The Chapel at Gruene - An Intimate Texan Venue
The Chapel at Gruene is a boutique wedding venue tucked away in the heart of New Braunfels, Texas. This peaceful setting is home to a quaint chapel and beautiful, newly built enclosed reception hall that can be transformed to reflect your wedding vision. There are five custom-built cottages to include a bridal suite located on the grounds of this private ten-acre estate, making it an ideal getaway for intimate weddings and destination celebrations. The Chapel at Gruene has a capacity for up to 100 guests for events. You can say âI doâ in the minimal and elegant chapel, which features long white benches, white shiplap walls, and high ceiling beams and beautiful barn doors. A short path will then lead you to the newly completed enclosed reception hall where your celebration will take place. This ornate space features a modern French Country aesthetic, stunning exposed wooden beams, and exquisite chandeliers and lighting throughout. Your friends and family can mingle in the outdoor area where wooden cocktail tables and outdoor games are set up for cocktail hour. You can celebrate your love story under the Texan night sky in a romantic woodlands setting. You are free to decorate both spaces according to your wedding theme and tastes. So your loved ones can enjoy a restful nightâs stay, the beautifully appointed cottages sleep up to 25 people and are included in your wedding package. Once the reception is over, the party may be carried over and continued at the cottages where we have firepits, horseshoes, and an outdoor seating area. At The Chapel at Gruene, we are ready to help you put every detail in place so that you can enjoy your wedding to the fullest. We provide on site assistance to give you extra peace of mind throughout the day. Outside vendors are also permitted so that you can truly celebrate your day the way you have envisioned.

This venue cannot be recommended enough! The Chapel at Gruene staff was so amazing. From the moment we first contacted them they were excellent communicators and also very informative. Their Bride Guide is an essential piece of planning. The decor collection they provide is absolutely stunning. The way they worked with us to have all the decor we needed was truly above and beyond. We were in awe at how beautiful the venue was during the wedding, the lights outside the venue made it a dreamscape. Their chapel is romantic, and their reception hall is intimate and very modern. To top it off their cottages are very comfy and allowed us and our guests to have an after party where we could just unwind and celebrate with an intimate group. We could not have asked for a better day, and The Chapel at Gruene was a big part of it.

This venue is absolutely STUNNING! Highly recommend it. Not only is the venue itself beautiful but the owners and all the workers there are extremely nice and helpful. I donât have not one bad thing to say about it.I recently got married on October 15 and everything came out amazing! All my guest loved it. It also comes with cabins for out of town guest or your bridal party or whoever you want and they definitely come in handy. This place is the venue of a brides dreams.

I got married here 7/22/23 and it was amazing. the venue is so beautiful (we got so many compliments on how gorgeous it is), it is a great price, and everyone that works there is so kind and helpful. Plus they have decorations included that helped save so much money, and made it super convenient to not have to transport everything. I love that the cottages are included in the price, we had our wedding party and family with kids stay at the cottages so they didn't have to worry about driving. I never had to wait a long time for a response, they were very communicative. We had 85 guests and there was so much room for the dance floor without feeling like empty/wasted space! it was everything i wanted from a venue for my wedding!!! I am so glad I chose them

Michael, Emily, and Shelby are AMAZING! And of course, the venue! We did a blind booking because we lived out of state at the time. We were worried about just going off pictures. Shelby offered to do a FaceTime tour, which was an amazing idea that hadnât even crossed my mind. The decor that comes with the booking saved us so much money and time! That was probably the best thing in my opinion. My husband would say the cabins. There are 4 cottages on the grounds for yaâll to stay overnight. So you donât have to worry about people drinking and driving! We had our wedding in May. So it was hot. But the reception room AC was a relief to come into. Not to mention it is gorgeous! Fireplace with a mantle, and the chandeliers from the ceiling, just amazing. Back to Michael, Emily, and Shelby. They are so awesome with communication. Answer texts, calls, and emails the same day. Most of the time within an hour! I had a lot of questions when I was going along planning, so I did email quite a few times. All of them in more than a timely manner. They are super friendly and do whatever they can to work with you. All in all, everyone had a blast! The outdoor games were great for kids, the lounge chairs under the trees, and that night we ended up making sâmores over the fire pit. They have a sâmore kit and oatmeal, granola, and other snacks. The Keurig provided with k cups came in handy the next morning for everyone in the cabins. The venue is GORGEOUS and having people that love what they do make it even better.

