I don't even know where to start - from our first meeting with Jerry Rizzo, to the last plate of food served at our post-wedding brunch, everything about our wedding at the Garden City Hotel was PERFECTION. Jerry and his team are true professionals, a step (or ten) above the rest! Jerry was so thorough - he answered every question we had over the year+ we were planning, made recommendations to ensure our wedding had the best flow possible, and was flexible and accommodating to every request made.The food was absolutely phenomenal, truly restaurant quality (the best food I personally have ever had at a wedding). From the cocktail hour stations to dinner and cake/dessert, everything was delicious and our guests are still raving about it. Even brunch the next day was fabulous! The service throughout the wedding was flawless - bars were staffed appropriately, no one was ever waiting for drinks or food (which is always a pet peeve when we attend other weddings). The ballroom itself is spectacular, and Jerry and his team worked so closely with us, our florist and our wedding coordinator to make sure it was exactly what we had envisioned. The hotel itself is beautifully kept - so many people commented on how spacious and clean their rooms were, and the staff, from the valets and doormen to the front desk, were friendly, helpful and accommodating. I cannot say enough great things about this venue and everyone who works there - it is class and elegance all the way! If I could do it all over again, I would do it all exactly the same!!

Jerry Rizzo and the entire team at The Garden City Hotel gave us the wedding of our dreams. I’m the cliche “dreamt about my wedding my whole life” girl and it surpassed every dream and expectation I had. Jerry, Merle, Nang, Jose, Paul, Carla, Brittany, and every other staff member in front of and behind the scenes were the utmost professionals and went above and beyond with every request we had. I’m extremely Type A, and Jerry beared with me and all my nitty gritty questions and thoughts. He also was always happy to accommodate requests, whether that be adding onto our food menu, popping by last minute for an extra visit, and more. Then, the entire day and night went so smoothly. I don’t know how I could have gotten through the day without Nang, our bridal attendant, who somehow spectacularly always did 5 things at once and went above and beyond. And it goes without saying how absolutely STUNNING the venue is. The food was unbelievable - the short rib, oh my goodness. Guests cannot stop raving about how it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to. THANK YOU TO JERRY AND ALL OF THE GCH STAFF!

We worked with Jerry Rizzo from the banquet office of the Garden City Hotel for a wedding in the grand ballroom. His service along with his entire staff shined throughout with extreme quality of excellence from the beginning stages of planning through the end of the event inclusive of the following mornings fabulous breakfast buffet. All parties assisting were a pleasure to work with and there was nothing but total excellence in every area that I could note to anyone asking for a recommendation. It is now a week after the wedding and we are still be contacted to again be told it was the most fabulous wedding ever !

The Garden City Hotel and Paul De La Vega gave us our dream wedding. Everything was perfection, from planning, to logistics, to tasting, to accommodating our special requests, to coordinating all of our decor and personalized elements, to liaising with our vendors, to a flawless execution of our ceremony, reception, after party and breakfast. Paul is an absolute pro and ensured that everything was top notch - while also making sure that my husband and I were cared for the entire night (and kept calm throughout the day). Merle our maitre’d was so professional and lovely, and my bridal attendant was so helpful and kind. Thanks also to Carla for being so wonderful to work with for our guest room block. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with the Garden City Hotel - our guests raved about the food, the service, the venue, etc. It was truly a dream and we’re so grateful - can’t wait to do more special events there! I wish I could give more stars. The Garden City hotel was an amazing venue for our September wedding. Paul De La Vega was our catering manager and handled everything super efficiently right from the beginning all the way through to the post wedding brunch. Paul was very attentive and detail oriented, he was on top of things. Carla helped us with our hotel room block and accommodated several of our last minute requests, thank you Carla!! The entire staff on the day of the wedding went above and beyond to make everything happen smoothly. Merle, our Maitre’d, and Nang, our bridal attendant, were there for anything and everything all evening!! I don’t think there is a venue on Long Island that can beat the food at the GCH; it was AMAZING. People are still texting me about their meals from 2 months ago! The steak was so good you could eat it with a butter knife!! I can’t thank this team of professionals enough for a very special and memorable wedding day!

