The Bridges Golf Club Reviews
Ashley Atwood(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-04-2022 Bridges was absolutely great as our wedding venue! Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was and how smooth everything went from the ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner. The food was delicious and a big hit! Sandy was great to work with throughout this whole process, and helped keep us on schedule with planning during the year. The day-of coordinator was super helpful and made sure our event stayed on pace. Overall, great experience and I would 100% recommend Bridges. Reviewed on 14-06-2022
TARA ALVAREZ(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-05-2022 My husband and I just had our wedding at The Bridges this past Memorial Day weekend and were SO happy with the turnout! We originally booked our wedding for 5/28/21 but postponed to 5/28/22 because of COVID. We mainly worked with Sandy and she is super responsive and professional. I found The Bridges on \"here comes the guide\" when I was filtering for \"all inclusive\" wedding venues--meaning they come with food, drinks, tables, chairs, etc. That already made wedding planning so much easier for me. The Bridges was also one of the more affordable venues we visited, which I sooo appreciate. We hired a different day-of coordinator, so they actually ran our ceremony rehearsal, but Emma from the Bridges was super friendly and professional also. She drove us around on the golfcart for all of our pictures, which was so nice!About the venue itself--it is beautiful and doesn't need too many decorations! The ceremony site is already picture perfect with the rose bushes, and the reception room is huge, with tall ceilings and 3 iron chandeliers. We ended up using two of their preferred vendors: A Loves in Bloom (florals) & Fantasy Sound Events (chandelier & custom initial light)--we were so happy with both. They are preferred vendors for a reason! We also got SO many compliments on the cocktail hour food and dinner entrees. One person told me \"best wedding food i've had\"!! We had the prime rib and salmon as our entrees and both were excellent.Thank you to The Bridges, Sandy, Emma, + the whole special events team for making our day so perfect! I can honestly say nothing went wrong the whole day (or at least I don't know about it :D)! Reviewed on 04-06-2022

The staff was very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. They were patient with us through all the pandemic uncertainties and were always available to either hop on a call or meet in person to discuss anything. The space itself was gorgeous! Not only did we have incredible views of the golf course for photos, but the ball room inside was also stunning with beautiful chandeliers and wood accents. The Bridges team made everything so easy for us and I would 10/10 recommend this venue to our family and friends! Thank you for making our wedding weekend so special and stress free!! They were always very responsive to all inquiries and the millions of questions I had during the wedding planning process. In the moment it may feel stressful meeting their somewhat strict deadlines but those deadlines are there for a purpose! Having those little details figured out earlier in the game definitely made the whole wedding process smoother. Our guests raved about the beautiful venue and thoroughly enjoyed the food as well! Planning a wedding during the pandemic was a bit of a challenge but Sandy always answered all of my questions promptly. She is very professional and you can tell she has been doing this for a long time. I have never planned a big event so it was great having Sandy to help us. Sharlette Saldana(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-11-2020 My husband and I had an intimate micro wedding at the Bridges Golf Club on 11/7/20 with 30 people. Sandy was our coordinator and Colby was our day-of event captain. They were both great. Sandy tolerated my countless questions (and was very responsive) since the day we saw the venue late August 2020. Everything was initially planned outdoors (ceremony and reception) but when we saw potential colder weather/winds/rain in the forecast and it was getting darker earlier due to daylight savings, Sandy let us change our reception to the indoor clubhouse. I'm so glad we made this decision and that it was still available to us (while Contra Costa was still in the red tier). Colby was excellent during rehearsal and day-of and she chauffeured the bridal party in the limo golf cart to different locations for photography. She helped us make sure everything ran on time. We did run a couple grand over budget since we didn't realize there was a food / beverage minimum until reading the contract, but we were able to meet the minimum after buying a few bottles of wine to take home. I don't think our big day could have gone any better. I can’t wait to get our photos and video so that we can relive our special day! The venue really was lovely and it was a beautiful day to get married. Reviewed on 19-11-2020
