You can wed in front of the fireplace. An adjacent glass-covered conservatory and garden room come with a combined 3,500 square feet - ready for your cocktail hour and other events. Outside, our gazebo is ready for your ceremony, and our scenic deck offers views of the woods as a setting for dining and dancing. I can't recommend The Desmond Hotel enough for your wedding needs! Recently married last week, it was a pleasure working with Karen and her team from the start. All of our many questions and requests were handled professionally and they truly did everything to make the process as easy as possible, whole providing constant reassurance along the way that our day would be beautiful. And it was! Beautiful is an understatement! I was completely in awe of how gorgeous the venue looked, they handled all our of decor and items provided with care, even shifting decors from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception in ways that truly brought tears to my eyes. It was more than we could've ever dreamed of! Karen was there the day of the ceremony, from directing the ceremony, prepping me to walk down the aisle, and being there for the bustling of my gown! She brought a calming presence that any bride will appreciate! Our guests RAVED about all of the food, how delicious everything was -- especially the Dim Sum station at cocktail hour! The staff was extremely attentive to my husband and I, we truly were never empty handed or bellies not full. They really made us feel like stars, especially our personal point person at the reception Andy. Lastly, we had a lot of out of towners who couldn't get over how convenient it was having the hotel right there, and that they didn't want to leave as the beds were so comfy! You will not regret having your event at the Desmond -- I would do our wedding day 10x exactly the way it is. The Desmond team made it an experience we will never forget or want to change!

The Desmond made our wedding day absolutely amazing and stress-free! Everything came together perfectly! The food was delicious and our guests had more than enough to eat all evening. The bartenders were wonderful, and the banquet manager Andy was a pleasure to work with. We worked with Kevin leading up to the wedding and it was the best experience. He went above and beyond and really made our vision a reality. We had such a large wedding but Kevin reassured us that it would fit and it did! We knew they would handle all the details on wedding day, and they led us seamlessly through our event with care and joy! We never had to worry for a moment, and we were able to enjoy everything! Multiple things went wrong with other vendors but Kevin and Andy showed up and I didn't even notice! They worked great with our vendors and handled cake delivery/floral delivery/band details/etc. with ease. Many of our guests remarked that this was the best wedding they had ever been too. The Desmond delivered the most amazing Wedding! The rehearsal dinner at Fork and Bottle was absolutely beautiful. The food, service and attention to every little detail was fantastic. The wedding reception in the Ballroom was just magical. The cocktail hour was beyond our expectations. The dinner was delicious and the service was exceptional. Kevin and staff were present and visible at all times. When the wedding was over, the guests remained and didn’t want to leave. The Desmond was very accommodating to guests with food allergies. We didn't have our reception at the Desmond due to our smaller wedding size but we did use this for guest rooms, our wedding after party and next day brunch. Everything was fantastic! Reasonable priced rooms, easy to book, bar open late for after party, plenty of space with cool outdoor area (and good food if you go for their late night snacks), delicious buffet brunch and great service all around. I would highly recommend using the Desmond for any of your wedding needs.

We didn't have our reception at the Desmond due to our smaller wedding size but we did use this for guest rooms, our wedding after party and next day brunch. Everything was fantastic! Reasonable priced rooms, easy to book, bar open late for after party, plenty of space with cool outdoor area (and good food if you go for their late night snacks), delicious buffet brunch and great service all around. I would highly recommend using the Desmond for any of your wedding needs.

I never stay in hotels in my area and this was the first time I had to. My daughter’s wedding was close by and the Desmond was recommended. What a great place! Loved the warm cookies at check in! The rooms were very nice and clean. We had the Bridal Brunch here for our out of town guests and it was really great! I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was very good! I highly recommend this hotel. I really felt better here after a very stressful weekend wedding. Very nice place.

I never stay in hotels in my area and this was the first time I had to. My daughter’s wedding was close by and the Desmond was recommended. What a great place! Loved the warm cookies at check in! The rooms were very nice and clean. We had the Bridal Brunch here for our out of town guests and it was really great! I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was very good! I highly recommend this hotel. I really felt better here after a very stressful weekend wedding. Very nice place.

We just had our wedding here this past weekend and I don’t even have the right words to describe how perfect everything was. It was truly a one-stop shop for everything. From the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner Friday, to the big day including the wonderful bridal suite for me and my girls, and finally that BRUNCH on Sunday – I couldn’t have asked for more. The staff are so attentive and accommodating. They allowed my entire bridal party to check in early on Saturday morning, answered any last minute questions or requests I had, and were just so friendly to all my guests. The entire planning process with Karen was a breeze, too. I really enjoyed working with her and she made it so easy. She even saved the day and helped when we couldn’t figure out my dress bustle. All my guests raved about the food (which was very important to me) and couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful everything went. I couldn’t be happier with how my special day turned out. I’m so thankful for all the staff at The Desmond for how wonderful they were all weekend, it truly made a difference!

