The Candlewood Inn is a waterfront wedding venue located in Brookfield, CT. Nestled along Connecticut’s largest lake, this elegant estate boasts panoramic views from every angle of the property. The inn is easily accessible from Litchfield, Fairfield, and Westchester Counties and is an exquisite gem in the Litchfield Catering Group. The event staff has more than 20 years of experience and will design a dreamy and romantic celebration for you and your partner. The western exposure of Candlewood Inn ensures a spectacular sunset backdrop on your special occasion. Vows can be exchanged out on the lawns, where the lush grass, tranquil water, and lake breezes will create an enchanting experience. A white gazebo is also available for your nuptials, or you can tie the knot on the dock, which extends out above the waves. Afterwards, enjoy cocktails al fresco on the terrace before retiring to the Ballroom for dinner and dancing. Here, eight-foot arched picture windows bathe the floor in natural light and provide stunning views of the shimmering lake. Luxurious crystal chandeliers also adorn this banquet hall and cast a warm glow over the festivities. Ahead of your wedding at Candlewood Inn, you will be assigned a dedicated coordinator and two bridal attendants. These professionals will work with you to plan your ceremony and reception and make sure everything runs smoothly. On the big day, you will have access to a private get-ready suite, where you and your wedding party can indulge in refreshments. Catering is provided in-house and comes with five hours of open bar, butler passed hors d’oeuvres, plated or buffet dinners, and a tiered cake. Table linens with matching napkins, seating and directional cards, and hurricane or votive candle centerpieces are also included. The staff is eager to help you create the perfect event and will pull out all the stops to ensure a flawless and fabulous night.

Everyone at the Candlewood Inn was phenomenal. From the moment we walked through the doors on the day of our wedding until the morning after when we came to pick up the last of our stuff they made us feel like royalty. The venue was tastefully decorated for the holidays, and the coordination of everyone was flawless. They honestly thought of everything to make sure that we had a fantastic night, and I cannot stress enough how much that helped alleviate our stress. Thank you again for an amazing wedding!

Wow- such an incredible place! My husband and I are SO pleased with our wedding. Gorgeous location, amazing service, and an incredible team to work with. We had a truly flawless day. Christian, Brooke, and Karen were amazing to work with. They really made sure everything was taken care of and ensured we had the perfect day. They seriously thought of everything! The food was delicious and the bridal suite was perfect for my bridal party and I to get ready that morning. We would recommend The Candlewood Inn 1000%.

Wow- such an incredible place! My husband and I are SO pleased with our wedding. Gorgeous location, amazing service, and an incredible team to work with. We had a truly flawless day. We got married at the Candlewood Inn in September 2023 and it was PERFECT. The staff was incredible, the food was incredible, we could not be any happier. This venue is an absolute dream. It was the second venue we saw and immediately fell in love. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to host our wedding.We had a Sunday fall wedding and myself and the bridal party stayed at the venue all day getting ready. The bridal attendants were phenomenal, tending to our every need. Brook was my day of attendant and was absolutely amazing, she was able to anticipate my every need, was always checking in on me to make sure I was okay and wasn't overwhelmed. I felt so safe and at ease with her. Plus, she is a RIOT. We were cracking jokes all day and she even through on a wig and fake mustache during our ceremony (which made for an epic photo opp).Krista the event manager is such a sweetheart. She was so easy to talk to and plan with and was a gem the day of, making sure everything was running smoothly. The day would have not been possible without her. She also came up to me thoughout the night with photo opp ideas that I would have never thought of, and made sure my husband and I were taken care of.All in all, I could rave about this venue and the staff forever. We definitly made the right choice booking here and highly recommend to everyone. The views are phenomenal, the building is gorgeous and the staff is 10/10.

Second - the food; we can’t rave enough about how fantastic the food was, how much food there was, and how we were able to get exactly what we wanted, and what our guests wanted. Third, the spot is gorgeous by a beautiful lake while still being close enough to hotels and transportation and finally - the staff. Krista, our wedding planner held our hand and made sure that all of our details were taken care of. Gina made sure our food was delicious and food crew were operating wonderfully. And Delilah and Brook made the day - as the bridal assistants, they really set the tone for the day-of experience for the couple, and their thoughtfulness, patience, support, humor, and dedication ensured I had the most perfect day. My mom was so moved by their amazing work she wrote them personal thank you cards as well! Overall - go for it. Book this spot for your wedding and you won’t regret it for a minute.

