We absolutely LOVED The Bluestone and everyone working there. The personality of the building is really unique and interesting, and everyone that worked there was so incredibly nice. Our event coordinator was Kayla Hesselbein and she was amazing to work with from the very beginning. She helped us immensely throughout the process and was a very calming and supportive presence on the day of, which was very nice. The staff also took great care of us throughout the day and were so helpful anytime we needed some help with anything. All of the menu options that we chose were so, so tasty. Lastly, the venue is absolutely gorgeous and has amazing vibes. The venue and staff helped make our day an amazing one and we couldn’t ask for a better place to celebrate our wedding.

The Bluestone was AMAZING! Kayla was the coordinator that we worked with and she made sure every aspect of the event ran seamlessly. Not only is the church beautiful, but the food was also 10/10. Our bridal party had a lot of dietary restrictions and they made it easy to create a menu that addressed everyone's needs. Our experience at the venue exceeded our expectations and made our special day truly extraordinary.

Along with that, it was beautiful!! So many people complimented the venue on the beauty, the wonderful servers, and how GOOD the food was. They also had spacious parking lots and easy decor pickup/dropoff. We could not recommend it more!

I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful venue! Everyone was fantastic to work with. You don’t only get the entire venue, you also get KAYLA as a coordinator who is truly the absolute best at what she does. The Bluestone was an absolutely gorgeous venue for our event. The food and service provided was excellent and looking back this may have been one of the easiest decisions we made during our journey. Kayla was also incredibly helpful and responsive. Planning a wedding over 400 miles away is not an easy task but Kayla delivered and made the night everything I imagined and more.

Wood floors in the main room made a perfect dance floor with the light through the stained glass windows during golden hour, adding to the ambiance of our event. The Bluestone is a one-stop venue. The food was fantastic, the bar fully stocked, and the staff, I cannot convey how great the staff was. The price point was also perfect for what we were looking for.If you are looking for a stellar wedding venue that you and your guests would enjoy for any event, look no further than The Bluestone.

The Bluestone was amazing and we could not have asked for a better day! We had the venue booked form early 2019 and had to move it due to Covid and actually had our wedding October 2021. They did not charge us anything additional, Kayla, their amazing wedding coordinator, was super communicative the whole time and the day was set up and planned as if we never moved it. The attention to detail and care they had for us and our guests was so apparent in everything that was set up, the timing of the schedule of the day and clean up and storage of all of our belongings and decor afterwards. The venue is beautiful and the staff, shout out specifically to Kayla, is amazing! I would definitely book my wedding here over and over again! 10/10 recommend :)

Amazing, beautiful venue! Historic, but modern at the same time! The stained glass windows and facade make for beautiful wedding pictures. It was awesome getting married up on the stage too. The day of coordinator Sarah was amazing and so helpful. The Bluestone was a perfect place to get married because you can have both the ceremony and reception there. They flip the room in between for you, while guests enjoy the beautiful cocktail room or the patio. The price was so great for a place of this size and for the amount of add-ons you get. They are very organized and communicated well during planning. We loved the food and the way they set everything up for us! Overall, I would definitely recommend this venue! We only had one small problem with them right at the end of the wedding. We had been told that we could pick up our decorations the next day, but at the end of the night, the staff made us take everything with us. It was an unfortunate communication error, but what really put a damper on our night was how rude the clean up staff was to us on our way out. They were throwing our decorations in boxes very haphazardly, touching our personal items like clothes and purses (not part of their job) and basically pushing us out the door, well before our allotted time was up. I also didn't appreciate them bothering me - the bride - with a bunch of questions as I was trying to leave for my honeymoon. An unfortunate way to end the night, when everything else up to that point was so great working with the Bluestone. Just make sure there is an end of the night plan with them. I would still highly recommend this venue though.

Picking The Bluestone to be our reception venue was such a great decision. Kayla was our main contact and she was wonderful to work with! She was super responsive to emails and questions and was very flexible with changing ideas. She did such a wonderful job setting up our centerpieces and all of the miscellaneous tables the day of and was so good at keeping the cocktail hour and reception flowing. Not only did everything come together so well, without any hiccups, but the space itself is so beautiful. Wooden floors, lofty ceiling and gorgeous stained glass windows set the stage perfectly for a beautiful reception. The food was fantastic, the drinks were plentiful, and the service from the bartenders and waiters/waitresses was great as well. We received so many compliments on the space itself and the service. My husband and I were so happy with the decision to have our reception at The Bluestone.

I would 100% recommend The Bluestone as a wedding venue. Sarah, the event coordinator, was incredibly responsive and so helpful - I don't know what we would have done without her. The Bluestone itself was absolutely gorgeous - we had minimal decorations for the wedding and reception because the space itself is so beautiful. The food was delicious and the wait staff and servers were incredibly friendly and helpful. Sarah and The Bluestone have great relationships with a ton of vendors, so coordinating with everyone went very smoothly. Our wedding was the best day ever, and The Bluestone played a huge role in making it so.

I fell in love with the Bluestone the first time I walked in. It was the best venue I could have asked for. We had our reception there in July 2018 and not only did our it look beautiful but the staff was incredible. The servers had exceptional service and my husband and I always had a drink in our hand. There was a huge thunder storm on our wedding day and the entire staff waited outside to make sure the bridal party made it into the venue as dry as possible. They also helped clean up afterwards which helped my family a lot. The food was delicious and the minor changes we made at our tasting were carried through the day of. Sarah and her staff made the planning process so easy and took care of everything on the day of. The reception was exactly as I had hoped for and then some. I would recommend this venue 100 times over. I can't imagine going anywhere else. I can't say enough about this venue...it was THE BEST.

In addition to being a stunning and fun venue, the Bluestone’s staff is phenomenal. Sarah and her team provide incredible support through the whole process. The food was delightful, the price point was reasonable for a downtown summer wedding and we loved not having to share our venue with other couples. All of our other vendors also loved working at the Bluestone. Our wedding day was perfect and we highly recommend this venue!!!

Sarah was a huge help in the months leading up to our big day. The whole staff at the Bluestone made sure our ceremony and reception were perfect. We couldn’t have been happier with everything.

