A charming wedding venue in Wilmington, Delaware, the Farmhouse is a historic estate nestled upon four acres of manicured grounds and picturesque gardens. This beautifully restored estate offers all the comforts of modern amenities with a dash of rustic authenticity, and provides an intimate setting for both your wedding ceremony and reception. The all inclusive wedding package creates a stress free experience for your perfect wedding day. The property can accommodate up to 190 guests, making it an idyllic destination for intimate gatherings as well as extravagant ones. Outside ceremonies take place under an enchanting wooden pergola defined by a backdrop of hanging willow tree vines. The Farmhouse offers multiple indoor spaces for your reception featuring lofty ceilings, expansive windows, and glimmering skylights. Its bright and airy ambiance is enhanced by a wrap around deck and patio, overlooking the surrounding grounds and gazebo bar. A cozy lounge can be found adjacent to the indoor bar, providing a quiet location for socializing during all of the festivities. The property also features private dressing suites and bathrooms for your day-of preparation. The Farmhouse offers an all inclusive wedding package, which includes a premium open bar, gourmet catering, staffing and gratuity, candle centerpieces and in house decor, wedding cake, a complimentary hotel room, wedding coordinator & more. Other necessities provided in the Farmhouse packages include but are not limited to: chiavari chairs and banquet tables; barnwood accent tables; flatware, glassware, and china; and linens and napkins in your choice of color. The venue has its own in-house catering and offers a wide selection of dishes and menus all prepared from scratch on site. Exquisite plated meals such as herb-seared Scottish salmon and filet mignon are sure to impress your guests. Vegetarian and vegan options are available and are nothing short of tantalizing. We had the most magical weekend we ever could have asked for at The Farmhouse. The food was fantastic, we received so many compliments on how delicious the hors d’oeuvres and entrees were. We had two specialty drinks that were also just as wonderful. The property is so beautiful and we had plenty of space to get ready and take photos before the day started. Our vendors were able to easily do what they needed to at the venue and everything was coordinated smoothly. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and made our special day better than we ever could have imagined. We could not have asked for a better experience and would 100% do it all again with The Farmhouse.

The Farmhouse was exactly what my husband and I envisioned for our big day! It is intimate with the most charming decor. The grounds and the inside of the venue are so beautiful and timeless. Anna was our coordinator and we wouldn’t of wanted it any other way, she was so professional and helpful, she was so prompt with her responses with all my various questions I had leading up to the big day she truly brought our vision to life. The staff also were so friendly and provided the best service the day of. We did the buffet style dinner and the food was phenomenal! And the drinks and bar service exceeded our expectations! We truly had the most perfect day and it was all thanks to the Farmhouse!!

We had a wonderful wedding at the Farmhouse! Anna was prompt and professional in our communications from the moment we contacted her months ago all the way through the wedding day itself. We've received lots of compliments from our guests on the food, the atmosphere & event space, and the attentiveness of the staff. And we couldn't agree more with that! They were really helpful start to finish with the setup, during the event, and afterwards! There's too many things to mention but just some things that come to mind: bringing us food while we did our rounds with guests; dealing with little kerfluffles; checking in with us throughout the event; and handling things in general while keeping us informed. Additionally, we had several guests with some specific dietary restrictions, and not only did the Farmhouse handle that for us, but we even heard from some of our guests that they've never encountered a place so organized and well prepared to handle their specific needs (without them having to call and explain things again).All around we had a wonderful day and Anna & her staff at the Farmhouse were a big part in making that happen!

