We had our wedding at JDKâs location, The Bond, and it was nothing short of amazing. It was everything we could have wanted for our wedding day!! From our initial tour of the venue with Alanna, we knew we were in good hands working with the folks at JDK, everyone was so nice and welcoming and made us feel special! Emma was our appointed contact and she was awesome!!! She helped guide us through every step of our planning process and kept great communication throughout our months leading up to the big day. Our wedding day, Iâm still speechless with how seamless and professional the entire JDK group is. Everything was so stress free for me as a bride, I could focus on my hair and makeup and photos all while JDK is setting everything youâve been imaging all in the background almost without a peep - and it was exactly everything we had talked about that came to life. Everyone definitely knew what they were doing and we were in really good hands. We were able to enjoy every second of our wedding with no hiccups. If we had to do our wedding all over again weâd def go with JDK again and recommend them for any couple thatâs looking for a great team of people to help make your special day a dream come true.

We had our wedding on 09/16/2023 at The Bond. We were in search for a modern wedding venue that wasn't a barn or a hotel banquet hall. We had visited several venues before The Bond but nothing felt right until our tour here with Alyssa. The Bond and The JDK Group offer so much and are willing to give you price ranges from day one before even committing, while other venues we toured all ranged based on other things that were TBD. This group was amazing to work with and all of their staff was very professional and personable. Alyssa was amazing from day one. She made us both feel so comfortable and at ease with the stress of wedding planning. She gave her honest opinions on things when we asked her to, but did not give judgement towards any of our decisions/choices. She was up front with us about everything and helped us through lots of different floor plan, linen, food, etc. options. The Bond itself is such a unique venue with so much opportunity to make your day special and unique. The venue offers such great options for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions. We utilized the outside area for cocktail hour which our guests raved about. All of our guests also raved about the food and service they all received from everyone. Our 150 guests had plenty of room while eating and also dancing with the large floor plan this venue offers. The venue also offers so many different photo opportunities that make it great from different backgrounds throughout the different lightings of the day. The venue is conveniently located with handicap accessibility and ample parking, which was wonderful. It is so close to there newly renovated Yorktowne hotel which was great accommodations for our out of town guests. Overall The Bond was such a great venue and the team at JDK was amazing to work with, especially Alyssa. We could not have asked for a better group of staff or venue to help make our day so special. Definitely recommend looking into this wedding venue and all it has to offer!!

If you're searching for an industrial-style venue in Central PA, this is definitely the venue to book! The inside is beautiful in and of itself, so you don't even need many decorations to make the space look put together. I had a winter wedding, so the soft lighting was perfect for the vibe I was going for. The bridal suite was also really convenient for me and my crew to get ready the morning of the wedding. The food tasting through JDK (The Bond's exclusive caterer) was a wonderful date-night experience, and a lot of my guests complimented me on how good the wedding meal was. The service was also great, with the lead server making sure that my husband and I were taken care of all night long. My planner, Alyssa, was quite the professional. Unfortunately, there was a mishap with my linens not showing up on time, but she handled this like a pro and found a quick solution and refunded us the linen rental money. I was extremely pleased with the professionalism and level of service.

When looking for our wedding venue, we wanted something that was not a barn, and not a hotel ballroom. This left us with a smattering of historic buildings and a few repurposed industrial venue spaces, and the absolute gem that is The Bond in our search area. After our initial tour of The Bond with Alyssa, we still visited a few other venues, but after sitting down to dinner each time, we both ended up saying â... but itâs not The Bond. I like The Bond better.âThe Bond is an exceptional space. The industrial glam structure flexes to fit many decor styles, but we definitely attempted to incorporate the buildingâs and the King Square Gardenâs character into our wedding day. The entire process was fairly painless, and Alyssa supported us throughout the process. JDK catering earned many compliments from our guests and other vendors as well as ourselves; the food is a step above meals we have had at other weddings. I have several significant dietary restrictions in my family, including cross-contamination sensitive individuals with Celiac disease. The chef and catering staff worked with me to sub ingredients to ensure everyone could safely eat. The day-of-coordinator, Sydney, was also helpful throughout the event and handled any concerns we had. We also wanted to give a shout out to the bartending staff, who handled our signature cocktails, beer and wine selection, and NA options with ease. The day of the wedding, we were assigned a member of the JDK catering team (Sandy) who ensured that we always had our preferred drink of the moment in our hands, and she even held our drinks during photos if needed. She also made sure we got to try all of the hor d'oeuvres that we had selected. We love Sandy! Last but most certainly not least, Alyssa B. is a shining star to work with when it comes to support for planning your wedding. She was engaged, listened to our ideas, and worked to help take the loose vision in our heads to reality on our wedding day. She was easy to communicate with and to get a hold of when we needed, and ensured any and all concerns were addressed on every front, from catering to filler decor to logistics for bringing in our (450 bite-size) desserts and alcohol. We could not have pulled it off without her.

