I cannot express enough how amazing The Captain's Club is as a wedding venue. This place has everything you could want for your big day. I had a lovely outdoor ceremony, followed by an outdoor cocktail hour. The reception space is surrounded by windows that offer a breathtaking view. The food was delicious and the staff were exceptional, exceeding my expectations in every way. I highly recommend The Captain's Club as the perfect wedding venue.

We had the most beautiful wedding at The Captain's Club in Grand Blanc. The ballroom with the French windows and walk out patio was stunning. It was so easy to work with the event coordinators Hunter and Allison - they were quick to respond, answer my questions and accommodate my various requests. All of our guests were impressed with the FOOD! The plated dinner was so well done - it looked and tasted great.

We had the most beautiful wedding at The Captain's Club in Grand Blanc. The ballroom with the French windows and walk out patio was stunning. We would recommend Captain's Club to anyone having a wedding! The venue was naturally beautiful, making decorating the reception and ceremony areas easy. The staff are all super friendly, helpful, and were always so accommodating to us. From the very start of working with them, they were always quick to answer any questions we had. We got so many compliments on how pretty the venue was and how good the food was. We can't recommend this venue enough!

I cannot recommend Captains Club at Woodfield enough! We booked them a year in advance and they were awesome at staying in contact with us to help on top of things. They were always available to talk and run ideas by them. They were so accommodating and fit every need we requested. On the day of, Allison and Hunter were there to making everything run smoothly. As for the reception the food was the best food I have ever had at a wedding and all of our guest were raving about it. There was not a single concern or complaint that I have.

I'm a pretty low-maintenance person in most areas of my life. I'd say my exception would be my rabid, fanatical dedication to safe COVID-19 protocol. Obviously, there's no real safe way to hold events but if you and your guests are willing to take the risk, Captain's Club should be your venue. They had the space, the masks, and the flexibility to set my mind at ease. Safety was my number one concern and Captain's Club nailed it.Technical Review:Menu- my husband and I are vegetarians and there were so many options for us and our meat-eating guests. The chef even proposed a meatless roast carving station for us! So considerate. They were very conscientious of the food allergies of our guests as well. Oh, and everything was delicious!Ceremony- Allison and her team were so professional and everything was organized and perfect.Packages- They have many flexible wedding/reception packages that take the stress of planning off your shoulders. They work directly with Special Occasions for all decorations as well. Choosing the perfect linens couldn't have been easier for me and they deliver right to the venue.Overall, Captain's Club has a wonderful team who were a dream to work with!

There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this venue! The food was amazing, and they have so many options to make sure your guests are well taken care of. If your husband is interested in a round of golf on your big day they can help set that up too! Photos at this venue are also stunning, whether you are on the course or near the building. You will be so happy to have your big day here. I planned everything for my big day during the pandemic, and the staff was incredibly understanding and so easy to work with to make sure our day went smoothly. I have recommended this venue already to friends, and will continue to do so!

Everything about this venue was amazing! It was an area my husband and I weren’t very familiar with at the time but we fell in love with The Captains Club as soon as we visited there! Our wedding was this past August and we loved the indoor/outdoor feel for our cocktail our and reception with the patio and ballroom, the guests loved it as well! Everyone was very helpful throughout the planning stages and although our coordinator changed a couple times due to people moving around, Taylor ended up working with us and she was awesome and so helpful! Also, since we were planning during Covid, they were very informative about regulations and there were always backup plans. Luckily, things opened up and we were able to have the wedding of our dreams! I only have great things to say about this venue!!

Our wedding was July 2021, after postponing due to COVID. Our original coordinator switched jobs prior to our wedding so we were placed with Allison. We loved her and she made us feel so at ease and prepared. She was in constant contact and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. Well fast forward to the night of our rehearsal dinner, and there is no Allison. I was told she had an emergency, which I completely understand happening but was still in a panic. I can't even tell you the name of the lady that filled her position but she informed us that Allison would be there the next day on our actual wedding. To my surprise, no Allison on our wedding day either. The lady that was supposed to be covering for her was only seen once before I walked down the isle. She didn't place my seating chart sign where Allison and I agreed on, which made many of my guest miss seeing it and had people sitting at wrong tables and pulling chairs which left some single guests at tables alone. The drinks were weak. I was disappointed after spending so much for the bar package. All of my guests complained about the weak drinks and I even got a stomach ache from so much juice being used to make the drinks. I understand things come up, but I felt like my wedding day was very unorganized which was sad after planning this for 2 years.

