The Dominion Country Club
The Dominion Country Club provides an elegant setting throughout all the seasons. The outdoor venue offers majestic live oaks and hills of green, accented by a beautiful lake and a flowing fountain that sets the tone for a tranquil outdoor ceremony. Wedding guests sit on three levels of white-cushioned seats to ensure unobstructed views of the ceremony near a blooming flower bed alongside the Cantera-stone fountain. The sitting room features expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and Cantera-stone columns that encircle the dance floor beneath an octagonal dome. The Renaissance-style architecture carries over to the more-intimate wine room, where a magnificent chandelier hangs within a domed ceiling with a painted backdrop of sky inspired by Michelangelo's work. An expansive 2000-square-foot dance floor and a hand-carved bar and atrium is available for larger weddings. We hosted our wedding and reception at the Dominion earlier this year, and it is a truly beautiful and incredible venue! I am a romantic, and the Dominion's indoor architecture and outdoor scenery offer the perfect backdrop for an unforgettably beautiful night. My parents had their reception here over 20 years ago, so it was particularly special for my husband and I to be able to celebrate our wedding here. We were planning from out of state, but the team at the Dominion was very accommodating and coordinated important site visits/tastings/etc on weekends when I was in town. There were some changes in the Special Events Coordinator from the time we initially booked to hosted our wedding, but Monica was our final point-of-contact, and we LOVED working with her. She has a lovely personality, and she made sure all details were exactly as we wanted. The food was delicious, and the bar staff did an excellent job replicating one of our favorite drinks for our signature cocktail. Also, another special shoutout to Monica and her team for going above and beyond to ensure the dance floor was perfect for us. My husband and I did a Latin first dance, and we were particularly nervous about the floor being slick enough for our various turns. Monica was so patient dealing with my anxious self and reassured me repeatedly that the floor would be clean and slick for our big day - all I can say is I had no reason to worry, Monica and her team made sure the floor was PERFECT. Everyone had an incredible time, and we would highly recommend the Dominion to others looking to host a special event!!

We chose The Dominion Country Club as our wedding venue because of the beautiful outdoor scenery, as well as the indoor decor which is always beautifully decorated. We toured other venues, but The Dominion offered far better value for money, such as more space for our guests and provided excellent catering at the venue. My husband and I were very grateful for the wedding coordinator there (Monica) she was so helpful during our planning process and she was always available to meet in person if we needed to discuss further details about our wedding. Monica made sure everything went smoothly on our wedding day and we are so appreciative of that. We had our wedding reception at The Dominion many years ago and hosted an enchanting wedding & reception for our daughter and her husband. The venue was romantic and beautiful, with both indoor and outdoor accommodations. The dining and cocktail / bar and dance areas are separate and allowed our guests to pick and choose where they wanted to celebrate. The cuisine and wine / liquor selections were superb. The staff was excellent; and a special shout out to Monica Ramirez, the Dominion reception coordinator. Simply said, this is the place to enjoy a magical evening.

We did a lot of research for a venue for our wedding, but we aren't really a barn or ranch wedding couple, which is pretty much the most common available venues here in San Antonio. When we found The Dominion Country Club and scheduled a tour of the venue, we knew instantly that it was going to be the place we would choose.With only five months to plan, we wanted somewhere that was all-inclusive. Monica was our coordinator and she was absolutely amazing. Very prompt with answering any questions we had and was totally on top of everything until the end of the night on the day of the wedding! We couldn't have asked for a better team to be working with. They made sure everything ran smoothly on our big day.All of our guests were raving about the how gorgeous the venue was and how delicious all of the food was (and of course the open bar!). Husband and I are still thinking about the risotto from our dinner! The venue was so accommodating with our requests for special photos we wanted to take, which was very important to us.The day-of we were provided with bridal and groom suites to get ready and it was an overall relaxing experience to be on-site with everything available to us. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding. We had so much fun and we can't wait to get our photos back from our photographer to relive the night over again!

