The Coronado is a wedding venue in St. Louis, MO, with a reputation for elegance and a vibrant atmosphere. Temporarily closed for a time, the hotel eventually reopened after considerable refurbishment to the public at the start of the century. I had a wonderful experience hosting my wedding at the Coronado. The space is beautiful, and Butler's Pantry is a very well oiled machine. My event managers, Caroline and Tyler, were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and accommodating. They were receptive to all of my requests and even helped me anticipate things I did consider when planning my wedding. You can tell they know weddings inside and out - which is extremely helpful if you, like many people, have never planned a wedding before! My guests all reported back to me that the food was delicious and the waitstaff and bartenders were friendly. Also, as a bonus, all of my other vendors were very familiar with Butler's Pantry and the Coronado, so everyone knew what to expect when working with them. Highly recommend hosting your wedding at the Coronado.

I recently had my wedding at the Coronado, and I am so pleased with how everything turned out. I worked with Lauren & Kaitlyn, and they were very responsive and wanted to accommodate all of our wishes & requests. For example, our salad course had goat cheese in it, and I mentioned at our tasting that I wasnât a fan of goat cheese but knew other people would really like it. Lauren & Kaitlyn took note and made sure that my salad had the goat cheese removed. And speaking of the food, it exceeded our expectations. Several of our guests said that it was the best wedding food theyâve ever had. The Coronado was also super accommodating towards our guests with food allergies (e.g., giving our guest with a gluten allergy a gluten-free version of our ravioli dish). It goes without saying that the ballroom is beautiful and wowed our guests too. Overall, the Coronado is an exceptional spot to hold your reception, and I highly recommend it to other brides to be.

We used The Coronado for our Wedding Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception. Simply put, it was THE BEST decision we could have made. Tasha and Lindsey were so, so, so, SOOO patient and helpful and brought my Wife's vision to life in a way we couldn't have even imagined. The Venue itself is stunning but with all the wedding touches, it truly transforms into the perfect place for a wedding. Small, but important things, like free coat-check/valet service, spacious bathrooms, plenty of TVs, and more ensured our guests were comfortable and well-taken care of throughout our wedding. I don't know if there's a better wedding venue in the St. Louis Area, and I doubt there are better people to work with than Lindsey/Tasha and Butler's Pantry.

The Coronado Ballroom and Butlers Pantry catering were without a doubt the best decision we made throughout our entire wedding process. We had our ceremony and reception of 190 people in this venue and it was absolutely perfect. Tasha and Lindsey were our main contacts and they were always fantastic to work with!!! The whole night the servers and bartender made sure my husband and I were very well taken care of, anything we wanted, we were given. This amazing company just goes above and beyond every single time and were a HUGE part of why our wedding day was absolutely perfect. We love the Coronado and Butlers Pantry!!!!!

The Coronado Ballroom and Butlers Pantry catering were without a doubt the best decision we made throughout our entire wedding process. They were so helpful with all aspects of the planning process and were so quick to respond to any and all questions. We had our daughter's reception at the Coronado on July 9 2022. Tasha and Tyler were wonderful leading up to the event and the servers, bartenders, and valet staff were so professional and friendly. The space was absolutely beautiful and the food by Butler's Pantry was outstanding. Our guests were blown away by the whole experience. I can't imagine a better space for a reception!

I can't say enough about the beauty of the Coronado. I wanted a grand, historic venue, and I got it! The team at Coronado/Butler's Pantry really wants the best for each wedding and it shows. My guests had an amazing experience. Everything was as it was supposed to be except for one or two very minor nit-picky things that don't change it being a 5-star experience (like a covering for kitchen doors during the ceremony). I highly recommend the Coronado for any event and I hope I get to go back soon!

