DO NOT let the location or brick exterior fool you! Step inside and you will be drawn into a cozy and modern lobby that will immediately make you feel like you are home and wanting to hang out with some of your friends!I had my wedding reception here in Aug, 2023. EVERY SINGLE interaction that I had with all employees at this hotel was fantastic! Our wedding director, Jessica Dickey, was unparalled in both professionalism and courtesy. She was an absolute gem to work with and really listened to the ideas that my husband and I had and did her best to make them become a reality. Jessica was diligent about reminding us when information was due to her and when our payments were due. She would email in advance to let us know that a payment was due and to confirm how we wanted to pay.The food was scrumptious! We chose the buffet option and had chicken marsala, seasoned salmon, and cheese manicotti. Every single person that mentioned the meal told us how delicious the food was. We all know that this is a major feat to be able to please a larger crowd!! Highly recommend the duchess potatoes as one of the side options.The service was wonderful! We had a small room during the cocktail hour for the bridal party. It had its own small buffet of hot and cold appetizers (they sent the leftovers to our room and they made for a delicious midnight snack!). The drink options were also varied (both alcoholic and non alcoholic). Our guests said that the cocktail hour was awesome!The value we got for the amount that we paid was unbelieveable! Some other hotels had pricing where you would only receive a certain amount of hor d'ourves, you had to pay extra for a bridal room, pay to have an onsite coordinator, etc.... This hotel had very competitive pricing and no hidden charges. Everyone was incredibly gracious and kind!The ballroom was gorgeous! The lighting was perfect. We had nice candles on all our tables. Perfect set up based on our requests.Again, DO NOT overlook this hotel. Go in and walk around and meet with people. We are JUST THRILLED with how perfect our wedding reception was!

When my daughter became engaged I knew we wanted to plan an elegant and easy wedding. When I studied wedding venues I always came back to the Best Western Premier due to the beautiful setting, the tiered levels of services which meant I could control my budget, and access to overnight accommodations for our out-of-town guests. As I looked over and compared costs between various local venues, the Best Western offered us the best option for an affordable and elegant wedding. For us, service was important since we felt we couldn't do everything ourselves. I didn't want to miss out on my daughter's and son-in-law's special day. Because it is a full service hotel that is used to big events we knew they would handle the reception without a hitch. When we met with Jessica Dickey we knew she would be an excellent wedding coordinator from the start. She is knowledgeable, energetic, and has loads of people skills. The day of the event I found that Jessica had decorated the room beautifully. I had put a lot of thought into how we wanted it to look, but our time line meant I couldn't be there in person while the reception venue was being set-up. No worries, Jessica did a marvelous job. We were so glad that the Best Western had a gorgeous space for our cocktail hour too. It made our guests feel relaxed and gave them a chance to catch up as many hadn't seen each other for quite a while due to the pandemic. Jessica worked with our chosen venues to ensure the day ran smoothly. The Best Western also recommended to us our cake baker and florist which helped us greatly. The food was delicious and the wine, beer and open bar was a hit with our guests. The service was excellent. They handled everything well. I would highly recommend the Best Western Premier. Our daughter's wedding was everything we hoped it would be thanks to the professionalism and quality service of their entire staff.

We had the perfect wedding day, and that’s not an exaggeration! Jessica coordinated every detail to make it a wonderful experience. The guests loved the food, the alcohol was spectacular, it was decorated elegantly. Just the perfect atmosphere and a seamless experience overall. The recommended vendors were amazing as well, we used the florist and baker the hotel recommended!We highly recommend this venue. They gave us a beautiful, flawless day with the highest level of service. And they even packaged up some hors d’oeuvres and cake and put them in our hotel room along with champagne! We will always have fond memories of our wedding here.

We had our wedding reception here October 2022. Jessica and all the staff were so wonderful work. Even when we thought we may not have good weather for our outside ceremony she was very accommodating in trying to figure out our Plan B. We ended up not needing to use our Plan B but it was nice know we had something. The food was wonderful, and the night was great. The next morning having breakfast at the restaurant made it so nice to see guest and spend more time with them. I would recommend the Best Western to anyone. Thanks for making out reception wonderful.

