The staff at the Cottage at the Ravines Golf Course in Saugatuck were phenomenal! The communication from start to finish and all the way through the day of was excellent. We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at this venue. It’s quaint and charming but not small enough that you can’t host 75-100 guests comfortably. The venue is so cozy and creates a warm welcoming ambiance - especially for winter weddings. The food was so delicious!!! The entire staff were all very attentive to our questions during planning and to our needs leading up to the day of our wedding. I can’t recommend this venue enough if you’re looking for a smaller charming and elegant space.

We hosted our reception at the Ravines on 10/20/2023 and was a perfect experience. Sarah and the staff did an absolutely amazing job making sure everything was set up and helping us along the process. The staff helped make our day perfect in everyway they could. The food was delicious and the venue was stunning. I highly recommend!

We got married at the Ravines on 10/21/23, and everything was perfect!! Sarah helped us get everything set up, went through all of our options and met us in person 3 times over the course of about a year of planning our wedding.We had the Ravines handle everything from the bar and catering to tables and chairs. The food, including dessert, was fantastic. The servers and staff were amazing and kind. They accommodated day-of change due to rain, and we moved the ceremony inside. The space is beautiful, and we danced on under the lights on the porch area.

Leading up to our wedding, communication with Sarah was thorough, helpful, and very professional. On the day of, the staff was accommodating and kind. The food was delicious. I heard tons of positive comments from our guests. It's hard to imagine the night being better. The building itself is set up wonderfully with the bridal suite easy to access, and having separate rooms for the dance floor/bar and quieter dining room ended up being perfect. Such a fun experience.

We had the best experience hosting our wedding at the Ravines. We started the weekend with a large group golfing, and the club house was so wonderful to work with. We were looking for a secluded and cozy setting for our reception. The Cottage at The Ravines was perfect. We checked out other venues, but it was obvious The Ravines was the right spot as soon as we walked inside. We had around 110 guests and the space felt full, but not cramped. Sarah and Shayla were easy to work with and very accommodating. The food tasting was at Boatwerks a couple of months before our event. While the food there was good, we were blown away by how good it was at the reception. Guests were complimenting it all night.

Choosing the Ravines was truly the center around our wedding. The surroundings during the summers was absolutely beautiful! This tucked away golf course in quaint Saugatuck is filled with gorgeous florals and lush landscape. It was everything I was looking in an outdoor wedding. Mallory, was truly and hands down just the very best! She's experienced and I can honestly say can handle any situation! From loss of power, the arranging tables even bustling dresses and feeding a hungry bride before she walked down the aisle. Mallory and her team are just spot on and they went through the day effortlessly. I couldn't have asked for a better venue and an even better team. I fully recommend The Cottage At Ravines, not only for the location but because of the team. Thank you Ravines!

Where do I even begin? Booking our wedding at Ravines was hands down the best decision we could have ever made. It's beautiful inside the Cottage and out, and all of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The best part, though, was Mallory. The Ravines really lucked out when she joined the team. She was BEYOND helpful, super sweet, and very responsive. We could not have done this without her and any bride would be lucky to have her on her side preparing for and helping her through the day of the wedding. I would encourage anyone who is considering getting married here to do it, the service and attention is second to none and can not be beat.

Mallory went above and BEYOND what was asked of her as an event coordinator at The Ravines. She was always so quick to respond to any emails (even ones that were sent after normal business hours) I work as a night shift RN and would be sleeping during the day and I would send emails later in the afternoon when I woke up. Normally most people would get back to you the following day but Mallory often times replied to me.She catered to make sure that everything went perfectly the day of our wedding even with so many last minute changes. We had to change our original wedding venue to the Cottage at Ravines last minute (like 3 months before the wedding) and had to work on a very big time crunch. She was super accommodating and helped us out with SO many things. Reaching out to other venues to price renting chargers and Chavarti chairs. Getting our cake ordered even when missed the due date and forgot to tell her the correct flavor. And even moving around the guests tables the weekend of the wedding because I had already made a seating chart that coordinated with a different floor plan. She was there through the whole wedding planning process and even the night of. She bustled my wedding dress with safety pins because the one my seamstress made didn't hold up all night. She provided me with Gatorade in the bathroom when I was feeling dehydrated and sick to my stomach (not ALL due to alcohol) and when I was feeling discouraged about having to move everything outdoors due to COVID a month prior she listened to my concerns, didn't diminish them and say \"thats just the way it is\" but rather said \"yeah this sucks\" \"but its still going to be a beautiful day\" and it truly was!!!! I will forever look back on this 2020 COVID wedding and be reminded of how wonderful and truly spectacular that day was. This is thanks to Mallory Charter, The Ravines Golf Club, and the whole Redwater Events team. Thank you ALL for EVERYTHING!!!

