Where do I even begin?! From the moment my husband, Brian and I went to visit the Barns (before we were even engaged), we fell in love. We literally opened the car doors and were both overcome with a sense of excitement that this was “the one”. The excitement grew from there. We got to talk with Jessica, who made us want to just hug her, but also made it a conversation and not a sales pitch. We made the decision that day and we booked a date. Being two type A, planners and over thinkers the fact this was such an easy decision is very telling. Our following meetings were with Mary Beth- TALK ABOUT AN AMAZING HUMAN. Continued to make us even more enthusiastic about this journey. She made everything so stress free and easy with the biggest smile through it all. We were lucky enough to work with Allie next, who continued to make the planning process fun and simple (so so simple…)! We had zero stress throughout the entire process and enjoyed every step of the way (we have said how much we miss it already)! The big day came quickly and throughout it all CTWedding group provided endless emails and checkins to make sure we were never ever anything, but happy, prepared and having fun. They wanted to make sure our day was literally THE BEST DAY EVER, and when the day came, Casey Gavin really did. Her with her right hand, Autumn made the day absolutely perfect for us. From start to finish, Casey was there to make the day a dream. The way that she listened to us in conversation and then took those details about who we are and incorporated them into the night not only shows how talented she is, but also what an amazing person she is. I can’t let this review (novel) end without highlighting the food and all of the other staff with CT Wedding group. The servers, the CHEFS and all the people behind the scenes deserve endless awards. Brian and I being HUGE foodies were absolutely over the moon with both the endless food and service behind it. We love CTWEDDINGGROUP!

We cannot say enough good things about CT wedding group. We both have extremely hectic jobs and the CT wedding group made wedding planning a breeze for our wedding at The Barns at Wesleyan hills. It all came together so perfectly. From the day we toured The Barns, we knew that it was our place to get married. It is stunning and the staff makes you feel immediately welcomed. The staff is so wonderful, easy to work with, always available via phone, email, text - whatever we preferred for the day. The entire team is so supportive of you and your visions and they took the time to answer our questions. They go above and beyond to make sure the day is what you have envisioned. All of my decorations were set up perfectly, more perfectly than I could have ever envisioned and at the end of the night, the team packed everything up in our cars for us making it seamless for us to continue our party with our family and friends. The team truly made wedding planning less stressful.We absolutely cannot forget the chefs either. Oh the food, we can’t wait to go back to eat the food again. The food is beyond amazing and the dessert spread is out of this world if you get the best of everything. We continue to get comments on how amazing everything was. The best part was that we got to enjoy the food and desserts. Your day of coordinator makes sure you eat! We trialed all of our appetizers, sat for our meal, and made it out for desserts. It truly was the perfect day and we cannot thank the entire group for all of their hard work in the planning process. We are extremely excited to come back in a couple months as guests!

The Barns was the most beautiful place to have a wedding. It's taken me a little more than a month to write this review because i've truly been struggling to find the words to describe how PERFECT The Barns at Wesleyan Hills is! My fiance and I found this venue about two weeks after we got engaged and it was basically love at first sight. The weeping willows, the rustic feel and most of all the staff was so attentive even at our first tour. A week later I booked it while I was on vacation in Utah because I couldn't let anyone else have the last Saturday available in October 2023. It was the best decision we made throughout our wedding planning process.From the planning process of our check-in's and them reassuring us we're ahead of schedule and to take a deep breathe. To the months leading up and us texting the planners weekly (or daily at times) with the smallest questions and they would respond basically instantly. I don't think any other venue could compare with their communication skills.However, I have to get to the best part. The day before and the day of. Almost every brides nightmare, it was raining. I was persistent in saying I was getting married under those weeping willows and the only other people I needed were my husband and officiant. Shelby (a goddess of a day of coordinator) was on my side and said if anyone had an issue with getting married in the rain, they can come talk to her. Sure enough, we got married in the rain and it was the most romantic wedding. If you get Shelby as your day of coordinator, thank your gaurdian angel because she was one of the major reasons we were stress free on our day. Even throughout our wedding, everything was seamless. As we greeted all of our guests at their tables, Shelby followed us to make sure we didn't spend too long at one table and made sure we had a drink in hand and time to eat. Even though I only ate about half my meal (only couldn't eat the other half because of adrenaline) it was way more than I was expecting to eat. We ended our night with a private last dance. They scooted our guests our of the big barn so quick so we had plenty of time to do our dance and to take in the whole night just us two. AND Shelby took some sneaky pics of us that made me cry the next day because I wish the night never ended.If you are between the barns and any other venue, don't be silly and pick the barns!! it was worth every single penny because of how seamless, easy and perfect our day was. Best day ever.

CT wedding group was phenomenal! They literally took care of everything. They were there to answer all our questions and concerns along the way. The decorations were beautiful and the food was amazing. Lexi and Autumn were so wonderful on the day of. I cannot even express how amazing our day of coordinator Lexi was. She was keeping tabs on us throughout the entire day from getting ready, to walking down the aisle, until clean up at the end. She made sure we got all the photos we wanted, always had a drink in our hand, thanked all the tables, kept on our timeline and made time to eat some food. I honestly don't know how she did it all! She truly helped make our day so special.

Everything about our planning and wedding day was seamless! The staff makes some pretty big promises throughout the planning journey and they absolutely delivered beyond what we ever imagined! It’s definitely an expensive venue but was worth every penny for a wedding day that had literally 0 and I mean 0 hiccups! We primarily worked with Ali for the planning and Nicole was our day of coordinator, both were amazing! Our guests continue to rave about how amazing the food was! 10/10 would recommend!