We had our wedding reception here October 2022. Jessica and all the staff were so wonderful work. Even when we thought we may not have good weather for our outside ceremony she was very accommodating in trying to figure out our Plan B. We got married on 9/10/22 and my husband and I couldn't say enough good things about The Central Hotel! We used them for our wedding reception and absolutely everything was top notch. Our coordinator Jess was amazing and communicated with us so well! The food and the service was absolutely incredible, top tier. The venue and the rooms are beautiful. Everyone involved made every detail of our cocktail hour/wedding reception an absolute breeze and I'm so thankful for them. The price is incredible, you just will not find better in this area. If you want your day to be as stress free as possible, you must book your wedding here while you can!

My husband and I eloped in October of 2021 and we decided to have a wedding reception held at this location. Finding a venue was more than a headache, but when we found the hotel, we were hooked instantly. The staff was phenomenal, the food was exceptional and the atmosphere was gorgeous. There aren't enough emotions I can put into this to describe my thankfulness.Jessica and her team were incredible. She worked with us and listened to everything we had envisioned and made it come to life. I cannot put it into words. Perfection.Our sweetheart table was being served by Jonathan Martinez and all I can say is this man was THE man. He was funny, kind, personable and on top of his game. I tried to talk him into coming to the dance floor, but he kept it professional, although I think he would have been the center of attention. He was the sweetest server I've ever met. The other servers were amazing too, but I didn't get much time to talk with them. Jonathan is a rockstar!Our bartender for the evening (I feel awful I can't remember his name) was just as amazing as Jonathan. Not only was he super fun and enjoyed the guests and music, he was also our server the next morning for breakfast and my little group just adored him. The hotel better keep him around for the rest of forever because there aren't many like him anymore.

My (now) husband and I had such an incredible reception at the Best Western. Megan was amazing in helping us plan all the details in the year and a half before the wedding. She replied to emails quickly (even after hours) and was very flexible with us. We were able to add awesome station options like a mashed potato bar and a nacho station that everyone loved during cocktail hour. We were able to pay a small amount extra to have the BW do all the decorating and they did an amazing job. The room and all the tables looked great. Everyone seemed to enjoy the meal (we did the plated dinner) and the late night snacks. The ballroom is very large and you can pay for the chair covers through the hotel which is very convenient. The basic linens are included and they have preferred vendors with the hotel putting money towards centerpieces and the cake. The BW made planning super easy and I 100% recommend them.

I wish I could give them a 10 star review. My husband and I got married at the Central Hotel in May of 2021. Planning a wedding during the pandemic was far from easy but the staff here were incredible with communication and helping us make decisions as we went along! Our day went off without a hitch (which is difficulct with a wedding with over 200 people). The staff was incredible, food was delcious and we could not have asked for a better atmosphere. Thank you so much to Jessica Dickey, Megan Wilkinson and all of the staff that made our day so perfect. I wish we could relive that day!

I helped my aunt put together her wedding, and the Catering Sales Manager, Jessica, was absolutely wonderful! She was super attentive, answered all of our questions, got us the exact menu & drinks we wanted within the price range we liked, and made sure the wedding celebration was decorated just as my aunt wished for! She's seriously a great asset to this Hotel. The beef medallions with sauce were so tender and flavorful. The vegetables were crisp, and not overcooked. The rice was perfect and the Alfredo sauce for the pasta was awesome. The grilled chicken turned out a bit dry, but I can't say I've had grilled chicken made in bulk amounts that wasn't. Maybe it's just not a great option when feeding 100+ people. Other than that, every single thing was perfect from decor to ambience and the catering team's assistance throughout the night. I'd definitely recommend this place to make your celebration dreams come to life!

She was super attentive, answered all of our questions, got us the exact menu & drinks we wanted within the price range we liked, and made sure the wedding celebration was decorated just as my aunt wished for! She's seriously a great asset to this Hotel. The beef medallions with sauce were so tender and flavorful. The vegetables were crisp, and not overcooked. The rice was perfect and the Alfredo sauce for the pasta was awesome. The grilled chicken turned out a bit dry, but I can't say I've had grilled chicken made in bulk amounts that wasn't. Maybe it's just not a great option when feeding 100+ people. Other than that, every single thing was perfect from decor to ambience and the catering team's assistance throughout the night. I'd definitely recommend this place to make your celebration dreams come to life!

Jessica did a wonderful job of coordinating everything to make sure we had a wonderful day. Also the cost of having our wedding there was cheaper than other venues. It was a beautiful setting. It was also nice that out of town guests could stay and the cost was very reasonable. We also had a breakfast at the attached restaurant Sunday morning. It was so amazing to see everyone off before they left in the morning. I would highly recommend having your wedding there.

