The Barn at Sunset Ranch is a wedding venue located in Buena Vista, CO. Showcasing dazzling mountain vistas, the property offers a blissful setting for milestone moments. When celebrating here, local and visiting couples alike will be able to host their big days within the state's abundant natural beauty. The Barn at Sunset Ranch was designed with to-be-weds in mind. The owners created the venue to offer a picturesque location and charming barn setting where couples can create lifelong memories with loved ones. Featuring awe-inspiring views of the Collegiate Peaks, lush meadows, and gurgling streams, the grounds provide a truly unforgettable backdrop. Nearlyweds are welcome to host their ceremonies in the fresh mountain air and under the wide sky. The venue is happy to provide seating and an arch for the meadow area, allowing couples to tie the knot in front of breathtaking views. After the ceremony, newlyweds and their guests can sip their favorite beverages under bistro lighting on the patio for their cocktail hour. Ceremonies and receptions can also take place in the Barn. Elegant yet rustic, the event space offers a charming ambience for dining and dancing. Before the ceremony, couples are welcome to prepare for their day in separate get-ready suites. To make the planning process as seamless as possible, the team at The Barn at Sunset Ranch has created helpful wedding packages. We absolutely hit the jackpot with this venue for our destination wedding! From the beginning, Jayme was super helpful and stayed in contact with us throughout the months leading up to our wedding. The space is absolutely incredible, we had beautiful weather and got to make use of their patio and outdoor space as well as the cozy barn. Sandy was amazing and the pour trailer was a huge hit on our wedding day! She worked with us to customize our menu and make it all happen. There are so many things to do in BV, our guests loved coming out there, so it’s a great destination spot. Everything about it was just fantastic. Highly recommend!

The Barn at Sunset Ranch is the most beautiful wedding venue in Buena Vista. We booked it because of the ceremony views, but every part of the property is delightful. The barn is a bit more intimate, but it provides beautiful updated decor, a spacious bridal suite, and even an on-site Airbnb. The team at The Barn was so easy to work with. They allowed us to have access to the venue early when possible and were so responsive and accommodating since we were planning from out of state. We wouldn't have wanted to get married anywhere else!

The venue is incredible. The views, the outside patio area had been updated since the last time we saw it with large fire pits, all in all a great place to host our wedding. Jamie is so kind and welcoming and Sandy with the Pour Trailer is a blast. Loved being able to work with these ladies so closely on arguably one of the more stressful and action packed days of my life. Huge thanks to the two of them!

The venue is incredible. The views, the outside patio area had been updated since the last time we saw it with large fire pits, all in all a great place to host our wedding. Jamie is so kind and welcoming and Sandy with the Pour Trailer is a blast. We had toured about three other venues before we traveled all the way to Buena Vista and it took us within two hours of leaving the property to call and schedule our date. I cannot express how in awe our guests were from this venue! The fact that you get the venue from 8am until midnight the day of your wedding is unheard of and was an incredible perk. The Pour Trailer and recommended vendors that Jim and Jaymie have listed on their website made the day the best we could have hoped for! We have no regrets about having our wedding at the Barn at Sunset Ranch!

We had a variety of help including the actual owners of the venue! The grounds and facility maintenance was very clean and perfect! The ability to bring your own food and alcohol was a plus! We absolutely always look back at how amazing our special day was! I highly recommend this venue to ANYONE!

They also have an amazing list of vendors they recommend. If you're thinking about having your wedding here, do it! All of our guests were amazed with the beautiful views of the venue and it makes for the most gorgeous photos. The attention to detail the day of the wedding amazed me as well. As a bride you want every small detail to be perfect and they certainly went above and beyond. My husband and I are beyond thankful for the wonderful hospitality provided by Jamie and her team. We got married here in August of 2022 and it was beautiful! The venue was clean when we arrived and we were able to get in early to get set up. We used a lot of the recommended vendors and they did great! The ability to use the whole venue from 8am to 12am is a huge plus. In some pictures you will see a white tent, which is not there anymore. Some cons. The groom's room is super small and not manageable for all the guys to get ready in. The bar your required to use will not supply water or maintain a water station which I thought was odd. Your food vendor will have to do that. They will not set up the tables a chairs for you which was frustrating, so I had to rely on others to help me with that and it was stressful. Communication could be better throughout the hole process. the wedding packet we got, was pretty outdated by the time we had our wedding. When we booked we were told we got to use the small room at the back of the venue which has a bedroom, but they we were told that is wasn't included and it was an extra cost. The room also is a ridiculous time frame. You pay a lot for less than 24 hours if you were going to use it. Overall, I would recommend the barn. Compared to other venues, the price seems to be on par with other similar venues.

Our guests loved the venue. There are so many great outdoor spaces you can use/ design for your events needs. The owner Jayme is wonderful to work with and very accommodating. The venue lets you supply your own drinks and alcohol which really saves a lot of money. Sandy, who owns the Pour Trailer made amazing drinks, we set up a second bar for cocktail hour to help with the bar surge. It truly was a magical day and we are very grateful to all our vendor and the Barn at Sunset Ranch.