We just got married at Candlewood Inn in May and I seriously can’t recommend them enough. Great location, beautiful cocktail hour area, beautiful outdoor area, plenty of parking, and a stunning view for photo opportunities. It was my dream venue for my perfect day. Outside of the amazing location, the wedding packages are phenomenal and what sold me on this venue. Christian and Krista were amazing and so helpful and attentive throughout this entire experience. I feel like every other day I was asking them questions and they had the answers back so quickly. Gina and the bridal attendants on the day of were equally as amazing. I didn’t have to get centerpieces, table cards, sweetheart table decorations, or table numbers as this was all included. They set up everything that I brought beautifully and broke it down and packed it into my car at the end of the night. I swear I didn’t have to lift a finger the entire day. The bridal attendants were always by me or my husband making sure that we had everything we needed – drinks, food, privacy, fixing my hair or veil for photos, holding things for me, you name it, they helped me do it. Additionally, the entire team at Candlewood worked seamlessly with all of our vendors before and on the day of the wedding. If something went wrong, I never found out about it! I swear, the day could not have gone any more perfect. If you are type A like me and want to make sure that you will have absolutely nothing to worry about on the day of your wedding… choose Candlewood Inn. You get so much more than you can ask for. We can’t speak highly enough about our experience working with Candlewood both in preparation for our wedding and during the event!! Not only is this a beautiful venue set right on the water, but the team really knows what they are doing and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day. In particular, the bridal attendants Brooke and Delilah made everything so easy throughout the day for both of us - making sure we were caffeinated, fed, and always had a drink in our hand! They even followed us with a platter of passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour to make sure we didn't miss anything yummy! Food was a high priority for us and Candlewood exceeded our expectations - everything was delicious! We didn’t have a wedding planner but between Candlewood’s experience and their day of coordinator, the team made sure the entire event ran smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about anything! We would wholeheartedly recommend anyone looking for a beautiful waterfront venue to book Candlewood! We hope to go back as wedding guests some day!!

I cannot say enough about this venue and the staff in particular. The Candlewood Inn is run like a well-oiled machine, and I mean that in the absolute best way possible. Everything from the tour, to getting ready in the morning, to the ceremony, and eventually the reception was executed absolutely seamlessly. Everything about the wedding day was so incredibly organized. Even getting the quote for the cost was done with Conor and made so there wouldn't be any surprises whatsoever. Myself and my husband were particularly blown away by the attentiveness and helpfulness of the Bridal Attendants Delilah and Brooke throughout the entire day of the wedding. We we're so grateful for them and attribute so much of how smoothly our day went to them. The scenery and setting of the venue in and of itself is a wonderful reason to book with them, but the food was excellent, and the staff is what made our experience so incredibly and overwhelmingly positive. Everyone at the Candlewood Inn made our wedding dreams come to life, and we could not be more grateful.

The Candlewood Inn is a gorgeous venue with a super professional team. The staff made wedding planning easy and the food and service was absolutely amazing. Conor and Christian were wonderful to coordinate with on the overall planning leading up to our wedding day and the team that worked our wedding made sure that everything was on time and all our needs were well taken care of. Delilah and Brooke were the most amazing bridal attendants. They made me feel like a princess and made us all feel so comfortable. I could not have asked for a more perfect day or a more perfect sunset on the lake!

Every single one of our vendors was FANTASTIC, but the best decision we made was booking our wedding at the Candlewood Inn. The team of people they have working there go above and beyond to make this the best day of your lives. I can't say enough about how gorgeous the venue is, the incredible team and the delicious food. From the first moment we saw the view to speaking with Conor, my husband and I knew this would be an amazing wedding, but the day truly exceeded our expectations. We can't thank Conor, Christian and the entire team enough for best experience and beyond perfect day!!!

We can’t say enough about the team at Candlewood Inn! If we could give them more stars we would. We had our reception on 09.24.22 there and everything was absolutely perfect. The staff was attentive, food was out of this world good and really felt like everyone went above and beyond to make the day perfect. We are still receiving compliments on the day and wish we could do it all over again. From the moment we looked we knew our day would be more then we could ever dream of. Would highly recommend them, really can’t imagine our day anywhere else !

SIMPLY PERFECT!This venue and their staff were absolutely incredible, accommodating, and professional every step of the way. We were originally going to get married at Candlewood Inn's sister venue, The Fox Hill Inn. However, when they closed, we were scrambling to find a place just as beautiful and close by. Fortunately, Linda Franco was able to transfer our contract over to the STUNNING Candlewood Inn, and our stress melted away! We knew we were in great hands!!For the majority of our wedding preparations, we dealt with Conor and Christian. They are such sweet people who truly want you to have the best day ever. At our 'drop-off' meeting a few days before the wedding, I met with our day-of wedding coordinator, Gina. She was SO nice and excited to help us in any way she could. Gina even ran our rehearsal the day prior. The day of the wedding, I couldn't believe how EASY it was! Literally everything was handled, and I didn't have to think or worry about anything. From the time I walked off the shuttle, Delilah and Brooke took care of it all!! They both assisted me off the shuttle, carried my train, and walked me upstairs to the newly renovated bridal suite. That was when the fun began! I was handed champagne and was constantly looked after. The Candlewood Inn team truly goes above and beyond any of my expectations!! Even my bridal party was amazed. Throughout the entire night, Brooke and Delilah made sure there was always a drink in my hand, bustled my dress, fixed my veil, and made sure I ate :)The food = AMAZING. Cocktail hour really was a hit!! For our entrees, we got the sampler platter - you cannot go wrong. Everything was mouthwatering! The best though... was the Venetian table and espresso bar. Let me tell you, guests were SO impressed with the Venetian table. It was some of the best pastries I've ever tasted! Overall, it makes me so incredibly lucky to say I got married at The Candlewood Inn <3