Their âBride Guideâ is a LIFE SAVER!! We found all our vendors and had all our questions answered in one easy place. They thought through things I didnât, had amazing communication and timelines, and were so friendly and helpful along the way. I have been a part of quite a few weddings and they staff truly made it seamless for us, Iâve never experienced anything like it! The chapel and reception hall were PERFECT and the cottages were just what we needed. Everything was decorated and clean and organized. The most beautiful backdrop for all our photos. HIGHLY recommend this venue, you will not be disappointed!

Not only was this a beautiful place to have a wedding, but the owners and manager were very friendly and exceptional in providing ideas and guidance during the planning. They always responded immediately to any question I had. The service they provided was top notch. Everything ran smoothly that day, because of the way they run their business. The reception hall was decorated beautifully with the dĂ©cor that they provide. The four cottages that they have on the premises were so convenient for family to stay and continue the party. I give this place an A+++ and highly recommend it to anyone planning an intimate wedding.

Book this place. Ownership and Management are very attentive. The decorations included with the venue rental were the perfect accents and offered us a less stressful set up day. Itâs beautiful. The kids were able to run around the complex safely while mom and dad were bustinâ a move on the dance floor.

As a wedding and elopement planner, I love the Chapel at Gruene! They have everything you need from a beautiful indoor reception area and an outdoor open air chapel and cocktail area with on-site lodging. The venue itself is very close to town and attractions. The event team is great at answering all of my questions and is always quick to respond! I highly recommend them!

As a wedding and elopement planner, I love the Chapel at Gruene! They have everything you need from a beautiful indoor reception area and an outdoor open air chapel and cocktail area with on-site lodging. The venue itself is very close to town and attractions. The event team is great at answering all of my questions and is always quick to respond! I highly recommend them!

We did not consider any other venues after seeing this property. It is beautiful. We had 60 guests, and Chapel at Gruene was perfect for our needs. Our families stayed in the cottages and had a mini-reunion at our wedding. Our wedding was in October and still warm. Bring your own bottled water as there was none supplied in the cottages. The owner, Michael, and the planner, Shelby, did an outstanding job. We hired many of their recommended vendors. We could not have been happier with the results! Our guests were impressed and we keep hearing good comments about the event and the venue.

It was the first and only venue I looked at. Shelby was so amazing with helping me with my endless questions. I was worried with how many people I had coming cause it was going to be a tight squeeze in the reception hall and she helped make it turn out perfect! We had plenty of room! The venue is the perfect place to get married if you want an intimate wedding with around 100-110 people! I canât tell you how many people told me how perfect the day was! We even left stuff behind on accident and they just kindly put it to the side until we came to get it. The venue and the owners are amazing! It was a dream of a day, that I would relive it over and over if I could. The venue was exactly what I wanted.

