There are not enough words to express our gratitude to Viviane, Fara and the bellevue team. Viviane made my wedding day an absolute breeze! We hired her as a day-of coordinator, and all of her services from the months leading up to the day-of were impeccable. She provided so much support, guidance and direction to help make our day go seamlessly. She really made our wedding day perfect. As you know a wedding can be so stressful but thankfully she took all of the weight off our shoulders by being so organized, detail oriented, and a great communicator. Any question or situation we asked or had, she had a solution. During our meeting with the venue, she asked questions that I didn’t even think of. On the day of the wedding she was there every step of the way. She went above and beyond. I'm so so grateful. The venue was absolutely stunning. It was my dream wedding. Thank you so much Reviewed on 22-10-2023

Zion Bryant-Feisal(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-05-2022 Gorgeous venue. . . Besides that the entire experience was awful and I wouldn't recommend to anyone. My wife and I held our wedding at the Bellevue and both the customer service and overall communication was extremely lacking. The venue is ridiculously priced, but based on the aesthetics and the area/region it is somewhat fair. However they build in so many additional fees and restrictions the cost just continues to balloon. I'm surprised they didn't charge us a fee to cut on the air conditioning!Besides the outrageous fees, which I gladly paid simply for peace of mind, getting any information was like pulling teeth. The receptionist/whoever answered the phone rarely had any information and would ask you to send an email. The email response time varied greatly, and on multiple occasions they would give me information pertaining to another party's wedding as opposed to my own. (Very Unorganized). All of our visits and walkthroughs were extremely rushed, including our Rehearsal. In fact they interrupted our rehearsal to remind us we had 5 minutes left. There were no other appointments those days they were just ready to leave! On other occasions they would give me misleading/contradictory information. I was told I could book an additional room (Milan Foyer) as long as it was not booked by another party. When I tried to confirm they said that room was unavailable no matter the booking. (this is on the same email chain where they asked me to confirm closer to the weeding date). They never sent me my Final invoice I had to request it myself. They then tried to charge me a $500 late fee even though I paid the invoice as soon as I received it. Then switched their stance saying the late fee was because the breakdown time exceeded the allotted time. However they have yet to provide any proof. Holding my security deposit hostage in the process.Overall bad experience I'm sure you can find the same aesthetics elsewhere in the Tysons/DC area with a much better customer support. The last thing you want is your big day spoiled by foolishness. Reviewed on 19-07-2022
Sarah Gagnon(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-07-2022 I had my wedding reception at the Bellevue this past weekend. We had our reception in the Marquesa Ballroom and our cocktail hour in the Bolour room. From the beginning of the process, we loved how flexible the Bellevue was with us with planning! Shab did a fabulous job explaining the venue to us, Fara laid out all of our decor options, Viviane helped us with the audio/visual, and Mashal helped us with with the food and billing. We felt completely guided throughout the entire process and the team was very responsive to our needs.Fara (Ala Mode) impressed us with her ability to make our fairytale vision come to life! Fara met with us several times to review our details and preferences. She really gets to know her clients! Fara’s knowledge of decor, flowers, and arrangements is truly a gift! She executed exactly what we wanted. My mom and I loved Fara so much!Viviane and her team at Bright Consultation set the tone for our reception. Months before our big day, they had us come in and selected everything from the hues of the lights to the style of the name projection on the wall. Bright Consultation made our DJ’s life easier by having an awesome sound system that he could just plug into. Bright Consultation also made our grand entrance perfect with the cold spark boxes and the amazing spot lights! The lighting was perfect!Mashal was responsive with any and all billing questions we had and everything was so transparent. The food was good and my family enjoyed the bar!I would 10/10 have my wedding at the bellevue again! It was really such a great day and everything was so beautiful. Reviewed on 15-07-2022