If you want a large, versatile, funky, urban space for your wedding that comes with a team of professionals who care about you living your best day on your wedding day, the Bluestone is for you. We started planning our wedding from a few states away, and the Bluestone staff, Jess in particular, made this ridiculously easy. When we were initially looking at venues, they were upfront about costs and sent several proposals with different scenarios. After we booked with them, Jess checked in with us regularly via email, and it was always easy to contact them by phone. They were always ready to arrange a visit to the venue when we happened to be in town. Jess helped us think through our wedding day and handled our stress like the pro she is. She had or found answers for every question or concern we expressed.On the day of, Jess and the rest of the Bluestone staff were just incredible; we really can’t thank them enough or do their work justice. They were friendly, professional, and knew exactly what needed to be done. Switching the sanctuary from the ceremony to the reception space was smooth and fast, and their food service was spectacular. Debbie and the rest of the wait staff were attentive, and the venue was flexible in terms of stocking the bar with some of our favorites at no additional cost.Let’s talk about clean-up. They handle everything. We left when we were ready and came back ready to corral and pack up our supplies. When we got there we discovered that the staff had already packed everything for us – even more carefully than we had done. We put it in our car and away we went!Jess and the Bluestone staff are consummate professionals who genuinely care about you and making your vision a success. Have a lack of vision or don’t know where to start? Not to worry, they have that covered too. You cannot go wrong having your wedding and reception at the Bluestone.

We could not be happier with our experience wedding experience here! Here's a list of the things that the Bluestone did that made us feel like they went above and beyond for us! 1. I'm not a huge wedding person, so I didn't care about a lot of the responsibilities the bride has in wedding planning, which of course can be an issue during the planning process lol. I basically gave the bluestone random arrangements and items for the centerpieces and other decor and said \"do whatever you want with this, It doesn't matter to me as long as it looks decent.\" And so they did, without any hesitation, and they made the venue look incredible! Everyone kept saying how beautiful it was!2. Unfortunately, we needed security for our wedding because we were anticipating crashers (historically violent and malicious estranged family). Thankfully, the Bluestone comes with a security guard! Their security officer was AWESOME. We did, in fact, end up having one of the suspected people try to crash the wedding, but no one ever knew it happened, and I didn't even know until the night was over, because he caught and removed the immediately. When she was kicked out, she tried to call the cops to crash the reception, but security met them at the front door and explained to them that the person who called was an unwelcomed guest. So no one knew the police showed up either! Flawless work by the security guard on thwarting the problem!3. They let us bring all of our items to the rehearsal the night before and leave them there. One of these items was a 300 pound arch made of railroad ties, that they let my dad in early so he could build it on the stage. All of these items were able to be left over night to pick up the following monday as well. 4. They told us they could have someone there to let us in as early as needed. There were at least 2 people that were in sight ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT for anything we needed. They didn't hover, but they were always nearby so you could always find them when you needed them, and we were never without a drink! 5. They asked what we wanted waiting for us the morning of while we got ready. All I asked for was coffee, but we showed up and found we had hot coffee ready to go, bottled water, various types of soda's (off the top of my head I remember coke, diet coke, sprite), orange juice, and champagne for mimosas. They also supplied cups, ice, and champagne flutes for the drinks!6. I asked for a signature drink a week before the wedding, and they happily obliged, and even went out and bought all the additional items needed to make the drink itself.7. THE FOOD! The apps are all awesome (we had none left over!), but so was dinner! We were so happy to find it tasted good because we're so used to going to weddings with dried meat and bland dishes. Their chef is great!8. The coordinator! Jess is honestly a great coordinator, but also just a great person as well. When I had to have the embarrassing talk of the \"unwanted guests\

From meeting with me, to answering ALL of my emails & phone calls, to planning my tasting, helping me with the rehearsal to being a saving grace on my wedding day...she is LITERALLY the BEST! When I say the Bluestone does EVERYTHING, they do more than that! And this is just the AMAZING team. The venue itself is naturally GORGEGOUS and HUGE! On top of all of that, they have a great wedding suite that my entire wedding party got ready in, while the boys were downstairs getting ready. We had our ceremony inside, we used the outdoor patio for cocktail hour and they had 2 bars so no one ever went thirsty. They even had an upstairs inside area we could have used for cocktail hour if the weather did not cooperate, knowing this kept me very calm days leading up to the wedding. If i can add anything else, the food was great and the service was amazing. Debbie made sure myself, husband and bridal party never went thirsty. She partied with us but always with a drink in hand for someone!!! I truly cannot say enough amazing things about this venue and their team!

Not only was it one of the most cost-effective places I found in the Columbus-area, the venue is made by its gorgeous ambiance, spacious rooms, and spectacular staff. One of the biggest hidden gems of The Bluestine is Sarah Downs, one of the bridal coordinators. She was such a joy to work with and made the planning process and day-of go seamlessly. I could not recommend this venue any higher for a bride looking in the Columbus area.

Having our wedding at The Bluestone was hands-down the best decision we made throughout all of our planning! The venue is absolutely gorgeous (a two-story former church that is now a concert/special event venue). We decided to have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception there. Not only did every one of our guests have a view, but the sound quality is amazing since they have concert-quality speakers hanging above the stage. We have been to so many weddings where we weren’t able to see the first dance or hear the toasts, but The Bluestone puts all those worries to bed. It was easy for the DJ to hook up to the sound system and actually saved us some money since the DJ didn’t have to transport his own speakers. We worked with Sarah and she was the best wedding coordinator we could have asked for. You could tell she was extremely experienced and knew exactly what she was doing, from our first meeting with her to days after the wedding. She joined us for rehearsal the night before, was active in communication with us, our DJ, our photographer, and anyone else who had questions. We are so thankful for her and Carin! Our only complaint were two bartenders that were fairly rude to our guests. We had several people complain about the same two bartenders. The food was phenomenal…all of our guests raved about how great the hors d'oeuvres and dinner were. Overall, we are so happy we had our wedding at The Bluestone and would love if we could replay it one more time!