On September 16, 2022 my husband and I had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at The Garden City Hotel, and with the support of Paul de La Vega helping us plan every detail from our first meeting to the night of to oversee it all, along with the rest of the Garden City staff, they made our wedding night the most memorable night, attending to everything needed for the night to run smoothly from beginning to end. Our Maitre D's Merle and Jose were so lovely and kind. They catered to every detail and checked in all night to ensure each part of the night was running as we wanted. My bridal assistant Nang was the most attentive and thoughtful support helping me from the beginning of the photographs with my dress, bouquet, and makeup, to the last minute of the reception, making sure I felt my absolute best. I would encourage any bride or groom looking for a venue for their special night to start here because GCH will thoughtfully make sure your wedding night is exactly the special evening you dream of :)

We had the BEST wedding at the Garden City Hotel. Our wedding was perfect beyond our wildest dreams. The food and drinks were amazing, the service was superb, and every last detail was executed beautifully. We have been receiving so many compliments! It was the best night of our lives. The catering manager, Jerry, was honest and knowledgable. Paul and Merle kept the entire night running flawlessly. The bridal attendants provided by the hotel were above and beyond - so helpful and in tune with my needs. If I could do it all over again, I would choose the Garden City Hotel again, no questions asked.

When searching for a wedding venue, we had a long list of requirements. After touring so many different venues were finally went to The Garden City hotel to meet with the catering manager and tour the hotel. After that first meeting, it was a no-brainer that The Garden City Hotel would be our wedding venue. Our original wedding date was scheduled for April 2020, we had our tasting a month prior to pre-covid and it was amazing! When Covid hit and we had to reschedule our wedding TWICE, the catering manager and hotel were so accommodating provided available dates, moving the room blocks, and making sure we were taken care of. As we got closer to the July 2021 date, Jerry and the team answered all of the questions and were extremely on top of the constantly changing Covid-19 guidelines and regulations. Jerry and the team worked with us to make sure we were in the loop so that we could keep our guests informed. We worked with Jerry and his team for our July 2021 wedding and it was truly an amazing and seamless experience. They helped make the weekend feel so special, we were treated like royalty! On the day of the wedding, we had an amazing team taking care of everything for us. From the breakfast and lunch they served in the bridal and groom getting ready suites to making sure the night flowed smoothly, we truly cannot thank them enough. The food was incredible and all of our guests were raving about it. We chose this venue for a reason, they are professionals and know how to throw a party! They helped us find the perfect vendors who have previously worked at the hotel for weddings and knew the grounds (that was important!) that made it very stress-free for us. Thank you again to The Garden City Hotel and Jerry Rizzo for making our wedding a dream come true.

All I can say is perfection! My husband and I are expecting our first child and we decided we wanted to be married before the baby is born. Given the current pandemic and our time frame we knew we'd have to have a smaller, intimate affair. We planned a micro-wedding for 22 ppl in a month and half and the GCH offered us the best deal, as well as being one of the few venues that would host an event of our size and with availability. Our event planner Brittany was such a pleasure to work with and she communicated so well with us in our brief planning process. She answered every question and fulfilled every request. Our wedding luncheon in the Red Salt Room went off without a hitch and we got so many compliments from our guests regarding the food, service, and ambience. You would never know we had such a limited time to plan because everything was so meticulously curated and we got to enjoy our wedding rather than worrying about details. We were gifted a room at the hotel by friends and the hospitality continued on throughout our stay. Brittany was kind enough to make a dinner reservations for us that evening and we treated like VIPs during our meal. We were offered complimentary champagne by the restaurant manager and different staff came by to congratulate us throughout our meal. Even the front desk staff was aware of our nuptials and went out of their way to congratulate us and make sure our stay impeccable. Our room was also beautifully decorated to make it a true honeymoon suite. I honestly could go on and on about how wonderful our experience was. Highly recommend!

We could not have been happier to have our wedding at The Garden City Hotel. We initially planned our wedding for May 2020, but postponed until October 3. Obviously we were anxious about restrictions and safety, but Jerry and the team at the GC Hotel worked a miracle to provide us with a socially distanced celebration that was not only gorgeous, but safe. When I initially spoke with Jerry about having a scaled down celebration, we both were cautious about state regulations as well as keeping out guests safe. The hotel had clear protocols for limiting touch points, modified seating arrangements and thoughtful changes were made to cocktail hour to limit guests walking and eating. They provided extra staff was on hand to assist and to monitor that all guests kept their face coverings on when not eating.Even with all the fear surrounding COVID, the food and service were at the same spectacular level you expect at the GC Hotel. The ballroom, while housing so few guests, was stunning, the food delicious and drinks were flowing. My bridal attendant, our maitre’d and manager Jerry were attentive thought the entire day and I could not have imagined a more perfect wedding...even with a pandemic! I have heard nightmare stories about wedding vendors during the pandemic and the professionalism and integrity of the GC was evident from our first fraught phone calls in March when it became evident we would need to postpone. I am so happy to have worked with Jerry and the entire team and the GC Hotel. They made our bizarre pandemic wedding perfect.

