The Crofoot is a beautiful wedding venue located in the heart of Pontiac, MI. Conveniently located in the heart of Oakland County, the Crofoot Ballroom is an architecturally intriguing gem. Its 1830's historic restoration, coupled with professional staff, state-of-the-art sound, light, and video systems, and modern design features, allows us to provide beautiful, flexible, and hip events. We held our wedding at the Crofoot and it was perfect! From our first meeting to the day of, the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. There was always easy communication which I really appreciated through the planning process. For a large capacity venue, the price was very reasonable. They had an extensive list of vendors, many of which we used and were so happy with as well. We could not be happier with how our wedding turned out. A huge thank you to Justin, Kristine and Miguel! We highly recommend the Crofoot.

We attended a wedding at the Crofoot Ballroom last evening. Truly a gorgeous, beautiful setting!! Plenty of room for the over 200 guests in attendance. The ceremony performed on the stage allowed easy visibility for all the guests to witness the couple exchange their vows. Also great to have the entire bridal party together for the dinner. The floor seating was so elegant—-flowers and candlelight on every table. Such beautiful ambience. The wedding coordinator, Kristine, did such a wonderful job at the rehearsal 2 nights before, and especially at the wedding. She was such a delightful, conscientious and energetic person. Awesome job, Kristine! I hope we get invited to another event at the Crofoot!

We attended a wedding at the Crofoot Ballroom last evening. Truly a gorgeous, beautiful setting!! Plenty of room for the over 200 guests in attendance. The ceremony performed on the stage allowed easy visibility for all the guests to witness the couple exchange their vows. Also great to have the entire bridal party together for the dinner. The floor seating was so elegant—-flowers and candlelight on every table. Such beautiful ambience. We had our dream wedding at The Crofoot! We fell in love with the venue upon seeing it in person. We had hoped to have a wedding in a theater and struggled to find one in our budget. This venue fit our budget and was able to accommodate almost anything. The building itself has a natural beauty that we loved. Kristine was incredibly helpful during the wedding planning and Justin was helpful on the day of, as our wedding coordinator. This venue has so many hidden perks and beauties. This venue is a great place to use as a canvas, as you can do almost any design plan. Our guests loved the place and we were told over and over how impressed they were with the venue and the character the building had. The venue has multiple rooms with different vibes, which created great spaces for conversation, dancing, and all of our needs. We had our dance floor on stage and it was plenty of space for our 185 person wedding. The sound and light system is top of the line and our music sounded fantastic. We looked at several venues prior to the Crofoot, and are so happy with our choice!

I cannot say enough good things about this venue! Not only is it a beautiful and unique venue the team there is amazing! I got married on June 1, 2019 and had both my ceremony and reception at The Crofoot. From the very beginning Kristine the event coordinator made me comfortable and answered all my questions (and trust me I had A LOT of questions). Justin my day of coordinator took everything I had envisioned for my perfect day and made it even better! It was truly like the staff there read my mind and created my perfect wedding day! Justin took the time throughout the day to make sure that me and my now husband were happy! I highly highly recommend this venue if you want a wedding day that is truly magical! So many of my guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to!

OUR PERFECT VENUE!I was searching for so long to find a venue that I fell in love with and had a moment of, \"this is it,\" the way I did with my dress.I was going to settle when I decided to look through The Knot one more time and spotted The Croofoot. When I went in person, the moment I walked into this unique venue I had my moment.The space itself is so unique and completely customizable. You can absolutely have any theme or style of wedding you can imagine.Throughout the whole process both Kristine and Justin were absolutely awesome and accommodating.Justin was there for us on the wedding day as our \"day of coordinator\" working with our wedding planner. Honestly, if it weren't for him I wouldn't have made it down the aisle without balling my eyes out. I was waiting for my turn to walk down the aisle and when my (then) fiancé's song started to play, all the emotion of the day hit me. Justin popped his head in and asked me if I wanted to hear some \"dad jokes\" to calm me down. It absolutely worked and I was laughing at how awful they were.Throughout the whole night he always asked us what we needed and got us everything and anything right away.My day was an absolute fairytale and I can't thank The Crofoot staff enough for that!!!!

