The Pros:- a totally private space with indoor and outdoor areas, love that there's flexibility for where you can have your set ups for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. the ficus bushes that surround the courtyard and high and make for a super private ceremony, we didn't have the sun in our eyes or any outside noise whatsoever and they were a great backdrop for photos, too. -  gorgeous furniture, beautiful color palette, and stunning stained glass all meant we could keep decorations to a true minimum, including flowers - definitely saved on budget in those areas- kevin and shauna were both phenomenal to work with. if they didnt respond right away it was because they were talking to their team to get the absolute best responses for us... my husband and I are quite particular humans with a pretty intense sense of detail, and we pay attention to everything. kevin and shauna were extremely helpful as we asked every question and went over every detail- amazing food. SO MANY people came up to us and our parents during and after our wedding to tell us how spectacular the food was. we went to a group tasting and actually weren't blown away, so kevin and chef worked with us to help us custom design a menu we were happy with, have a stunning tasting, and ultimately land on a menu everyone loved- family style - I really didn't want plated, my husband didn't want buffet, so having family style platters where everyone could have as much steak or chicken as they wanted, taste everything and share was so fun and very ideal for us and our guests - even though we were tied to their catering, they were flexible to let us bring in our own late night tacos and krispie kreme donuts (we had to have our coordinator assemble the wall but outside dessert was also allowed)The Cons- price. we went way above ideal budget on both location and catering, there's just no other way to say it: this place is pricey.- check your contracts! there were lots of things in our contract we needed to adjust, and several instances where we had to refer back to our contract to confirm pricing and what we were/weren't entitled to. not to say that they will nickel and dime you, but at the end of they day they're a business who exists to make money and that was evident on several occasions.- lack of passed apps - a few friends mentioned they didn't get a single passed app during cocktail hour, which for the price we paid isn't ideal. somehow the waiters maybe didn't make it into the rest of the crowd? unclear, but definitely a bummer Reviewed on 19-12-2023

We greatly enjoyed our experience with Kevin and his staff at The Fig House! The venue itself gorgeous, perfect for pictures and makes you feel like you’re in a countryside villa while still being in the heart of LA. The food provided by roomforty is delicious! Kevin and his staff were such a joy to work with! They were supportive, professional and made us feel that they truly cared about us as a couple; wanting our day to be as perfect as we wanted it. We dealt with a lot of scheduling changes and The Fig House was accommodating and understanding. Communication was open and clear, and always punctual. We always felt supported and are extremely grateful and appreciative of our experience with The Fig House! Reviewed on 23-09-2023

The Fig House was the most beautiful venue. When my husband and I first visited, we knew we had to book the place from how picturesque it looked. This really helped us minimize the amount of decor as well since the venue can speak for itself. The indoor-outdoor vibes were perfection and helped separate the ceremony from the reception. The catering also deserves its own shoutout. We wanted to have multi-cultural foods and was initially looking for venues that would allow outside catering. On our first visit, we met the chef, who was open to cooking our home recipes and making sure we got what we wanted. Their flexibility and willingness to try outside their menu was admirable and everyone really enjoyed the food. We are so happy we found this venue! Reviewed on 20-09-2023

My husband, Justin, and I got married at The Fig House earlier this year. This venue is fantastic, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Kevin, our event coordinator, was communicative, professional, and helpful at every point and made us feel incredibly supported and comfortable throughout the planning process. The team was there to provide helpful suggestions when we needed guidance and was more than happy to accommodate any special requests we needed. On our wedding day, we felt supported and truly cared for throughout the entire day. We could tell the whole team cared about making our experience the best it possibly could be - and it absolutely paid off. The food and bar setup were fabulous -- we are still receiving compliments on how delicious everything was more than a month after the wedding! The indoor-outdoor spaces the venue offers are stunning with fun pops of color that look great in photos. The space is as customizable as you'd like, but we appreciated that there wasn't much we needed to add in terms of decor because it was already so pretty on its own. We couldn't be happier with our choice and would recommend it to anyone on the hunt for a great LA venue! Reviewed on 06-07-2023

