We were devastated when our original wedding got cancelled due to a flood. However, finding the Silver Spur was the best blessing in disguise. Having a nearly all inclusive wedding venue made the planning process so much easier. Misty was so easy to work with and was beyond helpful. This venue is out of state for us which was a big change but she was so easy going and made the process so smooth. We couldn't recommend this venue enough.

Our day was absolutely perfect! My husband and I both live in Kansas and decided to have our wedding in the Dallas area since that would be a middle point for both of our families to travel to. I was a little afraid that this would be a difficult process since we werenât local but Misty and other staff made it so easy for us to plan. We used vendors off of the preferred vendors list that were given to us by the Silver Spur resort and Iâm so glad we did! Food from Q&Brew was delicious, flowers from Frosted Whimsy were beautiful, cake from Confection Connection was beautiful and so tasty and Omni Party Soultions DJ was great! Lunden our day of the wedding coordinator was fantastic! She was also our main point of contact throughout the entire process; she answered emails/texts in an adequate response time ans ensured that we had everything we needed and on our wedding day! We couldnât have asked for more of a perfect day and Iâm so glad we choose the Barn at the Silver Spur Resort!

The Silver Spur was one of the few venues willing to accommodate our unique wedding and it turned it out oh so beautifully! Our ability to stay on the property with our friends and family made our wedding a whole weekend experience that we will never forget! The property was gorgeous and Misty was a great help making sure everything ran smoothly. The barn itself was beautiful. It accommodated all my guests perfectly. The bathrooms were nice. It was really clean inside and out. The outdoor venue was breath taking and very well maintained. Kitchen was a little small but had what we needed. London was amazing, anything we needed she helped with. She ensured that set up, event, and clean up went as smoothly. They gave us a lovely gift to begin our new adventures as a couple. They didn't care that we were a lesbian couple. They treated us with respect and care to our specific needs.

This was such an amazing Venue. We loved Lunden our day of coordinator. The staff was gracious. The facilities were clean and the AC worked well. We stayed in the cabins on the property which allowed us to minimize stress and maximize family time, memories, and all the laughter shared. We rented the Venue for Friday and Saturday to allow for extra time to decorate and to minimize the stress since we did a lot of the decor ourselves. We utilized their on-site catering and the guests loved the food. We loved that there are so many ceremony options at this venue. It was a great centralize location for all families involved. We will definitely be using this venue for family events in the future.

My Husband and I had our date picked long before the proposal as it fell on our 5 year anniversary. We both agreed to find something close to home. We had done our research and narrow down to a few locations that where within 30 or so mins of our home that checked off all the boxes.We both fell in love with The Barn at The Silver Spur Resort and everything they had so much more to offer. There is a barn for reception, Ceremony spot by the lake (and other locations offered), on site catering (The Q and Brew) and plenty of lodging from RV lots, Cabins, Chuck Wagons and a Ranch House.There is two packages to pick from along with add on. We picked the all inclusive so we would have less searching for other vendors as you pick from their preferred vendors for, catering, florists, cake and DJ. Which made it so much easier to having a one stop pick venue.Our vendor choices were top notch and had a great communication base with us as we were planning. Each and everyone was very understanding and worked with us leading up to the big day and through out the day.Misty (The Barn Manager and Wedding Coordinate) and Lunden (Wedding Coordinator) both went above and beyond to communicate with me via text as I am hearing impaired and struggle to communicate over the phone. They both did everything they could to ensure the planning went smooth and was not stressful. The extra mile they went definitely made our wedding day a breeze. Lunden even helped with decorating and bringing my vision alive for our big day.The decision to book with The Barn at The Silver Spur Resort was the best decision my husband and I made and well worth every penny we invested.

We had the most beautiful wedding at the Silver Spur!! Everything was perfect. Lunden was amazing at helping us put everything together. Because of her it was effortless and a fun painless experience. She stayed on top of everything and was quick to respond to any little questions we had. We had our wedding at the Barn at the Silver Spur Resort on 5/7/22. We booked with them over a year ago. The entire year planning up to the wedding date Misty was super helpful with all of our questions, making sure we didn't forget certain details and assisting us in any way needed. The day before and day of the wedding she was an absolute life savoir. Multiple times when things got stressful or complicated she NEVER hesitated to jump right in and fix or adjust. Everything turned out beautiful, I loved every bit of it all. Set up, clean up, etc was made a breeze for our wedding with over 150+ people. I would do it all over again and not change a single thing about it. Highly recommend The Barn at the Silver Spur Resort and even more so Misty as your Wedding Coordinator there!