We got married at a local parish church and The Desmond provided the perfect place for us to host our wedding reception. We initially worked with Kevin who helped get us set up and then we continued our planning process with Cynthia. Both people were quick with their responses and made it so easy to have any and all of our questions answered. As the reception got closer we met with Cynthia to go over all our details, confirm timing and preferences, as well as ensure that we had all we needed for a smooth evening. Cynthia also helped set up our food tasting and the food does not disappoint! Each option was so good that it made it difficult to pick. Another great aspect of the food tasting was that the head server, Carol, who served us at that time was also our lead server at our wedding. Having her familiar face at the reception was such a great touch! The Desmond truly thinks of all of the details to make both the bride, the groom, and families feel welcomed and cared for. The week of the wedding we met with Cynthia again to do a walk-through and she confirmed all our items were present and she was again confirming where we wanted things to go on tables outside the reception. The day of the wedding, Cynthia and the hotel manager came and checked to make sure we had what we needed. The staff set up every detail which truly allowed us to be present and not worry about a single thing on our wedding day. When we arrived late to our cocktail hour from our photo shoot, the staff brought us into the ballroom to give everything a look while my wife’s dress was bustled. We were starving and the staff brought us a sampler of all the appetizers so we wouldn’t be mobbed while trying to grab food. They then brought us more of the ones we wanted more of. Not only that, the staff also brought appetizers up to our room in case we didn’t get to try everything (and in case we were still hungry after the reception). The staff made sure we were taken care of the entire night of the wedding, including bringing drinks right to our table. We not only had our reception here but we also hosted an after party with late night snacks, a Mass in one of the meeting rooms on Sunday morning followed by a farewell breakfast right across the hall. To our surprise, Carol was with us again in the morning for our breakfast! Almost all of our guests also stayed at the hotel and commented how nice it was to have everything following the ceremony in one location. The whole weekend could not have gone any better, and The Desmond is a big reason why.

We got married at a local parish church and The Desmond provided the perfect place for us to host our wedding reception. We initially worked with Kevin who helped get us set up and then we continued our planning process with Cynthia. Both people were quick with their responses and made it so easy to have any and all of our questions answered. As the reception got closer we met with Cynthia to go over all our details, confirm timing and preferences, as well as ensure that we had all we needed for a smooth evening. Cynthia also helped set up our food tasting and the food does not disappoint! Each option was so good that it made it difficult to pick. Another great aspect of the food tasting was that the head server, Carol, who served us at that time was also our lead server at our wedding. Having her familiar face at the reception was such a great touch! The Desmond truly thinks of all of the details to make both the bride, the groom, and families feel welcomed and cared for. The week of the wedding we met with Cynthia again to do a walk-through and she confirmed all our items were present and she was again confirming where we wanted things to go on tables outside the reception. The day of the wedding, Cynthia and the hotel manager came and checked to make sure we had what we needed. We hired the Desmond Hotel to host our Rehearsal dinner, Ceremony, and Reception. Why all 3? Because they are excellent to work with, have reasonable fees, delicious food, and absolutely gorgeous spaces for each. And, in winter, we did not want our guests to have to travel. During COVID no less, and the Desmond was very accommodating and safe. We worked with Kevin Kessler and his team, can't say enough about how competent and fun they are to work with. We had a private dining room for the rehearsal dinner, and had a blast. The ceremony was in their atrium/conservatory, all glass enclosed, as the sun set, just beautiful. All pictures completed before the party, so once the ceremony ended we walked 20 feet to the cocktail hour, then another 20 feet into the ballroom/reception area. All close, all warm, all wonderfully spread out to alleviate COVID. And the food is to die for! Definitely get the DIM SUM/Sushi station, and the warm cookies with bread pudding and hot chocolate cart at the end. Amazing. Prices were very reasonable too. What a memory!

We had been working with the staff at The Desmond and planning our wedding there for over 2 years. We could not be more thankful at how knowledegable, flexible, supportive, patient, and helpful Karen, our planner, was in guiding us through the process. After waiting so long to celebrate our marriage with friends and family, The Desmond did not disappoint! They took care of every last detail and went above and beyond for us! Karen and her team set up our ceremony decor, our gifts table, they coordinated separate preparation rooms for both bride/bridesmaids and groom/groomsmen, they provided a private cocktail hour option for bridal party, and at the end of the night they collected belongings from the wedding (i.e. grooms tux jacket, brides shoes, cake topper, cards/gifts, all the florals, etc) and had everything waiting for us at checkout the next morning. We also elected to have a Sunday farewell brunch which was perfect as well. The space is wonderful, the staff are so friendly and truly committed to their couples, and we had the wedding of our dreams. A HUGE thank you to them!! We give our highest recommendation!

