Located in Chapel Hill, NC, The Barn at Valhalla is a rustic farm venue that hosts weddings and other special events. The management of this charming property invites you to enjoy your festivities in this rural setting. You and your loved ones may anticipate a destination experience for your country wedding. The Barn at Valhalla is nestled on 35 bucolic acres, featuring meadows, rolling hillsides, pines, and water. This picture-perfect venue is in a secluded and peaceful location though still within convenient driving distance of several cities. It is 45 minutes from downtown Raleigh, 30 minutes from downtown Durham, and 40 minutes from downtown Greensboro. These serene grounds include the namesake barn, a private lodge, a gazebo, a hearth deck, and a lake. You may exchange your vows outdoors amid natural beauty, with grasses, trees, and water as your backdrop. You and your loved ones may then proceed indoors to the event barn for indoor festivities. Furthermore, parking spaces and wheelchair-accessible spaces add convenience and comfort for all guests. The Barn at Valhalla team provides a range of wedding packages to meet the requirements of your special celebration. You may select from packages for weekend overnight rental, weekday overnight rental, and single-day rental with no overnight. The Barn interior can host up to 125 seated guests or ceremonies of up to 149 guests. Larger parties can be accommodated with tented space. These staff members offer services such as event planning, setup, cleanup, and the use of accommodations, get-ready rooms, audio-visual equipment, and event rentals. On-site accommodations are readily available in the Lodge for up to 24 guests.

We were so fortunate to have our wedding at the Barn at Valhalla. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue with options for indoor and outdoor ceremonies. The biggest bonus for us was that we were able to rent the venue for the entire weekend and our bridal party could stay on site with us- the rental includes the barn with a loft that has 4 bedrooms and the house which includes a bridal suite, a guest room, and a man cave/bunk room equipped with everything the groomsmen could want (pool table, poker table, darts, cornhole, etc.). I also highly recommend the day of coordination services because Marguerite was wonderful to work with and made our wedding day stress free! She took care of everything and made sure the day ran so smoothly that I had absolutely nothing to worry about. She was also very responsive to emails and answered any questions we could think of leading up to the big day. I would absolutely recommend this venue to any couple looking to get married in a picturesque location!

My husband and I spent hours researching wedding venues and the barn stood out to us from thebeginning. After seeing it in person, we knew we had found the perfect place to have our wedding.Throughout the entire process Marguerite and her team were incredibly helpful, responsive, and verypatient with all my questions. Leading up to the wedding I had no worries about the day because I felt socomfortable with Marguerite and her team. We loved being able to have our family and the weddingparty stay on site, and the ability to have the barn from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon. We got tospend so much extra time with our friends and family having the whole weekend with them. Waking upat the barn the day of the wedding was made even better by how peaceful the setting is there. Our daughter and then-fiancĂ© knew immediately that this was where they wanted to get married! We began our journey with Marguerite in July of 2021. The results 2 weekends ago surpassed everyoneâs dreams of a perfect wedding, even the weather cooperated! Emails, phone calls, all questions answered, and helpful suggestions were all part of the process. I was not there for initial tour, however, Marguerite made time for a second tour when I visited NC. The venue is stunning! From the Barn, the Lodge, the deck w/ fireplace, the cabins, the RV, the tiny house, and the Gazebo, everything was thoroughly enjoyed. Marguerite and her staff truly worked hard on Friday (rehearsal), Saturday (wedding) and Sunday (clean up). The wedding was beautiful! The reception , of which we did not see results of decorating until we made our way to the tent after pictures, was perfect. They set up the tables, chairs, place settings. The florist, Blossom Artistry, took care of flowers and table decorations! The Barn was set up with cake and dessert table and welcome table. Marguerite was there every step of the way! We received so many compliments for family and guests about the venue, the wedding/reception and what a wonderful time they had! So many lovely spots for pictures! Staying the 2 nights at the venue was so great! This was a 14 month planning process and the result did not disappoint. We highly recommend The Barn at Valhalla!

