The Delafield Hotel was a perfect venue for our wedding reception. The hotel is extremely classy both inside and out and the service was tremendous from the time we booked our reception to the end of our wedding day. We also had many compliments on the delicious food and drinks provided from the hand passed hors dâoeuvres, specialty cocktail, dinner entrees and especially the late-night soft pretzels with cheese. Hannah the venue coordinator was extremely helpful all the way through the process and even went above and beyond on the reception day even taking us up to the bell tower for photos twice so we could enjoy the beautiful sunset over Delafield. This venue may look pricier upfront but with the package price laid out nicely at the start it is a lot more value and less hassle than others and is 100% worth it to avoid so many headaches that we have seen with friends and familiesâ weddings and the Delafield hotel allowed us to have the best day ever. The event staff also had a bottle of our champagne on ice and two pieces of our cakes showcased and prepared for us in our room. My wife and I loved the hotel and would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

The Delafield Hotel was a perfect venue for our wedding reception. Everything you would hope for in a venue is what The Delafield Hotel provides! Our wedding went as smoothly as we couldâve possibly hoped for. Everything from the guest rooms to the event hall is gorgeous and well maintained. Their communication is top tier, and their food is even better. We had compliments from so many guests that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. Service is quick and fresh, so the food comes out hot. Bartending was amazing, they coordinated with vendors amazingly. We couldnât imagine a better experience and highly, highly recommend!

Everything you would hope for in a venue is what The Delafield Hotel provides! Our wedding went as smoothly as we couldâve possibly hoped for. Everything from the guest rooms to the event hall is gorgeous and well maintained. Their communication is top tier, and their food is even better. My husband and I had our reception at The Delafield Hotel & it was an absolute dream. The ballroom met our moody, vintage and cozy vibe, and our guests loved the hotelâs rooms and accommodations. Hannah and the whole crew took such good care of us and were super organized on the wedding day and leading up to it. And the food and drinks were spectacular. We are over the moon after our experience!

Our wedding at the Delafield Hotel was perfect! We were able to enjoy a stress free day because they took care of everything for us! From set up to tear down the hotel staff did it all. They made sure we were well taken care of for the entirety of our stay. The room was beautiful and the food was delicious! I cannot recommend this venue enough!

Our wedding at the Delafield Hotel was perfect! We were able to enjoy a stress free day because they took care of everything for us! From set up to tear down the hotel staff did it all. The Delafield Hotel was the most amazing place to have our wedding. The boutique style hotel has amazing rooms for all of your family and the ID restaurant and bar is great for catching a meal or grabbing a drink during your wedding weekend. Everything provided by the venue (Food, bar, dessert, late night food) was WONDERFUL. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating during the planning process and even better on the day of our wedding. Could not recommend them enough for any event.

I could go on forever about how amazing The Delafield Hotel was for my November 2023 wedding! Not only are the venue and hotel rooms so beautiful but the staff is top notch! Hannah the venue coordinator is so easy to work with and she made sure our day was everything we wanted. She worked so hard with the staff to get all our decor up and looking perfect! Plus the took it all down for us at the end of the night. We had our rehearsal dinner at ID and it was wonderful. The food and staff were perfection! My husband and I are vegan and they were so accommodating the whole weekend. If you are thinking about having your wedding here, I would do it! They even had a bottle of champagne from our toast and two of each dessert sent to our room for the end of the night. We couldnât have asked for better!

