The Center was the perfect place for our wedding! Lindsay was so helpful in making sure we had every detail planned in advance, communicated with vendors for their setup, and made sure everything was set up exactly how we wanted it so we and our families could just relax and enjoy the celebration. We loved that the venue includes basic decor with the cost.

The Center was the perfect place for our wedding! Lindsay was so helpful in making sure we had every detail planned in advance, communicated with vendors for their setup, and made sure everything was set up exactly how we wanted it so we and our families could just relax and enjoy the celebration. We loved that the venue includes basic decor with the cost.

I had my wedding reception at The Center on 9/30/22 and could not recommend it enough! The space is unique and beautiful on its own but it is truly a blank canvas that you can customize to fit your vision. Loren is amazing and was always very responsive via email to answer any questions I had. The Center also has a variety of in-house decor that you can use such as a greenery wall backdrop, vases for floating candles, lanterns, charger plates and table numbers that helped cut down on the amount of decor we needed to purchase or rent. The Center made drop off and pic up of decor very easy and they managed everything the day of the wedding. I also used The Center’s bridal suite to get ready that morning and it worked out great and was a fun place to hang out and get ready with my bridesmaids. I loved having my wedding at The Center and could not have asked for a better day!

I am so happy we booked our wedding reception at The Center. In my opinion, working with Katie, the event planner at The Center, was one of the best parts of wedding planning. She is incredibly organized, helpful, and kind, and I always felt like she was on top of everything. She asked all the right questions to make sure that the event is exactly what we wanted it to be. Erin was the staff point-person during our reception, and working with her was also amazing. Again, she made sure that everything that needed to be done was done, and she did it with grace and a sense of calmness that was so appreciated on such a busy day. One of my favorite aspects of The Center are the wonderful bridal ready rooms - it was the perfect space for my bridesmaids and I to get ready and get our hair and makeup done. Additionally, we catered through McHale's, and the food was all delicious and the tasting process was so fun. Overall, working with the team at The Center was a dream, and we loved the space for our event!

Aside from it's perfectly, beautiful layout, the Center had everything we were looking for in a venue, and exceeded EVERY expectation for our wedding day. Katie, the event planner helped us have a stress-free and enjoyable wedding planning process. We had both our ceremony and reception at the Center and it was everything we could ask for & more! The crew worked so hard to make everything run exactly as planned. We definitely recommend the Center to anyone who wants an all-in-one, simply beautiful wedding! Our day was NOTHING short of perfection.

Everything about The Center was perfect for our wedding! Not only is The Center beautiful, spacious, clean and in a great downtown location, but the staff is absolutely amazing. Katie helped us plan so many aspects of the wedding and answered all of our questions leading up to the big day. She was incredibly helpful and timely with her responses. Katie always welcomed us to come look at the space whenever we needed to plan with the flowers, decorations, etc. Erin was our day of coordinator and took care of everything the week and day of the wedding. We dropped off several decorations (i.e., guest book, floating candles) a couple days before the wedding and Erin set everything up for us. A couple of problems (unrelated to The Center) arose the day of the wedding and I didn't even know about it until after the wedding because Erin handled it all and ensured everything went smoothly. From set up to tear down, The Center staff took care of it all. The service was exceptional. 100% recommend The Center for a wedding venue!

My now husband and I went on several venue tours before landing on The Center. It's such a unique space that you can tailor to fit any theme. We had our ceremony and reception there which was a great choice. They flipped the room incredibly fast and all the staff were very professional. Katie, their event planner was amazing and super easy to work with! She made planning very pain free and was a joy to talk to. I'm giving them 4 stars only because the food didn't blow us away. We went to two different McHale's tastings and ended up choosing items that we liked. Nothing blew us away though and for the price, I wish it did! It would be great if they had more flexibility with the food vendors you can choose. Other than that, the venue is absolutely beautiful and our guests raved about it!