Originally, we chose the Dominion because husband grew up in the Dominion and had the fondest memories of being here. His father still lives there and is a member, but you do not have to be a member to have an event here (however, there is a bit of a discount for members). It was within our budget for a venue and has the catering and bar on site. The Dominion does have a Food and Beverage minimum that changes depending on the month, so something to keep in mind! The Dominion is elegant, classy, and just beautiful, exactly the Taylor Swift âLove Storyâ vibes that I was looking for (think romantic, marble, columns, beautifully etched glass, large windows showing the gorgeous views). We had our Ceremony at the Fountain Terrace, with the most incredible fountain and pond views as the backdrop for our vows. We reserved half of the Club for our Reception (Gourmet Room (for our buffet), Sitting Room (octagonal shaped room for dinner with wooden dance floor in the very center), Wine Room (cake and desserts area), and the Piano Lounge (sitting area with the bar). We had 80 guests at the wedding which allowed for room for a 12-top head table and 7 large round tables that seat 8-10 comfortably. With the Sitting Room, the dance floor is right in the center of the octagonal shaped room and there is not a bad seat in the room! We viewed other venues that had half the guests on one side of the room, dance floor in the middle of the room, and the other half of the guests on the opposite side of the room. We did not want people to feel separated at all, we wanted it to feel like everybody was at the best table with the best view (no guests stuck off in a corner). They have amazing getting ready areas, too. The Bridal Suite is the âWomenâs 19th Holeâ which is a large private room with a long table and chairs, a couch, comfy chairs, a tv, floor to ceiling windows and a large mirror. There is a door that leads to the Womenâs Locker Room and the private dressing area with floor to ceiling mirrors, lockers and space for hair and makeup to set up. We were able to set up in-room catering- a brunch buffet and mimosa bar for breakfast and tea sandwiches and fresh fruit for a light lunch. The men were on the opposite side of the club in the Board Room and the Piano Lounge. The Board Room is a high-end room with gorgeous bookcases and a stately conference table with comfy chairs. We set up some cocktail shrimp for their arrival and they were able to order off of the Grillâs menu for lunch and the bar for drinks, with a private server. The Day of Coordinator, Allison, was such a huge help! She was very insightful, knowledgeable, and professional. She would respond in a very timely manner, no matter how silly my questions were. She helped us with everything from choosing linens, deciding a general timeline, and recommendations for vendors. I was SO calm the day of the wedding (my biggest goal) and I have no doubt that a HUGE part of it was because of Allison. She spent time to learn my vision and made sure everything was set up where it needed to be. An absolute gem. THE FOOD. Oh my goodness. There were so many options and the availability to customize anything. We went with a buffet style rather than a seated menu because we were able to have more options for the menu and I did not have to ask guests if they wanted chicken or beef beforehand. This venue was EVERYTHING and so much more than we could ever ask for on our special day.

Hands down the best wedding venue in San Antonio! If you're looking for something timeless and romantic this venue is definitely a winner! Our guest were blown away with how beautiful the entire venue looked, from the scenery of the outdoor reception by the fountain to the food, and reception area it was all so beautiful. Crazy enough this was the last venue we toured and instantly fell in love! Allison and Jennifer were so attentive and made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. We were worried about the food being cold since we had a decent size party but everything exceeded our expectations and was delicious! The staff members were fantastic and many of our guest really enjoyed them! Thank you again Allison and your team for making our day unforgettable!

Hands down the best wedding venue in San Antonio! If you're looking for something timeless and romantic this venue is definitely a winner! Our guest were blown away with how beautiful the entire venue looked, from the scenery of the outdoor reception by the fountain to the food, and reception area it was all so beautiful. Crazy enough this was the last venue we toured and instantly fell in love! Allison and Jennifer were so attentive and made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. We were worried about the food being cold since we had a decent size party but everything exceeded our expectations and was delicious! The staff members were fantastic and many of our guest really enjoyed them! Thank you again Allison and your team for making our day unforgettable!

We could not have picked a better place for our wedding!!!! Jennifer, Allison, and Franck were AMAZING. They always made time for me, answered my 7,001 questions quickly and without judgement. Everything was so organized and GORGEOUS!!! We had a little trouble uploading a personal video on my laptop. Franck came in and saved the day and grabbed his personal laptop so that we could show the video. So so so so thankful to the Dominion Country Club for making my wedding day the best day of the year!

Making the decision to postpone our wedding was difficult but they were very accommodating and made it so easy for us! I cannot recommended them enough everything was beautiful, due to the weather we had to move our ceremony inside and it was seamless! The venue, the food, the staff was so great to us. The Dominion Country Club went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect! In fact, they made the entire wedding process perfect every step of the way. We worked with Allison and Jennifer to plan our day and they truly made this experience all about us, going the extra mile to ensure all of our dreams came true. We had planned an outdoor ceremony and then had a rainy day wedding. Allison and her team made the transition to an indoor ceremony so smooth, and the ceremony space turned out gorgeous! The food was some of the best we have ever had! We had the herb roasted chicken with risotto and green beans...still fantasizing about this meal!! The space itself is also absolutely stunning!! We love the warm lighting, the elegance of the venue, and how gorgeous the golfing space was as a backdrop for our photos. All of our guests said it was the most gorgeous wedding venue they've ever been to! We are so incredibly glad we had our wedding at the Dominion Country Club!!!