The Farmhouse is fantastic! The food, beverages, ceremony space outside, and inside room were beautiful and put together so nicely. The staff is phenomenal- going above and beyond what I had expected!! Laura was our coordinator- she wrangled children, old people and make sure me and my husband had everything we needed. Our wedding was PERFECT all thanks to the amazing staff at The Farmhouse. From the day that we booked it, the staff was super attentive and answered all of our questions. Anna was our day-of-coordinator, she was so sweet and helped to make all of our wedding dreams come true. It's so amazing that The Farmhouse works with other vendors so that it really feels like a one stop shop, which helps to make things a little less stressful. And the food!! My guests are still raving about how great everything was! Overall, there is not a thing I would change about my wedding day, all thanks to Anna and the amazing staff. The food was amazing as well, we highly recommend the surf and turf and the bacon wrapped scallops! Our guests have been raving about the food since the wedding day. Not to mention that the staff was friendly and attentive. They knew everyone’s drink orders by the end of the night and did it all with a smile on their face. Booking The Farmhouse for our venue was the best decision we made in our planning process. While finding and booking a venue can be one of the most stressful parts of planning a wedding, the attentive and professional staff at The Farmhouse will make planning not only easy but ENJOYABLE! From touring the venue during an open house, to attending the tasting event, to the day itself, this venue exceeded our expectations at every turn. Laura, our planner, was communicative and professional throughout the process. She answered every one of our questions and provided us excellent guidance on how to create an event that was memorable and enjoyable for all. After watching her buzz around the day of our wedding taking care of EVERY detail, our family now simply refers to her as \"Wonder Woman.\" Both she and the staff made sure every facet of our wedding day was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Our guests raved about the quality of the service from every member of the staff. But the rave review did not stop there! We heard from numerous guests that the food, from the passed hors d'oeuvres to the entrees, were the BEST food they have ever had at a wedding. I will say, we have to agree. Finally, I am so thankful to have found such a beautiful venue that offered so many options for pictures. The ceremony site is gorgeous and green and the house itself provides a perfect atmosphere. I am shocked this venue is not booked years in advance but I will always be grateful to have celebrated our day at a venue that provided us service, a beautiful space, and delicious food all at an affordable price.

We booked The Farmhouse for our wedding on 6/4/22 and it was a spectacular day! It's a beautiful space for a ceremony and reception with ample indoor and outdoor space for guests to mingle. One of the best parts of booking The Farmhouse is the package they offer. For a per-head cost that is very reasonable, your cake, centerpieces, and even a free hotel room for the bride and groom are included (and more!). It took such a big burden off of us to find, book and pay for separate vendors. The food was delicious, although we did have trouble with one guest with allergies not receiving her meal until almost dessert time. They threw a tasting event months before our day where the venue was set up for a wedding and filled with other Farmhouse couples. Not only was this a fun event, but it showed us what the venue would look like filled with people. We got to taste most of the food options which helped us narrow down our menu. All the staff was attentive and kind during the day and leading up to it. I loved how they recommended vendors like our DJ who knew the equipment and space very well. They recently started offering add-on packages of signage and lawn games which is a great way to cut down on the amount of items you need to bring to the venue and purchase for what will most likely be a one-time use. I highly recommend The Farmhouse as a beautiful and affordable venue!

I mean, what can I say about my experience at The Farmhouse? We had a brunch wedding on 6/19/22 and it was a truly wonderful experience. My coordinator, Laura, was wonderful to work with. She was clear about what I could expect day of and worked with me ahead of time to make sure I knew what I needed to provide. She managed everything flawlessly on the day of, quickly resolving issues that popped up and making sure the groom and I had a wonderful time.The packages were priced fairly and the all-inclusive nature of the venue definitely took some stress off us. The only suggestion I'd make is to add more food options to the brunch package, we found it a tad bit limiting. Other than that, host your wedding here if you want to have a simple, low stress, well coordinated wedding.

Katie was very understanding from the beginning and worked to really understand what we wanted and helped us figure out the best path to get there. The team there is very busy (understandably so) and I was a little nervous that we would feel generic and rushed because of it, but the day of, the team's service well exceeded our expectations. Katie was proactive in anticipating things we might need, attentive if we did need anything, and extremely professional. (She also was wise in paying extra attention to the bride! haha) The whole night was beyond what we imagined and the setting, food, and service at the Farmhouse really made for a phenomenal celebration.

