The Creek Club at I'On is situated right next to Hobcaw Creek, only minutes from downtown Charleston and local beaches. With more than 5,000 square feet of event space, this venue can host celebrations of between 75 and 300 guests in size. This property features gorgeous garden landscapes with native foliage such as palms, azaleas, and live oaks. The Creek Club at I'on made my wedding amazing. It's such a beautiful venue. Even in the middle of the winter the scenery was incredible. The staff were an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the process. They do their own catering on site and all of the food was delicious. Compared to other venues we looked at in the area, the price is a great value!

The Creek Club at I'on made my wedding amazing. It's such a beautiful venue. Even in the middle of the winter the scenery was incredible. I cannot recommend Creek Club enough! Our day was beyond beautiful with so much help from Creek Club. Planning the wedding could not have been easier because of their amazing team, especially their head of catering Jaime. Not only was the owner of the venue kind and helpful, but their entire staff was awesome. So many of our guests were raving about the appetizers and their bartenders and wait staff! Everything was beyond reasonably priced. The venue itself is straight out of a Southern dream. Our day was perfect thanks to Creek Club at I'On!

Not only was the owner of the venue kind and helpful, but their entire staff was awesome. So many of our guests were raving about the appetizers and their bartenders and wait staff! Beyond happy we chose creek club ion for our wedding venue! The venue itself is already so beautiful - the marsh, porch and hall. But, the staff is so professional and our plated dinner was amazing. Guests are still talking about their food. Thank you to the entire staff for making my event run so smoothly!!!

Creek Club was the venue of my dreams. The wrap around porch is only one of the amazing features. It exudes southern charm on the water. The space was amazing- it fit everything perfectly, there is nothing worse than having too much space in our mind and this was the best layout. They KNOW weddings and were able to provide helpful insights in the planning process and with the catering tasting. The food was phenomenal. I think everyone said something to us about how incredible the hors d'oeuvres and main course were. Even a week later, we are still dreaming about how good it all tasted. They were so professional through all aspects of planning and the day of. Creek club was the perfect venue for our wedding but everything they do is so much more than just being the location!

Creek Club was the perfect wedding venue for us. From the moment we entered Ion, we knew it was special. Unfortunately, it started pouring rain about 30 minutes before the ceremony, but they quickly accommodated us by moving us inside the reception hall for an intimate (and dry) ceremony. The weather cleared up for the latter part of cocktail hour and reception, so all of our guests were still able to enjoy the beautiful deck and lawn space. Our guests raved about the food. All of the appetizers came out hot and were delicious. The food stations were a big hit and everyone enjoyed the variety it offered. Huge perk to have great catering in-house.All in all, I would highly recommend!!

We really enjoyed getting married at the creek club, it was a beautiful venue. We did have a bit of trouble with the owner and communication with staff. There were also a few things that were not mentioned in the contract or when we met with creek club that were changed later on like accessing the dock for pictures, or music during cocktail hour. We felt there were a few things that could have been done better by the staff like food at cocktail hour, or putting more cake at. At the end of the night we had plenty of cake left, but they did not place it all out. We had many guests state that they would have had more cake if they knew it was available. Also they are very efficient at the end of the night which can be a plus or negative as some of our stuff got misplaced since they were packing up so quickly. The food was very delicious and our guests are still raving about it. Overall we really enjoyed our wedding at creek club, but it is in a private neighborhood. Therefore there are people always on the dock/ walking through except during the 30 minutes for the ceremony that it’s closed off.

The Creek Club at I'On is the PERFECT venue! The I'On community is the epitome of classic Charleston. Your guests are greeted with southern charm as they make their way to the venue, and this sets the stage for your perfect wedding ceremony and/or reception. Your guests will take a short walk through the venue's garden to the gate where the space opens up to the most beautiful views: a water view on one side and a marsh view on the other. We received endless compliments on our venue and our pictures were absolutely gorgeous! Outside of the beauty of the venue, the staff is very responsive to emails and are willing to setup all necessary meetings, whether that is for tastings or meetings with your planner. When comparing this venue to other Charleston venues, it is almost entirely all inclusive. The venue comes with ceremony chairs, cocktail tables, reception tables, reception chairs, silverware, china, glassware, and banquet tables. The only thing you have to rent is linens and provide any other flowers/decor you desire. I do not regret having our wedding at the Creek Club at I'On at all!! Our wedding day was simply THE BEST!