We worked with Allison and Jennifer to plan our day and they truly made this experience all about us, going the extra mile to ensure all of our dreams came true. We had planned an outdoor ceremony and then had a rainy day wedding. Allison and her team made the transition to an indoor ceremony so smooth, and the ceremony space turned out gorgeous! The food was some of the best we have ever had! We had the herb roasted chicken with risotto and green beans...still fantasizing about this meal!! The space itself is also absolutely stunning!! We love the warm lighting, the elegance of the venue, and how gorgeous the golfing space was as a backdrop for our photos. All of our guests said it was the most gorgeous wedding venue they've ever been to! We are so incredibly glad we had our wedding at the Dominion Country Club!!!

We had waitress for just the brides room to help with anything we needed and Jennifer took care of everything for the ceremony and reception. I brought my decorations and she set everything up, I didnât have to worry about a thing! I was able to drop everything off at the rehearsal which also went flawlessly. The food was amazing and we had several options to choose from at the tasting. This venue truly simplifies the whole experience and takes so many stresses off. They take care of linens (with hundreds of choices) food, alcohol and all day-of coordination (but will also help as much as you need throughout the process). I was able to fully enjoy my wedding day with my family and friends and it was absolutely perfect! The venue is classically beautiful and timeless.

The food was superb and all our guests were raving about it. It was important to us to have great quality food for our guests, and they came through for us. Normal wedding catering cannot compare. Of course, there were a few hiccups along the way, but they did a wonderful job of smoothing those out. We would definitely book again with them.

The venue is amazing, and decorated wonderfully during Christmas time I barely had to add decorations to my wedding. Food was delicious at the tasting, however it was below expectations for our 90 guests during the seated dinner reception. Several times I had to send multiple emails/voicemails with questions, even after I waited over 7 business days for a response. Even now a week after our wedding we still donât have the balance for our drink tab. So itâs a bit disappointing considering how beautiful the venue is. She wasnât even there during the rehearsal- super stressful trying to organize it myself with no help. She was also nowhere to be found on day of wedding until round 3pm for a 5pm wedding. I am so glad that we chose to get married at the Dominion Country Club. Everyone there provided great customer service and the location is absolutely beautiful. At first I worked with Rachel, she was very helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process and she met with me multiple times before the wedding. Rachael, the Dominion Catering Director, is a god send and has been so helpful from the start. When we first booked the Dominion Country Club for our reception, Darlene was the catering director at the time. Darlene was a terror to work with, disorganized, and misinformed us about several things from the contract to payment plans. But, when Rachael took the helm everything just seemed to flow so much better, and she made wedding planning a breeze. \r\rThe day of our wedding started off a disaster. Our florist and then day of wedding coordinator dropped the ball. She not only did not deliver my bouquet and the rest of the ceremony flowers, but she had a mental breakdown right before the reception. Even with this major issue, Rachael stepped right in and picked up where our day of coordinator failed. Rachael was organized the entire time, pleasant, and reassured us our wedding was going to be spectacular. The chef that prepared the food went above and beyond our expectations. The steak and shrimp were cooked to perfection. Most of our guest even stated that this was the best wedding food they have ever eaten. Our personal host and server, Pete, did a phenomenal job. He served all of our requests and needs, and he did it all with a smile. I can say the same for the rest of the Dominion staff. The Dominion Country Club itself is well manicured, and the outdoor terrace was beautiful for our cocktail hour. \r\rSo, if you are looking for a great venue to host your wedding or reception, look nowhere else but the Dominion Country Club. It is by far an affordable option, a beautiful setting, and Rachael will give you the peace of mind that your wedding will be amazing.\r\r\r

We recently had our wedding reception at the Dominion Country Club and we could not have asked for a better wedding reception. Rachael, the Dominion Catering Director, is a god send and has been so helpful from the start. When we first booked the Dominion Country Club for our reception, Darlene was the catering director at the time. Darlene was a terror to work with, disorganized, and misinformed us about several things from the contract to payment plans. But, when Rachael took the helm everything just seemed to flow so much better, and she made wedding planning a breeze. \r\rThe day of our wedding started off a disaster. Our florist and then day of wedding coordinator dropped the ball.