Being a planner myself and living outside of the country/continent, I was extremely nervous about putting my own wedding in someone else's hands. Until of course we met Katie! I had the absolute pleasure of being able to work with Katie for two whole years on this big day (thanks C!) - all while living in two different countries and Europe!! And there was NEVER a moment where I felt concerned, ever. Even when she broke the news to us that she was IN a wedding on our new date and wouldn't be there. I knew no matter what she handled everything she needed to and whomever would be there, would be just as great. And of course, Erin was beyond what we would had hoped for day of! Aside from The Center being completely breathtaking and speaking for itself, Katie and her team are what make it! We had the most incredible experience and no matter what the occasion we WILL be back for more! I cannot say enough amazing things about The Center and the staff other than I highly, HIGHLY, recommend hosting any and all of your events here! You will not be disappointed! I want to preface that we were married in September. It has taken me awhile to write this review because of my mixed feelings. I will start by saying that the space is exactly what we wanted and we would not change our mind on this venue. Pros: -Katie is quick to respond, friendly, and did a wonderful job being accommodating! -During COVID The Center went above and beyond to help us move dates, make sure every thing was cleaned, sanitized, followed protocols, and thought outside the box to make sure we were able to do the ceremony we wanted. -Blank slate with lots of inspiration. A lot comes included which helped with cost. -wedding coordinator that will setup and tear down Cons: - Katie emailed me the night before the wedding at the rehearsal informing me that she would no longer be the wedding coordinator and gave a different name of someone who would be there who we had never met or heard of before.- The day of wedding coordinator had no idea what she was doing. Had to ask multiple questions which was annoying and when I asked if she had all slide shows ready she didn’t have father/daughter nor did Katie (even though it was sent twice) luckily I made it through Google so I was able to share it with her. - After working with Katie for over a year, provided specific instructions, made a PowerPoint, labeled boxes and put clear directions of where to put things including using a map of the layout things were not setup they way it was supposed to be. Guests did not notice which was great but for someone who worked hard to make sure everything was organized and laid out this was very frustrating (lesson learned that not everyone can follow directions no matter how organized and to get a wedding planner if you want it that way) - We also rented from All Occasion Rentals and some of the things we rented were there but not used instead they used things from the wedding the night before. Something I would go back and make sure to do after booking is hire day of wedding planner and/or ask who the day of wedding coordinator is AND who the back up will be and make sure to meet and go over everything with both.

The Center is an absolutely gorgeous venue. It is in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. It connects to The Westin Hotel via a skywalk which is very convenient for guests. Katie is the event planner; she is so sweet, great with responding to questions (I had a million). My guests gave me great feedback on our venue that they loved it; they were served well and the food was great which I believe most people are critics when it comes to their meals at weddings! The team at The Center went out of their way to give us the day of our dreams which we are extremely grateful for.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here on at the beginning of March, and it was the best decision we made throughout the whole planning process! Everyone we worked with at The Center was AMAZING! Our point person was Katie, and she was always on top of her game and continuously went above and beyond to make sure we had everything covered and that all of our decisions were made. She was professional, punctual, and also made me feel at ease during the entire process! The night of our reception was way more than what I could have ever imagined. The place was set up exactly how I had dreamed it would be. The waitresses and bartenders were phenomenal and make sure all of our guests had drinks and food. Genie was amazing!! They set up everything and then tore everything down for us, which was a HUGE help! Even with Covid, everyone felt very safe and comfortable!! I can honestly say it was the best day ever. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

The Staff at McHales & The Center were so amazing to work with! My husband and I were committed to having our wedding to the fullest extend we could during the pandemic circumstances & entertained ALLL the contingency plans. Katie Sulek was our coordinator and very available and transparent about our options & any changes we made were done seamlessly. The event space is absolutely beautiful & classic! We had our wedding in the dome room & cocktail hour/reception in the main ballroom @ The Center. It's a great canvas to work with and is easy to cater to any bride's style. They also offer a variety of decoration options which we did choose to incorporate into our wedding. My only additional decorations were centerpieces the place was STUNNING! I could have spend a lot more money on lighting, backdrops, special table covers, arches etc but ended up being just as happy without them! The staff were exceptional in their service and measures taken to keep our guests (and themselves) safe! I did get in the weeds planning very specific guest logistics (table & seating assignment chart etc) and the staff executed all the details perfectly! Can't go wrong with the food here - We went with a plated dinner and all our guests raved about the steak & cake, including the food snobs lol They also accommodated our vegan/vegetarian guests without skipping a beat. McHales & The Center was the perfect choice for our wedding, my husband and I wanted a 1 stop shop and we are so glad we chose to work with them!! No Regrets! :)

The venue is gorgeous and has so much potential for decorating how YOU want. They offer vases, easels, and a boxwood wall which made my life so much easier and it is all included in the price! We also could not have seen this wedding through without Katie. She was with us from day one and helped us move our date when COVID hit. The Center was the perfect venue for our wedding! The space is absolutely beautiful and it’s perfect for couples like us who wanted to have their ceremony and reception in the same place. We had our ceremony in the dome room and our reception in the main ball room and it was absolutely beautiful! We got tons of compliments and how great the space was from our guests. It’s extremely convenient with many parking garages within a few blocks as well as various hotels nearby for guests to stay in. The staff at The Center is absolutely wonderful and even with all of the new restrictions that came with COVID they made sure we still had the perfect wedding. Katie was great and kept us up to date during all the craziness that was going on this spring and always answered any questions we had ASAP. I can not recommend The Center enough!!!