The Candlewood Inn is the PERFECT wedding venue. The views are incredible, and the staff is even more amazing. I thought that my wedding party would have work to do (carrying my train, doing the bustle, etc.) but the bridal attendants handled EVERYTHING. Every single staff member went above and beyond at making sure that the bridal party/family had NO work to do. They even loaded and unloaded the items from our cars. The food was delicious, especially the cake. I cannot recommend them enough.

If you are thinking about booking with Candlewood you should absolutely do it. We could not have asked for a better venue. First off, it is absolutely gorgeous. We haven’t gotten all our photos back yet but the view of the lake is amazing. All of the staff that you work with from booking your date to the bridal attendants on your wedding are the best. They are so helpful and will answer all questions. The day of our event everything ran so smoothly and there were zero issues. We received so many compliments on the food, the desert table and our late night snack. As far as budget. We found that Candlewood was middle of the road for venues in the Hudson valley, but felt the level of service was worth it. We could not have had a better venue.

I can't even begin to express how pleased my husband and I were with our wedding experience at The Candlewood Inn. From our initial visit, to our final farewell on our wedding night, every aspect completely exceeded our expectations. Conor, Christian and the entire team were not only accommodating and on top of every single detail, but they truly made you feel like your wedding day was the most important thing to them and our happiness was their main priority.Every question or concern we had during the planning process was addressed quickly and thoroughly. There was always constant communication and I felt at ease through the many planning stages.There was also nothing that the team didn't have a plan for. The day of our wedding, a rainstorm decided to make its debut right before our outdoor ceremony. Before I could even dwell on the disappointment of this, the team jumped into action, pushing back the ceremony just a bit, tracking the storm, keeping our guests comfortable and ultimately making our outdoor experience a total success.The bridal attendants were nothing short of amazing, as well. They constantly made sure that I had what I needed, bringing me snacks, water, Advil, you name it! Christian was absolutely amazing during our meetings and he was beyond all our expectations during our special day. Everything went smooth and we look back on a perfect day. We had million of complements about the staff and food during the wedding (both were simply incredible). This place deserves a 10-star review, especially with their renovated interior (you HAVE to book the bridal suite upstairs to get ready in, my bridesmaids were blown away + the snacks and mimosas were to die for). The bridal attendants were amazing, holding my drink, my veil, my dress, making sure both my husband and I always had something to drink. We felt like royals! We already know where we'll be doing our vow renewal haha!1000% recommend this place!

When my husband and I were visiting venues and drove to Candlewood Inn there was a mutual feeling after visiting that they were our perfect venue for our special day. After meeting Conor we knew that not only was it a heavily view venue inside and out but the people who represent it were too! Planning along with them was a breeze! Especially when choosing food with Christian a cook at heart who helped us in deciding the right dishes. When the special day came I envisioned a magical day and it was just that and then some! The staff were always there to help! My assistant Gina welcomed me right from the car, helped me at every turn from when my vail was falling out to helping carry my ladies jackets during pictures, you name it she did it! Every staff member I met I loved! The food we chose even turned out amazing, people can't stop talking about it! After a stunning wedding with so many amazing memories made we knew we had made the right decision. Candlewood is a beautiful venue not just for the gorgeous setting on the lake but also for the people who open its doors. They are the hardest workers, immensely passionate about what they do, genuine, and such amazing people. I cannot thank them enough for making our wedding so breathtakingly perfect in every way. We were blessed from the day we booked they were professional and on top of every detail very accommodating. The staff was fantastic and saw that every need was taken care of to the fullest our 2 bridal attendants in the bridal suite were so attentive and thoughtful I recommend the suite for the whole day well worth it.My husband is not in good health and they saw to it he was comfortable.The food from the cocktail hour to the main course was off the charts the Viennese table was unbelievable they bake their own desserts and they were so fresh and delish. Ordering the extra food for the cocktail hour was well worth it.My guests were happy and I recommend this venue highly best decision ever

