My Husband and I were married at The Cove in December and the experience was nothing short of a magical. From the moment we began planning,,The Cove promised something special, They certainly delivered.The venue, itself, was filled with tasteful, elegant Christmas decorations and lights, as it was December. The decor created a warm, festive ambiance that complemented our winter theme beautifully.The highlight for everyone was, undoubtedly, the food. It was phenomenal - every dish was a hit. Our guests are still raving about the delicious meal, which was the highlight of the evening. It contributed to the memorable experience of our special day. The Cove was also able to accommodate speciality drinks. Their bartenders worked with us to put together two specialty drinks that worked with our drink package.It added a special touch for the day.Jessica deserves special mention. She was always available and incredibly attentive. She met with us multiple times to ensure every detail was perfect. Her commitment to meeting our needs and her attention to detail made us feel incredibly supported and stress-free.The Cove provided an incredible venue for our winter wedding, blending great service, a festive atmosphere, and fabulous food. It was, in every aspect, our perfect wedding.

Amazing venu, amazing staff and managers. The food was amazing and the view was unbelievable, out picture perfect wedding on the lake cannot be outdone. The Cove is THE place to host your wedding! Thank you Jessica for all you did to make our dream wedding one to remember, you're the best!

I cannot say enough about The Cove. After searching for months for a venue, we finally found The Cove at Fawn Lake. My wife and I were so extremely happy to find this venue that knows how to celebrate love of all kinds. The Venue is breathtaking. The ballroom backs to the water and has a manicured tiered lawn that we used for the ceremony. They have the best veranda for cocktail hour. As much we love loved the location, the people are really what set this venue apart. Jessica and Katie are the best. Jessica is the wedding Coordinator and is such a pleasure to work with. She helped us with so many details leading up to the day and made sure everything went as planned. Katie is the Events Manger and the Executive Chef was so amazing. She customized our reception menu, appetizers, and dessert to go with our theme and budget. She even added special touches to the décor and food (so yummy). Both are a lot of fun to work with and they take care of everything. You get the feeling that they care about your day and have your best interests at heart. I could not be happier about our choice of venue, I have received so many compliments from our guests and the wedding was everything we hoped for.

Booking The Cove was the best thing we could have done for our wedding. They take care of almost everything, from catering, bar service, setup and even some free décor options to use. What Bride doesn't love FREE!? We hired Jessica as our Day-of-Coordinator and she was lovely to work with. She hit every milestone of our coordination agreement on time if not early. On the day-of Jessica made sure everything went as we planned and there were no issues that I knew of, and that's the way it should be. If there was an issue, Jessica took care of it before anyone knew there was an issue, she is a dream! Now, let's talk about the food... This was the best food I've ever had at an event, our tasting was fabulous and we actually had a hard time deciding, but Jessica helped us narrow it down with her expert advice and she was right! Our guests loved their dinner and hors d' oeuvres, and the staff was on point all night long. No one wanted for anything all night. When guests were just starting to want some coffee, BAM, a coffee station appeared! When they wanted more of an hors d' oeuvre, BAM the server was right there with a smile on their face. Jessica even made sure my husband and I and our wedding party were served hors d' oeuvres and cocktails while we were taking photos. We had a plated dinner for our guests and when everyone sat for dinner Jessica orchestrated her staff so proficiently it was a sight to be seen. Our 150 guests were ALL served dinner in about 25 minutes, I have attended smaller weddings with plated meals that took longer. She is a master of her craft and a true value to The Cove! I cannot recommend this venue and Jessica more! Do yourself a favor and book The Cove for your wedding or any event. You will not regret it!