I could not recommend using The Coronado and the Butlerâs Pantry team more. We had our wedding reception at The Coronado on 12/31/21 and it could not have been more perfect. The space was absolutely incredible, the food was amazing, and it was truly more than I could have ever imagined. I couldnât believe how gorgeous the space was when we walked in. I wanted elegant, romantic, and a timeliness feel to our reception and they absolutely nailed it. Caroline and Bridget with Butlerâs Pantry made the entire wedding planning process so fun. From meeting at the space, reviewing place settings, answering all of my questions (they respond to you ASAP) and the wedding tasting, they could not have been attentive, responsive, and overall just fantastic to work with and they brought my entire vision to life. There are so many decisions to make when planning your wedding and to find a vendor you trust 100% with every decision and detail was the best decision we made. RUN to book your wedding reception with The Coronado and with Caroline and Bridget. This venue is incredible! The coordinators are wonderful people to work with and made planning our reception so easy! I do have some suggestions for the coordinators as well as future brides. Be prepared to plan the reception at the tasting because I was a little caught off guard and emotional about some details that hadnât been finalized. Give yourself plenty of time for pictures. I wish our parentsâ tables hadnât been in the corner at our reception so make sure to clarify that detail. This venue is incredible! The coordinators are wonderful people to work with and made planning our reception so easy! I do have some suggestions for the coordinators as well as future brides. Be prepared to plan the reception at the tasting because I was a little caught off guard and emotional about some details that hadnât been finalized. Give yourself plenty of time for pictures. I wish our parentsâ tables hadnât been in the corner at our reception so make sure to clarify that detail. Finally, make sure thereâs enough champagne available because it was very hard for my maid of honor to find a glass for me after dinner was over. The Coronado speaks for itself with its gorgeous elegance and we were thrilled with the venue. Chelsea and Tasha at the Coronado were incredible! They answered all of our questions quickly and were very organized. All of our guests raved about the food from Butler's Pantry which was so yummy. Some of our guests even asked for a second serving at dinner (ha!) At the tasting, we had a hard time selecting menu items because everything was amazing! We opted for the seated service and we were impressed how quickly the food was served and no one was waiting around for their food. The servers were top-notch and provided hors dâoeuvres at the head table for my husband and me in case we didn't get the opportunity to snack before the reception. They also boxed up our top tier (we provided the box, and we had to wrap our cake when we got home) and provided us with a few slices of cake too. Also, the cake was cut by Butlerâs Pantry and beautifully served with additional fruit. They made sure my husband and I were taken care of during the reception and it was a wonderful evening. One thing we noticed was that the reception hall got hot throughout the night, but that's most likely because our guests all danced the night away.

They were so easy to communicate with and they never got annoyed at all our questions :) They made this process so much easier for me and were ready to explain anything I needed. Not only did they make the planning process easy but they made the day easy! I kept waiting for something to go wrong and it never did - they took care of EVERYTHING and it went better than I could have imagined. When I started looking for a venue, I had a vision of something modern yet timeless. I searched long and hard before coming across The Coronado's website. Immediately I knew this is where I was going to celebrate one of the greatest days of my life. The venue itself is bright, with large spaces surrounded by chandeliers, unique furniture and of course the breathtaking ballroom. The best part is that you get to use as much or as little of the spaces as you would like. You are the only event the entire evening so the venue is all yours! Next, Butler's Pantry catering is the THE BEST in St. Louis. There are so many different food options to pick from. There are unique selections like Peeking Duck Egg-roll appetizers to an Arugula Salad with a Brie Cheese Wedge and Almond Slices and the most tender Beef Medallion for dinner. All my guests can talk about was how amazing the food was and how magical the venue was that evening. To top it all off, the Butler's Pantry staff (specifically Brittany Morlan & Stephanie Stack) made every step of the planning process absolutely flawless. They answered all emails immediately, checked in periodically to make sure I was doing okay with the planning process, and even made sure to ask about little details I otherwise would have overlooked. They handled all of the vendor scheduling, set up and removal. All of our gifts and cards were locked away safely all night while our guests danced the night away. At the end of the night, the staff helped clear out anything we personally brought and got everything organized before hand so it was a smooth departure. We also utilized the valet service so our guests would not have to worry about parking or walking to their cars after the reception. From one former bride to new brides - if you want the wedding of your dreams, a venue that brings the magic without having to do much decorating at all, food that guests will talk about for years to come, a stress free planning process with staff you will trust to make it all happen - there is no other choice. The Coronado will take your breath away.