We absolutely adored the Barn at Valhalla and are so, so glad that we chose this venue for our special day! The location is absolutely incredible, like an absolute dream venue, with multiple options for ceremony sites ranging from an indoor site in the lodge to the patio to multiple different outdoor spots by the pond or in the woods. We had our ceremony in the woods and it was absolutely magical, with bird song and the sound of a stream and a long, dramatic walk up into the forest for the aisle. We then had our reception in the barn, which was the perfect space for food and dancing. The venue really works well to allow you to have a bit of everything for your guests- people ended up dancing inside, mingling out on the porch, wandering the grounds, or playing cornhole on the lawn and it was really great for everyone to have something that they enjoyed doing so everyone had a great time. Everyone raved about how beautiful the venue was. The biggest benefit to the venue is getting it for the entire weekend- this was really a game changer and a huge benefit over other venues we saw. Not only did it feel like we were on some sort of extremely fancy vacation with all of our loved ones, it made logistics so much easier, with no need for people to get themselves to the venue or get ready somewhere else or find an uber to get them back to the hotel afterwards or anything. The lodging included is super comfortable and beautifully designed, with super comfy huge beds- I wish I could sleep in that bed every night, and our whole wedding party commented that they wanted to stay for much longer than we did! The downstairs game room is also amazing and made for a great spot to have the afterparty, and we even had people over to the venue the night before the wedding for a bonfire that the Barn made for us. Marguerite can be difficult to get a hold of sometimes because she is busy doing so, so many different things for the venue but we are incredibly appreciative of her being able to accommodate us pushing our date back by a year due to covid, and then us having to emergency reschedule when we were only four days out from our intended wedding date because I ended up getting covid. We expected her to say that the next available date was years away but she was able to squeeze us in only two months after our intended date, which felt like an absolute miracle, and we can't thank her enough for being able to do that and letting us still have our dream wedding despite that nightmare scenario happening! We will treasure our memories from the Barn forever.

We had such an amazing wedding thanks to Marguerite and her team at the barn at Valhalla! Marguerite was with us every step of the way to make sure that our wedding was every thing that we wanted. She is amazing to work with and the amount of options at the venue are endless. We actually changed our ceremony site the day before the wedding and Marguerite made sure that it went off without out a hitch. Not only do you get the venue for the entire weekend there is so much sleeping space all of our wedding party and our families were able to stay on site. Her team was extremely helpful and professional and were there the entire weekend to make sure everything ran smoothly. While we were getting ready Marguerite and team set up all of the decor and it looked exactly how we envisioned it. Throughout the night Marguerite helped us stay on schedule but we never felt rushed as she would give us our options so we got to choose how we wanted the entire night to run which we really appreciated. All of our guests commented about how beautiful the venue is and we enjoyed being able to use the place the entire weekend! 10/10 recommend!

From the moment the wedding party arrived on Friday until departure on Sunday, everything was well coordinated and executed with extreme care and dedication. Marguerite is a jewel to work with and really goes the extra mile to ensure your wedding experience is nothing less than spectacular! It was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding. The entire staff were incredible and attended to every detail with excellence. Each guest we spoke with said that this was the most beautiful and most fun wedding they had ever attended. Marguerite, her team, and the Barn at Valhalla venue receive the highest marks possible for an incredible wedding experience!

This venue is fantastic! Every single guest raved about how beautiful it was. This was the first and only venue we visited because we knew right away it was the perfect one for us. Marguerite is a joy to work with and she went out of her way to source the perfect napkins and place settings for us. In addition to how beautiful it is, it was so great to be able to rent the venue for the entire weekend. Being able to have my wedding party (and their significant others!) on site from Friday to Sunday morning was amazing and the accommodations are so gorgeous and comfortable. Seriously, that alone was worth every penny. We didn't end up doing our rehearsal dinner onsite but that can totally be done too. Also, the honeymoon/bridal suite, and more specifically the shower and hot tub, are not to be missed! I really can't recommend this venue enough.

The Barn at Valhalla was the last venue we visited, and we knew that it was the one right away. We knew we wanted our wedding to feel fun, joyous, intimate and personal and the Barn fit the bill perfectly! It was important to us that our families and wedding party could spend extended time together over the weekend, and this was absolutely the right place for that. This venue is the best of several worlds, as if a serene mountain cabin getaway, joyous overnight summer camp, and chic resort and spa were rolled into one space. At every step of the way, our family and friends were stunned by the Barnâs effortless charm, and we made sure to take full advantage of the property over the course of our weekend staying there. We chose to hold our ceremony down in the Grove by the edge of the lake, our rehearsal dinner in the Lodge, and our reception at the Barn (with the cocktail hour on the Barn deck). But really you canât go wrong here, as Marguerite has put such care and attention into the Barn. Sheâs constantly updating and improving it, from the hidden basement hangout lounge (behind a secret door!) to added lodging like the RV and Tiny House - our guests took advantage of all of it! We loved staying here â the honeymoon suite is incredible! â and so did members of our wedding party. We didnât want to check out and talked about how we wished we could come back for a weekend getaway on our own to soak in the hot tub, drink morning coffee out along the gazebo, and marvel at the year-round elegance and radiance of the Barn at Valhalla. We're so happy to have had the opportunity to celebrate our postponed wedding here; it was a dream!

