The elegant Medovue ballroom features crystal chandeliers and large picturesque windows. We have the perfect venue for summer and fall weddings with our romantic gardens or a magical winter occasion with snow-covered grounds. Rooms are available for wedding guests on the property. I cannot speak highly enough about this venue and its team of people. Adriana, the Special Events Manager, was responsive, timely, kind and incredibly efficient. She understood exactly what we wanted and took the stress of coordination off our plates. She and the entire team at the venue made us feel so special and taken care of the whole weekend. Everyone was friendly and helpful to us and all of our guests, and made not only the wedding day but also the rehearsal dinner perfect. We stayed Friday-Sunday and felt so comfortable the whole time. I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants a stress free, full-service and beautiful place to host your special day.

The English Inn provided exceptional service, breathtaking scenery, and excellent food and drinks. We couldn’t have chosen a better venue for our wedding day! It was magical and breathtaking. We went with their diamond package, reserved the entire day, had our ceremony and reception there, and reserved cottages for multiple nights. Their event coordinator, Adriana, exceeded our expectations with so many details it’s difficult to list everything. One special, beyond expectation moment was how she helped coordinate our marriage certificate signing within the library, complete with champagne and hors devours from the cocktail hour, for an intimate moment with our immediate family members. All staff made great impressions on us and our guests. We had many guests stay at the Inn for the weekend, and all of them were highly impressed. The grounds and estate have been very well maintained, including being freshly mowed the morning of. We’d also like to highlight the kitchen crew and bar staff; they were on top of it! Everyone enjoyed their meals and couldn’t get enough of the specialty cocktails. Overall, we feel and heard from our guests that our wedding was magical, and we know a great deal of that came from the hard work of The English Inn and its staff. It really isn’t possible to write out all the positive feedback we feel and heard from our guests – without writing a book!

The on-site rooms allowed us to keep our immediate family and closest friends close which made for the perfect wedding weekend. We had great locations for getting ready which made for excellent photo ops. The staff was so friendly and considerate and went out of their way to make our weekend special. I can't thank everyone enough, especially Adriana who addressed all of my emails in a friendly, timely manner. She was constantly checking in throughout the wedding and ready to address any issues that arose. We're looking forward to spending many of our anniversaries here for years to come.

Wow, the English Inn was an incredible choice for wedding venue on all fronts. The events manager was so professional, organized, and responsive - our planning anxiety was hugely reduced just by being in their capable hands. We loved having our ceremony on the beautiful grounds outside, cocktail hour was a blast on the patio outside the reception hall, and Medovue was nice and spacious for the reception. (Plus, we loved it as a backup location for the ceremony in case of bad weather.) We're thankful for all the staff's help throughout the day, and everyone LOVED dinner.We loved having our wedding here, and you will, too!

Our wedding at the English Inn was right out of a fairytale!! There is so much to rave about with this venue. First, they offer both a ceremony location and reception hall, which is exactly what we wanted. Adriana, the coordinator on site, helped answer all of our questions from the day we booked our date (over a year in advance!) up to our wedding day. She was extremely kind, helpful, and answered all our emails in a timely manner. Next, the venue is absolutely stunning at any time of the year (and I know because we visited multiple times!). There were so many spots for pictures around the property with the bridal party and for photos of just me and my husband. Finally, the waitstaff were incredible the whole evening! As soon as the ceremony was over, waitstaff came down to the Pergola to bring the bridal party cold glasses of water since it was a hot day in July. The food was exquisite and I got so many compliments on 1) how good the food was, and 2) how fun the waitstaff were. It was the perfect day, and we can't wait to go back and visit for future anniversaries. Thank you Adriana and the English Inn!!

The English Inn truly made our wedding simple to plan and the execution was absolutely perfect. They were flexible with any changes we needed, the food was absolutely delicious, and I couldn’t have asked for a simpler process to get everything done. The staff at the Inn is absolutely top notch, making sure my guests had full drinks and full bellies. I wouldn’t have changed a thing, and am so happy we went with the English inn for our small wedding. Having the ceremony and dinner in one place really made it easy for our guests to relax. We were able to stay well within our budget and the whole day was absolutely perfect!

