it was my time to walk. The night turned out perfect beyond words and I cannot thank the Barn more for that.

I cannot say enough about this venue. Connie and our staff put in so much effort to make everything look great and help out on our wedding day. The catering vendor suggestions on her website helped us find our caterer for the big day and we could rent linens through her as well. Everyone that attended the wedding said what a beautiful venue it is and several people said that they would keep it in mind for their kids as well.

We originally had a different venue but due to poor management we had to switch venues a month before our planned date. We found the Barn at Stratford and they had the date open. Connie was there every step of the way, when ever we had questions or concerns at any time she was able to respond promptly and professionally. Working with the staff at The Barn at Stratford was a relief compared to the other disaster of a venue. The options at the Barn at Stratford were endless; they gave us many options to stay within our budget and still maintain a great day. The venue looked amazing both inside and out. The outside area had plenty of parking for all of our guests. It had a large area for photos including a gazebo. On the same property is an old homestead that is used to give docent tours, which gave the staff time to set up for the post wedding reception. Inside of the venue is a unique flair. It is rustic yet elegant and the lighting really made the event feel charming. The vendors we hired commented on how easy it was to work with the staff. The price was below what the overall value of what was offered. The staff at The Barn at Stratford made the event an amazing lifetime memory.