We chose The Desmond Malvern for our wedding weekend room block and could not have been more happy that we did. Meredith went above and beyond to help accommodate us and was so incredibly kind and patient - especially with answering all of my questions. Like many couples, we had to postpone our wedding from last year and it was as seamless as could be transferring everything right over to this year. There were no issues with anyone's reservations and the rooms were so clean and spacious.We also held our rehearsal dinner at The Conservatory which Cynthia helped coordinate. Not only was the room GORGEOUS, but the food was outstanding and the service was beyond compare. Andy and his team really were spectacular - friendly, so attentive, and genuinely took the time to talk with us and our guests. Cynthia made sure every single detail that we discussed would be there was there, and was truly a dream to work with!The communication from everyone at The Desmond was simply outstanding, which means a lot to a corona bride trying to contact all of the other vendors. I never doubted that my emails would be answered and after all of the time we spent communicating, I can honestly say that I will miss getting to speak with them now that it's over. Cannot recommend them enough!

We used The Desmond Hotel as our full service hotel for my daughter's wedding at French Creek Golf Club. They handled all of the transportation needs for us, as well as the room block, welcome and after parties, and a delicious brunch. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. They all work together like a family to make everything so easy for anyone hosting a wedding. Meredith was amazing with our room block and advice. She is so friendly and helpful. Cynthia did a fantastic job with all of our catering needs, and Steve handled all the transportation for us. This was a rescheduled Covid wedding and I was in contact with Meredith for almost two years and can't thank her enough for all of her assistance during that time. If you are able to book the Presidential Parlor, it was the perfect suite for the bride and her maids to get ready in on wedding day. With the adjoining guest rooms, it made a perfect family apartment for us during our 5 days in the hotel. I highly recommend The Desmond Hotel team and look forward to returning there any time I am in the area!

1000 stars. I cannot emphasize enough how fantastic the Desmond was. We were a covid couple who decided to put things off from summer, 2020 to summer, 2021. I have told everyone I know planning a wedding to look especially at the covid shutdown era reviews, because that will tell you which venues/vendors will work with you when you are hit with the unpredictable. We were able to seamlessly postpone our wedding without a fuss or any extra fees: the policy was if the Desmond could not give us the wedding of our dreams within 8 weeks of the wedding, we could postpone without any stipulations.Kevin was fantastic. Throughout this process, he was reassuring, calming, positive, and would take time to talk to us on the phone about any questions we had. For our final planning meetings, we were always with Kevin for at least 2 hours: he made sure every little detail was what we wanted and took the time to connect with us on a personal level.The wedding day itself was seamless. We both live out of town but were holding the wedding in my hometown, so we had a lot of out-of-town guests. So many people raved to us about how helpful the staff was for any question they had. The food was outstanding and the cocktail hour area perfect. We had almost 200 people & there was plenty of space to move around without feeling crowded. Andy, Carol, and all the staff for our wedding were just incredible and they were there to help us before we even could ask the question. They brought us into the ballroom to see it & take some pictures before all the guests came in, & had our bridal party line up for our first dance after walking in which was an awesome touch. We did a Pittsburgh cookie table which can be a lot of work and the Desmond was all for it-and it looked amazing!!! The Desmond staff set up and broke down everything for us; we didn’t have to worry about a thing. They accommodated our group in the Fork & Bottle restaurant for the after party food/drinks which the out of towners all appreciated!! So many people told us this was the best wedding they’ve ever been to.I could go on and on. The Desmond was fantastic. We wanted a hotel wedding and they more than delivered. It was the day of our dreams!!

We had a breakfast at the Desmond Malvern on the 1st floor Deck with Awning the morning after our daughter's wedding. It was the perfect ending to a perfect weekend. I worked with Shelly-Ann, who helped decide what type of menu to have for our guests (we used an a la carte breakfast menu) and provided the vouchers for the guests who attended. Vouchers were for guests at the Desmond Hotel and also for our friends and family who did not stay at the Desmond. She was so easy to work with and answered all my questions. The deck where breakfast was set up was wonderful! Nice breeze, there must be a waterfall close by, because there was the sound of flowing water beyond the deck ~ so relaxing! Our servers were friendly and very accommodating, and we were encouraged to stay as long as we wanted. I would recommend the Desmond to my family and friends, both for the cleanliness and adherence to COVID-19 standards, and to the excellent service they provided.

This hotel lost our wedding cake!! Yes, you read that right. We gave the hotel we stayed at during our wedding weekend our top tier of wedding cake to refrigerate on Saturday night after our wedding. We came back the next day to collect it and they had given it away to another couple. On top of that, we had to fight to get the plastic taken off the pull-out couch mattress and my mom’s room’s AC had to be re-set twice. Yes, it’s a nice hotel, but I’m not sure if I’d recommend it given what happened to us.