Because of their working relationships with other vendors, most everything was included in venue price which was extremely helpful and just downright awesome. We basically just had to find a dj and photographer! They set up all the decorations for us just how we wanted and took care of everything!!The food was fantastic, the service was wonderful and the whole day was dream come true! 10/10 would recommend!!

The venue had to many chair out for the ceremony with many chairs left opened. A table collapsed during my reception that should have never happened. My wedding coordinator left early without giving any knowledge to the couple and didn’t leave anyone to attend to the couple. They forgot to give us our wedding cake at the end of the night and had to come another day.

My wedding coordinator left early without giving any knowledge to the couple and didn’t leave anyone to attend to the couple. They forgot to give us our wedding cake at the end of the night and had to come another day.

We had our May 1st wedding at The Farmhouse and it was everything we had hoped for and more. Katie was our wedding coordinator and was open to answering any questions we had during the wedding planning process. She regularly kept in contact with us leading up to the event to ensure that everything was in order. The staff was also very attentive to our needs on the day of. We brought floral garlands to put on the pergola near the ceremony site and were told that we would have to arrange for someone arrive early to set it up. To our surprise, the pergola was beautifully done by the staff at the farmhouse and looked exactly like the picture. I would recommend this venue to any couple looking for an affordable wedding venue that includes most of the essentials. They include the cost of a wedding cake and floral table centerpieces if you work with their vendors. This is such a great value.

My husband and I had our dream wedding at The Farmhouse on 11/1/20! It is a very beautiful and affordable venue, I was very happy with everything that was included in the package. Our wedding coordinator was Anna and she was very helpful with any concerns and questions I had throughout the wedding planning process. The day of the wedding she was on top of everything making it run so smoothly. The rest of the staff were very polite and always there for anything we needed making sure my husband and I were enjoying ourselves. It ended up raining on our wedding day but the ceremony was easily moved inside and could not have been more perfect! The food was delicious too, we ended up having a buffet which had turkey with orange chutney sauce and london broil. My guests had so many compliments to give about the venue and it was such a fun day/night! The Farmhouse is definitely Delaware's hidden gem and I am so happy we decided on this venue. I could not have asked for a better wedding and highly recommend it!

They had wonderful communication and very responsive to emails( my millions of questions (: ). They made wedding planning for us fun and we appreciate all of their hard work in making our dream come to life. Our guests are still raving about the food and the grounds are absolutely beautiful for pictures. The all inclusive package made everything very affordable-they even include the wedding cake! Everything about our wedding experience was perfect and I highly recommend The Farmhouse to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

I loveddd our wedding we had at The Farmhouse! The food is delicious and they give you very large portions. I loved that everything was all inclusive. It took away the stress of trying to find vendors on your own. The staff had decorated the place so well! I'm giving three stars because guests were starting to leave and our favors (donuts) had not been put out. There were two tables in another room that were not told when important events were happening and had to wait a long time for their food. They seemed to be forgotten about. We had our wedding here this April and it was excellent. The venue is just beautiful and unique, not your typical ballroom that a lot of weddings take place (which is fine, just not my cup of tea). Anna was our coordinator and was awesome. The day went by so smooth without issues. Even the staff was very nice and took care of us (the bride and groom) by making sure we had drinks and food. When the groom and I went off to take pictures during cocktail hour, the staff came by with apps for us to eat! It was great! Food was hot when served to our guests and was very tasty. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how good the food was! We had a food truck come for our guests as our favors and The Farmhouse was very accommodating. The price was reasonable and the package included center pieces and a cake. Anna answered every one of my emails in a timely manner. The Farmhouse is just awesome!