My husband and I chose The Barns because of the beautiful rustic atmosphere, paired with CT wedding group’s amazing food. However, after having our wedding with The Barns, we have so much more to be thankful for. Our day was phenomenal for both our guests and ourselves. Our decor, paired with the lighting and set up of the space made it magical. Our wedding day coordinator Shelby was absolutely incredible from the start of the night to the finish. She was on top of everything and helped to make everything run smoothly, as well as made us feel so special. She treated us like she had known us for years, which made our experience that much more personal and comfortable. My husband and I can’t thank the entire team enough for helping to make our day the most memorable and beautiful. It was an absolute joy to get married at The Barns. My wife and I knew we wanted to get married at The Barns the moment we visited the venue and stood, facing each other, under the willow trees near the pond. The venue is rustic yet classy. Collaborating with the CT Wedding Group for wedding planning and catering was a HUGE load off of our backs. Our day-of coordinator, Shelby, was attentive to every need we had throughout the night. Her and her team ensured everything kept running behind the scenes. It was a blessing to have not only a team but a DJ (through Powerstation Events) that very clearly knew what they were doing and made sure we were never left wanting.And I know it’s the groom saying this, but this was some of the best food we’ve had at a wedding. I can’t believe that they were able to serve such delicious appetizers and food to our 130 guests over the course of the night. This venue checked all of my boxes and then some. We had a big wedding and this venue was more than accommodating of that. It’s rustic, charming and spacious and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous for pictures. There is a bridal suite and kitchen for use day of if you want to get ready on site. This may be obvious but CT wedding group really knows what they’re doing when it comes to weddings. The food is the best you’ll find anywhere, they have so much available for decor, and all of the staff were incredible and so helpful. Everything is so organized, and they have already thought of everything for you so you don’t have to. All you have to do is pick what you like and plan. We had such a blast at our tasting and loved working with our planners and coordinators throughout the entire process. Our wedding was so much fun and we were actually able to eat and enjoy ourselves without worrying because our coordinators were taking such good care of us! If I could do it all over again, I’d pick CT wedding group every time. I’m so thankful for them making my wedding day perfect.

From the moment we walked into The Barns at Wesleyan Hills, we knew it was meant to be. It was rustic and charming but also classy and luxurious — and it felt exactly “us.” And that was before we even met the incredible staff! Casey and the rest of the Connecticut Wedding Group made sure our day was even more magical than we could’ve hoped for. They were extremely attentive and professional, from start to finish. And oh man, the food! The food, the food, the food! Every single dish was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Our guests are STILL talking about the taco station during cocktail hour. All in all, gorgeous venue, otherworldly food, and great people who take care of the bride and groom every step of the way.

It was rustic and charming but also classy and luxurious — and it felt exactly “us.” And that was before we even met the incredible staff! Casey and the rest of the Connecticut Wedding Group made sure our day was even more magical than we could’ve hoped for. They were extremely attentive and professional, from start to finish. And oh man, the food! The food, the food, the food! Every single dish was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Our guests are STILL talking about the taco station during cocktail hour. All in all, gorgeous venue, otherworldly food, and great people who take care of the bride and groom every step of the way.

Chef Steve Lisitano and the rest of the catering group provided the dining experience of our dreams from the wide array of hors d’oeuvres and stations that were beautifully displayed to a buffet that everyone loved and an unreal “Best of Everything” dessert experience. We could not recommend The Barns enough! From the beginning of the planning process, the staff at CT Wedding Group was there to answer any and all questions quickly and thoroughly. They continuously checked in to ensure that we were on track with the planning process and always made us feel comfortable and confident in our decisions. Our wedding day itself was PERFECTION thanks to our day of coordinator, Lindsay, and the rest of the CT Wedding Group staff. The staff at the Barns was AMAZING! Shelby was our coordinator and she did an awesome job keeping all the reckless groomsmen in line. Super organized and all of the staff was on the same page. The FOOD was some of the best we've ever had! Our guests RAVED about our food selections (we did a buffet style dinner and sundae dessert for dessert). The passed apps were a huge hit as well. Early in the planning process I remember reading great reviews for CWG and thought to myself, “There is no way they are THAT good.” Boy, was I wrong. They really are THAT good and more. We cannot say enough amazing things about The Barns at Wesleyan Hills and the incredible members of the CWG. First and foremost, they make the wedding planning process so smooth. Throughout the first couple months after booking they held almost monthly calls with us to help us understand what tasks needed to be completed when and which vendors they suggested. They helped us take what seemed like an endless list of tasks, and break it down into manageable chunks to stay on top of. It really made the wedding planning process so seamless and stress free. On to the wedding day- we were completely blown away by Shelby and her team. They were absolutely incredible. 100% laser focused on making sure everything is perfect, you are happy and well taken care of, the venue looks amazing, and that everyone in attendance is provided for. We never had to worry about anything knowing that Shelby and her team were on it. All of our guests remarked just how amazing the staff was- the service, the food, the decor, the EVERYTHING. I’ve never been at a wedding where the staff interacts with the guests like CWG does. Our families were blown away. Really, just an incredibly professional and thoughtful group that take what could’ve been a stressful day and just make it so easy for you to focus on enjoying your big day. Lastly, the venue is absolutely beautiful. The rustic big barn, the amazing middle barn space, and outdoor area. It rained on our wedding day and CWG seamlessly moved the ceremony inside - what a blessing in disguise. It was breathtaking!! If you’re looking for a rustic wedding venue with an out of this world staff then the Barns at Wesleyan Hills and the CWG are exactly what you’re looking for. Where do I even start?! The Barns at Wesleyan Hills (and all of CT Wedding Group) made my wedding dreams come true! Their customer service is over the top incredible. From the moment that I inquired about the Barns, until the last second of our wedding night, they were so responsive and helpful. They understood the pressure having a wedding can put on you and did their best to take the burden off of us. The food! I am a vegetarian and have a very specific palate. They worked with me to create a new dish that I wanted to eat on my wedding day. So many people came up to us at our wedding and gushed about the food, citing that they would have no idea it was banquet food that was serving 150+ people. Every dish and appetizer was handcrafted to perfection. The venue itself was gorgeous and set the scene of our romantic and relaxed wedding day. The outdoor ceremony location on the venue’s property was such a nice thing to have, and we transitioned into cocktail hour right after our ceremony. The location of the venue was great too, about 2 hours from Boston (where we live) and 1.5 hours from most of our family that lives in Southern CT or New York. Once the day got going, we undoubtedly knew we were in good hands. Casey, our day of coordinator, expertly handled all of the little details and completely took the stress off of us. We can’t recommend this venue and company enough, they are certainly amazing at what they do and make you feel like you are their only client. I wish I could rewind and celebrate with them again!