The English Inn was a beautiful venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. We worked with Adriana from start to finish in the planning and she was great to work with. She was responsive, knowledgeable, provided valued suggestions, and was patient with my never ending questions I had while planning a wedding during COVID-19. My husband and I, along with our guests, had a wonderful time. Everyone raved about the food (we went with the duck) and the beauty of the location. I appreciated the flexibility of the staff during the many changes that came up with planning due to COVID. We chose 4 out of 5 stars for 3 reasons: (1) we were disappointed to find out at our reception that craft beer wasn’t actually included like we thought with our bar package when we stated from the beginning how that was important to us; (2) despite knowing for some time that the reception had to be moved outdoors for COVID compliance, we weren’t told a tent was recommended until 3 weeks prior and that entire cost was our responsibility; and (3) our wedding package stated we would have a day-of coordinator which was critical for us and we interpreted that to mean someone would serve as “point” during the day’s events to keep things running smoothly however that was not the case. We didn’t see our day-of coordinator until she was leaving to go home for the day (after the food was served at the reception). Despite what may have been miscommunications or misinterpretations, we still recommend the English Inn and are excited to return for our 1 year anniversary.

When my wedding of 100 people at a golf club had to be canceled due to border closures, I was devastated. When I had to replan my entire wedding with only 7 guests, I was heartbroken. But then, I found the English Inn! Adriana made my day a fairytale and I cannot thank her enough! She was so helpful, quick with responding back to every little question that I had (and I had a lot), and she made the day ran so smoothly in every regard! We booked the rooms upstairs and they were beautiful! We had the Thames room for the wedding and it was picturesque. The food was AMAZING and the scenery was so quaint, beautiful, and a perfect fairytale. Everyone working there was kind, professional, and so accommodating and I would recommend the English Inn for any event you are planning!

My parents got married at the English Inn, and recommended the venue to my husband and I when we were searching for where to get married. The English Inn was the most perfect choice! The setting is beautiful, and the customer service was beyond expectations. The staff is so incredibly helpful, and the delivery of drinks/meals was so seamless. I had so many compliments after our wedding about the beautiful venue, and how prompt the staff was. The whole ceremony and reception was perfectly timed and planned out, largely thanks to our coordinator Adriana. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!

The venue was beautiful the wait staff impeccable and the food was delicious. Cooked to perfection and Service was fabulous.

We were looking for an all-inclusive venue in Michigan and the English Inn was that match. I could not have asked for a better venue. The grounds are stunning in September – green and full of flowers. The food (steak and salmon dinner option) was outstanding. Adriana, our wedding coordinator, was not only very experienced and organized, but extremely pleasant to work with to build a ceremony and reception that fit our needs. We looked at multiple bakeries and the English Inn’s Pastry Chef options surpassed the competition (chocolate cake with raspberry filling and a tiramisu groom’s cake). Finally, we stayed onsite at the Inn the weekend of the wedding. Being able to get ready onsite and then unwind after the wedding at the pub with friends and family made the weekend. Our day felt like perfection at the English Inn. The only call-out I have is book the venue and rooms early. We booked one year out and only one Sunday was available for the three weekend options we were considering. No Saturdays remained.

We couldn't have picked a better venue for our big day! The weather was prefect, the good was great, and the venue was beautiful! Such a neat place to visit or celebrate for a special occasion! The staff was very kind and accommodating!

If your looking for a one stop shop for excellent staff, scrumptious food and beautiful backdrops with flexible budget options, this is the place for you. All of our guests raved about the food, drink, cake and enjoyed the Inn and grounds. I planned my wedding from out of state (military) and Adriana, our coordinator was always so responsive to calls/emails. It made wedding planning a breeze. It truly was the perfect day.