The entire year planning up to the wedding date Misty was super helpful with all of our questions, making sure we didn't forget certain details and assisting us in any way needed. The day before and day of the wedding she was an absolute life savoir. Multiple times when things got stressful or complicated she NEVER hesitated to jump right in and fix or adjust. Everything turned out beautiful, I loved every bit of it all. Set up, clean up, etc was made a breeze for our wedding with over 150+ people. I would do it all over again and not change a single thing about it. Highly recommend The Barn at the Silver Spur Resort and even more so Misty as your Wedding Coordinator there!

I needed somewhere to give me full commitment and communication and Lunden was great all of Silver Spur was Great!!! I asked to take my bridals on site and Lunden was there every step of the way. Helping me put my dress and shoes on for those special pictures. I donât live close to the barn. We live out in Houston and have family in Dallas and so we chose a place close to my family. My fiancĂ© was in a wedding at the barn years ago and knew I was going to love it. From the moment I stepped foot in the barn to the full packages they provide everything turned towards a yes for us to have our special day at The Silver Spur Resort. On site they have everything you need and this was another reason we chose this location! They had so much for us to keep busy when there was down time on Wedding weekend: escape room, the ponds, the pool, the Q&Brew the fire pits. From the Cordinator to the catering (Q&Brew) to the DJ (DJ Sherm) to the bar tender and security on site everyone was AMAZING!!!! Seriously is was a night to remember. I recommend this location due to the amount of stress lifted off of the brides shoulders! Well, Covid happened in March 2020 and per the discussions and contract agreements, we decided to move our Big Day to the next available date, (which happened to be July 11, 2020). After finalizing this, I realized my paternal grandparents anniversary was July 11, only 68 years before, which made it all the more special. Carrie and Misty were so helpful throughout the whole planning process & proved to make everything so easy! They answered every question and all my issues from this (almost) bridezilla, (because of covid...), without hesitation! This venue and staff were so amazing and I recommend Carrie as the coordinator/planner. She and all the Silver Spur staff were amazing from the day we signed the contract till after the Big Day when they sent our refundable clean-up/damage fee back. And they gave us this amazing decorative board with our ânewâ Last Name! It was absolutely the best day ever & I couldnât have imagined or made it possible without this truly awesome venue or the Silver Spur staff and team! AMAZING!!!! This venue was everything!!! The barn was the perfect size space for our 150 guest! From the on site lodging for all friends and family to enjoy the weekend with us , to the Q & Brew Restaurant and craft beer, and fishing in the onsite pond. All the vendors we met and spoke with were so helpful and their work speaks for itself! Our wedding turned out to be everything we dreamed of and more! We rented the house and all 10 cabins for our family and bridal party, it was so perfect to have everyone so close. I still have people bragging about how perfect the wedding was and how amazing the silver spur and the team was! I wish I could relive our day 100x over. When my husband and I first went to see it we instantly loved it and knew thatâs where we had to get married! We did not have to go tour other places because we knew this place was where we wanted to start our love story! We had our ceremony outside and our reception inside the barn! But let me tell you you wonât go wrong doing either or itâs such a beautiful place that it doesnât matter! We had great help from Misty! She had all the answers to my husbands twenty questions and for her Iâm so grateful! We didnât need much decorations to put up because they have so many to let you borrow for your perfect day and the barn itself is so beautiful that it doesnât need much to shine. We also had our immediate family stay with us in the cabin and in the big house and that was a great experience as well. Both the cabins and big house make you feel right at home. Theyâre very clean and have a great county feeling to them! I loved the overview the house has over the barn in the morning itâs such a great feeling waking up to fresh country air! We really loved the silver spur for our day and cannot thank everyone there enough for making us feel at home and less stressed about getting married! We have already gave one of my cousins information on this venue because she loved it so much too that she wants to get married here too! I feel as if there are not enough works to describe our experience at the Silver Spur. Our wedding was October 20th, 2018. My now husband and I got engaged in August of 2017. When we started looking for venues, the Silver Spur had not even opened yet. I reached out over face book to set up a tour and the same day met with the owner and Misty. As soon as we finished our tour, I knew that was the place. Through out the planning process, I kept in touch with Misty about decorations and thoughts for our ceremony and set up for reception. I also attended the bridal shows and found Kelly and her husband (Significance Videography) for our videographer. I can not thank Misty enough for all the help throughout the process!!! Fast Forward to the week of the wedding, the weather did not cooperate (typical Texas Weather) and rained the whole week which made the grass soggy, so we had to come up with a plan B. Misty shared some ideas with us and thank god for my amazing family we created an amazing in door ceremony and reception area. The day of, THERE WAS MINIMAL issues!!!! Everyone that was involved the day of was AMAZING!!!! From timing entrances to the security to the bartender, they all felt like part of the family and that meant a lot!! The Silver Spur is a BEAUTIFUL venue, but the staff make it even better!!! We will be returning in the future for any occasions in the future!!!