We got married at The Captain's Club in April 2021. The venue, food, and coordinators (shout out to Allison!) were amazing. Only issue we had was since this is a public golf course and restaurant, people could come in and out, and there was an individual that was not a guest of our wedding that was loitering around the area and getting drinks from our bar. My mother and our photographer had to kick him out. Other than that one hiccup, everything went smoothly!

We chose the Captain’s Club as our wedding venue for a million reasons, most of all, the convenience of having a beautiful location with a single contact for the food, bar, linens, and venue. I would make that decision again in a heartbeat. PROS: Food, Bar, Linens, Tables, Chairs, and Tableware all handled by an on-site coordinator. Easy access to the venue for walk-throughs. Friendly and accommodating staff. Worked around allergies. Great communication. Free on-site parking with no time limit so your guests can leave their vehicles overnight without worrying about having to pick them up by a specific time the next day. Bridal suite for getting dressed. Multiple beautiful ceremony locations to choose from.CONS: Public venue so other people can use the venue and golf course during your visit – we had another wedding on-site during our rehearsal and high school homecoming students during our wedding. The venue switched coordinators multiple times before our wedding – though they did a decent job of transitioning so we didn’t have to repeat too many conversations, it was still a little nerve-wracking.

Our guests could not stop ranting and raving about how delicious our food was. The 5 cheese mac and cheese was a huge hit. The whole staff, including Kerri and Alex were SO helpful during the rehearsal dinner and the day of. My husband and I got married here September 6th and we could not be happier with our choice. Captains club made us feel so at ease with our wedding planning. The whole staff, including Kerri and Alex were SO helpful during the rehearsal dinner and the day of. Being the bride can be stressful but it was a relief knowing everything was taken care of because these ladies are pros at their jobs. Also, the food at Captains Club is amazing!! Our wedding was a few months ago (August 2019) and we are so happy we decided to have our wedding reception at Captains Club. The food was absolutely AMAZING! The salmon and prime-rib are fantastic! We had several guests tell us how great they thought the food was, which made us very happy! Having great food for our guests was a big concern to my husband and I when we were deciding on a venue. When I first visited the Captain's Club, I knew it was the perfect place for our ceremony and reception. Our wedding at the Captains Club on June 8, 2019 was so beautiful and stress fee. The staff at Captain’s Club was so accommodating, helpful and kind, they truly made the day. We had our ceremony on the patio, and the reception in the ballroom. Carrie and the team went out of their way to answer every question and make sure our day was taken care of and made sure we didn’t have any issue day-of. I had guests tell me how accommodating the staff was and how impressed they were with the service. We had a vegan guest who told me later that this was the only wedding they have been to with a separate meal for them that was actually delicious! They were unique out of all my vendors on how far they raised the bar. 10/10. Highly recommend.

