The Colony Club helped make wedding planning and our wedding day so much fun! We couldn't be more grateful to the CC team and worked quite a bit with Jaime in the planning phases. Jaime was responsive, fun, and just has a great attitude. We also got to work with Dylan as our day-of manager and Dylan went above and beyond, even driving a bag of important belongings to us the day of our wedding that we'd forgotten at the venue during rehearsal the day before. This saved us SO much stress! Dylan and Jaime, you two are heroes. The entire staff is incredible and helped make our day perfect.The venue itself you just need to go and see in person. It checks all of the boxes: it's grand, historic, incredibly romantic, beautifully maintained... it's truly everything we wanted in a venue. We had the best day of our lives and are so grateful to Colony Club for being the backbone of that effort in so many ways - they are wonderful and I will be singing their praises for years to come.

We LOVED the colony club and the staff!! First off, the venue itself is amazing and absolutely stunning. There is nothing else like the Colony Club in our eyes! It has a romantic, vintage and imitate feel even though it is a larger venue and can hold a lot of guests (we had 170). It speaks for itself! To top it off, the staff is amazing which makes it even more special! We worked with Jaime leading up until the event and she was super responsive, professional, accommodating & solution-oriented, had great insight and gave us all her expertise when needed! She definitely wanted us to be happy and wanted to make all our requests come true! She was a pleasure to work with and made the planning process FUN! We then got a professional transition and introduction to Nathalie, who was our event manager the day of the wedding, and everything was so seamless - we did not have to lift a finger or answer any questions because she was so on top of everything and knew all the details of our event/etc! It was like Nathalie had been working with us the whole time. 20/10 experience - my parents and inlaws both thought the same!

The Colony Club should be the first venue everyone getting married in Detroit visits. First of all - they take care of everything - food, alcohol, chairs, linens, etc. We had both our ceremony and reception there. AND, for the vendors you will need, coordination is a breeze - everyone has worked with them before. We had a lovely planning experience with Jaime where she went out of her way to assist us in getting ready for our big day. She even set up a to-go tasting for us when I sprained both my ankles and wouldn’t have been able to attend. Our day-of coordinator Nathalie was phenomenal and made sure we had absolutely everything we needed. The food is amazing, and I had so many guests come up to me complimenting the dinner, the mini desserts the coney station we had for a late-night snack. Everyone from the wait staff to the bartenders went the extra mile for us and our guests. On top of all of that, it is such a gorgeous venue - another compliment I received all night from our guests! We booked 2 years out and got the exact date we wanted.

The Colony Club was our dream wedding venue and I'm so happy we went with them for our October 7, 2023 wedding in the Petite Ballroom. From our first tour, we knew it was the place for us from the stunning interiors, the amazing food and drink packages and the helpful team. Amber was our Sales Manager and helped us along every step of wedding planning, answering all of our questions quickly and clearly. We felt so supported by her. I also appreciated the clear communication from her and the rest of the team, always giving us a heads up on upcoming balances and things to consider. Nathalie was our day of point of contact and was so happy and positive. On our big day, every single person we interacted with at the venue was so generous and helpful, checking in with us, making sure we had what we needed and that we were happy. The Colony Club was the most beautiful place for our July wedding! It was so convenient to have a venue that included almost everything, and where we were able to have all events so our guests didn’t have to travel in between. We received a ton of compliments on the venue, especially the Grand Ballroom where we had both our ceremony and reception. Jaime was also great to work with throughout the entire planning process and answered all my questions efficiently. My ONLY complaint is that our on-site venue manager didn’t really do much for our rehearsal and didn’t even introduce himself to me (even though I was dressed in all white and was clearly the bride, lol). We also didn’t see him much on the wedding day, but maybe he was doing more work in the background. Either way we didn’t have any major issues, so all good! I would highly recommend this venue if you’re looking for something all-inclusive in the Detroit area.

My wife and I were recently married at the Colony Club, and had an absolutely fantastic experience. It's a beautiful venue with a lovely staff; the in-house food is excellent (fun tastings, too), and the staff works very well with outside vendors. The newly renovated cocktail spaces are fantastic, and the bartenders know exactly what they're doing. Special thanks to Jaime, who worked with us through the entire planning process and regularly touched base to ensure everything ran smoothly! We're still receiving compliments on the location, and we honestly cannot recommend this place highly enough.

We had our wedding at the Colony Club on 4/8/23 and the venue exceeded all of our expectations! From our initial visit to the day of our wedding, we were blown away with how beautiful it is as well as how supportive the staff is. We worked closely with Amber and she made sure to ease the entire process. The food was amazing!! We got so many compliments on how tasty dinner was. We utilized the 3rd floor ballroom for both our ceremony and our reception space. The room itself is so gorgeous that it barely needs any decorations on top of what is already there. Colony Club provides almost everything you would need for a wedding with food, drinks, tables, chairs, linens, and much more. It truly felt like an all inclusive experience which made wedding planning a lot easier on us. The cocktail hour space was under construction during our wedding which was unfortunate, but Amber and the Colony Club team made sure to make other arrangements so that our cocktail hour was still amazing!! The coordinators and wait staff on the day of our wedding were very attentive and professional as well. Overall we had the best day and Colony Club played a huge part in that for us. We will forever love this venue for being such a special part of our life and we would 100% recommend Colony Club to all future brides & grooms!!

The Colony Club was the perfect venue for our July wedding! The newly updated bar was stunning & the grand ballroom was exquisite. It was the perfect day! Jaime was an absolute pleasure to work with! She made the planning process so easy & smooth. Loved her personality & how organized/efficient she was. Her experience shines through! And the entire team at the venue on the day of was amazing. They really went out of their way to cater to us & we felt so taken care of. Shoutout to Cass who was super attentive to not only us but the entire wedding party! We had our June 2023 wedding at the Colony Club and everything was absolutely amazing! Jaime was incredible to work with and made everything so simple and easy. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and they were extremely accommodating. They worked with us to do a custom late night snack that was not on their menu. Miranda was our day of contact and she was great. She made the final few days of planning a breeze. We had the absolutely best day and could not have been more pleased with how great the Colony Club made our wedding day!

If it wasn’t for her making our wedding process easy, smooth, and positive it would have been a way different experience for us having our wedding at the Colony club! The Colony Club was amazing during the entire process! They truly thought of every detail during the planning process and were unbelievably courteous and professional. On the day of, every detail (and we had a lot!) was executed perfectly. Our day-of event manager coordinated seamlessly with our other vendors to make sure everything was smooth. The service was excellent and the food was delicious; especially the passed appetizers which were all piping hot.The bartenders did an awesome job too; the drinks were all tasty. Every staff member that saw me asked if I needed a drink, a water, or food. I felt like an absolute queen!