We had our wedding at The Garden City hotel in February 2020. We can not say enough amazing things about our experience with this venue. From day one, planning was extremely easy. Jerry made every step of the process easy, clear and fun! In addition to hosting our ceremony and reception, we had a 40+ room block. Each of our guests raved about their stay at the hotel. From the moment we walked into the hotel on Friday we were met with such impeccable service. From the bellhop to the matre D of the wedding, the staff was flawless. The facilities were absolutely beautiful and the food was beyond delicious and plentiful! If we had to do it again, we would do everything exactly the same because they made our wedding a dream come true!

There are honestly not enough words to describe just how perfectly outstanding our wedding was here at the Garden City Hotel. Working with Paul made the planning absolutely seamless. He knew exactly what he wanted, he was extremely flexible, and accommodating. We (my husband) changed his mind 1 million times and Paul adjusted things with a smile each and every time. We truly felt he wanted us to be happy no matter what. The entire staff was nothing short of professional and attentive. I have picky parents and the food was perfect. There is honestly not much more I can say without sounding like a broken record. The Garden City Hotel made all of our dreams come true and we could not thank Paul and his entire staff enough for making everything possible. We talk about our wedding everyday and we cannot say anything negative or bad about the staff, the food, the hotel, service, etc. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!!! You will not be disappointed!!

He helped us with a variety of things including menu selection, signature cocktails, vendors and a lot more. The staff was excellent in every way and we were left to enjoy ourselves and not worry about a thing throughout the reception. We highly recommend the Hotel as a place to host your next special occasion!

I had the pleasure of hosting my wedding reception at the GC Hotel in November 2019. It's hard to put into words just how wonderful it was. My family and I worked with Jerry Rizzo. He was attentive, responsive and made the entire planning process seem so easy. When we met with him, he was so patient and took his time answering every question and providing us with every piece of information that we could possibly need. We set up a room block for our guests and worked with Nicole, who was also incredibly attentive and responsive. The day of, the hotel staff coordinated with our florist and band, and we did not have to worry about a thing. My family and I trusted Jerry & the GC Hotel 100% and had full confidence in them that everything would be perfect and it truly was. Our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about the hotel itself, the staff and mainly, the food. Everyone was raving about how delicious both the cocktail hour & dinner was. We also had a few guests with specific dietary restrictions and they noted that the staff was very accommodating. Our guests who spent the weekend at the hotel had nothing but positive things to say about their stays and again, how lovely the entire staff is. Our wedding was Saturday night and we hosted a brunch at the hotel the next morning, which again was a bit hit with our guests. It was the perfect way to end the weekend. I strongly recommend getting married, or even hosting any event, at the Garden City Hotel. The rooms are so elegant, the staff is so helpful & kind and the food is absolutely delicious. There is not one single thing I would change about my experience there. Wedding planning can be extremely stressful but I did not experience that one bit working with the Garden City Hotel. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

My husband and I recently got married at the garden city hotel. Let me start by saying this was a big fat Greek wedding (400 plus). Mr. Peter Stone and his entire staff could not have done a better job. Everything not only meted our expectations but exceeded everything we had hoped for. Even with the amount of people, it never felt like a tight squeeze as Peter and his staff had been working for weeks on making it just right. Every guest felt as if the staff was there to serve them and we had zero complains, which is saying a lot (especially for a Greek wedding :) ). There was plenty of room on the dance floor and every detail that Mr. Stone laid out helped in making our wedding the best it could be.The food was 5 star all around from cocktail hour to entrees and desserts. Personally, the short rib was one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted in my life! Also, our church services ended around 5pm and we had a 6:15pm cocktail hour. We had 25 sets of guests check into the hotel starting around 5:30pm. Nicole Loudenslager and her entire staff made sure all guests had no problem checking in, everyone had time to touch up in their rooms and enjoy the entire cocktail party. Our only regret is that it’s all over and we wish we could do it again. If you’re thinking about having your wedding at the garden city hotel, stop thinking about it and do it. As long as Peter Stone and his staff are running things, your dream wedding will become a reality!

My husband and I had our wedding here 10/4/19 and it was just amazing. We worked with Peter Stone throughout the planning process. He was so professional, so attentive to detail and really helped guide us through the stress of wedding planning. The day of the wedding everything ran so smoothly. I had a bridal attendant that helped us from getting ready to making sure we were actually eating on our wedding day. Peter really helped bring our vision to real life. The food was absolutely fantastic, which isn't a surprise now that David Burke is there. Every detail was taken care of and we were able to have a beautiful, stress free wedding day.

