500 Acre Property Dedicated to Your Special Day
Nestled among five hundred acres of massive Georgia pines and pastures lies The Corry House - the perfect wedding venue for your perfect day! The Corry House is named after the Corry family that settled the land in the late 1700s. That same family built the house in 1869 and continues to own the land to this day, ten generations later. The most beautiful part of the property has been converted into a wedding and event venue to service Georgia's Lake Country and the Athens area. The Corry House is proud to offer unlimited parking, privacy, and those beautiful Georgia sunsets. Couples can choose from a number of different locations to say their vows, including a picturesque meadow site and an enchanting forest site. The party can then move to the air-conditioned barn or to a tent under the stars. The house and carriage house are included for wedding parties to get ready for the big day and can even accommodate approximately 18 people for an overnight rental. We are excited to offer additional overnight accommodation for up to twelve guests in one of our three treetop cabins. Glamping and a new reception venue coming soon!

We love The Corry House! As wedding DJs, we visit many different venues. The Corry House is definitely a unique and beautiful venue! We particularly love the option to have a private wedding ceremony in the woods. Highly recommend this venue!

Nonstop compliments all weekend from all of our (200) guests and vendors about the amazing venue. So many different spots for pictures. We had a spot for our rehearsal dinner, our multiple ceremonies, lawn games, a huge blow up screen with a slideshow of photos, getting ready, snacks for our guests, our family to stay all weekend, everything! We went with the day-of coordinator too, and Ruby was absolutely amazing. And so affordable compared to other venues. THE BEST!

We love The Corry House! The staff was absolutely wonderful and professional. The grounds were well kept and beautiful. It has the most amazing photo opportunites and my day was perfect at this venue. I defiently recommend for your special day!

The Corry House is the most amazing venue!!!! I always wanted a barn wedding and I could not have picked a better place for my wedding! We had the venue for the whole weekend, we had our rehearsal dinner on property, the wedding as well as a brunch. The venue is so well manicured and the staff is amazing. Dr. Cheeves is always hands on and willing to help out. Erin was amazing so responsive and easy to work with! she assisted for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding and made me feel at ease every step of the way. Even in the rain we could not have picked a more amazing venue. The wedding went by way too quickly and we were so thankful to make it a weekend celebration. The forest site is beautiful and so rustic, the trees created a beautiful canopy making us feel like we were in the middle of a rainforest. All of our guest commented on how amazing and different the venue is!

Absolutely LOVED this venue. It is absolutely beautiful. We rented it out for Thursday through Monday. Ruby & Bo were super accomadating and were available for anything we needed. And the venue is already stocked with tons of decorations that are available for use on the property. Bo was also willing to let us move a bunch of the benches out of the woods as well as move the gazebo so that we could use our own things. There were some things that were changed on the property after we signed a contract with the venue (i.e. they added another ceremony site by moving the horse fence out, and they changed the look of the bridge going into the forest site) that would've been nice if we had known about them beforehand. I wasn't happy with the way the bridge looks now (i loved the way it was) and I would've liked to have known a little more in advance that they changed the look of it so that I could've had more time to prepare something to decorate it with (and I ended up running out of time and couldn't decorate it at all). We did also leave some things (3 whole chickens, and a french toast bake) in the freezer after we left, and nobody bothered to give us a courtesy call to ask us if we would like that stuff back or if it was okay to toss it (and we actually would've like that stuff seeing how there were entire chickens in there). I also felt that they \"lingered\" around far too much. They live on the property and would just show up unannounced to \"check in\" (which is fine and they told us they would be doing that) but at times it almost felt excessive. Bo also had the leaf blower going during bridal party photos on the day of and he walked right by and blew stuff right at us as he was going by, but there was a time that he brought over carrots for the kids to feed the horses with which was super nice. Other than that this venue was amazing. Our family was able to come for the weekend and have a mini \"vacation\". The kids could run around and there was plenty of space for them to play. I really just wish I lived here! House and property are absolutely stunning. Thank you Bo and Ruby!

The Corry House was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding. It is a drive out to the country, but it is well worth it. Every detail was perfect. The staff was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We booked the entire weekend and it was so nice to have all of the weekend activities in one place. It is a beautiful venue that I highly recommend.

The Corry House was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding. It is a drive out to the country, but it is well worth it. Every detail was perfect. The staff was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We booked the entire weekend and it was so nice to have all of the weekend activities in one place. It is a beautiful venue that I highly recommend.

My husband and I had our wedding at The Corry House this past June and although the site is beautiful, the experience wasn't as great. I have to say the most disappointing part of our wedding day at the Corry House was when the staff began to take apart our venue and break down the tables BEFORE WE EVEN LEFT. To make this matter even worse, the staff took all of our nice (and fairly expensive) tablecloths and threw them in a pile on the floor of the barn so that they could begin putting away their tables and chairs. On top of this, they took the purses and bags left by our guests on the tables and put them in a pile on the barn floor. One thing that needs to be mentioned is that our wedding ended around 3:00 in the afternoon on Saturday and we had paid for the property for the ENTIRE WEEKEND (Friday-Sunday) so there should be no reason why our time was cut short. This was a real shame because we had a large number of guests from out of town who expressed that they wish they could have stayed for a bit before getting back on the road. After the wedding, I contacted the owner Bo and told him about the issue but he didn't seem to care and offered no solutions or apologies. Overall, we are very disappointed with the service we received at The Corry House and have yet to receive a call back from the staff about our concerns.

The Corry House provided the MOST magical spot for our Wedding. We chose the forest site for the ceremony and the barn for the reception. We also had the rehearsal dinner there and stayed there the rehearsal night with our full wedding party. It was above our expectations!!

Good location. Reasonably priced. Very BEAUTIFUL and versatile setting. Staff is EXTREMELY accomodating and easy to work with. I would HIGHLY recommend Corry House for any event you may have in mind.

I looked all over Athens to find a wedding venue under $3000... guess what could not be found. I did find this venue through a family friend. It was a steal for what the property was. If you want great wedding pictures this place will set the scene perfectly. To top it off the staff are amazing and willing to help with anything you need!