The Colony Club was an absolutedream to work with.Jaime Smith & Nathalie Cornelious we’re so incredible to help plan our big day and then execute it day of, even with sometable changes morning before.I appreciate Jamie for having great communication with me throughout or planning and last minute questions. Nathalie helped me, a very anxious bride, feel confident during our rehearsal and making me feel reassured she had everything set and ready to go, which she absolutely did and more day of our event.Cass/Cassie was our (Bride & Groom) main attended and she was absolutely perfect. So attentive to us and to the entire wedding. Even packed desserts for us as we were too busy dancing to actually have any.We loved the entire staff and the care y’all put into our special day means the world. The Colony aclu. staff went above and beyond and we’re still blown away by it, even a week later. 10/10 recommend booking here for the beauty and the way everything is handled so efficiently and with so much care & kindness!Thank you so much!

We had our ceremony and reception at the Colony Club 4th floor petite ballroom and it was the night of our dreams. We worked with Jaime and Amber for the almost year leading up to our wedding, and they were so professional, friendly, organized. They kept us on track with making decisions, and also offered helpful advice/suggestions. They were very responsive, easy to get in touch with, and flexible with trying to help get the day as perfect as we envisioned. The tasing process was so much fun - you basically get served like at a restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious - we got many compliments from guests about how much they enjoyed it. The actual venue is so romantic and beautiful - the space speaks for itself. On the big day, Preston was the event manager, and he was so great. He handled any issues that came up and coordinated with our wedding planner so my husband and I could just enjoy the night - heck, he even filled in for a bartender that I believe called in sick. He was a man of many talents. I highly recommend the Colony Club for a wedding! The space and employees were great.

I can't recommend The Colony Club enough. Before our invitations went out and people would ask about the venue, their eyes would light up when we'd say The Colony Club... and if they hadn't been before, they left delighted. People are still raving about the food and drinks, which are definitely one of the most important parts of your day, and the friendly staff were just the cherry on top. Everyone was excellent to work with from start to finish. I'm so happy we had our wedding at The Colony Club.

Wonderful event space that made our special night flawless. The staff was on top of everything, and the venue was stunning. The attention to detail was next level. The groomsmen suite had college football playing, a stocked beer and wine fridge, and staff bringing in appetizers as we came upstairs. Communication throughout the entire process was great, and we received many compliments on the food (especially the filet). Thank you for everything!

I really cannot say enough amazing things about the Colony Club! We had our wedding in the Petite Ballroom on the upper floor and hosted about 75 people. The food was spectacular (people are still raving about it), and the coordination among the team there was excellent. Jaime Smith was our main point of contact for the majority of the planning process, and she was great at answering questions and following-up on details. She is so friendly and accessible. I loved working with her throughout the entire experience. Jake was our day-of person and he did a great job and I felt like the event flowed seamlessly. The staff at my wedding were PHENOMENAL. I cannot express how wonderful they were. They were so kind and attentive to everyone. I honestly am so impressed and grateful to the team that worked the event. It felt like they were such a wonderful group of people and added to the overall experience. The venue comes with a lot of bonuses included in the packages that you book - you get chiavari chairs, nice linens, they had an easel for my seating chart, they have table numbers which you can use (I ended up using theirs instead of mine because they seemed like they actually fit better with the space.) The appetizers at cocktail hour were wonderful and there were plenty of them. They are passed by servers on trays (which I always think feels like a classy touch). I didn’t have a cake, so instead I booked a dessert table with them, which I also thought was great. There are so many perks to booking with Colony Club that I have a hard time understanding why anyone wouldn’t choose them. It was a great size space for the 75 people that we invited (and could definitely accommodate a larger amount than that). We actually had a full seven piece band set up in the larger back area of the Petite Ballroom, and a lot of dancing space was still left. There was plenty of room and people were dancing all night. All in all, my wedding there was incredible and everything that I wanted it to be. I can’t recommend this venue or team of people enough!

The Colony Club was the perfect place for my wedding reception. The staff was super helpful and answered my hundreds of one-off questions throughout the entire process. The food was fantastic and day-off staff were extremely helpful and professional. The place is absolutely stunning and I received so many compliments on how beautiful our reception was. They give you a list of their preferred vendors and I highly recommend looking into them for DJ and florals especially, as these vendors know the location and can easily work with the Colony Club to coordinate set up so that you can stay out of it. I am so appreciative to the staff at the Colony Club for making my wedding the most perfect and beautiful day!

We had our wedding at the Colony Club on June 10, 2022, and it exceeded our expectations. It is such a beautiful venue that I knew I wanted to have our reception there even before we got engaged. Everyone we worked with at the Colony Club made it that much better. We worked with Amber for our planning, and she answered all of our questions and was open to any special requests we wanted to make. Nathalie was our Venue Manager, and she was there the whole night to make sure everything went according to plan. I cannot recommend this place enough. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how good their food was.

The Colony Club hosted our absolute dream wedding on 5/28/22! The venue is just beautiful, the food was AMAZING, and the staff were on their A game. The planning process with Jamie was so smooth, she was quick and easy to get in contact with, and answered all of my millions of questions. Preston was our day of venue manager and he was wonderful himself! Everything was set up exactly how I planned and the day and timeline went absolutely perfect. We could not be happier with choosing the Colony Club as our venue.

All I can say is WOW! We knew from the second we walked in the doors that we wanted to be married at the Colony Club. The architecture and beauty of the venue captured our hearts immediately. If you want to feel like an absolute Disney princess, this is the place to be! We had our ceremony on the 4th floor and the reception in the 3rd-floor ballroom. From the second we signed the contract, to the moment the party ended, the Colony Club staff has been everything we could've wanted and MORE! We were originally supposed to get married in July 2021 but had postponed to January 2022 due to Covid. The Colony Club was nothing but accomodating for any change or request we had. The food was phenomenal, even better than at the tasting. We received nothing but compliments from our guests on the service, food, and the absolute beauty of the venue. The venue managers, Nathalie and Preston, went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure our day was perfect. I can honestly say I do not regret hiring a day-of coordinator because the Colony Club staff made sure every detail was perfect, and that our timeline was executed to a tee. Everyone always tells you that something will go wrong on your wedding day, and I can say with confidence that that was not the case on our day. It was as picture-perfect as can be. I am so thankful we chose the Colony Club!!!