WOW!! Our wedding was amazing at The Cove. The beautiful lakefront wedding site was the perfect backdrop for us to tie the knot. I would highly recommend the venue, The Cove. My Husband and I chose this venue for the scenic lake views and overall natural beauty. However, the staff does not match the quality of the venue. On my big day I could overhear staff complaining about my wedding as they set it up. I felt uncomfortable, I could tell they were not happy to be there. Aside from them, I would highly disapprove of the Coordinator offered by the venue. I had a two year engagement and worked with Jessica over that course of time. Given that she was a day of coordinator, she was not truly involved until the big day as expected. Unfortunately, often times when I did reach out for guidance or assistance she was hard to reach. Every time I did finally receive a response there was excuses that I felt were unprofessional to be sharing. Leading up to the wedding day, the week of my wedding she reached out to me for information for the day that should have been asked more in advance than the week of. She asked me questions such as whether we would have a first dance, what items were being set out and where they would be placed, etc. I have a personal friend who is a coordinator and she agreed that this information was being asked of pretty late. On the wedding day she did what no one should do to a Bride while she is getting ready. Jessica came into our dressing room and confronted me about not having place cards for the tables and presented it as if it was an issue that the staff would have giving out everyone’s meal. I told her that was something I opted to not have and she went behind what I wanted and made place cards for the tables. She also had added a table favor that was not run by me at all. That does not include setting out the ceremony exit favors onto the tables disregarding what their use was for. Another issue she created on the day was deciding to go against what my Mom and I wanted which was to put out the exit cookies earlier than the end of the reception. She decided not to and now we are stuck with a ton of cookies that we paid a higher price for. Second to last of things she forgot was adding my bouquet to our sweetheart table. There was a holder set onto our table and it never made its way to us. During our dinner, we were also promised a personal server and that was also not provided. Amongst all of these things including a few not mentioned, the most disappointing thing that she did was to not fulfill the promise of fluffing my dress before I walked down the aisle. My dress was all bunched up with leaves in it when I got down to the altar. Very disappointing from someone carrying a decent amount of experience as a wedding coordinator. She should not be the face of a venue that is such a hidden gem.

Not only is the space gorgeous with stunning water views, the staff is a dream to work with. Jessica and her team took amazing care of not just us, but were kind and helpful to all our guests. The food was flavorful and filling, and the wine selection was excellent. Our guests are still talking about how much they enjoyed themselves at our wedding months later. I would recommend The Cove for any and all special event needs because they will not disappoint.

Having our wedding and reception at The Cove at Fawn Lake was the best decision we made. Your venue will literally set the tone and vibe for your entire day and The Cove did just that. From our very first site visit to securing the venue to our food sampling and having our ceremony, Jessica Hewlett was simply amazing. Her communication is timely and professional. I promise that you won't feel like just another bride using their venue. She definitely makes you feel like you're the only couple planning a wedding. She listens to your desires and offers sound suggestions and their referred vendor list is top notch. Now the venue, simply beautiful. From every angle, there is a breathtaking view whether you are indoors or outdoors. The bridal suite is beautiful. We were provided champagne as we got ready. The staff was so professional and in synch. I am totally someone who likes to be in control and with Jessica as the coordinator and her amazing staff, I had nothing to think about or worry about. Our experience was so incredible I don't even know where to begjn! 1. Jessica Hewlett's communication and coordination skills are on a whole other level. She thought of everything and was also extremely organized2. Jessica was fantastic with not only prompt but thorough email communication never forgetting to answer the many questions I would send per email.3. The staff was extremely efficient and so friendly on the wedding day. All of my decorations were set up beautifully and just as I envisioned.4. The grounds were kept extremely manicured and clean. Not a hair out of place for our photos.5. The Cove was flexible with making food and guest number changes right up until a few days before the wedding hassle free!!!6. Jessica was consistently at our disposal hours before the ceremony as the wedding parties were getting ready and was great about quietly keeping the wedding running on schedule throughout the day.This is just the tip of the iceberg. They really take care of you at The Cove!

We just had my sisters wedding at the end of February and I was her wedding coordinator, as I have been in the Food and Beverage event business for many years. Jessica was the event coordinator at The Cove and she was incredible, and that is coming from a tough critic! The Cove at Fawn Lake was absolutely the perfect venue for a wedding. The space is beautiful, the staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. They truly had every thing we needed, down to beautiful centerpieces. We have already received our pictures back from the photographer and the place photographs beautiful. We had lake pictures, the grounds are beautiful, the golf course is nearby, it really did lend itself to so many great views. I would 100% recommend Jessica and The Cove!

