The Box is a wedding venue with a modern and industrial feel based in Milwaukee, WI. Its blank-canvas aesthetic makes this an ideal space for couples who want to bring their own sense of style to their wedding celebrations. This urban, adaptable space is full of raw charm, and the design possibilities are endless. The venue can accommodate both ceremonies and receptions. Located in the city center and featuring an abundance of Cream City brick, The Box feels like pure Milwaukee. The open-concept floor plan, large windows, polished wood floors, and soaring ceilings create a beautiful blank canvas that to-be-weds can tailor to any vision. Whatever your taste, the building’s neutral palette will allow you and your partner to fill the space with your personality. This versatility applies to everything from catering to lighting. The Box runs its own bar service, and couples can work with the venue to customize a package that meets their needs. This contemporary, industrial space provides a beautiful backdrop for one-of-a-kind celebrations. The 3,500-square-foot space can accommodate up to 200 guests, and the venue’s skilled staff can work with you to arrange a floor layout that’s just right for your special day. Couples can hand pick every element of their celebration. However, The Box also houses a selection of recommended vendors, including caterers, florists, DJs, and lighting specialists, to assist clients with their choices. The venue can provide event planning services to help couples with the practicalities of curating their dream venue, and event staff and equipment rental are also available.

Jamie was very helpful in the beginning when we were searching for the right venue. Unfortunately Jamie had an emergency the day of our wedding, but her staff took amazing care of us! The venue looked absolutely gorgeous for our big day!

My husband and I could not be happier with choosing The Box for our reception venue. Working with Jamie was a seamless process. She was so attentive to all of my (endless!) emails and accommodated us in so many ways, to ensure that I didn't have to stress about related to our reception in any way that day. With this being a whole new experience for me, she made sure I had everything I needed and took care of everything behind the scenes. The bartenders for the venue were great, friendly and all-around fun people! I would recommend The Box in a heartbeat. Thank you so so much for providing our guests with a fabulous atmosphere to dance the night away and for making sure our wedding was something we'll never forget!Mary & Zak

Oh the Jamies! They are the best to work with. Willing to go above and beyond to ensure our wedding reception was positively flawless. Between the availability to answer all our questions, do a few walkthroughs and always timely responses they were positively wonderful. We wanted a very particular style and theme, and so our custom requests were handled wonderfully! HIGHLY recommend this beautiful space and wonderful decor and people! 😁

Jamie and Jaime were absolutely amazing and I can't even imagine our wedding having been at any other venue! We fell in love with this space from our very first visit and it was the perfect backdrop for our big day. Jaime was so helpful kept everything running smoothly all night. The layout was tailored specifically for our wedding and came out better than we could have imagined. All night our guests raved about how much they loved the downtown space! I cannot recommend The Box enough. Thank so much for an amazing experience!!

Wow- where do I even start? The Box MKE was above and beyond exceptional wedding venue. Jaime helped me create a perfect place for my day. She was extremely knowledgable and creative in creating a custom plan for my husband and I. The venue it's has so much character that we really didn't need to decorate much. Cream-city brick, hardwood floors, candles, natural light, lounge areas- I could go on and on. From start to finish The Box exceeded every expectation I had for a venue. I would highly recommend booking here!

The Box MKE is a beautiful venue in a great location and was a perfect fit for both our wedding ceremony and reception. Jamie was so fun to work with and really knows her stuff. She replied to our emails (usually within minutes, even late in the evening) and was so helpful. Pricing was fair and transparent, but more importantly, it was flexible. We could use whatever caterer we wanted, except you did have to use their bar. They have many options/add-ons, and if you didn't want theirs, you could bring your own or get them from elsewhere. I would host another event there in a heartbeat!

We absolutely loved working with Jamie and Jaime! Every time we communicated with them which was a lot leading up to the wedding day, they made us feel like we were the only couple they were working with. They were very responsive, knowledgable and understanding. Their bar staff was incredible. The entire team at The Box made our wedding day feel so special. The bar staff was quick and super friendly. I would highly recommend booking your wedding there.

The Box was exactly the place we needed for our wedding. The space actually has so much character and we had complete flexibility to set it up in a way that fit our wedding. We were able to bring in our own preferred vendors and didn't have to limit our selection to a hard set list. We were able to pay by the hour, which is wonderful because other venues had absurdly high minimums.