I honestly cannot say enough good things about The Barns. One of the reason we chose The Barns was because of hands on and involved they were are for the wedding planning process. Every single employee that we had a conversation with while planning our wedding was friendly, professional, personable, understanding, helpful and knew exactly what they were talking about. They are in your corner from day 1 and truly are there to support you and being your visions to life. While the staff are just amazing, the venue is absolutely stunning- elegant and gorgeous. However the food is out of this world. Every person I talked to after the wedding raved about the food and said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. My husband and I are currently trying to convince everyone we know to get married there so we can eat their food again! I mean truly, if they had a restaurant we would be there all the time. The Barns at Wesleyan Hills is beautiful! We loved the rustic look of the venue and that there were multiple indoor spaces we could use. We also had our ceremony at the venue inside and it was gorgeous! The entire CT Wedding Group is incredible. The planning team was very helpful throughout the planning process - timely responses to questions, helpful suggestions, and they really helped us make our wedding personalized. Our day of coordinator was fantastic! She had a file with all of our emails and all of the details we had previously gone over to make sure everything went smoothly and she also made sure my husband and I had everything we needed (food, drinks, water) and checked in with us throughout the night on timing and about what was happening next. The serving staff was absolutely amazing! Our guests felt so taken care of throughout our wedding which meant the world to us. A staff member noticed that a few of our guests wanted ice cream after it was put away and they brought out ice cream for those guests.Let's not forget about the food! In addition to raving about the staff, our guests said that this was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The culinary team clearly knows what they are doing and puts a lot of thought into all of the food served from the cheese tower, passed hors d'oeuvres, salad, entrees, and desserts, and any of the additional stations you can add on!The Barns and the CT Wedding Group were instrumental in making our dream wedding a reality! Highly recommend the venue and the team!

We SO appreciated the support they gave for the year leading up to the wedding- they literally walk you through every single detail, every step of the way. They were also so incredibly responsive! Now as for the actual wedding day- INCREDIBLE! Nicole was our day of coordinator and she was THE ABSOLUTE BEST! We literally did not have a care in the world because we knew we were covered!! We chose to get married at the Barns as soon as we walked through the front doors. The incredible scenery, the comfort vibes, the delicious food, and the absolute best staff we’ve ever met. They guided us through the entire planning process, were fully hands on and catered to us. With Shelby as your day of coordinator you cannot go wrong. The entire back of my dress broke moments after we walked down the aisle, and she fixed it in two seconds. She kept me calm during all the anxiety, and handled things I never even got wind of. She even gives the warmest hugs like Olaf. She felt like a best friend. I cannot share enough about how smoothly and perfectly this day went. Pro tip: USE THEIR RECOMMENDED VENDORS. I cannot rave enough about All Dolled Up and Grace & Gold studio. They are so talented and really created such a loving environment. Each photo captures the pure love from that day. The Barns, The Barns, THE BARNS! What an incredible place! Our wedding day was a dream, an act of magic, and a blast all rolled into one! We knew from the moment we stepped through the door the first time that this would be the place we would want to see in our photos and think about when reliving our wedding day years from now. It had the perfect balance of wedding venue and \"feels like home\" that we were going for, and the entire team at CT Wedding Group made us feel like home throughout the process. From start to finish they helped to bring our dream to life and made it feel like easy work along the way! Our day of coordinator Lexi, my sister from another mister, was the absolute best! She made us feel at ease before the wedding and having her guide us through our day made the whole thing feel effortless and flawless! We did not have to lift a finger on our wedding day. The only job we had was to be in the present moment and soak up every second! What more could we have asked for? It was amazing! We weren't the only ones that had a wonderful time though. One of our friends summed it up perfectly when they told us, \"You two need to get married more often! That was awesome!\" All of our family and friends enjoyed the atmosphere, food, dancing, service, and overall care taken by The Barns staff. No detail was left untouched and it really made the difference. Honestly, we wish we could get married over and over again! The staff were responsive to all of my questions and helped make adjustments with our busy schedules. And then the weekend came and it was seamless. Jenna was unbelievably helpful, kind, and made the whole day go smoothly. I have been hearing non-stop rave reviews from all of our friends about the food and the ambience. And guess what, they focused on making sure my husband and I had a good time and ate too (yep, they are that good). It was a perfect day.