We had our reception there in May and it was a fantastic experience throughout the planning process, but especially on our big day. The Bluestone held a lot of significance to my husband and I so we wanted to have our wedding day revolve around our favorite place. The Bluestone has so much character and depth and was absolutely gorgeous for the traditional ceremony we wanted. While the staff flipped the space (amazingly fast!), our guests got to enjoy cocktail hour on the patio before dinner. The reception was beautifully laid out and, following dinner and traditions, became a hot dance party for our fun and crazy college friends. You really can't find a more perfect party venue in Columbus! The staff is outstanding- they are what make the venue exceed 5 stars!! Sarah is a sweetheart and a superstar coordinator- there are no small details that she misses! She will help in any way she can, always going above and beyond. Her finesse and guidance are what helped me as the bride trust the wedding day would be smooth sailing. Jess was also a joy to work with and was extremely kind and knowledgeable. Debbie is one of the servers, and is just wonderful! She made sure the bridesmaids and I were taken care of 24/7 and told us if we were having fun, her \"old bones\" were having fun. She is the sweetest, spunkiest, most attentive gal and also waited on the parents/ families during the reception. Our parents are still in love with her! The bartenders were also fantastic and had great personalities the guests really enjoyed. The food was delicious, service first class, and unique atmosphere unbeatable. Guests have been raving about it nonstop! Our wedding was everything we had hoped for and more. The Bluestone is worth every dollar spent!

I can't believe our special day is over! Our wedding day was so incredible from start to finish and we have Sarah Downs and the amazing staff at the Bluestone to thank for that! They made sure that everything ran smoothly, from setting up the bridal party suite, ceremony and reception, to making sure everything was in place before I walked down the aisle, to helping out our grandpa get through the line to get his food, to providing exceptional service to all guests throughout the night, to making sure everyone got to their cars safely after the reception. Everything about our night was magical and we will have these wonderful memories forever!

I can't believe our special day is over! Our wedding day was so incredible from start to finish and we have Sarah Downs and the amazing staff at the Bluestone to thank for that! Simply fantastic. The entire staff at the Bluestone went out of their way to make the wedding of Alex and Audreyana exceptional. From setting up large trees to create winter forest, to the small details of perfectly setting the table decorations, they made it magical. The plated dinner was great, the meals came out to each guests request, hot and delicious, the servers were attentive and efficient, the bar made great drinks, the security detail was polite and conscientious, the lighting crew perfectly lit up the stage, trees and the dance floor, and the coat check was perfect for the guest coats and wraps on the cold winter evening. Sara was a delight to work with. She was there from our first tour, through communicating to an out of state Bride-to-be, to assisting with guest arrival and making sure this wedding was just how we had imagined. The evening was enjoyed by everyone.

This is hands down the BEST wedding venue there is. There is honestly no reason to look anywhere else! I could write a novel about how amazing this place was for my wedding. We had around 200 guests (even some who forgot to RSVP...really - and Sarah took care of it no problem) every single guest commented about how there was some kind of magic in the air and that our wedding was the perfect mix of elegant and fun thanks to the Bluestone. The staff is unlike any I have experienced. During our wedding the staff made sure everything was perfect, even when a guest knocked over a large vase with a candle (wax everywhere) and busted it, Sarah's staff had a brand new vase and candle in its place before I came down the aisle. I didn't even notice, I was told after the fact! Matt who works there was so incredible - he found a pillow for my grandfather's back, helped my family friend with arthritis down the stairs and made sure she got to her table and got anything she needed. A guest even lost their cell phone and the staff ran around until they found it! A wonderful waitress named Deb also made sure my parents were taken care of with drinks all night long, she was so sweet and even joined us on the dance floor. The staff made sure the bridal party had everything they needed the entire night. Centerpieces are one thing I totally obsessed over and wanted to be so perfect, I was nervous about not being able to set them up myself when they turned over the reception, however, the staff made my centerpieces EXACTLY as I wanted and every single table looked perfect. They even take care of all of the clean up and place all of your things together so you can easily come pick it up the next day and just enjoy your wedding night. The BEST part, is now one of my bridesmaids and one of my husband's groomsmen will now be getting married at The Bluestone, so we get to experience this amazing venue again and we could not be more thrilled!! HIGHLY recommend!

This is hands down the BEST wedding venue there is. There is honestly no reason to look anywhere else! I could write a novel about how amazing this place was for my wedding. We had around 200 guests (even some who forgot to RSVP...really - and Sarah took care of it no problem) every single guest commented about how there was some kind of magic in the air and that our wedding was the perfect mix of elegant and fun thanks to the Bluestone. The staff is unlike any I have experienced. During our wedding the staff made sure everything was perfect, even when a guest knocked over a large vase with a candle (wax everywhere) and busted it, Sarah's staff had a brand new vase and candle in its place before I came down the aisle. I didn't even notice, I was told after the fact! Matt who works there was so incredible - he found a pillow for my grandfather's back, helped my family friend with arthritis down the stairs and made sure she got to her table and got anything she needed. We wanted a venue that wasn't a reception hall or country club and the Bluestone gave us the space, service and character we were looking for. I can't even count the number of guests that came up to us and told us it was one of the nicest weddings they have been to. Some of them even danced the night away with us, which we loved! The only thing that did surprise me a little bit was I didn't see much of the \"day of coordinator\" on the actual day. I provided detailed instructions of how I wanted everything set up, so it could have been that she knew exactly what to do and didn't want to bother me but it would have been nice to see her and hear how all of the set up was going. Also, had the Rehearsal the night before, we didn't receive as much direction as we would have liked. We were hoping she would take charge and make sure everyone knew exactly what to do, but most of our bridal party (including my fiancé and I) left with quite a few unanswered questions.All that being said, choosing The Bluestone was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and we wouldn't change a thing. My husband and I set up a tour of the Bluestone because we used to attend concerts there when we first met. We thought it would be too expensive to get married there, but it ended up being about the same price as our other venues but you got so much more for your money! We had the whole venue to ourselves for over 12 hours. We were able to get ready at the venue (boys in the basement and girls upstairs) which made the day a lot easier. Sarah and her team took care of setting everything up, flipping the room between the ceremony and reception, and tearing everything down at the end of the night. All we had to do was bring everything to the Bluestone then take it home at the end of the night. It is a beautiful and unique place that does not need much decoration to stand out. The food was delicious and the staff was amazing, especially Debbie who took care of us all night (and taught me how to wobble). After the reception, we were even able to have an afterparty in the basement until almost 2am. I just cannot say enough good things about the Bluestone. Definitely one of the best choices we made for our wedding. I felt so stress-free on our wedding day because I knew Sarah would have everything taken care of.