Alex and Kerri were both so organized and reassured me several times not to worry about decorations and little details, that they would take care of all of it. We had our wedding here last year in November and the whole experience, start to finish was phenomenal. They work with you in every way possible to make sure your wedding day will go smoothly. With any questions they always responded within 24 hours. The food was amazing. Everything about The Captain's Club at Woodfield was excellent, from the venue to the employees. We had a large wedding (250 people), and the venue was easily able to accommodate our size. We wanted a venue where we could to the ceremony and the reception in the same location, and Woodfield had no issues with that. For the ceremony, you have the option of doing it inside (tricky with our amount of people), in a tent outside on their brick building (very nice), or out by the gazebo. We went with the gazebo and it was perfect. We got a sunny day and there was a bit of wind, but the trees around the gazebo killed the wind so our guests were very comfortable. One of the most important aspects to a wedding to guests is the food, and it did not disappoint! We had plenty of positive reviews from our guests about how good the food was, which is always nice to hear.For getting ready, there is a bridal suite upstairs. We also used this as a place to store our belongings and get away for a few minutes to reflect on the day. It's nice to have a private room on site like that to take care of anything or to simply reflect on how great of a day you're having.The layout of the room is perfect and the dance floor is a great size. We were worried about only having one bar, but the bar is very large and accommodated 250 people just fine.Lastly, a big shout out to Allison for all of her help with our big day. Captains Club is truly the most amazing place to have a wedding. The coordinators are absolutely top notch and do everything possible to make sure your perfect day happens as you dream it! They are incredibly accessible and up front about everything. Whether it is meeting with them to ask silly questions just to soothe your soul, or commandeering their entire office for the balloonpocalypse 2018, they make sure they know what you want, how to execute it, and how to make you feel confident that everything is going to be great. The staff is also incredible, from loading our plates of food for us, to allowing us to take over the entire bar for photos, to setting up rented tablecloths themselves so that we could decorate the night before, we could not have asked for a more attentive, understanding, and fun group of people to deal with throughout our wedding. And finally, the venue is absolutely gorgeous. There are so many beautiful places for photos and the way the sun sets over the hills of the golf course creates an amazing background to the reception where you are surrounded by windows looking out towards the driving range. There are many places to chose from for your ceremony, all with different atmospheres to fit just about anyone. I could not have chosen a better fit for our wedding day and the entire Captains Club made our day absolutely spectacular, stress free, and perfect. Kerri was very responsive and quick to answer my questions and give us suggestions. We had no clue what to do or how things were supposed to go so I had lots of questions and we needed a lot of guidance. Fast forward to our wedding day and Kerri and her team were so helpful in every way. We got married on the golf drive, on September 21st at 5:30pm, it rained that afternoon but cleared up in time for our wedding, the temperature was great, however, it was extremely, extremely, windy. We rented a metal arch for the ceremony and even with sandbags weighing it down, the wind was so strong it kept taking it. Kerri and her team worked on the arch for as long as it took to stabilize it for the ceremony. They also help set up the Shepard’s hooks and mason jar lanterns. The food at the Captains Club at Woodfield was delicious! We had a buffet style dinner and had personal servers for the bridal party which was so nice. The bartenders were awesome, my husband and I asked for strong drinks, they certainly delivered! Overall the Captains Club was perfect for us. The grounds are beautiful. The golf drive and the view once you are out there on it is amazing. The Captains Club is super affordable compared to other venues especially with what is included in their different packages. We are very happy with our decision to get married at the Captains Club.

We had no clue what to do or how things were supposed to go so I had lots of questions and we needed a lot of guidance. Fast forward to our wedding day and Kerri and her team were so helpful in every way. We got married on the golf drive, on September 21st at 5:30pm, it rained that afternoon but cleared up in time for our wedding, the temperature was great, however, it was extremely, extremely, windy. We rented a metal arch for the ceremony and even with sandbags weighing it down, the wind was so strong it kept taking it. Kerri and her team worked on the arch for as long as it took to stabilize it for the ceremony. They also help set up the Shepard’s hooks and mason jar lanterns. The food at the Captains Club at Woodfield was delicious! We had a buffet style dinner and had personal servers for the bridal party which was so nice. The bartenders were awesome, my husband and I asked for strong drinks, they certainly delivered! Overall the Captains Club was perfect for us. The grounds are beautiful. The golf drive and the view once you are out there on it is amazing. The Captains Club is super affordable compared to other venues especially with what is included in their different packages. We are very happy with our decision to get married at the Captains Club.

I had a summer wedding. The Captain club at Woodfield was stunningly beautiful! We didn’t even need decorations. We rented the patio that over looked the golf course. They had strung lights out and on a summer evening it was so beautiful. Alexandra and the rest of the staff were such a great help! Great ladies to work with! The food was outstanding! Our guests couldn’t stop raving. I highly recommend this venue!

Apparently there reputation isn’t worth $500.What happened: we paid to get married on the driving range on Sunday, Sept 2, 2018. (Cost to use that space $1000)At 1pm day of we were told we could not get married on the driving range because it was still too wet (per captains clubs coordinator). So we ended up getting married on the patio (cost $500). This is not the problem.The problem is: Denny- General Manager of the Captains Club- refuses to refund my husband and I the difference in cost. (We paid $1000 to get married on driving range but got married on the patio, which is only $500)The Captains Club has been given ample opportunity to make this situation right by refunding the $500 for a service we were not allowed to us. Our wedding took place in October and it was absolutely perfect! We currently live in Minnesota so we had to plan everything completely out of state and away. I was so nervous about that but it absolutely did not matter. Nicole was fantastic with all of her help and we could not have done it without her. She was always quick to respond to any questions and was very patient with any changes that had to be made. When we were unable to rehearse at the venue due to some scheduling changes, she assured me she would be with us every step of the way the next day so we knew what to do and where to go. That helped put my mind at ease. The food was incredible. As a chef, there was some high expectations where food was concerned at my wedding, and the CC kitchen crew nailed it! The venue itself is gorgeous, especially if you're blessed with a nice day like we were. Our ceremony and reception were both held in the grand ballroom and it couldn't have looked nicer. I would definitely recommend the Captain's Club for any wedding or other event in the future.