Beautiful venue but terrible service, FARAH or however you spelled her name is so rude and always on vacation! She does not provide correct information which drains your pockets on your actual wedding day! The staff was wonderful and so helpful throughout the entire event. The Audio Visual was extraordinary and my daughter and her husband actually danced on clouds in the gorgeous Marquis Ballroom as the AV people had dry ice shoot over the floor. The staircase is right out of a fairy tale and looks exactly like the ballroom in the movie Beauty and the Beast which is what my daughter wanted. Golzar Nejad(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-06-2021 We just had our beautiful wedding at The Bellevue at the end of June after almost 2 years of planning. I have to say it was tough planning and re-planning a wedding during the last couple of years but we are so thankful to Shab, Fara, and Mashal, for always being so helpful and accommodating in this process. The Bellevue is a premium venue and there is a premium cost associated with booking them as your venue. However, it has proven to be truly worth it in the end! All of our guests were stunned at the beautiful ballroom and honestly we could not have imagined a better event. Their entire staff was so helpful on the day of and it seriously gave me peace of mind. If you want that luxurious, glamourous feel for your wedding, this is the place! Basel Amad(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-04-2021 AVOID The Bellevue AT ALL COSTS!I felt the need for others to be aware of my situation so that they don't make the same mistake I made. The Bellevue has decided to keep over $20,000 of my money that was paid in deposits even when it became clear that due to COVID-19, they wouldn't be able to host my wedding. My original wedding date was on August 8, 2020 and then due to the pandemic, I had to postpone it to April 3, 2021. We had made the decision to postpone the wedding because everyone's safety was our top priority and even the Bellevue itself was closed at that time and not hosting food tastings for their client events. The Bellevue has a minimum capacity of 300 people that must be met and paid for in order to operate their main ballroom. For months, we would ask The Bellevue for some flexibility to allow for a \"pay per person\" accommodation given the current climate because it didn't make any sense to have to pay for 300 people when the Governor capacity limits by end of March 2021 only allowed for 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors, but they wouldn't budge. The Bellevue has done nothing to show that they empathize with the situation and try to come up with reasonable solutions to resolve this issue besides unfairly and unjustly continuing to ask their clients to continue delaying their weddings and essentially their lives because of it in order to hold on to your money. The Bellevue has not provided us with any services that would justify them keeping our money, in fact their lack of flexibility during these unprecedented times makes them seem entitled to all their clients money regardless of what's happening in the world. Many other venues have offered their clients full refunds - whereas I have been fighting this issue with Bellevue for months in the hopes that they would do the right thing and refund me my money given that no services were tendered until this very day, and will continue to fight this in the hopes that they would return to me what's rightfully mine. Upon mentioning that to The Bellevue, they responded with, \"In regards to other venues/hotels and their policies regarding rebooking fees and cancellations, whether or not they refunded clients or charged rebooking fees is irrelevant to the matter at hand and to The Bellevue.\" Truly a devastating and money hungry type of response.Even within their very own contract, it clearly stated if The Bellevue was unable to maintain its obligation of hosting an event for any reason, The Bellevue would issue a full refund. Since their own contract stated for ANY reason, then this encompasses any and all reasons, and does not leave options to pick and choose what doesn't fall under \"any reason\" to refund a client if an event couldn't be hosted.Just like most contracts, they list nonrefundable reasons where a client wouldn't be refunded which is fine except for the fact that they didn't include \"pandemic\" as one of those reasons. Even through all of this, they remain unreasonable, they lack empathy and communication skills, and still refuse to refund their clients. I hated having to associate such a sour taste in my mouth with my wedding day, and I wish I knew beforehand or that someone had informed me of the type of unprofessional people I would be dealing with. Therefore, this is my warning to everyone reading this: If you have other alternatives, which you do, you should definitely choose somewhere else to host your special day, you will be glad that you did! Chelsea E(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-08-2020 The poor business practices unfortunately overshadow the beauty of this venue. I really liked this place on my first visit and Shab provided a good introduction but it quickly went downhill. The management took advantage of COVID by preventing us from canceling (despite the contract), communication was sparse, and the audio and visual packages are engineered to prevent you from using an outside vendor. Our wedding date was in August 2020 and by mid-June we were unsure what reopening phase we would be in by August. Mashal made it clear they would not provide a refund to us if we cancel the wedding despite the fact that they wouldn’t be able to host the amount of guests in our contract if we were still in Phase ll of Virginia re-opening. The contract