Rachel Alvarez(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-09-2020 We got married on 9.18.2020 at The Bridges Golf Club and we seriously could not be happier with how it turned out! Quick background: We were originally supposed to have our reception in the Clubhouse/Fireside Room. About a month after the Covid-19 shelter in place orders, Sandy (Director of Catering Sales) contacted us and gave us a choice to postpone or move the reception to the Garden Pavilion (it had not been reserved yet) to allow for more social distancing. We chose to move to the Pavilion. As our date got closer, and indoor dining was not allowed, Sandy let us know if we were to continue with moving forward for 9.18, our reception would be outdoors and our guest count would go down to 30. We let her know that we wanted to wait to make the final decision of moving outdoors til September 1 (ideally hoping indoor dining would open back up) and she was ok with that. Through the whole process, questions, and concerns, Sandy was very helpful and responded quickly. We did end up having to cut our guest count (as indoor dining still had not opened) and were allowed 50 guests at ceremony and 30 at reception. Due to this cut, our total food & beverage minimum went down. It did however make the cost/person compared with the total food/beverage minimum more expensive, but due to the circumstances, we understood. We were able to add the amazing short ribs late night snack and our guests raved about it. Due to the reception being outdoors, we worked with A Grand Affair to have tables with umbrellas for our guests. For the rehearsal ceremony and day of coordinator, we worked with Colby and she was amazing! She helped with the timing of everything and was very flexible with our storage of decorations. We didn't feel worried about anything during the day! There was even a miscommunication with our 6 inch cake and sheet cake with the delivery and staff. She contacted our baker and figured out the details right away. Colby also drove us in the golf cart to our picture destinations before our ceremony and during twilight hour. We felt so taken care of with her! It definitely was not what we had pictured our wedding to be like when we first chose & started planning with Bridges, but how it ended up was absolutely perfect for us. We would highly recommend this venue for a wedding, whether it's indoor or outdoor! Reviewed on 02-10-2020

Maria Ortiz(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-11-2019 I had my wedding November 1, 2019 at the Bridges Golf Club. All the staff were amazing every step of the way. Sandy did our tour and showed us the venue and explained everything to us in detail. The Bridges was the 2nd wedding venue we had looked at and from there we knew this was the place we wanted. Celena helped us the rest of the way with planning and making sure that everything was the way we wanted. She was very professional and kind. She answered all our questions. (We had a lot of questions all the time.) Her response time to emails was great. Jaime did our food tasting and was super helpful in helping us pick what we wanted to serve. The day of the wedding he was amazing. He made sure that my husband got to try all the passed horderves because we were taking photos. Our day of event captain, (I forgot her name) was amazing. She made sure that everything ran smoothly in the ceremony and through out the day. I would highly recommend having a wedding at the Bridges. The event space is beautiful. Reviewed on 18-11-2019
Michelle Morimoto(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-10-2019 4 stars for a wedding venue (downside is the homes in the background).5 stars for the catering (loved Jaime!).2 stars for the wedding/sales managers + less negotiable contract. The Bridges is a pretty venue (minus the homes in the background) - the clubhouse & garden pavilion are gorgeous (if only the green window/door frames were a darker brown color instead). The head chef Jaime is GREAT & super accommodating/kind/humble - both during our tasting, and also even during the wedding. He was our favorite staff at the Bridges. However, we weren't the biggest fans of the wedding/catering sales managers Sandy/Celena. The positives were: responses were quick & detailed (they are professional and do follow through- so that's a \"pro\"). However, personality-wise, we would've preferred a warmer, more genuine personality. Out of all venues we toured, they were the least enthusiastic/helpful compared to all other venues' wedding staff.. and many things in their contract are non-negotiable (where other venues are WAY more flexible). I remember being initially sad choosing Bridges over some of the other venues primarily because I enjoyed corresponding with the other venue's staff so much more. Ultimately, things worked out. The venue is beautiful, food was good, guests were happy. Just don't expect warm fuzzy enthusiasm or a ton of flexibility in creating your dream wedding when working with them. Reviewed on 11-11-2019