My wedding was in October of 2021. From the first phone call to my wedding day Conor, Christian, and Kirsten were so helpful and responsive with all of my needs/requests, especially with the ever changing restrictions from COVID 19. The day of my wedding my two bridal attendants were amazing!! Everyone moment getting ready for first look I had someone holding the train of my dress, my bouquet or ready to hold my drink! One wrapped my bouquet in blue ribbon as my something blue last minute. Christian and Kirsten were super efficient on timing for the ceremony with potential rain coming in, we ended the ceremony with minutes to spare! They were helpful getting everyone in line and reminding everyone of their positions. The outside ceremony was everything I dreamed on the lake and the dock was the perfect spot for my first look! The bridal suite was so spacious and loved that they brought me my own plate of appetizers after the ceremony! The food was hot and delicious!! I had so many people tell me after the wedding that was the best salmon or filet they have ever had! The champagne they served so was good, I ended up drinking that for the whole night instead of my sigurate drink. Everything was stress free and amazing about my preparation for the day of and my wedding experience in general from Candlewood!

Planning a wedding can be stressful. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is even more, ridiculously stressful and frustrating. However, we made it happen and this is 100% a testament to how amazing the Candlewood Inn was to make our magical days (yes plural) a reality.We locked in our wedding date in March 2020 literally a day before a global pandemic was announced and all our lives changed forever. Conor and Cristian were absolutely amazing, patient, and strategic throughout the process. Things eased up in May 2021 when we originally decided to do our small and intimate Ceremony. We decided to push our Reception to New Year’s Eve 2021. This became a logistical nightmare due to booking vendors twice and battling Omicron infections.Somehow someway we managed to still hold the Reception with the friends and family that could attend. And, the day that easily could’ve been a disaster turned out to be an amazing evening.We simply cannot thank the staff enough for working through all the changes, state and federal mandates, last minute requests, and still managing to make our days truly special. We highly recommend Candlewood not only because of the amazing staff and GMs, but the location is gorgeous and food is AMAZING!!!Best of luck to all the folks out there planning a wedding in the midst of this situation. Our journey took so many twists due to Covid, and Conor was wonderfully supportive, thoughtful and helpful without fail. Once we actually got closer, Christian and team were helpful, excited and flexible as we worked together to plan the day. The day itself was perfect- not a detail overlooked or a flaw in the house. The food was incredible (we hadn't tried it until that day) and the cake exquisite. Choosing the Candlewood Inn for our wedding was the best decision we made and I could not be happier. The team there is really a special group of people.

Our journey took so many twists due to Covid, and Conor was wonderfully supportive, thoughtful and helpful without fail. Once we actually got closer, Christian and team were helpful, excited and flexible as we worked together to plan the day. The day itself was perfect- not a detail overlooked or a flaw in the house. I don't even know where to begin to review the Candlewood Inn because our wedding day celebration was absolutely perfect. The setting was beautiful and the food was delicious, but it was really the staff that made our event so special. From the moment we met with Conor two years ago, we felt like we were in the hands of people who truly cared about us and cared about making our wedding celebration magical. Christian and Kirsten were so responsive and helpful in the entire planning process, and of course, on the day of.Speaking of the day of, our bridal attendants, Delilah and Gina, were incredible! They were so attentive and thoughtful and made the entire day (from our 10 am arrival to our 12:30 am departure) run seamlessly. They were one step ahead of us while we were getting ready, bringing us things we didn't know we needed until they brought them. They were there for me, my girls, Max, and his boys every moment and it did not go unnoticed.I can not get over how easy it was to plan a wedding at the Candlewood Inn. From our drop-off appointment to loading up the car at the end of the night, everything ran like a well-oiled machine and made the wedding day itself go perfectly. I'm honestly so sad that the wedding is over and I just keep saying to Max, \"why would anyone get married anywhere else??\".I know I glossed over the setting and the food in the beginning, but those aspects of the wedding were obviously also amazing. The lake and the gazebo are truly a beautiful backdrop to get married in front of, and the venue inside is equally as stunning.The food was outstanding. Everybody LOVED the New England station and the gelato station, as well as their dinner. We've received a ton of compliments on how great all of the food was; many have said it's the best wedding food they've had.So many of our guests have told us that our wedding was the best wedding they've ever attended, and I'd have to (with bias, of course), agree. It was a perfect event from start to finish. I highly highly recommend!!