We used the Presidential Parlor for me and the bridesmaids to get ready morning-of, whereas my husband used one of the Executive Suites to get ready with his groomsmen. They are timely with responses, the venue is perfect, lodging is right there, the food is GREAT, and best of all, they basically set up everything for you. You bring your own DJ and photographer, although they can give you some recommendations. They do the food, but contract with a few bakers and a florists, so you don't need to hunt for one (we went with who was closest to us). Then everything else is taken care of. Everyone with whom we worked was very polite, gracious, and understanding of our time constraint (we had 6 weeks to plan), but it was everything we thought it would be and more!

Perfection! The Desmond was amazing with planning every aspect of our wedding (room block, ceremony, reception and farewell brunch). Karen was with us every step of the way and was always available to answer questions, provide information and set up meetings. She made our wedding planning so easy and fun! The entire staff at The Desmond was equally amazing too. We were impressed to see the staff handle multiple weddings and room blocks all in the same weekend and did so flawlessly. Kevin and Carole were our go-to people the day of the wedding and were always checking in not only with me and my husband, but also with our parents to make sure we all had what we needed. The front desk, housekeeping, and banquet staff were so accommodating, helpful, and excited to help us celebrate all weekend! All weekend, the entire Desmond staff was there to help us and our guests with whatever we needed and even things we didn’t even think we would need!Our guests were so impressed with everything from the venue, decorations, food , staff and accommodations. Most of our family travels from out of state, so having everything at The Desmond made their stays more relaxing and fun. The Desmond also provided a suite and shuttles for the bridal party to use during the day which was a great help.I would recommend The Desmond to any bride planning for their wedding! From the moment I found The Desmond, I knew it was a special place. As an out-of-state bride, I depended a lot on TheKnot reviews and found many outstanding reviews. Within hours of sending a message for information, I had heard from Karen, who would remain my point person for the next 18 months of wedding planning. Since all of our guests would be traveling for our wedding, it was very important to me that my guests were able to stay somewhere nice after a night of partying so finding a venue in a hotel was ideal. I had made a couple of trips to the area to visit venues, and fortunately, on that first trip, I did visit The Desmond. I was immediately taken back by the charm that the reception hall had. The cocktail area was beautiful and bright with many windows and would be ours for the night. The reception room itself was intimate and romantic with beautiful molding and chandeliers. Even better, The Desmond was undergoing renovations which to my happy surprise meant a new dance floor, beautiful and neutral carpeting, and a modern and updated bathroom. Aesthetically, I knew it would photograph well and I could picture myself dancing the night away there. Beyond that, the food was excellent! All of our guests left with full bellies. More than that, the pricing of our meals was also perfect. Finally, and this was a huge part of my huge satisfaction with The Desmond, Karen was such a blessing to work with. From the first moment we started speaking, she worked with my husband and I to make sure everything about our day was perfect. She made sure we had the desserts we wanted, the uplighting included, the meals to accommodate our friends and families with allergies and dietary restraints. She kept me updated with how many rooms were taken in our room blocks. She made sure that my dad and husband had their favorite beers. She worked with my parents to arrange breakfast the next morning for our many guests who stayed overnight. She met with us many times in the months leading up to the wedding and was always available to chat and was very prompt with emails. Even though she wasn't scheduled to be at work late on the Saturday we got married, she made sure to be there to see my husband and I just before we walked into the reception and to wish us well. We cannot say enough great things about The Desmond and would absolutely recommend paying them a visit if you're looking for venues in the area! Originally I had just booked my hotel block here for a reception down the road. My other venue canceled on me less than 60 days before the wedding! 58 days to be excact and tried to withhold my deposit. I had to find a new venue ASAP and I saw online that the Desmond had the space available on our date. I called obviously distressed (like an hour or two after I found out about my original venue) and they took such amazing care of me. They immediately told me not to worry, they'd make things work. We worked with Kevin and he was absolutely fantastic. Even though we had a condensed time frame to get things set up, we did not feel we missed out on anything with him. Everything was fabulous there from the front desk staff, the food, and the service. The pricing was very reasonable as well, and Kevin worked with us to make sure we could get the best value possible as he knew we lost some money with the other venue that cancelled on us. The property is very nice, and there are a lot of options for places to have your ceremony and reception. We had our ceremony in the Conservatory, the cocktail hour in the lobby area next to it, and our reception in the ballroom. The hotel comes and collects the card box after cocktail hour and puts it in a locked safe for safe keeping. As part of your wedding package, you get a free night stay on your anniversary so my husband and I will be going back next week and are very excited. They also order the wedding cake from Masters in West Chester which is one of the best bakeries in town (included in the food package). Plus Masters as part of the package will give you a free small cake on your anniversary to celebrate (upgradable to your exact wedding flavors and frosting for $15). It's a great place to stay too, and their onsite resturant is delicious. The front desk agents always greeted us and offered warm chocolate chip cookies to us and all our guests (even when my husband and I were just going to discuss plans). Can't say enough good things about this venue!