The space is beautiful, the staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. They truly had every thing we needed, down to beautiful centerpieces. We have already received our pictures back from the photographer and the place photographs beautiful. We had lake pictures, the grounds are beautiful, the golf course is nearby, it really did lend itself to so many great views. I would 100% recommend Jessica and The Cove!

Anyone who wants a fabulous venue and simplified wedding-planning process: Fawn Lake Country Club is everything you are looking for! It's a beautifully private venue and right along the water for some incredible pictures. My husband and I knew we loved the place, even though it was the first one we visited, and it lived up to everything we were hoping for in a venue. But the true gem of the location? JESSICA! She is the most amazing coordinator for any bride to have along her side throughout the wedding planning process and on the day-of. She can literally do it all, and she has an incredible heart-posture of \"don't go buy things you don't need to, because I probably have those decorations already here from prior weddings.\" While some venues try and nickel-and-dime every item, Jessica throws it all in and truly seeks to make this a stress-free process. I cannot say enough about Jessica, and literally I could never recommend another venue simply because she wouldn't be there. Also, the food?! All of our guests raved about it! We are big foodies, and our guests knew that. So expectations were high, and Jessica and her staff more than delivered! So essentially, every element of our wedding that was linked to Jessica and Fawn Lake = top notch and the best value of anything we paid. When we came to visit The Cove at Fawn Lake Country Club the first time in June, we knew immediately that this beautiful new venue was the perfect place for Stephanie and Tim’s reception. We were impressed with Jessica’s professionalism, calm demeanor, and attention to detail. From the tasting experience to the coordination and planning prior to the big day, Jessica led us through this stressful process with caring, respect, and understanding, while being the consummate professional. Once the big day arrived and we entered the venue, our jaws literally dropped and brought us to happy tears at how perfectly Jessica set up the reception. It was magical! She coordinated the events of the afternoon and evening with precision, leaving us with no worries and just being able to enjoy the special day. Our guests raved at how wonderful the food was as well as the service. They were also in awe of the incredibly beautiful venue and lakeside setting. Our Daughter Stephanie looked forward to this day all her life, and Jessica delivered her dream Wedding reception. Fawn Lake was the first venue we visited and after that, nothing else compared! We can not say enough about Jessica and her amazing staff! We were fortunate enough to work with them for over 2 years! Our original plan was to be married in June 2020, throughout the pandemic, Jessica kept in constant contact with us about updates a d supported us along the way. After our decision to postpone to June 2021, the team continued to stay in touch. Jessica and her team and are respectful, responsive and kind. Jessica is always welcoming as she celebrated with us as counts when down and Virginia opened up! She answered every minuscule question and walked us through every step of the way. With Fawn Lake, we never had a worry about our special day. They helped with with everything and took care of the entire day. We never had to fret! Just 20 minutes before our ceremony, it started to drizzle. Jessica offered 3 different back up plans before I could even blink. After a covid postponement, and a rain delay- Jessica and the staff at fawn lake made sure our special day was more amazing than we could ever dream! They stood by as it only rained for 17 minutes and switched from outdoors to in doors and back to outdoors without hesitation. We were truly blessed to find Fawn Lake! We are honestly sad that we don’t have an excuse to work with them anymore. They listen to every request, follow every direction and give amazing support and suggestions. Our guests are still raving about the organization and the food at our wedding!