If you want a fairytale wedding THE CORONADO IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! We did both our ceremony and wedding at the Coronado and it was perfect and catered to us personally. Tasha was truly my fairy god mother and was a life saver! She truly took care of everything and made sure to keep us on track. The wedding planning and process was so easy with her help. She puts her clients first and listens to your vision and wants your day to be perfect for you. Butlers pantry was also fabulous! We used butler pantryâs design studio for all our flowers, center pieces, ceremony decorations, ect. So it was fabulous to not have to worry about decorating because they do it all for you! The Coronado is EVERYTHING! As soon as we walked in I knew having our wedding there would be a dream- and that it was! The cocktail hour room has so much detail and the ballroom is absolutely stunning. The acoustics are perfect and the food was delicious! While the venue and food were both perfection, the staff is really what made our entire wedding a dream. Tasha was there from the beginning of the entire process to the very end of our wedding night- she is everything and more! The Coronado is EVERYTHING! As soon as we walked in I knew having our wedding there would be a dream- and that it was! The cocktail hour room has so much detail and the ballroom is absolutely stunning. The acoustics are perfect and the food was delicious! While the venue and food were both perfection, the staff is really what made our entire wedding a dream. Tasha was there from the beginning of the entire process to the very end of our wedding night- she is everything and more! Tasha is extremely personable, very organized, and quick to respond to anything throughout the entire year! She always had the best recomendations and helped tough decision making easy! Such a beautiful, classic ballroom with a swanky, eclectic cocktail space - so cool! In addition to that, the packages are really great. Not having to outsource for anything other than entertainment, florals, etc. was awesome. Butlers Pantry deliverers delicious food, many of our guests raved about how good it was! The in-house coordinators Tasha Irving-Davis & Caroline Behan are very good at what they do - always understanding, considerate and helpful! We always had confidence in Tasha and Caroline and it was so nice to have them a part of our wedding team! If youâre considering the Coronado - do it! You will be so happy!

We toured a lot of venues in St. Louis and this one is by far the most dramatic and versatile. The Coronado is a fantastic space for a variety of wedding sizes. We had both our ceremony and reception there and it was a breathtaking space. The architecture was breathtaking. My only complaint really comes from the frequent turnover of the coordinators. I am not sure if my wedding just came at a time where there was transition within Butler's Pantry but we ended up having 3 coordinators between the time we booked and the day of our event (approx a year's time). Each coordinator was great; but in terms of keeping track of vendors and managing the day of the event, I felt I needed to hire a month-of coordinator to ensure consistency and that details weren't missed. The service on the day of the event was great and my guests commented how thoughtful the waitstaff and bartenders were. The food was very consistent with our tasting and the appetizers in particular were wonderful. Overall a fantastic space that wowed my guests and one I would suggest to others!