I fell in love with this place as soon as I walked in. Somehow I have never been to an event here in my 14 years living in Columbus. The venue speaks for itself, but the other perks are what makes this place worth the 5 star rating! Sarah was my coordinator and she was fantastic!! We came to her with a pretty quick date and she made me feel like I was giving her 2 years to help me get ready. She was always available to answer any questions, was even patient with my hubby to be as he played the math game with all the different options for beverage packages. She was accommodating to all of my different floor plan requests and panic attacks that we weren't going to have enough space!The food was outstanding, and what a relief that there wasn't another vendor I had to work with - they do it all in house and they do it WELL! Debbie was our assigned server, and she was flat out amazing. She took care of the entire wedding party all night long and no body wanted for anything. She told me her goal was to get me whatever I needed all night before I even knew I needed it and she delivered on that over and over again! I cannot say enough AMAZING things about my wedding at the Bluestone and the entire process of working with Sarah and the staff there. The venue is unique, beautiful and an absolute pleasure to work with. From start to finish, the Bluestone was extremely accommodating, organized, knowledgeable and responsive. We always felt like we were in good hands throughout the planning process. Sarah helped us with every aspect of planning, from selecting menus to working with vendors to running day-of logistics to post-wedding cleanup. We held both the ceremony and reception at the Bluestone and didn't need any sort of day-of coordination services because the Bluestone staff was so helpful!Our guests (and us!) cannot not stop raving about the venue. They complimented the delicious food and the amazing space. Our guests were dancing all night long and the space flowed perfectly- we had guests sitting upstairs and downstairs and that worked out great. The Bluestone is absolutely perfect for having a wedding band because the space is used for concerts and accustomed to working with bands.

We had our wedding at the Bluestone on 4/9/16. It was an amazing experience and we couldn't have asked for a better venue. The set up was gorgeous and even more beautiful than how we envisioned it. The staff at the Bluestone was terrific! From the coordinator and the assistants that helped that day, to the waitstaff and bartenders. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The coordinators made sure that we had everything we needed all day long and that the entire event went smoothly. They did so much behind the scenes that I didn't even realize at the time. During the cocktail hour and reception, we had personal waitstaff for the whole bridal party and parents. They made sure our meals were prompt and our hands were never drink-free. It's easy to look at the price tag on everything and be amazed at how expensive it all can get, but I couldn't put a price on the dedication and service we received from the Bluestone. It was an amazing day and I'm so sad that it's all over, but I couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding! Highly, highly recommended!!

Where do I start! First off Sarah Downs was great. She was so easy to work with, and was very flexible with our needs though-out the whole process. I was so stressed the week of the wedding, getting all the last minute details complete. No need, Sarah ensured not to worry and she would put everything where it would look best. Sarah and the staff did such an amazing job it exceeded our expectations. The wedding day came and Karen and Debbie were great. Karen was very professional and courteous, she made my husband and I feel very important. Debbie was just on it with our drinks, there wasn't a moment during the night where I did not have a drink, whether it was water or an adult beverage. She also was very fun, and kept my guests entertained. I can tell that Debbie and Karen truly enjoy what they do. Overall, our experience was amazing, the venue was unique and we couldn't have asked for a better day spending it at the Bluestone. One last person to recognize, thank you Jess for showing us around when we were looking at venues, and for helping on our wedding day, your help did not go unnoticed. Words can't describe how perfect our wedding day was. But I'll try...in hopes that other brides get as much enjoyment out of this place as I did. I fell in love with the Bluestone while researching venues in downtown Columbus. It lived up to the hype when we visited in person, and was truly perfect for our wedding. Biggest pros: beautiful, truly unique space. This isn't a cookie cutter ballroom. The space is dark, intimate, and filled with lots of nooks and crannies. Sarah, the onsite coordinator is a gem. She and her team were fantastic, and always had an answer for all 23049234 of our questions during planning. She runs the show with grace, and you won't be shuffled around with different coordinators during your planning process. No need to hire a day-of wedding coordinator because she'll manage all of your onsite vendors. My mom and I could not for the life of us get the bustle on my dress to work. I was getting upset because it was taking so much time away from mingling/enjoying the moment. Words can't describe how perfect our wedding day was. But I'll try...in hopes that other brides get as much enjoyment out of this place as I did. I fell in love with the Bluestone while researching venues in downtown Columbus. It lived up to the hype when we visited in person, and was truly perfect for our wedding. Biggest pros: beautiful, truly unique space. This isn't a cookie cutter ballroom. The space is dark, intimate, and filled with lots of nooks and crannies. Sarah, the onsite coordinator is a gem. She and her team were fantastic, and always had an answer for all 23049234 of our questions during planning. She runs the show with grace, and you won't be shuffled around with different coordinators during your planning process. No need to hire a day-of wedding coordinator because she'll manage all of your onsite vendors. \rI am writing this review from the Mother of the Bride Perspective. The wedding is now 2 weeks past and I am still on cloud nine. The team at the Bluestone was perfect... Jess helped us with all of the pre wedding planning from the preferred vendor list to table setting choices. In working with our vendors, they all knew the Bluestone, and the Bluestone knew them and it was all perfectly coordinated. Jess blew me away when she could estimate the number of seconds for a bridesmaid to walk down the aisle.. really... that is a woman who knows the details and has been through this before. She handled a couple of frantic moments with grace... what? The Bride doesn't like her flowers? We had a new ones in one hour.... What ... it’s raining on outdoor photos... here are umbrellas... What, guests could not make it... no empty place settings.... perfect.... then, she introduced Ashley who helped us through the night without ever missing a beat... perfect. \r \rThen, was the wedding and the reception. Debbie was my Angel. I was so pleased when before the wedding, she introduced herself to me, and then took care of my every need.... a glass of wine before the wedding, a cup of coffee after dinner.... loading the car at the end of the night.... Really... I know the Bride is the most important person... but momma of the bride ranks up there too and Debbie made me feel like royalty. PLUS... she was a blast... there was lots of drinking and dancing... and some spilling on the dance floor... she was out there in a flash, fitting right in, helping clean up the spills and not missing a beat. Debbie really added to the party!\r \rI would also say they did a perfect job estimating our staffing needs. I don't think anyone waited more than a couple minutes for a drink (remember Debbie... I never waited once!) and the food was presented quickly and beautifully. At the end of the night, I tried to thank each person... the bartenders were all still there, all still happy and all ready to serve. \r \rOne \"lesson learned\" I would offer. The end of the night was a bit hectic. The DJ and the Bluestone did such a great job keeping the party going.... folks did not leave... so that is good and bad. It made the end of the night rushed and difficult. Had I thought through that better we could have planned it better.... but, my first time as MOB!!!\r \rSo two weeks after the wedding, I am still singing you praises, I still loved the day/night and the experience, and I have recommended the Bluestone to others... did I mention the pictures are spectacular with the Bluestone backdrop?\r \rThank you to all of the Bluestone Team. We had roughly 250 guests- the Bluestone was the perfect venue and very accommodating, Sarah is amazing to work with and everything turned out great! We had seating upstairs and downstairs for our guests. We had our ceremony and reception here and I couldn't have wished for a more perfect day. It rained early on but cleared up- there are options to have your cocktail hour on the patio or in the upstairs room and being a music venue the lighting and sound system were already included and perfect! You also have the option of having an after party which was so perfect for us. I would definitely recommend this venue!