We had an amazing experience at the Bond! We live in Philadelphia and wanted a venue with an industrial/modern vibe and the Bond was the venue that really caught our attention. From the beginning, they were responsive and amazing to work with. We had a blast at JDKâs (the Bondâs catererâs) group tasting and weâre BLOWN AWAY with the food and service. At our wedding, we used the Bondâs new outdoor space as our cocktail space and it was gorgeous. The indoor space was everything we could have hoped for. This is THE choice for venue!!

Colton and his team did an AMAZING job with our wedding florals at The Bond in York, PA - the pops of color and touches of boho, all within a moody and romantic palette, was executed perfectly. I definitely wanted some color brought to the gray industrial space, with but with a relaxed elegance. We really couldn't be happier with the tone the florals set in the reception space. Our ceremony florals were equally as gorgeous, delivered to St. Joseph's in York, PA. I planned my wedding from afar, and Colton was so easy to work with - spot on, very professional, and the florals/design was affordable. Our JDK venue coordinator, Lexi, was incredibly helpful after a staffing transition - she swooped in about two months before the wedding and helped place the finishing touches on our design, including finalizing our linen colors, ordering chargers and velvet napkins. It was so helpful to have JDK handle those rentals instead of outsourcing another vendor myself. Lexi was thorough and made sure our personal decor was set up perfectly at the venue. Our ceremony was offsite, so it was such a relief to arrive at The Bond and have everything set up and looking gorgeous. I finally want to note that the food is fantastic - our guests are still raving about the brussel sprout lollipop butlered hors d'oeuvres, the handmade guacamole station at cocktail hour, and our margarita signature cocktail. The venue, food and esthetic did not disappoint! Highly recommend JDK Catering and Weddings by JDK for your wedding at The Bond or elsewhere!

I am still talking about our day like it was yesterday. EVERYTHING was so amazing. The staff, the food, the building itself. Everyone treated me like a QUEEN and they did such an amazing job working with us to ensure our day went off without a hitch. Through the entire process, start to finish. Even when we were late to meetings, everyone was still patient and kind. I would use this venue for all of my future events but my wedding here was even better than I imagined. I would recommend The Bond to everyone.

We were married at The Bond on 11/13. From the moment we toured the place with Abby, it was ours. Abby really sold us on the venue and we worked with her for well over a year. In the midst of the pandemic, she handled the work well and always remained professional and dedicated. It was a pleasure to work with her! It is a unique venue with beautiful details! I like to say it's \"Brooklyn vibes but not Brooklyn prices\". If you know, you know. The space can be decorated in many ways and can fit many different visions. The area around The Bond is magical! There's parking, absolutely breathtaking murals, and cute shops. This venue really photographs well. The bridal suite, gentleman's room, and bathrooms were suitable. It really is a great space to make fantastic memories!

We were married at The Bond on 11/13. From the moment we toured the place with Abby, it was ours. Abby really sold us on the venue and we worked with her for well over a year. In the midst of the pandemic, she handled the work well and always remained professional and dedicated. It was a pleasure to work with her! It is a unique venue with beautiful details! I like to say it's \"Brooklyn vibes but not Brooklyn prices\". If you know, you know. The space can be decorated in many ways and can fit many different visions. The area around The Bond is magical! There's parking, absolutely breathtaking murals, and cute shops. This venue really photographs well. The bridal suite, gentleman's room, and bathrooms were suitable. It really is a great space to make fantastic memories!

We had no idea a concrete building could be so beautiful. What we loved the most was that itâs completely within the JDK family which comforted us beyond belief that it was just another day to the entire staff - who btw are all stars. Abby was with us through the pandemic, had countless ideas and made every accommodation for us. On the day, the Bond was transformed into a moody, magical, romantic venue. We felt like royalty and had ZERO worries or stress points because the staff was SO kind, so organized, and the food was sooooo good.