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at The Barns, and I can’t even begin to express how amazing our night was. From the day we booked, the wedding team was on top of their game. The wedding planning process spanned over a year and a half, and I never once felt as though I was behind or forgetting something. A coordinator was constantly checking in and making sure I was on track WITHOUT MAKING ME FEEL PRESSURED which is absolutely huge for me. My husband and I ended up having a small wedding after we booked at The Barns, requiring us to eliminate the ceremony portion we had previously planned for. The Barns was so accommodating with this request which was such a relief to me as I was terrified, they would give me a hard time for making such a change. I actually delayed telling them because I was so worried, they would be upset but it was truly not a big deal at all. The day before our wedding we met with Shelby who would be our day of coordinator and I truly had no worries that everything would go smoothly. Shelby assured us the night before if my husband, myself or anyone for that matter needed anything that all we had to do was ask. She also assured us that she would make sure we had drinks, we were fed, and mostly that we had a great time and she 120% delivered. Now to wedding day – we arrived and the little barn (bridal suite) was set up with snacks and beverages, our own bathrooms and a fridge full of waters. Throughout the night we did not have to think about anything but having a great time. Our guests told us it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to ESPECIALLY because of the food. The Barns was extremely accommodating with the food and the chef incorporated my husband’s Korean heritage into the menu in more ways than one which was truly a special touch for us. Our guests loved our non-traditional warm chocolate chip cookie bar and warm pretzels for a late-night snack. Our wedding night Is something I want to re-do repeatedly because it was truly perfection thanks to the staff at The Barns.

We can’t say enough about what an incredible venue The Barns is! From the start, they made the wedding planning process incredibly easy with a team of very knowledgeable and helpful wedding planners. The venue itself is stunning! It was so easy to have my Pinterest board come to life. We all have had our share of bad wedding food, but let me tell you, the food at The Barns is incredible! Hands down the best food we’ve ever had at a wedding venue. And the mac and cheese bar we added on to our cocktail hour was the best!! Our guests are still talking about how good the food was and how friendly the staff were. We got married October 1st and knew the weather might be tricky, and it ended up raining in the morning. The team kept and eye on the weather all morning and as the ceremony time approached suggested an ideal spot where we could have our ceremony still outside and keep our guests dry and happy! We also had Cate, the best onsite wedding coordinator ever. She kept us on schedule, relaxed, happy and fed! If you love the rustic romantic look, you must book The Barns!Thank you SO much!

My husband Brian and I are still over the moon with how amazing our wedding was this December at the Barns!From the first meeting we had over a year ago, to the day of, Lexi and the staff were nothing but great! They were so helpful throughout the whole planning process. Responses were timely, suggestions were realistic and helpful, and accommodations were made. Everyone warns you how challenging planning a wedding can be… but honestly having the CT Wedding Group from day one made this process nothing but fun for Brian and I! We felt overwhelmed with the constant support we had from the group and the staff at the Barns.Lexi and the rest of the staff made our day so smooth and just the most magical day ever. We had expectations of how we wanted the day to go, and those expectations were beyond exceeded. Lexi was constantly rounding on us and our families to ensure all of our needs were met. The staff made all of our guests feel welcomed and taken care of. There is absolutely nothing that we felt was missing or done incorrectly. There is nothing more we could have asked for. My husband Brian and I are still over the moon with how amazing our wedding was this December at the Barns!From the first meeting we had over a year ago, to the day of, Lexi and the staff were nothing but great! They were so helpful throughout the whole planning process. Responses were timely, suggestions were realistic and helpful, and accommodations were made. Everyone warns you how challenging planning a wedding can be… but honestly having the CT Wedding Group from day one made this process nothing but fun for Brian and I! We felt overwhelmed with the constant support we had from the group and the staff at the Barns.Lexi and the rest of the staff made our day so smooth and just the most magical day ever. We had expectations of how we wanted the day to go, and those expectations were beyond exceeded. Lexi was constantly rounding on us and our families to ensure all of our needs were met. The staff made all of our guests feel welcomed and taken care of. There is absolutely nothing that we felt was missing or done incorrectly. There is nothing more we could have asked for. Brian and I are so thankful for choosing to get married at the Barns, and are beyond thankful for all of the love and support Lexi and the whole CT Wedding Group gave us from day one!

Our vision was captured to perfection and EVERYONE that was involved in our wedding day went above and beyond to make the day simply amazing. Shelby is truly the BEST of the best and our families are STILL talking about how kind, supportive, and generally amazing she was on our wedding day. She made sure that we were able to have all of our food, kept drinks in our hands, and made sure that everything was packed up at the end of the night. Lexi was also amazing in helping with our rehearsal and helping me get down the aisle! The food is also so delicious that I hope someone I know gets married here so that I can have it again! (A special shout out to our rigatoni bolognese station that was to die for.) We are so eternally grateful for our experience with The Barns and CT Wedding Group. First things first, the Barns at Wesleyan Hills venue is absolutely stunning. Photos do not do it justice. The team at CT Wedding Group is amazing to work with and we highly recommend trusting their process but also to ask questions along the way. As a gay couple, we found we were always trying to balance traditional wedding processes, but also create our own vibe. We value tradition, which is why it mattered and as a gay couple, we often find ourselves wanting to feel like everyone else but also stand out as individuals. Everyone was incredibly supportive in working with us and met with us to walk through what we were thinking and we love the outcome. Specifically, my partner and I wanted to walk down to the aisle simultaneously from two different directions meeting at the top of the aisle and processing down together as equals. Allie met with us to talk through, time, and practice this idea and the outcome was an absolute dream. We cannot say enough positive things about CT Wedding Group, but also Allie is amazing. It's not lost on us that these people do this work every week, this is what they do, but when you're working with them, they have a way to make you feel special and that your wedding isn't just another wedding. We never at any moment felt like I was just any wedding to them. On the day of the wedding, Allie was our day-of coordinator and just made sure everything went smoothly. Allie was great at keeping us on task and helping us make sure we accomplished everything we set out to do and we were never without a drink, never hungry, never thinking oh we wish we did x. When we think about our wedding, we feel full for two reasons. One, we did not feel like we missed any moments we wanted to experience. We chatted with everyone, we ate, we drank, and we danced the night away (well until 9pm when it all ended). Also, the food is absolutely amazing and we ate everything. Not only did we get to enjoy cocktail hour and the food there because we did a first look, but they set up a little space before introductions to enjoy a cocktail and all of the passed hors d'oeuvres. We were also very concerned about dietary restrictions as we had a handful of guests with very significant allergies and the personal touches they provide when working with guests is outstanding. We never had to worry and when we checked in on guests, they were very happy with their experience. The whole experience was simply fantastic. In summary, the Barns are gorgeous, the CT Wedding group team is beyond amazing, and the food is superb.