The Candlewood Inn exceeded every expectation for our wedding. Myself and my husband, along with our families, truly cannot recommend the Candlewood Inn enough as a wedding reception venue. Every detail of the day was absolutely perfect. The booking process was so easy. After one tour we were sold, but Connor really worked with us to gain our business. She was so kind and responsive during the booking process. After booking, our planning process and meeting with Christian was so responsive and he listened to every detail that we said. Every image we had for the day, he made it happen. The staff was so attentive to the bridal party and our parents, continuously checking in with us to see what we needed. When we arrived for photos, we were there about an hour and a Half before cocktail hour began. The staff dove right into waiting on us, providing food and drinks while we took our photos, and attending to every detail. Christian, Kirsten, and Becca were AMAZING. Throughout the night the bridal attendants (Kirsten and Becca) continued to be completely stellar. The rest of the guests were attended to by lovely staff with a smile on their face and a wonderful, positive, welcoming attitude. The details were coordinated perfectly and we had absolutely no hiccups or worries (and if there were Christian, Becca, and Kirsten made sure to take care of them before we even noticed..they were that good!). They did not miss a beat. It was a seamless operation that was reflective of the high quality they hold themselves to as a venue.We were a bit nervous, because of COVID we were not able to do a food tasting, but let me tell you...the food was worth the wait. Every appetizer was better than the last and people were absolutely raving about the pass appetizer, cheese station, pasta, and meat carving stations at cocktail hour. The entrees were equally as amazing. The cake was fantastic!!!! I have never seen so many guests eat wedding cake before at a wedding and myself and my husband wanted seconds. It was truly great food. The venue itself was gorgeous!! The outdoor space was well maintained with lush, healthy flowers and grass adding a beautiful and colorful contrast to the lake. Inside was freshly re-done and completely stunning. Every detail from the crystal chandeliers, white clean chairs, beautiful tables, new rug, huge dance floor, and all the space itself was perfect.

Our wedding could not have been more perfect. Let me start off by saying I have always wanted to get married at the Candlewood Inn since I was younger! My parents and I would pass by on the boat and I would point and say I am going to get married there one day! Sure enough we did and it absolutely exceeded my expectations!!! Being a COVID Bride and planning our 2020 wedding it was pretty heartbreaking when we heard we had to reschedule. The entire staff at the Candlewood Inn, especially Christian and Conor, made the transition and moving our date into 2021 much Less stressful. I know I must’ve called them 1 million times with a ton of questions but they always got back to me within the same day! when our wedding day finally came it couldn’t have been more perfect! Besides having a stunning location their food was absolutely incredible. We have had almost ever single guest come up to us and tell us it was THE BEST food they have ever had at a wedding. The day of staff and bridal attendants were so helpful and I couldn’t be more grateful for the reminders to make sure I ate my food (lol). I wish they day never had to end. Conor was a great point person throughout, and Christian was the best planner/event coordinator I could have had! The whole team went above and beyond to ensure I had the wedding of my dreams -- even waiting until the last second to monitor the weather and make sure I could have my outdoor ceremony. They constantly took care of my husband and I, bringing us food and drinks to make sure we stayed refreshed between all the pictures, greeting guests, and dancing. I have nothing but Highest Praise for Connor, Christian and Kirsten and the whole staff at Candlewood. My daughter had a Vow Renewal and Wedding Celebration Friday, June 25th in the evening. The view, the food, the service was TOP Notch. No detail is overlooked. We had Bridal attendants (2) through the night; I was able to drop items off early and Christian and staff set everything up for us. Appetizers, drinks, champagne were all brought up to the bridal suite (which is gorgeous - even has huge mirror and chandelier) It was a little slice of heaven!! Every detail and every expectation was met!!! It was everything we dreamed of and more. Our guests were so impressed!!! The food they raved about and they never saw a prettier site!! The gazebo on the Lake with mountains and gorgeous sunset, a light breeze - it was magic. Appetizers were unbelievable - crab cakes, shrimp tempura, we had Antipasti table (top notch) rave reviews on goat cheese app as well - all served on a silver tray and Hot! Dinner filet was moist and tender- generous portions and everything was again perfectly cooked and delicious; gelato, chocolate fountain, strawberries, cookies and coffee on the way out - There was nothing that was missed. It was beyond my expectations (which I set very high) - I can honestly say it was the Wedding I always dreamed of giving our beautiful daughter. If only I could share the amazing pictures. SIMPLY THE BEST!! So many guests told us it was Ove rthe Top - the Best Wedding they ever attended. I was so happy Chelsea picked Candlewood Inn - we were very proud parents!

I’m very disappointed in how the CFO is handling August 2020 brides. After rescheduling my wedding twice due to COVID, Candlewood Inn is now refusing to host my reception unless Lamont allows 100 people inside, because it’s not worth it financially to hold an event for 50 people. It’s very disheartening to be told your wedding is not worth it. Christian has been AMAZING since I started with him last year, and is the only reason I’m giving the venue 2 stars instead of 1. I’m hoping all of this will be resolved, and I will be able to write a positive review, but for now I need to warn future couples that even if the managers are great, the CFO of the Fairfield Catering Group only has his bottom line in mind.