We enjoyed the food tasting, and working out all of our details. We were very at ease knowing The Bridges had everything taken care of.On the day of our wedding, everything was great. Everything was set up to do a flip of the fireplace room since we had the ceremony and reception in the same room. Also, they left a plate of hors d’oeuvres and glasses of champagne in the bridal room for us to enjoy immediately after the ceremony before taking photos. They even put our gifts in a safe place during the reception and had all of our toasting flutes, cake knives, and personal things packed up and ready to go for us at the end of the night. My guests have mentioned that they wish we could have heard their reactions as they walked up to the venue and had their breath taken away, but I was hiding in the bridal suite! We knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception in a venue that was beautiful enough without many decorations - and The Bridges provided that exact experience. In addition to the beauty, every staff member we worked with throughout the planning process and the day of were wonderful and great with communication. They were quick to respond and answer questions and made us feel supported and at ease. Special shoutout to our day of coordinator, Colby, who warned me about the chandelier before my bouquet toss and then promptly watched me throw it right into it! We are very happy that we chose Bridges for our wedding venue. To start with, Sandy and Celena were excellent sales people to work with. They did not try to sell us every available package, but rather they worked with us to make sure we got the wedding we wanted and were very accommodating. We emailed quite often with new questions and requests to change our order, and they were always very patient, responsive and helpful. Working with them was a very pleasant experience and made the wedding planning go much smoother. The venue itself is gorgeous. The ceremony location (the garden terrace) has a beautiful view and is very close to the clubhouse. The clubhouse itself does not require a lot of decoration, as the interior looks very nice on its own, and has great ambiance. We also enjoyed the accompanying areas, like the bar room and the balcony overlooking the golf course. The surrounding green also provides great locations for photos. Colby was our wedding day event coordinator, and she was fantastic! We met her at our ceremony rehearsal, and she was very helpful and patient to answer all of our questions about the big day. She walked us through the ceremony multiple times, and was happy to let us rehearse as many times as we needed. She was very kind and easy to work with, and was particularly good on the day of our wedding. She worked closely with our vendors to make sure our wedding timeline went as smoothly as possible. On our wedding day, she made sure to periodically check in on us to see if we were on schedule and comfortable. She even made sure we had some appetizers and champagne for ourselves before our grand entrance into the reception! The ceremony at Bridges went perfectly. We had no problems getting our own arch set up prior to the ceremony. Some of our vendors had also worked with Bridges before, which helped. Our guests really enjoyed the view and complimented us on a beautiful ceremony. The reception was so much fun! By the time we got the head table, there was champagne set out for us, and we were independently waited on by the serving staff (a nice touch). We chose to pay for the open bar, and our guests enjoyed having wine on the table and cocktails during dinner. When dinner was served, we received our food first, but we noticed that everyone received their food shortly thereafter. Everyone enjoyed their meals, as the prime rib and salmon were very tasty! The food actually exceeded my expectations, despite having gone to our free tasting.Everything following dinner, including the first dance, cake cutting, etc. went off without a hitch, and we credit the Bridges staff. Small touches, like making sure two new glasses of champagne were set out for us at the cake cutting table, made the experience so wonderful. We were even impressed with how the staff cleaned up by the end of the night, as they saved every last decoration item that we brought and returned them to us in baggies.Overall, we can’t say enough about how great the night was! Julie Leong(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-07-2017 One of the best decisions I've ever made was selecting The Bridges as my wedding venue. I got married at the Bridges on 7/21/17, and it was without a doubt the most perfect day I could have ever imagined. From the moment I toured the Bridges (the grass terrace where the ceremonies take place, and the garden pavilion where the reception takes place) I completely fell in love. I had researched about 30 venues online, saw about 6 in person, and once I saw The Bridges, I knew it was the one. It was everything I was looking for in a venue - pretty view for the ceremony, and an open space for the reception. From the first interaction I had with Sandy and her team, I was blown away by their kindness, understanding, and responsiveness. Being in the event industry myself, I know how hard it is to keep up with all of the big and little details, e-mails, dates, etc. The way that Sandy and Celena worked made it seem like my wedding was the only big event they had to work on. Being a bride, there's nothing more you can ask for. Colby was an AWESOME day-of planner, and we will never forget our tasting with sweet Sylvia. The food was amazing (all of the guests LOVED their meals). I used Peters Photography, Denon & Doyle, and Pleasanton Rentals which are all