Our daughter recently got married at the English Inn. Every moment start to finish was amazing! The ceremony and reception areas were gorgeous! The wait staff went over and beyond to ensure that our event went smoothly and our guests were taken care of - like royalty! Rebecca personally maintained contact with me ensuring our happiness; she and her banquet team were spectacular and professional in every possible way. Our guests raved about the food, as the meal was phenomenal!!! Every aspect of the planning process, rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and throughout the wedding day and our nights stay was perfection. It will be a day/experience we will always remember fondly, with gratitude to English Inn staff. Adriana, the special events organizer, was a joy to work with. She made the planning and execution of our event a pleasant and joyful experience. The English Inn is blessed to have her on staff. She is an incredible representative of the English Inn and the event services they offer. If I could I would give them a 10 star rating!!! I highly recommend you choose the English Inn for your special occasion!

Choosing the English Inn was the best decision we made for our wedding. The grounds are beautiful, the food is fantastic, and Adriana is incredibly helpful, kind, prepared, and professional. She wanted to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams. Of course it was also convenient that they have rooms on site so we could get ready right there and guests didn't have to travel after the reception. And everyone got to have breakfast together the next morning. We received so many compliments from guests all night and days later. We can't wait to go back to celebrate our anniversary.

I had my wedding and reception at the English Inn, and although it was expensive, I was really grateful for how easy their services made planning my wedding. Having the in-house catering is wonderful, and the food was fantastic. Adrianna and other staff were extremely acomedating, even with my very non-traditional order of events they made everything easy and were happy to do anything I asked for. Overall, I loved working with them and would definitely recommend it as a wedding venue to anyone who can afford it, because it is well worth it!

Great place to get married! Food and drinks were great. They were very quick to respond to emails and they were very easy to work with. They had on site rooms which was nice for guests to have a room close by. The only downside was that they don’t have a room included in the packages for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready in. They were very upfront and made the ceremony and reception a dream come true even in the dead of winter! We got many compliments on how beautiful the venue was!

Our wedding was absolutely everything we hoped it would be and more and we owe most of that to the English Inn! A friend of ours recommended it to us and we were so glad that they did as it was a little out of the areas that I was originally searching in. The whole feel of the English Inn was so dreamy and unique its hard not to fall in love. Some of my favorite aspects include:1. The rooms! There are 20 rooms on site so we were able to have all of our immediate family and the wedding party stay together both Friday and Saturday nights and it was so nice not having travel for the weekend and being all together. The rooms are also STUNNING. The variety of rooms to stay in was so much fun too. The main house/restaurant has 8 rooms that are decorated to resemble the early 20th century English decor and every little detail is just perfect (we put the girls of the bridal party here). There is another house with 5 beautiful rooms where we put the men of the bridal party. There is another adorable house down by the river and 8 other cottages where we put our immediate family. That are all newer and perfect. They also have coffee delivery to your door in the morning and a delicious English breakfast served in the morning with the most attentive staff! 2. The food! How they managed to make 200 absolutely perfect filets is still puzzling to our family and friends. Trust me, they know what they're doing. We also got our cake through them which was so beautiful and delicious. We went with a strawberry cake with a vanilla buttercream frosting - big hit!3. The staff! The event planner, Adriana, is one of the most friendly, helpful, and organized people I have ever met. She really made the process so much better and was there the whole day setting up until the cake was served. She was also SO helpful for the many months leading up to the wedding. The rest of the staff was also very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful as well!4. The grounds! So beautiful, right on the Grand River and Lovely Landscaping.