I just got married and our reception was at the Candlewood Inn and I can’t say enough at how amazing the event and the staff were. From the second we pulled in to the time we left, everyone was extremely professional and helpful to make this the best day ever. We had a large party close to 230 and a cold day so everyone was inside the whole time. They handled it with ease and kept everything moving despite the large demand. It was the best decision we made next to the “I do”!

We had our wedding at Candlewood Inn on September 27, 2019 and we could not be happier with the experience from start to finish. We knew we were at the right venue the minute we stepped out of the car for our initial meeting. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the waterfront setting is spectacular. Even on a cloudy or snowy day the setting is unmatched. We initially booked with Filmonea who explained all the details with us and was extremely pleasant to work with. Christian, the event coordinator, met with us after to help us choose table settings, wines for the table, etc. He communicated with us throughout the months leading up to our wedding. On the day of, he was present throughout the event to make sure everything ran smoothly. He checked in with us frequently and met our every need. He truly was a pleasure to work with from initial planning to the final event. Kirsten, the administrative coordinator, helped us tremendously in the final weeks leading up to our wedding. She was quick to answer any questions we had via email or phone. She also met with us the week of our wedding, so we could finalize exactly how we wanted to the room set up with our various decorative items. Christina and Sabrina were assigned as our personal attendants on the day of the wedding. To say they were excellent is an extreme understatement. Both helped to bustle both my and my mom’s dresses, they made sure my husband and I always had a drink (even before we finished the first!), and had appetizers waiting for us following our ceremony both on the lawn during pictures and in the wedding party suite. They both checked in with us regularly to be sure we had everything we needed. Mario was also ever present during our event. He helped guide us prior to the ceremony and made through everything ran smoothly throughout the night. It was a pleasure to work with him. Aside from the superb staff, the food was incredible. From appetizers to main dishes, everything was absolutely delicious. We continue to get compliments. My husband and I continue to talk about how seamless the night was. We did not have to worry about a thing as the entire Candlewood Inn staff took care of every detail. We couldn’t be more pleased with how our wedding went. It was a night to remember and we cannot thank the entire team at Candlewood Inn enough for their services.

We searched extensively for a reception venue that would be not only beautiful, but top notch quality and service. We found all of that and more at the Candlewood Inn. Christian and the bridal attendants and assistants were amazing. They ensured we were fed throughout photos and the cocktail hour, refreshed with drinks and water, and even carried a small table around with us with food and drinks during the family photos. They were amazing with helping to carry my train, bustle the dress with my sisters and positioning the train for numerous photos. We felt 100% taken care of throughout the reception, as they were there to check on us and make sure we were fed and happy with our dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. Our guests raved about the new england seafood station and shrimp cocktail station, the hors d'oeuvres, and main entrees. The cake was SO good, and beautifully presented, and the cookie/pastry trays were a perfect touch for after dinner! We lucked out with a great weather, and everyone was loving the venue setting on the lake. This place is beautiful, and will be the perfect spot for anyone looking for a picturesque wedding. We had our wedding at the Candlewood Inn in April and we could not have picked a better place to get married and celebrate. Christian and the entire staff, from the office personnel to the 2 personal attendants, to the staff that is serving and helping our guests, were all top notch!! We have family members that are in/have been in the restaurant business and/or wedding business and they ARE STILL telling us (in July) how impressed they were with the Candlewood Inn and how spectacular it was. “We know this business and they are very impressive.” First of all, the views alone are insane! The food is the best! Best filet minion we’ve ever had, everyone was raving about the food...from the chicken to salmon and the filet. Then, we did the Viennese dessert table!! OMG!! The presentation is jaw-dropping (our photographer kept taking pictures bc it was so impressive), and our guests absolutely had a blast with all of the choices and cool dessert items they served! The cake is delicious—they have their own bakery! Beautiful choices for designs and they’ll do anything you want. The pre-wedding champagne is the best champagne we’ve ever had and our wedding party will attest. The personalized service from our first meeting, to showing our parents, to working with them over the months leading up to it, working with our vendors, and finally on our big day, is TOP NOTCH! You’re treated like family and someone they really care about serving. PLUS, at the end of the night, when no one feels like packing up the decorations, the staff packed up everything for us—from center pieces, to flowers, to guest book, to pictures we had put out, wooden signs we had made, everything was done for us, we just had to tell them which car and they put the items, all secured, where we wanted them to go. We looked at a lot of places, there isn’t another place that will compete with Candlewood in all of these categories! We can’t wait to go to weddings there bc we absolutely love them!!

