We cannot say enough good things about Jane, Paul and The English Barn! Start to finish, Jane helped make our experience so wonderful! She truly makes you feel so special and pays attention to details! She was so helpful throughout the entire planning process and the wedding weekend! She got to know us, our story and did so much to help make our wedding day everything we envisioned it to be! It was such a gift for us and our families to not have to worry about anything the day of and to have Jane and her team serve us so well so we could just focus on enjoying our day! They went above and beyond in more ways than one! We are so thankful for them and love them!

My wife and I got married here in Nov 2023. It was incredible. Jane and Paul have a passion for weddings and know how to make them run smoothly. They thought of things we never would have considered. My bride has said to me “I wish that day could have lasted forever”, because it was run so smoothly. The pictures speak for themselves. They have nothing to hide aesthetically - every last detail is carefully chosen and maintained. But many wedding venues have that. IMO it’s the people who you work with that separate the venues, and the English Barn is fantastic. Generous. Thoughtful & Experienced. Dedicated.

The English Barn is the perfect combination of elegance and rustic setting! My daughter was married in October 2023 and she and her husband could not have been more thrilled with their special day. The ceremony had been planned for over a year to be a beautiful outdoor fall wedding. However in the days leading up to her wedding including the day of the heavy rains changed our plans. Jane, the venue owner, and her team could not have been more accommodating to make all the arrangements to move the wedding inside and the wedding day turned out to more spectacular than we could have imagined. 5 stars for Jane, Paul, and The English Barn! From beginning to end, my daughter’s wedding reception couldn’t have been more perfect, and the barn itself was amazing. With so many months of planning and sooo many details to be considered, Jane and her crew were meticulously organized and helpful, but what I appreciate the most is the time she took to get to know my daughter and her (now) husband. She wanted nothing but for them to have a beautiful, fun, and stress-free day—which it was—and for that I am grateful. It was exceptional and I can’t thank them enough.

This is the best place around to get married at! Jane is the best and knows the best vendors in town to get your wedding going right! She is a wonderful person and I just can't recommend her enough! The Barn is absolutely beautiful and gave my husband and I the perfect setting for our wedding. We fell in love with the building as soon as we walked in and Jane's lovely personality made this place irresistible! I can't imagine how I could have made my wedding happen without Jane and Paul. They took my vague ideas and brought my dream wedding to life!

This is the best place around to get married at! Jane is the best and knows the best vendors in town to get your wedding going right! She is a wonderful person and I just can't recommend her enough! The Barn is absolutely beautiful and gave my husband and I the perfect setting for our wedding. My daughter and son-in-law were married at the English Barn in April 2023. The planning process was very organized and detailed. Jane and Paul were wonderful to work with and provided the most beautiful venue for the special day! Makiah was phenomenal the day of the wedding and was attentive to our every need. All the staff was very professional and our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about the venue, staff, and vendors. Weddings can be very chaotic but the English Barn staff made everything go so smoothly. So many places to get beautiful memories.

Our son and his bride got married at the English Barn. Our experience was incredible, gorgeous, breath-taking and amazing! This venue is gorgeous inside and out and gave us a magical feeling every time with began our drive onto the property. Jane went above and beyond to help our kids wedding dreams become real. She is extremely professional and pays close attention to all the details. Since this one of her gifts, we were able to fully enjoy every moment of this day knowing she was taking care of everything. Honestly when my fiancè and I went and looked at this place we were very excited! Unfortunately with the way we were looked at and the way she kept implying how we couldn’t afford it turned us off. Our tour was scheduled for after work so we were still in our work clothes. The judgmental looks we received from her made us feel very uncomfortable and as if we were just wasting her time. Venue was beautiful, but rather small. I don’t believe it’s worth the $14,000 she thinks it’s worth. That’s just my experience and opinion.

The Howe’s and their team truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day ideas come to life! We love the renaissance era but are also quite modern in our style and The English Barn was a perfect combination for our vision. They worked with our budget and made us feel comfortable and knowledgeable through each step of the wedding planning process. When beginning our venue search, we were sticker shocked and began making a list of items included in each venue’s price. The price that you pay for The English Barn is practically all included and save you thousands in the long run! We were able to choose our own vendors, but a list was provided to us if we needed recommendations, and it helped design the day to showcase our love for one another and our love story.The English Barn holds many dear memories for our family. We knew we were eventually going get engaged/married and we began to worry about not have a venue that we absolutely love in time for a 2023 wedding. Therefore, we secured our top choice, The English Barn, prior to even becoming engaged. We went to The English Barn for a planning meeting, and we took a tour of the venue, and my husband completely surprised me by proposing on the bridge of our wedding venue. Him and Jane planned it all out in secret and it was truly a success because I did not see it coming! Another wonderful memory that we were able to have here was my Bridal Shower. Jane and my MOH worked together to have my Bridal Shower at the venue and the details were flawless. This just goes to show that not only does The English Barn have amazing weddings, but all types of events and memories can be made there! Jane helped with the details, large and small, all to make the day(s) exactly what a girl dreams of growing up. I was blessed with my prince charming and my dream wedding fit for a princess! The English Barn and the team will forever have a place in our family. We look forward to supporting them for many years to come.