Such an amazing venue for our May wedding! It's hard to beat the beauty of this venue. The staff and bartenders were so friendly and attentive. We really appreciated that they put some appetizers aside for us so we could still try everything as we were taking family photos. They also helped make our day extra special by making our signature cocktails with Peruvian ingredients we brought, merging the cultures of our 2 families. All around fantastic service and location.

Such an amazing venue for our May wedding! It's hard to beat the beauty of this venue. The staff and bartenders were so friendly and attentive. We really appreciated that they put some appetizers aside for us so we could still try everything as we were taking family photos. We held our wedding at the Creek Club in April 2023 and would highly recommend this venue. The venue itself was so beautiful and picturesque - we held our ceremony on the lawn, cocktail hour on the porch, and the reception was between the indoor room and the porch. It even rained during our reception but the porch was well protected and everyone stayed dry even being outside. The managers at the Creek Club were easy to reach and helpful in answering all of our questions. All of our guests loved the food, particularly the passed appetizers which were larger than I’ve seen at a wedding before! We overall had an amazing experience with our wedding at the Creek Club and would certainly recommend it.

We chose this venue because we wanted an all-inclusive venue and did not want to have to hire too many individual vendors. I wanted my wedding planning process to be as easy and stress- free as possible and with Creek Club it was! We loved that they have in-house catering, the food selection was plentiful and the food it's self was amazing! Our guests are still raving about the food. I must have called Jamie & Erin a hundred times with questions closer to our wedding date. They both were so kind, patient, and helpful. During our wedding, our event captain was also very nice and efficient. She even packed us to-go plates, which we appreciated so much, especially because as the bride and groom you don't get to enjoy the food you pay for! It rained the entire day of the wedding so it was a bummer that our guests could not see how beautiful the property was or that we didn't get to take our bridal photos in the lawn like I hoped for, other than that, our day was still more perfect than I could ever imagine! I would recommend the Creek Club to everyone!

We had the most perfect wedding day at the Creek Club at I'On! I did not use a wedding planner, but the staff was very helpful before the wedding making sure I had everything coordinated and ready to go. The location is beautiful for both the ceremony and the reception. The day of staff was also wonderful! They were very on top of making sure everything ran smoothly. Our guest raved about the food and the service. I would highly recommend using the Creek Club!

Amazing venue! We were told this venue was a great value, and that was so accurate! We live in the northeast but wanted to get married in Charleston, SC because it is so beautiful. We wanted Spanish moss, water, and oak trees, and this venue delivered on all of them. The venue is absolutely stunning. The neighborhood is beautiful, and the venue itself is so pretty. The outdoor area is so serene. Everyone on the staff was so nice and helpful and did everything possible to make our day special and treat us wonderfully - Jaime in the office, Katherine in catering, Peggy in payments, and even Mike the owner/manager.All of our guests were blown away with the setting, and each of them raved about the food. We did the food stations with the Italian Station, Beef Brisket carving station, and the Pan Crusted Chicken. All of it was so good! It was wonderful that all chairs, flatware, glasses, tables, etc. are included. Everything is included except linens, which helped cut down on extra expenses and decisions, which was a huge help. Having the wraparound porch for cocktail hour was perfect!We are so happy we had our reception here (our Mass was at St. Patrick Catholic Church), and we would choose this venue again in a heartbeat.