We had the best wedding on 9/18/21. The Bond was the perfect venue. We loved the location, being located downtown surrounded by all of the great murals York has. The on site overnight parking was great so our guests didn't need to worry about being towed. The venue itself was beautiful. The JDK team did an amazing job putting all of the decorations together for us that matched our style perfectly. We had access to the building all morning so we could get ready there and watch everything come together. The staff were amazing and catered to us throughout the whole day.Our coordinator was Molly Unangst. She was great at communicating with us during the whole process. We booked the venue in June 2020 so we did a lot of zoom meetings in the beginning and then in person meetings towards the end. Molly was helpful at every step and answered all of our questions. She went above and beyond on the day of the wedding. We ran out of rum during our cocktail hour and she personally ran to the liquor store to get us more. We had the best wedding on 9/18/21. The Bond was the perfect venue. We loved the location, being located downtown surrounded by all of the great murals York has. The on site overnight parking was great so our guests didn't need to worry about being towed. The venue itself was beautiful. The JDK team did an amazing job putting all of the decorations together for us that matched our style perfectly. We had access to the building all morning so we could get ready there and watch everything come together. The staff were amazing and catered to us throughout the whole day.Our coordinator was Molly Unangst. She was great at communicating with us during the whole process. We booked the venue in June 2020 so we did a lot of zoom meetings in the beginning and then in person meetings towards the end. Molly was helpful at every step and answered all of our questions. She went above and beyond on the day of the wedding. We ran out of rum during our cocktail hour and she personally ran to the liquor store to get us more. If I had to have one drawback to The Bond, it would be the smaller room, the \"Grooms\" room, to get ready in was pretty tight.

We were smitten with The Bond almost immediately upon seeing it and we had a great first impression of the staff and potential of the space. The Pandemic, unfortunately, brought about a series of staff turnovers, but JDK was always transparent, respectful, and communicative about any changes. We had the greatest privilege of working with Emma Santana at the end, and we could not have asked for a more genuine, intelligent, sweet, and tactful Venue Coordinator. Emma was there to reassure us every step of the way that we would get the wedding of our dreams. We had to postpone three times because we kept getting our hopes up and let down with each new severe state regulation. However, Emma represented not only professionalism for JDK but also our best interests. She was responsive and efficient with all requests, inquiries, and details. When the day finally arrived this past October, we were happy to have her present and our day went off without a hitch. The food was definitely one of the reasons we were interested in commuting 2 hours from our residence, and boy-oh-boy, they knocked it out of the park in both the tasting and the special day. The Chef also kindly accommodated our interest in showcasing a few Brasilian appetizers and late night snacks which were made incredibly well. We had great bartenders who also mastered the Old Fashioneds and Caipirinhas. We loved that this was a BYOB venue so we could bring diverse drinks. On that note, also, JDK and Emma are so passionate about their field and treated us exceptionally well, permitting us to be both creative, theatrical, and minimalist in our decors and dress attire, never once judging our nontraditional selections. A bonus is how our Coordinator, Miss Lyss Planning, also worked well with them and synchronicity was important for us. We wholeheartedly recommend The Bond for a unique, industrial venue and there arenât enough words in the dictionary to praise Emma and JDK for their exemplary service. As the bride writing this review for both my husband and I, Emma was so outstanding to me, on a personal note, and it was such a joy to speak to her each and everytime. She is so skillfulâ I truly felt like I was her only client at times because thatâs how much attention she offered to me. Her compassion during one of the most frustrating epochs during our life was bar-none. We are sad that we wonât have a chance to work with them again but we wish them continued excellence and hope to cross paths again in the future.

The Bond is an absolutely BREATHTAKING venue & exactly what I was looking for when I was trying to find the perfect industrial venue. The space is perfect for any size wedding and easy for guests to navigate around! You also get MORE out of the venue with all of the beautiful murals in the surrounding area. Besides what you can easily see - working with The Bond/JDK Team was nothing short of a phenomenal experience. Emma is an absolute ANGEL jumping in as our coordinator right as things started to re-open and right from the start she was completely on top of everything. I know how crazy busy the wedding industry is right now but Emma made me feel like the most important bride every time we spoke. She listened to every detail and made sure to keep in constant communication on her end. Emma we will forever be grateful for all of your hard work and dedication to our wedding day & making it the most PERFECT day ever!! We also have to give a shoutout to Jamie & Sam from JDK! I met with Jamie for our final details meeting and she & Sam helped run our rehearsal. They were the sweetest gals to work with and the same thing as Emma made us feel like we were the most important couple in the moment, giving us 100% of their energy to help pull off our vision. Jamie even texted me one week out just to say happy wedding week! Sam was there setting up when we arrived and made sure to take care of absolutely everything and helped Danielle, our coordinator, make everything look perfect. I will never be able to thank them enough for everything they did! And the service/FOOD OH.MY.GOODNESS.....I am drooling at the memory of our wedding food. I don't think there was/is ONE person who could say anything but amazing things about dinner. Had the most amazing intimate micro wedding at the Bond back in August 2021. I was pretty picky about how I wanted floral and set up and Colton KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK. It was picture perfect. We are still getting guest feedback about how elegant and unique the space was and how amazing all of the staff was. Also guests repeatably told us how amazing the food was. My cousin was convinced it was the best wedding food he's ever had. Cannot recommend enough. We absolutely loved the venue and staff.