Best decision by far to choose the Crofoot as my wedding venue!! The venue itself is unique and beautiful. Then the coordinator Kristine and her team were so amazing and accommodating to work with from the beginning. Awesome Venue!! My husband and I wanted something different than your typical golf course/hall venue, and the Crofoot was just that! We received non stop compliments on the venue all night and even weeks after! Being that it is more of a concert venue, the sound system and lighting were top notch. We decided to upgrade to the Edison bulb chandelier and it was worth every penny, it completely set the mood and added the perfect touch. We had our ceremony in the ballroom as well, the Crofoot staff made the transition easy and worry free, while our guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the Vernor's room and the front lobby. Kristine was very helpful and easy to work with months leading up to the big day, and Stephanie was a pleasure to work with on the day of. There was nothing we had to stress about and the staff took great care of us, the day was everything we dreamed of and more!!! We highly recommend the Crofoot to anyone looking for a unique and fun space to celebrate the best day of your life.

I cannot say enough about this place! Not only is this place unique, but that staff is absolutely incredible! We have been planning our wedding with them for over a year and they never dropped the ball. Even when we have a few issues on our wedding day (nothing that they did) they rolled with the punches, helped pushed through, and made sure everyone was happy. I had numerous people tell me how much they loved the staff and made everyone feel welcomed. They went above and beyond with setting up the ceremony and reception. They surprised us by upgrading our linens and got us chair covers. I was blown away! These people TRULY care about you, what you want, and they make sure your day is special. I would recommend this place to anyone! Their prices are great, great location, great staff...It can't get any better!

We had our wedding at the Crofoot on August 26, 2017. I literally have never been so happy in my life. Kristine, the event planner, is absolutely fantastic. She has amazing vision and ideas and is extremely professional yet fun! I knew when I went in for the tour 9 months prior to our wedding that I absolutely could see myself getting married there. We belong to a golf/social club yet that's not what I visioned for our day. Both sets of parents were hesitant about this unique venue but when it was all said and done, the space transformed into one of the most beautiful and glamorous ballrooms anyone had ever seen. We had a live 10 piece band which rocked the house! The sound and lighting in the Crofoot are AMAZING and top-notch! Luckily our weather was perfect so we were able to utilize the outdoor space for our cocktail hour \"bier garden.\" Kristine helped us personalize every square inch of the large venue in order to make it perfect for my husband and I. I cannot say enough things about the staff there (bartenders, door men, mangers, etc..) as everyone was helpful, fun and kind to guests. If the bar is important to you, the Crofoot is a MUST! They offer a very reasonably priced premium package which included MANY bottled local beers as well as a lot of high quality liquors. We also had a separate coffee station with its own barista for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic coffee specialty drinks. I am not exaggerating when I say that all 280+ guests have not stopped talking about how awesome, unique and fun our wedding was. We are in our mid 30's and the wedding we hosted at the Crofoot last month was a dream come true. I highly highly highly recommend the space and team there! I cannot wait to get our professional photographs back. There are so many beautiful spots inside this old space and Pontiac is on the rise! We had our August wedding here and I would absolutely do it all over again. Kristine was incredibly warm and accommodating, and she made our day everything we wanted it to be. Their staff was friendly and professional, the venue is incredibly beautiful and unique, and all of our guests had the best time. Our photographer loved it, especially! Well worth the price!

5 stars does not do The Crofoot justice! The day was perfect and Kristine was by my side every step of the way! She made herself available to answer any and all of my questions (there were a lot...) and treated my fiance and I like family. We had our ceremony and reception here in September of this year and it was amazing!! Kristine and her staff did a wonderful job putting together our vision of a vintage circus themed wedding. Kristine did an amazing job with coordinating up to and on the day of so everything went off stress free! I would recommend this venue to anyone not wanting your typical run of the mill wedding. They really make planning the wedding a fun and enjoyable experience.