explicitly states the if the Bellevue can’t host the event then the client would receive a FULL refund. It’s unfortunate that during such a tough time a business would take advantage of their clients this way. Thankfully Virginia re-opened but if it hadn’t we would of just been out of half the cost for the wedding and due to family obligations unsure when we could have a reception. Fara their decor person was nice but took so long to respond to emails and the team in general often seemed to not communicate among themselves on different choices we made for the wedding day. For some scheduled meetings we would show up and no one was at the venue. In regards to audio and visual, it was a mess. I started contacting the in house AV early into wedding planning but didn’t get their options for packages until a month before the wedding. We waited because we were unsure what the penalty fee would be to go with an outside vendor. Then if you decide to go with an outside AV person they charge a $1500 penalty fee that is literally a little less than their cheapest AV package. So it really doesn’t even make sense to go with an outside vendor. Our DJ also said that their AV system was not up to par. He was glad that he brought all of his own equipment because initially they just told him to bring a laptop. The day of the wedding staff (bartenders, waiters, etc) were nice and attentive. My wedding coordinator had issues with management the day of because they were trying to change the room location of the ceremony which I guess was also due to a lack of communication among the team. I also brought my wedding shoes to the rehearsal and accidentally left them. It was my fault for leaving them but I was disappointed when I called immediately after realizing it and was told they weren't there which means either someone threw them away or took them.Ultimately, to pay so much for a venue you would expect high quality communication and professionalism and that’s just not what you get here. Thankfully the day of our wedding was still special and a good time but they made months of planning abnormally stressful. Reviewed on 12-10-2020
Ann Varghese(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-01-2020 No doubt a beautiful venue! For guests attending wedding's or events here i'm sure the experience is magical. Even guests at my wedding have posted reviews on Google about how nice the venue is. However for the brides/grooms/ those hosting the events, it's not worth the headache the staff gives. My husband and I had our wedding reception here. Coordinating with the staff was an absolute nightmare. There is extremely poor internal communication. This is only something they show you after you've signed a contract with them and they have your money. I didn't have difficulty with any other wedding vendor besides this one. Even my photographer, who is one of the sweetest people in the world, had difficulty with them on the day of our wedding. I never expressed things like I wanted the chandelier to be lit up red for the wedding day. And to my horror on the wedding day it was. Amongst so many other tacky things I never expressed I wanted. By the grace of God I brought in my own wedding coordinator and he was able to fix a lot of the staffs personal decisions for my wedding day on the day of my actual wedding. Even if you have documentation of schedules, vendors, photos etc. they'll still mess something up. Fara and Mashal specifically were the cause of so much confusion. Hard to understand how two women don't communicate when they sit at a desk right next to each other all day. My dad experienced this first hand as well. My wedding was in VA where he lived and I was coordinating from TX, so he was very involved communication with them. He needed to speak to the owner multiple times as a result of their communication deficiencies. The owner seemed to be very nice. Reviewed on 04-07-2020
Minilik Tess(groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-09-2020 Me and my wife booked a hall with Bellevue Conference & Event Center to renew our wedding vows. We paid for this event by a check on 03/13/20 in the amount of $4,950. Once everything started transpiring with COVID-19 our families coming from out of the country informed us that none of them would be able to make it to the event. Me and my wife paid for this event 5 moths in advanced not knowing that we would be laid off from work. This event was scheduled for 9/13/20. We then attempted to cancel this reservation and get our money back on 3/17/20. Once we attempted to get a refund we were told the check was already cleared on 3/16/20. As we contacted the company they refused to issue a refund. They insisted that we give this credit to another friend or family member. They also offered to postpone the event, but we explained to them our situation of being unemployed, and that we do not know when anyone will be able to leave their country due to all of the traveling being banned. We do understand that this is a company and a business, however this is our humanity and our lives that we have to ensure will not be destroyed due to COVID-19. The only thing me and my wife are requesting is a refund of the full amount, so that we can be okay throughout this worldwide crisis. Reviewed on 19-04-2020