My husband and I married on 2/22/20 at The Bond. We had our catering through JDK and the food was AMAZING, the best wedding food I have ever had. That comment has also been repeated by our guests. We had our floral done through JDK by Colton as well, and again beautiful. Every space in the venue was touched with magic and was beautiful. Our venue coordinator changed last minute due to staffing changes which was incredibly stressful. However, our new coordinator Molly came with her boss Abby and Colton the very next day and new our wedding plans better than we did all a week before our wedding. The entire night went flawlessly.There are details that were thought of by JDK that could not have come across my Pinterest crazy controlling bride brain! I had a staff member Juliana following me around with food and drinks during cocktail hour and pictures. She made me feel like a princess. Also, every single staff member at our venue spoke to me. Anytime a staff member passed by my husband and I they would say something encouraging or offer help. While my family was busy partying the big boss was helping me bustle my dress; and she was happy to do it. The Bond itself is a blank industrial chic canvas and should be considered highly for any bride and groom to get married in. It is easy with the bridal suits, cocktail area, ceremony spot, and reception space. One stop shop with JDK. 10/10 recommend

My husband and I visited 8 venues in the York, Lancaster, and Harrisburg area. The Bond was our last stop, we definitely saved the best for last! We immediately fell in love with the venue and not just because it is a beautiful space but also because of Megan Sellers, the venue specialist. It was immediately apparent that she put more effort into her couples than any other venue specialist. She listened, asked questions, took copious notes, and was honest. Megan went above and beyond to help us customize our packages and pricing. She was very responsive and organized throughout the planning process. Leading up to the big day, we had a family emergency which lead to last minute changes. Megan not only jumped in to help us figure out the details but also was very compassionate. The Bond is lucky to have her representing the organization. You will be hard pressed to find someone that will take better care of you on your wedding day. Also, the serving staff and bartenders were outstanding. They were respectful, attentive, and moved quickly in the background to ensure our guests had an amazing time. The food experience at the Bond/JDK was also phenomenal. They offer so many great options at great prices. They even customized hors dâoeuvres so weâd have our favorite food on our wedding day. So many of our guests told us that this was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The Bond is completely indoors, however the murals in the surrounding area give you ample locations for beautiful outdoor photos. All of our expectations were surpassed by the Bond, Megan, and JDK. We truly couldnât have had a more perfect wedding day.

I canât say enough fabulous things about how amazing our wedding was and it was largely due to Megan and the JDK catering group. My sister found this wedding venue, it was the only one we looked at and said yes immediately! I loved the industrial vibe itâs so different from any other wedding I had ever been to. The alley area next to the bond has several really cool murals that made our wedding pictures absolutely amazing! Our photographers loved the venue too and our photos turned out beautifully! We opted for no sit down dinner and did stations instead which gave people the option of choosing what they wanted to eat and everyone could eat at the same time and sit wherever they wanted. All of our guests commented on how good the food was (we did sliders, tacos, French fry and onion ring station) I highly recommend the chicken and waffles appetizer, it was a crowd favorite. The staff could not have been better, everyone was friendly and professional. Honestly you canât go wrong with this venue, your guests show up at one venue for ceremony and reception, there are amazing photo opportunities, and youâll love the food! I also must give a shout out to Megan who was always available to answer questions, couldnât have been more accommodating, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She even gave us a congratulations card that thanked us for choosing their venue! My husband is born and raised on Long Island and most of our guests traveled and everyone couldnât stop talking about how cool and fun our wedding was. All of the vendors Megan suggested were fabulous and multiple people asked about the decor and flower arrangements which was all done by Megan and Colton (who Megan recommend, he also works with JDK catering and I would highly recommend)! Thanks to Megan and the JDK catering crew our wedding was hands down the best wedding ever!