Sept. 2023....My daughter, her bridesmaids and myself (MoB) stayed in the Signature Suite of the hotel. There were 7 of us staying overnight so we could get ready on site for her wedding. There was plenty of room for all to sleep. The rooms were very clean and the shower was amazing. We did need extra towels with that many & the staff was more than accommodating and timely when we requested them. There is more than one room in this suite, with a common room in-between, so day of the gents were able to come and use 2nd half of the suiteto get ready as well, without seeing the bride. Again, staff was great helping with any requests and the rooms very luxurious and comfy.Hannah, the senior event manager, is simply wonderful to work with. From the beginning she was professional, patient and courteous. She helped walk us through all the details and things to consider and gave suggestions on things we were unsure about, but never pushy. Her communication was excellent, usually responding to my plethora of emails within an hour or two, but max was usually 24 hours. I'm not sure she took time off because she always answered promptly! Just a joy and pleasure to work with. She made us feel at ease, that things would be taken care of and as we approached the wedding day walked us through an approximate timeline of the wedding itself. If we were behind, it was because of us, not the hotel or staff. She did a great job coordinating and keeping things moving and on track. We were fortunate to have her as our day of coordinator, too.. We felt very comfortable with her.Howard, the Banquet Chef, did a phenomenal job. The ballroom was beautifully set up for the dinner and reception. We chose a plated dinner. With over 115 people to serve, you always worry that the food may not be hot. I know from working many years in Food Service this can be challenging. However, Howard and his staff did a fantastic job in serving everyone quickly and the food was HOT!! I received nothing but excellent and positive comments from many of our guests. The red wine braised short ribs were excellent..tender, flavorful, delicious! The prosciutto wrapped chicken was moist, beautifully presented and plentiful. Even our guests who chose the vegetarian polenta cakes said they were great. Wonderful meals. The hors'dourves during cocktail hour were scrumptious. The waitstaff was excellent and attentive. When my 96 yr. old mother couldn't eat her cake, they wrapped it and she was able to take it home. This made her happy. They also found something for her that wasn't chocolate, being later evening, that she could have. I can't say enough about our positive experience at The Delafield Hotel. I highly recommend it for your wedding venue or event. And if you get to work with Hannah and Howard and their staffs, you won't be disappointed. The wedding turned out to be exceptional, thanks in great part, to their expertise. I couldn't be happier.

We were so happy with our decision to have our wedding reception at the Delafield Hotel. The space is classic and sophisticated, and it requires minimal decor for an elegant event. Little touches such as the lobby screen displaying our pictures, having drinks set at the head table, and having hors d'oeuvres and signature drinks passed during cocktail hour made our wedding feel personal and luxurious, and I credit that completely to the hard work of the staff and their attention to detail. The value of this venue is unmatched, and I appreciated the clarity of pricing and cost upfront. We worked in the Glamorous package, but were able to make customizations like hosting our signature drink at the bar all night long. We have seen that other venues charge extra for wine pours, champagne toasts, linens, cake cutting, etc., and the fact that this was all included and laid out in our package cost was so helpful and a better value than other places you could choose. While the initial sticker cost may be higher than other venues, what you get for that dollar amount cannot be beat. Plus, many of our guests have claimed this was the best meal theyâve ever had at a wedding! Hannah, our event manager, was wonderful to work with, and she made sure that our vision came to life and kept things running smoothly. One of our favorite moments of our wedding day was taking photos and reading our private vows up in the bell tower. This is a truly special and unique moment you can only get here. The Delafield Hotel makes planning your wedding as easy as possible, and the value of service is unmatched â we have absolutely no concerns or complaints. My husband and I have such great memories of our wedding day, and we would confidently recommend the Delafield Hotel to anyone looking for a reception venue.

We were a lucky couple to get married during COVID. Not only did the team at the Delafield allow us to push the wedding from 2020 to 2021, but allowed a second push to 2022 so we were able to have EVERYONE join us in our celebration.We ended up renting the entire hotel for all of our wedding guests to stay and enjoy the late reception as well as the bar in ID. We held our rehearsal dinner at ID which has INCREDIBLE food. Even 6 months later my family is still commenting on the food we had.I was silly enough to make almost all of my table pieces, place cards, etc. Hannah set everything up the day of the wedding exactly as we talked about. I cannot say enough things about the hotel staff. The wedding was perfect, honestly, I cannot think of anything I would change.Well, one thing. I wish we could do it over and over as it was so special and out of this world.Thank you to ALL of the Delafield Hotel staff. Shout out to Dye at the ID bar, she is the BEST bartender!