Words alone cannot fully capture how beautiful and special the Barn at Valhalla is for a wedding celebration. When considering locations to get married, the Barn at Valhalla was at the top of our âdream venueâ list due to the stunning location, the convenient weekend rental option, and proximity to a town near and dear to our hearts while still feeling secluded from the hustle and bustle of UNC. It was important to us to hold our wedding celebrations somewhere where our loved ones could gather, stay, and relax for the weekend without having to travel to and from a hotel. Having the venue from 8:00am Friday to noon on Sunday meant that we had plenty of time to scope out ceremony and reception options and fully soak in the beauty of the venue. Our guests were BLOWN AWAY by how gorgeous the venue is - Iâm pretty sure âmagicalâ is the top word I heard throughout the weekend to describe it. Having flexibility in selecting vendors and having endless options for where to hold each part of the wedding celebration brought a creativity and fun to planning that Iâm positive we wouldnât have experienced anywhere else. Marguerite and her team were friendly, responsive, and so helpful when snafus popped up during the wedding weekend. Iâll forever be grateful for Margueriteâs kindness when we had to postpone our wedding a full year due to COVID and for how easy and painless the rescheduling process was. Margueriteâs day-of coordination services made executing our âvisionâ a breeze, and knowing we were in good hands on our wedding day helped us relax and be in the moment. The Barn at Valhalla is a one-of-a-kind venue that allowed us to create a magical and unforgettable wedding, and we are so thankful to have made lifelong memories there!

It was important to us to hold our wedding celebrations somewhere where our loved ones could gather, stay, and relax for the weekend without having to travel to and from a hotel. Having the venue from 8:00am Friday to noon on Sunday meant that we had plenty of time to scope out ceremony and reception options and fully soak in the beauty of the venue. Our guests were BLOWN AWAY by how gorgeous the venue is - Iâm pretty sure âmagicalâ is the top word I heard throughout the weekend to describe it. Having flexibility in selecting vendors and having endless options for where to hold each part of the wedding celebration brought a creativity and fun to planning that Iâm positive we wouldnât have experienced anywhere else. Marguerite and her team were friendly, responsive, and so helpful when snafus popped up during the wedding weekend. Iâll forever be grateful for Margueriteâs kindness when we had to postpone our wedding a full year due to COVID and for how easy and painless the rescheduling process was. Margueriteâs day-of coordination services made executing our âvisionâ a breeze, and knowing we were in good hands on our wedding day helped us relax and be in the moment. The Barn at Valhalla is a one-of-a-kind venue that allowed us to create a magical and unforgettable wedding, and we are so thankful to have made lifelong memories there!

From the moment I visited and toured the Barn at Valhalla I was awestruck. Its ticked away out in the country but still close to the airport. We had both our wedding and reception here, there was enough space to sleep everyone there both the night before and night of the wedding. We hired Marguerite as our coordinator and I couldn't have asked for more, she was so accommodating and helpful, so many things I wouldn't have thought of she handled and things I thought I had to take care of myself she was already on it. I recommend this venue to anyone that wants to be able to enjoy their ceremony and relax. The scenery is gorgeous, the people are great, and even the beds are like clouds!

Outside of the venue being gorgeous, especially in the Fall, the reason I booked it was because you are able to have it for the entire weekend which was perfect for my guest list that all traveled from out of state. The honeymoon suite was perfect, guests thoroughly enjoyed the games available in the basement, the property offered up many beautiful photo op locations, and so much more!! Words cannot describe how intimate and beautiful The Barn at Valhalla is. We wanted a venue where our friends and families could come together, spend time, and join us for more than just few hours and that is exactly what The Barn provides. We had our rehearsal dinner on Friday evening followed by pretty much everything from enjoying some quiet time near the fire or down at the Gazebo to playing games of pool, darts, ping pong, and poker in the game room. Saturday was our wedding and it could not have been more perfect. Marguerite and her team were so responsive and helped us with anything and everything that we needed up until hours before our wedding. Whenever we had questions we received a response within a few hours but it was usually within the hour! We visited the venue four times during our planning and each time we arrived it was even more breathtaking. Our wedding was almost a week ago and we are still receiving calls and texts of how amazing it was!! Pictures and words do not do The Barn at Valhalla justice, I assure you if you go and visit you will not be disappointed. Thank you again for everything Marguerite!!