When we first walked into the Colony Club while touring venues, both my (then) fiance and my eyes completely lit up and we knew this was where we had to get married. The ballroom is breathtakingly beautiful, and so perfectly laid out to maximize both the couple and the guests' enjoyment of the space; dancing is central and spacious, you feel close to all of your guests (we truly had no bad tables we were worried about), and the bars and other activities/amenities (photo booth, guest book, restrooms, etc) were so easy to get to for our guests.We were so impressed with the venue, but even more impressed by the superb service that the Colony Club gives to its couples from start to wedding day. We worked with wonderful coordinators at the Colony Club, who seamlessly worked with our own day of coordinator to make our reception perfect with absolutely no added stress on me or the groom. All of the details were exactly as we imagined them, all of our vendors were set up on time, and all of the wait staff at the Colony Club was top notch. Not too mention the food - which is incredible. We got SO many compliments from our guests about their meals (and I was so glad I got to eat my full meal!)The service is so exceptional, the bride and groom even have their own server during the night - you are able to eat when you want, and never have to send any of your friends to the bar for you :) A small detail we weren't expecting, that made our night that much easier to enjoy!!

When we toured the Colony Club it was September 2019 and at that time the earliest Saturday they had available was October 9, 2021. To say we lucked out is an understatement especially as there was no way we could have known the effect Covid-19 would have in 2020 and on. Throughout the planning and coordination experience we had four different event managers, which is understandable given the circumstances with Covid-19, but the details and planning NEVER got lost or miscommunicated. It was seamless and we are so appreciative for the professionalism and communication with Jamie & Jake - especially their patience with all my anxious emails in the weeks leading up to our day. We had complete faith with the team at the Colony Club to make sure all of our details were executed and they absolutely delivered. On the wedding day, our guests could not stop talking about the food, the service, and the beauty of the space. We cannot recommend the Colony Club and their team enough!

The best venue; the best service. Not only does the colony club look like something from a Disney movie, but the service was beyond exceptional. My wedding was delayed for 1.5 years due to covid, and the colony club was extremely accommodating and patient. I appreciated how diligent, punctual, and professional everyone was. Everyone constantly communicated and addressed my every concern and question. My wedding day went so smoothly because of the colony club. Every detail, every aspect of the wedding reception was executed to perfection. I didn’t have to worry about anything. They’re super reliable and thorough and detail oriented. I can’t stress how amazing the service was - from the venue manager to every single person on the staff the night of my wedding - they fully executed their roles perfectly. My wedding was what it sad because of the colony club and I will forever be grateful for how amazing, efficient, reliable, exceptional, and responsibly they were. This is the best venue to have a wedding. It is so beautiful; it looked like something from a fairytale. Special shout-out to Nicole and Jessica -they were so kind, reliable, detail-oriented, and ensured everything went smoothly.

My son and daughter-in-law got married here, 2 weeks ago. The venue is beautiful and am sure their pictures will not be able to do it justice. The food was delicious. The staff were over the top! Very attentive and eager to make sure we were well taken care of.We were here for another wedding this past weekend and the staff remembered my family and I! They were just as amazing the 2nd time around!

The Colony Club was the absolute perfect venue for us. They were incredibly helpful from our tour in the very beginning to the very last minute of our reception. Not only is it a gorgeous venue, the service is top notch. We worked with Alex for our planning and Bertha for our “day of” and they were so happy to help with anything they could. Being one of the first normal weddings after covid, everyone was just excited to be there! The tasting is so much fun and the food at the actual wedding surpassed the tasting! Everyone talked about how delicious the food was at our post-wedding brunch. I cannot share enough how grateful I am to The Colony Club for creating the wedding of my dreams. It was truly perfect in every way!!

The venue is gorgeous, the service was impeccable and the food was delicious. There was not one thing that didn't go well the entire evening. Bertha and Caitlin the night of the wedding took care of everything for us so all we had to do was enjoy!

If I could give the Colony Club over 5 stars, I would. From our very first site visit with The Colony Club, we knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding reception. The Colony Club third floor ballroom is absolutely stunning, with beautiful chandeliers and gold ornate details throughout the room, and tall floor-to-ceiling windows with beautiful draping. Our family and friends were blown away by how gorgeous the Colony Club was! Our day was perfect and that’s all thanks to the staff at the Colony Club! Samantha was an absolute pleasure working with throughout the whole wedding process! Not only was she knowledgeable, but she was very responsive throughout the whole wedding planning process! Molly was our event manager and she did a phenomenal job making sure everything ran smoothly. They were so kind as to let our vendors arrive early to set-up. The food was so delicious and the service was attentive! I would HIGHLY recommend having your wedding at the Colony Club. I would also recommend booking as early as possible to secure your date as this is a popular venue!! So worth it! Thank you so much to everyone at the Colony Club for making our day so memorable and perfect!

If you are a bride and groom, do yourself a favor and book the Colony Club now! I got married on Friday and it was an absolute fairy-tale thanks to the team at the Colony Club. The Venue itself is breathtaking. My guests were blown away that a place like that even exists in Detroit. From the architecture and up lighting to the bar set up and food, the night was flawless and talked about for days following. What really made it all perfect though was the staff. Prior to our wedding we worked with Samantha for booking and planning. She was extremely accommodating and answered all our questions. We were assigned Molly as our week and day of wedding coordinator and she was like Jennifer Lopez from the movie, The Wedding Planner. When I needed a Bobby pin, she popped out of no where with a bridal first aid kit. When my groom’s party were on the run, she organized us. She answered late night emails the week leading up to the wedding and completely eased and stressors I had.Overall it was a 5 star experience and I wish I could relive the day over and over.

The best place for a reception. We had our reception on the 4th floor, and it was perfect for ~120 guests. The staff was extremely helpful the entire night and went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and eating and drinking. Our guests were RAVING about the food; generous portions but excellent quality, and amazing passed appetizers. We have zero complaints about this venue! It was stunning and the team was a dream to work with.

BEST wedding venue in Detroit! When my husband and I got engaged we both thought our wedding reception would be at my parent’s club which would have been beautiful, but we still wanted to look around at other venues to make sure we were picking a venue that was truly us. When I walked into the Colony Club third floor ballroom I got a feeling that this is where our reception should be, and my husband felt the same way. From the floors (we loved the wood floor since a lot of reception venues are carpet) to the ceiling (I absolutely loved all the gold) to the Chivari chairs to the food (we served filet and crab cakes and people could not stop raving) and to the amazing staff (Lauren was an awesome sales coordinator and Clara was a great day of) everything was PERFECT!! It meant a lot to my husband and me to show our guests downtown Detroit, since a lot were from out of town, and have our wedding reception in a truly historic building. I can not recommend the Colony Club enough. Everything was perfect, and Lauren at the Colony Club was there to make sure all of our needs were meet and even exceeded. If you are looking for a historic Detroit venue with an immense amount of character look no further. Our photos will truly be timeless with the gorgeous background of the Colony Club.