We celebrated our wedding here on 2/3/18 and we can't say enough good things about our experience. Tasha Irving-Davis was awesome to work with and made the whole process so enjoyable. The staff was wonderful and our guests raved about the bartenders and wait staff. All professional and prompt. Because of them the evening's timeline went just as planned and even better. The food was amazing and the steaks were a big hit. Many of our guests said it was the best steak they've had in awhile, what a compliment when your cooking for 268 guests! I cannot say enough good things about the Coronado Ballroom. Not only is it a beautiful venue that gave me amazing pictures and video footage, but the staff and set up were incredible. I was surprised at how easy the Coronado made the \"Wedding Planning\" process because of how chaotic people make it out to be. It really was quite easy and they made sure to accommodate my busy schedule and were very open and understanding of my 'wants' as a Bride. I got SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on the food and how beautiful everything was. Courtney K. was the coordinator for my event and she went above and beyond to make sure that my day was everything I wanted it to be. She always answered emails promptly, detailed my contract and made changes when I asked her to. She made me feel so comfortable with her organization of the rehearsal and she orchestrated the wedding day perfectly. I appreciate how present Courtney was the entire day and that she did all the little things that really make a difference in how the day played out. The Ballroom is stunning and took our breath away the night of our reception (we might have even shed a tear or two!). The service is impeccable and we cannot say enough kind words about our experience. Rob Schaefer made our whole experience and planning process simple and relaxing. My mother and I like to worry about all details and Rob made it so there was nothing to worry about. The evening was executed perfectly and our friends & family have all told us what an amazing time they had. The food from Butler's Pantry was THE best wedding meal I have ever had. If you are interested in a late night meal/snack, I would recommend the chocolate chip cookies. I still have friends that talk about how delicious the cookies were - so they are a must have! The bartenders were amazing and friends commented that there was never a line or wait - a detail that was very important to my husband and me. There is no amount of words to describe exactly how perfect the Coronado Ballroom was for our wedding reception. For starters, it has been recently renovated to enhance the already gorgeous space. The new aesthetic is so elegant, yet eclectic â keeping the gorgeous original ceilings and floors and mixing it with a modern (gigantic!) bar and furniture. It provided the perfect back drop for drinking, dinner, and dancing. We didnât want the night to end.The Coronado was the first (and only) venue that we looked at. It was so stunning, that we booked it the next day. He listened to what we wanted and then offered up some wonderful suggestions (like the late night snacks and dusty rose tablecloths) to make the evening even better than we could have expected â everything was just perfect. And to make things even better, the food was unbelievable, and the flourless chocolate cake was to. die. for. We thought about possibly doing a wedding cake, but after trying the chocolate cake at the tasting, we knew we wanted to go with that option instead. Everyone raved about how delicious it was â many admitting they wanted another serving :) I could go on for days about how wonderful this wedding venue is, but I will spare you. ;) If youâre planning a wedding, I highly recommend visiting this space to see for yourself. There is no amount of words to describe exactly how perfect the Coronado Ballroom was for our wedding reception. For starters, it has been recently renovated to enhance the already gorgeous space. The new aesthetic is so elegant, yet eclectic â keeping the gorgeous original ceilings and floors and mixing it with a modern (gigantic!) bar and furniture. It provided the perfect back drop for drinking, dinner, and dancing. We didnât want the night to end.The Coronado was the first (and only) venue that we looked at. It was so stunning, that we booked it the next day. My husband and I had the most beautiful reception at the Coronado on 3/12/16. The space is obviously breathtaking but an additional perk was that we did not have to do much decorating--only centerpieces and table flowers. The food was absolutely amazing and there are a lot of options to pick from. Above everything, working with Rob and Liz, the event coordinators, was by far the best part about booking this venue. I live in Oklahoma, and they were so amazingly helpful and supportive. They were always friendly and answered any and every question I had. They are extremely professional and are very good at what they do. If you book the Coronado, you can be 100% sure that you will have a classy, elegant wedding with wonderful food and amazing staff at your side. Our guests raved about the space--in fact, they clapped when they saw the ballroom for the first time, and they still have not stopped talking about what a great time they had. A Magical Venue for a Magical Day!\r\rWhere do I even begin with writing a review for a venue and staff that far exceeded our expectations for our wedding day? My husband and I, along with my parents, had an incredible experience working with Rob. His attention to detail made every single part of our big day on New Year's Eve magical, to say the least. We had both our ceremony and reception at The Coronado. We had a musician for the ceremony who played a non-traditional wedding song for the processional and Rob helped make the timing impeccable. It was our favorite part of the entire day. There wasn't a dry eye in the room. Once the reception started and my husband and I made it to our sweetheart table, we found that the remaining wine (my husband's favorite) used for communion was already at our table. When we were walking around mingling while guests were beginning to be served dinner, the staff made sure to leave our plates covered so our food would remain hot until we returned back to our seats. While these details seem small in the grand scheme of things, it only helped add the perfect touch and make our day even more memorable. Rob and the staff literally thought of everything to help our day go smoothly. Our guests were extremely impressed with the beauty of the venue and professionalism of the staff. When looking for a wedding venue my husband and I struggled finding the best location for our vision and guest list size. A friend recommend we check out the Coronado. There is no denying its beauty and elegance from the moment you walk in the door. After saying yes to the location we hit some bumps along the way. A few months in there was a transition period resulting in a communication break down. Once back on track, things went well until the rehearsal. I was less than impressed with the professionalism of the Executive Sales Director through out the wedding weekend. His attitude reflected that we were imposing on him and his time instead of him being there for us. His curt attitude towards not only the bridal party but our guests was a great disappointment. During the ceremony there was laughter and talking coming from the waitstaff in the ballroom, guests have commented on this. Prior to the start of the reception, the lights were flickered to the point guests made comments on this also. Our guests were told they didn't need their escort cards, they just needed to sit down (these were part of their favors). Our guest book was disassembled to the point it didn't serve the purpose we designed it to. Additionally guests were reprimanded for using the restroom at certain times or attempting to talk to me when the Executive Sales Director was trying to get my attention. I wish the professionalism of the Executive Sales Director reflected the same as the beauty of the venue.