Not only is this venue hip and trendy, but their service is top notch. Everything ran smoothly on our day and the Delafield Hotel went above and beyond to help correct mistakes with my floral even though they had nothing to do with them; they cut flowers out of their garden when I wasnât happy with my florist. Most people donât expect food at weddings to be great, but everyone was blown away. From our hand passed appetizers, speciality cocktail, and entrees at dinner, it was truly spectacular. I got SO many compliments on our food. If this hasnât sold you already, I experienced such kindness from the staff who went above and beyond when my mom got diagnosed with cancer two months before our wedding. Chelsea, the manager at ID, called me and made sure there was a VIP sitting area inside the ballroom so my mom could still enjoy our receptionâall free of charge. Hannah, the venue day of coordinator, made sure my mom was taken care of at dinner and served her table with a mask so she wasnât exposed to COVID. Not only is this venue hip and trendy, but their service is top notch. Everything ran smoothly on our day and the Delafield Hotel went above and beyond to help correct mistakes with my floral even though they had nothing to do with them; they cut flowers out of their garden when I wasnât happy with my florist. Most people donât expect food at weddings to be great, but everyone was blown away. From our hand passed appetizers, speciality cocktail, and entrees at dinner, it was truly spectacular. I got SO many compliments on our food. If this hasnât sold you already, I experienced such kindness from the staff who went above and beyond when my mom got diagnosed with cancer two months before our wedding. Chelsea, the manager at ID, called me and made sure there was a VIP sitting area inside the ballroom so my mom could still enjoy our receptionâall free of charge. Hannah, the venue day of coordinator, made sure my mom was taken care of at dinner and served her table with a mask so she wasnât exposed to COVID. I highly recommend the Delafield hotel! All of the guests loved the food they served. Hannah, the coordinator, was easy to work with and detail oriented. They worked very well with other vendors (especially Magnolia Floral)! The location made the wedding less stressful. The hotel is located in a cute area, which is great for out of town folks. Oh, and their pastry chef even made our cake which was also a guest favorite! The venue was beautiful! They allowed us the space to get ready in. We didn't get to attend the cocktail hour since we were tied up taking pictures, but one of the staff made us our own personal platter of appetizers so we wouldn't miss out. We were also given the honeymoon suite that night and it was absolutely stunning! It was a one stop shop with the ceremony, pictures, cocktail hour, dinner and reception all in the same building. We also got to take pictures in their bell tower. There is a hotel block for guests and complimentary valet. I would not change a thing. Absolutely loved it!