Our entire experience with the Colony Club was exceptional! From the very first day when we toured the venue through the wedding they were so professional and accommodating. The venue itself is stunning, we had our ceremony and reception there and the photos are gorgeous. The staff is incredible! We worked with Samantha leading up to the wedding and had Molly and Bertha for the day of. They made sure every detail was perfect and that everything went as smooth as possible. Where to begin! Let me start my saying- you will never regret choosing Colony Club for your wedding! The staff is amazing, the food is incredible, the scenic location has so many photo opportunities inside and outside of the venue, and you can't beat the parking in downtown Detroit without paying for valet! The ballroom is stunning and the main lobby was absolutely perfect for cocktail hour. We have been told by each and every guest that our wedding was the most perfect wedding they'd ever been to- and we'd have to agree! :D We worked closely with Molly, who is absolutely wonderful! She is super friendly, professional and so knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to work with her from the first day we toured the venue to the night of our wedding reception! Molly listened to exactly what we wanted/needed, she executed our vision perfectly, and she was so fun to work with. Many wedding vendors are hard to get in contact with, but Molly was easy to get ahold of and answered all of our questions promptly. She is just awesome- could not have been happier to work with her! I could not say enough good things about the Colony Club. The appearance, the food, the staff - all of it was absolutely incredible! We've received SO many comments about how stunning the ballroom was and how delicious the food was - especially the appetizers! lol I know the main course is most important, but when you have hungry guests, cocktail hour is also important! As far as the staff goes, we worked with Samantha Stant to make sure every detail of the wedding was perfect, then we had Molly Ellenberger as the coordinator the day of the wedding. They were both extremely helpful. Samantha helped get everything set in place and Molly helped execute! I'd choose the Colony Club over and over again for our special day!

My husband and I married on Oct 14th of this year at the Colony Club and let me tell you, it was the best decision we made (well maybe the second best decision). For obvious reasons, the venue is just exquisite. What you dont see in pictures is how well the staff treats not only you but your guests. I have had so many people comment on how well they were treated and accommodated by their staff and how delicious the dinner was, it was just above our expectations. Thank you for helping with the best night of my life and my dream wedding!! Our event manager, Clara was just as sweet as can be and helped bring the night all together without me having to stress at all!!! Thank yall so much for everything that night!!!

Planning a wedding from out of town is never easy, but Samantha and the staff at The Colony Club put us at ease with their attentive service. We could not have asked for a more beautiful venue, nor a harder working staff. Molly, our wedding day coordinator was pleasant, helpful, extremely accommodating and very efficient. The food was served hot and prepared to our liking. We truly could not have asked for more. I would highly recommend the Colony Club if you are looking for the perfect wedding venue.

Our experience with the Colony Club was nothing short of perfection. There wasn’t a single hiccup in our night thanks to the amazing planning and execution carried out by their staff. We felt as though our wedding was the only event they were planning this year because of the amount of attention we received. Lauren and Clara were professional, prompt, resourceful and down to earth. We were so lucky to have them involved in our big day. Also, the Colony Club is arguably the most gorgeous venue in Detroit. It’s beauty is almost an afterthought, considering the how incredible the staff is. I can’t forget to mention that the food received compliments from the toughest reviewers and the bartenders executed our signature cocktails flawlessly.

We loved Colony Club! OUr day was absolutely perfect!!! For us, this was an all-inclusive venue. While it is a bit pricey, in our opinions it saved us in other areas such as decor (the space is very ornate and doesn't require anything else to be stunning, plus comes with the upgraded chairs that other venues upcharge for), and not needing a day of coordinator. Everyone we worked with was great and helpful! Our day went off without a hitch, thanks to Clara and the team at Colony Club. If I had one comment to make, I would say think hard if you want dinner service to start during speeches. When I was asked if this would be okay, I didn't have a problem with it, but in hindsight, it was a little disruptive. Perhaps it was because we had 4 speeches? Not saying it is anyone's fault, just that I was under the impression that only salads would be served, but they were serving dinner during speeches, etc so it became distracting.

Our wedding was in May 2017 at the Colony Club. When I first walked in this place I was absolutely blown away. It was everything we wanted in a venue. Beautiful. Unique. Well Maintained. And it was affordable. I worked with several members of the Colony Club team and they were all so wonderful. I first met with Ashley and then Lauren who was actually planning a wedding herself the day after ours (she gave me lots of good advice!) Lauren was very interested and cared about every detail to make sure our day was special. Our day of manager Rachelle, was a life saver. I had no idea what to expect on the day but she made sure everything went smoothly for us. I also received MANY compliments on the food (especially the filet!). I HIGHLY recommend the Colony Club. The colony club and the staff were absolutely fantastic! We didn’t have a single problem from the day we booked our wedding. We worked with Lauren and Katelyn and both of them were extremely responsive, often returning emails within an hour. The staff was flexible with our timeline when our ceremony went longer than expected and everything went so smoothly the day of our wedding. We received so many complements from guests about it being the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. And of course, the food was amazing as well. A guest favorite was the prime rib, but we received compliments all night about the hors d’oeuvres and other meals as well. If you want everyone to be blown away at your wedding, you must contact the Colony Club!

The Colony Club is meant for that very special fairytale wedding you always dreamed of. It is by far the best venue ever! Our daughter Christina and Jeff celebrated their marriage last Friday it was the most magnificent wedding!!!I was fortunate enough to have Lauren Kirk as our Event Manager, what a blessing she was. Lauren was incredible to work with throughout this entire process. We did this long distance so needless to say Lauren and her team were on top of every detail. What a pleasure to work with each and every one of them. I must recognize Chef George whose culinary expertise surpassed our expectations along with his big smile that made us feel there was never anything to worry about. Molly and Bertha the incredible day of the wedding duo that made sure not one thing went wrong, what loves they are.As Christina and Jeff exited the wedding ceremony they were greeted with Bertha's warm smile as she handed them champagne flutes to begin their night of celebration.It is all of these incredible gestures of love, kindness and warmth that this group of people showed to all of us that makes the Colony Club the place where dreams are made of...thanks to all of you from all of us...we love you!!