Yet, no single word can adequately convey how blown away we were by the experience. We are of the belief that while the enjoyment of a wedding day is most important for the bride and groom, it is also important to ensure that the guests who have offered so much support over the years that got you to this day are given an enjoyable evening as well.\r\rWhen we scheduled a visit to the Coronado, we honestly did not expect to like it. We thought we were looking for something more modern in the industrial type style that seems to be so trendy. But I am perfectly happy to admit that we were wrong.\r\rWe had no idea what we wanted, because when we first walked into the lobby at the Coronado, we fell in love. We knew immediately that this was the perfect location for which we were looking. It is a gorgeous venue that is classy and open. The cocktail area is well lit and contains a piano and a bar. It was a perfect precursor to the beautiful ballroom where we and our guests would be spending the remainder of the evening dancing, conversing and having the time of our lives. \r\rFurther, the food was the absolute best food I have ever eaten at a wedding. From the salad to the entrĂŠe, to the presentation of our wedding cake, I am confident in saying you cannot find better. Going into the tasting, I had heard a lot of good things about the food. But we thought that was relative to \"wedding food.\" We were wrong again. The Coronado gives the best restaurants in St. Louis a run for their money. And its not just us saying that, our guests confirmed it.\r\rAnd then there is Rob Schaefer, the director and MVP of the Coronado. He puts the \"P\" in professional. He understands the importance of a wedding day, and immediately after meeting him we had the utmost confidence that he would ensure our day was perfect. My husband and I were married at the Coronado and had a luncheon in the ballroom following the ceremony. It was just like a fairy tale. The ballroom is gorgeous and Rob, the coordinator, took care of every last detail. The whole event exceeded our expectations and we still receive compliments on how beautiful it all was. My one, very small, complaint is about the parking situation. If you do not want your guests to have to do street parking in the city you will either need to pay for the garage or valet parking. That was an extra expense that was not made completely clear to us at the beginning. But the Coronado Ballroom was worth it!

Rob was our wedding coordinator and he made it so easy for us â I donât think I can stress this enough â he really is the best. Neither my fiancĂŠ nor I had much of an idea of what we wanted. We gave Rob a few small ideas and he came up with this wonderful vision that we could never have imagined and certainly would not have never come up with on our own. The food and cake were delicious. Having the venue, caterer, and baker in the same place was really convenient because you have fewer venders to select and coordinate with. We also received recommendations for other vendors that all worked out great. I've heard so many people say they donât remember or didnât have fun at their own wedding, we both had so much fun because everything was perfect and there really was nothing we had to worry about.

Rob was wonderful to partner with for our big day. He was great at keeping me sane and his attention to detail, ideas, and overall demeanor made this truly an experience we will never forget. The room was beautiful and everything looked fantastic! The professionalism of everyone we worked with was second to none and we have had numerous compliments about what a great event we had. It was a lovely, elegant wedding - which is exactly what we hoped to have. Rob made the evening run smoothly, and I knew we didn't have to worry about a thing!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Coronado and we loved every minute! We can't think of anything that we would do differently or that could have gone better. Rob was wonderful to partner with for our big day. He was great at keeping me sane and his attention to detail, ideas, and overall demeanor made this truly an experience we will never forget. The room was beautiful and everything looked fantastic! The professionalism of everyone we worked with was second to none and we have had numerous compliments about what a great event we had. It was a lovely, elegant wedding - which is exactly what we hoped to have. Rob made the evening run smoothly, and I knew we didn't have to worry about a thing!

Our daughter had her wedding reception at the Coronado and we cannot think of anything that we would do differently or that could have gone better. Rob was great to work with. His attention to detail, his ideas, and creativity made this truly an evening that we and our guests will never forget. The room was stunning and everything looked absolutely perfect! The food was fabulous and we had many compliments. We even had compliments about the servers being so attentive and pleasant!! So many of our guests have said that they have never been to such an elegant wedding - which is exactly what we wanted!! Even the valet service was flawless. And knowing Rob was in charge that evening my husband and I were able to enjoy the evening. Yes! We would choose the Coronado again!!!

Our daughter had her wedding reception at the Coronado and we cannot think of anything that we would do differently or that could have gone better. Rob was great to work with. The food was fabulous and we had many compliments. We even had compliments about the servers being so attentive and pleasant!! So many of our guests have said that they have never been to such an elegant wedding - which is exactly what we wanted!! Even the valet service was flawless. And knowing Rob was in charge that evening my husband and I were able to enjoy the evening. Yes! We would choose the Coronado again!!!

