Courtyard by Marriott is by far one of the best wedding venues in Monterey Park and nearby areas. We had our wedding reception in their Crystall Ballroom - very spacious and flexible when it comes to putting your decorations. They were very accomodating and responded quickly to inquiries and they would love to give you some pieces of advice on where to put things for your event to look more elegant and leave an impact to your guests. Bonus would be cocktail foyer area - very neat, nice and cozy for guests to enjoy drinks and food!

While The Courtyard Monterey Park was not our first choice of venue but we ended up picking this venue for our wedding (roughly 140 guests/ Chinese banquet style) due to the convenience of the location. The manager (I believe her name is Jennifer) who was managing the entire operation at the banquet - very friendly, professional. She even went of her way to help with some of our elderly guests to validate their parking tickets so they didn't have to line up at kiosk later exiting the parking lot. Hotel itself also offered a special rate on our wedding (minimum of 10 rooms). Overall I would recommend this place to any friends in 626 areas.

So glad my wife chose this place for our wedding. My family was very impressed with the Chinese food. We are going back to Chef Tony Dim Sum today!

My niece had her wedding here and it was very nice. Chinese food was very good. We plan to have my daughters wedding here next year.

We regret having our 300 guest count wedding here. We had an extremely difficult time communicating with the hotel event management team and staff. Our main two issues here were the incredibly slow food service and lack of air conditioning. First, we opted for a 10 course Chinese banquet style for our guests. Unfortunately, the food platters came out in over 3 hours, so some guests could not wait and left already. We did not even have time to enjoy our cake or dance floor because the last course was served when our wedding event ended at 11 pm. Secondly, the temperature in the event space was excessively stuffy and hot. The Marriott did not act quickly to help accommodate the uncomfortable temperature conditions. There was no airflow in the ballroom for our 300 guests, and many guests thought it was too humid and warm in both the ballroom and cocktail foyer area. My husband and I had so many inconveniences throughout the day, and the Marriott was clearly not equipped to host our 300 guests. They had also charged our credit card without our consent, and there were hidden fees we were not aware of. I would not recommend hosting any event in this hotel.