All through the preparation the Farmhouse was amazing! They answered all of my questions in a VERY short time (with in 12 hours most of the time). It’s a wonderful venue for the fact it’s an “all inclusive”. They have food and beverage covered; linens and basic decorations are included as well as the cake and basic flower center pieces. With our very busy schedule they did a great job covering all bases for us or giving us great suggestions of where to go and who to book. There also aren’t ANY hidden costs! The food was amazing and my family cant stop raving about it! The wait staff was great in bringing us food out during photos (since the guests were enjoying cocktail hour). The bartenders were very personable and again my family was impressed by them. The most important thing to me,though, was that on the day of my wedding I was VERY ill. Laura found me pepto-Bismol and continued to check up on me through out the night. The only reason I gave four (I would give a 4.90 if I could) stars is for the fact they threw out my flowers by accident, due to miscommunication and forgot to put out our favors (no one missed them anyways just a waste of money) I asked to pick them up the next day, but when my mother in law went to go get them they had been thrown out.

Katie was our coordinator and she was wonderful with keeping everything on track and on schedule. We unfortunately had to have our ceremony inside due to rain but she did everything she could to still make our ceremony perfect inside and helped us convert our decorations from outside to inside. They also provide the cake and center pieces in their prices per person which are extremely reasonable. My husband and I feel like we hit the jackpot with The Farmhouse! We absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a great place for a special occasion!

From our first look we knew the space at The Farmhouse was the right place for our wedding. Katie and Lauren made sure we were signed up for the next tasting and followed up with all the details needed. The food at the first tasting was good but even better the night of, keep that in mind! Throughout our planning they were very responsive to questions and always followed up promptly. As we got closer and closer they continued to check in on details and had all her notes available for us to review. On the day Katie was on top of every detail, working right with the DJ and Photographer. The staff hired for the evening were very professional also. Bottom line, we were completely satisfied by The Farmhouse and would definitely recommend to anyone!

Planning a wedding in my hometown of Delaware from California (and marrying a British Australian who was living in Sydney through the planning phase) could have been the most stressful experience ever. It was very important to find a venue we loved but also would make things really easy especially since we had to pick the venue SIGHT UNSEEN!Katie and The Farmhouse were just FANTASTIC! She was able to fulfill every request we had and helped come up with ideas and options for what we could do to make our wedding personalized and reflect us. The Farmhouse has all-inclusive packages which just makes wedding planning simple and easy. Belak Flowers and Desserts by Dana were spectacular and made our flowers, cake and dessert bar shine.Katie was super helpful and patient throughout the planning and kept up with my very OCD detailed asks. She was always available, very responsive and incredibly detailed oriented - which gives you such confidence in the venue and the people there - especially since I asked a ton of questions (especially on how certain décor pieces would work and all our small touches).On the Wedding Day, the venue was breathtaking. If you ever need to pick a venue blindly…you can feel comfortable that The Farmhouse is the perfect place. Beautiful outdoor space for our ceremony, outdoor deck space, and lots of rooms throughout the house itself. And again, Katie was amazing, making sure everything we executed to perfection. She was also fantastic checking in on us and making sure we had food and drinks. Not only is it beautiful and comfortable, but also the service we received was exceptional! We worked with Laura, who was INCREDIBLE! Whether you are a couple who knows exactly what you want or one who will know what they want when they see it, your wedding is in EXCELLENT hands. Laura was very helpful with providing choices and really listening to what was important to us. She also gave us invaluable guidance about our choices. I always felt she welcomed my emails and calls; I never felt like a bother and she always devoted her full attention to my needs. I didn't have to worry about a thing, as I knew Laura was thinking of EVERYTHING. I also greatly appreciated Laura being the \"enforcer\" the day of the wedding. I was able to completely enjoy myself, as she handled all guest questions and concerns. Best of all, she did so with kindness and professionalism, so ALL our guests RAVED about the setting and service!! We can never thank Laura and her staff enough for all they did for us!

Working with The Farmhouse made planning our reception very simple! The woman working with us communicated clearly and promptly and made sure the preparations were in place so that we and our guests were able to relax and celebrate on the day of the event. Our guests enjoyed the space, and we received many compliments about the venue. The only drawback was that we had no choice but to use the flower vendor with whom they are contracted (for centerpieces only). They are, though, very dedicated to making sure your event is everything you envision. All in all, we were extremely pleased with our experience there!

