Mary Squarciafico(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-10-2022 We had our wedding here 10/02/2022. the property itself is perfect for a wedding weekend or destination wedding with onsite accommodations and another 2 hotels a stone’s throw away. It is so close to downtown, there is a pool, bikes everything to make it a relaxing weekend and everything can be done at one spot. The contracted catering is great. We unfortunately had to last minute move our wedding from saturday to sunday due to hurricane Ian and Lisa the GM was so accommodating. We lost power and she drove my mom to another hotel so she could steam and iron dresses. She went out of her way and picked up catering for our rehearsal for us. And sunday was beautiful and it was amazing waking up and getting ready and never having to leave. Can’t say more amazing things about the property and staff. I wish we got to have a post wedding pool that we had planned afterwards. But if i were to do it all again i’d book this place again and again. Reviewed on 12-10-2022
Jamie Johnson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-04-2021 We stayed at the Cottages for our intimate wedding ceremony and dinner and don’t regret a thing! The venue is gorgeous – you have views of both the marsh and harbor, and sometimes have a small beach when the tide is out! Lisa and her team did a phenomenal job prepping the lawn area to make sure our day was picture perfect. The cottages themselves are timelessly homey while still providing that elevated “hotel” experience (I would absolutely recommending stay here over a beach house if I were visiting Charleston!). Being able to stay at our wedding venue location made our entire wedding party more relaxed and turned the wedding from just a one-day-event into a vacation.Note – they have two separate cottage lawns, so this venue can absolutely support bigger weddings if necessary, but we opted for the smaller of the two!Speaking as a local - this is truly a unique venue that provides an ambiance that you cannot get anywhere else in Charleston, and we’re so happy we had our wedding here. Suzonne Mattiola(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-07-2017 My wife and I got married at the cottages last July. The moment my mother in law showed us the cottages, we knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding. Everything was perfect! The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The views are out of this world. The amenities were more than we could have asked for. We rented 2 cottages for my family to stay in and 1 for my wife and I. Everything from the moment we arrived to the moment we left was a dream! If you’re even considering The Cottages, don’t think twice about it! It’s the perfect destination for a long weekend, family vacation, wedding, etc. Thank you for making our wedding day unforgettable!! Reviewed on 19-06-2018

I used the cottages for my bridal party girls to stay in with me on the rehearsal night, then my husband and I used the cottage on our wedding night and the night after. Such an amazingly beautiful place and the views are INSANELY GORGEOUS! The staff, cleaning crew and everything was just so nice and well done!LOVE! Tammy Pilch(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-10-2010 My wife and I spent our wedding night at The Cottages and could not have felt more like we just went to the Caribbean. The cottage was amazingly furnished with all the necessities to spend a week or two. Unfortunately, we were only spending one night. Our cottage overlooked the Charleston harbor and we were able to brew a cup of fresh coffee in the morning and watch the boats/ships cruise the Cooper river off of our private, screened-in porch. The staff was eager to accommodate and welcomed us as if we were family. We highly encourage you to stay at this little hidden gem while visiting Charleston.\r-Bobby & Tammy Pilch October 2010 Reviewed on 02-12-2010
Taiwo Scanlon(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-04-2009 The space is absolutely beautiful and the food was incredible. I have heard from more than a few guest that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. I can't say enough about how great the food was and the service. We had our cocktail hour on the beach during the regatta with sailboats in the harbor. It was incredible. Beautiful palmettos with the Harbor and Fort Sumner in the backdrop with a space that provided absolute privacy. There aren't many venues with waterfront property that offers what the Belvidere offers. To be truthful I don't believe any space can match the Belvidere. Also it is close to Downtown.;First its not a traditional reception space. So if you're looking for a dining hall experience look elsewhere. Also you have to rent the nine cottages for three day which maybe price prohibitive for your friends and family. However the rental fee - I think - are cheaper because of that fact. I must emphasize the cottages are expensive but they are spectacular. Seriously. Everyone wants to go back and stay. They would be great for a family reunion. Lastly and this must be said - its is not the venue for large weddings. 125 - 130 tops. They say you can have 150 but I think that would be overcrowded. We had 115 and it was perfect.