In choosing a venue for our wedding, Cathy did a ton of research on various websites. She came to a short list of venue options, and then we planned to visit various locations.We met with Paula at The Center. Almost immediately I was sold. Paula was so personal and yet professional, that if the venue had the right options, I knew we’d be in good hands!After meeting with Paula and reviewing options, we chose The Center in downtown Cincinnati, OH to be our wedding venue. What made this a success?First it was the professionalism of all of the staff at The Center. Paula and Katie worked seamlessly to cover every detail. They were not only genuinely excited for us, but also so flexible at every turn, to make sure all details were covered.The venue is a blank slate, and being we were also having the multi-platinum award winning band Blessid Union Of Souls playing at our reception, we had to do multiple floor lay-outs to accommodate all guests, food stations, bar, a DJ stage and the band stage. This meant I pestered Katie and Paula for many reviews both onsite and over email and on the phone. Never once did I feel like I was bothering them. They were so gracious and accommodating!The event was both a wedding and reception at The Center. They have multiple rooms to accommodate a larger event, and everything from floor layout to lighting was adjustable. This turned out to be a super great venue for our wedding and reception. If we had it to do all over again, we would choose The Center!

We were planning our wedding from out of town, but my parents in Cincinnati were very involved in the process. Katie and the rest of the staff were very helpful and communicative throughout the year process to us and my parents. I am a very indecisive person, and planning a wedding from out of town can present it's challenges, however the Center made planning easy and less stressful. Katie gave us suggestions and was in constant communication to make sure we had what we needed. We took advantage of their decor options (lanterns, table number, etc.). This also made planning easier and looked great! The staff set everything up and looked beyond my wildest dream. The staff the day of was extremely accommodating, and immediately got a high chair for my 1 year old nephew. Many compliments from our guests, and can't thank you enough for all their dedication to make the day run smooth and truly made it the perfect day!

Let me start with saying The Center was an a stunning venue and I wouldn’t have changed my wedding for the world. However, a few staff hiccups the day of my wedding left me a bit frustrated. Katie was extremely responsive and accommodating up to my wedding weekend. However it was communicated to me that I would have a different staff member for as a day of coordinator to help me during the rehearsal and the actual day of the wedding. That coordinator was supposed to attend our finals details meeting and did not. Come rehearsal day, I could not find a Center staff member anywhere. I finally found her in one of the side rooms completely oblivious to the rehearsal that was happening. I had to personally seek her out and introduce myself as the bride—which frustrated me. Chelsea (the coordinators name) did not seem interested in my questions whatsoever. I just wanted to review lighting colors and small details. It was also communicated to me previously that she would help que in the bridal party for the ceremony. She did not, and we ended up having to ask a family friend to do so. The day of, Chelsea again was less then friendly. She did not allow my guests to enter the room as she thought it would “spoil the reveal” even after my mom and mother in law asked to open the room several times because we had older guests. I even had guests after the wedding comment about her unwelcoming nature. Come to find out after my wedding, Chelsea was no longer with The Center. So was she let go before my wedding which caused my event to be run with attitude? Or was it after the event? Either way, I was not told or apologized to directly. My mom heard this after dealing with a small coat mix up. The bar also was a tad frustrating. The options are very strict, so it is difficult to swap options if you did not like what was on the menu. My now husband also got carded at my event—the groom! It was in front of his family members, so a bit embarrassing. The bar staff was very apologetic, so I do appreciate their hospitality. Overall, beautiful venue, and Katie is great. But the day of the event staffing left me frustrated. I was looking forward to the friendliness and calm nature that I had been given throughout the process, and instead it added to the stress of an already chaotic day. I even hesitated writing this review (as you can see coming a couple months later) because the venue itself was great. But my feelings are still the same looking back and I think my feelings may have differed if post-event communication about the specific staff member would have been given to me.

Planning an Ohio wedding while living in Texas can be challenging, but Paula and Katie made it so easy for us! They provided top-notch service. They were so easy to work with and were always quick to answer our countless list of questions. Planning from out-of-state limited our flexibility for visits to The Center, but Katie and Paula always accommodated us without hesitation.If you want a blank slate, this is your venue! We were able to transform this venue of white walls and wood floors into exactly what we wanted! It was a perfect “one-stop shop” that allowed our guests to arrive and stay at one location for our ceremony and reception.We loved all the space available at The Center. The bridal suite was so convenient for getting dressed. The ladies’ restroom has a huge lounge area for doing hair and makeup. The dome room was the perfect setting for our cocktail hour during the room flip and provided open space for kids when the main ballroom was too loud for them.Our guests were able to stay at hotels that were connected to The Center by indoor walkway, which meant they didn’t have to brave the cold, March rain.Also, our photos are AMAZING!! We were stuck inside due to the rain, but that didn’t matter. Our photographer captured beautiful photos that we’ll cherish forever.Side note: we offered champagne to our guests upon arrival. It was a nice touch that set the mood for the entire evening.