We had a phenomenal ceremony and reception at The Colony Club - it photographs beautifully. The food was also great, the staff was extremely helpful, and overall we felt that they every effort to accommodate our requests and prepare for our big day. However, it is an old venue and that comes with some compromises. One of the elevators was out of order for our wedding, forcing some of our guests to take the stairs. Additionally, the television in the groom's suite wasn't working at all and there was a significant delay in providing snacks to the bride and groom's suites before the ceremony. We were compensated with a complimentary wine pour for all guests, which does speak to how attentive and customer-service-focused the staff really is. Throughout the planning process they made an effort to consider our budget and work around our constraint, we never felt like they were being judgmental even though we were trying to stick to the minimum spending amount.

Buyer Beware!Although the Colony Club is a first-class venue I will tell anyone that is planning an event there to make sure you get everything you want in writing and constantly remind your sales person of these requests. We specifically asked for two items, BOTH were spelled out in our contract and in our floor plan diagram and NEITHER one was done on our wedding night. Nicole the Managing Director said that it was OUR FAULT for not bringing it up with our senior sales manager (which we did numerous times). The event manager even agreed the night of the wedding that she was short staffed and couldn’t do what was requested. So… This became OUR problem, not theirs. You will love the setting and the food but execution to simple request outside of their “standard labor guidelines” don’t happen and then you get called a liar for asking for them.

From the moment I saw the ballroom at the Colony Club, I knew it was the place I wanted to have our wedding and reception. I was a little nervous at first, as the sales agent I booked with left the company shortly thereafter. There were a few bumps in the road on the way—first, they only can accommodate tastings on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, no exceptions. My husband does not have a very flexible work schedule and we live in Chicago, so it was very difficult to attend, but we ended up being able to work things out. Also, like a lot of venues, you can get just about anything as long as you are willing to pay for it. We had them order specialty liquor (Pisco), which was expensive, but most venues will upcharge you. Despite this, I still gave them 5 stars because although it is on the more expensive side, they were really on top of things on our wedding day. Molly, our day-of coordinator, did a great job. We had both our ceremony and reception in the 3rd floor ballroom and the room flip was ultra efficient and seamless. We had so many compliments from our guests about how stunning the venue was and how wonderful the food was. The waiters are really attentive—I had 3-5 guests not inform us of food preferences or intolerances beforehand, and the chef accommodated everyone (vegan, gluten free, no shrimp, etc). Both parents tables and our sweetheart table had personal waiters who took impeccable care of us, bringing us drinks/food/cake the entire evening. The Colony Club really did a fabulous job and I would recommend them without hesitation.

Working with the Colony Club was so simple. This vennue checked all my boxes right from the beginning. They take so much pride in making sure every detail is correct for your big day. We had many meetings over the 11 month planning period and they were very reachable via email with any questions or concerns. They provide a day of coordinator to help assist with all of the events the day of. Katie was our coordinator and she was incredible! There was a power outage the night before my wedding and the elevators were broken due to that. The Colony Club reported that to me as soon as they could and upgraded the wine and bar due to this incovience without even being asked for compensation. If that was the only thing to go wrong, fine by me! The staff helped those who needed it to the service elevator to avoid the stairs. The service and staff during the reception was top-notch. I highly recommend The Colony Club.

We absolutely loved having our reception at the Colony Club. This is such a gorgeous downtown Detroit reception location. Everyone we worked with was so friendly and accommodating. The food was outstanding and we received so many compliments on the appetizers, dinner and the variety for the bar. We were able to add on bourbon and craft beer options which was great. We worked with both Ashley and Lauren as our coordinators and they were very quick to answer any big or small question I had. Bertha was our day of coordinator and I couldn't have asked for someone more detailed and happy to have along side us. We were blown away by the service from every person working. We didn't have a single problem from the day we booked our date. The combination of a gorgeous ballroom, excellent service and delicious food was exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend!

We had our wedding reception in the 4th floor ballroom at The Colony Club on May 20, 2017. Everything was amazing. Lauren was very helpful in the planning stages and helped me to create my vision. She always answered my questions quickly and was patient with any requests or changes I had. Molly was the best during the reception. We had a few stressful moments and Molly kept everything on track. So many of my guests complimented how beautiful The Colony Club is and said that it was some of the best food they ever had. My husband and I celebrated our wedding reception at the Colony Club on 04/21/2017- and our night could not have been more perfect! We fell in love with the beautiful third floor ballroom the minute we walked in the first time, and it was just as beautiful on our wedding day. The entire planning process was streamlined, easy, and staff was incredibly helpful every step of the way. The food was incredible- we had many guests say it was the best \"wedding food\" they had ever eaten. During the planning process, emails were answered promptly, and made our stress level very low. The price they quoted included everything-so no hidden fees or extras. I appreciated that our contract was straightforward and itemized, and we knew exactly what we and our guests were getting. The upstairs brides/grooms rooms were a nice plus for us, complete with safes to keep valuables in. My husband and I had a special server, who made sure our drinks were full and that we were happy all night. We could not have asked for a more perfect reception venue, and will treasure the memories we made there for the rest our our lives. It is ABSOLUTELY worth the wait to have a reception here!

My husband and I got married at the Colony Club on September 23rd, 2016. We cannot say enough good things about the venue, experience, and service that we had at the Colony Club! The wedding completely exceeded our expectations in every way. We and are guests had an absolute blast at the wedding- we couldn't have asked for more.My husband is from out of town and most of his family had never visited Detroit so we really wanted to showcase the culture and history of the city. The Colony Club, especially the 3rd floor ballroom, absolutely blew us away. The entire process from start to finish was seamless and stress free. The staff, especially Lauren K, was always willing to help and answer any questions quickly. Since we were planning a wedding out of town this was so helpful. We also have food allergies our family and the Colony Club was able to ensure that everyone had delicious food options and there would be no concern about anyone getting sick. Molly and Rachelle were our day of event managers and both were so friendly and extremely helpful with set up and break down and running the night flawlessly! Such a wonderful place to celebrate one of the happiest days of our lives! We could not recommend the Colony Club more.

This is by far the prettiest venue there is! Look no further! The room itself is gorgeous, there is not much needed to add except flowers. The staff is so welcoming and helpful. The food is UNREAL. I have never had a better meal at a wedding. I can go on and on... check out this venue. You won't be disappointed. It may be most costly but you don't need to spend a lot decorating so that's a plus! Well worth it I promise!!!