I had my ceremony and reception at the Crofoot this August and I could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. From day one, Kristen and the crew were so helpful with all of our planning needs. Any questions we had were answered quickly and clearly. She was also very flexible throughout the entire process with offering different options (seating, caterer placement, etc.) and worked with us (and my mom) in a very sweet, friendly, and professional manner. Mary took over for the actual day and hooked us up big time during our rehearsal and day of - she took care of my fiancé and I spectacularly. I didn't have to worry about a thing because she was so involved and collected. Her cool demeanor relaxed us both and she was a vital part in making our day fun and not stressful. The Crofoot itself is so beautiful and eclectic, I can't imagine my wedding being anywhere else. The entire night, my guests could not stop raving about how cool the venue was, how different and refreshing it was, and how awesome the bar was! Most of our guests ended up staying the entire time because there were lots of lounge areas set up so they could grab a drink, relax, and still be a part of the festivities without actually having to get up and dance every song. I was especially happy about the sound system and elevator - the music wasn't too loud to stop conversation and our older guests were able to get around comfortably. Definitely the right place to have your wedding if you want to be unique, fun, and don't like being sat at yet another banquet hall. It was cool enough for us and our younger guests, and historic looking and accommodating enough for our traditional grandparents. LOVED every minute I spent there!

I had my ceremony and reception at the Crofoot this August and I could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. From day one, Kristen and the crew were so helpful with all of our planning needs. Any questions we had were answered quickly and clearly. She was also very flexible throughout the entire process with offering different options (seating, caterer placement, etc.) and worked with us (and my mom) in a very sweet, friendly, and professional manner. Mary took over for the actual day and hooked us up big time during our rehearsal and day of - she took care of my fiancé and I spectacularly. I didn't have to worry about a thing because she was so involved and collected. Her cool demeanor relaxed us both and she was a vital part in making our day fun and not stressful. The Crofoot itself is so beautiful and eclectic, I can't imagine my wedding being anywhere else. The entire night, my guests could not stop raving about how cool the venue was, how different and refreshing it was, and how awesome the bar was! Most of our guests ended up staying the entire time because there were lots of lounge areas set up so they could grab a drink, relax, and still be a part of the festivities without actually having to get up and dance every song. I was especially happy about the sound system and elevator - the music wasn't too loud to stop conversation and our older guests were able to get around comfortably. Definitely the right place to have your wedding if you want to be unique, fun, and don't like being sat at yet another banquet hall. It was cool enough for us and our younger guests, and historic looking and accommodating enough for our traditional grandparents. LOVED every minute I spent there!

While Crofoot might not come to mind immediately when considering wedding venues, it did for my husband and I. We were looking for something a little different and the Crofoot was just that! Kristen was great to work with during the contracting process and her package was very competitive. The lighting/sound included with the package are huge perks and ensured the space looked perfect and the band sounded great! We have received endless compliments on our wedding and the most common is that people felt they were \"part of a show\" because of how exciting the venue stage and setup were.

We wanted a venue that was \"different\" and not the typical golf course or banquet hall. We fell in love with the Crofoot the first time we saw pictures. We were hesitant at first because the price seemed to be higher than most places, but it was well worth it. There were lots of little things that were included, that at other venues they would have charged extra for. We especially loved the lighting and the use of the patio and lounge furniture. \r\rWe worked with Kristen throughout our whole planning process, and she was awesome to work with! She was so helpful in making sure we had thought of everything and had everything covered. Lots of things would have been forgotten or overlooked if it wasn't for her! We also worked with Mary for our day-of needs and she was a great help in making sure everything was running smoothly. \r\rWe have received many compliments that our wedding was the best wedding people had been to in a long time, and everyone raved about the venue. We had our wedding at the Crofoot in August and it was an amazing experience! We had such a fun time and all of our guests commented on what a unique and fun venue we had. Bar and secruity staff at the Crofoot made our night one to remember, they were all amazing!! Bartenders interacted with the guests and gave us everything we asked for with no excpetions! Security was very professional and greeted all of our guests and made them feel welcome, they even coordinated their outfits with our wedding colors and arranged for our hotel bus to come back multiple times after our last ride was scheduled to make sure all of our guests got back safely. Venue is unique and fun, it has multiple areas for guests to mingle and have a great time. There are multiple bars open including a padio bar. Our only problem with the night came with our wedding coordinator(s). We had been speaking with a specific person who had coordinated all of the details of the wedding form the time we booked the venue almost a year out. This person waited until the week before the wedding to tell us that she would not be at the wedding but another coordinator would be taking over for the day of the event. When the day of the event came we had no coordinator on site and it caused many details of the wedding to be missed or completely messed up. We trusted the coordinators to make sure everything went smoothly and just like we had planned for the past year. Long story short, all of our planning went out the window when there was no one there to coordinate on the day of our wedding. That being said the venue was amazing, staff was great and very fun and all of our guests had an amazing time and could not stop talking about what a uniqe venue we had.