There were a few key people I trusted to execute our wedding vision, and Katie and the team at The Center were certainly on our short list!! From our initial tour to celebrating our first dance in front of our family and friends, Katie was a support, a sounding board, and a partner! The Center is a beautiful space, perfectly positioned downtown, that we were able to transform into our perfect reception venue.Our wedding had so many details! My Type-A personality fit perfectly with Katie’s... long emails about details and logistics were exchanged and when we arrived to set up the venue everything went as planned thanks to Katie’s reliability. The team at the Center supported us in coordinating all logistics with our vendors, helping us unload all of our drop-off decorations the week of the wedding, supported us setting it up the day before, and tore all down and boxed it up for a Monday morning post-wedding pick up.We asked to do many space tours as my family is from out of town and I am, admittedly, a bit of a perfectionist. Katie met our requests with such grace, constantly putting me, my now husband, and our family at ease. Katie, Paula, and The Center team— I am so thankful our paths crossed and we were able to rely on you in such a magical part of our lives. Thank you for making our wedding planning season so amazing and our wedding night even better!

The Center was the perfect choice for me and my husband. It is a beautiful blank canvas which gave us the option to pick and choose everything we wanted or didn't want for our wedding and reception. This also made it easy to fit any budget. Katie and The Centers team were always super attentive, responsive and helpful with any questions I had. I planned my wedding from out of town and they made the process easy and seamless, responding to my many many emails quickly and offering advice and ideas whenever I asked. They coordinate and set everything up and tear everything down, meaning you can just enjoy your special event (and the day after), instead of being overwhelmed with all of the logistics of the day. In addition to all of that, the location is centrally located downtown. This made it so easy for guests coming in from out of town because it was so close to multiple hotel options, the airport, and good restaurants. I truly can't say enough good things about this venue. They made our special day sooo perfect and if we could do it again we wouldn't have chosen anywhere different.

The Center was an AMAZING venue. It was so beautiful, the staff Katie and Paula were so helpful across the whole planning process, and I loved the space. Our wedding was in November and it rained the whole day. The Center has such a beautiful space and atrium in the entrance that we were able to still get wonderful photos. They provide a lot at the center, which was so helpful. They have the string lights on the ceiling, all the chairs and tables, the drapery, the table numbers, three glass vases for the center pieces, gold chargers, and a wood backdrop that is ALL INCLUDED! They also have a coordinator for the big day (that is included) where they will set up all your decorations for you and take them down. You don't have to pick them up until the Monday after the wedding. They have a bridal suite that is extra, but totally worth it. All in all, they are a great venue that really wants to make your day the best it can be!

We hosted our wedding reception at The Center on 11/2/19, and we could not have been more happy with our decision! The space is absolutely gorgeous, incredibly versatile, and conveniently located. When looking for a venue, we wanted a space that was beautiful in itself, but also allowed for us to add our own personal touch. The Center was the perfect location for this! Not only is their space amazing, but they have an incredible team who we were so lucky to get to work with. Katie was our coordinator and she was such a pleasure beginning with the very first meeting, all the way up through the day of our wedding. She was always incredibly responsive to my questions, and was very flexible as we worked together to make our wedding vision come to life. We were truly lucky to have such an amazing wedding experience, and we cannot thank The Center enough for that!

The location is perfect as it is on 5th street and is connected to the Westin - which was ideal for us as we had a lot of out of town guests!! The space that The Center offers is gorgeous and about open book!! You can do anything that you have your mind set on!! It’s the best! The photos seriously do not do it justice. Set up a venue visit and see for yourself. As soon we walked through the space we knew INSTANTLY that this was it! We didn’t even look at any other places!! My now husband and I did both ceremony and reception, and I am so happy we did. Katie was amazing to work with! She answered all my questions and even more and was in a very timely manner!! I highly recommend this venue if you are looking for a beautiful downtown venue!

We were lucky enough to have our wedding at this amazing venue in Downtown Cincinnati November 9th, 2019! Katie and I had many conversations as I navigated through the planning for nearly 2 years. Love her! The simple white walls and hardwood floors are a great in themselves as it remains timeless and elegant. (the Dome light is such a cool feature and makes for a cool vibe from cocktail hour to reception!) However you really can dress it up however you would like! I highly recommend this venue if you are looking for a beautiful downtown venue! Our family and guests were blown away - as were we!!

This is late but I really felt the need to leave a review because the Center is a wonderful place for a wedding because of the service they provide! If you’ve never been intimately involved in planning a wedding before (like my mom, my (now) husband and myself), you probably have no idea what is important in a venue aside from the obvious (location, aesthetic, etc.). We chose the Center because it was an open, modern space and we had a lot of out of town guests and wanted to be in a central location in Cincinnati. (There are several hotels within a block of the Center, do you don’t need to worry about providing transportation. ) However we inadvertently made the one of best decisions of our wedding. I was planning a wedding from out of town with my mom who was in Cincinnati. From the moment we first contacted the Center, Paula and Katie were very helpful. They were responsive as we asked numerous questions while trying to choose our venue. They communicated with both myself and my mom (who had so many questions...) and were incredibly patient with us. We visited the space numerous times after actually choosing the venue because once you look at a few places, they all start to blend together. Katie became our primary point of contact and throughout the actual planning process. She communicated with all of our vendors about arrival/ set up, so we did not have to worry about anything. This was not something I appreciated until it actually came down to wedding time because you do not want to be the person vendors are calling on your wedding day. They also set everything up/ and took everything down for us. Again, a year or two out you might not realize how important this is, but it was a huge part of having a stress-free weekend/ day. The Center also provides several things you can use to decorate and create your centerpieces which is awesome because who wants to buy 100 vases? Katie also redrafted the floor plan several times and emailed it to me so we could make all of the decisions about set-up remotely.I toured pretty much all of the venues Downtown and I don’t think any of them offered the same level of service as the Center. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend.