All of the staff were so kind and attentive. They did everything they said they were going to do. And the food was amazing! Number one compliment from my guests was how delicious the food was. The lobby was spacious and comfortable for cocktail hour. There was tons of seating for everyone. And the ballroom came together beautifully. The ceremony room, cocktail room, and reception room was beautiful and it was how I imagined it to be. She was very responsive and answered all of my questions. When my husband and I needed to come to the hotel, she worked with our schedule. Jessica understood the whole process from beginning to end. She worked with the vendors and told me not to worry about it. Not only was Jessica great, but her staff also gets an A+ for their assistance. They were very professional, they asked questions, and they provided EXCELLENT service. Not to mention O'Reilly's. The food that this restaurant has is DELICIOUS! My husband and I still crave for the prime rib and crab cake balls. Our guests also enjoyed the food at O'Reilly's. If I had to recommend a wedding venue to anyone searching the Pennsylvania area; this hotel is one to choose. Even though the price is a little on the high side of most venues, it's still worth considering for your special day. Definitely check out this hotel and give it a chance.

I will always highly recommend that people use Best Western Premier, in Union Deposit, Harrisburg, PA, for their next celebratory event!The primary reason for my saying that is due to, Jessica Dickey, Sales Manager. She was excellent in explaining the many decisions I needed to make concerning the schedule, room, food, seating, florist, photographer, etc. With her guidance the flow of the event went well throughout our ceremony and reception.Jessica never skipped a beat in answering any of my many questions. (I probably set a record in asking questions! lol) She has a wonderful personality and a lot of patience, plus, many years of experience. She was wonderful to work with via phone, and in person.Also, the staff who helped during the wedding ceremony and reception were fantastic. Each seemed, as did Jessica, to be sincerely interested in making me happy that day by making sure everything was occurring just as I wanted. What can I say about The Central that probably hasn't already been said in other reviews. It's been almost 4 weeks since our wedding and folks are still talking about how much fun it was. From start to finish, Jessica and her crew took care of us. Graciously answering my endless questions and making all our wedding dreams come true. We are a Maryland couple but couldn't find exactly what we wanted here in Baltimore. We also couldn't find something that would fit our budget as well. During a late night search I stumbled across The Central and I was hooked. The hotel itself if is amazing. Indoor pool, restaurant/bar on site, complimentary water/coffee/tea in the lobby. Friendly staff. Plenty of free parking - and close to shopping (in case you forget something) You couldn't ask for anything more. We were treated like royalty and I thank Jessica and the staff for that. I wouldn't hesitate to host another event at The Central. You know a place is awesome when the men came up to me and said \"wow I love this place. everything is in one location and we are so full from the amazing food that we couldn't even eat cake!\" You won't go wrong with hosting your wedding or event at The Central.

I highly recommend Best Western Central Hotel for your wedding reception! We investigated a coupe hotels in the area, as we had a lot of out of town family and knew we wanted to book a hotel for the reception. We decided to go with the Best Western because of the per person price and because of the nice courtyard area where they have the cocktail hour. Other hotels were charging more for buffet and the full premium bar. Their price was in our budget. Plus their rooms are nicer! In the beginning of our planning we found out that Erica was leaving and her role would be taken over by Jessica. This was a smooth transition, Jessica picked up where Erica left off with our planning. The package that they offer includes an allowance for the cake and centerpieces. We used their suggested vendors and they were able to keep us with in our allowance budget. Their vendors work directly with Jessica to make sure our vision came to light and that everything was delivered and in place the day of the wedding. (Sweet Confections for cake, Pamela's Flowers) Jessica was very responsive with all of my questions and kept me up to date on timelines and necessary meetings with her and her team. She made herself available over my lunch breaks to meet and talk about planning, room set up, etc. We dropped off all of the wedding décor in tubs, with pictures of how we wanted them laid out. They made our vision come to life! Laid out perfectly how we pictured it! We decided to do a buffet dinner. I felt it was a good selection of food for our large group of 100 people. We met with Jessica and one of the catering gals to do a food tasting, two weeks before. They were able to swap out prime rib for roast beef and made some other changes that we requested. The guests loved the food and raved about the crab cake apps and the seafood Newburg. The day of the reception was a breeze. The vendors were all working with Jessica to make sure everything stayed on track. We got a room included with our package. They make sure your bags get delivered, they put left over food/cake in the room fridge for later and you get breakfast in the morning. It was a pleasure to work with Jessica and glad she was there to help us plan along the way. It was a stress free reception and that is how you want it! We absolutely loved our experience with this venue. The ballroom was decorated exactly how we envisioned it would be and the food was delicious! The staff was so friendly and made sure we were happy with everything occurring. I would recommend this reception venue to anyone who asked!!!

