A 50-foot white marble bar, an industrial raftered high ceiling, pearly white marble floors, large crystal chandeliers, and an exquisite Bridal Suite make this venue a truly unforgettable setting. You and your guests can dine and dance the night away in this spectacular ballroom. The Gala 417 hosts single-faith, multi-faith, and non-religious wedding ceremonies as well as elopements, civil unions, commitment ceremonies, vow renewals, and second weddings. This venue also readily accommodates rehearsal dinners, cocktail hours, and receptions. All wedding packages include exclusive use of the venue for your wedding day and the services of a day-of wedding coordinator. Additionally, you can expect complete event setup and teardown, event rentals, complimentary cake cutting, and a complimentary menu tasting session. I got married at the Gala on 12/15/2023, and we couldn’t have chosen a better venue for our wedding. We did have hiccups **not because of the Gala AT ALL** but when they saw the hiccups, Lindsey/ Mariah/ the Gala Girls had solutions at every turn. They went as far to grab a cake from the store for us when our cake vendor had our order slip through the cracks. And guess what? Our guests didn’t even notice! Mariah/ the staff were still able to place our cake toppers on top and set it up beautifully. Thank you for making sure the day was memorable, in a positive way, and caring for our wedding like it would have been your own!

I got married at the Gala on 12/15/2023, and we couldn’t have chosen a better venue for our wedding. We did have hiccups **not because of the Gala AT ALL** but when they saw the hiccups, Lindsey/ Mariah/ the Gala Girls had solutions at every turn. Although i did tour the facility for my own wedding, before I could decide, I attended another wedding here which quickly made me change my mind!!! I would never recommend this place for more than 50 people for wedding and ceremony. For the costs, i was shocked that the staff were dirty, dingy, and raggedy as if they hired them right off of craigslist the same day. There clothing and shoes old and tattered!! This same staff agreed with us about the overpriced drinks at the bar to include charging several dollars for a cup of Arizona Tea from the grocery store. One fo the servers thought it was funny to joke to us that the bride and dgroom mustve couldnt affor anything more because \"this was all they had\" The appetizers were cold an unappetizing anyway! The crab cakes were really good though, even cold.. The rest of the food was Ok but it was also barely warm. We were starving after waiting after the ceremony for them to flip the room. This place is far too small to attempt flipping with more than 50 people comfortably and even that is a stretch! Guests had to park and walk through the dirt/rocks to get to the building which was annoying!!l very beautiful, over priced, not valuable

We chose the Gala 417 as our wedding venue. This was the first and only venue we toured, as we fell in love with it during our tour and knew immediately it was the one for us. All of the Gala 417 staff were so professional, communicative, and helpful every step of the way! Because of this, I barely felt any stress during the wedding planning process. Any questions I had during the planning process were answered immediately. They have a variety of food and beverage packages to fit many budgets and it is so convenient that is done in house. They listened to everything we wanted in terms of decoration placement, wedding day timeline, etc and made it all happen.Everything just went so smoothly and perfectly during the planning process and wedding day. We can’t thank them enough for making our wedding dreams come true! It was truly the most perfect day. We 100% recommend this venue and are soooo happy we chose them!

This was by far the prettiest venue that we have seen in Virginia Beach. The staff walked us though the entire process, even when we had wedding jitters. The catering offered was fantastic and there were no complaints from any of our guests! At the end of the wedding they even packed us a plate to go and loaded it in our Bentley rental, offered by The Gala 417!This venue offered so many wonderful items to rent! This venue from start to finish was a dream come true. The staff made you feel special and helped out when help was needed. We cannot thank The Gala 417 enough in creating the most perfect day!

I don't think I could have found a better venue for our wedding! Not only is the location beautiful, but the space is as well. You can make any wedding vision come true here. The Gala 417 team are also basically miracle workers. From planning, to catering, to timeline, to design, they were there every step of the way. Very responsive and extremely helpful.You do have to use in-house catering, but don't fret because their food is amazing! We got to choose from multiple dishes to try out during our catering meeting. And it was pretty customizable given all the choices you have. We also had open full bar for our guests (and a specialty cocktail of the night) and the bartenders kept our guests hydrate and having fun all night!Jackie is someone I need to give special thanks to because she helped me out so much with planning, decor, rentals, and timeline. She was an invaluable source of information and even met with me outside of the pre-scheduled meetings to hash out extra details. The day of the wedding went so smoothly. Everything was so organized. Any small special requests the day of were handled quickly (they helped me adjust an issue with my florals). The ceremony to dinner flip was efficient and beautifully executed.It was an amazing night, more than we could've asked for, and The Gala 417 made it happen.