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony/reception at the Farmhouse on 5/28/2016. The venue and grounds are absolutely stunning and the management team is a breeze to work with! Katie was our wedding coordinator and was an amazing resource throughout the entire process and day of the event. My father in law still talks about how efficient and helpful she was whenever someone brings up our wedding day. Due to the availability of dates, we ended up having our wedding just 3 months after our engagement, and with The Farmhouse's help it looked like we had been planning for well over a year!I've never been the type to dream about my wedding day and the packages that The Farmhouse offers allowed us not to get stressed over the details but still personalize our special day for our tastes. The landscaping of the grounds is breath-taking and all the greenery was the perfect background for our ceremony. The bridal \"getting ready\" suite is a bit on the smaller size, but we didn't do onsite hair/makeup so that wasn't a big deal for us.I can't imagine another venue making the process any easier without sacrificing quality (the coffee station + dessert trays were great touches). Even our DJ loved the forethought of the in-house sound system that The Farmhouse had in place. I will say that the reception space is better for smaller groups (our wedding was ~115). Any more and we would have had to seat additional people in a separate room which would have been uncomfortable/could potentially cause friction in my opinion. The food was also very good. I'm used to wedding food not being of the best quality, just because of the mass production of the meals, but our meals were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Farmhouse was the perfect fit for me and my husband, and I can't imagine anyone regretting their decision to go with them.

I want to give the Farmhouse 10 stars. Everything about our day was perfect. Laura was an absolute dream- she is so easygoing yet organized. She dealt with me going to every open house and asking thousands of questions and was always so friendly and pleasant. The food is amazing, the grounds are perfect- everything is top notch. My guest raved about everything. We had an absolutely perfect day and I couldn't have asked for more.

Our coordinator, part of the package, handled all of the details with great expertise on our day and leading up to our day. Laura was so down-to-earth and we really got along. She was matter of fact about what really wouldn't work and excited for our new ideas. The food was phenomenal!!!!! It is catered in-house and part of the package. There is so much more to gush about but the greatest compliment we received was that our guests loved The Farmhouse too! Everyone commented on how it is a hidden gem. We booked this venue in November 2014 for our September 2015 wedding. We had 90 people, and held the ceremony and reception here. We used Mary Elizabeth for flowers, and OHS entertainment for our DJ.\r It has a beautiful inside, as well as two pretty options for the ceremony outside. Laura and Katie worked with us and always were quick to answer any questions or concerns. The day of the wedding, Laura did an AWESOME job running things and keeping us on schedule, and probably tons of other things that I never even knew about. It went off without any issues. The food was great (all the guests were and have been telling us, too), the bartenders were quick, and everything was perfect. \r\rIf you are looking for a venue in Delaware, this is the one to use. In the costs, they include: a cake, centerpieces, table settings and covers, all set up and break down of everything, petals down the aisle, and other stuff too depending on which meal options you choose. We planned this remotely while living in Richmond, Virginia. We took a couple of trips up there, but it was incredibly easy to organize everything since they vendors work together so well (cake, dj, farmhouse). \r\rThanks Laura and Katie (and the rest of the staff too!)

We had approximately 140 guests and everyone praised the venue, the food, and the entire experience as being one of the best they've had! The staff was extremely professional, the food was fantastic, and the venue is so romantic and perfect for a wedding! They were able to present my daughter's vision perfectly! The Farmhouse itself is settled on picturesque grounds which made for so many picture taking opportunities! The outdoor space for the wedding was beautiful! \rThe owner of this venue is very professional and knows what brides today are looking for. Laura worked with us on every detail--and even some we hadn't thought of! The bridal suite is a perfect space for putting on the final touches! This venue is a welcome change from the large halls with high ceilings of today. It offers a more intimate and romantic setting that made everyone feel a part of the festivities. We had plenty of room for dancing the night away!!\r