preferred vendors - they were all great to work with as well! Jennifer Kwong(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-02-2017 Outstanding amazing wedding venue!! We're so happy we went with The Bridges. Everything was perfect! We loved the venue the first day we took a look and talked to the staff. We planned for one year out and the dates were already competitive! We had our ceremony on the outdoor lawn, cocktail hour in the clubhouse and balcony space, and reception inside the large banquet hall (we did a venue buy-out). With 190 guests, it was worth it to rent the entire place! This gave us lots of space and freedom to move around and enjoy the venue. Initially we had almost chose another venue due to a better date, but so glad we didn't and stayed with The Bridges because they were the most perfect choice! The food was so good! During the food tasting, we made some notes and suggestions to alter the dishes to our liking such as less salt or more or less flavor here and there, and on the day of, they really took note of our preferences because the food came out exactly how we wanted, AND still warm from the kitchen. That's impressive. The staff is truly amazing and sincere. They go out of their way to make things happen and pay close attention to every detail. Reviewed on 26-03-2017

Karen Lee(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-11-2016 Wow, wow, wow! That is all I have to say! My husband and I got married at The Bridges Golf Club this past weekend on the day after Thanksgiving. The wedding was nothing short of magical! After searching and touring over 20 different venues, we decided to go with the Bridges because they had all the elements that were were looking for. Their prices were reasonable, the space was beautiful, and it was very convenient for our guests. We booked them over a year and a half in advance. They are quite the popular wedding venue. We had our wedding on a Friday because they threw in a lot of extra perks for Friday or Sunday weddings. Not only were the meals discounted, but they also threw in gold chargers and chivari chairs. Most other venues were charging extra fees to rent those items (~$7 per chair). We decided to do the venue buyout, which meant that we did our ceremony outside on the Garden Terrace, our cocktail hour in the Clubhouse, and the reception in the Garden Pavilion.Sandy and her team were extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process. I must have emailed Sandy once a day in the month leading up to the wedding. She usually responded the next day and answered all of my questions. On the day of the wedding, their banquet manager Silvia was there to ensure everything went smoothly. She was in constant communication with our day of coordinator and she helped orchestrate all the behind the scenes tasks. Our wedding week said it was going to rain on our wedding day and Silvia eased my fears by saying that they can always make a switch to the inside Fireside room if it did start to rain that day. Fortunately, the weather ended up being perfect and we were able to have our outside ceremony. At the end of the night, my husband and I gave her a big hug as she wished us congratulations. Overall, I would highly recommend The Bridges Golf Club to anyone because they really can make your dream wedding come true! Reviewed on 01-12-2016

Since I did not hire a wedding coordinator, it was so great to receive the stress free customer service the Bridges staff provided. As for the wedding itself, the bridal party was well taken care of. They make sure that there's a place to hide in the gift shop after the ceremony and even set out a table of hors d'oeuvres, champagne and cocktails for the groomsmen and bridesmaids after the wedding ceremony. Our guests have also expressed to us how kind the serving staff was as well! Every single little (and big) request/table/etc. I had was executed perfectly the day of. And as any planning bride knows, that is one of the anxious feelings we all have! Bridges rocked it! From the very beginning, Katie M. (catering sales manager) and Sandy T. (director of catering) were so unbelievably helpful and sweet. I’ll never forget the feeling of the first time we came to visit and how pumped up they got us! We knew it was the perfect place for our wedding, and we booked that day! The ladies took the reins from there and kept excellent communication with me throughout the next year…they made life so easy, I almost felt like I wasn’t doing anything at times! We were introduced to our day-of captain, Andi, the night before the wedding and she was amazing as well. It was impressive to us how much she knew about our wedding without being there from the beginning! I felt instantly calm after meeting her, especially knowing that the day would run in her care. The entire Bridges staff as a whole works together like a well-oiled machine! Everybody we worked with on staff was genuine, kind, and respectful at all times. That meant a lot to Travis and I. One of my favorite things about Bridges is that you could have a wedding there without even decorating at all, it is simply gorgeous on its own! Needless to say, I love bridges. Anonymous (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-07-2015 I had my wedding here