We had the perfect wedding day at the Garden City Hotel! Janine was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was extremely attentive to our needs and made sure we were happy with every decision throughout the planning process. The day of the wedding, Janine was there to make sure we were comfortable, on time and happy. The food was delicious, the cake was beautiful and the staff was extremely professional. Nicole was also Instrumental in securing our room block and answering any questions or concerns we had about the rooms. She was so patient and easy to work with. In addition, our Penthouse suite was beautiful for the night of the wedding!I could not recommend Janine or the GCH enough! We had a beautiful and amazing wedding with the help of Janine and the rest of the staff at the GCH!

From our first meeting with Janine, our catering manager (14 months prior to the wedding ) to our check out of the hotel following our brunch the morning after the wedding, the experience was seamless. The entire staff of the hotel were professional, helpful, warm and friendly. Accommodations great. The food and service were excellent. Even though we were meticulously involved in our wedding planning process, we were absolutely floored by the class, beauty, and service of the Garden City Hotel (GCH). Janine Krafchin was a true pleasure to work with -- she was excellent with communication and flawlessly executed all of the wedding details we mapped out with her. But perhaps most importantly, we always felt at ease knowing she was advocating on our behalf.We had one of the few wedding ceremonies held outside each year in the GCH English Garden -- and despite a rather large guest count, Janine worked her magic and helped us create a stunning ceremony and reception that all of our friends and family are still raving about. We especially appreciate the smaller requests Janine always delivered on to really make our wedding a unique reflection of us (blue cheese stuffed olives in the martinis, custom food selections, placement of our photos around the foyer, alcohol selection, hanging bacon, and the list goes on).The food, the elegance of the ballroom, the attentiveness & professionalism of the staff, the rehearsal dinner, the after party, the awesome penthouse suite where we spent the night -- these are just some of the aspects that set GCH apart from all the other weddings we've attended.We couldn't recommend GCH and particularly Janine any higher. Thank you for absolutely crushing it and helping us to make our dream wedding a reality.

Where do I begin? My wedding at the Garden City Hotel was an absolute dream come true, which started from the moment we first started working with Peter and the team there. I could never have EVER dreamed of a better experience and most importantly, the wedding of my dreams! Everything turned out perfect. Nothing, literally NOTHING went wrong! Peter, Nicole and the rest of the team are truly the best-in-class venue team you could ever ask for, and I will be forever grateful for how everything turned out. I'm still speechless almost 2 months later! We had the most incredible weekend of our lives and felt like we were treated like royalty throughout the whole weekend, what more could you want?

The staff is as professional as they come, nothing is too much when it comes to accommodating a client's needs. Smart and efficient. The food is delicious and the chef will work around any guests dietary restrictions. I just wanted to take a moment to thank Janine from the Garden City Hotel for all the help that they provided us during the planning of our wedding party. We came in with the tall order of planning a wedding in less than 6 weeks and came out with a party we could have only dreamed of. As our plans changed and our party grew their suggestions and guidance helped us make the choices that secured our happiness during the entire event. Everything from room selection to menu choices and event timing was perfect. The food was as good as advertised and our servers were right on point in terms of timing and ensuring that everybody was happy with their food preparations. Janine even helped our participants with coordinating a spot for us to meet afterwards. Everything she did for us was very much appreciated. We would recommend this venue for all types of parties including weddings.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with having my wedding at the Garden City Hotel! From the second we walked in there, I was so impressed with the service, ambiance and professionalism. Paul De La Vega was the best to work with- he had such an attention to detail and no task was too big for him to accomplish. The day of my wedding was honestly a dream! I couldn’t have asked for a better day, from the food to the staff to the complimentary penthouse suite for me and my husband at the end of the night, GCH was perfection. I recently went to a wedding at a GCH competitor that we had considered and WOW, what a difference! GCH blew this other place out of the water, there was just no comparison! Couldn’t be more happy with my experience, thank you GCH!