We were fortunate enough to finally tie the knot at The Cove on August 15, 2020 after a few rounds of cancelled plans at our original venue. Our wedding day at The Cove was so incredibly wonderful, we found ourselves asking why it wasn’t our first choice to begin with. The venue and grounds are simply stunning. Everything is kept in absolute top shape and meticulously cared for. The ballroom is simple and classic in the best way. It is full of windows and light and is the farthest thing from a stuffy, hotel ballroom. The landscaping surrounding the outdoor ceremony location overlooking the water is so lush and full of color that even with the grey skies, our photos came back looking like we got married somewhere tropical. Due to the ongoing pandemic, we decided to keep our ceremony small, intimate and socially distanced. The staff at The Cove went above and beyond to make sure we all felt safe and cared for. The seating for dinner and the ceremony was exactly as we asked for to encouraging social distancing. We also appreciated how upfront they were about their own health and cleaning standards from the beginning. We decided to share our ceremony with the rest of our family and friends with the help of Zoom and we had no issues connecting to The Cove’s internet. Their staff was more than accommodating in helping to make sure everything was setup and functioning. Everything went off without a hitch! Now for the best part – oh my goodness the food! Our guests are still raving about dinner and many have told us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. I can’t say enough good things about the catering staff at The Cove. Truly, we didn’t hear a single bad thing from our guests. Finally, our wedding day was as lovely and wonderful as it was because of the level of customer service provided by Jessica and her staff at The Cove. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel like royalty and to make sure your guests are taken care of. This was a level of care that we didn’t realize we were sorely missing at our previous venue until we came to The Cove. With so much emphasis on having Pinterest perfect photos, this was a factor I wasn’t prioritizing. It was serendipitous that we ended up at The Cove because it honestly was the missing piece. Jessica’s pride for her job really shows in her attention to detail and desire to make sure your day is absolutely perfect. I can’t say enough good things about this place and I highly recommend them for any wedding or function!

We have so much to be grateful for to Jessica Hewlett and her wonderful team at the Fawn Lake Country Club! There is absolutely no exaggeration when I say that they made our wedding ceremony completely magical and nothing short of beautiful and elegant. Literally, she helped us plan our wedding in a matter of days! My fiance and I were scrambling to find a new venue to hold our small ceremony after learning on short notice that his close family members would not be able to travel to our original location/venue. After our very first meeting with Jessica, everything fell into place. Even with a few hiccups that arose unexpectedly (though not surprisingly when it comes to planning a wedding), Jessica ensured she would do everything she could to promise us a beautiful wedding. First and foremost, she worked with us on pricing. With the current climate of being in a world pandemic and working with a next-to-nothing budget, our ceremony far exceeded our expectations, all thanks to Jessica and her team! The Fawn Lake Country Club is nestled beautifully, overlooking the serene lake that can guarantee a perfect photo op! Jessica set up beautiful chairs on the lawn outside of the Harbor Club and the reception took place in their brand new upscale restaurant, The Cove. Jessica also put us in touch with a local florist who designed our venue that undoubtedly elevated the elegance of our ceremony and reception! Overall, we cannot stress just how magnificent Jessica and her team were! She promised us nothing short of a perfect small wedding ceremony that was planned in just a few days. The Cove at Fawn Lake is the BEST place we could have ever chose for our special days. The reason I say days is because Covid try to ruin our special day in May but even though we had to hold our intimate ceremony with no more than 10 people Heather and Emily made it a day we will never forget! Then when we were able to have our bigger celebration in June it was more than I could of ever imagined! The way they accommodate everything you want and never pressure you into something you don’t. Heather is AMAZING and she honestly puts her heart and soul into planning and making sure your day is exactly what you want! Jessica was amazing too making sure everyone was comfortable and doing ok. Their food there is AMAZING! They accommodate any choice you may have and it never disappoints! I wish I could have this day over and over again because it was magical and that is because of Heather, Emily and Jessica and soo many more that made our day so special! The Cove at Fawn Lake is the BEST place we could have ever chose for our special days. The reason I say days is because Covid try to ruin our special day in May but even though we had to hold our intimate ceremony with no more than 10 people Heather and Emily made it a day we will never forget! Then when we were able to have our bigger celebration in June it was more than I could of ever imagined! The way they accommodate everything you want and never pressure you into something you don’t. Heather is AMAZING and she honestly puts her heart and soul into planning and making sure your day is exactly what you want! Jessica was amazing too making sure everyone was comfortable and doing ok. Their food there is AMAZING! They accommodate any choice you may have and it never disappoints! I wish I could have this day over and over again because it was magical and that is because of Heather, Emily and Jessica and soo many more that made our day so special! Beautiful waterfront makes for gorgeous pictures and beautiful memories! Thank you Heather, Emily and Jessica for making our day so beautiful and magical!