From the beautiful ambiance of the venue, the mouthwatering food, and the extremely professional and attentive staff, we truly couldn't have asked for a better wedding experience. We felt like we were in good hands from the beginning of the planning process to finalizing every last minute detail that went into our big day, so we couldn't recommend this venue highly enough. We had our wedding at The Candlewood Inn about two weeks ago, and I'm still getting compliments from family and friends about how amazing the entire night was! From the beautiful ambiance of the venue, the mouthwatering food, and the extremely professional and attentive staff, we truly couldn't have asked for a better wedding experience. We felt like we were in good hands from the beginning of the planning process to finalizing every last minute detail that went into our big day, so we couldn't recommend this venue highly enough. I actually help plan events as part of my job, so it can take a lot to impress me, but I can honestly say they are absolute pros at making an event run smoothly. Thanks again to the whole Candlewood team for helping us throw a dream wedding we'll remember forever!

The staff was excellent at coordinating all of our ideas, and helped to make our wedding day flow smoothly. The guests raved about the filet mignon and appetizers, such as the Mac and cheese bites. My favorite moment of the night was when all of the guests congregated to the lawn to take pictures of the gorgeous sunset, that's when I knew we nailed it with picking the perfect venue for our day. They are there to tell you exactly what to expect and when to expect it; as well as taking your belongings, escorting you to the bridal suite and making sure you're fed--and that's just the first 10 minutes!! We were very fortunate to have amazing weather during our ceremony which captured the beautiful views of the lake. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. Christian is a very relaxed, easy-going guy who knows how to run a show. Thank you Candlewood Inn for a truly memorable experience.

We celebrated our wedding day in early December 2017, and although the venue is known as a premier location for outdoor weddings, we were blown away by the holiday décor and beautiful cozy ambience of a winter wedding. The staff at the Candlewood Inn makes wedding planning a breeze due to their expertise in event planning. We dropped off all our decorations and personal touches a few days before the wedding, thinking that some of our bridal party would need to set up a few of the bigger items, however the team at Candlewood did it all for us. Christian and team go above an beyond the day of the wedding to make sure that all plans are executed to perfection, the bride and groom are fed, and gifts are secure. We had 4 staff members available for help and for service the whole day. All the food was excellent. Plus we loved that the dance floor is huge and accommodated so many of our guests. Many family members and friends have told us that our wedding was one of the best they have ever attended. Thank you Candlewood Inn!

I recently got married in June, and The Candlewood Inn made my experience so unforgettable. The whole staff, especially Christian were completely professional and helpful from day 1 with wedding planning. The first time we met he even gave us some sample cake slices to take home that someone had left...we were so excited to try so many cakes! And even with not so great weather and a ton of Danbury traffic, they created a perfect day for us. My guests complimented on how beautiful the ceremony was, even inside. They were able to transform the room from ceremony to reception with no problem. The food they provided was phenomenal, there were so many rave reviews from our guests, and our cake was incredible! A simple funfetti with cream cheese filling, everyone LOVED it! We also decided to have one of their exit stations as our guest favors...we chose the fabulous \"cookie jar.\" We knew people were appreciative of some to-go cookies just by how little cookies were left by the end of our wedding. It was definitely a great favor idea. I can't say enough great things about Candlewood. The staff, the food, the service, the scenery, the atmosphere...I wish we had been able to party there all night long! They are an absolutely wonderful wedding venue.

We are so thrilled that we picked the Candlewood Inn for our reception. From the moment they opened the limo door and we stepped out, Christian and the gang were by our side. They went above and beyond--asking us what they could get us, bringing out appetizers and drinks while we were taking pictures and even bustling my dress for me!! We left a roll of extra tulle at the venue that we didn't know how to use and they tied it into beautiful bows on the bathroom stall doors!! They went above and beyond and the reception was absolutely everything that we hoped it would be. We had a little mishap with seating and Christian fixed it almost instantly and absolutely seamlessly. Besides being a stunning venue, the service is what really made our wedding day spectacular. They even asked us when we wanted them to serve our food so that it wouldn't get cold when we were going around to our family and friends. This phenomenal service and stunning venue made our day absolutely perfect and we are so thankful that we chose the Candlewood Inn!!!