All I can say is WOW!!! Best Day Everrrrrr!!! Paul De La Vega (our wedding coordinator) was AMAZING! He helped us plan our big day and kept us calm and confident every step of the way. His professionalism and ability to answer every question and clear up any doubts with such ease was very comforting. He made us feel very comfortable and helped execute exactly what we wanted. We could not have asked for a better planner. I highly recommend The Garden City Hotel. Our guests raved about the location, the property and the delicious food served. The food was above and beyond delishous and never ending!!! Our drinks were never empty! They were also loving our wedding cake selection. Our red velvet canoli wedding cake was a hit.If you are looking for a wedding venue that is high end and classy, we highly recommend The Garden City Hotel and ask for Paul De La Vega. He is the best. Where do I even begin?My husband and I got married here on 12/28/18, and we are still struggling to process how utterly amazing our day was. We worked with Janine, who, to anyone who meets or speaks with her, it will be boldly apparent, is an absolute professional, and class act; she also happens to be one of the sweetest, most sincere and helpful people I have ever met. From the moment we met with her to look at the event space, right up until the last glass of champagne was poured at our reception, Janine was by our side, guiding us through every aspect of planning, ensuring not a single detail was overlooked. She went so above and beyond for us, we really can’t thank her enough!Janine’s staff, our bridal attendants the day of: Ari, Ludy, Bibi, (and many others whose names I am unfortunately forgetting), even the doormen were equally as hospitable and helpful. Ari was with us the second we arrived back from church and catered to our every need, whether it was a fresh drink and a bite to eat in between pictures, or helping me with my dress to the ladies room all night, she did not falter once, and had such a pleasant demeanor throughout it all.The food was absolutely delicious, coming from a couple who usually doesn’t eat at weddings because the food is almost alway disappointing. Our Italian (very picky)family and friends are still talking about how delicious everything, including our wedding cake, was. I could go on and on, but in short, the service you receive at the Garden City Hotel, is second to none, and their attention to detail is everything. They truly are a superior venue, if you have any doubts about having your wedding or special event here, rest assured you are in the hands of true professionals.

I don't even know where to start! The Garden City Hotel was absolutely perfect in every way. From the moment we booked the venue, Peter Stone was incredible. He helped me every step of the way, including choosing the best vendors. He was honest in guiding us the best places to spend and save money. His knowledge and professionalism gave us such a sense of comfort that the entire process was anxiety free. Peter Stone organized the entire event and perfectly executed all of my requests. It is clear that Peter is an expert in his field. I did my rehearsal dinner, wedding reception, after party, and morning after brunch all at the GCH, and I am SO HAPPY I did. The hotel just made these events so easy for me. The food and service were beyond our expectations, and I received very positive comments from all of our guests. My friends are still talking about how great the cocktail hour food was and how they wish they could eat it again! The hotel support staff was amazing and SO NICE. The hotel rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. The entire hotel and ballroom atmosphere was just magical. There was not a single thing that I would change about this venue. I would recommend this venue a million times!!!!

Once we stepped inside the hotel, we knew we wanted to get married at GCH. We got married in Oct 2018 and all I can say is how wonderful my wedding turned out. Peter Stone was awesome! He was always available to answer any questions I had for him from Day 1 to the day of our wedding (He would reply back to my emails within 5 mins). During our food tasting, Peter was willing to work with the kitchen staff to get a cultural dish for our cocktail hour. The outcome was PERFECT; they included all the ingredients and it tasted REALLY GOOD! All my guests were raving about how good all the food/dessert was and told our parents they've never had such delicious food at a wedding before. On the day of the wedding, all the staff worked together to make sure everything ran smoothly. Nang my bridal attendant was AMAZING. She would always make sure that I have something to drink and eat. She also made sure my husband had something to eat and drink as well. Overall, we had a wonderful experience working with Peter and I would definitely recommend getting married at GCH!

Our daughter was married at the Garden City hotel on 10/6/18. From the first day I met with Jerry Rizzo in June of 2017 until the end of the wedding, we had a wonderful experience. Jerry was always accommodating and provided me with prompt responses via email or phone. He helped me plan the menu which my guests have been raving about. The food was amazing- from cocktail hour, to dinner to dessert. Atef, the maitre d , and his staff should be commended for a wonderful job. I want to go back and experience the entire reception again!

Wow!! What an amazing job The Garden City Hotel did on our wedding!! Janine was our coordinator and I can’t recommend her enough! From the first time we saw the space, to the meetings along the way, the tasting, and the wedding itself - she executed every request flawlessly! She is highly responsive to every little email and question, even when she is out of the office! She was a fantastic communicator and I can’t imagine I could have pulled everything off without her! We had our wedding, our after party and a farewell breakfast all the hotel and I couldn’t imagine a more perfect wedding weekend! Every single person that came to our events raves about the service, the food, the hotel - the cake!! We had a sizable amount of people staying over at the hotel for our wedding and they handled this perfectly as well. The grand ballroom will not disappoint, the grounds are perfect for pictures and the accommodations will wow your guests!!! I would have given Janine and her team 10 stars if I could’ve! Thank you so much for the most perfect wedding, people are still raving about it to us everyday!