I'm a bride from NY, and planning my wedding from far away started off as a nightmare. Most venues in STL were cookie cutter nothing felt special at all. I saw many places before I went to the Coronado.\r\rI liked the pictures from their site, but wasn't overly enthusiastic. I was stunned when I saw it in person. It's is breath taking, and if you're like me and constantly considering photo opportunities, this is the place for you. \r\rThe only thing better then the over all appearance, is Rob Schaefer the coordinator. His vision is amazing. He walked me through the whole thing and kept me calm and comfortable through the whole planning process. The day of the wedding I was able to just leave everything in his hands and have complete confidence. It was a relaxing day where most brides get stressed. \r\rThe food was amazing I have never been to a wedding were I truly enjoyed the food and felt I was getting my monies worth. The entire staff was so friendly and just made my night easy. \r\rI can't praise this place enough. They went above and beyond in every aspect. Decorating, the food, the cake, overall just coordination of the night. If you want your fairy tale wedding go to the Coronado.

This venue was exactly what my husband and I were looking for and together with our vendors and Rob's expertise, we were able to have our vision come to life. So much so that we were moved to tears upon seeing the room for the first time at the reception. He is a true visionary and one of the best in his profession! The Coronado Ballroom is one of the most unique and beautiful venues in St. Louis. If you are looking for a glamorous ballroom, but don't want to feel like you are in a run-of-the-mill hotel banquet room, then this just cannot be beat. The golden hues and incredible architecture are so beautiful that you do not need any decorations. \r\rThe menu selections and food are simply incredible. I had so many guests tell me they had never had food that good at a wedding. The cake was delicious and gorgeous.\r\rThe best part of the Coronado though is the service. Chantal made everything so easy during the planning process. And on the day of the wedding, I cannot describe how helpful she was. She coordinated with all my vendors. She set up all my personal photos and decor so that it was perfect when I arrived. She kept everything on schedule. When someone stomped on my toe, she was there with a band-aid. She was always checking in on me to make sure I was having a good time and not worrying about silly details. \r\rMy wedding day was perfect. And the Coronado and Chantal are to thank. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The Coronado Ballroom is one of the most unique and beautiful venues in St. Louis. Choosing the Coronado for our daughter's reception was the best decision we made. Chantal handled every detail perfectly and when we walked in the ballroom it was even better than we could have hoped for from our personal items perfectly arranged, the linens, coordination with all our vendors and excellent service all night long. The Coronado is a beautiful and unique venue. The food and beautiful wedding cake were outstanding and we received so many compliments from our guests. The Coronado handled everything for us so we were free to enjoy the reception. Highly recommend for a beautiful and stress-free reception.

We had a little bit of a bumpy starts with our coordinator,but once we got her attention, everything was fabulous. They were one top of every detail and we felt very comfortable, and relaxed. The food is beyond compare and menu selections are wonderful. It is not the cheapest place in town, but you get what you pay for. All in all I would say very, very pleased.