We held our wedding at the Colony Club the first weekend in June. Ashley and Molly were wonderful to work with! The third flood ballroom truly took my breath away, from the moment I saw it I knew it was the place for us! My only complaint is that we had an issue with wedding crashers from the wedding on the fourth floor. I don't think that this is a typical issue, but that that guests at that wedding were not well manored. I had to stop multiple people who were not our guests from entering our cocktail hour, before dinner was served we had an intoxicated groomsmen from the other wedding stumbling around the mezzanine, and at the end of the night my husband had to ask two wedding crashers to leave and go back to the fourth floor wedding. I spoke with Molly about this issue and I truly believe she did her best to deal with the situation. All in all the Colony Club is wonderful but if they are going to host two weddings they need to come up with a plan to keep rowdy guests in their own designated wedding .

The perfect place to have your wedding. Everyone is amazing. The event manager was even helping to clean tables. Everyone commented on how great the food was and how beautiful the room was.

We fell in love with Colony club the minute we stepped into it. The 3rd floor ballroom is beautiful and restored amazing. We loved how it didn't need much to dress it up, just some beautiful flowers to accent the decor. The wedding planning process was so easy with the entire staff here. Lauren and Nicole were so easy to work with and very quick to always respond. We were planning from Chicago and they always worked around our schedule. Our day of planner, Bertha, was so amazing. She made us smile and relax the whole night. The day and night turned out even more perfect than we planned (we planned for almost a year and a half). I would not change one thing about the day and I owe a lot of that to Colony Club. SO SO SO Happy.

I couldn't have pictured a more perfect wedding than what we had experienced at Colony Club. Everything was perfect! We got so many compliments from our guests. All of the employees ensured that we were all happy. The event coordinator was there every step of the way and made sure my drink was full. She even helped with pinning my dress! I would highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for great food, great service, and a great location in Detroit.

I am in awe at our experience with the Colony Club for our wedding reception location. I am smiling just typing this because of the incredible experience we had. The wedding was absolutely perfect, right down from the planning with Lauren who accommodated all of our specials needs, to the staff who provided very prompt and friendly service. Concerned about the food? Don't be, it was amazing! Bertha the event manager especially took care of us the whole night, what a wonderful lady she is. And then there's the hall itself.. it's breathtaking. I am not exaggerating, I have not seen a more beautiful venue. The tall glass windows and decorative walls and ceilings, I felt truly like a princess on my wedding day. It was everything I hoped and dreamed for. All of our guests had an amazing time and the temperature of the room was perfect. We had a winter wedding so I'm not sure how it is in the summer but I cannot speak more highly of our experience. Truly the best day of our lives. Thank you Colony Club!!!

Our wedding was in June of 2015 and The Colony Club really did a fantastic job at meeting my expectations and providing an exceptional experience for everyone on our big day. \r\rI booked the venue over a year in advance and am so glad that I chose the Colony Club for many reasons. The 3rd floor ballroom is breathtaking and the location is conveniently located with plenty of parking. It was very easy to understand pricing and what was included in the \"per head\" cost. The tasting was phenomenal, I was truly surprised by the quality of the food - and yes it was equally as good the day of. Judy and Bill (the day of coordinators) were FANTASTIC! They were very professional and knew exactly how to manage vendors, guests, decorations, etc. I would recommend a day-of coordinator to anyone, and having one provided automatically is one thing that sets the Colony Club apart from other vendors.\r\rMake sure you ask questions to your event coordinator along the way because you only get around an hour at your final meeting. If there was one thing that could have been improved in the planning process it was more frequent check ins from the sales team. They do send automated emails, but it seems like there should be a meeting 3 months out (even if it's only a 30 minute phone call) and then a final meeting.\r\rMake sure you have people to help you \"load out\" at the end of the night as they only allow you an hour to get EVERYTHING out. This is especially challenging for the band - if you are having one. It would have been nice to a have a window of time the next morning to gather decorations that were challenging to transport the night before (i.e. large vases, pedestals).\r\rI was nervous about the heat as I read in some other reviews (and heard from the Colony Club) that the 3rd floor can get uncomfortably warm in the summer because the building is hard to cool. It ended up being 72 degrees and slightly overcast (at the end of June) and the room was a perfect temperature.\r\rAll in all, the Colony Club does a fantastic job at hosting weddings. They have really thought through a lot of details and hold themselves to high standards. Thank you Colony Club!

The Colony Club is a gorgeous venue, and we had a terrific experience planning our wedding with them. The day itself turned out just as we'd hoped, largely due to the attentiveness and professionalism of the staff. We chose the venue about a year in advance, because it was so elegant and because so much is included in the price (food, drink, a space that needs little else in the way of decor, etc). We had our food tasting to pick our wedding meal shortly after booking, and it was SO fun! It's like being at a fancy restaurant. In the end, the food at the wedding was just as good as the food at the tasting, we got so many compliments on it! Loved the juicy steak. Ashley was our event coordinator and Judy was there on the day. Communication with Ashley (and another event coordinator before her, who left), was always smooth. I planned the wedding from another great, so we relied on email and Skype, but Ashley was very flexible and responsive and it really didn't feel much more difficult than planning it from the same city. On the day itself, everything looked just as I wanted it to, and the event ran smoothly. Judy looked after me like a mother hen, asking if she could bring me anything, asking if there was anything she could do. There was champagne and fruit and cheese in the little hidden bridal room waiting for me and the bridesmaids, just one example! Service was so professional, and they interacted wonderfully with the vendors (cake, DJ, florist) to the point where they made all the confirmation calls and I hardly even noticed how much work had gone into it because it all ran like a well-oiled machine. The room looked exquisite with the uplighting (worth the extra charge), and we heard from so many friends/family that our venue was incredibly gorgeous. We were so proud to have our wedding there, it is a truly special place. Literally the only thing I can think is - be aware if you have a larger wedding on the 4th floor (I think 125 is max, we had 100), there's plenty of room for dinner and dancing and ceremony, but the cocktail hour space is small - people were crowded in quite tightly together and it got warm. We didn't have a choice to do it any other way, but we were told 100 people were fine in that space, but it was a bit uncomfortable. But I mean, this is nitpicking. From the minute my limo pulled up and I went upstairs, the Colony Club staff made me feel like a queen, and all the work they'd put in with me for the previous months completely paid off. They made it as easy and relaxing as possible. I would highly, highly recommend this venue to anyone getting married in Detroit.

