Carriage House at Lac La Belle is a wedding venue located in Oconomowoc, WI. This versatile space blends elements of contemporary design with rustic charm. Here, you and your guests can enjoy a personalized experience, bringing your taste to life on your special day. Carriage House at Lac La Belle allows you to enjoy both your ceremony and reception on site. You can prepare in the designated get-ready suite, which is spacious enough to accommodate your hair and makeup teams along with your chosen wedding entourage. Your ceremony can take place outdoors on the stunning manicured grounds, set against a backdrop of trees. You and your guests can enjoy a cocktail reception on the outdoor patio following your service. A bar is conveniently located on the patio for your guests to retrieve refreshments, plus they can enjoy lawn games and the fire pit. When it comes time for your reception, you can proceed indoors to the main event space. This gorgeously bright and airy banquet hall features generous windows, basking the room in natural light. Rustic touches such as the exposed beams on the ceiling give the space a truly welcoming vibe. You can seat up to 240 guests here, banquet-style, with enough room to accommodate a dance floor and your evening’s entertainment. Carriage House at Lac La Belle offers a number of services to couples that wish to celebrate with them. These include event rentals such as tables, chairs, linens, flatware, glassware, and china. You will also have all-day access to the get-ready suite and accompanying lockers to store any valuables. The staff will be on hand to help you with the basic set-up of your event, as well as any necessary turnarounds. The Carriage House was honestly the full package for me. A simply gorgeous venue with exceptional staff. My wedding went so smooth I keep saying everything was PERFECT. So many people prepared me for things to go wrong and to not worry about those things, I mean it when I say nothing went wrong. Marie was truly amazing. She was always sooo patient and thorough with helping us plan everything. I felt so relieved knowing she would be there the day of my wedding and sure enough she made sure everything was perfect. I really couldn’t say enough good things about The Carriage House and Marie. I am so thankful and so happy I booked there. Especially during this pandemic I really couldn’t ask for a better venue. Forever thankful & reliving my perfect day :) thank you so much !!

We had our November 2023 wedding here and everything was perfect! We had our ceremony in the 1896 Room and the cocktail hour and reception in the Carriage House. Though November wasn’t our first choice in dates, it is considered their “off-season” and this turned out to have several huge perks. We got both venue spaces for a discounted rate (no room flip needed), the entire place including the Rivalry Pub to ourselves (golf course and restaurant closed for the season to the public/members), utilized both large bridal suites, and we were able to have our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on-site as well. The Carriage House is beautiful and loved the modern look mixed with wood accents in the ceiling beams and chairs. Andrea was our venue/event coordinator and she was very easy to work with and accommodating. She always responded to all our emails and questions very quickly. She would schedule meetings and tastings around our difficult and conflicting work schedules. Andrea and the food manager Nick helped with recommendations and allowed us to further customize the dinner meal options, which was very much appreciated. We felt very prepared and taken care of going into our wedding day. Andrea checked in on us multiple times during the wedding day and ensured everything was ready to go and on time. In regards to the venue, catering and their staff, everything seemed to run perfectly and smoothly. Food was delicious and served quickly. Our guests raved about the passed appetizers as well (bacon wrapped dates, brie and berry tarts, Impossible meatballs). The bartenders and servers were all great and friendly. We loved this venue and would definitely recommend it to others future couples! Thank you so much Andrea and the entire team!

The Carriage House at Lac La Belle was our wedding venue and it truly exceeded all of my expectations. This was the only venue we looked at and I knew that it was the only place that I could see myself getting married at. It was MY DREAM WEDDING VENUE. I had a vision for our wedding day and Andrea and her team made all of my visions come to life. The team at Lac La Belle was extremely professional and friendly and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out! Getting married at the Carriage House was truly a dream come true and I couldn't be happier with the service, the food, the atmosphere...it was EVERYTHING. SO perfect. The golf course is also stunning and gave us the perfect place to shoot all of our amazing photos. I truly could not be happier!!!

The staff always provided quick responses and were consistently happy and eager to help. I received countless compliments from all of my guests about how gorgeous the venue was and how delicious the food was. There was plenty of space for the guests to enjoy themselves, and the outside area was perfect for guests to spread out too. We loved the amount of space that came with the venue and the ability to have an indoor or outdoor wedding. I was originally interested in The Carriage House but it was slightly out of my budget (although affordable if I had more time), and was introduced to their 1896 Room in the main club building. The venue was absolutely GORGEOUS, and the staff were so friendly and quick to assist my wants and needs. It fit all my guests and was accommodating for the Ceremony set up and Dinner/Reception set up. I was able to find, request a showing and book the venue within a week of the initial contact. Marie and Lindsay are phenomenal and worked hard to make sure Our day was perfect. Because of The Clubs attentiveness the day went hiccup free. If there was a problem Lindsay jumped right on it and made sure the rest of the night went as planned. It was so easy to get in, get things done, and get out. Our guests were impressed with the venue. It was the perfect look for the theme I was going for. Traditional, yet Rustic. If I could redo my wedding day I would no doubt stick to this venue. I wouldn't have changed a thing. I highly recommend either the Carriage House or the 1896 Room. Worth every penny. Not to mention, both rooms are gorgeous.

