I can't say enough about the event staff at The Current, from our first tour, to food tasting, to final adjustments and day-of, Dalida and team were organized, professional and flexible! They helped with every item on our wishlist and made sure things ran as smoothly as possible. Day-of we had a hiccup with our dance floor delivery (don't hire Brandon Rentals) and The Current team ended up practically putting the whole dance floor together for us - life savers! Only room for improvement would be the front desk staff, we had a few issues checking in to our suite and got moved to different room numbers a couple times. Otherwise it was perfect!

Iâll start off by saying we live in Tampa and have been coming to current for the last ~2 years and have LOVED it every time. Itâs such a classy hotel with amazing views, and we absolutely love the bartenders + bar managers on the rooftop. Since weâve always had a great experience coming there, we figured we would have our wedding there too. We were thrilled to have all our loved ones come stay with us and see how awesome Tampa is.Well⊠weâre pretty disappointed in the way they handled our wedding. Our âday of coordinatorâ didnât even show face, the beach looked like absolute complete shit for both the rehearsal and ceremony- we had to literally drag people out there to rake it AFTER the chairs and everything was already set up. We had gift bags for every guest and communicated multiple times, but they werenât handing people bags upon check-in, lack of communication for rooms ect. If we didnât hire an actual wedding planner, our day would have been a complete disaster. Thankfully we also had our reception somewhere else.Not to mention a woman at the front desk told me she was looking for a copper stand for a sign everywhere and couldnât find an affordable one, so I offered her mine for a smaller price than I paid, and out of the kindness of my heart I left it with her after our wedding, trusting that the money would be sent to me and I have yet to receive any payment or anything from her. Aside from the very friendly people we already know & love there, couldâve been a much better experience.

Such a beautiful place to get married. We were married on the rooftop. They accommodated us by bringing up chairs for our family to sit during the ceremony. The beach area was clean and the perfect size for photos. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The room was beautiful with the floor to ceiling windows. Definitely recommend!

1. The staff is professional and courteous. From start to finish I was provided with thorough, friendly service. All of the details were discussed and I never had to question \"what next\". Courtney and Rachel were a phenomenal team. Day of the event, everyone worked seamlessly together. They ensured our guests were enjoying the evening and had everything they needed.2. The venue is gorgeous. The backdrop of Tampa Bay for our ceremony made for great photo ops and views for our guests. The Rox Rooftop bar is modern, elegant, simple and stylish. Which was exactly what I was looking for. The staff graciously worked with me to obtain the look/feel I was envisioning. (Our ceremony was at 6pm on the beach, then to the Rooftop for our reception until 11pm) The hotel itself is new, clean, and tastefully decorated. The guest suites/rooms and views are stunning. Our guests that stayed the night/weekend wished they could have stayed longer. 3. The surprisingly expansive selection of food. The Current offers something for everyone's taste. Our guests raved about how great everything was. The presentation of our selections looked amazing. Staff was attentive with refreshing food & our dedicated bartender served fantastic cocktails throughout the night.4. Honestly no cons about The Current. I'd do it all over again!

Our wedding weekend was an absolute dream, largely due to the wonderful experience my family, friends & I had at The Current! The hotel is gorgeous, with a fantastic pool, beautiful rooftop bar and expertly styled decor. As a Tampa native, I especially appreciated the thoughtful \"Tampa\" touches throughout (i.e. the Buddy Brew coffee bar on the main floor). I got all the âstaycationâ/wedding weekend vibes I was seeking and more. I stayed in the two bay suite which was amazingâŠ.my bridesmaids and I got ready for the wedding in there, too. There was plenty of room for us (11) and our hair and makeup team (4); it also accommodated the revolving door of family members and friends. We took some of our wedding photos there (3/14/20) and they are stunning. I wish I could attach some to this review!So many of our guests commented on the waterfront views from their rooms and they loved the modern, clean feel. The service was incredible and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We had our rehearsal dinner there and, unsurprisingly, it was fantastic (we were expecting this, because we love their restaurant). We enjoyed live music & beautiful poolside/water views. The food was delicious, with excellent presentation. My friends & I frequently go to the rooftop bar for drinks on the weekends, as the ambiance and craft cocktails are hard to beat.I highly recommend hosting an event and/or staying here, youâll love it :)

She holds a degree in hospitality management and has been a certified wedding planner since 2013. Dalida has been a part of The CURRENT Hotel team since pre-opening and, along with our experienced banquet staff, will work with you to bring your wedding vision to life.