The Desmond Staff was outstanding for our wedding on June 24. They took care of any requests we had and constantly checked in on us throughout the reception to make sure we were satisfied. The ballroom looked spectacular, and easily accommodated over 150 people comfortably. The food was outstanding too. I highly recommend this venue for anyone.

The Desmond was the perfect location for our wedding - quaint hotel with a beautiful ballroom and conservatory that was perfect for our cocktail hour. The entire staff at The Desmond was such a pleasure to work with, and they were all so kind and helpful when accommodating all of our guests. The wedding coordinator, Karen Eubanks, and her crew were hands down amazing! Karen was so helpful and so easy to work with; she made sure that everything ran smoothly, and gave us the best recommendations for some of our vendors. She also made sure that all our decorations for the cocktail hour and reception looked exactly the way we wanted; she executed on our vision perfectly! And the food...sooo delicious! People still tell us how good the food was (short ribs were a hit)! Thank you to The Desmond for helping make our day so special and perfect! We highly recommend this venue.

We had our reception at The Desmond this past weekend, and it was amazing. From day one of planning, Karen Eubanks went above and beyond to walk us through the process, answer my myriad random questions, and always maintained a high level of patience, professionalism, and enthusiasm. The venue was a great value, with so much included (food, drink, cake, flowers, breakfast, wedding suite). It was also very convenient, since more than 90% of our guests were traveling from out of state, and they could stay overnight. Andy, the Banquet Manager, ensured that all our needs were met throughout the night of the wedding, and everything went off without a hitch. All of our guests raved about the stunning décor, the delicious food, and the outstanding service. Truly, it was a perfect day, and I would recommend The Desmond to anyone who wants an amazing wedding day!

Our wedding guests were from all over, so almost everyone stayed at the Desmond. They helped us coordinate a welcome event on Friday night, an after party on the patio the night of the wedding, and a brunch following the wedding. Samantha was great to work with, and everything ran very smoothly even when we had to change locations for one event at the last minute because of rain. They also helped us coordinate the transportation for everyone to the wedding - the only complaint for that was that the buses were a little early to the wedding. Overall, the Desmond and Samantha were fantastic.

Do yourself a favor... if you're thinking about booking The Desmond for your wedding, do it NOW. They were phenomenal at every single step of the process. It happened to be our first venue tour, and Kevin really wowed us. We visited a few other places to make sure we were certain, but every other place paled in comparison to The Desmond. Everything from the food to the service to the team were top notch, and they take care of so many details for you. We had centerpieces, uplighting, the cake (and they even add a chocolate covered strawberry to the plate!), linens, table settings, honeymoon suite included in our package. They also made sure we had clear expectations and the contract and plan outline were intricate. You name it... we had nothing to worry about. Kevin (THE MAN), Alyssa, the banquet managers Andy and Kevin, our server Carol, and everyone in between gave us nothing but the best. The food was delicious, and during our tasting, we talked with Kevin for more than an hour. He made us feel truly welcome. We heard rave reviews from every single one of our guests about how The Desmond went above and beyond, from the ceremony, which was held in the Conservatory, to the reception, which was held in the grand ballroom. One small example... my aunt has a dietary restriction and can't have gluten. We didn't know this in advance, so when she didn't eat her crab cake, the server asked what the problem was, and when she told them, they brought back lump crab meat so she could still enjoy her meal. WHAT?! WHO EVEN DOES THAT?! They also worked with us to get all of our out-of-town guests (the majority of our headcount) rooms, even though the hotel was absolutely packed that week/weekend.Phenomenal all around, and would get married here over and over and over again. You should seriously just pick this venue and thank us later. We love every. single. aspect. of The Desmond and will be visiting for dinner and happy hour soon. :)

I was married at the Phoenixville Foundry and initially when I began my search for our room block, I wanted a hotel as close as possible to the venue. After visiting the Desmond, I realized those extra few minutes of travel time didn't matter at all. They were very accommodating and handled our large group (we had 62 rooms booked!) with ease and everyone said they had a great stay. Their rate was very reasonable as well. Guests said it was one of the best values they ever had while staying on a hotel room block rate. Also offering to pick guests up for free at the Paoli train station was also super helpful as well as accommodating so many early check-ins. They also coordinated our shuttles for no extra charge which was a huge help so I did not have to deal with the vendor. We also hosted our after party on the back deck which was great and a day-after brunch in the garden room. Both events went so smoothly! They were extremely responsive. I was probably the most hands-on bride that didn't even host her actual wedding at the Desmond, but they really were phenomenal to work with.