I don't think I could have found a better venue for our wedding! Not only is the location beautiful, but the space is as well. You can make any wedding vision come true here. Absolute perfection is the best way to sum up our wedding experience with The Gala 417! For starters, The Gala 417 is absolutely exquisite! The moment you walk in the doors the Gala takes your breath away. The beautiful chandeliers, the pristine white marble floor, the elegant bar, and the bridal suite are just a few of the Gala’s incredible aesthetics. Thinking back through wedding planning and our wedding day what made the biggest impression on us was the Gala Girls. Jackie was the first person I met at the Gala in October 2021 and the impression she made on me from day 1 and throughout our planning process will always remain forever in my heart. I never had a worry in the world because of her. Sarah was the perfect Gala Girl to lead our rehearsal and to have there on our wedding day. She was sweet, funny, kind, respectful, and could keep my groom, myself, and our wedding party on track. Not an easy feat to say the least. Jackie and the rest of the Gala Girls went above and beyond and took care of anything and everything we needed during our big day. We never had to worry about anything on our wedding day which was the best feeling in the world! Our family and friends were blown away by every single staff member on our wedding night. They were all treated with professionalism and care. Those qualities are rare to find these days. I will close with this. Many wedding blogs and/or groups say don’t expect your wedding to be perfect, there will be hiccups just make sure to embrace them. My now husband and I can say, without hesitation, that our wedding day was perfect! It was perfect in every way because of the Gala Girls. Our hearts are so full because we had the most memorable day of our lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

This review is beyond overdue. I could write a million reasons why I chose the Gala 417 as my venue but I will try to keep this as short and simple as possible. I wanted a venue that provided more than \"just the rental space.\" The day I toured the Gala after my knowledge of everything their venue package had to offer, I knew it was the venue for me. It is breathtakingly beautiful complete with stunning huge windows, natural sunlight, gorgeous chandeliers and finished off with pearly white shiny flooring. The bar area is a statement piece all in itself. It is classy without being overdone. Aside from the physical appearance of the Gala, the venue packages give you SO much for your money!! There is no other venue in the Hampton Roads area that offered even close to what the Gala has available. Above everything, it's the staff and owner (Amberly) who struck a huge chord from the beginning to the very end. You can tell this group has a passion for what they do and they made me feel like the most beautiful and valued bride even though they do countless weddings every week. They all display patience, understanding, great communication, and heart for their job. I couldn't have asked for a more supportive and positive team, right up to the indescribable moment I was behind the big curtains for my reveal. The list could go on and on, if you want a venue that is bang for your buck with an amazing crew behind you- look no further than the Gala 417 for your wedding day dreams come true.

They helped set up all the decor, they helped with any and every question I had. They made sure to make me feel like my day wasn't just another wedding for them,but they made me feel like family. The Gala 417 is LITERALLY what dreams are made of. Our July wedding was the most amazing day of our lives thanks to them! The Gala team is so impeccably knowledgeable and talented at what they do that all of my stress melted away. I didn't have to worry about a thing as they flawlessly turned my vision a reality. Honorable mentions go to Sarah, Mariah, and Jackie for their patience and being complete rockstars! From the whimsical ambiance to the smallest detail of edible orchids garnishing guest's plates, everything that Gala has to offer is beautifully and perfectly curated. This isn't just a venue that provides everything you could possibly need, it's a whole magical experience in itself. (I want to have another wedding just thinking about it!!) If you are on the fence about choosing a venue, here's your sign to look no further because you won't find a place that remotely compares to The Gala 417. 10/10 Highly recommend!