We are so happy we chose the Barn at Valhalla. Marguerite was easy to work with and great about quickly responding to emails. We visited the site 3 times over the course of our planning, and each time, everyone there was hard at work painting and repairing to make sure the property was in top condition. You could tell the owners are really proud of that place. We rented for the whole weekend, which meant we had run of the place and were able to host our wedding party in the ample guest rooms so they didn't have to buy hotel rooms, and we could have the rehersal, ceremony and reception on site instead of having to book different locations. Wedding venues are expensive, but we felt we really got the maximum use out of this place. It was absolutely beautiful, and we wouldn't have wanted to get married anywhere else.

We were able to enjoy the beauty of strange weather event that would have ruined the night had we gone with another outdoor venue. I will always remember the Barn from that night of serendipity!!!

We researched several venues and went to visit all of them, but once we saw the Barn our decision was made. We had a lot of out of town guests and it was a perfect place for us to have family stay with us while we prepared for our big day! The landscaping is beautiful and the pictures that we got were amazing. There were so many amenities that we were able to take advantage of from the game room for down time to the lodge and kitchen areas for breakfast with family. It was truly the most beautiful venue I've ever seen, all of our guests were so impressed and we are still getting rave reviews. The managers were so helpful throughout and kind. My now husband and I live out of state from most of our family and friends, so choosing a venue that would allow us to spend quality time with our out of town guests was important to us. The Barn at Valhalla allows rental for the entire weekend of your wedding, including guests to stay with enough sleeping accommodations to allow for our whole wedding party to stay with us for the entirety of the weekend! Not to mention, the venue itself is absolutely stunning! Once we laid our eyes on the Barn, we pretty much knew it was where we were going to get married. We looked at other venues afterward, but kept coming back to the Barn. We are so glad we did! We had our ceremony outdoors underneath the trees, and despite a hurricane hitting the weekend before the wedding, the owners were very responsive to any issues that came up as a result of the storm and were promptly available. We did have some issues that were unresolvable, but the owners handled it as best they could and were very apologetic. We realize that mother nature took things a bit out of their hands, and we appreciated how attentive they were to our needs! The Barn at Valhall is the most stunning backdrop we could have asked for, and our wedding photos (as well as our engagement photos, also taken there) will be cherished forever because of it!

I attended a 4:00pm Saturday family wedding at The Barn at Valhalla in Chapel Hill recently and would like to express how perfect the wedding was because of the staff and owners at The Barn at Valhalla. First the venue itself is so gorgeous and well maintained. The wide variety of resources included there is unbelievable. From the tastefully decorated bedrooms to all the included amenities we were so happy to spend the whole weekend with our family there. There were so many gracious touches included with the space. I especially loved the chandeliers in the Barn where they had their ceremony. Parking was so convenient and plentiful. The location was secluded and majestic but close to town. You could tell the owners and staff do everything possible to make the quests comfortable. They were so accommodating and such a pleasure to work with during the wedding. Our family had our rehearsal dinner, the ceremony and the goodbye brunch there and was so grateful for the attention to detail. From the game room for the guys to the gorgeous rooms for the gals to get ready, I just canât say enough. I recommend this place to anyone for any type of event. Our family's experience at Valhalla was outstanding! From the time of our first tour to checking out the day after the wedding, we were shown incredible cooperation and patience. Any question you had was answered quickly and you never felt as though the question was silly. Marguerite and her family offered suggestions when we had doubts about set-ups or anything else. Definitely, professionalism with the heart to see that my daughter's wedding was going to be as she wanted it. It felt like her wedding mattered and that they were family too, pulling along with us to make sure all went well.For those that were there all three days, it offered a time for two families to bond and old friends to rekindle memories. All our guests were impressed by the beauty of the venue and the peaceful atmosphere it radiated.The back drop of nature made every bridesmaid walking toward the outside stone fireplace beautiful and made my daughter, the bride, glow among the fall leafs as she said her vows.Valhalla is not a venue, but an experience you and your guests will remember for a lifetime!