Every single thing we asked of them/her, we were told yes of course, we can definitely do that. The food was great, the bar has such an assortment of alcohol and we were so impressed by flipping the space during the cocktail hour. The Bluestone has a church feel to it but also a super fun party feel. The dance floor was packed the entire night!\rIt was exactly what we wanted and we could not be happier!

Sarah Downs and her staff went over and beyond to ensure that not only me and my husband were taken care of, but also our wedding party and families were taken care of. There wasn't a point in the night where my hand didn't have a drink in it, or that I needed anything because someone was always right there to take care of me. The food was amazing. Everyone told me that I wouldn't eat on my wedding day, well they were wrong. Everything from the appetizers to the main course was delicious. \r\rI don't think the staff at the Bluestone have the word \"no\" in their vocabulary. Anything we asked for they found a way to make it happen. We were truly blessed to find such a fantastic venue for our special day and meet the amazing staff. The Bluestone is our absolute favorite place in Columbus, and having our wedding there was just amazing.

Sarah and the team at The Bluestone made everything very easy from the start of the process a year in advance, through final details, and execution the day of. We used the venue for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and afterparty in the downstairs club level. The Bluestone team were easy going and flexible to allow us to customize the things we cared about most resulting in a fantastic wedding that \"felt like us\". They were also very professional when encountering an unprofessional outside vendor we used which was very much appreciated and helped keep the last minute stress levels to a minimum. Our guests commented more than one time how great each space was that we used during the day and night. I would highly recommend The Bluestone as a wedding ceremony, reception, and after party venue.

The Bluestone is absolutely the most perfect venue for a wedding in Columbus! We were looking for a venue that would not be your typical \"cookie cutter\" wedding, and the Bluestone exceeded our wildest dreams for how beautiful, elegant, romantic, and FUN our wedding would be! There is no other venue that provides the beautiful architecture, stained glass, vaulted ceilings, and history like the Bluestone. We received so many compliments as people were in awe of how amazing the venue was, from the food, bar, and servers to the ambiance and architecture! One of the best parts about the Bluestone is the flexibility of the space. We were able to design the layout and flow of the reception tables the way we envisioned, and bring in our own decor and lighting in which the staff so creatively used to decorate the entire venue. With the abundance of space and different rooms in the venue, there's no end to what you can design for your reception. We were even able to have our after party in the upstairs Great Room -- until 2am! They even let us bring in Raising Cane's for a midnight snack, which no other venue in Columbus would allow us to do! I truly believe no two weddings at the Bluestone would be the same, as they work with you to bring your dream wedding to life. This is what I loved about the Bluestone, and why I would highly recommend it to anyone getting married in Columbus!\r\rSarah (the wedding coordinator) is truly one of the best parts of the Bluestone. We loved The Bluestone as soon as we visited the space. The traditional architecture, unique layout, and rock'n'roll vibe, was everything we wanted but didn't know how to put in words or even know was possible. We were able to arrive as early as we wanted the day of our wedding and get ready there or just hang out. Using the balcony for dinner seating, in addition to the main floor, means that there isn't a bad seat in the whole place and everyone can see all of the action from cake cutting to first dance without having to scurry around.\r\rThe wedding coordinator, Sarah, is great to work with. She was prompt with communication and helped accommodate all of our requests. The rest of the staff was fantastic too! Everyone was so helpful, kind, and full of energy. We were so pleased that they took such great care of our guests and paid special attention to our parents. They even boxed up all of our gifts, decorations, and the lunch we had brought in at the end of the night. The Bluestone allowed us to come in on the next business day to pick everything up instead of making us rush around after our wedding trying to get everything out by midnight.\r\rThe Bluestone provided all of the catering in-house, which made us concerned when we first booked because we hadn't tried the food yet, but in the end we had nothing to worry about. The menu had plenty of options and all of the food that we tried was great. When you see \"chef's vegetable\" you worry that you'll get some bland pile of carrots and green beans, but what that mean's at The Bluestone is that the chef will choose a vegetable selection that best compliments the menu you've picked. In our case we had beautifully roasted red peppers, grilled zucchinis and summer squash. So good!\r\rWe can't be complimentary enough about The Bluestone! The whole experience working with them was wonderful!