I wanted to say thank you to The Bond for making our day so special! I had toured several places and looked at so many venues online and then I came across The Bond. I, and then we, both fell in love with the look and feel of the venue from the pictures on their website. Then it was 100% confirmed when I met with the venue specialist, Megan, and toured the venue. Megan was amazing. She took us through what most couples do on the day of, the services they offered and embraced many of our own ideas. During the months prior to the wedding, a small panic occurred here and there, but Megan was always able to put our minds at ease. All my questions, and my Mothers, were quickly responded to by phone or email and she was always willing to give helpful and friendly advice for whatever we needed. When the actual day finally arrived, I was blown away, not only by our ideas coming to fruition but all the additional dĂ©cor that was provided by The Bond at no charge. Typically you get to rent a building and everything else is on you⊠not with The Bond. People often ask us⊠what was the best part about our wedding day? For us, the best part about the day was that we didnât worry about anything. Megan worked very closely with the vendors and the coordination she has with her staff was flawless. Every last detail was perfect and honestly (as far as we knew) there was not one little hiccup! We highly recommend The Bond. The venue is stunning, the food was so good and the most important was the personal touch and devotion, by Megan and the staff, to making our day as incredible as it could be. We got married on October 4, 2019, at the Bond, and we had an incredible experience from the planning to our actual wedding. Megan, Venue Specialist, worked with our planner to make our wedding more than we could have ever imagined. We live in Baltimore, but it was worth the drive to the Bond! The food with JDK is great and the menu is customizable. They even allowed us to include our 13-year old Pomeranian in our ceremony. The staff who worked at our wedding were also super friendly and accommodating with our guests. Without hesitation, I will happily recommend going with Bond for your upcoming wedding or event!

Megan (The Venue Coordinator) was so great to work with, she was attentive and very responsive to all our questions and concerns. She could not have made the wedding planning process any smoother. The day of Megan handled everything beautifully. She added additional design elements so in tune with our overall theme, it complemented and enhanced our vision. Our guests could not stop raving about the food from JDK catering. Countless guests came up to say this was the best wedding food they have ever had! The Bond truly was the best venue for us and we could not be happier we chose it!

The wedding venue âThe Bondâ located in York Pennsylvania is absolutely amazing!! My daughter absolutely loved this space over all the venues we toured in the local area (Harrisburg, Hershey, York and Lancaster). She was looking for a more modern-artsy feel vs. the barn or ballroom. Cost is always a factor when planning a wedding and at one point we really thought we werenât going to be able to make it happen. Well, it happened, July 13, 2019 my daughter wed the man of her dreams and had an absolutely stunning wedding at the Bond. I owe all the thanks to Megan Sellers who is the most amazing Venue Specialist and JDK Catering who makes the most phenomenal food! Having had some experience at wedding planning and dĂ©cor myself, we did provide many of the decorations⊠but waitâŠI was absolutely blown away the day of the weddingâŠJDK also supplied additional decorations, candles, florals, uplifts to create an amazing and modern look on the food stations and other areas that needed a little sprucing up! Topping that they even matched all the food signage to the wedding colors. Megan, not just another pretty face, worked diligently, as did all the JDK staff, setting up the venue. Megan was very much in control of all the details and if there was a question, she verified with the bride or myself. She worked hand-in-hand with the officiant making sure the wedding party and family members were in check with where, when and how things were being done. Whatâs even more amazing⊠there was no charge for all the additional decorations or the role âwedding plannerâ Megan became the day of the wedding. With the amazing service, wedding planning, additional dĂ©cor, amazing food, beverage service you absolutely have to check it out. This empty space of concrete, brick walls, dozens of paned windows and giant chandeliers becomes the most amazing beautiful space to make any brideâs dream come true!

My parents had a verrry traditional mindset, and The Bond didn't seem like an obvious choice to them. I had 150% confidence in the JDK group and Megan and the amazing team that works there. She helped us every step of the way, and her calming presence is seriously what every bride needs during the stressful moments leading up the wedding. The day of the wedding, ALL of my family's \"traditional\" feelings completely faded away. Every. single. guest. was BLOWN AWAY by how amazing the bond was, how amazing the staff was, and what a gorgeous venue it was. And that is the ultimate compliment. Not only was the look (and catering) amazing to which I'm still receiving compliments, but Megan was SO fun and great to work with. She let me visit the site multiple times when I was in town and made planning from San Diego a breeze. My bridal party loved her and my wedding planner was so excited to have one of the easiest venues to work with.