We visited the space numerous times after actually choosing the venue because once you look at a few places, they all start to blend together. Katie became our primary point of contact and throughout the actual planning process. She communicated with all of our vendors about arrival/ set up, so we did not have to worry about anything. This was not something I appreciated until it actually came down to wedding time because you do not want to be the person vendors are calling on your wedding day. They also set everything up/ and took everything down for us. Again, a year or two out you might not realize how important this is, but it was a huge part of having a stress-free weekend/ day. The Center also provides several things you can use to decorate and create your centerpieces which is awesome because who wants to buy 100 vases? Katie also redrafted the floor plan several times and emailed it to me so we could make all of the decisions about set-up remotely.I toured pretty much all of the venues Downtown and I don’t think any of them offered the same level of service as the Center. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend.

Katie and the team were wonderful to work with. From the early planning, communications, preparations, to the night of, they were attentive and extremely helpful. They were easy to contact and answered all questions or concerns promptly. They communicated with all of the other vendors involved with the wedding and made sure that everything was coordinated and organized. Even last minute concerns or changes were taken care of with a smile. We were extremely grateful that they were so organized, polite and patient. The Center was amazing to work with prepping for our wedding and helping out the day-of and after the party was over. We had both our ceremony and reception at this location, making the transition from the front room to the back seamless. It gave us lots of space for the 155 guests we ended-up having and even enough space for a photo-booth. The Center provided us with a back-drop for our ceremony, Katie gave us pictures and ideas of how to decorate the space prior to the big day, and was versatile in letting us arrange everything the way we liked with layout plans and all. The day before the wedding we dropped-off all out decor and told Cheyenne to go crazy and make it like Pinterest. She decorated for us and we didn't have to worry about anything the day-of, which is really such a relief. Afterwards we had family gather our stuff we wanted and she took care of the rest. It was very well priced, and since we paid for 95% of this wedding entirely on our own at 26 years old... that was really top priority. The bar provided was clutch for our rowdy group and that's not something other venues we toured provided as nicely. We truly had no complaints about the venue and received only positive comments on how beautiful the whole venue was and how nice it was to have everything in one location. While the clean slate and large space seems intimating to decorate, it was very easy and inexpensive for us to find ways to make it our own and feel fancy... really we have to credit Cheyenne on making it photo-worthy. As a future client, keep in mind that the venue does not own the entire building so if family/friends are staying at the Westin, you will want to inform the staff that all the building doors need to remain unlocked, or otherwise tell your friends that they will need to walk around and not use the bridge. Also, if you are planning on taking pics in the gorgeous armory, there are non-affiliated building staff walking around... but that can happen anywhere.I highly recommend working with this venue and from the multiple options we toured in the Cincinnati city-center area I felt we got every bit of our moneys worth. Thanks to The Center, especially Katie and Cheyenne, for making our day perfect and completely stress-free.

My husband and I saw other negative reviews and thought \"Oh, that won't be us, we're having a pretty low key wedding, it will be fine.\" We were sucked in by the versatility of the space and the ability to work with a variety of vendors. Those things were good--but that wasn't enough to override the unpleasantness and incompetence of the staff and the process of working with them. Repeatedly we had moments like this: for months, over several meetings, we discussed with them (with our caterer and coordinator present--they heard this too!) using the fancy bar we thought came standard with the rental. Three days-- three! days!-- before our wedding, they mentioned to us that the bar was *actually* a several hundred dollar upcharge, and if we didn't want to pay we could have basic tables-- for which we would have had to rent linens, etc. Since they'd been present as we discussed, table by table, our linen rental (to ensure we were all on the same page) never once did they mention needing to either (a) pay for the bar we'd discussed, or (b) rent linens for their basic crappy tables. It has been the best customer service we have received from all of our wedding vendors. All around, it has been a phenomenal experience. Amazing! The Center was a fair price, centrally located in downtown Cinci next to many walkable hotels and restaurants, and incredibly responsive to emails (so important because I was planning the wedding from out of town). They also set up and took down my decor for me, and made the wedding day-of so easy. Between the nice floors, clean walls, dome, and bistro lighting, many guests complimented the venue. Extra rooms allowed us to personalize our day (ex. turned the coat room into a Quiet Room for nursing moms, overstimulated kiddos and adults), and the restrooms were very updated, spacious, and clean. The atrium/lobby just outside the front doors was perfect for beautifully-lit photographs.Lizzie, our day-of coordinator, was particularly a stand-out person. I can't say enough positive things about her, and when I think back to our wedding day, I will literally always remember her calm, kind, and focused nature. Paula was so easy to book with and helpful with questions, and Katie took care of many of our details for us.What a team, what a space.