The planning staff are so organized and professional throughout the whole process and we seriously didn’t have to worry about a single thing the day of the wedding. Everything went as smooth as possible! Our guests are still raving about the food, signature drinks, and donuts. A lot of our guests said it was one of the best wedding meals they’ve ever had! I couldn't say enough about how amazing our experience was with the Barn at Wesleyan Hills. The staff, the venue and all of the vendors were excellent. Our wedding day was beautiful, the food was amazing and we had a great time. Our day of wedding coordinator, Lexi, was amazing! We met with her the night before the wedding and described our vision of how we wanted the day to go and she recreated it exactly. She was so sweet and she even knew how to bustle my dress which was very helpful. Living out of state, having a wedding planning team was extremely helpful. The CT wedding group allowed us to change our food tasting due to a crazy winter storm and we were able to still participate in the group food tasting. We had the time of our lives at our wedding. I wish I could do it again and again! All of the guests had so many great things to say about the venue, the food, the staff and vendors. Everything was beautiful! I can't wait to see more pictures soon! Thank you to the Barns at Wesleyan Hills!

The venue alone is absolutely gorgeous inside and outside, especially the willow trees on the grounds. Wedding planning can be an incredibly stressful time, but CT Wedding Group’s planning team made the entire wedding planning process as simple and stress-free as possible. Samantha kept us on track and made sure all our questions were answered. Nicole and Lexi made last minute details a breeze! Each member of the team we encountered were always very professional, responsive, and proactive during our planning. On our wedding day our day of coordinators, Nicole and Lexi, were absolutely amazing! They were a key detail in what made our day so much more wonderful the key to our amazing. Both ladies made sure everything went smooth and that we had plenty of drinks and food! They allowed us to enjoy our wedding without feeling stressed or that it was going too quickly. Because of them, we were able to take it all in and be present with our guests! Have no doubt that this team will make sure you get to eat on your wedding day, something that was incredibly important to my husband and I because the food is absolutely amazing! Our guests arestill raving about the delicious hot devours, pasta and dinner were!The hanging lights and bistro wall made our reception feel simplymagical. The absolute best choice I made for my wedding was to have it at The Barns. Not only did it take all the usual stress of planning a wedding out of the equation for me, it is the most gorgeous location, inside & out, and I haven't even mentioned the food yet! I can't stress this enough: if you want a team of planners, the best food possible, and the most beautiful wedding, this is where you need to have it. If I could give a million stars, I would. Accommodating, helpful, efficient. If only I could host a yearly wedding celebration, this is where I would have it.

One of the best parts of the venue and our wedding day was our day of coordinator, Shelby. She made the day go off without a hitch. On the day of, everything was smooth and on time (which was important to us). There was never any guessing where we/the wedding party should be in terms of entrances, right after cocktail hour, etc. She and her team (Autumn and the whole staff) also carried out my vision for the big and middle barns so perfectly. They just got it. I just can’t express enough how amazing the CT Wedding Group has been and how much I still can’t believe that our wedding was so perfect. 1000/10 recommend going with the CT Wedding Group. There was never any guessing where we/the wedding party should be in terms of entrances, right after cocktail hour, etc. She and her team (Autumn and the whole staff) also carried out my vision for the big and middle barns so perfectly. They just got it. I just can’t express enough how amazing the CT Wedding Group has been and how much I still can’t believe that our wedding was so perfect. 1000/10 recommend going with the CT Wedding Group. It’s worth every cent and then some. Thank you again to the amazing team that my husband and I worked with throughout the year… especially Shelby, Allie, Samantha and Autumn. You are amazing!

The Barns at Wesleyan Hills and the experience of working with the staff of the Connecticut Wedding Group was unbelievable! My day-of coordinator was Cate and she anticipated all of our needs before we even knew we had them. The venue is gorgeous, but the staff are true professionals and want your wedding day to be exactly what you've always imagined. It felt like such a weight off of our shoulders knowing that they knew what they were doing and wouldn't let us forget anything important. Our wedding day was just amazing, but like any wedding little things happen that are out of your control. My florist was supposed to bring flowers for my arch and forgot. I noticed this maybe an hour before the ceremony started and mentioned it to Cate to see if the florist had said anything about it. All Cate did was ask for the florist's number and what color flowers they were supposed to be. When it came time for the ceremony, not only were there white and orange flowers on the arch like I had imagined, but there were orange rose petals all down the aisle. After the ceremony, I asked Cate if her team had ran out to get the flowers, because I had a sneaking suspicion, and she reluctantly admitted that they did. I guess when she called our florist, they said that they weren't coming back to the venue to bring the arch flowers, so Cate and her team went above and beyond to do that for us without saying a word. There were so many other little things that they did for us that made the day smooth and enjoyable, I couldn't possibly mention them all. I will say, having Cate bring my husband and I into the bridal suite after pictures and handing us drinks and a platter of all of our cocktail hour food was something we were so grateful for. She encouraged us to take 10 minutes together to eat and take it all in for a bit, and we really cherished that time to be present with one another before the craziness of everyone pulling us in every direction at our reception. We can't thank the staff enough and to say that we were impressed is an understatement. They know exactly what needs to happen to make a wedding day flow and be enjoyed by all!! I just wish I could re-live that day a few more times :)

