The Bedford Columns, owned and operated by Entwined Events, is an all-inclusive venue that drew us in with a reasonable rental rate. Their package also included numerous accommodations and services that most have to get specific, separate vendors for. They provided not only the space, but the furniture, décor, set up and break down, clean up, staff, and a place to stay the night before and night of the wedding (upstairs there were five bedrooms with their own shower/bathroom). They also included the food, cake, florals, a wedding planner, DJ and sound system, bar and bartender. The only caveat is that if they provide the vendor, you have to use them. For instance, if we knew a baker for the cake, we couldn’t have had them make it for us, we had to use their baker for the cake. However, since I wanted to have a wooden bouquet, I was able to buy that separately and use their vendor for the rest of the florals. \r\rWe toured The Bedford Columns with Mark in the summer of 2022 with an aim to get married in the fall of 2023. Mark was very friendly as he showed us around all of the spaces and answered all of our questions. We set our date for Oct. 13th, 2023. They let us know that they don’t start planning until a year out from the wedding, which we understood, but when they didn’t contact us by the end of October 2022, I emailed them myself. Our first wedding planner, Savannah, reached out to us and we set our first of three, two-hour wedding planning sessions (six hours total). The first meeting was a whirlwind as she asked us a series of so many questions dealing with our wedding. We discussed everything from our florals to table napkins, to our vendors, to our memorial table. They truly do think of everything! I did feel pressured at times to get more décor or pick the more expensive package, because as I mentioned, we had to use all of their vendors and everything was an extra charge. Even a votive on each table was like $4 a table! Our second meeting was set to be our tasting and another planning meeting.\r\rWe emailed Savannah a few times between meetings and she was pretty responsive, for the most part, but it was approaching the end of March 2022 and no one had contacted us about the tasting. We finally emailed Entwined Events planning email where we were informed Savannah was let go a while ago and we were supposed to be contacted about new wedding planners. This came as a surprise to us and we were a bit hurt that no one took the time to inform us. Our new wedding planner was another Savanna, but she was completely different from our original planner. She was incredibly responsive to emails, texts, and phone calls, and when we met her first time at the second wedding planning meeting, we felt much more comfortable with her. She was very bubbly and energetic, and tried to accommodate every request! Our tasting was done at another Entwined Event venue/estate and it was set up in a very romantic style. We enjoyed our tasting and were able to pick our dinner and cake easily! Our third and final meeting was set approximately two months before the big day.\r\rThe third meeting we met with Savanna again and finalized all of our details. We were able to get our timeline set and all vendors were ready to go! The countdown truly began. We had a rehearsal the day before our wedding and the day of our wedding, Savanna coordinated and facilitated everything. She was there to reassure all of our décor would be placed in the right spot and answer all of our last-minute questions. Our wedding was DJ’d by Armand, who followed our requests to the letter. Everything seemed to go off without a hitch; my spouse and I were very pleased and had a wonderfully magical time.\r\rOverall, we would have to give The Bedford Columns and everyone involved four out of five stars. We do wish there was more communication regarding the issue with our first wedding planner and other issues we experienced throughout the planning process. For instance, we had to ask for clarification on the difference between “cedar greenery” and “mixed greenery” on several occasions. And we were waiting to hear about burgundy napkins, only to be told days before the wedding that they came in too red and will not be used. We also wish there was more included in the pricing for décor. Literally everything was an upcharge and it added up very quickly. The bedrooms that we purchased to stay in the night before and night of our wedding came with a host of challenges as well. For instance, one of the doors would not open once it was shut and a locksmith had to come out to unlock it and completely change the door handle itself. And the water pressure was not great, especially if more than one person was trying to shower at the same time. However, looking back on our day, we wouldn’t have changed a thing and were very pleased with how things turned out.

My husband and I got married at The Bedford Columns on July 7, 2018. It was literally the best day of our entire lives. Anna, was our planner who was provided through Entwined Events. She was amazing! She was what we called our “quiet force.” She was as sweet as can be, but she makes sure the job gets done and is done to perfection. And when I say to perfection, I mean perfection! Every single detail that we discussed with Anna, even the little things were not unnoticed. She made sure our day went beautifully. When I walked into our ceremony and reception space before the day began, I was absolutely speechless at how beautiful everything looked. Now, the staff provided by Entwined Events was also amazing! We had a great DJ who kept the party going, a great bartender (who was even so sweet to hand me a glass of water before I was about to walk down the aisle- pre-wedding jitters!), an amazing chef that prepared a wonderful meal for all of our guests (which everyone loved), a floral team that prepared the most beautiful centerpieces I could have ever imagined, and a wait staff that surpassed any other! Not only did we feel like royalty that day, but our guests did as well. Any time we needed something during the day Anna or another staff member were there to take care of us and help us with all of our needs. Even our guests, if they needed something a staff member was there to assist. We even had a gluten-free guest and the chef offered to prepare a separate meal for that guest. If something went wrong on the day of, I still to this day do not know of it. It was a stress-free atmosphere for ourselves as well as our guests and it made our wedding day be filled with love and laughter by all guests. I mean seriously Entwined Events really took care of us, and we are so incredibly appreciative for all of the hard work that was put into making our day so special. If I could turn around and do it again there would be not one thing I would change! If you are looking for a beautiful venue that is stress-free go with Entwined Events!