I recently had my ceremony and reception at The Center and was very pleased with the outcome. We had a Christmas themed wedding and the blank canvas that The Center offers allowed us to create our own ambiance and design for each part of our wedding. Our guests loved the lit up dome that was over the bar and thought the space was absolutely beautiful. The ladies that work there are all extremely nice and helpful. Since I brought in most of the decor, they all came to help set everything up as well as tore everything down after the reception. Our day of coordinator was extremely helpful in making sure everything went as planned and checked in with me throughout the night. My husband and I were very happy with our special day!

We absolutely loved having The Center as our Reception Venue. The staff was in frequent contact, they were professional, helpful and very easy to work with. The amount of open space that The Center has to offer is incredible, especially for a downtown location. What we loved most was the beautiful Dome Room and choices of lighting, as well as the Grand Ballroom's windows which overlooked Fountain Square. The entire venue has a very modern, yet elegant feel, which was the exact setting we sought out to have to represent our Wedding Day. The Center was the first venue that we visited, and afterwards we wondered if it was even worth visiting another venue. In hindsight, we can look back knowing that there was no other venue that we needed to visit.

The moment I walked through the tall wooden doors, I fell in LOVE. The Center is a modern, contemporary, beautiful canvas that can be made completely your own. Not only is the space beautiful, but the employees are top-notch! For a little over a year, I worked with Kayla on planning the perfect wedding reception. She was extremely organized, had great advice and I trusted her completely. Shannon was my \"day of\" coordinator--and she was also amazing! I can't express enough how wonderful our experience with The Center was for our 11/26/16 wedding. From the moment I first toured the venue, I fell in love with the space and after a second look with my husband we decided to book it. From that moment forward we were nothing but pleased by how wonderful it was to work with the staff and how organized they were. Kayla and Shannon made the entire process stress free (which was amazing for an easily stressed bride) and kept up on every little detail and communication with each of our vendors. They made me feel rest assured that every detail would be executed and it was nothing short of that on the day of. Even when I made last minute changes, they were quick on their email responses and were always pleasant about it. Having Shannon as our day-of-coordinator was key! She was there from the time of our rehearsal until the end of the wedding, always with smile on her face and willing to pitch in and help with any decorating or questions that needed answered. Our moms offered to pick up decorations the Monday following the wedding and Shannon made sure everything was kept safe and sound and had it packed away and organized for a quick and easy pick up for them - they are still raving about how easy it was!The location of The Center could not have suited us better. The beautiful downtown location was great for our out-of-town guests and local friends who just wanted to enjoy a night on the town! We were even pleasantly surprised by a fireworks show seen from the Fountain Square window as we were announced into our reception - how awesome is that?! And the skywalk access kept guests warm as they walked back to their hotel rooms which was a great feature!This space allowed us to make it our own and enjoy the great city of Cincinnati that we love so much. I couldn't imagine a better staff to work with and we are so very grateful to them for helping make our wedding an amazing one that we wish we could relive over and over again. My wedding at The Center was PERFECT. First, the venue itself is absolutely beautiful. It's in a prime location and has amazing views. I was worried that it would be difficult for guests to navigate, but fortunately new construction had taken place and the signs made it easy to get to (*hint* I also mentioned on my reception card that The Center was located inside of The Mercantile Center on the corner of X and X street. Many out-of-town guests said this was helpful!) Second, the staff was amazing. I can't thank them enough - Kayla, Ana, Shannon, and Alex - for making my day truly special. They worked with me for nearly 18 months on perfecting every detail (I'm very indecisive and frequently asked for things to be changed over and over again)! The venue was pricier and it's true that you do have to spend more money out of pocket customizing the space with rentals, but it was worth the cost to me. I do wish they would offer basic linens (at no cost) for their tables - white, ivory, or black, as these are a high cost to rent or buy - only because I believe this would make them more competitive to other halls. That's a minor detail and all-in-all I was thrilled with the service (leading up to the wedding and the night of) and set up of the hall. My wedding was beautiful and I highly recommend The Center!