Not only did we fall in love with this beautiful venue after looking at countless others, but the wedding coordinator, Heather Allen, was amazing! First of the all, the venue is in a wonderful location in a gated community. The lake views surrounded by mature trees, birds, and landscaping create breathtaking wedding photos. The reception area has a great layout with a dance floor and table/chairs that can be revised to your liking. All the exterior doors open up to a great veranda, lake views, and the well decorated garden, which is well suited for a cocktail hour. My spouse and I both got great vibes at this venue and knew this was the spot for us. The food was amazing too! Our friends and family raved about it. To our surprise the best part about having the wedding reception at Fawn Lake was the opportunity to work with our coordinator, Heather. She was very professional, personable, patient with our numerous questions, had great ideas, and was the rock during our planning. We were told when we booked the venue that they would be expanding and would possibly be under construction during our reception. We loved the venue so much we took the chance and then began the stressful waiting game. Heather was so comforting and supportive. Thankfully the construction was delayed until after our reception but we were well informed the entire time thanks to Heather. I felt Heather put in the time and attention as if she was planning her own wedding reception. Thanks to her we had the wedding of our dreams and everything went wonderfully. We can't thank her enough for making our wedding day so special.

We celebrated my daughter’s wedding this weekend at Fawn Lake and it could not have been more perfect and enchanting. Heather and her team were phenomenal and thought of every last detail and catered to every request. Heather helped us through the planning process and coordinated with all of our vendors to ensure a smooth and seamless event. Heather even helped me decorate the wedding cake with flowers and had great ideas on arranging the table place cards, menus and favors. Upon our arrival, she made sure that the wedding party was comfortable and had something to eat before the ceremony. I can’t say enough about the venue – it has a lake backdrop and is absolutely breathtaking and was complimented highly by all of our guests. We were blessed that the weather cooperated with us and we were able to utilize the beautifully groomed tiered lawn for an outdoor ceremony lined with mason jars and flowers, petals on the walkway and a gorgeous arch with flowers. The cocktail hour was held on the upper lawn and outdoor verandah with outdoor games for the guests to enjoy and a “LOVE” sign for guest to take pictures alongside. The reception was held indoors and we utilized the existing tables and comfortable chairs that provided the intimate and elegant setting that we had envisioned. All of the food, from the appetizers (try the BBQ sliders with Nappa Slaw) to the main course (parmesan chicken and blackened salmon) was delicious and plentiful. Thanks so much Heather and the Fawn Lake team, for making the entire day the dream come true that we were wishing for. I plan to see you again when the twins are ready to get married. If you are looking for the perfect venue with a breathtaking view, you have found it with Fawn Lake.

Heather, Elisabeth, and the entire staff of the Fawn Lake Country Club were amazing to work with! Elisabeth was our coordinator and she did an excellent job communicating through the entire planning process and making sure our other vendors were up to date with the timeline and any other important details. It was really beneficial to have someone be the main contact for our vendors and I have no idea how she managed to stay patient and organized the entire time! Alongside the excellent service, the venue itself is beautiful. Right on the edge of a lake, everyone of our guests complimented the view and couldn’t believe we managed to find such a great location! Additionally, our guests LOVED the food and many mentioned they’ve never had better food at a wedding than ours. It was great to hear how much others loved Fawn Lake as much as we did. I would get married there a thousand times over again if I had to.

I cannot speak highly enough of Fawn Lake and the staff who was responsible for making our day perfect. From the moment we booked (even before), Elisabeth and Heather were helpful, reassuring, and extremely pleasant! After searching for a venue for a few months, my husband and I were at wits end. All places we looked at were out of budget and the ones which were in budget, were not that nice. Fawn Lake Country Club was one of the last venues I scheduled and I'm so glad I did. They communicated perfectly during the entire process, promptly emailing me back and answering every question I had. Heather even let me borrow items she used in her wedding at no extra cost! The day of, my girls and I arrived very early and the staff took care of us all morning, catering to every single need we had. Everyone was amazing and I had literally no stress all day! I did pay for a \"day of coordinator,\" Elisabeth, who was my sole point of contact all day. Let me tell you, she was worth every penny! The wedding went off without a single hitch, they ensured our day went perfect to plan. They provided a personal waiter, Carlos, who was accommodating and so friendly. I couldn't turn around without Carlos offering me a drink or an appetizer. Speaking of the food, we chose the parmesean crusted chicken and prime rib, which were both fantastic! My guests were blown away by the food! When our schedule moved up because of the weather being cold, Elisabeth scrambled to ensure everything moved up without incident and did it all with a smile on her face. Every single person at our wedding commented to me on how wonderful Elisabeth, Heather and the rest of the staff was during our event. My sister even told me she was jealous she didn't hire them for her wedding! I hope, for those of you brides looking to marry in Virginia, that you consider booking with Elisabeth at Fawn Lake Country Club. This review does not do them justice, they were amazing!!!