We could not have had a better place to host our amazingly blessed wedding day. The Creek Club at Ion’s facility provided the perfect mix of elegance and beauty. Our wedding and reception had perfect flow from one event to the next with multiple guests mentioning how effective it was to have the two at one host location. Also, another topic of discussion was the stunning sunset views overlooking the Lowcountry marshes. As the party flowed from outside to inside, The Creek Clubs charm took over with its marvelous ceilings, perfect lighting, and the finest dance floor. We were additionally impressed with how The Creek Club had top star cuisine and beverages for ourselves and our guests. Lastly, and maybe the most impressive, The staff was positively incredible. We cannot thank them enough for having us on our special day.

Our wedding and reception had perfect flow from one event to the next with multiple guests mentioning how effective it was to have the two at one host location. Also, another topic of discussion was the stunning sunset views overlooking the Lowcountry marshes. As the party flowed from outside to inside, The Creek Clubs charm took over with its marvelous ceilings, perfect lighting, and the finest dance floor. We were additionally impressed with how The Creek Club had top star cuisine and beverages for ourselves and our guests. Lastly, and maybe the most impressive, The staff was positively incredible. We cannot thank them enough for having us on our special day.

We had our wedding at The Creek Club in August and it was an absolute DREAM. The whole staff is so incredibly kind and helpful in the planning process. The food is AMAZING and all of our guests raved about it even after the big day. On our wedding day they were constantly checking on us, making sure that we had drinks and food and got a chance to eat everything that was served. The venue is incredibly beautiful and gives such a Charleston vibe. You get the water, the beautiful moss trees, and the hometown southern vibe of the huge wrap around porch. There are so many locations to take wedding photos and the guests took photos all night since it was such a beautiful location. We couldn't have been happier!!

We recently had our wedding here and it was GORGEOUS! The food is fantastic!My only downsides were: (1) we paid for a gold bar package and they ran out of the premium beers and didn't substitute anything else in. Had I known premium beer would only be available the first hour I would have bought the cheaper bar package. (2) We paid for 4 different types of apps and every guest we have asked so far didnt see the Shrimp and Grits being passed. (3) Catering team said they would sit a tray of apps aside for us and we never got them. I didn't get to eat any of the apps served which was a bummer! (4) We did a special toast with the groomsman and the venue \"wouldn't allow\" glass bottles.... so instead they poured the glass bottles into a glass cup. That kind of ruined our photos and special moment. (5) The neighbors are completely disrespectful of the wedding ceremony and photos. We had to community members walking around in bathing suits, sitting and eating in our ceremony chairs, urinating off of the docks (located directly behind our photo booth), and dogs running through the lawn area while we were taking photos. Thank goodness the dog didn't jump on me and ruin my dress. To make matters worse A NEIGHBOR CAME TO THE VENUE AND WALKED RIGHT IN DURING THE RECEPTION. She stuck out like a sore thumb in a pink tshirt and white visor. This was disappointing as we paid to rent the lawn and venue out for our private event! (6) The AC could have been turned down more. It was set to 76! On a hot summer day, it would have been nice to have a cool and comfortable temperature inside!Overall though, I am happy with how my wedding turned out and the guests had a nice time. Every event will have minor hiccups. Our guests kept saying how gorgeous the place was and how great the food was... I agree!

We toured in March 2021 & all they had left for May 2022 were weekdays or a Sunday. It wasn’t a big deal for us but some couples may be set on Saturdays so wanted to give a heads up. 2. I worked with a wedding planner & one instance they had an issue with my wedding planner emailing them vs having it come from me even though it was the same wording & my contract never stated I couldn’t have my wedding planner email. 3. After the wedding, I did have multiple of my guests complain that the staff looked “over it” & I can understand working so much in that period of time is tiresome but I would just hope for future weddings maybe don’t show it so much.Other than those VERY small issues, I would highly recommend this venue. As said, especially if you are planning from out of town like me. If I could give 4.5/5 instead of 4 I would.