If you are considering booking The Gala 417 for your event, you should stop reading reviews and reserve your date now. We booked The Gala 417 for our wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the food is delicious, but the best aspect of this venue is definitely the staff. The owners and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the planning process. We loved how accommodating they were from the very beginning. You can tell they want your day to be exactly how you envision it. They were so flexible with the food menu, drink options, and decorations. For instance, the bride wanted to create an elaborate dessert table because she runs her own baking business. The staff helped make the bride’s wish happen. We dropped all the desserts off at the venue in the morning, and they had the dessert display set up perfectly for the reception. On our wedding day, the staff took care of every detail and ensured that the ceremony and reception ran smoothly. We like being prepared and organized, so we really appreciated how well coordinated everything was. After the ceremony, the staff quickly flipped the room for the reception, setting up tables, centerpieces, and other decorations. If there were any issues that day, we never heard about them because the staff is that good.Our wedding was a perfect day, and The Gala 417 is a major reason for that. We could not have booked a better venue. We cannot thank you enough for taking care of our guests and us on the best day of our lives!

We booked The Gala 417 for our wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made. Not only are they budget friendly, but their wedding packages include the tables, chairs, linens, and so much more so we did not have to deal with multiple vendors. The food and beverage menu gave plenty of options and was absolutely delicious. Having an all-inclusive venue kept our stress levels low and wedding planning actually enjoyable. Special shoutout to Sarah who decorated the entire venue for us, kept things moving smoothly which kept our wedding jitters to a minimum the morning of our wedding. The Gala team also broke down all our decorations and had them boxed up and ready to be taken home the evening of our event. My daughter had her wedding at The Gala 417 on May 29, 2022. I honestly can't say enough nice things about The Gala 417. We looked at other wedding venues before going to The Gala, but when we went to The Gala we knew immediately it was the right place. What was even more amazing is their package was cheaper than the other venues. I wanted my daughter to have her dream wedding and be treated like a princess on her special day and they did exactly that. We didn't have to lift a finger to do anything. The whole staff was absolutely amazing. The food was amazing, the drinks were awesome, the venue was very cool and comfortable on a hot day. Whenever we emailed Amberly she responded right away. The staff totally has their act together and they run everything very smoothly! I've had calls from everyone saying what a beautiful wedding it was and it couldn't have gone more perfect. The Gala is so beautify that you don't even need to have decorations! The beauty of the Gala itself is enough. If you want your daughter to have a dream wedding and be the princess for the day then The Gala is where you need to have her wedding!!

I can’t recommend The Gala417 enough! From the first time I toured the venue, to every step in the wedding planning process, the Gala 417 was absolutely amazing to work with. The entire team was so helpful while planning from last minute changes, special requests for the bar, and even letting me come by several times before the wedding to bring my decorations to see how everything would like while I was planning. The wedding day was absolutely amazing. I had 0 stress on the wedding day as their team took care of every single detail, and I was able to just completely relax and enjoy the beautiful venue and amazing food. All of my guests commented about how fantastic the cocktail hour and dinner food was, and the bar staff truest went above and beyond to make sure me and my husband triply enjoyed our wedding day and were never without a drink. The entire day went by seamlessly. A lot of brides say how they didn’t get to enjoy their wedding day because of all the small stressors, but thanks to the Gala 427 I completely enjoyed my wedding day and wouldn’t have haven’t a thing. I am so thankful to their entire team. If you are planning a wedding, you HAVE to give The Gala 417 a tour and meet their incredible team.

The Gala was the DREAM venue. We knew from our first tour that this was our place to say “I Do”. The staff is so easy to connect with and follow up on questions/concerns timely. The venue itself is picturesque with chandeliers, white floors, and the killer green wall. Gala being a one stop shop was a huge thing for my husband and I. We received rave reviews all night on how tasty the food was and how kind their bartenders were. We had some weather concerns leading up to our big day and the Gala Team really made it less stressful. Thank you so much for giving us a beautiful day to start our life together!

We fell in love with it from the moment that we toured, but got lucky and by the time our wedding date came around, they had upgraded to gorgeous marble flooring. The venue was gorgeous before, but that upgrade made our wedding feel that much more special. Megan and Amberly were fantastic in the planning phase and made it so effortless to put together our dream night -- Sarah and Tatiana knocked it out of the park with day of coordination to make that dream a reality. The bar/serving staff were all super friendly & helpful, and our food/drinks were perfect! We cannot thank The Gala 417 staff enough for making our wedding possible.

