Rustic Chic Restaurant, Bar and Event Space
The Foundry- Table & Tap is a restaurant wedding venue located in Pittsburgh, PA. A modern eatery specializing in New American fare and craft beers, this space is the perfect place for engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, or wedding receptions. Sibling duo Andrew Stackiewicz and Michelle Bugg founded the restaurant out of a desire to make their lifelong dream of owning a business together a reality. Their vision was to create an upscale brewery where people could eat, drink, and be merry in a trendy yet unpretentious setting. The Foundry boasts an industrial-chic atmosphere, with red brick walls, exposed light fixtures, and sleek, simple furniture. Polished wood floors and large chalkboard walls make the space warm and inviting. It also has a large outdoor patio with comfortable furniture and shady trees if you want to host your event outside. The Foundry- Table & Tap is available to be booked for private events of all kinds. You can choose to host your event in the private dining room, front bar, main dining room, or the outdoor patio, depending on the size of your party. They can accommodate up to 250 guests and can customize the menu to best suit your needs. Food can be served as passed hors d'oeuvres, a buffet, or a plated meal, and their full bar is available to operate either as a cash or open bar. They specialize in elevated comfort-food classics, such as pulled pork sandwiches, pan-fried crab cakes, and grilled steaks, and they can also accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free guests. If you have a special request, the executive chef is happy to incorporate it into the menu so that you and your guests can enjoy a personalized dining experience.

We had our wedding (ceremony + reception) at The Foundry, and we would absolutely recommend it! We had about 100 people, so we had to split seating between the event room and the bar, which was no problem and actually fun for our vibe - a little less traditional, cozy, and encouraging people to move around and mingle. We also had access to a portion of the patio that led to the river walk, which was perfect to step out for air. It was a beautiful space for a more relaxed fall wedding. The staff was WONDERFUL - everyone was so sweet and was really on top of things! We thought staff would just keep the buffet full and work at the bar, but they also went around checking with everyone for drinks, including guests that went outside to the patio area. We were so impressed! Several guests have said this was the best wedding food they've ever had. Rachel, the venue coordinator, was very easy to work with and flexible with our questions and ideas. Sometimes, it takes her a little bit to respond to emails, but she's very thorough if you're patient. She also made an amazing floor layout. We do recommend having an event/day of coordinator on your end or someone to help with your setup, because you won't have access to the space until a few hours before your event, which was not an issue for us but is something to consider when booking. We were thrilled with everything The Foundry did and have already recommended them to others for their events!

My fiance and I just planned a wedding shower with about 75 guests at The Foundry and I cannot say enough good things about Rachel (the events manager) and the rest of the staff. Rachel was extremely accommodating and attentive to all of my needs via email and completely handled the delivery of a champagne wall rental we had for the shower with that vendor without me needing to be involved at all. She was also attentive to me throughout the event, ensuring I had everything I needed and that everything was running smoothly and my expectations were being met. We received so many compliments on all of the food we had for our guests, especially the prime rib carving station and buffalo chicken sliders. Our guests were also extremely impressed with the event room we used and the attentiveness of the staff! Waitstaff was extremely attentive taking our drink orders and bringing them into the cocktail-style event where everyone was up and moving around. I would recommend anyone have an event here!!

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this venue for any type of event (shower or reception). The event manager is unprofessional and lacks every skill you’d look for in an event manager. She provides no guidance or collaboration and is not friendly via email or in person. When we visited the venue prior to the event she barely spoke to us and acted as though we were a huge inconvenience to her. The day of our shower she spoke to us three times in a 3.5 hour time span. She did not greet us or run through the day’s events with us. The only time she interacted with us was to remind us that we weren’t allowed confetti balloons (we had five, most of which were in boxes and got charged $100), that we’d have to pay $30 to have an 8-inch cake cut (on top of the $2 per person outside dessert fee we paid) and to give us the final bill. While the confetti balloons were part of the contract, all she said to us is per your contract no confetti balloons. We had 1 hour to set up and we were scrambling, had she kindly reminded us of the $100 fee we would have removed the five balloons. Instead she just added it to our bill. She was also outside on her phone most of the event. She claimed she was speaking to other clients (she never once spoke to us on the phone) or restaurant managers but the short time we were there for our event should have been blocked for us, not for her to be on her phone. The servers the day of were wonderful but the food was mediocre. Stay away from this venue!

I cannot recommend The Foundry enough for anything wedding related. We had our ceremony and reception in the back areas of The Foundry. We had approximately 120 people. Everyone was raving about the food. The staff was amazing as well. They were super accommodating for set up. We even added a brunch the next morning on very short notice and it was amazing. It was a night I will always remember.

If you're looking to use The Foundry Table & Tap to host your upcoming private event, I cannot praise them enough! We had approximately 70 people hosted in the private dining room for our wedding reception. The servers were outstanding and went above and beyond to make sure our guests were well taken care of. The food was excellent. We chose to do buffet style with a cocktail hour beforehand. Everyone raved about the appetizers and dishes we chose for our meal. Their main dining room was full of other customers as well, but you couldn't tell because the quality of our service never suffered. Andrew and Michelle were an absolute pleasure to work with and made everything so easy from start to finish. Super responsive to emails and questions we had throughout the planning process. Their flexibility when it came to decorating and cleaning up after was so incredible and helped decrease the amount of stress I had leading up to the event. Beyond happy with how our event turned out and highly suggest them for your event!

We had our Engagement party (in lieu of a bridal shower) at the Foundry last June. From the menu planning to setting up the day of, the staff at the Foundry were incredible. Andrew was the primary contact for us. He helped us pick our menu selection (the salmon and creamed cauliflower were a hit with all who attended), as well as coordinate the open bar (the foundry offers a few bar set ups, including cash bar, drink tickets, and limits). Don't hesitate to consider them for an event for 50+ attendees. We had 55 for a sit down event and there was plenty of room for more.