From the beginning, they did everything they could to make us feel comfortable and help my wife fulfill the vision she had for our wedding day. We hired this venue for our daughters reception. The venue itself is beautiful and the food was great. Our guest had nothing but good things to say about how delicious everything was. However, the employees literally jumped in immediately breaking down tables, throwing flowers and personal belongings to the side. I have never felt so rushed in my life. We had to grab our stuff quickly and just throw it in the car to keep it from getting messed up or misplaced. In my opinion, they should wait until the family has finished (within that hour of course) before they jump in and complicate everything. Overall, I would not recommend this venue!

That's because they had everything we needed in one place - catering, bar service, tables, chairs, inside/outside ceremony options AND multiple options for an outdoor ceremony set up. The staff on the day of was on point! They were quick to serve the bride and groom our passed hors d'oeuvres and not to mention the food was delicious. The only thing I wish we could do is pay in advance. They were very much adamant on paying on the day they asked rather than ahead of time. Payments can also take up to two weeks to process after the due date which was a little challenging. This is all in the contract though which we agreed to, so I am not taking any stars for that! I only wish it was a little easier to pay them :) Otherwise, this venue is extremely feasible especially for what you are receiving! I will always recommend Creek Club to anyone looking to get married in the Lowcountry!

The Creek Club makes planning a wedding as easy as possible. It has a beautiful space for the ceremony and reception if you want it at the same spot. The food (which is DELICIOUS, seriously my guests could not stop raving about it) is included in the venue so one less thing to stress about. Peggy and Colleen are also so sweet; they are very flexible and make the process seamless. I wish I could do my wedding day over again and again - that's how much I loved Creek Club Venue and People! I had a COVID Wedding in September 2020 and the Creek Club Team was beyond helpful. They provided updates on rules and SOLUTIONS so we could still have the wedding of our dreams. We had such a fantastic day! Colleen was the main person we worked with and I can't recommend her and this venue enough. We have guests raving about the food still to this day, no exaggeration! We went with passed appetizers during cocktail hour and the top shelf alcohol package. I loved that they allowed us to bring in any extra alcohol we wanted (ie craft beer, a certain wine etc) at no up charge if we had a guest that wanted something specific too. For dinner, we went with shrimp and grits, prime rib, and fried turkey. It was all SO delicious. The Creek Club Team was extremely thoughtful too, I don't think I got up one time throughout the night for a drink of water or alcohol or food. They were very attentive and did those 'extra' things to make our day special so we could enjoy each moment. I really loved how they also provided me with vendors they recommend. This was super helpful in the beginning process of planning! Also, the breakdown of costs was very straight forward and nothing \"hidden\" that I know brides can be wary of when paying for a wedding. Between the people working at the venue, the delicious food, the LOCATION and look of the venue, and all that they provide...10/10. Overall, I would recommend this venue to every person having a Wedding...whether it be destination or local, this is the best venue and ownership team! Thank you Creek Club Team for an unforgettable and absolutely perfect day!

Not only are the venue and surrounding community areas gorgeous, but the staff were excellent in helping us with any and all needs both prior to and during the wedding day. The food was absolutely delicious and our guests really seemed to enjoy their meals and drinks! I would highly recommend The Creek Club for anyone hoping to have their wedding in the Charleston area. 5/5 stars for sure!

Mike and his crew at Creek Club at I’On were great. They managed to pull off a wedding just 36 hours after Hurricane Dorian left town. Had I not known that a hurricane had tried to ruin our wedding, I never would have known it had happened at all. Mike had the landscape crew there early Friday morning to do a massive clean up and get the venue ready, even removing a huge fallen tree so we could use the garden. He had a full staff there, despite a mandatory evacuation just being lifted the day before. The food was delicious and everything went off without a hitch. My wedding coordinator with Bouquets and Bowties did all of the day of coordinating (which I highly recommend) and planning with the venue. The venue itself is very nice, with great, clean bathrooms, and well-functioning air conditioning (not always a guarantee in CHS!). We also did a boat exit from the dock, which is a fun option not offered at other venues!