My husband and I are incredibly pleased with our experience at the Barn at Valhalla!! There are so many aspects to the venue that we loved. Right off the bat, we were thrilled that friends and family could stay on-site with us the whole weekend (Fri-Sun). Many of our guests were from out of town, so this meant we could spend so much more time with them than if they stayed at a separate hotel. Plus the lodging is so beautiful and comfortable (incredible bridal suite and enormous shower!) and the grounds are gorgeous! There are multiple ceremony spots to choose from (we chose in the woods next to the pond), so many great places for photos, as well as for guests to enjoy. Our guests loved sitting and chatting by the big fireplace and spending the cocktail hour on the huge porch overlooking the pond. The getting ready rooms above the barn are decorated beautifully-- perfect for spending time the day-of with bridesmaids -- and of course for photos. We were really glad that we could have our rehearsal dinner on-site on Friday night, just following the rehearsal, but that it was in a different area than the wedding reception (we had it in the atrium of the Lodge). This meant we could have the rehearsal dinner catered by a restaurant, and bring our own wine and beer, so that it was more of a close party with family and friends (and save a lot of money and a drive across town). Since the venue is so customize-able, we were also able to save tons of money by DIYing our decor, bringing in our own flowers and drinks (from a grocery store!), and using a caterer who was right for us. The one downside to this though is that we ended up bringing a lot of stuff in and out of the venue, setting it up, etc. For us it was totally worth it, but it did involve packing/unpacking the cars and setting things up. This of course could be avoided by using rentals, a florist, and a bartender company. The inside of the barn was almost too tight for our ~100 guests, but we made it work by renting more long tables. It is very nice that the venue provides many round tables and chairs, so you may not need to rent more. They also provide two bars, cocktail tables, and more. You can also put tables out on the porch if the weather is nice. We had our after party in the basement game room of the lodge, which was perfect. Guests played pool, video games, music, chatted-- it had everything we needed and it was just steps from the reception! Fair warning - it is located just a bit far out for any deliveries or driving/transportation services from Chapel Hill, so do plan ahead! From beginning to end, the owners of the Barn at Valhalla were so responsive, kind, and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure all our questions were answered- even texting with us day of when we couldn't find something we needed. They really cared that we enjoyed our time at the venue. We had a beautiful wedding, and in large part, it was bc of our venue. Overall, the Barn at Valhalla was exactly what we were looking for the biggest day of our lives, and we are so pleased with our experience!!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Choosing the Barn at Valhalla was one of the smartest decisions we made in planning our wedding! Carly and Dillon made sure that the venue was immaculate and ready for our special weekend. We were very lucky to have perfect weather for our fall wedding, and the fun and stockpile of amenities helped with that. It was very helpful to have coolers, tables, chairs, etc. at our disposal for us and our guests. Everyone also enjoyed the pool table, ping pong, darts, and more!!! The venue provided plenty of room for many, and the master suite was FANTASTIC! We highly recommend choosing the Barn at Valhalla for your wedding. You won't be disappointed!!!

Carly and Dillon made sure that the venue was immaculate and ready for our special weekend. We were very lucky to have perfect weather for our fall wedding, and the fun and stockpile of amenities helped with that. It was very helpful to have coolers, tables, chairs, etc. at our disposal for us and our guests. Everyone also enjoyed the pool table, ping pong, darts, and more!!! The venue provided plenty of room for many, and the master suite was FANTASTIC! We highly recommend choosing the Barn at Valhalla for your wedding. You won't be disappointed!!!

Aside from its stunning, natural beauty, we loved being able to extend the party from Thursday to Sunday. It is truly a unique venue that allows you to have an entire wedding weekend to celebrate instead of just one day. With our bridal party and family being from out of state, we were able to have everyone stay onsite with us in the lodge and the sleeping quarters in the Barn and that was the best gift. Carly & Dillon are so sweet and the absolute best to work with, they genuinely care about your experience and feel like friends to us after having worked with them. The Barn at Valhalla is amazing, we could not be happier with our choice and will always cherish it as part of our big day.

Booking this venue was the best choice my husband and I made in our wedding planning process. The site is incredibly gorgeous, inside and out, and impeccably decorated. The amount of lovely spaces available within the site made for incredible photographs and allowed us to throw three lovely and unique events on the property over the course of the weekend. One particular highlight for us was the honeymoon suite and its steam shower and jacuzzi that kept us feeling pampered and relaxed all weekend long. What made this place really special, though, was the owners, Dillon and Carly. They were exceptionally warm, enthusiastic and accommodating. Throughout our 18 month planning process they were very accessible for our myriad of questions and site visits. They gave a resounding yes to every crazy idea we came to them with, including digging holes in the ground for signs and inviting 40 of our nearest and dearest to move in with us for the weekend. They even worked with us to organize the transitions and took care of it for us for a great price. They take such great care of the property and put so much heart into their work, which made it so fun and easy for us for work with them. Upon moving in the place was in spectacular condition and they were there to help us get settled. They didn't leave until we felt confident we could find everything we needed, and remained close by and available if we needed them. Everything went off without a hitch (except for when we destroyed the cake during the cake cutting!) and we owe so much of the magic of the weekend to Carly, Dillon, and The Barn at Valhalla. We got married a week ago, and I\"m still getting texts saying \" What a magical place that was -let's do it again!\" If you're looking to host a stylish and personalized event that's ultra private and highlights the beauty of natural NC, this place can't be beat.