I absolutely loved my ceremony and reception at The Center. My husband and I really wanted a downtown wedding, and you cannot beat the location with it being right at Fountain Square. It is connected to The Westin via skywalk, which makes it super convenient for out of town guests. I also loved that the space is different and more unique than a \"hotel\" reception. The dome room, the hardwood floors, the marble stairs, etc. made for the perfect mix of contemporary elegance I was looking for. I will say that the space is a bit of a blank slate, which I loved, but I read other reviews complaining about needing a lot of decorations to make it feel warm. We did have a backdrop and special lighting, so we didn’t have any issues with that at all. But, it is definitely an added expense to consider when looking at your options. I will also say that at first it seemed more affordable than it ended up being, but I blame that on myself. We upgraded alcohol to top shelf and added extra time for the bar to be open. I also didn’t initially think about expenses related to linens, plates, silverware, glasses, etc. when we booked. So just be cognizant of hidden expenses when comparing to other places that charge a flat fee per person. Even with that said, I would re-book The Center in a heartbeat. The service I received was excellent, and the ladies I worked with (mainly Kayla, Alana, and Paula) were always very prompt to respond back to my questions (and I had A LOT of questions). My husband and I had a Hindu Ceremony in the Dome Room and they were really helpful with coordinating all of the moving pieces. Overall, five stars for location, service, and atmosphere.

As I began my search for reception venues in downtown Cincinnati, a co-worker suggested I check out the Center. I had never heard of the space but I am SO GLAD I visited! The Center, in my opinion, is one of the only large, indoor reception venues downtown that allow for freedom to actually design and execute your wedding the way YOU want it. It seemed like all of the hotels had something I just didn’t like (ugly carpet, weird paintings, etc.). The Center is a blank canvas, and a beautiful one at that! The ladies there are fantastic to work with and incredibly helpful. I am so happy we chose this venue.

First I would like to say, I have nothing bad to say about the staff. I always got a response when I emailed or called and everyone was very friendly and helpful.Secondly, I was very disappointed by this venue. I started out really excited to have our wedding reception here but it ended up being a bust. The price was very affordable however there is nothing that comes with what you pay for. Trust me, you end up spending a lot of money renting everything to make this bare bones room look nice. It got very expensive really quickly and the night of the reception I still felt like there were things that I should have done to make the room feel warm. Thirdly, the location I thought was fun and easy to get to. The month of the wedding there was construction in the hallway leading into the building. I had complaints from my guests that there was no type of signage that told the guests to go around and enter from an alternate way. Most of my guests were walking around aimlessly downtown for about an hour. They said that they saw people through the windows but they had no idea how to get up to that location, some people ended up giving up and not even coming to my wedding, so that was money lost right there. Plus, they were frustrated with me for choosing such an obscure hall to get to. Fourth, THE SECURITY WAS HORRIBLE! My wedding party and I were standing outside of the doors because cocktail hour was going on and we did not want to enter until the guests had gone into the main dining area. The security guards were standing at the door and when the guests came up the escalators they had to ask me where to go. They security guards saw that people were starting to walk down the skywalk, yet they did not stop them and direct them into the building. I thought this was very rude and this really upset me. Fifth, at the end of the evening my mom who is terminally ill and cannot walk far distances and my grandmother who is 92 wanted to take the freight elevator down to the car (the way that they had come in because they wouldn't have to walk up stairs). A security guard told them that they were not able to take that and they had to walk down the steps and make their way to the entrance to get picked up by their ride. I did not hear about this until two weeks after the wedding. I was livid. Like I said, the staff and the actual room was nice. There are hidden costs that you don't expect going into it because you have to rent EVERYTHING. The security that the Center uses is crap. The entrance into the actual venue is tricky, especially for people who are already hesitant about going downtown. Looking back, I probably would have preferred to have my reception elsewhere.

First I would like to say, I have nothing bad to say about the staff. I always got a response when I emailed or called and everyone was very friendly and helpful.Secondly, I was very disappointed by this venue. I started out really excited to have our wedding reception here but it ended up being a bust. The price was very affordable however there is nothing that comes with what you pay for. Trust me, you end up spending a lot of money renting everything to make this bare bones room look nice. It got very expensive really quickly and the night of the reception I still felt like there were things that I should have done to make the room feel warm. Thirdly, the location I thought was fun and easy to get to. The month of the wedding there was construction in the hallway leading into the building. I had complaints from my guests that there was no type of signage that told the guests to go around and enter from an alternate way. Most of my guests were walking around aimlessly downtown for about an hour. They said that they saw people through the windows but they had no idea how to get up to that location, some people ended up giving up and not even coming to my wedding, so that was money lost right there. Plus, they were frustrated with me for choosing such an obscure hall to get to. Fourth, THE SECURITY WAS HORRIBLE! My wedding party and I were standing outside of the doors because cocktail hour was going on and we did not want to enter until the guests had gone into the main dining area. The security guards were standing at the door and when the guests came up the escalators they had to ask me where to go. They security guards saw that people were starting to walk down the skywalk, yet they did not stop them and direct them into the building. I thought this was very rude and this really upset me. Fifth, at the end of the evening my mom who is terminally ill and cannot walk far distances and my grandmother who is 92 wanted to take the freight elevator down to the car (the way that they had come in because they wouldn't have to walk up stairs). A security guard told them that they were not able to take that and they had to walk down the steps and make their way to the entrance to get picked up by their ride. I did not hear about this until two weeks after the wedding. I was livid. Like I said, the staff and the actual room was nice. The Center is a wonderful venue to have your wedding ceremony and/or reception. The blank walls create a great canvas for any style you are seeking and the lighted skylight dome in the first room creates a romantic and classy feel. Our guests were amazed by the downtown location and the inside of the venue itself. The parking situation makes it a bit hard for guests and it is somewhat hard to find if you are not given proper directions. \r\rThe staff was very accommodating to our very traditional Indian wedding - they were communicative with prompt responses, supportive with any changes or ideas, and very accommodating. They made the day run smooth and were on top of everything! They had all of my layouts of chairs and tables and made the transition between the ceremony and reception go smoothly. \r\rI will mention that this venue was a great a choice for us because it allowed outside catering, which was needed when you're having a traditional Indian wedding with personalized catering. I know it has changed since our wedding but they have put together a great list of preferred catering. The Center does have their own alcohol package and it is very strict and very pricey for what they include. The venue itself is pricey to rent but you are paying for downtown Cincinnati location. \r\rWe enjoyed our wedding day and wouldn't change to another location.