The staff quickly and efficiently moved the chairs before the guests arrived. The fried chicken and beef brisket were a huge hit! We got married over a week ago and are still hearing from guests how wonderful the food was, how kind the staff was, and how beautiful the grounds were. The team truly made the planning process easy every step of the way. They listened to our concerns with dietary restrictions and were so accommodating. Our plan was to have our ceremony outside in the yard/garden, cocktail hour on the porch and reception indoors. We were watching the weather like crazy when we got a tornado warning day of. Mike and his entire team didn't bat an eye. They knew exactly what to do to make it work and understood our true desire to have the outdoor ceremony. They (in partnership with our awesome wedding planner at Bouquets and Bowties) set up the wedding in the yard and had the porch set up for a quick switch just in case. The porch has great screen drop downs in case of rain. Somehow, they pulled off a miracle in getting us our outdoor ceremony. Highly recommend this venue, not only for how beautiful it is, but for the confidence in staff.

We looked at 10+ venues but the Creek Club was the only one that checked off all of our boxes—on the water, amazing food, ceremony and reception within the same venue so guests didn't have to travel, casual setup for guests to hang out indoors or outdoors, ample guest parking—everything about this location was perfect!

Because most of our guests were from out of town and had never been to Charleston before, we wanted to give them the quintessential lowcountry experience. We looked at 10+ venues but the Creek Club was the only one that checked off all of our boxes—on the water, amazing food, ceremony and reception within the same venue so guests didn't have to travel, casual setup for guests to hang out indoors or outdoors, ample guest parking—everything about this location was perfect!

This venue is not only beautiful it is professional and easy to work with. Nina was great every step of the way and not too pushy like some catering managers. The space was perfect and the food was fabulous. All of our guest had nothing but good things to say about the food and staffing. Thank you for such a perfect wedding!!!!

This venue is not only beautiful it is professional and easy to work with. Nina was great every step of the way and not too pushy like some catering managers. The space was perfect and the food was fabulous. All of our guest had nothing but good things to say about the food and staffing. Thank you for such a perfect wedding!!!!

This location is absolutely beautiful! It was the perfect setting for our wedding. We received so many compliments about not only the venue itself, but also the food! Everything turned out delicious.

When I visited Creek Club I KNEW this was the venue I wanted our reception to be at. The location was beautiful, it sells itself. The day of went exactly as planned and was flawless. My only hiccup was that at first we were completely disappointed with the food tasting. I contacted Nina to make her aware and she AMAZINGLY gave us a second food tasting which ended up being phenomenal! The food was fantastic and our guests raved. The contract does have fees in it which really bumped up our catering fee....I was pretty disappointed about that and wish I would have added everything up before hand, however it was a fantastic day!

I'll start with the great... the venue, food, ceremony, everything day of was excellent. So why the, only, 3-star review? Nina. Pure and simple. Never has one person made being excited about everything for a wedding so difficult. Everyone else at Creek Club was fine to deal with. Nina, made us want to scream constantly. Customer service was terrible from this one person in our (and only our experience that I'm speaking from) experience. We attempted to contact the venue for a tasting of our menu approximately a month and a half in advance of expectation. She did not respond for more than two weeks (this was in January, not \"quite\" the busy season for weddings). She only responded after my wife and the wedding planner made numerous attempts to contact her to see what weekend would work best. We don't hear from her, we have to book flights, etc, which we do, she finally gets back in touch with us and tells us the weekend we selected won't work. Not what can she do to maybe find something. No, she tells us, \"Well, you should of checked with us (venue) before booking your flight.\" WE TRIED FOR TWO + WEEKS! My wife and I were up front about a request for guests as they arrived. When we toured the venue (someone other than Nina), \"Yes, I don't see that being a problem.\" When I spoke with Nina after the tasting mishap and expressed my frustration with that situation, I clearly stated the special request again, and was informed that shouldn't be a problem, and we can discuss it more during our final call a month before the wedding. I assume everything is okay. Final call comes, and I'm paraphrasing here... Um, yeah that won't work, and you should have known better. She was extremely irritating, pretentious and lacked any awareness that the people she was speaking to were giving her thousands of dollars. Every conversation with this girl, and I'm using girl because she acted like a petulant teenager, not a professional business person, was beyond irritating. Had it not been for Nina, this venue easily would of struck a 5-star review. It's beautiful, it's quaint and it's a wonderful representation of Charleston charm. Nina killed it. Hell, if Nina had only been obnoxious and pretentious on a single communication it probably would have still been a 5-star, but nope. She was disappointing the entire time. Even when we corrected the mistake she made to our food contract in her (the venue's favor), we still were made to feel like the jerks.Great place, bad Nina. She single-handily sucked joy from what should be a great experience (especially the one you pay the most money to) and replaced it with misery.