Beautiful venue! The staff was amazing! Wish I could keep redoing my day over and over again! It was perfect! The spot itself is so beautiful makes for great backdrop for your wedding pics! My guests had a blast too and complimented the staff as well!

While the venue is gorgeous, the staff is incredibly unprofessional and disorganized. We got married here in August 2021 and were very disappointed with the service we were provided. I understand that there are some staffing shortages these days, but with this being one of the more expensive venues in the area we expected so much more.As the bride, I arrived at the carriage house to get ready the morning of and the doors were locked and no one was there after we were reassured that it would be left open for us. After finding a caddy to open the venue we walked in to a mess from the Friday night wedding that had not been cleaned up. A lot of their decor was still out, including florals hanging from the chandeliers. When asked to remove the florals the planner went in to a full panic saying she’s “going to kill someone” and told me she’d try to figure it out, but they probably couldn’t take it down in time.This wasn’t her only stress-inducing response. Wrinkled tablecloths we’re spread on each table and when asked to steam them I was told she doesn’t do that…so my sister in law went back to the hotel to get her steamer to make sure our tables looked presentable. Meanwhile I was panicked while getting ready for my wedding because of her unprofessional reaction to my reasonable requests.To add to my panic, as we approached ceremony time there were only about 10 chairs set out. When I asked where the other 130 were, we were told that the other venue on the property was using them and they’ll rush them over shortly. Needless to say, the staff wasn’t able to set up that many chairs in 15 minutes before our ceremony and it ended up being delayed for almost an hour while our guests waited inside.Additionally, we had invested in the Smith bar package, which accounted for a 2 hour open bar cocktail hour after the wedding and hosted beer and wine all night. The cocktail hour was cut to 1 hour because of the chair delay (for the same price) and the signage for the bar was terribly confusing. It appeared to our guests that once the cocktail hour ended it was a cash bar only, even though our package included hosted wine, beer and 2 signature cocktails. When asked to change the digital signage by multiple people, the planner did not do so.Even after all of this mess, the bartender approached me and told me that we owe them $1800 for the signature drinks. After drinking small cocktails consisting of mostly ice all night I was upset by this and my brother ended up talking her down to $1000, which was still absurd for the two signature drinks that we were told would be $4 each.In the end, we went back to the venue asking about this additional fee since in total we paid more than the all night open bar package. They told us that the hosted 2 hour cocktail hour was actually “up to” 2 hours and the signature drinks were actually $12 each…which was not what was communicated. After almost two months of back and forth we were told a small refund was on its way and still have not received the check.No one wants to write a poor review of their wedding venue, but we were very disappointed with the service, snippy remarks and sneaky bar tabs. I really hope this venue can turn things around.

A lot of their decor was still out, including florals hanging from the chandeliers. When asked to remove the florals the planner went in to a full panic saying she’s “going to kill someone” and told me she’d try to figure it out, but they probably couldn’t take it down in time.This wasn’t her only stress-inducing response. Wrinkled tablecloths we’re spread on each table and when asked to steam them I was told she doesn’t do that…so my sister in law went back to the hotel to get her steamer to make sure our tables looked presentable. Meanwhile I was panicked while getting ready for my wedding because of her unprofessional reaction to my reasonable requests.To add to my panic, as we approached ceremony time there were only about 10 chairs set out. When I asked where the other 130 were, we were told that the other venue on the property was using them and they’ll rush them over shortly. Needless to say, the staff wasn’t able to set up that many chairs in 15 minutes before our ceremony and it ended up being delayed for almost an hour while our guests waited inside.Additionally, we had invested in the Smith bar package, which accounted for a 2 hour open bar cocktail hour after the wedding and hosted beer and wine all night. The cocktail hour was cut to 1 hour because of the chair delay (for the same price) and the signage for the bar was terribly confusing. It appeared to our guests that once the cocktail hour ended it was a cash bar only, even though our package included hosted wine, beer and 2 signature cocktails. When asked to change the digital signage by multiple people, the planner did not do so.Even after all of this mess, the bartender approached me and told me that we owe them $1800 for the signature drinks. After drinking small cocktails consisting of mostly ice all night I was upset by this and my brother ended up talking her down to $1000, which was still absurd for the two signature drinks that we were told would be $4 each.In the end, we went back to the venue asking about this additional fee since in total we paid more than the all night open bar package. They told us that the hosted 2 hour cocktail hour was actually “up to” 2 hours and the signature drinks were actually $12 each…which was not what was communicated. After almost two months of back and forth we were told a small refund was on its way and still have not received the check.No one wants to write a poor review of their wedding venue, but we were very disappointed with the service, snippy remarks and sneaky bar tabs. I really hope this venue can turn things around.