AMAZING! The whole experience was enjoyable and stress free. I was planning this wedding from across the country and Nicole was fantastic in answering countless emails and meeting with us every time we were in town. At the end of the night there was a minor elevator glitch but they were quick to check in with my husband and I, as well as my elderly guests, to take us up in golf carts to our vehicles if needed. Captain's Club was such a beautiful venue. I was fortunate enough to work with Ashley and Nicole as my coordinators - and they were beyond helpful. They worked with us in every way possible including our budget, setting up all of decorations, and making sure we had all details finalized for smooth sailing the day of. The place is beautiful, the workers are great (minus one of our bartenders that didn't seem to like any of us), but other than that I have zero complaints. I would highly recommend anyone to Captain's Club if you wish to have your wedding at beautiful venue without the stress of having to complete all tasks by yourself. They take the heavy work and make your day as easy on you as possible so you can enjoy the day.

They worked with us in every way possible including our budget, setting up all of decorations, and making sure we had all details finalized for smooth sailing the day of. The place is beautiful, the workers are great (minus one of our bartenders that didn't seem to like any of us), but other than that I have zero complaints. I would highly recommend anyone to Captain's Club if you wish to have your wedding at beautiful venue without the stress of having to complete all tasks by yourself. They take the heavy work and make your day as easy on you as possible so you can enjoy the day.

Kerri and everyone at The Captain's Club made our day so incredibly special! We received SO many compliments from all of our guests about everything from the delicious food to the service. I was definitely a neurotic bride in the weeks leading up to the venue and Kerri was there to answer all of my questions and solve all of my problems. I thought my day was going to be so stressful from set-up and everything and she did it ALL for us! I was able to enjoy my day getting ready and when I got there everything was handled and the whole place looked beautiful! I can't say enough good things about the people who work here. We truly lucked out with this venue. I'm so glad we can look back on our day and know it was perfect because of the people who helped make it that way.

She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect for my special day and set up just right. Denny, the chef cooked everything to perfection! My friends and family could not get over how delicious the food was! We had family that just returned from a two week cruise from Alaska tell us the Cajun salmon at our wedding was better then any salmon they had in Alaska. We also had the late night sliders and mac and cheese that were a huge hit as well! I would not change a thing thanks to Kerri and all the staff at the Captains Club!! My husband and I had a destination wedding in December, and then returned to Michigan to celebrate with our family and friends in January. We had 165 guests, a full buffet, 6 hour open bar, and late night snacks. The Captain's Club was accommodating and easy to work with. The event staff returned e-mails and phone calls promptly, and always worked to get us answers quickly. \r\rWe were able to drop items off the night before and come early the morning of to set up. This was a huge relief, and made the day stress free. Also, the staff sought us out to get us drinks and appetizers, while we waited for our entrance. Simply, great service! \r\rThe Captain's Club is elegant and was the perfect venue for our romantic theme. It has an open layout, where your guests feel apart of every part of the night. \r\rWe did a buffet with the beef carving station. The food was just as wonderful at our reception as it was when we taste tasted it. The service was fantastic, and they were on top of moving events along. With their assistance we got to enjoy most of our night dancing and making memories with our guests. I highly recommend the Captain's Club.

