Tanya Oravetz(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-07-2022 Elyria Country Club well exceeded my expectations. Brit is amazing and I can now call her a friend. She was always able to answer questions throughout the planning process. She recommended great vendors and made the venue absolutely beautiful. The food was also absolutely amazing. What drew us to ECC was the wonderful outdoor access and the beautiful patio. I would recommend this venue, hands down, to everyone. Reviewed on 12-08-2022
Kate Kearney(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-06-2018 PERFECT. The venue is beautiful. Brit is AMAZING and helped me arrange everything in advance (chivari chairs, linens, florist, etc.) so that we could just show up and enjoy ourselves. Her referrals were on point. We had a 200ish person reception, and so many guests commented on how amazing the food was, which was very important to us. Reviewed on 29-06-2018

Alli Carpenter(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-06-2015 From our first walk through with Brit Mahilo, the clubs event coordinator, we knew this was it for us. We were thrilled when we picked a date to have both our wedding ceremony and reception there. Being members we were very familiar with the club, but were stilled amazed at how well taken care we would be throughout the planning and on our wedding day. Brit's knowledge on event planning was beyond impressive. She took care of many of the details that could have gone unnoticed, especially the day of as changes were made. Brit was amazing to work with and I would highly recommend her. The second reason we knew we wanted to use Elyria CC was their food (my husband and I are CLE foodies). I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal there. Our tasting offered a variety of options, which were all delicious and wonderful paired. We were able to taste full portions too not just samples. We picked the chicken piccata and 16oz. bone-in ribeye for entree options. For our wedding day the food was cooked perfectly for each guest. As we walked around to our friends and family, one of the first things they would mention was how delicious the food was! On top of that the staff went above and beyond expectations. Elyria also has a covered patio off of the ballroom too! This feature allowed everyone to enjoy the summer weather, while still being a part of the wedding. Over all I can only say the best things about Elyria Country Club. They truly helped us have our dream wedding. \rThank you Elyria CC! Reviewed on 27-07-2015

Jonathan Fredrick(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-04-2013 The Elyria Country Club was an absolutely perfect venue for our reception. I fell in love with it the first time we visited – I just had the feeling that I could picture our event happening there. You do not need to be a member of the ECC to have an event here.\r\rThe event manager, Brit, is great to work with. She’s very professional and organized and helped make sure our event ran smoothly and we had everything we needed. She was extremely helpful in giving her opinion on our questions during the planning process without being too pushy, and generally responded to my emails very quickly.\r\rThe food here is AMAZING! Iron Chef Michael Symon is a member of ECC and consulting chef on their banquet menus, so there are some very cool options. For example, one of our cocktail hour appetizers was baked potato skins topped with BBQ pulled pork and cole slaw. Everyone loved those! The dinner entrees were fantastic, and had a wide range of choices for surprisingly reasonable prices. The roasted salmon with bacon parmesan risotto is honestly one of the best dinners I’ve ever had. All of our guests mentioned how delicious all of the food was.\r\rThe venue itself is really beautiful. We had planned to use the outdoor covered patio space for our cocktail hour and bar, but the weather turned too cold. I was disappointed at first because the outdoor space is breathtaking, but we were able to move everything inside and it worked out perfectly. We moved the bar, coffee station and photobooth into the Centennial Room (just off the main dining room) and it actually worked out to be a perfect “lounge” area where guests could go to sit and talk away from the dance floor and music. \r\rThe only critique I heard from our guests was that the service staff during dinner was not as hospitable as one would hope (for example, clearing plates before guests were finished eating from them or not bringing over the flavor of cake requested by a guest). Overall this was a very minor point, but in the interest of full disclosure I wanted to mention it. The bartender, Harold, though deserves special mention for outstanding service and friendliness. He was absolutely fantastic!\r\rIf you are looking for a beautiful, classy place for your reception, with food your guests will be talking about for days, you must check out the Elyria Country Club.\r Reviewed on 04-05-2013
Christina Dowell(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-10-2012 Location is beautiful inside and out! The food is amazing and all the guests raved about it! The staff was friendly and organized! Everythink was stunning! Unfortunately a few of our guests cars were broken into and apparently this has been an ongoing problem. If we would have known we would have hired security for the parking lot or had them park at the hotel and take the shuttle. Reviewed on 26-10-2012
Katy Phillips(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-01-1970 We were so pleased with Elyria Country Club. We had both our ceremony and reception there. My in-laws also hosted the rehearsal dinner there. Brit made everything so easy and was a great support system. She was great at responding and sending emails. They went above and beyond when my small cousin spilled bubbles on her dress, my aunt asked if they had a bathroom with a blower. They did not but one of the staff went and found a hair dryer for her to use. The facility is beautiful and I did not have to spend a lot to make it look perfect. The food was also excellent, we recommend it to all of our friends that have recently been engaged. Reviewed on 05-10-2010
Nika Grube(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-06-2010 The Elyria Country Club was my dream come true for a reception site. They have a gorgeous indoor ballroom with a big fireplace, brand new chandeliers, and beautiful big windows as well as a brand new patio with a heated floor and a fire pit. They put the bar outside under the canopy which was a nice touch. The food was GREAT for a really good price and the drinks were made well. They were open to ANY ideas and had almost no rules about decorations, etc. They were a dream to work with and the service was spectacular. I would have paid more to have my reception somewhere else and it would not have been as nice. They also do wedding ceremonies outside on the beautiful golf course. I definitely recommend this place!