We recently got married in September and the Reception Hall was complete and Michael just added an extended patio by the bar. The venue is so beautiful just by itself, you barely need flowers. And it's only grown to be more beautiful over time. From the chapel's open walls concept, the immaculate landscaping, to the absolutely stunning reception hall, everything will astound you and your guests. It is the perfect blend of elegant and elevated, but not stuffy and too formal that guests won't feel comfortable letting loose. Having the cottages reserved for the night was a huge plus, as a few friends, family, and my partner and I spent the evening by the firepit and we could turn in whenever we choose to.The owner, Michael, and the venue manager, Shelby, were as amazing as the grounds. We met Michael back last October and the love and pride he takes in his venue shows with his dedication and responsiveness. He is excellent with communication and is so helpful with questions (and I had A LOT of questions). Shelby was hired towards the end countdown of our wedding, but she was sure to impress us with her professionalism, her adaptability, and her keen eye to even the smallest details. She was so amazingly kind and Michael could not have put his venue in better hands!All in all, my partner and I loved our day and we feel incredibly honored to have been able to host it at the the Chapel at Gruene. Hands down the best wedding venue in the New Braunfels area! The on-site cottages were a game changer and were so incredibly nice inside and out. The venue itself is stunning and was the perfect canvas for us to bring in the colors and vibe we were wanting. Michael was so helpful before the wedding and especially during! He checked in with me multiple times day of to make sure everything was going smoothly. We got so many compliments from guests about the venue and a handful of people telling us to have another wedding so they could come out to The Chapel at Gruene again lol. Canât say enough good things about this place, it will forever have a special place in my heart!

I would highly recommend booking this venue to any couple planning a wedding. The owner, Michael made the whole process so smooth from beginning to end and was very responsive to all of my questions during the planning process. The cottages on site for before and after the wedding was a huge advantage. Our guests that stayed on the property loved being able to get ready there before the wedding and took advantage of the cottages afterwards by changing out of dress clothes to comfortably enjoy the reception. I canât say enough great things about this venue and would use them again in a heartbeat.

We cannot say enough about our perfect experience with The Chapel at Gruene! Our wedding was a dream come true and we also had our rehearsal dinner / welcome party at the venue as well. Our friends and family were able to stay with us at the cabins on site both nights! Having both nights at this venue made it sooo much easier on our guests and they loved how comfortable it was for them! Michael and Emily made us feel welcome from the second we toured the venue all the way to the final seconds of our stay. The venue is gorgeous and you can tell every detail matters to them. We were lucky enough to be the first wedding in the new reception hall and I think we broke it in properly with a nice dance party ;)The Team was always quick to reply and even saved us when our photographer bailed on us last minute before the wedding. Emily was able to accommodate between her other shoots that day and delivered beautiful photos to us! We cannot say enough about our perfect experience with The Chapel at Gruene! Our wedding was a dream come true and we also had our rehearsal dinner / welcome party at the venue as well. Our friends and family were able to stay with us at the cabins on site both nights! Having both nights at this venue made it sooo much easier on our guests and they loved how comfortable it was for them! Michael and Emily made us feel welcome from the second we toured the venue all the way to the final seconds of our stay. The venue is gorgeous and you can tell every detail matters to them. We were lucky enough to be the first wedding in the new reception hall and I think we broke it in properly with a nice dance party ;)The Team was always quick to reply and even saved us when our photographer bailed on us last minute before the wedding. Emily was able to accommodate between her other shoots that day and delivered beautiful photos to us! I had my wedding there on March 5, 2022 and it could not have been any more perfect. My guests enjoyed themselves and the evening went off without a hitch! Wonderful, quaint, intimate, friendly, convenient venue close to Gruene, Texas nestled in the Texas Hill Country between Austin and San Antonio. Owners greeted us in person upon arrival. Cottage was charming, well appointed, with attention paid to every detail. Staff was very helpful, accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for something special. I will definitely return!

I absolutely LOVE this place! Itâs so different and I love that they have the option for wedding couples and their friends and families to stay on site in the cottages so they get to spend time together before and after the wedding. Iâve worked here as a vendor multiple times and they are the best to work with. Theyâre so kind, helpful, and not to mention, their venue is so gorgeous! Iâve had nothing but amazing experiences here and canât wait to serve more couples together.

Emily and Michael (Owner) We LOVE seeing couples getting married and making lasting memories. Weâve been involved in the wedding industry for over 6 years and, with Jesus leading us, started The Chapel at Gruene in fall of 2021. We wanted to create a venue that we would have wanted to get married at! We have a mix of indoor and outdoor space in a quaint setting that is convenient for guests. With our on-site lodging, our couples can spend more time with their family and friends!