My daughter and her wife were married Sun, 6/25/17 at The Candlewood Inn. It was an amazing, perfect and truly magical day thanks to the Inn and their remarkable staff. My daughter picked the venue because they wanted to get married on the water. They chose 4:30 pm because they wanted a sunset. The day was initially rainy but cleared beautifully and it was clear blue skies, warmth and gorgeous sunsets for the wedding. Christian and the staff were amazing. Christian kept everything running right on time and made sure everyone knew where they should be and what they should be doing. The entire event ran on time. The staff was remarkably attentive. I learned the next day that they were constantly there with the girls and the wedding party offering water and food. They felt so taken care of. They didn't expect that extra level of care and attentiveness and they truly appreciated it. The food....AMAZING and delicious. We got so many comments and compliments throughout the evening. Everything was outstanding and there was so much of it. The appetizers were plentiful and delicious. The bar was extremely organized and well run. I heard from friends that they never had to wait for a drink. I kept hearing the filet could be cut \"with a butter knife\". They chose cupcakes for dessert and they were outstanding, especially the chocolate with filling. I must say it was wonderful to hear how good the food was. We did a grilled cheese station at the end of the evening which we also loved. Many people apparently were given sandwiches to go which was greatly appreciated. The scenery...I don't even know what to say. The back drop for the pictures was just amazing. I know we had no control over the weather but to have it turn out the way it did was spectacular. Everyone commented how beautiful the lake and dock and gazebo were. Airen Miller photographer worked hard and I cannot wait to see the finished product. In closing Christian and the staff were just amazing and so incredibly attentive. They were everywhere making sure the girls and wedding party were well cared for. They made a special day that much more special. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone. I am so grateful for all of their help making this a very special and memorable day. If I could I would give them many , many more stars.

Candlewood Inn is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Connecticut. The outdoor ceremony area with gazebo looking out on the lake was absolutely perfect. There was a chance of rain on our wedding day, and the indoor option with the same view would have been perfect had we needed to hold the ceremony indoors. Christian, our coordinator, and the staff at The Candlewood Inn made everything from planning to the actual day run smoothly. Everything was set up perfectly. They took the time to understand how exactly we wanted things to be displayed and double checked with us when they weren’t sure. The attendants did a great job of making sure our every need was taken care of the day of the wedding. We were kept aware of when events were going to take place, and they ensured that we had plenty to eat and drink throughout the day. The food was excellent, from hors d’oeuvres to entrees to the cake were perfectly prepared and presented. The day ended with the staff packing up all of our stuff and loading it into the car, so we had not a single thing to worry about. We would recommend The Candlewood Inn to anyone looking for a wedding venue!

When my husband and I got engaged, which happened on a Friday. That Saturday, we went took a look at The Candlewood Inn. I instantly fell in love, I have always the beauty of the lake and getting the chance to be married near the water was always a dream,. We met with Filomena first, and she answered we may have had. Then we got to meet with Christian, and through every step of the journey to our wedding day, he was extremely helpful and made sure that we were happy with everything. He was there every step of the way. Daniel and I couldn't have asked for a better venue. We are extremely happy with everything and it will be a day that we will remember forever.

If I could give a 10 gold star rating to the Candlewood Inn I would - and then some. From the moment we looked at the Candlewood Inn for our July 2016 wedding we were treated like royalty. Once we made our decision, the staff Philomena and Christian did everything to make our day a success and to make it our own. The service provided was exemplary! We did our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on the grounds. The personal attendants, the wait staff, bartenders all were professional, helpful, courteous, and genuinely fun! We enjoyed the day, our guests enjoyed the day.The atmosphere was clean, elegant, and exactly as I had hoped. The food from the hors d'oeuvres through the main meal and wedding cake - all beyond compare. Even months after the wedding people are still talking about the food and the cake.Our every request was met with immediate action. No complaints from this wedding - wish we could do it again - just for fun!

We were married on 9/4/16. From the moment we booked, Christian and the staff at Candlewood Inn were extremely attentive to our every question, request and need. You would think for a place the does hundreds of weddings a year that they would be less personal with you. Our experience was the complete opposite. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel special and heard. We were a little nervous about not being able to do a full menu tasting but did go to a wedding expo they hosted and tried all the apps. We were very impressed. Thankfully, every single person at our wedding raved about the food - especially the raw bar and the filet mignon. It is not easy to cook filet to temperature for a large group and they nailed it! I cannot, absolutely cannot say enough of the bridal attendants that helped Christian the day of our wedding. Our drinks were never empty, our bellies were never hungry, and they were a step ahead of us the entire night. I am so thankful to them and know the evening would not have been the same without their help.We had about 220 guests and the room did not feel crowded and the bartenders were amazing - there was never a line. At the end of the night, the staff packed up all of our decorations and extras so neatly and carefully into our car so we did not need to worry about a thing! Highly highly recommend this venue and staff. The view is an added amazing bonus but the real gem is the service!!

We picked Candlewood for the view, but we quickly fell in love with how attentive the staff was to our dream wedding. Everything we requested, we were given. Christian was great to work with, and a big help during the wedding planning process. The day of the wedding was awesome. We had staff on us all night making sure we had drinks and food. Candlewood Inn made our dream come true with our beautiful wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better venue. We would recommend them to anyone!
