A Scenic Space for Milestone Celebrations
The Elms of Coosada is a spacious estate wedding venue in Coosada, AL. The property can be found just 15 minutes away from downtown Montgomery. Couples can celebrate their big day against the backdrop of a Greek revival mansion. Covered outdoor spaces allow for events surrounded by nature. The road leading up to this 19th-century estate is lined with trees covered in Spanish moss. The main house has undergone careful renovations to bring it back up to scratch. The property’s exterior features a symmetrical balcony and porch, framed by two-story columns. Horizontal white paneling and a low-pitched roof define the building. Behind the house, large green lawns offer plenty of space to celebrate. The happy couple can hold a memorable reception under the cover of a pavilion. Acres of woodlands offer an organic backdrop to each milestone event. This vast wooden pavilion blends in with the natural environment. A dark wooden finish complements the surrounding trees and string lighting provides a soft glow. Long curtains let couples decide just how intimate they want the celebrations to be. There is room for 200 guests at the venue. Couples can plan an elaborate wedding weekend at The Elms of Coosada. They will have access to the property for two full days. This leaves plenty of time for setting up and letting loose. The venue staff offers a number of rental items for a seamless celebration. There is a choice of wedding arches available, and 150 dark wood padded chairs are provided. Round banquet tables and buffet stations can be arranged for the reception. Additionally, the team provides floor-length linens, sound equipment, and outdoor heating. There are also plenty of facilities for outside vendors. A large kitchen is fully equipped for the chosen caterer. Loved ones should be sure to pack their dancing shoes. There is plenty of room for live music and a dance floor. Experienced venue managers will be on hand to help things run smoothly. Staff will arrange the setup and cleanup of all venue items. Dressing rooms for the wedding party are located in the main house. There are three large rooms for the bride and bridesmaids, and a separate rooms for the groom and his men. Couples will also find a spacious parlor, kitchen, dining room, and more. Soon-to-be-weds are invited to host their rehearsal dinner on Friday evening. The mansion features intimate indoor dining spaces as well.

The Elms was an amazing venue! We wanted to have our wedding outside under the beautiful trees, but it was rainy and cold on our wedding day. The staff saved the day with their quick planning and set up! Janet (the owner) worked with me the day before to come up with a rain plan and they executed it beautifully. We had the ceremony under the pavilion and the staff switched the layout to reception mode very quickly.They also offer in-house event coordinators to keep your big day stress free. Janet is very helpful in recommending local vendors, if you do not already have vendors chosen. I also liked that I was welcome to visit The Elms at any time if another bride was not there. The staff is very welcoming and will help in any way that they can.

The Elms is a PERFECT wedding venue!! The home is absolutely beautiful on the inside and out. My husband is from up north so The Elms was the perfect touch of that \"Sweet Home Alabama\" feel. If you are looking for a gorgeous venue to celebrate the most memorable day of your life, The Elms is the place for you!!

The Elms of Coosada is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking with all the huge Spanish Moss trees on the property. Janet was a great lady to work with and what you get for the price is good. I was looking for something that came with chairs and tables as part of the package and The Elms had that. It was also very close to most of my immediate family. One of my biggest complaints is that she lets her dogs roam freely on the property the day of rehearsal and before the wedding. Her family does occupy the residents, she just rents it out for events and weddings, therefore, her pets are also on the property. I had shared that I would have liked to have the dogs put up in advance but both times that I arrived at the property (on rehearsal and wedding day) the dogs were roaming around. Even during our pictures they were out. Definitely make sure you make it clear that you would like the dogs put away!! My only other complaint was that we had to designate guest at our wedding to move the chairs from the ceremony to reception. She has a member of her staff on hand but the member present for our event did not help us with that. Overall, a good experience with those minor complaints.

I recently had my wedding at The Elms. Mrs. Janet (the owner) was very great at giving us ideas and letting us look all over the place, whenever we wanted. We had our rehearsal dinner there also. This is a hisortic house that has been updated, and is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are large and will hold a large amount of guests.