Everyone enjoyed our beautiful wedding reception at The Creek Club- the venue is gorgeous and the food was tasty, unique, and not the stereotypical wedding reception food expected. The day of service was great; however, the reception preparations leading up to our wedding day were UNNECESSARILY STRESSFUL. Coordinating a reception in Charleston from Washington DC was a feat that The Creek Club made even more difficult. My parents and I had to reschedule our trip to Charleston, which was planned two months in advance. This was due to The Creek Club's strict tasting schedule availability. When we arrived at the tasting the food that we had selected ahead of time was not available for us. I understand now that those items are not available for tasting. However, some prior notice would have been nice. As the wedding neared the final guest count/payment was due, we continuously attempted to contact The Creek Club via email and phone to obtain a final amount due so that payment could be submitted. We did not receive responses until the evening before the payment was due and then, of course, the payment was due the following day! We had a station reception and my guests noticed that only a few plates of prime rib were left out (while people were still eating dinner) and a majority of the roast was taken back to the kitchen. The MOB ate fish instead of prime rib because she thought there was barely any left for the guests to eat. For timeline planning purposes, although The Creek Club contract states that the event must end at 10PM, I was consistently told (and found nowhere in the contract) that the bar could not stay open past 9:30PM. This was after I had finalized the event timeline with all vendors and printed the invitations. All in all, I believe that The Creek Club is a great venue that will create an enjoyable wedding reception and would recommend them as long as you're prepared for a minimal level of customer service during the planning stages of your event.

I was so excited to book this venue because it was so beautiful. However, it was a bit of a concern that catering emails would usually take a week for a response and at one time there was no response for a month. Overall, the food turned out better than expected, but was disappointed in the customer service during the planning process.

We got married and had our reception at the Creek Club on July 10, 2015. It is a beautiful venue, and the food was delicious! The weather was perfect - no rain! Everything was wonderful, except for a few minor things.... the morning of our wedding, I was there setting up decorations with family and bridesmaids, and then a huge group of people came and began doing their wedding rehearsal outside where we were trying to set things up. It really wasn't problematic, but the other wedding party was looking at me like we were being rude, when we were trying to put up bows on the aisle chairs and hang paper lanterns from the tree. Just be warned that this may happen on the day of your wedding OR at your wedding rehearsal if you choose this venue. But like I said, it really was not problematic for us at all - we got our decorations put up, and I believe the other wedding party had a fine rehearsal. One other thing that bothered me was the catering staff during dinner. They were like sharks! Swooping in and taking away food as soon as your back was turned for a second. I understand that a schedule was set and they were just doing their job, but please don't take away the food from the Bride and Groom when guests come up to talk to them. I had eaten almost nothing all day with all of the stress and the planning, and the catering staff took my plate away the second I stood up to hug someone who came up to our table. Not okay. But, all in all, this is an absolutely beautiful venue and a great value. The food was delicious (or at least the few bites I had were!) and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this venue for a wedding/reception! Oh, and I saw somewhere that the Creek Club's guest maximum is 250 or something... that would be crazy! We had 95 and it felt perfect. Not too crowded/stuffy, but not too much space. It was the perfect place for our beautiful wedding!