Thursday July 2, 2015. After looking for venues across the bay area, it became clear that we would get the most bang for our buck with Bridges, without sacrificing quality or beauty. \r\rBridges was the only venue that offered both beautiful outdoor AND indoor ceremony options. I had noticed last year that a lot of places only offered nice outdoor ceremony locations but their indoor ceremony and reception locations were mediocre or resembled a community center space. Seeing as I'm not one to gamble on weather, I was looking for a place that had a beautiful indoor space for both the ceremony and reception. Enter Bridges. \r\rThe ceremony took place in their fireside room in front an enormous white columned fireplace with chandelier hanging overhead. The reception took place in their clubhouse (connected to the fireside room) which was equally as lovely and conveniently connected to the bar. Our guests were able to seamlessly transition from the fireside room ceremony to the bar and then dinner. We also had use of the outdoor patio throughout the event to sit back with their cocktail and overlook the beautiful golf course and hills. \r\rFor dinner we chose the beef tenderloin, wild mushroom chicken, and spinach and cheese raviolis, and side salad. While we didn't get to sample the raviolis during our tasting, we chose them based on previous yelp reviews and based on the feedback we received, they did not disappoint. We particularly enjoyed the beef and chicken and overheard a table say how awesome the beef was. \r\rKatie was our sales manager throughout the planning stages and she was always very pleasant and prompt with any questions I had. \r\rAndy was our event coordinator. She led us through our rehearsal and kept things rolling behind the scenes before and during the ceremony and reception. \r\rAll of the servers and bartenders we encountered with warm, friendly, and professional. \r\rI highly recommend Bridges if you are looking for a venue that offers a variety of gorgeous settings and tasty meals without having to take out a loan. May I also recommend a weekday wedding? The perks were awesome! You will NOT regret getting married here. Just take a tour and see. Reviewed on 15-07-2015

They were incredibly organized, flexible, responsive, pleasant and patient.\r\rI came in knowing exactly what we wanted (some call it bossy or head strong, I call it detail oriented and determined :) and everyone was very receptive and accommodating. I literally didn't worry about one thing all night which is exactly how it should be.\r\rThroughout the planning process I had a suggestion for the sales team on sending out payment reminders further in advance so the couple has ample time to prepare. The staff took this feedback to heart and implemented a change immediately. Just a small situation that shows that they listen, care and act.\r\rSome may say that the bride and groom have a different take on things since they are in a world of their own. Fair enough. But I can tell you that every one of my guests had the same rave reviews. About the service, the food, the venue and the staff. I am still getting notes from family and friends who enjoyed the evening as much as we did.\r\rI would recommend The Bridges for any event, but it really is the perfect place to host your perfect wedding day. NIKKI FERNANDO(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-09-2012 Booking our wedding at The Bridges was an excellent choice! Our event coordinator as well as day of coordinator were fantastic and such a pleasure to work with. We had a snafu with our decorator but our coordinator girls miraculously smoothed everything over as if it never existed...never showing a sweat to the bride (which I most certainly appreciated). They made my groom and I feel so important throughout the process as well as the day of. The food was delish and the scenery was one of the main reasons why we chose this location - as well as his perk of a free round of golf on their beautiful golf course. Our guests gushed over this venue for weeks! Reviewed on 23-11-2012

We had a really small wedding in the Fireside room which holds up to 50 people, I am so glad we had our wedding here as it is a beautiful facility! The food was wonderful! Sandra our main event captain was really attentative to everything during our reception. Sandy was really helpfull during my planning. The only thing I was not happy about was that they ask for $500 more to have the ceremony in the rose garden, which I think is a little too much but I was actually glad we didn't have it outside as the grass was a little wet, however we did take pictures there =) Reviewed on 13-11-2012
Megan Bowers(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-06-2012 Bridges Golf Course was the best venue. They were very accommodating and willing to do whatever I wanted to do for my wedding. They were prompt with their response, they let me bring vendors I wanted, but the vendors that they listed were FABULOUS! The staff was so nice. If you live in the East Bay and want to get married at a golf course I recommend getting married here! Reviewed on 18-10-2012