We got married at the Garden City Hotel in March 2018. In short, you will not find a venue with better food and service. We had visited several venues before the GCH, but our meeting with Jerry Rizzo (Director of Catering) felt different with his friendliness, excitement, and professionalism. While other venues made us feel rushed and like we were just one of a million other weddings, Jerry made us feel like our wedding mattered to both him and the GCH and that sentiment remained true throughout the entire process. Jerry was very helpful and accommodating with our questions and special requests. For example, we got engaged in Montauk and Jerry brought in Montauk Summer Ale to serve at the cocktail hour and reception. He also served specialized off the menu desserts that we requested (bourbon maple bacon s’mores…). The food was amazing! Guests raved about the pan roasted duck breast entree and said it was their first wedding where all of the food was served piping hot (it’s amazing how often this isn’t the case). People told us beforehand that you don’t have time to eat at your own wedding, but the staff made sure that wasn’t true for us, bringing us sampler trays of cocktail hour food to our bridal suite, dessert trays to our penthouse suite, and constantly checking in during the reception to make sure we had enough food. When I was looking for one of the mini lobster roll passed hors d’oeuvres, our Maitre’d ran downstairs to the restaurant to get me a full sized lobster roll before the reception started and any time I had an empty drink, it was refilled immediately without having to ask. Jerry, Sonny (Maitre’d), Nang (Bridal Attendant), and the rest of the staff were incredible, going above and beyond to ensure we had the best night of our lives. With 140 guests, we had our reception on the second floor instead of the larger Grand Ballroom. With the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all on the second floor (as well as most of our room block), it was a very convenient layout and the rooms were set up beautifully. We felt like all of the hotel's resources were made available to us, from having full service bridal suites the day of the wedding (fully stocked with beer and wine), reserved space in the Polo Lounge after hours for our after-party, and a complimentary penthouse suite for our wedding night. We are so grateful for everything that the GCH did to make our wedding so memorable and truly could not have been happier.

My wedding was on March 3, 2018- this Saturday. I invited almost 500 people to my wedding and about 400 people attended. The garden city hotel was the best venue I could have ever chose. They provided us with more bars then we needed and more food then you could imagine. They made the night so easy for me- I did not have to worry about a thing. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Every station at cocktail hour was always filled and full- all 9 stations. Dinner was incredible. Dessert, which is my favorite part of any meal, was over the top. We had 5 butler passed desserts, passed patron cafe and an 8-tiered cake- YES 8-tiers. It was the best food that I have ever had by far at any wedding venue! The staff was incredible!!!!!!! Specifically, Peter Stone. He treated me like a daughter and did not have me lift a finger through out this planning process. I never had to worry about or coordinate anything, as He called my vendors for me to coordinate details.

We just had my daughter's wedding at The Garden City Hotel. It was fantastic. The staff could not do enough to make sure we were happy and the food was delicious. More than one guest told me that they liked every dish they tried in the cocktail hour, dinner and dessert. Many of us stayed in the hotel that night (about 25 rooms) and the accommodations were 5 star as well. Can't say enough good things about the way we were treated and how happy we are!

The venue is absolutely stunning the food is excellent and most importantly the client service is unparalleled. We worked with Janine Krafchin and she ensured our wedding day was the best day of our entire lives and it truly was. Not a single detail was overlooked from events prior to the wedding such as food tasting, cocktail hour selections, to the moment we arrived and started taking photos tonthe strawberries floating in passed champagne. I live local to the Garden City Hotel but I had never been inside until I received a gift certificate for the Red Door Spa in 2014. I immediately fell in love with the hotel and said that when I get married I was going to have the wedding there. September 10, 2016 my husband and I got engaged and immediately scheduled a tour for 5 venues the following weekend. We met with Peter and canceled our other appointments.The ballroom is absolutely AMAZING and the service was impeccable. Even though I am incredibly organized and obsessive, Peter was calm and easy to work with through the entire process. He answered any and all my questions and there was no need for a wedding planner. He organized all of my vendors the day of and made sure everything went off without a hitch. Even when I was getting nervous because we were about a month out from the wedding, Peter met with me to go over everything again.January 13, 2018 was our wedding day and Atef (matre'd) and his staff were AMAZING. They were very attentive to anything I needed during the day in the bridal suites and made sure everything I wanted done was done properly. Even if something didn't go exactly right, I would have never known because Atef, Peter and their staff made sure my day was absolutely perfect. The penthouse suite was beautiful and Atef made sure everything I brought for the wedding was neatly and carefully returned to me in the suite after the wedding. He was truly a pleasure to work with! The food was the talk of the wedding! So many guests came up to me to tell me how amazing cocktail hour, the signature cocktails, and reception dishes were. And the cake was everything I could dream of! We also had our brunch the next morning at the hotel and wow that was SUCH a great decision. The food was plentiful and delicious and the service was great. All of our hotel guests were so appreciative for the amazing brunch and we were so happy to see everyone before they went home. It has been almost 3 weeks since our wedding and people are STILL talking about the garden city hotel! I could not have made a better decision! It was spectacular and glamourous, everything I ever wanted!