Jessica and the entire staff at The Central were fantastic to work with- from the chef to the front desk. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. Our wedding was beautiful, without any hiccups. We're very glad we choose The Central for our venue.

We had the most amazing experience here! Our wedding was 8/5/17, and Jessica and the staff did everything to make it the most perfect day for us. Every detail was exactly how we imagined it, all questions were answered promptly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great! I cannot recommend this venue more! Thank you again to Jessica, and everyone at The Central Hotel & Conference Center, for making our wedding day all we could have dreamed of and more!

Our wedding day was absolutely magical. I would not change a thing about having our reception at the Best Western Premier. Jessica was amazing throughout the planning process and answered questions promptly and professionally. She and the rest of the staff were very accommodating with several personal requests. Our wedding ceremony was over sooner than we anticipated; therefore, guests arrived at the Best Western Premier earlier than we anticipated. The staff did not hesitate to make sure our bridal suite was ready along with the hors d’oeuvres for cocktail hour. Cocktail hour was just beautiful in the main lobby- what an amazing atmosphere. There are a lot of different places for your guests to sit. The hors d’oeuvres were yummy and never lacking! The reception room was fabulous as well. Again, the food was delicious along with the cake from Sweet Confections. Our centerpiece flowers were beautiful from Royer’s. As the bride and groom we were treated with extra care! It was an unforgettable night! When we arrived in our room later that night, the staff had snacks, cake, and a bottle of champagne waiting for us. We truly could not have asked for a better wedding reception! It was an unforgettable night! Thank you Jessica and Best Western Premier Staff!

This reception venue was fantastic! Jessica is wonderful to work with and made all of our dreams come true! The staff was all super friendly, very responsive, and prompt. I would highly recommend having your reception at the central hotel.

Absolutely perfect! The Central Hotel is a gorgeous venue full of friendly and professional staff that are willing to do anything to make your wedding day super special. My husband and I had a wonderful evening with all of our loved ones. The food was great, the ambiance was great, and it is super helpful to have the guest rooms in the same building so there is no worrying about people getting home safely. Jessica, the wedding coordinator, is full of helpful suggestions and is very knowledgeable about how to host a wonderful wedding reception. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a beautiful and memorable wedding day!

Everyone I spoke to was very nice and my guests all raved about the rooms. Only downfall is that there is a very long time between your blocked dates and the date they release the rooms to avoid having to pay for unused rooms, so it's likely you'll have to have your guests at different hotels.

Our wedding was this past Saturday. Erica Biertz was our initial Wedding Coordinator but then went on Maternity leave, and was replaced by Jessica Deimler. Both were phenomenal with answering all of my bizarre questions along the way within a day! They helped to set up and finalize all of the details! The ballroom and Atrium were beautiful and just the right size for our event. The only downfall would be that there are not a lot of areas to take photos at within the complex. Other than that, we made a fantastic choice in choosing the Best Western Premier the Central Hotel, not only for their pricing but their outstanding service as well!

I was very happy with the hotel, service, food/drink and its staff. From the beginning of the planning process through the day of the wedding the coordination team was very responsive and accommodating. They assisted with ensuring all of the details were thought out and taken care of. On the day of the wedding the whole hotel/banquet staff was very professional and helpful. The food and drink was fabulous! And the timeline of the event went according to schedule. They took care of everything so we could enjoy the day. I definitely recommend The Central!

I love the Central Hotel and Conference Center. Our reception was better than I thought it would be. The hotel added little touches to the reception area that we were not expecting. The wedding consultant was right there to greet us when we arrived and made sure everything was to our liking before the guest entered the room. The other staff was there to assist us in anyway we needed from beginning to end. We were unable to eat our meal so they had one for us to take to the bridal suite that evening. We also held my bridal shower here. Everyone talked about how friendly and helpful the staff was. The staff was very observant to the things we needed or forgotten and took care of it very quickly. We would definitely have another event here.

I have been a part of the hospitality industry since 2007 and with this property since 2016. I started off in hotels as a banquet server, quickly became a banquet manager and eventually transitioned into the role of a sales manager & coordinator. My sole focus is now weddings! I am fully dedicated to each of our wedding events from the moment of their site tour, through the detailing/planning process and onsite the day of to support each couple and our team.Fun Fact: I grew up saying I wanted to be an interior designer or a wedding planner!