I had a wonderful wedding, but sadly, this is the only vendor I was disappointed with. The place is beautiful and in a great location. However, the people are very strict and inflexible. All of my vendors were willing to work with me to help me create the perfect wedding. Yet, The Center constantly told me things wouldn't work or if I added one thing they would charge me ridiculous amounts. This was especially true with their bar options. The week leading up to the wedding, I felt like I was in the dark. I asked several times for a copy of the layout with the changes but never got it. Also, whenever I called that week (if they answered), they seemed busy and like they were in a rush to get off the phone. They had 3 events that weekend and because I was the third one I felt like I was on the back burner. The day of the wedding was very frustrating. I had paid for additional hours to set up (anything past 4 hours of set up and take down you are charged extra) and they were giving tours of the facility!! We couldn't find the linens, didn't have a key to the closet, and the bathrooms ran out of paper. It took us forever to solve the problems because the woman in charge (who was not friendly) was too busy with her tours! I was in shock and was not expecting to have to deal with these things the day of the wedding. If you are looking for a downtown wedding, I would recommend a different venue.

Wow! What more could a couple ask for when looking for a wedding venue! The team is amazing to work with and are casual but very professional. The best part is that it has beautiful hardwood floors and a blank canvas to make dreams come true, not to mention a prime location in the center of downtown Cincinnati overlooking fountain square! Their alcohol is incredibly reasonable for top shelf choices, and we loved that we could choose our own vendors and not select from a list. We were able to hang chandeliers and lighting options that transformed the space into our dream wedding. You WONT be disappointed if you choose The Center for your big day - we weren't! For the price and what you get, it's Cincinnati's hidden gem!

When we got engaged we knew we wanted our wedding to be unique and completely customized to us; we wanted our venue and every aspect of our wedding day to be special to us. We did not want a cookie-cutter wedding that felt like it was selected off a predetermined menu and The Center allowed us to pull this off with ease. From the moment we stepped into the space on our initial visit we adored the modern feel, the large open spaces, and the awesome view of the city, the location, the beautiful hard wood floors and the blank canvas that the space offered. We absolutely loved that The Center allowed us to select all our own wedding reception vendors; from the caterer, to the florist, lighting, to linens everything was customized to us and truly made our day so memorable. We received so many compliments throughout the evening on how amazing and beautiful the venue was and how everyone absolutely loved the space. We worked with Laura in the months prior to our wedding reception and on the day of the wedding and she was amazing! She responded quickly to any questions or requests we had, she made the process of ordering alcohol as painless as possible even though we had some very unique and specific request. She was truly a joy to work with. We would HIGHLY recommend The Center to anyone looking for a wedding reception venue!

The Center is absolutely beautiful! Perfect for a modern wedding, and the space is a blank canvas so you can do anything with it, and the dome in the first room is awesome!\r\rWhile the space is great, there is a high turnover rate for employees there, making it difficult to have a consistent communication flow, although someone is always there to answer questions. The biggest complaint I had was that they changed their alcohol-buying policy during our planning process and expected us to go along with it (it was not a change for the better). I thought this seemed very shady and that they were taking advantage of us. It all ended up fine, but only after several emails requesting to speak to a manager. Be careful of policy changes!!!\r\rOverall, great facility, the wedding was executed very well, the space looked great and the day-of coordinator was very good!

Meet the The Center Team
Lindsay Morris (Events Director) Lindsay has been with McHale’s since November of 2015. She has been in the hospitality business for 15 years. Lindsay graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in theatre and dance. She started out in the business in food and beverage. Once she found her way in the event planning side of events, she fell in love with it. Lindsay loves getting to know her clients on a personal level to make their events more meaningful and memorable.