The staff promise top quality and they deliver top quality -- they go above and beyond. The team at Garden City are organized, professional, and experts at what they do. They took such amazing care of us -- we felt valued, and that it was important to the team to make sure we were happy with everything from the food to the drinks to the floor plan to the service, etc. -- they did so much to make us and our families feel special and to make sure our guests were comfortable, happy, and having an amazing time. We worked with Paul De la Vega, who was FANTASTIC. You can trust Paul and everyone at the Garden City Hotel to create a beautiful experience and beautiful memories for you and all of your guests. From the second we stepped foot in the Garden City Hotel ballroom we knew that we HAD to have our wedding reception there- truly no other venue compares. Catering Director - Janine Krafchin made us feel so at ease while planning the wedding. The entire event staff went above and beyond to accommodate our guests. I work in the events industry and this is the most professional team I’ve ever witnessed. After our wedding on 9/29/17 we got so many calls from guests-each saying they’ve never been to a wedding this beautiful and that they felt like royalty with the way the staff treated them. They even accommodated my husband’s crazy request to accept a pizza delivery and serve pizza on silver platters to our guests at 11:30pm (the guests LOVED this)! I cannot thank Janine and the team enough for making our wedding dreams come true. The Garden City Hotel really is perfect.

I got married at the Garden City Hotel and had the pleasure of working with Jerry Rizzo. Jerry (who was there the day of) and the rest of his team far exceeded any expectation we had. Jerry was on top of every detail to make sure we didn't have to worry about anything. During the weekend of the wedding, the execution was entirely flawless. The bridal attendants were amazing and helpful. They were one step ahead of me the entire time. The food and service at the reception demonstrated a level of care and professionalism that should not go unnoticed. Sonny Bishop and his team added an extra level of attention to us, our family and every one of our guests. Everyone says expect one thing to go wrong on your wedding day. I can confidently say that not one thing went wrong on my wedding day and I believe the Garden City Hotel is the reason for that.

The Garden City Hotel (GCH) was amazing! It was one of the best experiences anyone could ask for. I don't think my wife and I could have asked for anything more, not only on the wedding day but the overall process. Not being from Long Island, I did not know anything about GCH. My wife made clear the venue's high-end reputation for service. From what I could see, this extended to everything the hotel could influence. From the beginning, Jerry (the Director of Catering) was kind, courteous and responsive to all our needs. We planned our wedding in less than 60 days, and as such could not have a tasting. Instead, Jerry invited four of us to the hotel’s Sunday brunch, for which they are well known. That had to be one of the best brunches I have ever been to in my life. We were able to have a sample of pretty much everything that is on the catering menu and could tailor our choices accordingly. We came back to GCH another time for our cake tasting, which was also impressive. We wanted something simple, but not what you see everyday in wedding cakes, and Jerry and Catalina (Pastry Chef) were able to accommodate us easily. The presentation of the cake was wonderful, with Jerry bringing out a smaller version of the cake for us to cut/taste at the hotel. Separately but equally as important to us was the ability to have rooms available to our guests for the weekend. We figured this would be difficult, as we were planning everything so close to the wedding day, but Nicole (Sales Manager) and Jerry were able to accommodate everyone. This was no small feat, as Nicole had to keep my wife and I updated every other day to let us know if any rooms had become available so that she could hold them for us.Back to the wedding day, we wanted an intimate setting, and Jerry did everything he could to provide that. We were given the option to have a 3-course or 4-course menu, with the 4-course (we chose this) being more of a dining experience. As I mentioned before, the food at GCH is exquisite, and coupled with the combination of older guests and several speeches, we thought this was the best option for us. Although we missed the cocktail hour, our guests told us they were impressed by the food, the setup, the number of options and the service. There were five stations, two bars, and eight passed hot/cold appetizers. The options ranged from vegetarian to dim sum to pulled pork – something for everyone. As an aside, since we weren’t able to attend the cocktail hour, Sonny (Maitre’d) has his staff bring as many items as he could to our wedding suite (which was insane by the way) so that we could have late night eats with our close friends. For dinner, everything was on point. If it wasn’t for Sonny and his staff, the night could have easily gone awry everything off schedule. Having gone through this experience, I cannot stress how important it is to have someone like him in the background making sure happens according to plan. It is very easy to lose track of time while you’re talking to your guests, listening to speeches, etc. Not once did I nor my wife have to worry about anything the entire night. At the end of the day, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The pre-wedding/wedding experience at GCH is something we will never forget and it couldn’t have happened without Jerry and his wonderful staff. People are still talking about the food and the party! Thank you everyone at GCH for helping us put on an event we will never forget.