She had answers to every question and was an immense help along the way.The day of banquet manager was Kevin. He knew exactly what our vision was and made sure it happened. He kept us and our party on time and on task, but also made sure we had some moments to enjoy.They food simply put was spectacular. We did stations instead of plated dinner and would highly recommend this. The sirloin and pork loin were excellent, and the short rib ravioli's were a show stopper.The staff was excellent as well. All our guests had a great time.Price was very reasonable as well. I felt like we got great value for what we paid.

We had our rehearsal dinner on Friday night and used the Desmond shuttles to go to and from our rehearsal venue and then had an open bar and light snacks after the rehearsal at the Desmond on the back deck, everything was beautiful and no issues. Saturday the bride and groom got ready in separate suites at the hotel and the staff was so accommodating and the rooms were the perfect size for a medium size bridal party to get ready in. I worked directly with the Desmond to organize shuttles for our bridal party and the wedding guests from the hotel to the wedding venue, they found vendors that were extremely reasonable. Sunday morning we hosted a buffet brunch for our guests in the garden room and the staff decorated the room so beautifully and the food was great quality!

Our experience at the Desmond was wonderful. We had our guests stay there for our wedding on May 20th and could not be happier. The staff was so accomodating. They provided shuttles to and from our venue and the bridal suite was amazing! The rooms are very nice and give you a homey feel. The restaurants onsite were great and a fun place to go after the wedding! Overall, we would definitely recommend having your guests stay here if you are getting married in the general area! Our experience at the Desmond was wonderful. We had our guests stay there for our wedding on May 20th and could not be happier. The staff was so accomodating. They provided shuttles to and from our venue and the bridal suite was amazing! The rooms are very nice and give you a homey feel. The restaurants onsite were great and a fun place to go after the wedding! Overall, we would definitely recommend having your guests stay here if you are getting married in the general area! We also were able to \"peek\" at a few wedding receptions as they were being set up; this was great, because it allowed us to see what the space looks like for a wedding reception! The staff were busy setting up, but when they saw us looking around, they asked if we had any questions. That really showed us how attentive and customer-service oriented they all were! The space is absolutely beautiful and we received many compliments on the service and the food. One of the best parts is that this venue is a hotel, so you and your guests can \"take the elevator home!\" My parents hosted a breakfast at The Desmond the next morning for our out of town guests, and really raved about it (my husband and I were already on our way to our honeymoon). The Desmond Staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we wanted. All of our guests raved about the food, staff, and the hotel! We are still hearing from our guest months later about how great everything was!It was great being able to do everything in one location, my girls and I got ready in the presidential parlor and my groom got ready in our suite for that evening. The Desmond Staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we wanted. All of our guests raved about the food, staff, and the hotel! We are still hearing from our guest months later about how great everything was!It was great being able to do everything in one location, my girls and I got ready in the presidential parlor and my groom got ready in our suite for that evening. Our wedding reception at the Desmond was everything we dreamed of and more! Our wedding consultant Karen was a complete pro and thought of absolutely EVERYTHING! The menu was extensive and there were so many menu options and price points - truly something for everyone and every budget. Our centerpieces were included with our package from Blue Moon Florist and were spectacular, as well as our cake from the Master's Baker! The Desmond also had a shuttle for all of our out of town family to take to the wedding ceremony at the church the day of the wedding. The cocktail hour was superb! Our photographer had us done in time so we got to enjoy time mingling with our guests in the stunning conservatory with a large assortment of passed appetizers as well as stations. The staff was extremely attentive, making sure we didn't have to worry about food or drinks all night. They also took care of our VIP tables which was extremely helpful with my elderly grandparents. The accommodations in the bridal suite were gorgeous - when we got to our room we had cake slices and a bottle of champagne waiting for us along with all of our gifts! They really take care of you. The Desmond truly makes you and your husband/wife feel extremely special and pampered. We cannot say enough good things about this venue! BOOK IT!