I have so many wonderful thing about this venue it's almost impossible to know where to begin. I had my wedding at The Gala 417 a little over a month ago and it was, hands down, one of the best decisions I've ever made. Not only was Amberly amazing throughout the entire process - attentive, responsive, invested in our vision, accommodating, etc., - but the venue itself is also drop dead beautiful. I chose the venue initially because of its beauty, but in the end the beauty was really just the icing on the cake of our experience with The Gala 417. The food was amazing, not one complaint from any of my guest. The venue itself is all inclusive - that means you can do basically everything there and not have to worry about a majority of things you would have to stress over at other venue. The ceremony & reception are at the same place, the food is in house, the bar is in house, even the linens, chairs, and parts of the decor are all in house. SO MANY THINGS were taken off my plate by choosing The Gala 417. You get so much more than what you pay for, SO MUCH MORE. I would 110% choose this venue again. If you are even considering this venue I beg you to go check it out. This place is wonderful and the owner and her team are literally TOP KNOTCH!*P.S. My husband would also like me to add that the bartender was the best (super generous with the pours) and the venue had real shot glasses!

We could not have had a better experience with the Gala 417. Amberly and Megan were incredible throughout the entire process. As an out of town bride, I was worried about being so far away during the planning process. They took the time to have many scheduled phone calls with me to answer my questions and assure everything was going as planned. On our day, we got to meet all of the staff. Every single person treated our wedding with the utmost respect and took care of everything for us. We felt so welcomed and taken care of. We wish we could relive the day over and over. We could not have had the day we did without this venue. We hope to book events there in the future!

Being a Covid bride I’ve lost count of how many times my plans had to change and they were there for me every step of the way. The venue itself is obviously beautiful, it’s the perfect blank canvas to create whatever vision you have & Amberly and Megan will be your hype girls through it all. My wedding day itself was incredibly beautiful. The staff was literally so kind and helpful, the bartender was amazing - just all of it. The flexibility and creativeness that Amberly and her staff offered me during such a stressful time was BEYOND what they “needed” to do for me - they went above and beyond to make sure everything went perfectly. I truly felt like they cared as much about our big day as we did. I cannot recommend this venue enough - I will be forever grateful that we had our wedding here! I knew the moment I walked into The Gala, I HAD to have my wedding there. The space is chic, modern, and a bride can certainly put her own stamp on it; which is exactly what I did. Amberly is the epitome of professional! Timely and responsive. She was always very enthusiastic about my vision. She and Meghan were a dream to work with and they were the perfect Day Of coordinators and worked seamlessly with all my vendors. The food was amazing. I had a great experience at the catering meeting; and was very excited about some of the ad hoc appetizer requests I wanted. The entire staff at The Gala 417 has been incredibly amazing in helping us deal with this curveball. They allowed us to transfer the date without any penalties or fees when we became uncomfortable going forward, before there was even a mandate set in place. My husband, Matthew, and I got married at the end of this past February. We met Amberly in May while the Gala 417 was under construction. Despite the uncertainty at the time of what the Gala would look for the wedding day, we decided to choose Gala 417 as our wedding venue. We had full faith in Amberly as her experience and personality gave us confidence in trusting her with our big day. Over the course of the next 9 months, we had a fairly easy planning experience. Amberly worked with our schedules to plan our site visits and tasting for a time that worked with us as we were out-of-towners that lived more than 4 hours away. She was easily accessible via email during the whole planning process, even when she was days away from giving birth. She provided guidance and suggestions that made the planning process simpler and more manageable than the expected chaotic wedding planning process. When our we found ourselves in a disagreement with our DJ company, Amberly defended us and fought for our request to set up equipment in a certain part of the venue. This was greatly appreciated especially during stressful times like wedding planning. A few weeks prior the big day, Amberly set up time to go over every last detail and logistic. This allowed Amberly to successfully execute every aspect of our wedding day including our traditional cultural ceremonies, cocktail hour, and reception. On the actual day of the wedding, the Gala 417 provided excellent staff support to the wedding party and guests. I distinctly remember one of the staff members stopping to help me with my veil and wedding train as she saw that I was having problems and my bridal party already having made their way down to the altar. Amidst all of her responsibilities, she took the time to help me look my best on one of the biggest days of my life. The rest of the evening went spectacularly. We had a few hiccups in terms of timing our speeches and following through with our general timeline, but Amberly and the staff at Gala 417 were amazing. My husband, Matthew, and I got married at the end of this past February. We met Amberly in May while the Gala 417 was under construction. Despite the uncertainty at the time of what the Gala would look for the wedding day, we decided to choose Gala 417 as our wedding venue. We had full faith in Amberly as her experience and personality gave us confidence in trusting her with our big day. Over the course of the next 9 months, we had a fairly easy planning experience. Amberly worked with our schedules to plan our site visits and tasting for a time that worked with us as we were out-of-towners that lived more than 4 hours away. She was easily accessible via email during the whole planning process, even when she was days away from giving birth. She provided guidance and suggestions that made the planning process simpler and more manageable than the expected chaotic wedding planning process. When our we found ourselves in a disagreement with our DJ company, Amberly defended us and fought for our request to set up equipment in a certain part of the venue. This was greatly appreciated especially during stressful times like wedding planning. A few weeks prior the big day, Amberly set up time to go over every last detail and logistic. This allowed Amberly to successfully execute every aspect of our wedding day including our traditional cultural ceremonies, cocktail hour, and reception. On the actual day of the wedding, the Gala 417 provided excellent staff support to the wedding party and guests. I distinctly remember one of the staff members stopping to help me with my veil and wedding train as she saw that I was having problems and my bridal party already having made their way down to the altar. Amidst all of her responsibilities, she took the time to help me look my best on one of the biggest days of my life. The rest of the evening went spectacularly. We had a few hiccups in terms of timing our speeches and following through with our general timeline, but Amberly and the staff at Gala 417 were amazing. THANK YOU!! The Gala 417 made my sister's wedding absolutely perfect!!! All the guests LOVED all the food and the staff was so professional and on top of everything the whole night. The other thing I liked was how happy and friendly the staff was!! Amberly made my sister feel stress free throughout the entire process and always responded to her questions in such a timely manner. The entire process is so streamlined, they are running a wonderful operation there and I will refer anyone getting married to there a hundred times over!