I am the maid of honor for my best friend who is getting married at this venue. We had her bridal shower here and Jane was tremendously helpful with setup and prep work leading up to our little event! She even created new bouquets for us from the flowers that were left over from the wedding the night before on her own suggestion! On top of all of this, the communication was outstanding! I had my wedding at a venue in Branson and it was a beautiful location, but if I had to do it all over again, I would 1000% go through Jane at her venue due to the wonderful service I experienced in setting up this event with her help. She is so kind and it really is apparent that she loves what she does and is in it for the right reasons! The bride-to-be is constantly raving about how wonderful Jane is and the amount of decorations that they have on site that they allow you to use is just wonderful. It really shows that she has a lot less stress going into her big day than it seems like I did leading up to mine. I was nickel and dimed into EVERYTHING that I wanted on my day, including if I wanted to use an arbor that the venue was gifted from a previous couple. Jane does NOT nickel and dime her clients like that. She is absolutely wonderful and really knows how to put on a classy event!

This place is just absolutely stunning. I had the privilege of planning a styled wedding shoot, and it was the perfect backdrop for our romantic wildflower theme. On top of the gorgeous getting-ready rooms, large kitchen, beautiful architecture, and Juliet-style balcony, Jane is one of the sweetest humans I have ever met. She was so accommodating and kind (she even made coffee mid-shoot so the vendors could refuel), and it's obvious that she absolutely loves what she does.

My husband and I had looked at a ton of wedding venues around the Kansas City area and I was a little hesitate to go look at The English Barn since it was far from finished, but as soon as I walked in and met Jane and Paul I knew this was the place for us! I instantly fell in love (seriously what’s not to love about this venue—look at those pictures!) We booked with them back in Sept 2020 and I loved watching Jane’s vision come together over the year, she even allowed us to constantly visit and see the progress! We had the most beautiful wedding day on Oct 30th 2021 and it was all thanks to Jane and Paul. Jane goes above and beyond for her couples to make sure they have the best day ever down to every little detail! Jane and Paul were always there to answer all our questions and help in any way they could and they truly became like family to us! I’ve had so many guest still talk to me about how ABSOLUTELY beautiful our wedding was, from the outdoor ceremony to the cocktail hour to our last dance of the reception I could not have asked for a better day! Thank you Jane and Paul! If you are thinking about The English Barn… set up that tour and meet Jane and Paul! I promise you won’t regret it!!

I’m not sure where to start because our daughter’s wedding at the English Barn was absolutely beautiful! It’s Thursday after the wedding and we are still getting calls, texts and emails how beautiful, fun and enjoyable the wedding was! Jane and Paul want the Bride and Grooms day to be the best day ever! Jane will work with the bride to get her vision. Like she told my daughter we get no do overs so we have to do it right the first time! My daughter and her fiancé signed with them over a year ago before it was even finished, their first view and meeting was at the barn on a cement slab! They entrusted their day with Paul and Jane because they could see Jane’s vision. The craftsmanship in the barn is phenomenal! It was made by the hands of Amish men and is just gorgeous! Then Jane adds her decorating touch from her design background and the venue comes to life. The beautiful bridal sweet is so perfect for the bride and her party to get ready in. Our daughters wedding was the first to be on the back patio and it was perfect. The cross, the flowers and lanterns looked beautiful with the sunset and the bridal party. Jane had the vision and it worked out perfectly! After a year of planning and many visits to the barn I have to admit the day went too fast! It’s just such a stunning venue and good people to work with work with that I will truly miss it all!

We booked July of 2020 and got married at the English Barn during October of 2021 and I can't express how gorgeous the day was. Jane was so helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process and she made sure that all of my questions were answered and that my \"vision\" for our ceremony and reception came true! We had the ceremony inside (they do have gorgeous locations for a ceremony outside as well), did a complete room flip for the reception, and had our cocktail hour outside in the patio area during the room flip. They are so accommodating and made sure we had food and drinks the day of the wedding which was something they didn't need to do, but they did it anyway and it was so kind and thoughtful of them! Also, as there wasn't a wedding the Friday before my special day, they even let us bring all of our decorations, my dress, and anything we may need for the wedding day ahead of time! It made everything way less stressful and it was fun to set up my bridal suite for my bridesmaids and to put out gifts for the groomsmen in their suite as well! I can't express enough gratitude for Jane and Paul. I have received endless compliments on the venue and it is all because of them! Even my bridesmaids were commenting during our rehearsal and the wedding day how kind these two are. If you are on the fence about booking this venue, just book it! You will not be disappointed. They will meet your expectations and they seriously bend over backwards to make sure you have your dream wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Through designing the venue with the utmost detail (beautiful chandeliers, exquisite furniture, lovely woodwork, gorgeous fireplace), to taking over many fine details that our wedding planner was not helping with (ceremony/reception layout, scheduling, vendor communication), to creating magic during the wedding (graciously preparing breakfast and lunch for our wedding party, taking care of the venue flip, lighting floating candles, setting up refrigerated items for the dessert table, setting up a candlelit last dance as a couple) to helping my parents load up after the wedding (she and wedding assistant, Callie, packed things up for my parents, boxed up leftover food, took care of all clean up), Jane makes sure your wedding at The English Barn isn't just an event, but the perfect experience! Thank you so much to Jane, Callie, and Paul for all you did for our wedding! <3 We so highly recommend The English Barn, and hope to visit the Barn again for their Mother's Day event.