We got married on 5/21/2022 at the Delafield Hotel and it was the perfect venue for us. We loved that everything was all in one spot and the ballroom is beautiful. This is where you should have your wedding.Iâm not generally the type of person to write online reviews, and when I do, itâs usually not because of a positive experience. That said, I want you to understand that the first Thank You Iâm writing after our wedding this past Friday, August 21st, is to the Delafield Hotel by way of this review. Kim, Steve, and the entire event staff executed flawlessly (not hyperbole). One of our highest priorities for our wedding was to make sure that we took care of our 150 expected guests. As much as it was intended to be a celebration of our relationship, it was equally intended to serve as a thank you to the people who have supported us as a couple. And, while we definitely do not have a limitless budget, we wanted to have great food and an open bar. We considered over a dozen wedding venues, many of which were downtown. I knew of the Delafield Hotel from its excellent restaurant, I.D. Itâs swanky, upscale, and the food is phenomenal. But, for all of those reasons, I also avoided calling the hotel as a first option for our wedding venue. I knew what we had previously spent for dinner there as a couple, and I fully expected it to be beyond our reach. But, after seeing the pricing of the aforementioned venues, and after feeling like we were just another number to those venues, we decided to give the Hotel a call.It took about ten minutes of meeting with Kim to decide that this is where we wanted to have our wedding. Kim is prompt, organized, and direct, and she does not over- or under-sell her teamâs capabilities. She said we could create a custom wedding package that would work for our budget, and we did. Even after we had to reschedule because of COVID (originally planned for May 30th), Kim and her team let us know our options, and helped us to find a new date this summer that worked with the Hotel and with our other vendors. They even willingly adjusted our minimum down when we had to cut the guest list by two-thirds, to help control the size of the gathering. They proactively put all of the necessary protocols in place, and they called us as soon as any development had the potential to impact the wedding (e.g. the recent mask mandate). In a year where everything has, quite frankly, gone to hell, they made the re-planning process easy.And this past Friday, Steve and the wait staff executed perfectly. The food was excellent (not just for a wedding), the drinks were strong, and the service was outstanding. They took care of all of the little details the day-of; from setting up our dĂ©cor to securing our gifts after the reception. They let us and our family focus on our guests, not on turning over the venue for the next wedding. In short, as with everything else in the planning process, they made things easy. If youâre not already under contract with a venue, or if you are having to reschedule because of COVID, call the Delafield Hotel. If you want to have the perfect wedding and WOW your guests, do not hesitate to book the Delafield Hotel. It was by far the best decision my now Husband and I made when planning our big day. We chose them for three reasons; (1) the hotel is absolutely beautiful; (2) they offer the most delicious food youâll ever taste at a wedding, and (3) they have exceptional staff and service. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was truly perfect. The wedding coordinator Kim, assisted us during our planning, and helped execute all of the prepared details on our wedding day. Throughout our entire planning process, she was easily accessible through e-mail to answer any of our questions. Prior to the wedding she had gone through a checklist of items that we needed to bring for decorations and all the small detailed items we needed to make our wedding day exceptional. If anyone wins the award for being organized and on top of the ball, itâs Kim! She even helped us design our cake and had a great understanding of what the pastry chef was capable of creating for our cake design and cupcakes. We received so many compliments on our decadent cupcakes and cake, even from people who normally donât like to eat those types of desserts were impressed with the wonderful flavor.For our ceremony, we had quite the elaborate setup of 250 cylinder vases filled with water and floating candles on both sides of the aisle, along with white chiffon fabric draped along the aisle chairs. It was Kim and her team that took on the challenge to setup our aisle and fill each vase with water and light the candles. They made sure to account for safety measures and placed the vases far enough from the chairs to avoid having a guest accidently knock one over with their foot. Once they lit all the candles, the room became a magical place filled with warm glowing light. All of our guests were in awe with how beautiful the aisle looked. We have the Delafield Hotel staff to thank for how perfect our ceremony was. Not to mention the amount of time it took to setup all those vases, only to have to tear it all down to transform the room for our reception, in an hour and a half! They were able to do this successfully during our cocktail hour which was held in a separate room, how impressive is that!The staff made a huge impression on our guest during the reception with their exceptional table service. It was like a well conducted orchestra. When our wedding coordinator Kim, gave a signal to the staff they all put our salad plates down at the same time at our head table. We were all blown away! They also brought the dinner plates to our guests within a record time. The food was hot and so delectable. Our guests were impressed. It was extremely important to us that we had the best food at our wedding, it was the second highest priority on our list. Kim had explained to us how they are known for serving high quality food at an exceptionally quick rate. Basically, from the time the food is done cooking, it goes straight to the guest, rather than sitting under a warmer. All of our guests kept raving about their meals as well as the late-night food station.To conclude, I would rate the Delafield Hotel 10 out of 5 stars for overall venue, food and service. Absolutely exceptional! I now understand why they are a Four Diamond luxury hotel. They made our wedding a dream come true, and gave us our happily ever after as husband and wife. We received so many compliments on our decadent cupcakes and cake, even from people who normally donât like to eat those types of desserts were impressed with the wonderful flavor.For our ceremony, we had quite the elaborate setup of 250 cylinder vases filled with water and floating candles on both sides of the aisle, along with white chiffon fabric draped along the aisle chairs. It was Kim and her team that took on the challenge to setup our aisle and fill each vase with water and light the candles. They made sure to account for safety measures and placed the vases far enough from the chairs to avoid having a guest accidently knock one over with their foot. Once they lit all the candles, the room became a magical place filled with warm glowing light. All of our guests were in awe with how beautiful the aisle looked. We have the Delafield Hotel staff to thank for how perfect our ceremony was. Not to mention the amount of time it took to setup all those vases, only to have to tear it all down to transform the room for our reception, in an hour and a half! They were able to do this successfully during our cocktail hour which was held in a separate room, how impressive is that!The staff made a huge impression on our guest during the reception with their exceptional table service. It was like a well conducted orchestra. When our wedding coordinator Kim, gave a signal to the staff they all put our salad plates down at the same time at our head table. We were all blown away! They also brought the dinner plates to our guests within a record time. The food was hot and so delectable. Our guests were impressed. It was extremely important to us that we had the best food at our wedding, it was the second highest priority on our list. Kim had explained to us how they are known for serving high quality food at an exceptionally quick rate. Basically, from the time the food is done cooking, it goes straight to the guest, rather than sitting under a warmer. All of our guests kept raving about their meals as well as the late-night food station.To conclude, I would rate the Delafield Hotel 10 out of 5 stars for overall venue, food and service. Absolutely exceptional! I now understand why they are a Four Diamond luxury hotel. They made our wedding a dream come true, and gave us our happily ever after as husband and wife. Thank you Delafield Hotel!!!