Let me start by saying I would recommend The Desmond to everyone! We picked it ultimately due to it's close proximity to our chapel, the fact that guests could walk to their rooms at the end of the night, which was very important to us since most people were from out of town, and the fact that they would be accommodating to the possibility of military orders changing at the last minute.\r\rThey provided us with a list of vendors they had worked with before and recommended, which was so helpful! We ended up using quite a few of them and they were all awesome. It was also nice that the flowers and cake were included in with the wedding package, two less things to worry about paying for! I also ended up going to a bridal show at The Desmond, which was additionally helpful for finding some other vendors. Not sure if they do it every year, but if you are planning on having your wedding there I would recommend it!\r\rWe worked with Karen who was so helpful from day 1 all the way through to our wedding day! She was very accommodating to our limited availability to meet due to living several hours away. She was around the entire weekend of our wedding to collect all our decorations and favors to set up and make sure everything ran smoothly.\r\rThere was a set day for the food tasting, but we were unfortunately unable to make it due to work schedules so they set up a personal food tasting for us. The catering manager was very helpful and talked us through all our options, and the food was all amazing!!\r\rWe had a smaller wedding, but since we had it on a Saturday, we had a minimum amount (I think $18000) that we had to pay regardless, so I would look out for that if you are also planning on a smaller wedding. We didn't quite meet that amount and just ended up upgrading the bar so everything worked out.\r\rThe day of they provided me and the bridesmaids with a room to get ready in, so the salon came right to us, which definitely helped with timing! We later used that room to have a private cocktail hour with just the bridal party, and it was super nice to spend some time relaxing with them before the reception.\r\rIf I haven't mentioned it already, all their food was amazing! From the dinner to the catered snacks we had at Fox and Hound to the incredible breakfast buffet in The Hunt Club the next morning, I would definitely not mind eating there again! Despite vegetarian options not being on the original list of food options, they did accommodate our vegetarian guests with what sounded like a ton of delicious pasta!\r\rMost importantly, it was awesome having everything in one spot, and I would think way less stressful. Our honeymoon suite was spacious and gorgeous. While our reception was going on they brought all our gifts and anything else we didn't need back to our room for us and they held onto our decorations at the front desk overnight. They left us some extra treats in the room too :) I didn't get much time to eat my dinner during the reception but they warmed it up for me afterwards and brought it over to the bar in the lobby where we were having our afterparty.\r\rBottom line, a perfect place to have your wedding! :)

The Desmond Hotel made our wedding day absolutely perfect! Throughout the planning process, any time I had a question, they were immediately answered by Kevin, Andy or Karen. I had absolutely no worries placing my wedding in their hands. They knew what we wanted and took care of the rest, even anticipating somethings before we knew we needed/wanted them. They provided a bridal suite for my girls and I to get ready. They then turned over the room for the bridal party to enjoy apps and beverages before we went into cocktail hour. The day of Karen made sure the timeline went as planned. We had an outdoor ceremony with rain looming, so timing was necessary. Afterwards, Karen made sure to get me from cocktail hour and get the reception started right away. She was amazing. My husband and I had our own waitress the night of and it was fabulous. I never had to ask for anything! During the reception, Andy was our man. He was there every step of the way. He knew I wanted to keep the party moving and people dancing all night and he made sure to keep it that way. The staff at the Desmond is beyond any other I have encountered. They love their jobs and it shows. The food was amazing, from the cocktail appetizers, to the reception meals, to the decadent dessert bar...it was impeccable. My guests are STILL talking about the food. I can't imagine having my wedding anywhere else.

I can't speak highly enough about the quality of my wedding reception at The Desmond Hotel. I have been a guest at Desmond weddings and occasionally dine in their restaurant, so I knew their service is excellent and their food is spectacular prior to booking our wedding reception. Our event coordinator, Karen, answered all of my questions and catered to all of my needs throughout the planning process. It truly was a pleasure working with her. The event itself progressed seamlessly and we were well taken care of the entire day: from a getting ready suite to the complimentary overnight newlywed suite. We have received dozens of remarkable comments from our guests regarding all aspects of the wedding reception. You will not be disappointed! We also appreciated that their package included the chair covers, wedding cake and centerpieces (which are easily upgraded). Other reception enhancements (napkin color, chair sashes) and the dessert upgrade were very reasonable, as well. There are zero complaints here! Thank you!

Planning a wedding can be an overwhelming task, but we knew we were in good hands and that made the process much easier. The venue itself is both gorgeous and spacious. We had 210 guests and it never felt crowded. The food was wonderful, the banquet service was incredible, and the staff did a great job of keeping things moving. Andy made sure everything flowed smoothly on the day of the wedding and kept track of every little detail for us. We never worried about a thing and he communicated with the band and our photographer throughout the night. We were glad we made the choice to have the ceremony in the ballroom. It was really lovely. The guests stayed at the hotel, which made everything even easier, and we had an after party at the pub. If you're looking for an outstanding venue, I highly recommend checking out The Desmond. My husband and I decided to have our wedding reception at The Desmond back in August. The catch? We were planning our wedding all the way from Georgia. We decided that we wanted to have a 1920's themed wedding, and Karen (the wedding planner at the Desmond) made that happen! At times I thought that some of our requests sounded crazy, yet she was so sweet and got us any and all information we could use. The food was spectacular, as were the servers. The staff at the Desmond made it so easy to plan our big day from out of state. We also felt comfortable referring our guests to \"take the elevator home\" the night of our wedding because of the awesome rooms. They took care of everything! They made the wedding process as simple as possible beforehand and the day-of was a breeze. They handled set up perfectly and they packed everything back up for us at the end of the night and we picked it up in the morning. I couldn't have asked for more!