Gorgeous setting unlike I've ever seen with prestine, preserved history. This historical venue is sure to impress with their gardens & beatuy of the Inn, cottages and pub! My family loved doing the ceremony & reception all in one location, their chef impressed with delicious food that was so pretty to look at AND tasty to eat! The cocktail hour was pleasant & spacious with three beautifully furnished sitting rooms while we took pictures. The A/C was just right on the hottest day of summer. The professional staff alone was so kind to work with from the attentive servers who served us water outside when it was 99°, the sweet, prompt & professional wedding coordinator (Adriana) to the wonderful owner (Eric). We also had our gorgeous cake done by their baker and our cake was delicious & elegantly done! They will cut and serve your cake with coffee! Everything was so beautiful & perfect, the timing of a hot dinner, and the charm. We barely had to decorate since the place is so pretty on its own and speaks for itself; every penny was WORTH IT! So many indoor/outdoor ceremony options! They include alot which was helpful (linen, dishes, salt & pepper, etc) I would go back for any event. We stayed in the croquet cottages and they are great! Newly built and fresh and clean. Great traditional English breakfast served in the morning with your stay. They have rooms available at different price ranges. No matter what, you won't be disappointed. It sits along the Grand River so bring bug spray but they spray twice weekly. We loved our complimentary menu & cake tasting! It's no wonder they are award winning, truly!! We already have our anniversary night booked for next summer! The staff lit our taper candles and even helped us clean up! Everyone was so kind!!! The English Inn is a great venue with the best food! Amber was fantastic in responding to our questions and helping out with setting up are place cards and some decorations. The only reason I did not rate them 5 stars is that they say the room can hold 200 people and we had 130 which I think is ideal. Also, they increased our cost per person after we signed the contract because it was during their yearly review. We felt they should've honored the price given to us at the time we signed the contract. Lastly, one of the bartenders was drinking while working and was very unprofessional to some of our guests.

I can’t express enough what an amazing experience we had at The English Inn for our wedding reception on May 25, 2018. Amber was wonderful to work with. She sent emails letting us know of upcoming dates and deadlines, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our special day. We took advantage of renting the cottages for family and friends, and everyone loved the accommodations. I stayed in The Ivy Cottage the night before our wedding and that evening. It was beautiful, and the perfect amount of space for myself, 4 bridesmaids, and 2 flower girls to get their hair and makeup done before the ceremony.The grounds are absolutely beautiful and we were able to take some pictures before and after our ceremony. Our reception took place in the Medovue Hall and there was plenty of room for the 95 people we had attend. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was out of this world. We had so many compliments that the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding reception. Overall, I don’t think our experience could have been any better! We plan to stay their each year around our anniversary.

Choosing the English Inn for our wedding reception was one of the best decisions we ever made. We were super lucky with a sunny 75 degree day in early May, but the grounds are beautiful. We made a whole weekend out of it with our bridal party and family staying on site for two nights for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is fabulous. They were extremely accommodating before the wedding during planning and during with our many questions and requests. Adriana helped us plan the reception and she is fantastic to work with. Our guests have only had positive comments and they LOVE the food and so do we. Cannot wait to go back!

I got married at the English Inn a couple weeks ago and I have nothing but good things to say about the experience.Staff: I worked with special event coordinator, Adriana and she was wonderful - she was extremely responsive, organized, helpful, and nice. All of the staff here were wonderful and very accommodating. Location: The Inn and reception hall are beautifully designed and the grounds are breathtaking. As soon as my husband and I saw the inn in person for the first time, we knew it was exactly what we were looking for for our wedding venue. All of our wedding guests commented on how beautiful the setting was and called it an \"oasis\" in Michigan.Food: I love food and I can't emphasize enough - everything served here is amazing. We had the filet mignon and cornish game hen as our entree options and got great feedback from our guests. Rooms: I stayed at the Inn the night before our wedding as well as the night of and the rooms are large and clean. We stayed in the Dove Cottage and it has a jacuzzi tub, fireplace, king size bed and cute deck overlooking the ceremony site. My husband and I plan to make it a tradition to come back and celebrate our anniversary here on a regular basis.

The day was perfect, the staff was professional and helpful right up to the very end of the reception. Adriana, the event coordinator, is exceptional and was very supportive throughout the whole experience, always quick with email and phone responses when ever we had questions. We also stayed two nights at the inn, the night before and of our wedding, it is a very relaxing atmosphere, and the food is amazing. It definitely helped decrease overall stress levels of our big day!