She was quick to respond to any questions during the planning and was a great resource for all wedding/reception type questions. When we (the wedding party) arrived at the reception, we were greeted by staff with appetizers and drinks and they were quick to take any bags/purses we had brought and stow them away. They kept the reception running smoothly so there was no delay from dinner, to cake cutting, to dancing. It was very well organized and the staff made us feel welcome at all times. I can't say enough good things about the Captain's Club as a wedding venue. We had our daughter's wedding at the Captain's Club in September 2014. Kerri and the rest of the staff were so helpful with the planning. She was open to all ideas, and gave helpful advice without being pushy. I really appreciated the benefit of the years of experience, as it kept us from making some huge mistakes. We were able to drop in anytime the country club was open which was great for reminding ourselves of the little details as we planned decorations. \rThe one thing that you can't control is the weather. The day of the wedding was 96 degrees and massive thunderstorms. The ceremony was planned for the tent. Kerri helped orchestrate everything to perfection. We were able to hold the ceremony between storms and move the guests inside without incident. All of the staff were extremely courteous and professional. Even at the end of the night, as we were removing our items, they were still smiling and helpful. \rThe banquet room itself is beautiful, even without decorations. This can really help with the budget. And the food was great. We went with buffet, and had lots of compliments from our guests about how good it was.\rCompared to the other venues that we considered, Captain's Club gave us the best value for our budget. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Kerri and her staff did an excellent job making my wife and I feel like we were one in a million and not just another couple getting married. She is very well organized and was always keeping on schedule and updated. All of our questions were answered, our concerns put at ease and in the end it was a beautiful day that went down without any issues. I really felt like this day was important to everyone involved.\r\rThe kitchen is top notch and the options offered for the menu were amazing. You know you've had great food when the guys at the office talk about it a week later, that says a lot! Assuming it stays on the menu year round, try the salmon at your tasting, it was terrific.\r\rThe venue is gorgeous. Kerri's and her trusted circle of vendors have mastered the art of transforming the space downstairs into something breathtaking. It is amazing how large a room can still feel after 240 people are sat down for dinner! Outside is just as great; the course provides an awesome backdrop for photos and still retains the romantic feel for the day. It is so much more than a golf course, trust me.\r\rThe pictures you see of Captain's Club truly do not do it justice. Anything you've seen so far is truly 100 times better in person. Assuming it stays on the menu year round, try the salmon at your tasting, it was terrific.\r\rThe venue is gorgeous. Kerri's and her trusted circle of vendors have mastered the art of transforming the space downstairs into something breathtaking. It is amazing how large a room can still feel after 240 people are sat down for dinner! Outside is just as great; the course provides an awesome backdrop for photos and still retains the romantic feel for the day. It is so much more than a golf course, trust me.\r\rThe pictures you see of Captain's Club truly do not do it justice. Anything you've seen so far is truly 100 times better in person. Put this location on your list if you are looking for a venue. You will not regret it!\r\rKerri, thank you for everything you did for us. You made this one of the greatest days of our lives, we can never thank you enough for your hard work!\r\r

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Captain's Club and absolutely loved it! We had our ceremony in the tent, which is a great option for someone who wants that outdoor wedding but is worried about the weather. It even rained/stormed on our wedding and everything was still perfect. We had our reception in the ballroom downstairs which is gorgeous. It almost doesn't need decoration. Everyone at the Captain's Club was so great to work with and willing to help you with anything. They made the day run smoothly. Kerri was awesome to work with and so helpful from the day we looked at the venue to the days after the wedding. The food was delicious. Service was wonderful. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

My daughter was married at Woodfield, and I highly recommend it. Kerri was efficient, knowledge, and a pleasure to work with. She was quick to respond to our questions, and worked hard to take care of all the details. Denny also worked very hard to make sure our menu was perfect. My daughter was thrilled with her wedding, and we would not change one thing.

From the first time that my husband and I visited Captain's Club we knew the search was over and we had found the most perfect place for our wedding. We had the opportunity to meet Kerri and she took us around the ballroom and then outside to the pavillion and the canopy tent, which are all amazing. We had searched and looked at so many different places and options and when we finished our visit at Captain's Club we were not only thrilled but relieved! Meeting Kerri meant that we had someone who was so dedicated and organized and understood exactly what we wanted out of our wedding plus she was so detail-oriented, just like me! Planning a wedding at Captain's Club was so simple and easy, Kerri and her staff made sure that every detail was taken care of and always made sure to check in with us all along the way. As a Bride, I could not have asked for more. We also enjoyed meeting the chef Denny during our food tasting and he was able to go over the details of each dish and made sure we were totally satisfied. The venue is beautiful, obviously but it truly is the people at Captain's Club that make it such a pleasent and amazing experience! We had no issues at all, the food and service were exceptional and any request at all that we had was handled very well! If we had any questions at all during the planning process or even the week of our wedding, Kerri and her staff were so prompt to get back to us and they were flexible with all my last minute requests! I could never say enough nice and wonderful things about this place... they literally made our dreams into a reality and we are forever thankful for that! We wish we could relive the day over and over again =)

This venue is fantastic at every turn. Tara's Planning started 2+ yrs ago. They made it fun, for each one of us as it progressed.\rHaving the large wedding, and the full scale, tasty buffett, plus the full bar, dancing galore with shuttles to the hotel made this a fine, safe value for everyone.\rI could easily reccomend this venue to upcoming brides.\r