My husband and I are so happy with our choice to hold our wedding at the Coronado Ballroom. The venue was absolutely perfect. Chantal was incredibly easy to work with, and patient with all of my indecisiveness! She really seemed to understand what I liked, and helped with every single detail, from table linens to a groom's cake that my husband (and everyone) raved about! My daughter had her wedding reception at The Coronado on 7-26-14 and it was an outstanding event! Rob Schaefer's experience and expertise are an awesome resource. My daughter Sarah had her own vision and Rob's enthusiasm and feedback guided us forward making our personal choices and statement. Everything about The Coronado is first class~the venue, food, service and ambiance. They answered all my questions in the planning stages and took care of those important details on the wedding day. Rob also has a great relationship with local vendors and makes sure everything is coordinated for your event. He's also on site during your event to assure all is running smoothly. The wait staff is well trained, courteous and professional. You also get the opportunity at your tasting to meet the head chef and pastry chef who do an outstanding job with their culinary creations. The Coronado itself is a historic, architectural gem with the elegant Grand Lobby, the Bradshaw Room and the magnificent Ballroom. Since I donât know where to begin let me start from the heart. It just seems like yesterday when my daughter and now son-in-law got married that day in May. It is all still so vivid in my mind; a testimony that I didnât want that Magical evening to endâŚall so PERFECT thanks to ROB SCHAEFER and the majestic Coronado Ballroom venue. Working with Rob at the Coronado was the best wedding investment we made. Since we never hosted a wedding before, Rob was able to recommend vendors who he worked with and trusted from bands to lighting and from flowers to ice sculptures with many choices. This was a tremendous help! Weddings can be expensive but my husband and I agree that it was worth every pennyâŚas the Life Long Memories of ours, our daughter and son-in-law and all the family & friends that evening are PRICELESS!\r This event will be talked about for years to come as memories of a lifetime were made that night. The wait staff was exquisite and the amazing choreographed service really added class and elegance to our fabulous evening. The food was out of this world as you could cut the steak with a fork and the other items which were prepared to perfection and so delicious âŚmy hat off to the master chef and pastry chef for such superb food and presentation. \r Rob at one time came to us to make sure all was going smoothly that night. He was so respectable and treated us like ROYALTY!! It was evident that Rob has it all under control. We never had to worry about a thing and what a MAGNIFICENT feeling that is to be worry-free the whole evening. I will always remember Rob saying respectfully that once we walk through the doors of the Coronado we were no longer in charge, as he would now take everything upon his shoulders and we were free to thoroughly enjoy the evening. And you know whatâŚit had to be the first time ever that I was confidently and trustingly able to do just that! THANKS to Rob, never once did I worry about a thing!\r The ambiance and atmosphere were indescribable. Rob had added special personalized touches to our evening much to our surprise. From adding a three leaf clover discretely on the wedding cake, that the groom mentioned he would like, to some ornate lighting on the balcony area that added extra sparkle to the brideâs delight was just beyond our expectations. THANK YOU Rob for that personal touch and insightfulnessâŚyou are certainly full of surprises and are so amazing. Never ceasing to make the evening special and going beyond our expectations. \r One of the highlights of the evening was when Rob took my husband and I for a private glimpse of the Coronado Grand Ballroom before the guests entered. Words canât describe it but actions can, as I began to cry when my eyes came upon the most beautiful sight ever. I was overwhelmed with amazement. Rob had worked his magic as the display of all those prior meetings, where all the choices were made, came all together magnificently. I was totally overwhelmed as the ballroom had transformed into my daughterâs and son-in-lawâs envisioned magical wedding ever. It was so BEAUTIFUL and PERFECT!\r Words can not describe my THANKFULNESS, GRATITUDE and ENJOYMENT we had with Rob Schaefer, Steven Becker Fine Dining and the Coronado staff! A job MAGNIFICENTLY WELL DONE! \r Rob, you touched our hearts and feel we have developed a great friendship through this wedding process. You are so much Fun and so Professional. You are the BEST!

My best friend found the Coronado through at Pinterest pin. The pictures from their web site alone was enough to make me fall in love, but then I saw it in person. Even when it was \"messy\" from a wedding the previous weekend, it was gorgeous. The ballroom with the Terazo (spelling?) floor was stunning. Then, there's the service. We are not native St. Louisians, our families were gathering in St. Louis from all over the country and Ireland. 225 people were traveling for this one precious weekend when everyone we loved would be together for a Fall Wedding. As you can imagine it was quite an undertaking. My daughter and her fiancĂŠ wanted \"old world romance\" and elegance and to showcase the City of St. Louis. My husband and I wanted great food and no drama, if something went wrong (it was a wedding of course, something was going to go wrong!) we didn't want to know about it. The moment we walked into the lobby of The Coronado Ballroom we knew we had found our venue for our daughter's wedding. Lesley & Ron had read the reviews about the excellent food and attention to detail. We wanted to know we would enjoy their wedding day as much as our guests. Meeting Rob Schaefer, immediately put our minds at ease. His professionalism was much appreciated as he guided us through all the choices to be made. He asked what Lesley & Ron's vision was for the day and what ours (the Hosts) wanted and he would remind us of our intent when we would drift off into another direction. Did I mention, Rob is fun! Words do not express our gratitude for his ability to create the background for the best day of our lives! He recommended vendors who he worked with and trusted from bands to lighting, with lots of choices. We did not have to be concerned about coordinating everyone. Rob's positive relationship with his own staff let us know that even they were enjoying themselves while making sure their attention was on our experience. We are still hearing great reviews about \"the best wedding we ever attended\". It's true, it was a magical! The food, presentation and service were over the top. St. Louis became the best wedding destination. Who knew? Weddings are expensive, I knew we got it right when my husband said, \"Worth every penny! Thank you Rob! We miss you, can we just come by for coffee?