Every single guest who came to our special day commented on what a perfect location it is for a wedding, and how much it reflected us as a couple.The one thing we really liked was the peace and quiet, tranquility, and sense of being with Nature.The gardens speak for themselves as a stunning back drop, and unlike so many other wedding venues, you donât feel like youâre on a conveyor belt with the next wedding lined up after you. We really had a sense of exclusivity, and as if the place was our own. (we wish!!)Many of our friends said it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and of course we had to agree as everything was so perfect.Everything about Silver Spur Ranch is magical, and from the moment you arrive, you get a sense of being somewhere very unique and special.There is so much attention to detail that you have added, some of it doesnât get noticed until looking through the photographs afterwards. Where do we begin, with our gratitude and thanks to The Barn at the Silver Spur Resort team?We found the venue by accident while searching for a âbarnâ venue on Facebook, and all it took was one visit and we had fallen in love with Silver Spur, and knew the search was over. Every single guest who came to our special day commented on what a perfect location it is for a wedding, and how much it reflected us as a couple.The one thing we really liked was the peace and quiet, tranquility, and sense of being with Nature.The gardens speak for themselves as a stunning back drop, and unlike so many other wedding venues, you donât feel like youâre on a conveyor belt with the next wedding lined up after you. We really had a sense of exclusivity, and as if the place was our own. (we wish!!)Many of our friends said it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and of course we had to agree as everything was so perfect.Everything about Silver Spur Ranch is magical, and from the moment you arrive, you get a sense of being somewhere very unique and special.There is so much attention to detail that you have added, some of it doesnât get noticed until looking through the photographs afterwards. Great experience with the Silver.Spur!I was the Father of the Bride, and probably the most reluctant to choose the Silver Spur for my daughterâs wedding. When we booked the venue, the barn was ready, but much of the grounds were under construction. We were planning a wedding for 150-200 guests, and my wife and I live out of state. So I was concerned about the site for sufficient accommodations as well as the abilities of the staff to manage the planning and the event itself. We were also concerned about costs spiraling out of control without us being around to keep an eye on things. As it turned out, my fears never materialized. We worked with Misty at the Silver Spur and she was an absolute darling. Misty assured us from day one that she would be integrally involved throughout the process. She promised to stay on top of various vendors (caterer, cake, florist, etc.). And, she did. She kept us informed, stayed on budget and she executed our desires to a âTâ. The planning and preparation were practically perfect. The big day was a seamless extension of the months of preparation. It was as if Misty had planned thousands of weddings (though she appears far too young to have such extensive experience).With such a big event, invariably some detail gets overlookedâbut not with Misty and the Silver Spur. Never a worryânever a crisis, or even a concern. Our guests raved about the beauty and rustic elegance of the ceremony. And, we actually got to enjoy the eventâmy wife and I got to visit with our guests, and we danced into the evening without a worry because Misty (and her very able assistant, London) had things completely under control.But thatâs not all. On the day after the event, the mother of the bride realized that she had mislaid the handkerchief the bride had made for her with a needlepoint message. We could not locate it anywhere, and became convinced that it was lost or had been thrown away. In a last ditch effort we called Misty to see if someone might have seen it. The staff at the Silver Spur combed through the trash and FOUND IT. Are you kidding me?! Who provides that level of service?I cannot rave enough about our experience from beginning to end. The accommodations were impeccable; the planning was thorough, and the performance was unbelievable. We have had friends who have chosen alternative venues for their daughterâs wedding. Many of the other places provide an equally beautiful setting for a memorable event. Invariably the back story is told of mediocre service, or being nickel and dimed at every turn, or even worse, not being able to sit back and enjoy their daughterâs wedding. To be sure, you can spend a lot more on a different venue, but you wouldâve hard-pressed to find better service, or a better overall experience. The Silver Spur receives my highest rating and my strongest recommendation. We would choose them again without hesitation.