The English Inn was an amazingly beautiful location for both my wedding ceremony (outdoor) and reception. The day was perfect, the staff was professional and helpful right up to the very end of the reception. Adriana, the event coordinator, is exceptional and was very supportive throughout the whole experience, always quick with email and phone responses when ever we had questions. We held our ceremony at the Pergola at The English Inn and the reception in Medovue Hall for our wedding. It was simply amazing!! Not only is it a beautiful venue to get married at, the staff are absolutely amazing. Adriana was our designated event coordinator and she was so responsive and answered my 1,000 emails promptly. The food was delicious and I couldn't have envisioned a more perfect day. I highly recommend The English Inn for any event!!

Our ceremony was a moment we will always cherish. Beautiful grounds, wonderful service, with an extremely unique charm. From the moment we visited we both fell in love with the Inn. I was extremely pleased with The English Inn. It was a fairy tale wedding, beautiful grounds, elegant/english setting. \rIt was on the pricy side, but it was absolutely worth it. They take care of the cake for you and the food. You don't have to worry about outside vendors. Adrianna was my consultant, she was amazing. She was there on the wedding day and helped my family organize and decorate as needed. They are pretty flexible with decorations as well! \r\rI couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.

I’m very happy with the English Inn. We could not have had a more beautiful wedding. It was outdoor ceremony and reception in the hall. The river was by the pergola, wonderful gardens, and the Inn itself is very impressive looking. The food was amazing and the staff was very attentive. It exceeded our expectations. Our family and friend even commented that the inn was one of the best venues they have been to. Karen and Amy were very helpful and made planning the wedding easy. They gave me a list of recommended vendors that were all remarkable. We had such a wonderful experience.

We had a Fantastic Wedding! Couldn't have asked for a better day! The staff was friendly and polite! We had a slight mix up with the food... Not sure how it happend, my father-inlaw is alergic to mushrooms and he was suppose to get a differnt dish. We all got that dish. I was dissappointed but the staff quickly made it right and I enjoyed the rest of the evening! Amy the lady that cordinastes all the weddings there, she is Fantastic! She even helped me set up my center peices! Great Lady! I definitly will recomend this place to anyone I know getting married!

The experience we had with English Inn was exceptional! They were extremely friendly, warm and welcoming when we visited; accommodating, helpful and hard-working the day of the wedding! I dreamed of an outdoor wedding, however mother nature had other ideas and it rained. :(. So, having to do last minute changes to have it indoors, they went above and beyond to make sure this happened in style. So my indoor wedding became much more than expected - it was intimate and beautiful. :) Kudos to the entire staff! I highly recommend this venue! Excellent food as well. You won't be disappointed!\r

I'll start this out by stating that I've never really been a big fan of cake, but I did enjoy the cake from the English Inn. They had a variety of flavors to choose from (including my favorite, chocolate with a mousse filling). I would have liked for there to have bit a bit more mousse and a bit less cake, but that may be due to logistics and practicality. We didn't have any specific design in mind, so we largely left that up to the baker, and it turned out lovely. We were told ahead of time (by our florist, oddly enough) that the cake frosting is very soft, so a light wedding topper would be necessary, lest it sink to the side, so there is always that to keep in mind.

Wow! Amy and Karen were amazing! The food was fabulous (my groom even cleaned his plate)! Waiters were waiting with trays of wine glasses when my guests arrived. Additional touches were added, such as a flower in the mashed potatoes and NYE party favors just before midnight. I highly recommend this venue. The setting was fabulous, pleanty of photo opportunities, and the service was out of thsi world!

The English Inn is a little pricey but it's absolutely beautiful. The only thing I didn't like was that they were so strict about bringing in any outside food and charged us extra for the appetizers we wanted to bring ourselves. I didn't think it was appropriate considering the fact that we bought and prepared them but whatever. In the end, aside from that, we LOVED everything. The whole property is just gorgeous and the pictures look like postcards. :)

It's perfect for an outdoor wedding by the river, with beautiful flowers (which saves $ on a florist!). The grounds are magnificent and elegant with a Victorian feel, and my photos were amazing due to the landscaping.\rThe reception hall is on-site, and individually served a delicious, moist filet & chicken meal.