The Ravines Golf Club was the most beautiful wedding ceremony and reception venue! It was out of a dream! The location was perfect, the room was gorgeously appointed, and the view from the reception room was idyllic for our evening reception! We got married on a rainy weekend (it had been torrentially raining the whole week leading up to the wedding), with an outdoor evening wedding on the gorgeous grounds of the golf club. Somehow, the rain broke for a few hours to give us the most perfect wedding ceremony! The ceremony site is set amidst bushes of fragrant flowers, with perfectly manicured lawns, and within a very short walking distance from the club house/reception hall. The bride and wedding party entered across a wooden bridge that goes through the trees: a scene out of a fairytale and so calming as you walk towards the altar!Mallory and her staff handled the event with ease and grace! Many things went wrong on my end the two days leading up to the wedding, but they were flexible, communicative, and SO GREAT! They set up the ceremony and the reception according to my instructions, but honestly 10 times better than I could even have hoped! They used their expertise in the industry to build on my instructions and truly create works of art on the table, in the decor, on the alter, and everywhere I looked! I trusted their knowledge and experience (and had no choice because I didnt have time to go over everything!) and everyone was raving about it! Everywhere I looked I was shocked and in love! Everything was picture perfect, and truly my dream wedding!The food was delicious, the staff was attentive, the bar staff was friendly, and everything was WONDERFUL! I cannot say enough about Mallory: she communicated with me regularly leading up to the event: she guided me in decisions when I needed it, and listened when I had ideas or hopes or things I wanted done a specific way. She is a WEALTH of knowledge on weddings, receptions, and ceremonies, as well as families and all the other fun details. I could not have done this without her and her team: she is TRULY AMAZING! The bride and wedding party entered across a wooden bridge that goes through the trees: a scene out of a fairytale and so calming as you walk towards the altar!Mallory and her staff handled the event with ease and grace! Many things went wrong on my end the two days leading up to the wedding, but they were flexible, communicative, and SO GREAT! They set up the ceremony and the reception according to my instructions, but honestly 10 times better than I could even have hoped! They used their expertise in the industry to build on my instructions and truly create works of art on the table, in the decor, on the alter, and everywhere I looked! I trusted their knowledge and experience (and had no choice because I didnt have time to go over everything!) and everyone was raving about it! Everywhere I looked I was shocked and in love! Everything was picture perfect, and truly my dream wedding!The food was delicious, the staff was attentive, the bar staff was friendly, and everything was WONDERFUL! I cannot say enough about Mallory: she communicated with me regularly leading up to the event: she guided me in decisions when I needed it, and listened when I had ideas or hopes or things I wanted done a specific way. She is a WEALTH of knowledge on weddings, receptions, and ceremonies, as well as families and all the other fun details. I could not have done this without her and her team: she is TRULY AMAZING! Any bride would be lucky to have her expertise; I was well taken care of in her hands.Thank you so much to the whole Ravines Golf Club, and Mallory, for making my dream wedding come to life!

Beautiful venue, newly refinished floors and paint, looks great. Food was amazing we received many compliments on the pulled beef (I think that's what it was?). I didn't like that you cant come in the day before to set up because they keep it open to their members, this caused a lot of logistical hurdles and added stress. I also wish we would have in cooperated the back patio more, but were not allowed to due to members. You cant select the beer handles-- they are all craft beer, you can only \"request\". And there is not a bridal suite to get ready or store you items. Other than this, I think the food and room are priced fairly. And I would recommend

My husband and I wanted to stick with our theme of country chic for our reception and when I saw the Ravines Golf Club building (Arnie's Cottage) I knew its what I wanted. The inclusive rental package was great, too. It included all of our linens, dinner and silverware, toast for the bride & groom, cake cutting service and much more. The staff and event coordinator were very helpful. The only down side was that at times the coordinator was hard to get a hold of by phone; responses were not always immediate. We made some special requests with food and drink they were able to accommodate, although the process was not as smooth as I originally thought it was going to be. The staff even set up all of my decor for me the day of the wedding! I provided a very detailed description and pictures of how I wanted things done and was nervous that it wouldn't turn out the way I wanted. But when I arrived, everything looked amazing! I was so thankful because it was a huge stress off my shoulders. The reception went very smoothly and the staff was attentive to our needs during the night. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Ravines to any other bride in search of a country chic venue with great value and service.

The setting felt like the perfect size for my 110 person wedding! The banquet room had 3 walls of windows overlooking the 18th hole and with beautiful views. Although it is a relatively new building, it still manages to have a sort of historic feel, and with the exposed beams, it has sort of a \"cottagy\" elegance. \r\rAlthough the price for the plated dinner was good, I wasn't very impressed with the food, and actually received no compliments on it. Since I was planning the wedding from a distance, I was unable to travel back for the tasting -- but, the tasting didn't offer the ability to choose between different entrees anyway -- just to try the ones that you chose... seems to defeat the purpose? I sent my mom and aunts to try -- they seemed to like it, and I liked that the Ravines was very flexible to let them come and do the tasting in my stead. \r\rIt felt like maybe the reception (dinner) was a little understaffed... they said they had 1 server for every 25 people... this felt a little low to me and there were some disconnects about other details that I had planned with the main planner/organizer that seemed to get dropped since that person wasn't present the day of the reception. \r\rI think that if some minor wrinkles were ironed-out in terms of execution, this could easily receive a 5 star rating -- especially if they are able to maintain a good value for quality ratio.