We discovered The English Barn at the KCPWG wedding convention, and I am SO THANKFUL we did!!! The English Barn was my absolute fairytale wedding venue! I felt like a total princess having my wedding there! Jane, the venue owner, is the most hard-working, kindest, sweetest person! Her \"we only get to do this once\" attitude ensured that our day was absolutely on-point! I have one word...PERFECTION!!! This venue was everything we could have every wanted and needed!! The grooms suite and bridal suite were the perfect spaces to get ready for our big day! The entire venue is stunning in every way!! Jane was amazing to work with and listened to every detail we thought of and ran with it! She surprised us so much with all the little details that she added and it made the experience that much better! Other venues made us feel like a paycheck but Jane made us feel like family and I couldn't be more appreciative of her time and energy she put into our perfect day! We had an amazing wedding at the English Barn. The venue was absolutely stunning. The owner Jane and her husband are great people and went above and beyond what was expected and truly made the day special. The guests had an amazing time and loved the venue as much as we did. We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. We highly recommend this venue for your event.

She worried about every little detail and was there all hours of the day and night. Our daughter wanted her ceremony to be outside but rain had kept Jane and Paul from being able to complete the pavers earlier int he month. So with rain coming and going, Jane and Paul and their crew worked day and into the night using spotlights just to make sure their ceremony could be perfect. The pavers were done literally just hours before ceremony . So many guest raved about the venue, the setting. Jane really has a passion to make every girl's wedding exactly how they envision it. You can't go wrong. God really blessed us.

When you step into the doors, You will see the most breath-taking beauty of a majestic venue, with the awe of it’s massive beams, to the glistening facets of sparkling chandeliers, THIS is the perfect wedding venue for your dream story to begin! Every bride loves a good fairytale and the romantic bridal suite inside the stone turret brings those dreams to life! With the heart window side door, the bridesmaids have perfect access to seclusion and privacy in their own dressing room! The furniture and surroundings are simply exquisite! It is spacious and quite comfortable for hair and makeup experts to get four bridesmaids ready for the big day, while the bride has her own lovely surroundings to enjoy. The groom’s den is the perfect masculine hideaway! The pool table and big sectional couch were so comfortable for the guys to hang out! There is a spectacular balcony view of the fireplace setting in the chapel below, warm from the glow of candles and the most beautiful floral arrangements imaginable. Many of our guests enjoyed the comfortable patio setting, giving them another beautiful setting to relax and visit with good friends and family. Jane and Paul have been so kind and considerate to share their Dream-Come-True Venue with us for our daughter’s wedding and one of our guests said, “This beautiful venue was just out of this World!” It just takes your breath away to stand in the doorway and feel the presence of joy and love that overflows your heart when You know, This is the Most Beautiful Venue for Your Wedding too! We are looking forward to the photography and videography delights so that we may relive this day over and over! I really had hoped this venue would have been open for our wedding. Even though we were unable to have our wedding here, I fell in love with this amazing beautiful 14 foot high cross. Nervous - I asked the owners if it would be possible to use this at my wedding - Not only did they say \"YES\" but took time out of their weekend to deliver it, drape it, brought a sweet sign for the front of it and came back later to pick it up! They made my wedding complete and I am so very grateful! This tells me they will go above & beyond for brides who are lucky enough to get married here. Thank you for the kindness and going above and beyond to make my day so very special!!!!

I just had to write a small review. It might be pre-mature but we must have interviewed with a least a dozen venues. When I picked up the PWG book at Price Chopper, and saw The English Barn, I had to know more. A fairytale wedding is what I have always dream about and is exactly what we have been looking for on our big day. Whimsical, dreamy, magical and glamorous… After our meeting with the owner, we loved Jane's kindness, and how she really took an interest in what was important to us. We talked for hours and felt like we had been friends forever. We feel a wedding signifies all the things that a couple wishes to highlight representing their personal style, marking this as the first day of their life together as husband & wife. Knowing this, we opted to hold our reception at The English Barn. After all, who doesn't want a fairytale on the most important day of her life. We can't wait for Oct. 2021 to get here. I will be adding more to this after our big day!