As soon as we got engaged, we knew that we wanted to celebrate our marriage somewhere special to us with an epic view of the mountains and Buena Vista was at the top of our list. We found The Barn at Sunset Ranch through a friend who went to a wedding there and were blown away by the photos. Once we met Jayme and saw The Barn, there was absolutely no question it was where we wanted to get married. Jayme and Jim are incredibly special people. Their warmth and kindness are unparalleled, and they pour so much love and care into building and maintaining the perfect wedding venue. We were so grateful for all the amazing updates they made to The Barn between booking with them and our wedding day. We fell in love when we first saw it, and it was even more beautiful by the time our day came! We were also very lucky to spend our wedding night at the Airbnb on site. It was so nice to enjoy the day until the very last moment knowing we were staying just a few steps away. Since our wedding, family and friends are still in awe of how beautiful The Barn at Sunset Ranch is. We wanted the people most special to us to experience Colorado’s beauty at our wedding and The Barn was the perfect place to show off why we love it so much. We’re so grateful to Jayme and Jim for the most magical wedding day! They aren’t just wedding vendors, they’re incredible people we now consider friends.

This venue is the most incredible and beautiful in Colorado. Jayme & Jim were very easy to work with from afar and Mount Princeton created the best backdrop of the entire evening. The interior is gorgeous, but the outdoor space (the majority of the wedding was outside except dinner & speeches) is to die for. A lawn for dancing, cobblestone patio for cocktails and never ending field of sage. DOG FRIENDLY & has an AirBnb room in the back for the newly weds if wanted! (we did not use this area, but it's a nice touch!).

This venue is awe inspiringly beautiful. I cannot imagine a better setting to get married! People can't believe the views are real when they look at our wedding photos. Our guests kept stepping outside during dinner to snap photos of the sunset. If you want a quintessential Colorado mountain backdrop for your wedding, get married here. It was so nice having access to the venue all day so that there was no stress about set up time and the bridal suite was lovely for getting ready in. Every detail of the property is perfect for pictures (they even painted the storage shed to look cute). We also loved being able to choose all our own vendors (there are no required vendors other than the bar which is pretty uncommon) which helped us design our perfect wedding on our budget. The ability to but our own liquor (served by the AWESOME bartenders at the Pour Trailer) also saved a lot of money. While the beauty and amenities of the venue speaks for themselves, the thoughtfulness of the owners adds a really special touch. some of the other venues we toured had a very commercial/money-making vibe. This is SO different. Jayme and Jim built this place out of love (in fact they literally lived in the venue the first year since they love weddings so much) and continue pouring their loving touch into updates. From the time we toured and signed a contract they had added so many thoughtful little upgrades such as fire pits and a corn hole area that just showed how much they care about making the venue better and better. Jayme had so many lovely stories about couples they had met - she definitely cares about all the wonderful love stories on their property. Thank you for a truly incredible wedding day!

As soon as we set our eyes on the Barn we knew this was our venue. The ceremony site and views are so breathtaking. Loved the pour trailer, the outdoor cocktail spot, bridal suite and grooms room. Bridal suite easily fit myself, 7 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and the hair and makeup artists. The inside reception area was perfect as well. It was all beautiful as is we barely had to decorate. The Airbnb attached to the barn was really convenient although it did get loud early in the morning when another group came in the next morning to set up for their day. All in all Jayme was great to work with and our guests are still gushing about the beautiful views !

Fast forward an entire year, my husband and I just got married at the Barn last Friday. Jayme and Jim have been absolutely phenomenal to work with over the last year - fabulous communication. They were both incredibly welcoming and maintain a beautiful venue. The grounds are impeccable and the venue is spotless. The views of Mount Princeton create such a bold and beautiful backdrop for all photos! We took full advantage of the Airbnb that is attached to the barn, which allowed a smooth setup & tear down process! The Airbnb is absolutely stunning on the inside, and again, spotless. 100/10, RECCOMEND. Don't think twice ;)

Where do I even start... The Barn at Sunset Ranch was the absolute perfect wedding venue for my husband and I. Not only is it an intimate, private venue sitting at the base of impressive 14,000 ft. mountains, but working with Jayme leading up to our big day made the experience fun and worry-free from start to finish. Like many 2020 couples, we wound up having to push our wedding date back a year to be able to accommodate all of the guests we had planned to invite. Jayme made sure changing our date was as easy as possible, and ensured we were able to have the same date we originally planned to have. Working with them throughout the planning process reassured me that we made the right choice when we picked this venue.The gorgeous patio was the perfect setting for our cocktail hour. Mt. Princeton's beauty gave us a run for our money. And the attention to detail that went into every aspect of building the barn - from the romantic lighting inside to the comfortable carpet in the bridal suite - made for the perfect setting for our mountain wedding. If you're looking for a ranch-style wedding with impressive views owned by the sweetest people, look no further! If I had to do it all over again, I would pick the barn every time!

We consider ourselves lucky to have found such a stunning venue and the ability to work with the most selfless people I've ever met. We were married amongst the COVID chaos, and Jayme was terrific to work with. We had a million stresses, but never had to worry about doing business with them. They are the venue owners you want in your corner. They worked with us every step of the way. Jayme was quick to respond, selfless, and committed. She'll treat you like one of her own and make the process seamless. In such a competitve, greedy industry, that is HUGE. The venue, location, and views sell itself, but the care and professionalism take the icing on the cake. We consider ourselves lucky. The property is spotless and stunning. The views are priceless. We can't thank Jayme and Jim enough for sharing.

Jim and Jayme were amazing and so great and easy to work with - they were so quick to respond to all of our questions and needs. the Barn is beautiful and was the perfect setting for our mountain wedding, we absolutely loved everything about it. They have put so much time, effort, and love into the Barn and it absolutely shows, down to all the fine details. We were also able to reserve the venue for 48 hours which gave us ample time for setup and teardown and made the whole event seamless and relaxed. We highly highly recommend!