I had my wedding at The Farmhouse, and I would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a rustic, beautiful ceremony and reception without breaking the bank. The grounds are lush and green, the facility is quaint with lots of charm, with both indoor and outdoor seating and an outdoor bar. We had great weather so this was a real plus. But I think what sets the Farmhouse apart from the rest is the excellent management and service. Katie was hands on throughout the entire experience and really gave my husband and I the exact wedding we described. The food was really good, and I have to say that I do not normally like wedding food at all. The salads, and entree's were fresh and seasoned well(we had the \"Cocktail Reception\"...do not misunderstand, this does not just mean hors d'oevres. It is a more laid back reception where after stationary and butlered hors d'oevres were served during cocktail hour, there are stations set up so people can eat when and what they want. But it's not a buffet either. And also the bars were open for then entire reception). This is also a very inclusive facility. The centerpieces, wedding cake, food, alcohol, chairs etc...were all included in the price per head, which is really reasonable. I cannot tell you how frustrating it was going to venues who wanted to charge me per plate, per chair, per place setting. All in all a great place, for a great price and I had a beautiful, simple, fun wedding at this venue.

There was extensive contact throughout the planning process and all questions and concerns were handled promptly. \r\rTheir packages have inclusions (centerpieces, cake, etc.) that other local venues charge extra for and their overall prices are below market average without sacrificing quality.\r \rDuring our ceremony we had an issue with one of the preferred vendors. This issue was strictly between us and the 3rd party vendor and was in no way the fault or responsibility of the Farmhouse. Laura went above and beyond and took it upon herself to directly refund the money that this vendor owed us. They have since stopped doing business with this vendor. The Farmhouse clearly prides itself on its reputation.\r\rWe highly recommend The Farmhouse, you won't be disappointed.

The grounds were impeccable and there were blooming flowers and plants everywhere! My coordinators Laura and Katie were so helpful throughout the entire planning process and were irreplaceable during my special day. The Farmhouse staff was so attentive and really made all of my guests feel at home. And the food... I wish I could eat their food every night!! Many of my guests are still talking about how delicious it was - especially the shrimp lejon and orangewood smoked turkey. We were married at The Farmhouse on June 28th, 2014. Laura, the site coordinator, did an incredible job which allowed our big day to run smoothly. Our guests raved about the outdoor patio and bar and beautiful views. Their very inclusive package left little for us to worry about. I cannot say enough about what a great experience our wedding was. I wish The Farmhouse much success and highly recommend them to those looking for an excellent venue.

The Farmhouse was the perfect venue for our wedding. I am so glad we chose to have our wedding there! Katie was attentive to our needs and very thorough. The whole night was seamless and everyone was complimenting the service and food. The venue was gorgeous - again I couldn't have been happier to have chosen the Farmhouse.

My new husband and I just had our June wedding at The Farmhouse and we were incredibly happy with our day! The rustic, romantic indoor/outdoor setting was exactly what we were looking for. Their prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food, service, and staff. Also, several regional venders adore The Farmhouse, and may even offer a discount just because. Their on-site staff for the wedding itself was professional, friendly, and responsive; if anything went wrong on our day, we were completely unaware! They are in the process of changing management, so there was some funkiness with communication regarding our payments, but you couldn't ask to work with friendlier people. We would highly recommend The Farmhouse to any brides in the area (or out of the area - we live in Colorado).

I loved The Farmhouse. Every single thing went perfect. It was an outside ceremony and recp on the same location. The staff there was so nice and everyone had a great time and said the food was so good!

I loved having my wedding at The Farmhouse. The all-in price made everything much easier for me - they took care of all the vendors. The building is rated for 175 people, but it felt perfect for our wedding of 100. It was almost a month ago and I still have people telling what a good time they had! My only complaint? When the flowers arrived, one of the staff attempted to come in our closed dressing room without knocking (and almost got quite a show!) Overall - wouldn't want to get married anywhere else!