My daughter's wedding was 10-31-2015. It was magical and truly gorgeous! Thanks to Ashley for the remote planning with our daughter who lives in England, but wanted a wedding in Detroit. Thanks to Judy, our fabulous event manager, who made sure things went perfectly, and modified on the fly as needed. She was perfect! We could not have done it without her. Our guests felt so appreciative of the beauty that surrounded them and the wonderful food (we got many compliments). It was an elegant classy wedding that also felt friendly and cozy, despite the upscale venue. Thanks also to the rest of the staff who did a wonderful job of serving, bartending, and meeting our needs! You will not go wrong to choose the Colony Club for your wedding! Our wedding was in 10-17-15. I have to say everyone was absolutely amazed by how gorgeous and grand the colony club is. When we arrived at our hall, it took my breath away. They are very organized, and it's obviously when speaking with them, they know exactly what needs to be done. I had an absolute wonderful experience working with Ashley and Judy. I would highly recommend the colony club for a wedding venue. My guests are still telling me it was one of the most beautiful weddings they have ever attended. I still have not heard one complaint! The Colony Club was absolutely wonderful! Truly THANK YOU to you and all of the staff. Especially Lauren and Judy. Everyone was amazing. I felt ZERO worry working with your team the whole way through. The event was amazing! Our family and friends cannot stop raving about how wonderful everything was - from the service, the food, obviously the venue - just everything! Our parents are so pleased with the service they received as well. Judy was incredibly attentive to all of us! Our waiter (i am terribly sorry, i forgot his name) was absolutely perfect!! We had him at our tasting as well and was hoping he would work our wedding. \r\rWe all know the Colony Club is just beautiful and i'm so honored to have held our wedding there. I am more pleased with how happy everyone was. It just shows that the whole team was on point and worked their butts off! \r\rThe entire staff was so complementary and sweet during the whole day as well. I keep hearing horror stories from others that had gotten married (other venues, not the CC) and I feel honored to say that I have no horror stories! \r\rI cannot imagine any other wedding.

Our wedding at the Colony Club was absolutely perfect! Everyone we worked with, from our sales managers Lauren and Nicole to our Banquet Manager Bertha were incredibly attentive and wonderful to work with. A number of guests even told us our meal was not only the best \"wedding food\" they have ever had, but one guest even told us it was the best meal she has ever had anywhere. We were so impressed by the entire staff and cannot thank them enough for such a perfect night!

I know this goes without saying but planning a wedding can be pretty overwhelming to say the least. In this day and age it can be really difficult to narrow down a style or theme. My husband and I decided to try and start with the place and go from there. When I came across The Colony Club it was love at first sight. The price was perfect, lots of bang for your buck and we saved loads on decorations because the place speaks for itself! Our friends and family were blown away before they even stepped foot inside just like we were! The food was phenomenal! We had guests hovering at one of our food stations because they could not get enough! The staff was wonderful and super easy to work with from the initial consultation to our goodbyes the night of. Our event coordinator was one of the most amazing people I have ever had the honor knowing and she will always have a warm place in our hearts. Her and her staff took incredible care of my husband and I and every single one of our guests. The Colony Club was the BEST place for us to have spent the BEST day of our lives! The PERFECT place for the PERFECT day :-)

I had to wait 14 months to have my wedding reception at the Colony Club, but it was TOTALLY worth the wait. The sales team and wedding coordinators ensured I would have NOTHING to worry about. I did not worry for one minute. It was the best. I hated planning the wedding towards the end of my engagement, but I have to say the stress paid off! I can't imagine having it anywhere else. It was classic, gorgeous, and it was so Detroit. The food was delish, which is often hard to accomplish with weddings. Everyone had a blast and I highly recommend using CC for your wedding! L

We toured several wedding venues in Detroit when making our decision, and nothing compared to the Colony Club. The 3rd floor ballroom is gorgeous and perfect for a reception. The mezzanine floor with the balcony is also such a unique feature and made for a very exciting entrance! The bride's and groom's rooms on that floor were also such a nice feature, especially having a bathroom available for the bridal party to use and appetizers and drinks readily available. We rented the 4th floor ballroom as well for our ceremony, which worked perfectly, is gorgeous, and allowed for a much more intimate space. The biggest surprise to me on the day-of was just how incredible the staff was. Everything was set up perfectly, cleaned and packed up at the end of the night without me even thinking of it, and our champagne glasses never got under half-full. Everything was perfect - best decision that we made!!

The Colony Club was insanely perfect. On the wedding day, it looked better than I could have ever imagined. I cannot describe how beautiful everything was. Also, the staff made my day stress-free. They were so kind and thought of everything so I didn't have to. Bill, the 4th floor coordinator, and Tracy our waitress, were wonderful and really made our wedding day perfect.

The Colony Club is a fantastic wedding venue. This stunning space draws you in with its ornate gold architecture, hardwood floors and balcony's fit for a princess. It's real beauty, however, isn't seen at first glance. It's behind the scenes with it's amazing staff. \rThe entire staff at the Colony Club were so fabulous to work with. They were friendly, helpful and organized throughout the entire wedding process. I never worried about anything and was able to enjoy my entire wedding reception stress free!\rGuests raved about the food and incredible service all night long!\rThey made our BIG day so easy and special from start to finish!

If you are looking for a classic, romantic, and completely over-the-top beautiful setting - look no further. The Colony Club is truly a gem. The food is amazing and none of your guests will be hungry. My only complaint was that the service was great, but not amazing. Our speeches ran a little long and by the waiters body language and conversation, you could tell that they were beyond annoyed with that, not being able to bring out the food exactly according to plan. We didn't really appreciate that but other than that- no complaints. Gorgeous! Worth every penny, our pictures are amazing and we had SO many people tell us that it was the prettiest place that they had ever been to for a reception.

I was married at the Colony Club on 12/31/13 and worked most closely with Lauren, Nicole and Bertha. Everyone was accommodating, patient, professional, personal and easy to reach via phone and e-mail.\r\rWe booked The Colony Club within weeks of our engagement after seeing pictures online and realizing the space is even more beautiful in person. The food was fantastic, they worked well with our vendors and our guests had the best time at our wedding.

AMAZING! We just had our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception on the new 4th floor. The Colony Club exceeded my expectations (which is something to say, because I'm a type A perfectionist). It is a beautiful venue, even without additional decor. Nicole and Alyssa were wonderful! They were organized, personable, professional, always in contact with great suggestions. Our day of consultant Judy was outstanding. She helped calm everyone's nerves, ran a smooth event thanks to a great rehearsal. She checked on my husband and I continuously, and made us feel so special. The head server was fabulous. He was professional, personable, and quick. The colony club is the best venue in southeast Michigan.

