Where to even begin? Our May wedding at Emerald Event Center was absolutely perfect. The staff, ESPECIALLY Shannon, was so amazing to work with. Shannon was incredible -- she would respond immediately to any questions, talk through anything you need, and made us feel so special on our wedding day. And the food/bar, wow! I have rarely ever been to a wedding that I said \"wow this food is amazing\"... ALL of our guests raved about our food, including my husband and I. When you go for a food tasting, they set it up for you like the tables will be set for the wedding which makes you feel valued and special. The cake is included from Top Tier Cakes in Westlake which makes for such a simple process when booking the venue, and all around we could not have been happier with the food & desserts. We got the upgraded bar package which was also a hit with our guests. There were so many options and the bartenders were very fun to work with-- they were even dancing while making drinks, how fun! We also had a lot of moving parts to our day/night because we were surprising our guests with a choreographed first dance that included spark machines. Shannon was so kind and supportive of us and she even allowed us to practice in the space a few weeks ahead of the wedding so that we could feel comfortable on the wedding day. It may have been a small gesture to them, but to us it showed us they were wanting and willing to go above and beyond to make our vision come to life. I could go on for hours about how much we loved our wedding, but I will end with this. We talked with Shannon previously about how much we love wine, and even handmade our wine bottle centerpieces. The first piece of mail I got with my new name was from Shannon, inviting us to a wine tasting event at emerald with a handwritten note. This just goes to show how much she cares for her clients. Thank you everyone at Emerald for the BEST WEDDING DAY we could've ever dreamed of! I could not recommend them more. You will not be let down!

We worked with Shannon Besenfelder for our wedding on July 29th and could not have been more impressed. From the moment we toured the venue all the way to the reception, Shannon was in constant contact and made us feel totally confident.We wanted a venue that didn't require any setup on our part. Emerald was perfect because I was able to drop off all of the centerpieces, table cards, etc. and all we had to do was get married and enjoy the evening. The room looked even more gorgeous than we anticipated!I wish I could get married again simply to work with Shannon. You can tell she loves what she does. Shannon made wedding planning completely stress-free and was able to accommodate all of our requests.Our guests had high praise for the food and staff (thank you Sue and Kevin!). They especially loved being able to walk upstairs to their room after an open bar. I cannot recommend Emerald Event Center enough - it is five star service from beginning to end.

The food, catered in-house, was the best wedding food we've ever had. The hotel connected to the reception space was especially convenient for our large number of out-of-town guests with a very reasonable hotel block price. The venue staff did an excellent job setting up the venue to our specifications. We could not be more pleased with how accommodating, friendly, and professional everything was. Shannon & the rest of the EEC team were absolutely outstanding to work with! From our very first meeting/venue tour down to the morning after our wedding, Shannon and her team made us feel so incredibly special. The food was outstanding, the venue was the perfect size for our large wedding (215 guests) but also can be great for a smaller wedding too! EEC was very flexible, attentive, and friendly. I would recommend this venue to anyone! Emerald Event Center really made our wedding day absolutely perfect.

I can't say enough about how amazing this location is for a wedding reception. They were one of the first places I looked at, and was sold instantly. I was a covid bride, and everyone at the event center was so patient, while I was calling and emailing every other week as government protocols were changing. First off, Shannon did an amazing job. She was so easy to get ahold of and made sure everything was perfect on the day. We brought in alot of our own decorations and centerpieces, making a dozen trips to the hall, and she was always there to help. We couldn't have done it without her!The food was phenomenal, we ordered a steak and chicken option with scalloped potatoes and steamed carrots, and everything was cooked perfectly. The steak was so tender and delicious. I may be biased, but the cake was the best wedding cake I've ever had. It was fluffy, and the frosting wasn't too sweet, and it looked just as I had envisioned. The outside patio was a great feature to have. It's a perfect place for guests to go to take a break from the music and dancing and relax. It was also great for the cocktail hour so that guests more room to spread out. Lastly, the honeymoon suite was the cherry on top of an amazing venue. It was so nice to be able to step into the suite to take a break from the wedding madness and just enjoy a moment together. The room itself is beautiful and I was so glad we stayed for two nights. It really was a perfect night at the Emerald Event Center. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Shannon and everyone at the Avon Emerald Event Center were professional and provided exceptional service. Shannon was attentive and quick to respond to emails and phone calls. She worked with us on securing a rescheduled date due to Covid and fine details such as our block of rooms, meal and drink options, venue decor, and much more. The venue was beautiful and perfect, every detail we discussed was executed exactly as we expected. Day of our reception, Shannon was on hand to assist and made sure everything ran smoothly. The dinner was fantastic, we had Steak with asparagus and roasted potatoes, and Chicken Parmesan with pasta, as well as a vegetarian pasta option for our guests. They even fixed our wedding cake that had been slightly damaged in travel to the venue. I can’t say enough great things about the attention to detail, how friendly the staff all were, and how beautiful the venue was. Thank you so much for making our reception perfect!