Shauna was a joy to work with in the beginning and we felt right at home on our first visit. Kevin was great to work with as well and was on top of all the logistics from the start. Alli Rock(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-10-2022 I truly, completely, absolutely cannot recommend the Fig House more highly. This one venue checks so many impossible boxes. Are you looking for a beautiful indoor/outdoor space with a genuine focus on truly good food? Stop reading and run-do-not-walk to the Fig House. We really wanted to find a venue that had a beautiful outdoor space for a ceremony but that also had an indoor space more unique than your standard ‘hotel ballroom,’ and the Fig House over-delivers on both - the outdoor garden is truly beautiful and the indoor space with its teal walls and gorgeous stained glass is a funky art deco dreamland. It is compact without feeling small - easy to navigate and handicap accessible, and it allows for a great flow during your event, plus they have really colorful lounge furniture that they let you move around (plus air conditioning, plus nice bathrooms, the list goes on). Where this venue really goes above and beyond is the food - Room Forty catering and Pharmacie bar set out very intentionally to be a cut above typical ‘event catering’ and truly they are LA 100 Best Restaurants level. If food is important to you, I cannot stress enough that this is your venue!!! Wedding planning is a stressful process, but communicating with the team at the Fig House (Leti, Kevin, Shauna) was an absolute breeze. They say that they are happy to help you customize the food menu and they are not lying - we threw a lot of crazy ideas at them and they responded to all of them with not only professionalism but such genuine enthusiasm and passion. I am pretty sure I researched every single venue in the SoCal area, and I could not be happier that we went with the Fig House. It made our day so memorable and magical. And I’m not kidding about the food. Seriously. It’s so good!! Reviewed on 31-12-2022
Blaire Fulcher(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-09-2022 I have nothing but great things to say about this venue. We went to tour the venue because of how colorful/beautiful the pictures were online. We wanted a venue that was beautiful on its own without having to add a ton of decorations/florals. What we didn't expect was all the amazing things the venue would offer. Their catering service is one of the best we have ever had. Our guests are still commenting on how great the food was. Even the DJ made a point to tell us it was the best food he had ever had at a wedding. The staff was also amazing. They were attentive and fast to answer any questions we had. We are extremely grateful to have found this venue and highly recommend this venue to anyone looking in the LA area. Reviewed on 05-10-2022
Ariel Pittman(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-06-2022 My husband an I hosted our wedding at the Fig House in June 2022. We selected this venue for its location, inclusivity, style, and incredible handicap accessibility (there are NO stairs, elevation changes, or tight passages in the entire place). The experience of planning our wedding here was pretty good - We worked with Leti who was, in general, quick to respond, professional, and very experienced with hosting weddings. She also worked with us to make sure we were getting the event we wanted within our budget and offered a couple of key discounts for decisiveness, which we greatly appreciated!! Overall, we would have preferred more communication and a more collaborative approach where we had more conversations about the vibe we were trying to create, what all the options are, etc. etc. It basically felt like you tour, ask a few questions, book, do a tasting, give a guest count, have one meeting...and then it's your wedding! But, this is a pretty minor gripe and I am assuming that the terseness or lack of options presented at times represents the venue coordinators' understanding of budgetary limitations and not wanting to set expectations that can't be met within the stated budget. In the end, our wedding was beautiful and basically perfect and we were very, very happy with our choice of venue and would recommend the Fig House to others planning similarly major events. Our single meaningful complaint is that on the day of our wedding, Leti was no where to be found and had not communicated to us nor to our coordinator that she would not be on site. We had no direct contact or previous introduction to the event lead for the venue. Because of this, there were some hiccups with our arrival and the arrival of our vendors in the very short set-up time that caused the only major stress of what was otherwise a pretty perfect day. Our guests also noted that many of the servers and other staff seemed new to the venue, so some elements of service were not as smooth as they should have been, but that this did not meaningfully detract from their experience.Pros:- Venue is all inclusive with great in house catering and bar service- Handicap friendly- Colorful, well designed, has lots of lounge furniture to set up cute vignettes for lounging, and photographs beautifully- Food and drinks are fantastic- Great venue for an old Hollywood, mid-century, colorful-glam vibe- Communication is solid, but not amazing- Costs are completely reasonable when compared to other venues with similar aesthetics, especially as many of those DO NOT include furniture, tableware, catering, and bar in house - Having these elements included is absolutely key to reducing stress in planning!Cons:- Not one single piece of art or mirror in the entire place was hanging straight on any of our visits or on the day of the wedding and this lack of attention to details applies to the care and cleanliness of all of the cool vintage furniture pieces as well. If I worked here, I'd have someone steaming, lint-rolling, magic-erasing, and straightening pictures before EVERY event. These details matter A LOT.- Valet parking over-priced - we barely used it as most guests used car services, but there is no flexibility on this and it is tied to your guest count Reviewed on 16-07-2022
Savannah Pleasant(other)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-02-2022 Mediocre at best. My sister was pretty distraught at her wedding. Their main ceremony space is a parking lot. My sister’s wedding vows were interrupted construction noises and loud polka music. Reviewed on 26-04-2022
Sierra Wood(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-08-2021 My husband and I got married at The Fig House Aug 2021. I researched every venue imaginable in LA, Malibu, and South Bay, and we landed on the Fig House and wouldn't have it any other way! Here's why: - The venue has an amazing color pallette and lots of cool furniture to work with. - They are a one stop shop for catering and alcohol- Their food presentation is beautiful and one of a kind. We did their \"activation station\" where a chef \"paints\" on a white table and builds out the appetizer of your choosing. Guests can enjoy watching their appetizer get created and eat what looks like a work of art! Guests LOVED this and were all talking about how beautiful it was! We also got their \"nachos in the gutter\" which was exactly what it sounds like... a \"rain gutter\" filled with nachos that is carried out to the dance floor as a late night snack! - They have a \"secret\" room you can choose to use for a whiskey tasting, fortune teller, cigar roller, etc. We did tarot card reading in there and it was a huge hit! - They brought us our cocktails and all of our apps after the ceremony so we could enjoy them and have a moment alone, which was so sweet. - Staff was very responsive and flexible working with some of our specific ideas. We worked with Leti and she was amazing! Guest raved about the unique look and the delicious food! Seriously, who mentions the food at a wedding? It's usually so bland and forgettable, but with Fig House that is not the case. The only downside is that you have to use their valet service and it is very expensive. It's a flat fee, even though we only had a handful of guests who were driving. I wish they were more open to negotiating a per-car rate. If I were to do it all over again, I'd definitely choose Fig House for my wedding venue. Reviewed on 24-08-2021
