The Fillmore on Central is a historic wedding venue located in Fillmore, CA. Nestled between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara in Ventura County’s Heritage Valley, this idyllic town features beautiful architecture and rich agricultural history. The venue offers a picturesque backdrop for romantic wedding celebrations and boasts Spanish architecture, vibrant gardens, and elegantly-appointed event spaces.
The Fillmore on Central was established in the 1920s as the community’s First Presbyterian Church. It was designed in the quintessential Mission style of architecture popular throughout Southern California. The town was founded by Spanish explorers in the 18th century, and Spanish architectural influences were prominent when the area was developed. The Mediterranean style is showcased in the building’s tiled roof, courtyard, and bell tower. While the building was originally designed as a church, it later served as a school for many years before becoming a special event venue. The venue underwent renovations in 2020 to preserve its historic elements and ensure the building can be enjoyed for many more centuries.
The Fillmore on Central boasts 20,000 square feet of unforgettable event space to suit indoor and outdoor weddings. You can choose to tie the knot in the courtyard with the whitewashed building as your backdrop or celebrate in The Sanctuary. You can customize each space to suit your tastes and event color scheme. If you host your wedding on a weekend (Friday - Sunday), you will exclusive access to the venue on your selected date. It is spacious enough to accommodate up to 500 of your nearest and dearest. The venue provides a variety of wedding essentials including dining tables, a dance floor, and customizable catering services.
My husband and I recently tied the knot at the Fillmore on Central, and I cannot express how absolutely perfect our wedding day was. The venue, located at Central, exceeded our expectations in every possible way. What set it apart for us was the infusion of Spanish accents and details, which added a touch of romance and elegance to our celebration. Surprisingly, all of this came at a fraction of the cost we were quoted by other venues in Santa Barbara. The garden area, where we held our ceremony, was enchanting. The lush greenery and carefully curated Spanish-inspired elements created a picturesque backdrop for our vows. The transition to the indoor reception space was seamless, and the ambiance inside was equally captivating. We opted for the Bride and Groom suite, and it was worth every penny. Having a dedicated space to relax and get ready with our wedding party without any stress was a game-changer.The venue's inherent beauty meant that we didn't need much decor. We added a few flowers and candles to enhance the romantic atmosphere, but the Fillmore on Central stands out on its own. Our guests, many of whom traveled from the East Coast, were captivated by the breathtaking surroundings of mountains that enveloped the venue. We chose to have our wedding in May, and luck was on our side with perfect weather. Opting for a Friday wedding with 130 guests, we were delighted with the services provided by Command Catering. The appetizers and pasta were exceptional, and our guests continued to rave about the food long after the celebration.Bianca, the site representative, deserves special mention. She was an absolute joy to work with. From helping with intricate details to ensuring the smooth flow of events on the big day, Bianca's professionalism and sweetness were invaluable. Her periodic check-ins reflected a commitment to making our day as seamless and memorable as possible. What truly sets the Fillmore on Central apart is its all-inclusive nature without exorbitant extra fees. It had everything we desired and more. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone seeking a beautiful, Spanish-inspired backdrop for their wedding. Thank you, Bianca, and thank you, Fillmore on Central, for making our special day truly magical. Reviewed on 29-12-2023

I was introduced to The Fillmore venue by Bianca, and had my wedding there... it was PERFECT! I really liked how there's an outside and inside to the venue. The outside was great for pictures and for our cocktail hour which was one of my favorite parts of the day. There was ample room inside for my 280 guest and it didn't need much decorating since it's already beautiful as is. My guest were impressed by the venue, food and the service provided. Also my husband and I loved that the venue allowed us to provide our own alcohol and have a live band.Bianca was helpful, easy to reach and answered all my questions promptly I would totally recommend her and the venue to my loved ones.
