The Canton Barn is a wedding venue in Canton, SD. Located only a short drive from Sioux Falls, this historic barn seems to stand as a symbol of love's ability to transcend time. Big hearts and caring hands built this place more than 100 years ago, and today, big hearts and caring hands continue to sustain it. Today, it boasts all the comforts and conveniences a modern couple could wish for, but it retains, at its center, all of its original warmth and charm. The Canton Barn team invites you and your loved ones to come and enjoy a day of joy and celebration in a place unlike any other. The Canton Barn comprises both indoor and outdoor event areas. The barn loft can seat up to 300 guests and features a soaring, 29-foot-high ceiling and a lovely dressing suite. The barn's main level provides additional seating for up to 50 people. The property also features a gazebo and a large covered patio, perfect if you're looking for a picturesque outdoor setting for your wedding ceremony. The Canton Barn is available for engagement parties, showers, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and receptions, and its facilities make it a great choice no matter the season. The venue's dedicated and experienced events team would be more than happy to provide you with a list of approved vendors that includes talented planners, photographers, caterers, florists, entertainers, hair and makeup artists, and more. Bar and shuttle bus services are also available. Their team will strive to make your day extra special, and they look forward to hearing from you soon.

Stop! If you are looking for a wedding venue with charm, lots of character and that rustic feel all rolled into one place, you've found it! Add in the owners, Tim and Kalli (aka your very own fairy godparents) who will do anything they can to make your vision of your dream day come true and what else could you want? When we first visited the Canton Barn with our daughter, Brooke and soon to be Son-in-law, Matt, my husband and I fell in love with it just as much as they did! So, from the girls getting ready upstairs in the Bridal suite area, to the outdoor ceremony at the gazebo, to the Beautiful upstairs reception area to the downstairs \"party on the dance floor\" area you and your guests don't need to leave because it's ALL here!! A picturesque, authentic, over 100 year old Barn that is multi-level to give you so many different ways of creating your own special day...then throw in some Blue skies in May, birds singing, a soft breeze and the midwest nature at it's finest..oh my! Not to forget Tim and Kalli's little touches (the Marine Corps flag, the beautiful flowers, new cushions in the patio area, the champagne & gifts for the couple, etc.!!) and a staff that truly wants you to be happy and helps you out from start to finish We can't say enough about this place and the people (now our new friends!!) who run it! Look for yourselves.. once you walk in those front doors it won't take you long to know this \"little\" Barn in the Midwest truly has it all! Thank you all so much for your hand in making Brooke & Matt's wedding day definitely \"The Best Day Ever\"!!!! from the Parents of the Bride :)

Tim and Kalli were absolutely amazing to work with as well as their staff. Whenever I had questions I got responses in a very timely manner. We got so many compliments on the venue. It is truly a beautiful space. Kalli and Tim strive to make your day, your day and we felt it. They worked very well with our wedding planner and all of our vendors. Not only is this place truly beautiful, the whole Canton Barn team was fun and easy to work with. Reid and I's day was a dream, and it will go down as one of the best days of our lives. The Barn will hold a special place in our hearts forever!

We loved our experience with The Canton Barn. My now husband and I were one of the first couples to look at and book this venue. In fact, we saw the barn before they started construction and restoring this barn. The barn is 100 years old, the restoration and woodwork throughout is spectacular. It’s very unique to say you had your wedding in a historic old barn. The best part about this venue are the owners, Tim and Kalli. They made sure our day was everything we had imagined. I felt like they were my uncle and aunt hosting and helping our wedding day. The friendship we made with them is something you do not get with any other venue in the area. This never felt like a business transaction. They were very accommodating to our needs. On our wedding day, the girls and I were able to get into the barn an hour earlier than our contract, in order to get all our hair and make-up done in time before the ceremony. The barn is beautiful. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the woodwork and beams were. You really don’t have to decorate much which is nice for your wedding budget. The barn has two levels. Upstairs is the main reception area with the bridal suite and the main level has the main bar, tv and the door to the patio. This is perfect if want both parties to get ready before the ceremony. The ladies upstairs and the men downstairs (this is what we did). During the reception, it’s nice for your guests to be able to mingle around. Some people do not want to sit at a table all night or maybe don’t like to dance, so they can go downstairs, or go out to the patio instead. They can still be part of your wedding experience and enjoy themselves vs leaving early. I really liked that about this barn. Between the ceremony and the reception, children can run in the yard and burn energy off, there is a fire pit that you can make s’mores, and the patio is a great gathering area. Plenty of space for your guests to wait until the reception starts. I highly recommend having your wedding/reception here and checking out this barn. I cannot thank Tim and Kalli enough for making our day everything I ever dreamt about. :)

We absolutely loved our day at The Canton Barn; it couldn't have been more perfect. The space itself is already so beautiful that decorations are hardly needed-less is more-which is great for minimalist like myself. The chandeliers, lights, and wooden tables all add to the ambiance of the barn and make it cozy and homey. We felt so comfortable and at ease in the space, sitting at the head table felt like having a big family meal. I have had so many guests tell me how beautiful and unique the barn was and how much they enjoyed their time there. There are so many spaces to hang out in! If you don't feel like dancing or the music is too loud upstairs, you can sit on the covered porch, by the fire pit outside, or downstairs near the bar. Everyone had something to do, nobody was bored!I will also add that it's impossible not to become friends with Kalli. She will laugh with you, dream with you, and she might even cry with you as you walk down the isle! It's rare to meet the owner of any venue you choose, let alone leave your day feeling like you've made a new friend.I cannot recommend The Canton Barn enough for any event you may want to host in it. Kalli is true to her words when she says \"your day is YOUR day,\" she will go out of her way to make sure you're comfortable and that your personal style is expressed. Thanks for making our day so special!