Kim did a great job making sure everything flowed perfectly and was set up beautiful on our wedding day. She had lots of great suggestions during the planning process as well. We had many compliments on our food and the venue. The staff had cake, an extra plate of food, and champagne waiting in our suite for us to enjoy which was amazing after a long night of dancing!My only complaint would be the rooming situation, they ended up giving a room block to another wedding that was being held downtown that weekend (10 discounted rooms were included in our package). Had I known they were going to give another room block out I would have booked those rooms for my guests. Overall would highly recommend the service at The Delafield Hotel!

We got married at the Delafield Hotel New Years Eve 2018. We also stayed at the hotel the night before and the night of the wedding. Having the wedding and reception in the same place we were staying was very convenient, as it cuts down on all of the shuttling people around that can make wedding day stressful, and the rooms were very nice for staying in and getting ready in.The Delafield Hotel was a great place to hold a wedding. Everyone was helpful in the planning process, and as we live out of state it was important to have people we could trust at the venue. We had about 130 guests, and there was plenty of room in the ballroom for the ceremony and reception, with a cocktail hour in the room next door as they flipped the room.The food was excellent. During the cocktail hour we especially loved the arancini hors d'ouevres and during dinner our options were the salmon and scallops, the stuffed chicken, and the sweet potato cakes and our guests were impressed with all of the options. The Delafield Hotel also made the cake for our wedding. I was very impressed by the pastry chef's ability to make the cake exactly like I wanted based on a picture and short description of what we wanted. It was also one of the best tasting wedding cakes that I can remember eating (we got chocolate cake with peanut butter filling.)As far as cost goes, while there are venues that are cheaper, it would be very hard to find a venue of this quality at a better price. With the entire event going smoothly, the food being great, and the hotel being a unique and beautiful place for a wedding. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get married in Southeastern Wisconsin.

The Delafield Hotel was spectacular in every way! Kim was outstanding to work with. She was organized, professional, and gave great feedback. She let us organize the wedding the way we wanted, but made helpful suggestions to make sure things stayed on track. We used the grand ballroom for our ceremony and reception. We used the Cushing Room and foyer area for cocktail hour while the grand ballroom was being flipped from the ceremony to the reception. It worked out really well for our wedding and it was so nice to have everything in one place! The hotel itself is GORGEOUS! The staff were polite and professional. We had our wedding around Christmas so everything in the hotel was decorated beautifully for the holidays. The hotel rooms are stunning. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but it's worth the cost knowing you're getting a luxurious experience. I would highly recommend getting one of the Signature Suites or the Noble Suite for the wedding party. The rooms are huge so there's definitely enough space for a bigger bridal party. It's great for getting ready and having the photographers snap a few pictures before the ceremony. My husband and I definitely made the right decision to have our wedding here.