Connie Yip(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-09-2012 I'm so glad to have been able to have our big day at Bridges Golf Club!!! The event staff, led by Alicia and Sandy, were beyond helpful and friendly that it made the planning process so much easier. They were extremely helpful with providing insight to all of my questions based on their past experiences and were very understanding of last minute changes that occurred even after I provided them final numbers. Since I was one of the first of my friends to get married, I was learning a lot of things on the fly. Alicia and Sandy were very helpful in helping me navigate all of the details that I didn't even think to consider. \r\rIn addition, Molly was our event captain and she worked alongside our month-of-coordinator. Together, the team executed a flawless and gorgeous wedding for my husband and I. \r\rThe venue itself is so gorgeous that we didn't have to add too much decor to make our wedding look fantastic. We had our ceremony outside on the green and our reception in the Garden Pavilion. The ceremony site was so gorgeous with an amazing view that I only had flower petals down the aisle. The reception space was big enough to fit our 150 guests without anyone being too tight for space. \r\rLastly, the food at Bridges is delicious! Since wedding food is not typically expected to be that great, I had pretty low expectations on food. However, food was a big deal for my mom. Lucky for us, we were blown away by our tasting and were impressed that the quality of the food was consistent when the kitchen staff had to prepare 150 plates. In addition, they have a variety of options such as a mac and cheese, late night food, chocolate fountain, and such so that your guests are sure to get enough food.\r\rAll in all, I could not have imagined a better venue to have our wedding at than Bridges! Thank you Bridges! Reviewed on 09-10-2012

Gina Yoo(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-08-2012 We had our wedding reception at Bridges Golf Course 2 weeks ago and we have no regrets with the choice of the venue. It is a sunken in course with houses all around the outside. The actual building itself looks like a vintage mission. The Garden Pavillion is where we held our reception and that room is what stole us. They have iron-candle chandeliers with dark cement floors which complement each other. And the room is not too big where it looks empty with our 160 guests but can fit upto 300 max.\r\rWe started planning our wedding a year and 3 months ago. We searched high and low. All the way from San Francisco to South San Jose for a total of about 20 venues. We saw Bridges toward the beginning of our search and loved it but was skeptical because it was one of our firsts and wanted to see more before making our decision. In retrospect, we probably would've saved some time if we just booked the day we visited. \r\rWe had Alicia as our coordinator/consultant and she is absolutely amazing! All the staff was pretty extraordinary but Alicia was the one helping us throughout the whole year. She was always available for us and never said no to anything. She will always make sure and get back to us if she wasn't sure. We like \"yes\" people!\r\rThe day of our wedding was hectic of course but still went according to plan (from what we know-haven't seen pictures yet). The only critism we have is that one of the bartenders were restricting the number of drinks people could order at a time. We feel if we bought the premium beverage package and unlimited open bar for the whole night, our guests should be able to order whatever they want unless they are too inebriated.\r\rAlso, when we were tasting the food for the first time it wasn't all we thought it would be. It might have been because we were the last appointment of the day for a tasting and the food may have been left out? Not exactly sure, we had to schedule 2 more tasting after the first to confirm our changes and create a menu we were confortable with.\r\rOther than that we were very happy with the turn out of our venue and the people. Would definitely recommend Bridges to everyone! Reviewed on 30-08-2012
Angela Lin(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-08-2012 The Bridges Golf Club is a gorgeous venue especially during summer. The thing we heard most from our guests was that our venue was beautiful. However, the Bridges made a few boo-boos that cannot be overlooked. Here is my review as a bride:\rCeremony: we opted for the lawn ceremony. No regrets. Breathtaking rolling hills, summer blooming roses surrounding us, we literally needed ZERO decor for the ceremony and it looked like a million bucks. \r\rCoordination: I was honestly pretty worried about the coordination. You work with a sales director leading up to the wedding and then day-of, switch to a day-of coordinator/banquet captain/etc... This was a red flag to me: working with different people just gives room for error. However, I was pleasantly surprised with both the sales director and the day-of coordinator. Both were thorough, responded quickly, and were knowledgeable and friendly. Sandy, the sales director is thorough and fair, but I would recommend email over phone to communicate. Rachel was my day-of coordinator and she was fabulous. I have nothing but good things to say about her.