This venue far exceeded my dreams of having a beautiful wedding. Once I saw it, I knew I had to have my wedding here. It was almost perfect except a few issues. First, we were told the Event Manager would be available to help us through the ceremony with timing, logistics, etc. When the time actually came to walk down the aisle though, she was no where to be found. This could have been disastrous but thankfully my dad is a minister and helped all of the bridal party (including 3 small flower girls)get down the aisle beautifully. Second, the food we tried at the tasting and chose for our wedding was delicious and tasty. On the day-of, the beef had a completely different sauce that was bland and pretty much awful. It basically ruined that part of the meal. The salmon was good. \rOverall, if I had to do it all over again, without a doubt I would choose this venue again. It was stunning and many people commented about the uniqueness and beauty of the venue. It has a perfect location for taking gorgeous pictures downtown and is a very memorable place. I probably would not order the beef though...

The Colony Club was absolutely amazing. When planning our wedding we looked at nearly every venue in Detroit (and the surrounding areas). The moment we walked in, we knew it was THE PLACE!! The main ballroom is absolutely gorgeous and their new 4th floor space (where we had our ceremony) fits in great! I cannot say enough good things about the staff. The sales staff were so patient with (and quick to respond to) my millions of questions during the planning process. The staff the day of was on top of everything - it all came out perfectly! We did the grand package and the food turned out wonderful - definitely recommend those chicken wings for cocktail hour! Overall, the Colony Club helps make our day amazing.

My wedding at the Colony Club was perfect. And when I say perfect I mean beyond my wildest dreams. I am a, shall we say... picky person... and being picky as well as being a Graphic Designer leads to me to an unfortunate situation where nothing is ever good enough. I always find fault with colors, ambiance, lighting, etc. Rarely am I fully satisfied with anything, especially visual things like design or decor. \rHowever, my wedding at the Colony Club was absolutely 100% perfect. I honestly could not have dreamt of a more beautiful or more perfect wedding. When we walked into the ballroom for our first look at the room, tears filled my eyes and I was speechless. My husband and I just stared at each other, dumbfounded at how AMAZING the room looked. It was the most beautiful thing we had EVER seen. We knew that the Colony Club was gorgeous and we had seen it many times but once you see it all made up for your event, it is just……… see even now I am speechless. My only regret is that I cannot LIVE in that ballroom forever. The warmth, the light and the opulence was like a dream. \r\rOn top of the beauty of the venue the staff is AMAZING. Nicole works tirelessly to make sure you have a perfect event. She was there through thick and thin and truly wanted me to love my wedding. Lauren and the wedding sales team were there to answer all of my many (many!) questions and requests via email. And on the wedding day itself, the staff was just mind-blowing.. they had a team of people making sure the wedding party was happy and that everything was perfect. Judy was the absolute best and most wonderful person, she was there from start to finish. I felt so much love and care from her, I knew that she would do everything in her power to make my day wonderful, and it was. I am so grateful to all of them, thank you guys so very much for everything!!!\r\rOn top of THAT the food is the best food that I have ever had at a wedding. It is so good that it unfair to even put it in the category of \"wedding food.\" The food of the Colony Club and Gem Theater is better than many expensive restaurants that I have been too. The halibut and filet are heaven. I just wish my wedding dress wasn't a corset so I could have eaten more!!!! \r\rWords cannot fully describe how prefect The Colony Club is. Our wedding exceeded our wildest dreams. Our guests were so happy and so blown away that EVERY single person that I spoke to that night just went on and on about what a fantastic place it was and how great the food was. It was so wonderful.\r\rMy advice if you are thinking of the Colony Club is to do everything in your power to have your wedding there. I know it books far in advance, it is 100% worth the wait. I know it is more expensive than other places, it is 100% worth the price. The Colony Club is by FAR the best venue not only in the city of Detroit but, in my opinion, in the whole state of Michigan.

The Colony Club is a beautiful venue! The food was amazing and the service couldn't have been better. Many people told us this was the most beautiful/best wedding they have ever been to - except for the heat! I don't know what the problem with the AC was but it was at least 80 degrees inside the club during our entire wedding (ceremony/reception). I later found out this is a reoccurring problem but the sales team does not warn you about it ahead of time. When I told the sales team afterwards their only response was \"we are working on making it cooler in the warmer months.\" We were very disappointed that we spent SO much money and were literally dripping sweat the entire evening. I would recommend avoiding the Colony Club in the summer months!

The Colony Club is worth every penny! Their event staff is amazing and so helpful to work with. The staff is so accommodating and professional. We received SO many compliments on the food and service. The third floor ballroom itself is so grand, other decorations are hardly needed. We are still hearing from guests what a great time they had! I did not have to worry about a single thing. Judy was the biggest help the day of my wedding and anything I needed she made happen! Alan was also amazing and served my drinks without me even noticing he had set them down. You absolutely cannot go wrong with the Colony Club! The venue is so charming and gorgeous; the staff is amazing. I am SO glad I was able to have my wedding here!

The Colony Club is the perfect downtown venue to have a wedding. We used the beautiful 4th floor ballroom for our ceremony and it was perfect. For the reception we moved down to the 3rd floor ballroom which is absolutely breathtaking. Our guests were blown away. \r\rThe staff was very helpful from the start of the planning process until the end of the reception. Nicole, Judy and Bertha were great, and ensured a stress free day. They worked with our vendors to make sure everything went off without a hitch. Once we arrived on the wedding day they took care of everything so that we were able to enjoy the day.

The Colony Club is absolutely stunning, there is nothing like it in Detroit. So many of my guests were just blown away with how beautiful the main ballroom is. I also used the petite ballroom for my ceremony and it was perfect. The staff was so helpful, I worked mainly with Alyssa, Judy and Nicole and all of them were extremely friendly and easy to work with. They made wedding planning so much fun! The service the night of the wedding was great, the food was delicious, I seriously have nothing bad to say about them. If you're planning your wedding in downtown this is the place! You will not find anything better.

During our wedding planning, I've seen a lot of banquet halls and facilities but nothing has compared to the Colony Club Detroit..a gem in the heart of the city. We booked our wedding date based on their availability and we have no regrets at all. Service was fantastic, the whole staff especially Nicole Lakatos, Judy, Bertha and Mohammed surpassed all our expectations and we couldn't be happier. The food tasting was awesome and our reception was a feast..everything was delicious. We always look back on our photos and we couldn't still believe that we got married at theColony Club and how beautiful and elegant our wedding was. Its worth all the money we paid for. The best in town and its proven!!!