Kira was absolutely AMAZING! She made our big day absolutely perfect and worry-free. She was on top of everything from start to finish. She repeatedly checked on me, my husband and our bridal party from the beginning of the day to the end, catering to our every need. She handled the entire day with professionalism, promptness and a take-charge attitude... which kept me from having to worry about a single thing. She met every single one of my demanding expectations, and I would definitely recommend her to any bride as their coordinator. Bedford Columns is absolutely beautiful and I'm so glad I picked this venue AND had Kira as my bridal coordinator. Five stars in my book!

I recommend this venue to anyone who wants to have a beautiful and elegant wedding and have it be affordable. We had both our ceremony and reception here and it was absolutely perfect. Kira was our planner, and we could not have asked for a better, more involved and dedicated person to have as a a part of our day. She always went above and beyond to ensure our needs and wants were met! You can tell she genuinely loves her job and we want to say thank you for making us feel so special and have the ability to thoroughly enjoy not only our wedding, but the planning process as well! The Bedford Columns is a stunning location and the staff is even better!

I recommend this venue to anyone who wants to have a beautiful and elegant wedding and have it be affordable. We had both our ceremony and reception here and it was absolutely perfect. Where to begin - my entire day was magical thanks to the team at The Bedford Columns! Kira was our planner and was more than I could have ever asked for. She anticipated absolutely everything and was taking care of it all before I even thought to ask. The food was DELICIOUS. The DJ was fantastic. The flowers - WOW. We used Carla Bruce with Entwined Events and I literally cried when I saw my bouquet. Everything, and I mean everything, was perfect. Just to give you an idea of the level of service this place provides - they put a box of food and piece of your wedding cake in your room for after the reception because they know the bride and groom barely get to eat during everything. If I could do it all over again - I wouldn't change a thing. The staff is professional, which gave me such peace of mind, and the venue is absolutely stunning. Thank you doesn't begin to describe what they did for me on such an important day in my life.

If you are looking for the perfect one-stop shop for your wedding with \"customizeable\" options, THIS IS YOUR PLACE. The food is delicious. Trish and Sharon are the most helpful, kind, and accommodating people, you have your option of djs, a kick butt videographer... oh and it is GORGEOUS. They have inside and outside arrangements and the availability to provide sleeping arrangements for you, your wedding party, or a few of your guests. Did I mention the food is great?

My wedding was on June 27th, 2014 and it was the most perfect day!! I looked at tons of venues in and around Lynchburg and ended up choosing the Bedford Columns for several reasons. One being that the staff was so willing to work with me an do anything I wanted. They were very willing to work with me on every detail an were very easy-going. Other venues were uptight and not very flexible. However the bedford columns was different. They even worked with my budget offering ideas to reduce the cost.\rA wedding coordinator is included with the venue and I can't imagine doing it without Megan. She thought of all the details I didn't think of and helped me choose along the way. I brought all the stuff I needed set up to the rehearsal dinner and she did the rest. I didn't have to worry about a thing. The day of the wedding ran so smoothly all day I was walking around waiting for something to go wrong and nothing did (if it did, I didn't know about it). \rThe venue is beautiful and I got tons of compliments about the wedding. Even though we went with the cheapest option for food (pasta) I got tons of compliments on how good the food was and how much fun the wedding was. The DJ we had was Barry Tosh and he was very professional and easy to work with. He did mess up a couple of the songs and things I had requested wish he had more of a flow with the songs I requested instead of playing them straight through. But those were just minor things when everything else was so perfect. Only other thing was that sometimes it was difficult to get ahold of Megan when I had questions I wanted a quick answer to. She didn't give me a phone number to call so sometimes I accidentally called Runk and Pratt and had a hard time getting ahold of anyone at the Columns and communicating via email is a slower process especially when you just want to talk to someone about your questions.\rOverall however I give the Bedford Columns 5 stars for service, quality and value, because the service during the wedding and reception was incredible, the quality and value because everything was so well organized and you get so much for a great price at this venue!