\r\rReception: This is where things fell apart. We had our reception in the clubhouse. It was super cute and charming in terms of looks. Though the food was acceptable (not awesome, not terrible, but good) and the venue was beautiful, the wait staff had no idea what they were doing. They did not offer our underage guests non-alcoholic beverages as stated in the contract, they mis-proportioned our dishes, causing my guests to wonder if they were being jipped, they mixed up our entree choices, and were generally slow and unknowledgeable. I was very unhappy with their waitstaff service and extremely unhappy that my underage guests did not even have the option of sparkling cider as I had paid for. But, upon my complaint to Sandy, was offered an apology and compensation for the trouble. So, in the end, they were fair and I appreciated their honesty. Also a note: their bridal room is tiny. I would recommend a nearby hotel to get ready.\r\rAll in all: good value for the beautiful view/flexible menu/good food. Below par service from the waitstaff, but hopefully you will have a better experience. I do think their more professional service providers (coordinator, sales director) are generally apt, friendly, and helpful. In the end, I would recommend The Bridges, with a warning to make sure the waitstaff knows their duties before the day of your wedding. Reviewed on 27-08-2012

The Garden Pavillion is very spacious and very modern room. My favorite part about the garden Pavillion are the huge wrought iron candle chandeliers that hang from the celling.\r\rI primarily worked with Sandy, but at times I also worked with Alicia. These ladies are WONDERFUL!! They are helpful, organized, and have experience in the wedding department. They truly made the wedding process easy and took a lot of the work/stress out of my hands.\r\rDuring the rehearsal you meet your Event Captain. I had Molly and she was AWESOME! I went over everything I wanted done for the wedding the next day and she made sure everything was perfect. Jennifer Ramirez(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-05-2012 I recently had my wedding ceremony and reception at The Bridges. We checked a few other sites in the bay area, but in our price range, nothing could beat The Bridges. \rI was in contact with Alicia who did a great job with answering all my questions. The only hiccup is that she is not the onsite day of coordinator. She does her best to list all your details on the event order, but the 'event captain' runs the show on the day of. You don't meet this person until the rehearsal. Knowing this, I hired a day of wedding coordinator to make sure all my details were taken care of. Although, I asked The Bridges to put out my programs but it was never done :( I was promised that this was a task they would take care of.\rAll in all the grounds are amazing. Nancy Cao(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-08-2018 The Bridges Golf Club is a beautiful venue to have your wedding. The Director of Special Events, Alicia Baker is great. She is very responsive and helpful. All of our guests had an amazing time. \r\rA few minuses:\r1. During cocktail hour, since I was stuck inside the bridal room getting touched up, I was hoping to see a waiter bring a variety of h'orderves and drinks for me. \r\r2. The cake table did not have any plates or forks for us during cake cutting. I had to run to a table to grab some.\r\r3. Our waitress, Felicia, was great, however I would probably suggest for her to visit us more often. I found us having to search for her to keep our champagne glasses full for toasts with our guests as they came to visit our table. Towards the end of the evening, we just requested for her to leave the bottle at our table. \r\rThese are all minor and can be improved on by the venue and I am sure they will. Erica Fisher(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-07-2011 It was a gorgeous venue that allowed us to have the ceremony and reception at one location and since it was a good value for the cost. The wedding coordinator we worked with leading up to the wedding was such a great help and really worked with us to assure our money was used wisely. They also threw in a few extras to better suit our needs and aid with our budget. The reception room we used, the Fireside Room, fit our 111 guests very well and needed very little to decorate since it was already so eye-catching. We were also able to sample the food prior to selecting our choices and felt very welcomed and informed by their catering manager. The food was spectacular and turned out just as great the day of. Everyone was pleased with the meal and appreciated great food as opposed to flavorless wedding buffets that we've all experienced. My only reason for giving the Bridges a 4 star rating is due to the unprepared coordinator that assisted us for the rehearsal and wedding. She was very friendly and helpful but did not seem familiar with our plans and needed clarification on several items. It would have been much smoother if the Bridges had assigned the coordinator sooner that the day of the rehearsal so we could have meet the week before to run though details. This being said, I am still very happy with my experience at the Bridges and would have made the same choice again and will recommend it to others. Reviewed on 18-08-2011