The Barns made for the PERFECT wedding! I feel like I could right a short novel about our time planning with the Barns, so I'll really try to just highlight the best parts. From the first tour until leaving our wedding night, the Barns just know what they're doing! They think about things you won't even think about. They stagger planning emails throughout the months leading up to your wedding, planning linens, design, food, ceremony, etc. This way, it's not overwhelming all at once, and they're with you every step of the way.The \"tasting\" is a whole date night! You mingle with couples getting married during your season, share stressors, meet chefs, servers, and planners, and get to try all the bells and whistles for your day.The barns themself are MAGICAL. If you're looking for a rustic venue to showcase its natural beauty, or glam up the place-this is it!!! The outside fields ended up being too wet from the rain, so we had to move our ceremony inside. However, THIS WAS SUCH A BLESSING IN DISGUISE! The added bistro wall with flowers and the circle arch made for a backdrop like no other!!I HAVE to mention their exceptional communication & service. The waitstaff is by far trained by god, I'm sure of it. So many guests commented on how fast dinner disbursement was and how table side help was always present.ALL of the staff made such a positive impact on us. Like literally everyone. I can go on and on. Day of coordinators were Jenna & Autumn and they were such a power couple! No complaints at all with them. Everyone kept saying this was the best wedding ever.We even dragged some of the wait staff onto the dance floor at the end of the night to show that they had become so much more than \"staff\" to us. I have to mention the $$$$, right? That's what everyone wants to know. All I'll say about that is we have no regrets. You get one day to make it about you and your honey. And we truly did throw the party of our lives. We planned 1 & 1/2 years out and budgeted and made it work!We love the Barns!!!!!!!

From the moment we first toured The Barns it was clear that was where my husband and I wanted to get married. The venue is absolutely beautiful inside and outside on the grounds. Wedding planning can be incredibly stressful, but the entire team at the CT Wedding Group made the entire wedding planning process a breeze. Mary Beth and Samantha kept us on track and made sure all our questions were answered. They were always very professional, proactive, and responsive during the planning process. On wedding day our day of coordinator, Shelby, was absolutely the key to our amazing wedding day. My parents and in-laws noted how great she was and how happy they were to have her that day. She made sure everything ran smoothly and most importantly that we had plenty to eat and drink. Have no doubt that this team will make sure you get to eat on your wedding day. Over month later and my guests are still raving about the delicious food. The hanging lights made both our ceremony and reception feel so magical. They were a great backdrop for photos. I so appreciated the team boxing up and loading all our decorations and gifts at the end of the night while my husband and I enjoyed dancing with our guests. It was such a relief not to have to clean up at the end of the night. You will not regret booking your wedding at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills one bit!

We cannot say enough amazing things about the Barns. We selected the Barns after searching for a venue that checked off all of our boxes. Good food, breathtaking grounds, accommodating, and organized!! From the beginning, everyone was extremely helpful and answered every question we had. They helped guide us through the entire process. Every important decision that needed to be made was made with help from the incredible team. Between meetings and emails, the wedding planning team made sure no small detail went unplanned. They helped keep us organized and on track with tons of check ins and helped us create to-do lists. We truly did not have to worry about a thing throughout the entire process. You have so many choices and are truly not limited getting married at the Barns.. the sky is the limit. Fast forward to our special day 5-13-22. Cate was assigned to us as our day of coordinator. Cate was cool, calm, and collected at all times. Her calm demeanor made everyone feel relaxed and we were able to just have FUN. She made sure we always had a fresh drink, we got to eat, and mostly have fun!!! Cate helped the bride, groom, wedding party, and family feel so comfortable and ready to enjoy the special day. The staff working at our wedding were all so kind and wonderful. Our day was truly beyond our expectations. We enjoyed every single second of our wedding. We did not get married at The Barns, but we did work with CTWedding group as our caterer and planners at a different venue for our wedding in April 2021. We have also attended a friend's wedding at The Barns. CT Wedding group is a phenomenal group that delivers consistently amazing weddings. We worked with Cate on our wedding day and she was amazing and so fun! The food was so fantastic at our tasting, and sometimes you wonder if it will be that good on the actual day. Well, let me tell you, CTWedding group has the best food I have every tasted at any catered event (I dream about it)! Friends and family messaged us raving about the food, from the cocktail hour hor d'oeuvres which were clever, cute, and scrumptious, the penne primavera (chef's kiss), to dinner of filet mignon and salmon and this roasted chicken that was to die for. I have a friend who is a cook and a foodie, who said he had never been at a wedding where he wished he had more than one stomach so that he could keep eating! Because of the pandemic a lot of our guests were unable to come. Since our guest list was so much less than we contracted for, CTWedding group generously added in a few dessert items including the donut wall and blazing donuts (holy cow, choose this!) and pretzels to go! CTWedding group ran our event so seamlessly from start to finish (there was 0 stress day of) and I cannot recommend them enough. We also attended a wedding at The Barns soon after our wedding and it was just as lovely, with incredible swoon-worthy food, and seamlessly organized.