The Desmond gave us our dream wedding. From our first interaction with the staff to our actual wedding day, everything was perfect. I would give this vendor my absolute highest recommendation. \r\rHighlights: \r- Food. Was. DELICIOUS. (The chef even went above and beyond and created a special Cincinnati chili appetizer for us.)\r\r- Karen Eubanks was our wedding planner/day-to-day contact. An absolute dream to work with, she kept everything so well organized, we felt completely comfortable in her hands and confident in her expertise. She went above-and-beyond, coming in on her day off to accommodate my visit from out-of-town and even making perfect suggestions for special touches to hors d’oeuvres, décor, etc. \r\r- Andy Davidson was our Banquet Manager, the day-of-the-wedding coordinator. He was phenomenal. We literally didn’t have to think about a thing; he so smoothly coordinated everything that day. He was practically invisible as he coordinated all of the little details for our reception, then he would show up exactly on time to coach us through the next event (bouquet toss, cake cutting, first dance, etc.). We would have been lost without him. \r\r- Everyone at The Desmond really went above and beyond to make things special for us, and they responded to every question, call, and email as if we were their top priority.\r\r- Guests were so impressed with the venue and food that my parents actually received thank you notes telling them it was the best wedding they had ever been to. \r\r- They have a beautiful conservatory/glassed-in area that makes the perfect spot for a cocktail hour.\r\r- The reception hall itself was perfectly arranged to our exact specifications, and the staff put a lot of work and effort into accommodating all of our special requests (including food stations instead of a sit-down dinner).\r\r- We had an afternoon reception, so we also did an after-party on the outdoor deck behind The Desmond. The same team helped organize this, and it was as perfect as the reception was. Incredible attention to detail (the team moved all of our centerpieces from the reception out to the deck before after party had started without us even thinking to ask), and perfect flow of food and drinks.\r\r- We also used the Desmond shuttles to help transport the bridal party and guests. Worked with Frank Kaczmarski on this, and he was extremely professional and accommodating – even offering to rent additional shuttles when another bus we had booked fell through at the last minute.\r\r- Every member of the staff that we dealt with, from the people mentioned above to the people at the front desk, in reservations, servers at the reception, after-party, and breakfast were top-notch. We could not have asked for a better experience.\r

We could not have had a more perfect wedding! The staff at the Desmond were more than accommodating. We were very DIY and the staff was very helpful in assembling everything in the ballroom for the event. Every time we had any question big or small Kevin Kessler was more than willing to meet with us and even preordered linens in so we could see them in the ballroom and decide what we wanted. With a lot of picky eaters in attendance, the staff customized the menu with a few pub style hors d'oeuvres for our cocktail hour. We have received nothing but rave reviews from our guests about the staff, food and experience. The day of the staff was extremely helpful and attentive especially Carol, Andy, Kevin Davidson, Karen, and Moreen. The day flowed very well, we especially appreciated the staff giving the parents a \"sneak peak\" of the ballroom. You truly can not get a better deal in the area!!\r\rThe hotel was very friendly and accommodating. After the reception most people remained at the hotel and spent the remainder of the evening in the Fox and Hound Pub inside the hotel and the staff there was warm and friendly. All the guests who stayed the night at the hotel had an enjoyable experience. We can not wait to go back for our first anniversary!

I had used them for a block of rooms for my guests to stay in. Needless to say, my guests had no problems with them, but as a bride I did!\r\rFirst, when my husband and I took a tour they showed us the executive suite which had a BEAUTIFUL balcony that connected the living area to the sleeping area. Needless to say, we booked that, only to find out when I checked in Friday night they placed us on the first floor which obviously doesn't have a balcony (there went all my get ready shots on a balcony out the window, pun intended). When I went back to the front desk (the guy was rude) to question this, they didn't have another comparable suite available, so they down graded me to a king that did have a balcony. The room was a NIGHTMARE! There were cob webs in the corners, dust bunnies under the desk and nightstand, broken dresser/tv stand, water stains on the ceiling, stains on the canopy bed, piss stains around the toilet, mold in the shower, etc... I didn't want to be a complete pain so I let it go that night and went down to the desk in the morning.\r\rThe lady that time was kind enough to transfer me back to the original suite I wanted on the 4th floor with a balcony, but couldn't do so until later that evening since it was already in use. They didn't charge me any extra for that room, which was nice I suppose... but it obviously wasn't already booked so who else would have used it? In all reality, I don't think I should have paid for the first night since it was a complete disaster and as a bride, they made my overall day more complicated... not being able to get ready in a dirty room, had to reschedule my morning of the night before, and then had to re-check in to my room in my wedding dress after my wedding!