I loved having my wedding at The Bond! I only went there one time with my husband and we fell in love immediately. I really wanted a modern industrial venue, but we live in an area where Philadelphia seemed like the only choice. My budget, however, did not like that idea. Megan was beyond amazing and helped us with everything, from the big things all the way down to the little things. We didn't feel an ounce of stress when working with Megan and her team and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. The Bond took care of everything the day of and we didn't have to worry about a thing. The food (provided by JDK Group) was amazing, by far the best food wedding food we've ever had. The Bond ensured that the guests were taken care of as well as my husband and I. We have had so many people complement us on our wedding, specifically the venue. We got married at The Bond this past October 6th, 2018, and we cannot speak highly enough of Abby, Megan and team. First of all, the space is beautiful in its own way - we looked everywhere in Central PA for a venue that would be unique, contemporary, not-a-hotel (we didnât want a âhotel weddingâ) or not-a-farm (we arenât farm/country people), haha! The Bond was a perfect fit for our style and our wish to find a more urban setting.Unlike other couples, both my fiancĂ© and I were equally active in choosing all of our wedding details. My husband was super excited about The Bond - the garage door that divides the cocktail hour space and the ceremony space was just way too perfect to pass as heâs a huge car guy. :-)We didnât want a formal reception by any means and tossed away seating charts, seating down dinner time and a lot of other formalities thatâs simply (for us) got in the way of partying, and Abby and Megan were amazing in helping us craft a menu that would fit in that vibe, be delicious (everyone loved the food!!!) and gluten free (celiac bride here). The space was set to be a party, with a mix of pub-height and lower tables (no head tables or sweetheart tables for us) that just made it perfect and relaxed and, most importantly, US.The industrial and contemporary vibe of the space was a beautiful backdrop for the decor (we hired Kate from Forte Florals and she created this modern and airy greenery geometric escape that we simply cannot describe in words) and we felt home the whole time.We had so much fun during our wedding. I didnât have a single hiccup reported to me the whole day, neither did my husband. We were there just to enjoy ourselves, party with our most loved people in the world, and everyone at The Bond (including our lovely waitress that kept us fed and hydrated all night long) deserve all the credit in the world!

The Bond was one of the first venues we found & visited, and fell in love immediately. It fit the aesthetic we were hoping to find at a more affordable price than other venues we found. Abby & Megan have been so incredibly helpful with working through menu options to perfectly fit our taste, layouts for the tables, and answering questions upon questions as we started the early stages of planning. The Bond was one of the first venues we found & visited, and fell in love immediately. It fit the aesthetic we were hoping to find at a more affordable price than other venues we found. Abby & Megan have been so incredibly helpful with working through menu options to perfectly fit our taste, layouts for the tables, and answering questions upon questions as we started the early stages of planning. We are ecstatic to start our next chapter in May at such an incredible place, and would highly recommend that you check it out if youâre looking for a unique wedding venue!!!

They embraced our theme and decor of the wedding and meticuloisly filled in all the gaps. As far as the menu was concerned the JDK Group specifies and changed any of our items to fit our wishes and needs. This space was perfect for our rustic industrial tone that was complimented with a touch of glam. The central location was perfect for out many out of town guests. I got married at The Bond in September 2018 - The Bond went above and beyond my expectations for my dream wedding! The Bond building is raw and gives a true industrial feel in the heart of downtown York, PA. JDK hosted an on site event at The Bond earlier in the year for 2018 Brides/Grooms for food tasting. The event was filled with foods, amazing decor ideas, and live entertainment. Our coordinator Abby was extremely knowledgeable and responsive with all our needs when we started the process. From vendor recommendations to actual planning she had us fully prepared. A few months before the wedding Abby went out on maternity leave (Congrats! - we missed her!) and JDK was beyond prepared for the quick changes and handed us off to Megan. She stepped right in and made our day completely flawless along with our JDK florist Erika. Both of them were nothing but helpful, friendly, and efficient throughout the entire process and accommodated all of our needs down to every last little decor detail we envisioned for our wedding day. I was completely in awe when I saw the ballroom for the first time that day. It was more than I had ever expected. The food was absoutely delicous and we got raving reviews from guests on the food from the evening from hors-d'oeuvre's to the main meal. We still have people asking about the sauces on our salmon and filet! Service during the event was on point from timeline to cleaning up the champagne glass my dad and I managed to knock over. Zero lines at the bar and bathroom - huge plus for a wedding! JDK and their team truly represents their business well as leaders in the wedding industry. I would recommend The Bond and JDK for catering and event design. Erika the florist/event design lead from JDK was unbelievable with her decor ideas and flowers. They accommodated 220 guests along with a 10 piece band and we didn't experience any hiccups the entire day. Amazing!!!!!