Hiring the Barns was truly one of the BEST decisions we made in our wedding planning process!! Not just because of the gorgeous barn or the amazing seasonal catering menu (SERIOUSLY THOUGH), but because of the wedding planning services that come with it and the HELP and support they offer! My husband and I were very budget focused and worried about the Barns being a financial reach. However, when we met with their team, the first thing they did was help us build a budget that fit our needs without compromising our vision. They made our priorities THEIR priority, and always checked in about whether a decision felt okay for our budget and needs. We worked with the team for a bit under a year, and we thanked the universe for Jessica, Mary Beth, Samantha, Allie, and co. on at least a weekly basis (and multiple times a day during the last 2 months!!). They put us in touch with vendors who were within our budget. They gave us pragmatic advice (“don’t bother with ___;” “focus on getting ___;”), helped us problem-solve issues big and small, and supported us through multiple contingency plans as COVID got trickier and trickier during the winter. This group has been pulling off weddings for a million years so, when we had a worry, their confidence, calming nature, and their sound recommendations helped us move forward. They’ve done it all, seen it all, and heard it all, and you get to benefit from their wisdom as you’re planning your own wedding! Their wisdom alone was worth every penny; however, what was the most critical element of their amazingness was their drive to make OUR vision THEIR goal. My husband and I had a bit of a “complicated order” re: wedding planning. We are a bicultural couple and wanted to make our wedding a bicultural celebration of our new nuclear family… and boy, were they EXCITED about helping us do this! They asked us about Venezuelan and American customs, important people in our families who needed special attention (my abuela!), traditional foods, and everything in between. They thought about absolutely EVERYTHING and were sensitive to our priorities the entire time.By the time our wedding week came around, our mental health was pretty much (safely) in their hands. The Planning Team was responsive and encouraging and comforting and REMINDING us about the amazingness that was about to happen. They helped us keep our “eye on the ball,” so to speak. They took care of ALL the coordination with food (again, omg THE FOOD), the entertainment, the speeches, service, and even drop-off and pickup of our personal touches. Shelby, who is quite possibly the best day-of coordinator that ever lived, made sure our day went without a hitch and that every corner of our 6 hours with them was filled with laughter, joy, and moving along an unspoken timeline! Hiring the Barns was truly one of the BEST decisions we made in our wedding planning process!! Not just because of the gorgeous barn or the amazing seasonal catering menu (SERIOUSLY THOUGH), but because of the wedding planning services that come with it and the HELP and support they offer! My husband and I were very budget focused and worried about the Barns being a financial reach. However, when we met with their team, the first thing they did was help us build a budget that fit our needs without compromising our vision. They made our priorities THEIR priority, and always checked in about whether a decision felt okay for our budget and needs. We worked with the team for a bit under a year, and we thanked the universe for Jessica, Mary Beth, Samantha, Allie, and co. on at least a weekly basis (and multiple times a day during the last 2 months!!). They put us in touch with vendors who were within our budget. They gave us pragmatic advice (“don’t bother with ___;” “focus on getting ___;”), helped us problem-solve issues big and small, and supported us through multiple contingency plans as COVID got trickier and trickier during the winter. This group has been pulling off weddings for a million years so, when we had a worry, their confidence, calming nature, and their sound recommendations helped us move forward. They’ve done it all, seen it all, and heard it all, and you get to benefit from their wisdom as you’re planning your own wedding! Their wisdom alone was worth every penny; however, what was the most critical element of their amazingness was their drive to make OUR vision THEIR goal. My husband and I had a bit of a “complicated order” re: wedding planning. We are a bicultural couple and wanted to make our wedding a bicultural celebration of our new nuclear family… and boy, were they EXCITED about helping us do this! They asked us about Venezuelan and American customs, important people in our families who needed special attention (my abuela!), traditional foods, and everything in between. They thought about absolutely EVERYTHING and were sensitive to our priorities the entire time.By the time our wedding week came around, our mental health was pretty much (safely) in their hands. The Planning Team was responsive and encouraging and comforting and REMINDING us about the amazingness that was about to happen. They helped us keep our “eye on the ball,” so to speak. They took care of ALL the coordination with food (again, omg THE FOOD), the entertainment, the speeches, service, and even drop-off and pickup of our personal touches. Shelby, who is quite possibly the best day-of coordinator that ever lived, made sure our day went without a hitch and that every corner of our 6 hours with them was filled with laughter, joy, and moving along an unspoken timeline! She was the breath of fresh air we needed to get back on track. She was so attentive with our needs and questions. We left the first meeting feeling refreshed and excited for our wedding!At the winter menu tasting event they held at The Pavilion at Crystal Lake, we were introduced to several other teammates who were equally, if not more excited to work with us. It was an indescribable feeling my wife and I shared… As if our own best friends were planning our wedding themselves! We were excited to try the food and cocktails knowing the on-site Executive Chef curates these seasonal menus, tweaking things here and there to keep it fresh and exciting. This was something I personally appreciated because it gave us a lot of options to work with. He was happy to work with us to include some appetizers from my wife’s Venezuelan culture. This was one of our biggest selling points to stay with them; the ability to work with us on every step allowing us to weave in our cultures into a beautiful celebration. We wanted our day to be special in every way possible and they always took the time to listen whenever we needed something.On our wedding day, Shelby was our coordinator for the day. She’s out-of-this-world amazing! During the entire reception, she made sure my wife and I were fed well and had drinks the entire time. One of my favorite moments was when my wife and I were outside by the pond taking picture with our photographer we see Shelby coming over with a tray of cocktails for us! Shelby was on top of everything; always checked in with us during the night to ensure food was sent out as needed and we had enough time to dance. While Shelby’s company and staff along with the food and drinks was great as they were, we had one more factor that took it over the top… Confetti cannons! You must get the confetti cannons!I know there’s so much I’m missing and people I’m forgetting to mention, but I know I could easily write a novel about this team (I must stop somewhere!) My wife and I are incredibly grateful to The CT Wedding Group for their exceptional skills and effort they put forth into our Venezuelan-American wedding! To this day, a month plus after our wedding, our guests STILL rave about the food and décor! It’s no surprised the number of awards and praises you receive for the outstanding work you’ve done over the years, including ours. Not only did they express zero remorse for our situation, they were unwilling to assist us in any way possible. This place was unwilling to provide any partial or full refund despite our countless attempts at finding an alternative solution. The entire time we chose this location for our special day they continued to manipulate conversation and the prices kept going up. Pay close attention to the price of this location and how they will continue charging you for every little thing you want to add. I HIGHLY recommend anyone looking to get married or celebrate their special day find another location. Please read this post and take into consideration when planning your special day. This is not how business is done and considering everything the world has gone through over the past two years this business should be ashamed.Jonathon, their COO is rude, inconsiderate, and disrespectful. If I could give The Barns At Wesleyan Hills more than 5 stars I would! From the moment we toured the location we knew we wanted to celebrate our wedding there. We first met with Jessica who showed us around the venue, answered all of our questions and made us feel welcomed and excited! Through out the planning process I had the pleasure of working with Mary-Beth, Jenna and a few other wonderful women who helped us navigate our COVID date change with ease, and always made us feel like we were the only couple they were working with, even though there were plenty more. The team helped bring our wedding to life, and the results exceeded all expectations. I simply shared examples of my vision and they utilized their creativity and worked with our vendors to bring that vision to life. If anything went wrong day of - I had no idea about it! The venue and grounds are both charming and beautiful. We turned the bridal suite into a lounge, so our guests had three rooms to move freely throughout and mingle. The main barn and dance floor is small, and it's definitely a more intimate venue, but if that is what you are looking for, this is your spot. We had about 170 guests and I wouldn't personally recommend any more. It felt like the perfect amount for that space. All in all, my guests were blown away by the venue. The grounds are picturesque making for the perfect back drop for your wedding photos, and the food and drinks are to die for. I have never had such delicious food at a wedding venue. Our guests talk about the food to this day! From the savory appetizers, to beautifully plated dinners and decadent desserts I was so pleased with every thing I ate. If I had to do it all over again, I'd still choose The Barns!