We could not have been more satisfied with all aspects of our reception.\rThe Coronado is one of the most beautiful venues in town. We had\r180 people and it was very comfortable. Loved the size of the dance floor (very important), and with extra lighting it made the room very elegant looking. Rob and his assistance were remarkable. Everything was taken care of, it was like being a guest at the wedding, go and enjoy knowing every detail to food,guest,cake were taken care of.\rRob was gracious from the very moment we met to the very end of the reception. He has been doing this for a long time and you can tell. Bottom line....Rob and the Cornoado made our wedding something people keep talking about..so you know its the right place.

Our daughter was married at the Coronado Ballroom three weeks ago. It was a magical evening. She wanted a fairytale wedding and that is what she got. Everything was perfect! We didn't want the evening to end. The food, the atmosphere, EVERYTHING was fabulous! Rob was awesome too. He worked behind the scenes the whole night ensuring everything went smoothly. The Dinner was perfect and the service impeccable! The Ballroom is enchanting and the guests danced all night on the exquisite dance floor. Perfect and stunning. Rob Schaefer from the Coronado managed each element with expertise and professionalism. He displayed perfection in planning and implementation. Bonus, there is a bridal room for all the bridesmaids, maid of honor, and bride to refresh and rejuvenate! I highly recommend the Coronado, and Steven Becker Fine Dining.

I knew she would make all my request great but what I did not expect is that she would make everything PERFECT! According to all my guest....most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. The food was delicious...service top notch and the atmosphere cannot be beat!! This is our only daughter so we looked at many venues...so happy we went with the BEST!

The ceremony was beautiful! Room was decorated amazingly and it was everything I had hoped it would be. \rThe food at the reception was very good. Everyone commented on how it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding! And they all said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to.\rThe only negative was how quickly and crazily we were rushed out at the end of the reception. Lights were being turned off while I was still trying to say good bye to friends and family. The top of our cake was put in with the wedding gifts unbeknownst to anyone so it sat upside down in a hotel room all night and was ruined when we finally found it. It was minor in comparison to how beuatiful the night was but none the less, disappointing.

My daughters wedding was April 21, 2012. It was the reception that all young ladies dream about. Rob Schaefer and the staff of the Coronado Ballroom were efficient and friendly. The food was delicious. The cake was beautiful. The ambiance was undescribable. \r All I had to do was supply the decorations and they placed them exactly the way I wanted. When I entered the reception ballroom before any of the guests, I was speechless. It was exactly the way I had pictured it. My daughter was thrilled.\r The signature service by the staff is still being talked about from friends and family. There was continous wine service with dinner and each course was served impeccably.\r The decor of the ballroom is simple yet elegant. The marble floors were shining. The lighted dance floor made the party even more exciting.\r At the last minute our event planner moved to an new job. Rob Schaefer stepped stepped in and the event went off seamlessly. I do not have the words to adequately express how much I appreciate their efforts.\r When it is said that you get what you pay for, it is not always true. However, my daughter and sons happiness is priceless. The reception was worth every penny and more. The amount people surmise I paid is far less than the actual price. Yes, some actually asked how much it was. It was none of their business.\r From hors d'oeuvres to cake the food was delicious. The short ribs were fork tender and the chicken was delectable. O K that is enough but I could go on and on. It is now July and every time I encounter someone that was there they talk about how memorable the reception was.\r Thank you Rob. Thank you Steven Becker Fine Dining. Thank you Coronado staff!!!!! My daughter truly had a Cinderella wedding. She was beautiful too!!!!

THe Coronado Ballroom was beautiful. We had both our ceremony and wedding reception, and they were able to accomodate our large numbers. Our decor was matched perfectly by the lighting and gorgeous decor of the venue already. The people were so accomodating and worked with us on every idea we had. The wait staff was incredible and the well choreographed service really added a touch of class to our amazing night.

THe Coronado Ballroom was beautiful. We had both our ceremony and wedding reception, and they were able to accomodate our large numbers. Our decor was matched perfectly by the lighting and gorgeous decor of the venue already. The people were so accomodating and worked with us on every idea we had. The wait staff was incredible and the well choreographed service really added a touch of class to our amazing night.