We rented out the entire venue for our wedding in April 2017, and it was absolutely perfect. First off, the venue is GORGEOUS--it was amazing to find a waterside venue with the perfect laid back (but not TOO casual)/ mountain lodge (but not TOO gimicky) vibe in Chapel Hill. The size and variety of the space also made it possible for us to host the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception in different locations throughout the weekend, which saved us a ton of time/money/headaches in additional coordination (and coordination costs). And having the venue for the whole weekend not only made things SO much easier, but it also made the weekend feel way more special. Even though we live 15 minutes away in Chapel Hill, being able to stay at the venue (above the Barn) the night before with my bridesmaids, and then elsewhere (in the Lodge) with my husband the night of, made it feel like a luxurious weekend away. It was also great to be able to keep the party going late on both Friday and Saturday, without having to worry about being kicked out or the lights turned on. Staff wise, they were also fantastic. Leading up the event, we exclusively worked with Barbara, and she was super responsive and helpful, and great at letting us come by the venue throughout the planning process (e.g. to show our parents around, hold walk-throughs with vendors, etc). We didn't meet Carly and Dillon (the owners) until the wedding weekend itself, but they both seemed lovely, and even did all the clean-up on Sunday!The one thing I will say is that the venue is very DIY, meaning that other than chairs/tables, it's up to you to find catering, alcohol, linens, tents/additional lighting, etc. For us, this was absolutely fine, and in fact was why we chose the Barn in the first place--we wanted a venue that was highly customizable and allowed us to bring in our own vendors. But for those who are looking for a full service venue, or who don't want to spend time or energy looking for lots of vendors, this might not be the place for you (though having a well-skilled coordinator will definitely help--we used C&D events, and they pretty much single handedly ensured that everything went off without a hitch).

The Barn at Vahallia is a wonderful setting for your wedding. Even though we chose not to use all of the facilities, they do offer bedrooms and a house where your wedding party can stay. The only thing that I would warn is if your wedding is more than 90 people, you may want to choose a larger venue or be sure to rent both the barn and the house. We had 95 guests. We held the ceremony outside, which was beautiful with the pond in the background, but it was hard to fit all of our guests in the barn for the reception. In the end we rented a small tent to add space. If you rent the house as well, dinner could be set up in the barn/house and the dance floor in the other. Also, it took a while to get our deposit back (well over a month). All in all, it is a gorgeous setting and the perfect place for an all-inclusive, small (90-100 people) wedding.

The Barn comes with all the bells and whistles classy dish wear and silverware to the decrative library and out of this world man cave and hot-tub. They have all the tables and chairs for your ceremony and reception. Style of round rectangle or square to fit any dream exactly how you dreamed it. They have really nice folding ( white chairs) to complement an elegant wedding as well. Everything was so easy to get to without any issues. An extremely spacious venue but not over whelming. There is a great staff that will assist you with any of your needs or concerns. They are dedicated to making sure your special day is all you ever wanted. They went above and beyond for my wife and I. Great Americans! Extremely friendly and sincere. This venue sits right beside a beautiful lake. And softest grass you will ever put your feet on. Eligant! I cannot say it enough. The joy and expierence you will have is litterally breath taking. Its worth every penny!

For our wedding, this was the perfect venue. Dillon and Carly (the owners) are very nice, very helpful, were insistent on being there when we arrived and help setup things as much as they could. I feel like anything we wanted they would have done happily. They really wanted us to have the best weekend possible. We loved the autonomy we were given. Basically, here is a beautiful venue with a lot space, gazebo, tables, etc - do whatever you want them, just try not break anything.We had a lot of Indian ceremonies, so having the venue for the whole weekend was perfect for all the events. Being able to stay on site with a lot of family also helped with organizing and setting up all these events. The suite for the bride and groom is ridiculously cool. I just wish we had more hot tub and relaxing time. Misc: for events over a certain size they need you to have a portapotty as backup as theyâre on septic, that was ~$150ish. They also require wedding insurance through their provider at BB&T which was ~$400, apparently itâs tailored for the wedding but also to cover the people staying on site over the weekend. They have some preferred vendors, but allow you to use whoever which is great because some other venues we were looking at required you to use their specific vendor which is also owned by them and was always much more expensive.