Our previous venue was not helpful with this setback and just when we were about to give up on our wedding all together, we found The Barns! They were so helpful with moving all our vendors over and communicating with them. The coordinators were very friendly and Cate was our day of coordinator and she was absolutely perfect! This venue made all the hard work to get to our day worth it. We loved everything about the day and we are still hearing from guests how much of a wonderful time they had. Worth every penny!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this venue. Our wedding was pushed back multiple times due to Covid19 and we had to postpone multiple times. Our previous venue was not helpful with this setback and just when we were about to give up on our wedding all together, we found The Barns! They were so helpful with moving all our vendors over and communicating with them. The coordinators were very friendly and Cate was our day of coordinator and she was absolutely perfect! This venue made all the hard work to get to our day worth it. We loved everything about the day and we are still hearing from guests how much of a wonderful time they had. Worth every penny!

We recently got married 7/30 at the Barns and I do not have enough words to describe how amazing the venue and staff is there. Despite our original wedding getting postponed a year due to the pandemic, it was the best thing that could have happened. Our venue changed and it turns out The Barns was just the place we belonged the whole time. Sam, Marybeth and Allie made the planning process so seamless and loved all the crazy ideas my husband had. The night of the wedding, Jenna, Kelly, Cathy and their staff were TOP notch. They are all true professionals in the wedding business game. We always had a drink in our hand, we were directed to where we needed to be and when, they made sure every detail and plan was executed just as we wanted it to be, and Jenna and Kelly never gave up when it came to bustling my dress all night. Our guests also can’t stop raving about the food and top notch bar.We truthfully had our dream wedding and despite all the madness and craziness it took to get to this day, we wouldn’t have wanted it anywhere else. Farm to table, fresh, delicious, absolutely mouth-watering. There’s passed hors’ d’oeuvres, cocktail hour stations, and a harvest table - and that’s all BEFORE dinner! The dinner options are out of this world. You will also have your choice of dessert and late night snacks - worth every bite. - The Drinks: Top shelf, cocktails made with fresh berries from Lyman Orchards, a variety of beverages for all guests of all ages. As the bride and groom, they will make sure you have a drink in your hands at all time if you so choose.- The Team: Again, speechless. This team works harder than anyone. They go above and beyond from the day you tour all the way through your wedding day. Our day-of-coordinator was Lindsay Shea and I absolutely ADORE her. In every single way they overdelivered, and our wedding day was better than I could have imagined, despite having planned every bit of it! The Barns made sure our wedding day experience was exquisite by providing our guests with the most incredible food, fabulous drinks, gorgeous decor, and an impeccable flow. I was so impressed with the time, care, and quality of every single thing the Barns does. Everyone who works there takes tremendous pride in what they do, and it shows! Leading up to the big day, any question or concern I had was immediately addressed, often with a personal phone call. On the day of, our wedding coordinator took incredible care of us, and we also noticed how genuinely kind and happy every server and bartender seemed. It was a one-of-a-kind night, and while I may be a bit biased... I have never attended a more gorgeous wedding. Thank you!!

I do not have enough words to describe how amazing our wedding was at The Barns! I am not a planner, so I put my entire trust in the team from the very beginning, and I am so happy I did. I was provided with a detailed timeline the very day we went to look at the venue, and the communication was unbelievable the minute we booked with them. Any little question or concern that popped into my head, I could easily e-mail them and received a response the very same day if not the next. My husband & I were hit with the anxiety of possibly postponing during the second wave of COVID, and I was burnt out as it is being a nurse during it all. MaryBeth was an absolute angel in encouraging me, being truthful and being patient with my forever changing moods. That is what they become, friends, and that is SO important when navigating through planning the biggest day of your life. My guests STILL are raving over our wedding, especially the food. IT IS THE BEST OF THE BEST! Not your traditional wedding hall food, but farm-to-table, carefully crafted and absolutely delicious cocktail hour choices & entrees. It's also the most unique venue we visited in the state, and provide plenty of add-ons to really create a one-of-a-kind experience. I went with the hanging gardens and they were absolutely breathtaking. Our wedding happened to fall on the rainiest, coldest day of the summer, but it did not feel like that at all because of how immaculate everything was set up. And the entire day ran so smoothly. I always had a drink in my hand, and food! Shelby, my coordinator for the day, was absolutely amazing. She kept everything in order and was encouraging me and reminding me how beautiful I looked.