Due to COVID and unforeseen circumstances , our original venue canceled our wedding reception in June and we had to find another option quick to accommodate our wedding day in October. Kelly at Emerald Events responded to our request for a date right away and we were able to get back on track in the blink of an eye! All of our communications were handled professionally and swiftly. In addition, the venue itself was the perfect place to host our reception. The convenience of having the hotel attached to the event center was great for all of our out of town guests! Kelly and her team did an amazing job of coordinating all of our décor and making the ballroom space look exactly as we pictured. Chef and his staff were fantastic. All of the food from appetizers to entrees to late night snacks were raved about! We couldn't be happier with our choice to work with Emerald Events Center. Kelly Arthur and her team pivoted with me every step of the way. She was just as excited (with good news) and sad (with bad news) for me every step of the way and I will never forget that. When we pulled up to EEC on our wedding day, I saw her and said, \"there is my girl!\" with a huge smile on my face. She was so sweet to give us a personalized gift which means I know she listened to me talk about my dog multiple times :). The day of the wedding (at 3pm, while we were in church getting married), the governor put restrictions on alcohol and closed all bars across the state early. They were very kind and flexible and had little surprises to make it better! The food was great, the staff was amazing, and the overall experience will NEVER be forgotten. I highly recommend! You know they love what they do - it's more than just a job for them.

The hotel rooms for guests, the excellent food, beautiful displays, organized & efficient planners (Shannon was great!) all made this a night to remember!! Everyone at the Emerald Event Center made my daughters wedding amazing!! The hotel rooms for guests, the excellent food, beautiful displays, organized & efficient planners (Shannon was great!) all made this a night to remember!! This should’ve been written months ago but better late than never. Shannon Besenfelder was our coordinator at the Emerald event Center. I am the mother of the bride. Our wedding was booked almost 2 years ago and the event was June 30. We had no idea what we were getting when we booked, because the Emerald event center was pretty new. We could not have been more pleased. I can honestly say that everything was perfect. Shannon seems to be a perfectionist which work to our advantage because, honestly, my daughter’s wedding day was everything she had hoped it would be. Not just the day of but everything leading up to the day of. We had many out-of-town guests And every single one had only positive comments about the hotel. It was a great gathering spot for everyone all weekend long. When we came with three carloads of gift bags and all the necessities for the wedding there were so many people at the front door waiting to help us. The Emerald Event Center was the best place to have a wedding. The venue is in the perfect location for guests that are coming out of town, you don't have to deal with city traffic and the hotel is so nice. We worked with Shannon to plan our reception and everything was absolutely perfect. The venue looked beautiful, the setup was perfect, our request to have a cookie table went very smoothly, and the staff at the reception was so polite, ready and fun! Shannon is such a sweet, kind person and I would recommend this venue to anyone. Chef Bernie did an amazing job with the food service. The guests at our wedding were raving about the food, service and venue. Everything was delicious. I have no complaints for this venue. I wish I could do it all over again - my husband and I are very, very happy with how everything turned out. Thank you to the staff at the Emerald Event Center!!

Emily had her cousins wedding the day of our wedding so she could not be there (which is completely understandable) and we had Shannon filling in for Emily. My husband and I both felt that we were lucky to have Shannon fill in for Emily and she did a perfect job helping with the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner Friday night and the entire wedding day on Saturday. Shannon made sure everything went as smoothly as possible and we are very lucky to have been able to work with her too. Mindy is such a sweet sweet woman. We are so lucky that we got to work with her for our wedding too! She stayed until almost midnight on Friday night working and that work ethic is amazing to me. We were putting up our backdrop Friday night while she was in there and she got an extension cord for us, when we were trying to untangle our lights she brought out mini water bottles for us. She is seriously one of the sweetest women I have ever met and she is also perfect for the job she does. The entire staff at Emerald couldn’t have been any more perfect and our day we will never forget and we have The Emerald Event Center to thank for that.