We recently got married at the Barn at Valhalla and could not have been more happy with choosing this venue for our wedding. We booked the Barn and Lodge Thursday through Sunday for our Saturday wedding and hosted our international and out-of-town guests on site for the weekend. Barbara, Dillon, and Carly were all extremely kind and helpful in the months and days leading up to the wedding, and willing to work with us to make all of our wedding dreams a reality. We really believe that second to its charm and beauty, the best part about booking the Barn at Valhalla is the ability to turn your wedding day into a wedding weekend and extend the time you have to enjoy every moment of this special time. We were able to set up the day before and clean up the day after, eliminating the need to worry about stopping the party to pack up and leave before midnight. I can honestly say that The Barn at Valhalla was my absolute favorite vendor to work with! My husband and I chose the Barn at Valhalla for our wedding almost a year before our Dec 10 date. We were looking for a Barn that fit both of our needs--rustic yet elegant. And the Barn was perfect!One of the greatest things about the barn is the ability to have it the whole weekend! That's huge! The price is probably a bit higher than most venues, but it's well worth it. You don't have to rush and worry about setting up or breaking down because you get ample time.We also elected to rent the lodge, and we are so glad we did! The lodge includes a beautiful bridal suite that my husband and I enjoyed for the magical weekend. With renting the lodge, we also were able to allow all of our immediate family to stay the whole weekend with us. So no one in our immediate family had to rent hotels or motels. That's a huge plus!The lodge also provided a separate space for the groom and his groomsman to get ready. The basement game room was also a hit with the kids who were in our wedding party. We also hosted our rehearsal dinner in the lodge, which was amazing! Other things to highlight include the many beautiful areas to take pictures. Our couples pictures from the wedding were taken in the field in front of the barn, and the pictures look magical! Unfortunately, the pond was pretty green for our December wedding, so we didn't utilize it for pictures, but I can imagine how gorgeous it looks in the Spring and Summer.I visited the barn several times before our actual wedding day, which isn't always possible at other venues. However, the manager (Barbara) is excellent and understands a Bride's need to plan!!!! And each time we went to the barn there was a new upgrade or new furniture. It always looked better than before!It truly felt like we had a destination wedding! All of our family and friends thanked us for choosing such a beautiful location! And who knows, we may have our 10-year anniversary here :)I have the most beautiful pictures and memories from the barn! This was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!! I highly recommend! Thank you for such a great weekend!!

I can honestly say that The Barn at Valhalla was my absolute favorite vendor to work with! My husband and I chose the Barn at Valhalla for our wedding almost a year before our Dec 10 date. We were looking for a Barn that fit both of our needs--rustic yet elegant. And the Barn was perfect!One of the greatest things about the barn is the ability to have it the whole weekend! That's huge! The price is probably a bit higher than most venues, but it's well worth it. The Barn at Valhalla made my job as mother of the bride easy! As a mom, you want everything to be perfect for your daughter. The venue and the staff made that possible! The venue was flexible with arrival time the day before and their multiple day rental made it so much less stressful because we had plenty of time to get things just how we wanted. Iâve never heard of a venue providing that extra time. On top of that, the venue was gorgeous! There were so many beautiful areas on the property (inside and out) that the guests couldnât get enough of. Pottery Barn decorated the entire venue and each room is so beautiful! No detail is overlooked. Iâm so glad my daughter chose The Barn at Valhalla! I was one happy Mom!

The Barn at Valhalla was such an amazing place to have my wedding! The barn is so naturally beautiful that it really doesn't require much more décor, but at the same time it is easily customizable with whatever theme or look you desire for your wedding. It is also a lovely bonus that it has air conditioning, which was much appreciated for our hot June wedding. We also used the lodge for our wedding weekend, which made it like a destination wedding without the stress of actually planning from really far away. It really made the whole weekend that much better (and less stressful) that we could stay the night with our wedding party from Friday to Sunday. With the boys getting ready in the man cave in the lodge and the girls having the entire upstairs to the barn for ourselves, it was really just the perfect setup. Everyone at the barn is so easy to work with and they really do everything they can to make your day exactly how you dream it!

My sister got married at the Barn at Valhalla last month. It was such a beautiful and wonderful experience. We were able to be on the property from Friday-Sunday. It was so nice to be able to stay at the venue the night before and the night of the wedding. The barn was beautifully furnished and the bridesmaids had more than enough space to get ready for the day of the wedding! The main house was a great event space for the rehearsal dinner and a cool place for the groomsmen to hang out and get ready before the ceremony. The property as a whole made this weekend so special for my sister and our entire family. The lawn was the perfect backdrop for the wedding ceremony and wedding photos. Having dinner in the tent was a great addition to the party space in the barn. Again, I cannot say enough about how awesome it was to not have to travel for any part of the wedding weekend. The owners were extremely helpful and definitely added to everyone's positive experience!! I did not want the weekend to end because I did not want to leave this beautiful property!