The venue was great and the staff was so kind. They did a wonderful job at decorating the space with the decor we brought it. It was so easy to work with them and all of the caterers we brought in. Made our day so easy! The only thing that is not so great is parking and for some reason wires got crossed and there wasn't validation for parking. Overall though, it was a great experience!

Can’t say enough about how much I loved the venue and how perfect it was for our reception of about 175 people. I’d definitely recommend this hidden gem for any Milwaukee wedding (that’s on the smaller side).

Can’t say enough about how much I loved the venue and how perfect it was for our reception of about 175 people. I’d definitely recommend this hidden gem for any Milwaukee wedding (that’s on the smaller side).

We got the opportunity to work closely with Jamie B. and Jaime L. during our wedding planning experience. They were both wonderful! We threw a late-evening, cocktail-style wedding, and I was nervous about the logistics since weddings are usually a more traditional all-day event – but they were both very knowledgeable on our style of wedding, and were seemingly always available to answer questions. They totally understood the vibe that we were going for, and knew how to handle the logistics. Jamie B. did hand off our wedding to Jaime L. without telling us, which resulted in a little confusion about a month before the wedding – but it all worked out in the end! We were in good hands either way. As an added bonus, The Box has so much of their own décor on hand that we barely needed to bring anything in to complete the look. That night, the room looked literally exactly how I had pictured in my head – amazing! The event went perfectly smoothly from start to finish. We’re so glad that we went with this venue for our big day!

As a DJ I have had the privilege of working with a lot of planners and venues all over Wisconsin and Northern Illinois for weddings. It is safe to say that the only place I would Ever not recommend is The Box MKE. Jamie was the most unprofessional planner/Manager I have ever seen. I was appalled at the way she treated both the Bride and Groom's family. Even more so the way she treaded the catering vendors. Their staff refused to clear plates off of tables after the dinner. The mother of the Groom actually started walking around clearing tables! It got so bad that my Assistant, who also happens to be my fiancé, felt the need to start clearing tables as well so the mother of the Groom didn't have to. As far as amenities there is only 1 bathroom stall for women, and one for men. There was one garbage can in the hall, and back by the bar they just put open garbage bags on the floor. Food, and garbage was falling out of them onto the floor where people were walking. If that wasn't enough, Jamie decided that she no longer wanted to deal with the complaints that she was receiving and walked out not even half way through the reception. I feel absolutely terrible that the Bride and grooms family were treated the way they were. On a day where they should be celebrating the marriage of their children they were left frustrated, and in tears because of how the management treated them. As a member of the service industry it is our job to do anything possible for the people we are working for. In the end they are our employers., and To see someone handle their their job with such disregard for their customers was disgusting. If you are looking for a venue I highly suggest you go elsewhere.

Jamie at The Box was great! She was so laid back and made our wedding ceremony into a wonderful place to be. The box offers seating and a bar that they set up. Jamie was there the day of the wedding and made sure everything went smoothly!

I'm totally \"Team J\"! When we were shopping around for a reception venue, I knew The Box MKE was IT right after the first email correspondence. They were/are so attentive, accommodating, affable! I would definitely recommend this downtown, urban-chic venue for ANY event!!

We had our wedding (both the ceremony and the reception) here and it was AMAZING! Jaime and Jamie are the best! The venue was gorgeous, everything was set up beautifully, our day of was seamless, the staff was organized, helpful, and so very kind and loving to us and all of our guests. It's a beautiful place, run by the best people, with an amazing staff. We wish we could give The Box more than 5 stars. We highly recommend The Box.

The venue was gorgeous, everything was set up beautifully, our day of was seamless, the staff was organized, helpful, and so very kind and loving to us and all of our guests. It's a beautiful place, run by the best people, with an amazing staff. We wish we could give The Box more than 5 stars. We highly recommend The Box.

The Box was perfect. They recently moved to Wisconsin Ave. Right around the corner from their previous location. It's gorgeous. It's spacious but also feels intimate. The owners are truly wonderful to work with. They have beautiful decor pieces that really brought the space together. I wanted a unique wedding venue--and this is truly what I wanted. If you're interested in a venue that's chic, but still very Milwaukee (cream city brick and all), this is your place.

Brand new space with new fixtures and a really nice style. However, I recommend it for work events, galleries, wedding, etc. mostly because the owners are amazing people and working with them is so much fun. They made our wedding better just to have them involved and made sure that every detail was customized how we wanted it.