I can't speak highly enough about the staff and experience we had at the Bluestone for our wedding. At first I was hesitant that the concert venue would still feel like a bar, which was not what I wanted for our elegant evening. However the Sarah and her team absolutely transformed the venue and it was exactly how I pictured. \rSarah was so easy to work with and personally made sure the day was exactly what we wanted. She always gave us direct answers and I never felt like she was dancing around a question, which I found with other vendors. \rThe night of the staff made sure both me and my husband’s family was taken care of the whole night. They memorized our drink orders at the beginning and we were never empty handed! \rAll of our guests couldn’t stop talking about what a cool venue the Bluestone was and how beautiful everything was. They also loved looking at all of the posters on the walls of the different bands they’ve hosted – that’s something no other venue can provide! \r

She always gave us direct answers and I never felt like she was dancing around a question, which I found with other vendors. \rThe night of the staff made sure both me and my husband’s family was taken care of the whole night. They memorized our drink orders at the beginning and we were never empty handed! \rAll of our guests couldn’t stop talking about what a cool venue the Bluestone was and how beautiful everything was. They also loved looking at all of the posters on the walls of the different bands they’ve hosted – that’s something no other venue can provide! \r

The entire staff was fantastic and really helped our wedding day go off without a hitch. We could not be happier with our choice to have our wedding at The Bluestone. As soon as we walked through it, we knew we had found the right place. A beautiful old church on the outside with so many cool details like stained glass windows, but with a rock-star vibe on the inside--concert posters, bars, and several different spaces, all with their own unique details that we got to use throughout the day. \r\rJess Savage, one of the planners for the venue, was extremely helpful to us along the way. We were able to come in multiple times leading up to our wedding to meet with Jess and plan various aspects of the day. She answered all of our questions very quickly and gave great recommendations, plus she was a huge help on the day itself- helping with decorating, working with various vendors and making sure everything ran smoothly. The rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the night as well--especially Debbie, who was always busy making sure that the wedding party and our families had drinks and anything else they needed. Everyone was very impressed with her and the rest of the staff. \r\rI can't recommend The Bluestone enough. It is a perfect place to have both ceremony and reception. The atmosphere, the food, the people--absolutely everything was excellent and so unique! Our guests can't stop talking about it and we will never forget it!

Me and my husband had our wedding at the Blustone and we could not have picked a better venue. We were set on getting married in downtown Columbus and had our venue pretty much picked. We made a last minute decision to look at the Bluestone and we both fell in love! We did not want a traditional venue and this place has so much character. The staff was also phenomenal! We worked with Jess and I cannot believe how stress free she made it. I called all the time to ask questions and wanted to stop by and she was so nice and accommodating. Her answer to anything and everything I wanted was yes we can do that. They also didn't try and nickel and dime us for everything like other venues. The day of we had the entire venue to ourselves and the staff set up all my decorations and did it beautifully! We picked the cheapest food the Italian feast because we were at about 200 guests and we were pleasantly suprised. We got a ton of compliments on our food. The waiting staff was also very attentive and fun. I remember one of them even on the dance floor at some point because one of my bridesmaid dared her she wouldn't, it was hilarious! I cannot give this venue enough praise!!

This unique space is the perfect setting for a party! My husband and I had a perfect day! Sarah Downs the event coordinator is relaxed and extremely professional. She made our day run so smoothly. We didn't opt to get a wedding coordinator and our day went off without a hitch. I know it was because Sarah and the Naked Karate Girls (our band) worked so hard. \r\rNot only was the planning experience fabulous because of Sarah, but the servers the day of made our guests' feel taken care of. We had a number of people come up to us after the wedding and say their server took care of them all night. Even my parents and in laws remembered their server Debbie keeping a drink in their hands all night. \r\rIf you are looking for a fun, unique party this is the venue for you! Don't be scared away by the in house catering the food was fabulous! This is a must see venue if you love music!

We do not have enough good things to say about The Bluestone and their staff. Sarah Downs was absolutely wonderful to work with. From working with me very early on to keep our budget in mind, letting me come in the venue throughout our year leading up to the wedding with friends and family to take a look/discuss decorating ideas, answering alllll my questions honestly and promptly, giving me advice and recommendations, always being available... and going above and beyond on the wedding day. I had a lot of extra lace that we didn't have a chance to use with decorations. While I was busy with hair/makeup/photos and had completely moved on from any decorating, Sarah used that extra lace on our head table for the reception, on the buffet for dinner, and maybe other places... and reused our cocktail hour flowers...it pulled everything together even more beautifully than I had imagined. Plus, when I needed double-sided tape, Jess (another Bluestone planner) ran out to CVS and got it for me... literally within minutes. It's those \"little\" details that really set Sarah and The Bluestone apart.\r\rDuring the reception, one of the staff members really stood out - Debbie. She was so energetic, fun and helpful. The moment my hand didn't have a drink in it, Deb was bringing me (and all my family/bridal party!) a new one. She was so fun, and multiple people commented on her energy and speediness! \r\rThe venue is breathtaking. It speaks for itself. The convenience of using the building all day was so nice. We could leisurely get ready, hang out, eat and drink. I was relaxed, comfortable, and completely trusted the staff to ensure everything was how we discussed. Our wedding was perfect - in large part due to The Bluestone, Sarah Downs and the rest of the staff. If you're looking for a wedding venue in Columbus (especially if you want ceremony/reception in the same venue), you should absolutely go with The Bluestone.

We had both our ceremony and reception at the venue, and I was amazed at how fast they flipped the Sanctuary into a beautiful dinner and dancing space. I don't know how I would have ever gotten my head around trying to decorate and set up everything by myself, even with help from family or friends. I barely even had time to eat that day, let alone think about chairs and table settings and favors. It was so nice to have the Bluestone's awesome staff taking care of all of that for me. Because they host so many music events, every room in the building is wired into their sound booth in the Sanctuary, so set up was fast and easy for our ceremony performers and DJ. Also both our cake vendor and florist had worked with them in the past, and the Bluestone made sure that someone was waiting to help both vendors when they showed up before the bridal party arrived. Really, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Two thumbs up, five stars, and all that good stuff!