The Bond was the perfect venue for our wedding reception! We had 220 guests, and the staff accommodated everyone perfectly. The bars operated efficiently, passed hors-d'oeuvre's were always available, and stationed hors-d'oeuvre's were kept full at all times. When it came time for the sit-down meal, each course was served in a timely fashion, and food perfect temperature. Most importantly, all the food was delicious. We received many compliments on the amazing quality of the food. It was obvious that the head chef and staff are committed to providing an excellent food experience. They take great pride in their craft, and it shows. The coordinating staff of Abbey, Erika, and Megan were great to work with. They were extremely organized, and eliminated all stress throughout the planning process. Attending planning meetings with them was enjoyable and exciting. We always left feeling confident that the wedding day would be perfect. Even though we knew what to expect of the ballroom, we were blown away by the final product. The flowers and decorations were amazing. The atmosphere of The Bond is great and unlike anything else in the area. I highly recommend using JDK Floral when having a wedding reception at the Bond (or anywhere else). Erika is an expert at her floral craft and decorating, and she knows The Bond better than anyone. All three of the ladies were excellent communicators and planners. We feel like we gained new friends through our planning process. Cannot express how extremely satisfied I have been with the Bond! Not only do you get a gorgeous industrial venue, but itâs also a one stop shop for catering, a florist, and Abby, who is the site coordinator. She so personable, easy to get in touch with, and adorbale! We feel so incredibly lucky to have found this spot.

Stop your venue search now and book The Bond! Not only is the venue absolutely beautiful, the food the best our guests have ever had, and the location convenient for 200+ guest list, but Abby and the JDK staff made our day a breeze from start to finish. They worked with our budget to make our wedding exactly what we wanted without breaking the bank. Cannot say enough great things about the location & the staff.

Stop your venue search now and book The Bond! Not only is the venue absolutely beautiful, the food the best our guests have ever had, and the location convenient for 200+ guest list, but Abby and the JDK staff made our day a breeze from start to finish. Nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience at The Bond with Abby and the JDK group. The space is phenomenal-we received so many compliments from our guests about how unique it was. Nothing but glowing reviews about the food, as well. Abby was very responsive throughout the planning process, answering emails most often within 24 hours. The bridal and groom suites were a huge help the day of the wedding. They made for great pictures and allowed us to prep without running into each other. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who asks!

This is a great spot! It looks and feels like you're in Brooklyn with all the industrial feel to the exposed brick walls. It has beautiful bride suite and an awesome man cave like groom's suite as well. The venue coordinator is very responsive. I had a certain vision to the style for my wedding and the venue made it possible b/c it served as an empty canvas for me to decorate it any way I wanted. Unlike the golf course club house feel, this venue has an intimate but yet very modern feel to it. You will see what I mean when you visit.

We just got married here on New Years Eve. I cannot say enough amazing things about this venue. From the very beginning, signing the contract, to every last detail...Abby helped our vision come to life. I was blown away at how beautiful the space was. The staff was amazing and the food was great!! I can't recommend this venue enough. Being from York, but living in Philadelphia now, this was the perfect atmosphere to fit our urban style. This place is amazing and I just want to do it all over again!!

The staff was amazing and the food was great!! I can't recommend this venue enough. Being from York, but living in Philadelphia now, this was the perfect atmosphere to fit our urban style. This place is amazing and I just want to do it all over again!!

As soon we walked into The Bond we knew it would be the place we said \"I do\" It was easy to fall in love with the exposed brick and gorgeous chandlers. We fell in love with The Bond as soon as we looked at it for our August wedding. Not only was the venue beautiful with the exposed brick walls and the cute bridal suite, Abby was amazing to work with! She went far beyond our expectations to make sure every detail was flawless. She was quick to answer emails and phone calls and worked with us to create the wedding we envisioned. We are so glad we chose to get married at The Bond. My husband and I feel so lucky to have had our ceremony and reception at this unique venue. The moment we saw The Bond we fell in love and knew this was where we wanted to get married. We loved the industrial feel (esp. the exposed brick, pipes and chandeliers) in the urban setting. We have had so many compliments from our guests, who loved the venue was much as we did. Not only was the venue great, but also Abby was fantastic to work with â she was extremely responsive to emails, is extremely detail oriented, and was really helpful in making our wedding vision a reality. We would highly recommend The Bond to anyone who is looking to get married in Central Pennsylvania.

A million words could not express how insanely happy we were with The Bond. Abby and her team totally exceeded our expectations. Everything was beautiful and perfect. The night before our wedding, I was having second thoughts about the linen color I had chosen, Abby did everything she could to change it for me and it was perfect. If you want a venue guests won't stop talking about, choose THE BOND!The Bond was the perfect setting for our elegant and modern wedding. Every detail (and then some) was taken care of by Abby and her team. The planning process couldn't have been simpler, and I felt assured through the entire process that we would have a picture perfect celebration. We were a bit hesitant to go with The Bond because it's a new venue, but trust me...they know their stuff! I was blown away at the attention to detail and professionalism of the staff. We've had the best comments from friends and family, some even saying it was the best wedding they've ever attended. Another great part...the free parking lot directly across from the venue. No need for guests to \"find\" city parking...it's all right there (and free!). Thank you Abby and The Bond for the best day (and best party) of our lives!