Worst experience. I got married here 3 weeks ago. We practically purchased everything this venue had to offer. We booked the venue for TWO days, and booked the cabins & the big house the day of the wedding. When we booked this venue 9 months ago we were told that it could fit 300 people for an indoor or outdoor ceremony. We planned for an outdoor ceremony however the forecast showed rain on our wedding day. Once arranging the tables for approximately 250 guests we quickly learned what a tight squeeze it would be. In order to have the ceremony indoors with 250 people meant guests sat at their tables and no real space for an aisle walkway (which every bride dreams of the important walk down the aisle). Since it was still the day before the wedding the venue coordinator suggested renting a large outdoor tent from an outside company to accommodate for space. She suggested putting the tent at the far end of the barn where the sliding barn doors are located and this could provide additional space. The tent was ordered & paid for by us (for $2,000) and when the tent rental company arrived & started setting up the tent we were then told by the owner we couldnât use the tent. After talking it over the venue did agree to the non-refundable tent their venue coordinator had suggested. However they wanted the tent to be moved back an additional 2ft. in case of rain run off. Clearly there is no communication between the workers & owner/management. I was then asked what my backup plan was, if it did in-fact rain on our wedding day? Followed by the venue asking me if I had an alter to use for indoors? Isnât that the venues job to have a backup plan for rainy weather? We received no assistance for rehearsal the night before the wedding. No one from the wedding venue was even onsite helping coordinate things. The morning of my wedding no one was there to tell people where to go or where the bridal party should be getting ready at. We were then told that if our wedding started at 5PM & if we wanted to start serving alcohol to our guests at 5:30PM all alcohol would be cut off at 9:30PM, even though in previous conversation/text messages with the venues coordinator stating that we would pay an additional $50/hr to keep security on-site since we requested an additional hour of serving alcohol. I (the bride) then get a text message from the venues coordinator that we need to have a MEETING less than two hours before my wedding was about to start. Since the weather didnât work out in our favor and it did rain they provided NO transportation (they have a covered golf cart) to get me to the barn. So my wedding dress got wet and dirty on the bottom before my ceremony even started. Once the wedding did start and the celebration began the venue employees did not help assist with anything. No one helped pick up plates after dinner. No one walked around making sure things were going as planned/ on schedule. The only thing they did was have the security officer threaten my guests on DWIâs. A lot of my wedding guest told me days after the wedding that they felt uncomfortable being at the venue drinking because of the way the security officer and venue workers talked to them. Multiple guests told me that the security officer stated they would have every police officer/DPS officer lined up on HWY 19 doing sobriety checks. . .So if youâre a bride that wants a stressful / drama filled wedding then this is the place for you. Otherwise look elsewhere.

I looked at other venues but always compared them to this one thatâs when I knew this one was it. Misty is absolutely great to work with, she makes sure all your questions are answered immediately. We got the platinum package and it was so well worth it, all the vendors were phenomenal and professional! The package added an ease that would be hard to plan individually. We had 130 guests, as our outside ceremony plans for rained out, we moved inside! I had enough room for all the tables, everyone was sat comfortably, a large aisle, and a Ceremony set up for immediate family in the front of the barn, which we later turned into the dance floor! I could not have asked for a better experience! Everything turned out perfect and easy! I would highly recommend this venue to everyone! The team and the employees are just as great and continually went out of their way to make our day special.

We loved our October 28th wedding at the Silver Spur Resort! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. The barn is beautiful, the ceremony site in front of the pond is perfect, the decorations and everything that you have to choose from at the barn really added those finishing touches to make the day extra special. They even have two s'mores fire pits, which the guests really enjoyed. We rented out the entire bed and breakfast the weekend of our wedding, so that we had it all to ourselves and really enjoyed being there on-site to get ready. This allowed us to have more time to decorate too! Some of our guests also enjoyed staying the night in the tiny cabins next to the barn. The cabins are great if you have family from out of town who need a place to stay, or for those guests that have too much fun and shouldn't drive afterwards. ;) Misty is an amazing coordinator and was very helpful throughout the entire process. We really loved this country/rustic setting for our wedding and highly recommend The Silver Spur Resort if you're looking for a great country wedding destination. I wouldn't change a thing about our wedding day even if I could! You won't regret it!
