The Exchange wedding venue is a sparkling white gambrel barn, nestled in the countryside of Riverside, IA,, immersed in the beauty of the heartland and overlooking two ponds, lush fields, and timber. Located seven miles from the Riverside Casino Hotel & Golf Resort, and twenty miles south of Iowa City. - comfortably seats up to 362 people - indoor or outdoor ceremony space - tables and chairs included - bar and bar staff provided - no required vendor list - clean up done by staff Facilities & Capacity; The completely temperature controlled 4,800sqft Ballroom comfortably seats up to 362 guests, all on the wooden farmhouse tables and black cross-back chairs that we provide, complimentary. This beautiful, open space is fully transformable to be whatever you need it be. The abundant windows bathe every corner of the Ballroom in natural light, and as evening approches, the pearly chandeliers above and the sconces lining the walls create soft, romantic lighting as guests enjoy watching the sun set over the fields right outside of the windows. Just beyond the Ballroom staircase lies our Parlor – a staffed, full bar, serving beer, wine, mixed drinks and special requests. Open bar, cash bar, or customizable hybrid alcohol packages available for whatever your budget allows. The Veranda - our patio - sits directly off the Ballroom and is the perfect space for cocktail hour, outdoor entertainment, or for additional seating. Our prep-kitchen is available to you and your vendors, as well as the perfect place for a food truck to pull up and serve right off of the Veranda. Up the Ballroom staircase, your retreat awaits. The seperate Suite and Lounge areas are your haven to prepare for your day in private - complete with individual bathrooms & showers, minibars, and space to relax. Abundant natural light, ample vanity space, outlets lining every wall, and a private staircase that only your authorized personnel can access, via keypad. We have no list of required vendors - anyone you want to take part in your day is welcome at The Exchange. Indoor or Outdoor Ceremony Space; The floor-to-ceiling wall of windows on the North end of the Ballroom makes for the perfect backdrop for an indoor ceremony. Make your entrance from behind, or down the Ballroom staircase - the choice is entirely yours! If an outdoor ceremony is your vision, the peninsula in between the two ponds is the where you can exchange vows with the picturesque landscape all around you. This area has permanent bench seating, and a paved walk way. In-house sound system throughout Ballroom, Parlor and Veranda. You can begin to prep and unwind the morning of as early as 6:00am, and last call for alcohol is 11:30pm. Our staff will cleanup and tear down everything at the end of the night, except any personal decor you bring with you!