We had our wedding at The Barn at Valhalla two weeks ago and everything about our day was perfect! We booked the barn over a year before our wedding, so every time we looked at pictures/visited the site new things were updated (like the speakeasy and the Gazebo). Each time we saw the venue it got better and better!! Something that sets the barn apart from other venues is that we had access to the venue for the whole weekend (Friday-Sunday) which was wonderful for setting up. We used the house at the barn for our rehearsal dinner and the space was perfect for a family dinner (of about 60 people) . Our families could not stop commenting on how beautiful the venue and the surrounding grounds were. Another major advantage is that our entire bridal party was able to sleep at the house and above the barn the night before and the night of the wedding which saved everyone from having to book a separate hotel! We had our ceremony by a tree on the grounds and the property manager had no problem cutting the grass to fit our ceremony site perfectly. We rented a tent which attached nicely to the barn and had our tables for the reception under the tent. We had our dancing and other details in the barn, which was a perfect set up. During cocktail hour we utilized the hearth which was perfect because our guests were able to explore the grounds and not be too confined to one space. So much was included at the barn that booking it as our venue was a must! We could not be happier about our wedding location and would recommend The Barn at Valhalla to friends and anyone looking for an awesome venue!

We had the whole property to ourselves for days, it was like a vacation with my favorite people! And the honeymoon suit was to DIE for, there was even a hot tub and rock waterfall just for me and my husband in our suite! Talk about romantic! I also thought the Barn and Lodge was a great value for what we got and the money my guests saved in hotel costs made a difference. The ceremony and reception went flawlessly and I would 100% Have my wedding over again at the Barn at Valhalla!! Maybe we will, 10 year anniversary?!! Thank you Barn at Valhalla! đ

\rJust had my daughterâs wedding at the Barn of Valhalla, and although the barn and grounds were beautiful, we are very unhappy with the management. When we arrived on Friday, November 6th, it was quite warm outside. We noticed immediately the air conditioning was not working properly upstairs. We called management right away, and were assured that a service person would arrive by the next morning. First, you would think that since we paid $4500, they would be on top of any problems IMMEDIATELY! But we waitedâand after suffering a hot and humid night, we called again in the morning. The wedding party was trying to get ready and it had started raining. It was very hot and steaming upstairs. Hairdoâs failed, makeup ran, and people suffered. The poor photographer about had a heat stroke! Still not a word from management! Another detailâŠ.the outside decorative lights did not work; that was part of the appeal of the place. \rWe waited a few days to see if anyone would contact us about these issues, but sadly no one hasâŠIn my opinion this is no way to run a business!\r\rAlso a word of caution for future bridesâcheck dates to see whatâs going on in Chapel Hill before you book. We happened to book over homecoming weekend, and motel rates skyrocketedâŠ.traffic was a disaster! Many of our guests could not come because of this; I wish management would have been forthcoming... But I take partial blame for this. Overall, itâs a lovely property, just be cautious! I feel like once they have your money, youâre forgotten.

I loved the Barn at Valhalla! I got so many compliments on how beautiful it was, and I enjoyed having a secluded place. It was great to book the location for Friday-Sunday, for about the same price you would pay for 8 hours at a banquet hall! I did hear, however, that the price went up about $1000 since we booked it last year. I'm not certain we would have felt it was as good of a value if it were a higher price.\r\rWe did have an issue where we were confirmed to stay at the Barn until 3pm on Sunday because we had scheduled brunch, and the manager booked the next party to arrive at noon. She said she would push it to later and be there for the transition, but they arrived at noon and did not know we would be there until 3, and she was nowhere to be seen.\r\rAdditionally, there is a good inventory of major items like tables, chairs, etc, but other items like pots and pans for the kitchen, enough blankets for the pull out beds, and other smaller items were difficult to find or not available at all. We had to overpack for a lot of things because we just didn't know if it would be available.\r\rLastly, and this wasn't an issue for me, but may be for other brides, if you use the stone hearth for the ceremony, there is no back entrance, so you cannot walk down an aisle. You enter from the front, so the bridge is your aisle.

We had our wedding this past weekend at The Barn at Valhalla and can't say enough about the beauty of this venue!! The value of getting this venue for the entire weekend was incredible!! They have sleeping for 18 on the second floor so our family was able to enjoy staying there for the weekend (and this is included in price!). Just wonderful - made our day that much more special!!