Thank you, Fawn Lake Country Club, for making my sister’s wedding day a dream come true. From start to finish, the day was perfect. The lake was a stunning backdrop for the ceremony and I cannot put into words just how absolutely beautiful the landscaping is. The reception was held inside and was just as beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly as my sister wanted down to the tiniest details. Now, let me tell you about the food. I love my sister dearly, but she is the pickiest eater I know and for over a month she had been talking about how amazing the food is. So, of course, I was looking forward to trying what she described as “the best chicken in the world”. I was not disappointed. Usually, when someone brags about the food, the reality doesn’t really live up to the hype. That is definitely not the case at Fawn Lake. I had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and I could not stop eating it. I even ate most of my fiancé’s food as well. My only complaint is that I wish I could have had a plate or two of it to take home for the next day. I love this venue and I am looking forward to planning my wedding there very soon.

My wedding day was absolutely everything I dreamed of! The venue itself is remarkable, you really can't beat the lakeside ceremony site not to mention the landscaping is gorgeous! Our photos were amazing!! Elisabeth was our wedding coordinator and she was so helpful during the planning stages and could not have done a better job on our wedding day! She made sure that every detail (and there were a lot of details) was perfect and just how we had discussed them. The staff was professional, courteous and did a great job serving our guests.. I literally cannot think of a single thing that I would change. I would highly recommend this venue!

We couldn't have chosen a better venue! Great place, great food and an excellent staff! The water view and sunset from the lake when on the veranda is so beautiful, you can also view the lakes beauty from the inside. The day before my wedding we had rain and high winds, we were frightened our outdoor wedding would be ruined. The wedding planer Elisabeth was awesome, she already had a plan B in motion! The storm passed, my wedding went on as planned and it was absolutely beautiful! From the set up of the outdoor ceremony to the table settings; each detail of the event was great! If you are looking for a venue with a wonderful staff ( and wedding planner) that works for you, you must see this place, you will not be disappointed!

I cannot say enough about Fawn Lake. After searching for months for a venue, we finally found Fawn Lake. The Venue is breathtaking. The country club backs to the water and has a manicured tiered lawn that we used for the ceremony. They have the best veranda for cocktail hour and you have the option of a tented reception or a reception in the dining room. We did the dining room which was perfect for the size of our wedding, about 80. As much I love loved the location, the people are really what set this venue apart. Christina and Elisabeth are the best. Elisabeth is the wedding Coordinator and is such a pleasure to work with. She helped us with so many details leading up to the day and made sure everything went as planned. Christina is the Club Manger and the Head Chief and was so amazing. She customized our reception menu, appetizers, and dessert to go with our theme and budget. She even added special touches to the décor and food (so yummy). Both are a lot of fun to work with and they take care of everything. You get the feeling that they care about your day and have your best interests at heart. I could not be happier about our choice of venue, I have received so many compliments from our guests and the wedding was everything we hoped for.

Jessica Hewlett (Events Director) I came to Fawn Lake Country Club from the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant at George Washington's Mount Vernon (Alexandria). I started my career in Catering and Events Management at the Clubs at Quantico where I learned the skills to move me forward to George Washington's Mount Vernon. While at Mount Vernon I honed my skills in Wedding and and Events management and my passion for making a guests vision come to fruition grew. I am also a Certified Wedding Planner helping you create a custom wedding experience for your guests. I look forward to working with you to make your dreams come true!