We had our wedding reception at the Bluestone last month. When we looked at the venue last summer after our engagement I immediately loved the space. My husband and I wanted to do something different than your average ballroom, but we needed room for well over 200 guests, which is hard to find in the downtown area. We booked shortly after, and Sarah was great to work with for the rest of our engagement. She was always available to answer any questions and she took note of all the little details that we wanted to have for our big night.\r\rWhen we walked into our reception I was blown away by how wonderful the whole venue looked. Sarah and her team put everything together exactly how we envisioned it and it looked spectacular. We got dozens of compliments about how awesome the venue was all night and for weeks after the wedding. Everything was a hit: the décor, lighting, food, service, and the fun and friendly staff were loved by us and all of our guests! Sarah even made sure there were cabs waiting for everyone at the end of the night when our shuttle bus decided to not show up!!! \r\rChoosing the Bluestone was the best decision we made for our wedding...I promise they will not disappoint!

The Bluestone did an outstanding job with every detail of our daughters reception. The food was delicious. The venue looked beautiful. The staff made sure our decorations were exactly as we requested. The service was excellent. Every staff member was polite and helpful. Sarah the event planner was wonderful to work with and made us all feel at ease. Many of our quests said that it was their favorite venue ever for a wedding. I have to agree. It was everything my husband and I wished for our daughter. We can't thank the staff enough for making this very joyous day so magnificent.

Our reception at The Bluestone was just fantastic!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the service, the food, atmosphere and staff. Staff- Sarah Downs was just a joy to work with. She responded quickly and made me feel like she was a sister helping plan my wedding as she was so personable. Atmosphere-the ambiance of the wedding was just what I wanted. Elegant, but fun and causal. the room seems daunting at first, but Sarah really helped me visualize the tables, dance floor, and decorations. The Bluestone helped me really personalize everything, making set up and tear down a breeze that we didn't have to do anything. Food-I have celiac and Bluestone was so accommodating to my needs and allergy. They made sure all my food was prepared to my specifications. The tasting was amazing. My father, the pickiest of eaters, loved the food and the day of the wedding everything matched from the day we tasted it. The chef knows his stuff! All the food came out around the same time so people were not just sitting around not eating. Everyone ate at the same time, leaving more time for dancing and socializing. All the food was warm when it came out and not one person had a messed up order. We also has 8 kids in our wedding and they had great children meals. The kids ate on time and were happy which made the parents relaxed and happy. Misc-What also was great is that all the vendors I worked with were very familiar with Bluestone so coordination of everyone was easy. We had cocktail hour upstairs with the grand stained glassed window. It was beautiful and didn't need much decorating which helped with our budget. I read many reviews and visited several venues around Columbus and nothing compared to Bluestone. They listened, treated me like family, and made me feel as though my day was so special. Not once did I feel like a number or another bride coming through the door. Sarah really took the time to get to know my family, making us all feel welcomed and invited. There were things that happened on the wedding day (mistake of mine, not bluestone like someone not getting a nameplate) but I didn't even know about it. Sarah took care of everything. I was not a very stressed bride and I think that helped as I trusted Sarah and Bluestone to handle everything and they delivered and then some! Our guests have nothing but wonderful things to say since the wedding. They say the food is the best they have had at a wedding and the service was superb. The best part was the head table and parent tables had their own servers who were energetic, fun, and on top of everything. They set our dessert aside for us as we were dancing and came to fill our glasses and always had an eye on us. I cannot say enough nice things about The Bluestone and Sarah Downs, the events coordinator! We booked the Bluestone for our June 2013 wedding almost a year in advance and started the planning right then! From the beginning, Sarah was so accommodating and helpful! I was worrying about little details like linens 10 months out and she suggested having a meeting to bring in samples and test them out. All my concerns were met with prompt responses and a \"no problem\" attitude!\r\rAlthough we planned for almost a year, the day of, it was if we talked about everything that morning! The reception space was flawless and exactly as we had discussed. I had dropped off all the decorations the Thursday before, and Sarah and the staff did all the setup and executed perfectly. They even went above and beyond and added little touches I didn't even think of with the extras I provided! They coordinated the drop off times with all my other vendors, and even allowed my photographer early access to the space to set up a photo backdrop. \r\rThe Bluestone has their own in house catering, and it was wonderful! I've had several people tell me it was the best wedding food they've ever had! The servers were so polite and friendly, and took special care of my husband and I and our families that day, bringing them drinks all night. \r\rAnd the venue itself is stunning! The pictures do not do it justice! So many guests came up to me and told me how beautiful the space was! The lighting potential is amazing, and The Bluestone tech team did a beautiful job! \r\rService was one of the biggest concerns for my husband and I when picking a venue, and The Bluestone exceeded our expectations. Not only did we make wonderful memories at the Bluestone, we feel as if we've met some great friends in The Bluestone staff along the way :)

Just amazing. They assembled and displayed everything as i asked and truely helped to transform the already amazing space. The food was yummy working with everyone from Sarah Downs to the sound coordinators made it so easy for all the vendors, as well as us. they were very accomodating and helpful and laid back (a good thing for us). The security guard on the night of did far more than required by his job and Debbie, our server, truly gave us the royal treatment.

The bluestone was the perfect venue for our wedding. It is so gorgeous inside and out, and has an awesome atmosphere. I could not be happier with the way everything went. Our coordinator, Sarah Downs, was always so helpful and was always available by phone or e-mail. She was so sweet and helped us out with the planning every step of the way. The service was amazing. The staff were all very respectful and helpful. We just had a fantastic, fun and memorable time, and I would recommend the bluestone to any bride. They are on the pricier side, but it's totally worth it if you can splurge a little. (we had our wedding on a sunday, so the cost was a little less than a saturday event).