We couldn't have been happier with how our wedding turned out, from booking our wedding before anything was built and just seeing blue prints, they created everything we could have hoped for and more. The staff was super accommodating, from Marie who answered all my questions and helped give great advice for day of organization, to Clint in the pro shop for helping my husband figure out golf the day of before the wedding, and the bar manager for allowing us to bring in a special drink for us and our guests that meant a lot to our family, we couldn't thank you all enough! Not only was the service great, but the venue itself is the perfect spot for a classy yet rustic vibe, and fit the look we were after perfectly! We couldn't be happier with agreeing to go with The Carriage House before it was built and couldn't have pictured getting married anywhere else!

I don't even know where to start.. we had our wedding at the Carriage House almost two weeks ago now. First of all, the venue is absolutely gorgeous. We've received a lot of complements and questions on how we found it. We orignally saw the venue when it was still being built and you could tell right away it was going to be amazing. Secondly and probably most important, I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of. Everything went smoothly or at least if it didn't, I didn't know about it! Marie and all the staff at Lac La Belle were so accommodating and supportive especially during a global pandemic. Marie gave excellent advice and tips which was wonderful as an indecisive bride. There was obviously a good amount of anxiety about moving forward with our original date but, they made us feel safe and supported. I think all this speaks volumes about the Club at Lac La Belle/The Carriage House and how they will take care of you. I wouldn't have changed a thing about our wedding :)

As soon as we met Tyler and Marie at the Carriage House, we knew we were in the right place for our wedding. Wow, where to even begin with this amazing venue. My husband and I were officially the first couple to book The Carriage House venue in September of 2018. We had been to 15 other potential venues but there was just something about this one (even though there was nothing there yet) As we sat with Tyler (the owner) and discussed what his vision was for the venue we knew right away it was meant to be. Call us crazy because at the time Tyler had a rough blue print of what he thought The Carriage House would be and he walked us right out to hole 18 and said “So, its going to be right here” as we were standing on the green. We left that meeting, got in our car, looked at each other and both said “this is it”.With us being the first couple to book, I felt we had a special connection to the property, I was constantly (and probably too much) checking in with Tyler for updates and he was extremely responsive even during all of the busy times. After a while they hired on a wedding day coordinator, Marie, who came to our house and had a meeting with us to discuss the details and she then began to be our point of contact for the small details and help we needed throughout the decision making process. She was experienced, smart, kind and gave us so many ideas to help us make our day the best day yet.As like any new construction, there were a few small bumps in the road, one being the head table vision. I wanted exposed distressed wood tables as our head table and they were set to be delivered for our wedding day. Thursday before the wedding came and Marie had to break the news to us that the tables were delayed and wouldn’t be here in time. We were super bummed but our florist and Marie worked out a plan to make the head table incredible even being linen covered. Friday afternoon I received a call from Tyler himself, he explained how bummed he was to let us down with the head table but he had found some tables to rent from the third ward (downtown Milwaukee) and he would pay for them himself and personally go get them (three massive 8 foot wood tables) and bring them to the venue for us. That is simply how Tyler works, he makes it happen!! Our head table was absolutely stunning thanks to Tyler. All in all, the venue is incredible, our guests were RAVING about how amazingly beautiful it was, the staff is hands down the greatest, they all work as a team to make us feel so special on our big day and you can tell they truly do care, especially Tyler and Marie! I would 110% recommend this venue to anyone and feel confident that they would have the best experience. The Carriage House at Lac La Belle will always hold a special place in our hearts!!!

I am from Oconomowoc originally, and I have always wanted to get married in the area. My husband and I both have large families, so we wanted to find a unique venue that could accommodate our numbers. When we saw the plans for the Carriage House, we knew immediately that we wanted to be married there. My husband and I were the first wedding at the Carriage House! Throughout the entire process, they were amazing, and so accommodating. They did everything possible to make sure that the venue was ready to go for our day! The Carriage House is unbelievably beautiful, on a gorgeous golf course, and is just down the road from the lake. Their event coordinator, Marie Johnson, is a total rockstar who helped us to create an incredible day that we will remember forever! I would definitely recommend using them for any kind of big event!

She was prompt answering emails and so personable when we met. She made us feel like planning a wedding might be easy or even some fun with her help. She has excellent vision and does a great job of sharing her thoughts and experience coordinating weddings. I have no doubt that we would have had a positive experience from start to finish if we had chosen The Carriage House.

Their packages are straight and to the point (no hidden fees), reasonable pricing, and Tyler even met met late on a weekday to meet to talk details since my schedule is very unpredictable. They have great connections to outside vendors that commumicate with you throughout the process. The experience has been fun, exciting, and Im looking forward to a stress-free wedding next year at the Carriage House. Highly reccomended!
