Very unprofessional when we toured the venue. Trash talked a wedding flower arrangement for the wedding that night. Not taking my chances here. Reviewed on 09-11-2023

My daughter had the rehearsal dinner and fairytale wedding of her dreams at The Boma Lodge last week. This hidden gem is tucked away in the woods right here in Rockingham County! Cornel, the owner, has many years of experience with wedding planning. I was so grateful for her expertise that came along with the venue. She made our wedding planning much easier. We could not have picked a more perfect place for my daughter’s dream wedding. We had around 105 guests which I think was the perfect number for our intimate experience. Reviewed on 27-05-2023
Aleasha Bethea(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-04-2023 Beautiful venue with many options and opportunities to make your wedding what you want it to be. Great value for the money when compared to other venues. Could be a little more organized and possibly offer an option for additional help to be hired to help day of and day after for set-up and clean-up…we definitely would have paid for the help if given that option. If I had to do it again, I would definitely book the same venue. Had a great time even with all the hiccups. Reviewed on 03-05-2023
Amanda Hill(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-10-2018 BonaManzee is so beautiful and full of charm! I absolutely adore the owners! They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect. I couldn't be more grateful, truly. I would recommend anyone and everyone to use this venue for any and all events! Heather Groseclose(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-07-2015 We used Bona Manzee for our reception venue. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. When we sat down with Cornel, we were told(and it was in the contract) that all of the tables and chairs would be set up and they would have the tablecloths/runners on them as well. We were told the caterers would have an area for them to set up, and that we would only need to bring our centerpieces, beverages/ice..etc When we arrived the morning of the wedding to set up the reception, NOTHING and I repeat NOTHING was set up or even brought out. Our guys had to bring every single chair & table out. After that was all set up, we finally got to start unloading all of the supplies. Cornel wanted to say we shouldn't put things in certain places because it may not look nice. Since we paid over $3000, we shouldn't have to debate what would look nice & what wouldn't. If it doesn't look nice to you, that's not the intention. What matters is, is that the bride and groom like it---that's it. Cornel's husband was really nice and always came around to check on the bride and groom to make sure they didn't need anything(which was nice). After setting up EVERYTHING and taking down EVERYTHING, we were beyond exhausted. We left the place spotless(only leaving behind 2 bean bags from our cornhole game) When we came back the next day to get our deposit, I was so upset and frustrated about eveything, I just wanted to get my deposit and leave. This place is beautiful, but not worth the price you pay for comepletely having to do everything yourself. Reviewed on 21-07-2015
Laura Nelson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-10-2014 We ABSOLUTELY LOVED our wedding at BonaManzee. This quaint, private cabin style venue was the perfect choice for our fall wedding. With a brand new ceremony deck set above a lake and within the trees, you can't beat the view. On top of the beauty, the price is hard to beat! They provide packages which include the price of a photographer, DJ, florist and caterer. Seriously...this takes so much stress off you as the bride. Don't let the few views or website fool you, this place is the real deal! I suggest you check it out before shrugging off this place :) Reviewed on 05-11-2014
Brittany Ainsworth(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-06-2014 My husband and I looked at probably 15-20 places before finally deciding on Bonamanzee. They are great to work with and I couldn't have been happier with the overall wedding. Cornel and Hardy are so sweet and try to accommodate everything that you need. I did book with them before they started offering the all inclusive packages but I'd recommend them for anyone. We had plenty of seating and the new deck they have built is amazing for photos and the ceremony. \r\rAll in all, I rate them 5 stars all day long. Reviewed on 04-07-2014