My husband and I fell in love with the Bluestone on our first visit. It was perfect parts rockstar for him and historic building/church for me. The Bluestone staff were excellent. They took care of everything for us so I didn't need to worry about anything. I enjoyed the party knowing all my guests were taken care of.\r\rWe had just over 200 people at our reception, and the two-level sanctuary and loft space made the reception feel intimate while hosting so many people. We loved that we had the flexibility of using the whole building for the entire day.\r\rSarah was our coordinator, and it was a pleasure working with her. She was very responsive, flexible, and thorough. Everything we asked her for was a possibility.\r\rEvery staff member working our reception was welcoming and helpful. My parents and my husband's parents raved about the staff member helping them at their table, and the woman who helped the head table was always happy to get us anything we needed.\r\rThe food was delicious! We chose the flank steak, Boursin chicken, and the vegetable strudel accompanied by green beans and the spicy spinach orzo. I liked the flexibility we had with the menu. The Bluestone was able to accommodate the many food allergies and dietary restrictions we had among our group. We had several wedding party members with gluten allergies so we had a gluten-free cake along with our regular cake. While we displayed the regular cake slices rather than serving them, the Bluestone made sure that each person who couldn't eat gluten received a piece of the gluten-free cake delivered to their table.\r\rI strongly recommend you choose the Bluestone. My husband and I had an amazingly fun wedding and you will too!

The Bluestone staff is phenomenal! I had a reply to my initial contact with the venue within 12 hours and their timely responses continued throughout the entire process. My contact person was Sarah who was not only helpful but extremely friendly and calm 100% of the time. At the end of the process I felt like I was talking to another friend about the wedding plans, not a venue coordinator which helped ease much of my stress. The venue itself is large and offers plenty of room for guests to chat, dance, take a breather outside, and sit down and watch the evening unfold all while still giving an intimate feel. The food was amazing and portions were great! The servers were on the ball, making sure that the families and the bridal party had their drink of choice in hand at all times! Some even took part in the dancing which was so much fun and have become some of my fondest memories of the day! The bar tenders were fabulous and our guests commented about how awesome it was that they never had to wait for drinks despite the large amount of people there. Also, the venue is beautiful for pictures. My favorites from the whole day are from our time spent at The Bluestone! Hands down The Bluestone is fabulous, I would not have wanted my reception anywhere else.

My daughter's wedding reception was a joyous and beautiful celebration. Sarah was extremely helpful in arranging our first child's wedding reception, very patient with all my questions and very accommodating of our creative ideas. She made sure we got everything done on time and that everything ran smoothly. On the day of the reception everything was done to perfection. The wait staff was amazing, the food was amazing (especially the steak!) and the venue was gorgeous. I missed most of the hors d'ouvres, but heard they were good. Everything went off without a hitch. Even getting things packed to take home went well with the help of the wait staff in loading cars. Flexibility was what sold me. The bluestone was willing and able to do almost anything you wanted from food/menu options to furniture set up. Sarah the coordinator we worked with was awesome. Her patience and calmness was unreal and made planning the reception by FAR the easiest part of my wedding. They had recently brought in an in-house chef when we went to choose food and all of it was SO good- they'll make anything you want and it was fresh and unique, not bland like a lot of banquet hall food.\rThe Bluestone was willing to work with me to get to a cost that worked for my budget for a very large wedding.\rI also found that because the hall was so beautiful itself, I did to have to spend a lot of money on decorations and the placed looked amazing. Having use of the entire building made our big wedding not seem so cramped because guests could be inside or out on the a,asking patio. And because they are used to hosting big concerts, they managed the bar very well and no one was ever waiting long for a drink. I can't imagine having my reception anywhere else - it was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed every single part of using this venue.

We had our ceremony at the Bluestone and were very impressed with the way they treated us. I was a bit concerened with the transition they made after booking them as they were changing their name and transitioning themselves to more of an event center. The transition was smooth and we ended up working with great people who were more responsive than the first woman we worked with when the facility was called BoMA. \r\r\rWe were able to take a big creative license in decorating the facility and the Bluestone staff was very nice to help us with anything we needed. We thought the room would be a bit dark, but with the lighting the Bluestone provides it really brightens the space so don't let that turn you away! \r\r\rWe ran into a little snag with an event scheduled the same time as our rehersal, but the staff was able to provide another space for us. The only other problem we had was the bridal enterance song being wrong, but that easily could have been my fault as I put together the music for the event. The sound guy was able to download the song we wanted, but my dad and I were still fashionably late by about 3 minutes. (It is a fun story to tell now!) \r\r\rThe day of the wedding, we were the only event while we were there. We were able to use multiple rooms throughout the facility which made it nice for getting ready and having all the hair and makeup vendors come to that facility. It was also nice to have the girls on the top floor and the guys on the ground floor so that my husband and I did not see each other (or didn't have to worry about accidentally seeing each other) before the ceremony. \r\r\rYou cannot go wrong with this beautiful facility. My husband and I chose it because of it's beautiful architecture they maintained from when it was a church. We used our decoration to enhance what the facility already had to offer. I had a friend who helped set up our decor and the Bluestone provided all the chairs and large pieces. I recomment having someone help you as I was able to focus on getting ready! We worked with Sarah and a little with Tiffany and they were both extremely helpful and professional!

We had our ceremony at the Bluestone and were very impressed with the way they treated us. I was a bit concerened with the transition they made after booking them as they were changing their name and transitioning themselves to more of an event center. The transition was smooth and we ended up working with great people who were more responsive than the first woman we worked with when the facility was called BoMA. \r\r\rWe were able to take a big creative license in decorating the facility and the Bluestone staff was very nice to help us with anything we needed. My husband and I got married at The Bluestone in June 2011. Our experience was GREAT. Susan was the wedding coordinator and all the way through the planning up through the wedding and reception she was wonderful....super helpful, up beat, and knowledgeable. All of our guests were amazed by the venue. Everyone was in awe of the building but everyone especially loved the food. We had several guests tell us that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding! When planning the menu the Chef (I can't remember his first name) and Susan were great...our options were literally endless! The best part of the entire wedding experience was that everything went off flawlessly. Before the ceremony we were catered to and had complete control of decorations and the facilities to do our hair and make up..and my photographer had plenty of time to get all the pictures he wanted. Everything at the Bluestone was AMAZING. I wouldn't change one thing about our day. I would recommend this venue to any bride as a fun, cost efficient, well ran, great place to get married!