We absolutely loved the Emerald Event Center. It and the hotel are brand new and very modern. The package options made it easy. We wanted guests to be able to walk from our reception back to their rooms and this allowed for that. They communicated well with us and were very helpful Day of. The only complaint would be the central reservation system, which is a Marriott issue not a wedding issue. They told a few of my guests there were no rooms available period, not just that my block didn't have any more rooms (which if I had been made aware I would have added some additional rooms then). Again, this is a Marriott issue though and not a Emerald event center problem. They are unfortunately a part of the process.

Shannon and the team were so easy to work with-- they made wedding planning as stress free as possible.I highly recommend this venue for anyone with family coming from out of town. My relatives were thrilled with the nice, new hotel suites. Free breakfast in the lobby + the nice bar made for the perfect gathering place for everyone. It felt like a family reunion all weekend!The staff helped make our wedding reception a success. Everything looked beautiful, and every detail was taken care of. The food was also delicious, and the cake from Top Tier was so good that there was not a single slice leftover!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here and everything was absolutely perfect! The whole event center is clean and still looks brand new! The ceremony space was just what we were looking for as was the ballroom. The food was excellent, staff is very attentive and the planning process was super easy! Our coordinator didn't miss a beat! Chef Bernie was very accommodating with my families gluten intolerance and knew exactly what we could and could not have. I would highly recommend this event center for a wedding ceremony and reception. They customized a package that fit our needs and budget. We recently hosted our wedding reception at Emerald and I cannot express how amazing everything was. From the moment we stopped in the see the location everything was a breeze. The entire staff was so easy to work with throughout the planning process. Shannon made sure to keep everything on track and checked in with me often. Every guest raved about how gorgeous our reception was, how amazing the service was and how absolutely delicious the food was. The food was cooked to perfection. Every staff member was extremely courteous and polite. If there was a spill on the dance floor, a staff member was near by to clean it up. Any last minute changes were quickly changed by Shannon's amazing staff. Our reception was absolutely perfect!! Thank you so much to Emerald for the reception of our dreams!

Kelly was very prompt with e-mail responses along with consistent communication throughout the planning process. Chef Bernie and Mindy also were very accommodating and re-assuring that our day would be executed exactly as we envisioned ( and it was ! ). I would highly recommend this venue. They were not only very accommodating but provided us with flexibility to customize our wedding package to make it unique to our wants and needs. The Emerald Event Center was the perfect venue for our wedding! The staff went out of their way to make every bit of our day fantastic! Liz was wonderful and easy to work with and went above and beyond to accommodate us and all of our guests. Our ceremony was outside and the courtyard was simple yet elegant. We were lucky to have a warm and sunny day in October, and our ceremony was the first one to be held outside in the courtyard! The cocktail reception was outstanding- from the appetizers, to the bar and the décor- our guests were definitely impressed. The reception hall was gorgeous! The ballroom was beautifully decorated and the lighting was very cool (the personalized lighting features in the ceiling- awesome!). They even had centerpiece decorations- a tall goblet for candles or flowers, and a tall, rectangular vase for the same. We used them, but added our own flowers and other décor for the tables. We worked with Liz to show her what we wanted the tables to look like, and she arranged all of them perfectly! The food plated, served and delicious! The cake was included, and was phenomenal. Our guests continue to talk about how beautiful and fun our wedding and the whole evening was! When the reception ended, the bar in the hotel stayed open for our guests for an extra hour. The honeymoon suite (also included in our package) was huge, comfortable, and a great place for our parents and siblings (and my husband and I) to escape to for a few minutes during the evening. Our guests' experience was complete with the generous breakfast offerings the next morning. Overall, we highly, HIGHLY recommend the Emerald Event Center in Avon, Ohio.

Amazing venue! Everything went totally perfect. Liz (our wedding coordinator) even helped to make some awesome centerpieces for us the day of the wedding. They were incredibly accommodating and patient with us. It was the perfect magical day that we wanted! I recommend this venue!! The ballroom has amazing LED lights in the ceiling that everyone was raving about and the hotel rooms were BIG, spacious, and beautiful.