Kim Ash, the sales and catering manager, organizes all the weddings there, and she is absolutely phenomenal! And to top it off, they have a pastry chef that does wedding cakes, cupcakes, dessert bars, etc. We received so many compliments on the venue and food, and so many guests said it was the best wedding theyâd ever been too! From the moment we stepped into this hidden gem, we knew this would be the place we would get married. Kim Ash, is exceptional! Our parents and us were given a tour of the beautiful venue and we immediately fell in love and moved forward with booking the date (even before seeing the pricing- which we were so pleasantly surprised by as well!). The venue is a perfect mix of charming, modern, warm, elegant and is in a perfect location. Not to mention, how fun it was that we had the opportunity to âbuy outâ the hotel so that all 38 rooms would be occupied by our guests only. We have stayed in many hotels, and I have never seen rooms as beautiful, luxurious, and spacious as this. I.D., the restaurant and bar, is connected to the hotel and venue as well which is beautiful, classy, delicious, convenient- a great place for our guests to enjoy some food and cocktails before cocktail hour and post reception. We took our bridal party photos in there as well!Kim made the preparation for the wedding seamless. The woman knows every answer! You would have thought we were her only bride and groom because she gave us her full, undivided attention. We had the pleasure of working with her for 1 year during our engagement and there was not a single time that she didnât respond with a few hours, didnât know an answer, and didnât make me feel like her top priority. Our food tasting was wonderful and following it, she sat us down and planned the entire evening with us. The invoice included pricing for meals and the open bar (which her estimate was spot on!) and a list of the services and decor we requested, as well as an itinerary for the evening. Kim let us set up our own venue due to a slower wedding season, which was very special for us. She let us do our thing and would periodically check on us and give us her tasteful advice. This alleviated a ton of work and stress as everything was set and ready to go before the weekend. The Delafield Hotel staff are such âcan doâ people who put the finishing touches on the venue for us, including lighting the candles, displaying the dessert table and including the beautiful linens and chair covers. They said âyesâ to any request we had to make our vision perfect.Kim and the hotel staff brought our fairytale wedding to reality on the day. Kim and the staff adhered to the itinerary to ensure the events of the evening were on time. She even suggested a butler passed Old Fashion service during cocktail hour, which was a huge hit! The food was delicious, and their baker made beautiful and delicious cake and cupcakes (we were allowed to have 4 different flavor choices!). The service was exceptional and one of our favorite parts was seeing the servers walk out with our plates in a choreographed manner and watch for Kimâs arm to go up so they could set the places in front of us at the same time. We were able to pick from a variety of snacks for our late night food and we picked the nacho/fracho (fries and nacho) bar which was also a huge hit! The staff offered to clean up and box all of the decor around 11pm, which was incredibly nice and they kept I.D. open for our guests to go after the reception until 2:30am! Our honeymoon suite was absolutely beautiful (we will definitely be spending our anniversaries) and we were welcomed with cupcakes, champagne, and a handwritten note from Kim. We love details and there was not one that they missed that weekend. Thank you, Delafield Hotel, for a truly blissful & magical evening.

My husband and I were married at the Delafield Hotel at the end of September and we are still in awe at how wonderful the day was. Kim came on board approximately 3 months into planning and the transition was seamless. She worked very well with our planner as well (they only met at the rehearsal) and if anything went wrong on that day, we still do not know about it! The food was incredible, signature drinks were a hit, and we even had our pictures taken in the bell tower at sunset. I believe they will be offering outdoor ceremonies as well if this is something you are interested in!

We had a very wonderful experience planning our reception at The Delafield Hotel. It ended up being a very beautiful night with great food, great service and an awesome atmosphere! We had zero complications with the venue and the event coordinator is very organized and responsive! Many guests stated how much they enjoyed the venue and the guests that stayed overnight were very happy with the luxurious hotel rooms. An added perk was out of town guests could even bring their dogs with them to stay in the hotel! My husband and I could not have asked for anything more!

We had our highs and our lows with this venue but we concluded our wedding day being blown away by the incredible service of The Delafield Hotel. My fiance and I took a great deal of time selecting the perfect venue that reflected us as a couple. We booked our reception venue at the Delafield hotel prior to the renovations and loved its vintage and warm feel for our winter wedding. The coordinator and chef were wonderful to work with and throughout the planning process we were raving about the accommodations to every one of our guests. A few weeks before our wedding day we stopped in to make some final arrangements and found the restaurant closed and entire lower level completely remodeled. In shock we could not believe that with all the communication we had been having with the hotel that they never once mentioned these renovations. Heartbroken and furious I thought it was a lost cause. We met with the general manager and chef and at the end of our meeting they insured me that they would take care of each and every one of my concerns. And they did!!! They went above and beyond and on the big day when we pulled up to our reception we were blown away! Perfect is the only way I can describe it. We have been hearing complement after complement regarding the accommodations, service, decor, and THE FOOD (I can't even begin to talk about the amazing food) We are leaving 100% satisfied and raving non stop about their service to anyone who will listen.