I have been in the catering business with hotels and high-end establishments for 10+ years and I have never seen a more smoothly run and professional facility! My fiance and I immediately fell in love with how modern and classy this venue is! The bar/cocktail area is stunning, as well as the reception area! Not to mention the bridal suit is jaw dropping. The Gala 417 is going to be the most amazing backdrop for our wedding reception photos. While we only booked it for our reception, I have no doubt that if we were to have our ceremony here as well it would be just as gorgeous! Amberly was super easy to work with and very flexible around my Fiance and I's crazy schedules for tours and meetings. The pricing here is reasonable compared with other venues in the Virginia Beach area. One of the things I love the MOST about booking this venue it that they take care of the Catering and Bar in house--- no need to shop around for those services which is a BIG weight lifted off my shoulders!!! If you are looking for a beautiful place to have your special day I highly consider visiting The Gala 417. I think you will fall in love with it like we did!

I cannot say enough about how excited I am to have my wedding at The Gala 417! We toured so many venues and The Gala 417 was just so much more fitting than all the others. Its one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. AND THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! We just had our tasting and my fiancé hasn't stopped talking about the food! My parents are pretty hard to please \"foodies\" and they absolutely loved everything they tried, too! The meats were all tender and juicy with great flavor! The Vegetarian Pasta was sooo good too! Officially counting down the days!

The gala 417 was the first and only venue I toured and I was sold after my first visit. I’m so excited to have my wedding here and be a gala bride! Also Amberly ROCKS. My fiancé, my mom and I toured this venue this morning and ended up booking it before before we left! I am so excited for my wedding now! The venue is still being built but they were able to show us exactly what everything is going to be like when its done and I know its going to be GORGEOUS! The people that work there are really nice and knowledgable and have made me feel so much more at ease than I did before! They literally took away all of my stress. Highly recommended.

The inside of the venue, like I said, was still being built- but I could definitely tell even just by the shell that it is going to be spectacular! The owners gave me the tour and were so easy to talk to! They knew exactly what I meant when I asked questions and were so real and down to Earth. You can really tell this is something they have a lot of knowledge about. They offer everything that a bride would want, they include everything in their rentals, do the set up and break down, and they have an add on package with vendors that have discounts so I don't have to call around and wait for people to call me back. The photographer I hired from their list gave me $2000 off because I am a \"Gala Bride\"! They have just made everything so easy! I am so excited for my April 2020 wedding at The Gala 417!