This newer venue has all you need and more to pull off your perfect industrial chic wedding. The raw beauty of the space, paired with an amazing staff made for the wedding of my dreams. There are so many great things to say about this venue, starting with the people. All of them are insanely nice and friendly, and the best part is, they are insanely good at their jobs. Abby, did an amazing job coordinating all things related to the venue. I have to say, my wedding was filled with tons of details (a lot of which I brought in) and she got it all perfectly. From the setup of the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, she was thorough, knowledgable and detail oriented. Erika- the florist. This woman is beyond talented. She not only built an insane backdrop i dreamed up but she added her own details throughout as well. If you have something specific you want, she will execute with perfection, but my advice is to give her inspiration and let her creativity take over and run free. you will not be disappointed. The Food- Fantastic. Everyone raved about it all. Originally I was a bit worried because you had to use their caterer, however, when you taste it, you wont be worried anymore. There are lots of options and the chef will also work with you to make your food everything you could imagine and more. They are also great with dietary restrictions! Some other great perks for this spot--You provide your own alcohol. Originally, I thought this was not going to be good because I had no idea how much I needed, etc. But it actually was a huge cost saver. The staff was amazing about not opening anything before it was needed and at the end we were able to return what they didnt use. We had 150 guests and an open bar for the cocktail hour and reception and ended up costing us $9/ person with top shelf liquor and craft beer. AMAZING.-on site bride and groom suites- great spaces you can hangout in before the ceremony. Only down side is there isnt a bathroom in the bridal suite, but it didnt end up being an issue at all!-Great local places around the venue to capture awesome pictures-An amazing garage door that will fulfill all drama needed for the Bride's grand entrance. Over all, the Bond is a special place and the staff is incredible to work with. You wont regret having your wedding here.

Very early on in to the engagement, my now husband and I knew that we wanted to throw this once-in-a-lifetime celebration in a very unique venue. South Central PA has a plethora of hotels, country clubs, and rustic barn settings to choose from but not much outside of that. Which is why we were ecstatic when we met with Abby Roche, who is the event coordinator for JDK Weddings at The Bond! It is just absolutely gorgeous and the perfect backdrop for those, \"think outside of the box\" couples!With JDK Weddings, you certainly get a very pleasurable, personal experience with wedding planning. This company takes great pride in the presentation and quality of the food and decor. We had a 4 course tapas style meal and were worried as to the potential size of the serving. Well, when we went for our food taste testing session, our concerns were easily quelled as the portion size was just about the same as a regular meal! We walked away with full bellies from that session!Abby was so easy to work with, as well. The Bond is a relatively new venue, as it opened its doors in May 2015, so Abby and the other folks from JDK Weddings really want this investment to succeed (and it shows). Abby was relatively responsive to her emails (as the wedding date approached she really picked up), had amazing suggestions with the table settings and over-all concept we were going for, and an easy-going, calm attitude. We had rented farmhouse tables from a local company and realized two weeks before the wedding that we ended up being one table short . Panicked, as that vendor did not have any to spare, Abby reassured that we could rent the farmhouse table JDK Weddings had from that same vendor. So we were able to maintain our soft romantic decor that was juxtaposed against the harsh industrial tone with that extra farmhouse table! Abby and The JDK Wedding Group are also very flexible, as they permitted us to leave some larger items behind for pick-up a couple days later.Come the wedding day, we received so many compliments from the guests about the venue. Given that the neighborhood that The Bond is located in, is not the greatest, Abby reassured that the side door would be locked and the gifts would be moved to inside the bridal room. They did just that. Also, the parking lot for The Bond is directly across the street with ample lighting. The guests and the bridal party felt very safe walking to the cars late at night. The ambiance inside The Bond was just beyond perfect, the servers were extremely attentive, and everything ran smoothly. Throughout the night, Abby would pop over to us, as well as our parents to check in and make sure there were no issues. There was easily enough space so that the guests were not bumping in to one another. The Bond offers two separate rooms for the bride and groom to change and relax in both before and during the celebration. The bridal room is huge with places to hang dresses, a wall with a mirror to apply makeup and do hair, as well as a mini refrigerator to keep drinks nice and cool. The bathrooms were huge and clean, while maintaining the industrial chic-look!We just cannot sing enough praises about this venue, the event coordinator, and the catering group. If you are a couple that likes to think outside of the wedding box, then this place is for you! It is a must come-and-see!