We did not want a “traditional” wedding (unimaginative banquette hall). We wanted the WOW factor, we wanted people to leave saying “That was awesome!” but we quickly learned the Detroit area did not have much to offer in alternative, unique venues. We toured EVERYTHING that we could find until I found the Crofoot. \r\rThe Crofoot is beautiful; all the exposed brick & iron work with the huge windows & balcony gave such a warm feeling. The café entrance was so unique & upscale. However, walking into the main ball room I realized how small the first floor is. Don’t get me wrong, it’s impressive but the columns supporting the balcony & the main bar eat up a lot of space so when you start looking at adding 10 tables for dinner there is no room left for a dance floor. You HAVE to break your tables up & put people upstairs for dinner if you are doing a formal dinner. We finished our tour & were very impressed with the rest of the venue. The upstairs area is amazing; I could just imagine our friends being up there looking down at the dance floor or chilling on one of the retro leather couches. The patio area is perfect, most banquette halls have smokers go outside the venue to smoke so guests are completely cut off from the reception but the big windows help keep your guests part of the reception if they step out for a smoke. Unfortunately, I just kept getting hung up on how to do the seating for dinner because I did not want to break up our guests. \r\rWe ended up eloping in Las Vegas. When we came home our parents agreed to throw a reception. We immediately called the Crofoot to book a date! We ended up doing “small plate” stations (1 on the main floor & 2 upstairs) & since the stations were buffet style we didn’t need to do formal seating. I had 6 tables of 6 seats on the 1st floor & 6 tables of 6 on the 2nd floor, plus a couple couches & benches on the first floor. We had the cocktail tables with stools for additional seating. The dance floor was a little tight, but worked out perfectly. \r\rSince my we eloped my parents weren’t pleasant in the beginning of this process. Kristen was amazing and really helped them see this wasn’t so “out of the box”. I did most of the planning but Kristen was always there to help me figure out something or let me come in & measure. She was an excellent resource to talk to about ideas! I was a little worried our set up would be on us, but her team at the Crofoot did everything. I dropped off the decorations the day before & walked into the most amazing wedding reception I could have ever hoped for!\r\rWalking into the Crofoot the night of our reception was incredible. They had a red carpet out, the door man looks so cool with his hat, & the velvet ropes just gave it the perfect touch! I hadn’t asked for that & loved the added touch! \r\rOur day of coordinator, Mary, was marvelous. She was always there to help, answer questions, keeping us on time, & get us drinks while we waited for our entrance. The security & bar tenders were first-rate – great attitudes, always smiling, attentive. I have received amazing feedback from our vendors as well. Our band was so impressed with their sound staff, our photographer loved shooting in the Crofoot – lots of hidden gems ladies!!! (Like an amazing chandelier in an awesome hidden stairwell). \r \rIf you are looking for a unique, beautiful venue with excellent, attentive staff then you found it in the Crofoot. We got our WOW factor!

I just had my wedding reception there over the weekend, and it was a fantastic event! Kristen was amazing to work with. She kept in full contact with me the whole time. She also helped make sure everything got set up, and even had the staff help set up the centerpieces when it was clear they weren't getting done with the help I had wrangled up. I rented a fog machine, which was so cool! It made for a really dramatic entrance, and kept a cool hazy atmosphere. The lighting was amazing too! Everyone said the venu was so unique and cool, and that they had never been to a better wedding.\r\rThey also provided really good security. A security person even followed us around while taking photos outside, just to make sure we stayed safe. There was also someone in the parking lot booth the whole time, as well. \r\rMy only downside is to be REALLY CLEAR as to when the bar should be an open bar and when it should be cash. I thought I had iterated a number of times that I didn't want the bar to open until 6, that is what I put on the invites, on the map cards from the ceremony, and on the schedules I had sent around to all my vendors. I had also planned on closing bar at dinner. However they started serving drinks at 5, served through dinner and tried to close the bar to cash at 9. I take responsibility for not closing over dinner, it's possible I only talked about it to the caterer and my parents, not to Kristen. However them not charging for drinks before 6 was all on them, I had made it very clear when I expected things to start. My matron of honor got it straightened out, though, and they kept the bar open to 10 without extra charge. So I give them full credit for making things right in the end!\r\rIf you want a truly memorable reception, this is a fantastic place!

The Crofoot was nothing short of amazing; not only with their extremely helpful and friendly staff, but with their awesome venue as well. The rental fee was more than we planned to pay, but with all the extra bells and whistles that you get with your rental, the higher fee was totally worth it! This venue is urban, modern and not at all your typical wedding venue, which was perfect for my husband and I...we absolutely loved everything about it! You do have to bring in your own caterer though but they provide you with some recommendations.

I couldn't imagine a better venue! We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at the Crofoot (the ballroom is just one of many beautiful rooms in the venue!) There's a lot of exposed brick and historic details. The ballroom itself has both an outdoor balcony and patio. The whole building is the perfect balance of edgy and sophisticated. \r\rKristen, the party consultant was AMAZING! I told her what I wanted, and she made it all happen. I was afraid I would overload her with all the little details, but she kept cool and everything went perfectly! I don't know how she did it! \r\rThey have one of the best lighting and sound sytems in the country. They also had a lot of decorations and different kinds of seating that you're free to use. The building definitely allows for your guests to do a lot of moving around, so no one gets bored. \r\rSecurity was wonderful! Kendall, one of the security guys especially went above and beyond, holding my train as I walked around outside for pictures, helping my mom fix a broken hook on my dress, and going with my sister when she decided to venture off alone outside looking for someone (its not the best neighborhood, but they made sure everyone was safe).\r\rMy guests are still raving about our wedding, the venue, and the Crofoot staff! They couldn't have been more amazing! I would give them SIX stars if I could!

This venue was exactly what we dreamed of for our wedding. If you are looking for a hip venue and amazing staff, the Crofoot is the place. The staff will go over and beyond to make it your dream wedding. You will have to bring in your own caterer and linens ect but it allows for you to personalize everything

After booking the Crofoot and the Pike room almost a year in advance they booked a band in the pike room a month before my wedding, and refuse to cancel them. (what about my contract signed a year before?)The whole point of getting married there is because I met my fiance in the Pike room....sooo.... I guess we will see what happens. I dont know if these 2 reviewers are friends with the crofoot people or not, but nobody ever contacted me once they got a deposit.

I could go on and on about the Crofoot, but I just want to say that Kristen, bartenders, security, clean up crew, and the Management were amazing the day of my wedding! The event was flawless! If it wasn't, then I didn't notice! Kristen was amazing the months leading up to the wedding! She made sure that everything was set, and gave me lists of things to complete! She rocks! If you want to have an unforgettable wedding, and blow your guests away! HAve your wedding here! Best said by one of my guests, \"It was a diamond in the rough\". I could go on and on about the Crofoot, but I just want to say that Kristen, bartenders, security, clean up crew, and the Management were amazing the day of my wedding! The event was flawless! If it wasn't, then I didn't notice! Kristen was amazing the months leading up to the wedding! She made sure that everything was set, and gave me lists of things to complete! She rocks! If you want to have an unforgettable wedding, and blow your guests away! HAve your wedding here! Best said by one of my guests, \"It was a diamond in the rough\". The Crofoot staff was helpful although disorganized at times. I was really concerned with how things were going to turn out. They came through in the end; everyone was saying it was the coolest wedding reception they'd ever been to! Security was great; walking people to their cars etc. Everyone is super nice.