We had the pleasure of working with Peter Stone, Catering Director, and he was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire wedding planning process and on the day of the actual event. The Grand Ballroom is spectacular and it's really nice that the GCH only hosts one wedding at a time. The wedding attendants and wait staff at the GCH are amazing and go above and beyond to make your day special! The food was incredible. Our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was! We are so happy we decided to have our wedding at the GCH. It was truly a memorable experience!

We just had our wedding at the end of May at the Garden City Hotel and could not have been happier with our day. From the very start we fell in love with hotel and opulent ballroom that is drenched in sparkling crystal and the only thing that was more sparkling was our Catering Manager, Jerry Rizzo. Jerry walked us through the decision process in designing the perfect wedding for our big day. He took the time to get to know us so he could better understand how to build the perfect menu along with how to best utilize the hotel to create the experience we were looking for. Our ceremony was onsite in the outdoor garden and was such an intimate touch. We then had a robust cocktail hour with a variety of stations to suit anyone's cuisine. Now for the best part, the ballroom! It was glowing and was definitely bursting with elegance. I definitely recommend getting the upgraded lighting package since it really brought out our flowers and helped set the mood for the wedding. The food was awesome and people are still talking about the Chilean seabass being \"like butter\". The day was perfect and we definitely recommend the venue, the food and just know you can absolutely trust the staff to deliver a high quality event.

If you want to feel like royalty on one of the biggest days of your life then I highly recommend having your wedding at The Garden City Hotel! Having grown up 10 minutes from the hotel I always knew it held an admirable and well-respected reputation, so naturally I was curious to learn what they offered for weddings. We met with Peter Stone two weeks after getting engaged and we immediately knew we didn't need to look at another venue. The most important factors for our venue to have were service, food and professionalism and Peter assured us the hotel would over deliver on all of the above - which is exactly what happened. From the personal menu tasting with our parents to the custom design of our wedding cake to the creation of our very specific signature drinks, Peter did everything he could to make sure we were happy. A few months before our wedding date, Peter helped me book a Deluxe Suite at a discounted price for the night before our wedding (the night of wedding is included with your package). When I e-mailed him two days before the wedding to ask about early check-in he informed me that he upgraded me to the Grand Suite (double the size of my original suite) so that me and my bridesmaids would be comfortable when getting ready the morning of! Peter also knew that my husband had family coming over from France who didn't speak English so the day of the wedding he surprised us by telling us he had french speaking staff that would be serving Etienne's family during the reception. We were absolutely blown away! We had the ultimate dream team who took care of us leading up to and during the reception: Sonny was the maître d', Carla was his captain and Pang was my assistant. They were amazing and SO incredibly attentive. They were constantly making sure we were happy and had everything we needed, whether it was more food, more macarons, or more champagne! Pang was a dream to have around! She did not let my wedding dress train touch the floor all day and she was handing me water (with a straw!) between every photograph to make sure I was well hydrated!When initially researching venues on Long Island and in Manhattan I discovered that most of them have a minimum of 150 wedding guests, which didn't fit with our idea of an intimate wedding. We are so grateful to have enjoyed our 106 person wedding at The Garden City Hotel and we are so appreciative of Peter and the entire staff for helping to make our day so memorable! Our friends and family are still raving about the elegance and service of the hotel and about how much fun they had - we wish we could relive the day all over again!

My husband and I got married at the Garden City Hotel in May and we couldn't have been happier with the venue! Peter Stone was absolutely wonderful and a pleasure to work with. He accommodated any request I had from putting all our favors, napkins, menus, money box etc. all in his office to making sure my bridal party had a buffet breakfast while getting ready to helping us work with Carolina to design our wedding cake. We had about 270 guests and the room was a perfect size. Our maître D and bridal attendant were very attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed and constantly refreshed our drinks that would get watered down while we were busy dancing. My bridal attendant Maria went as far as to get me all the hair pins in the whole hotel because I wanted to put my hair up. The hotel was great to have our guests stay over for the night and we had a brunch the next morning that was so beautiful. Our guests were greeted with champagne, the food was excellent and displayed elegantly and the whole night went off without a hitch. We're so grateful to have had a memorable night with them. It was the first wedding for this father of the bride so it had to be done right. We were expecting over 200 guests with many needing overnight accommodations so our strong preference was for a venue that had great reception space and a high quality room offering. The Garden City Hotel was on the list of potential venues but after visiting a few and then meeting with Paul De La Vega at the hotel there really was no comparable place on Long Island. Paul has decades of experience which we leaned on very heavily. He made sure that we got the grand ballroom, grand terrace and rotunda set up perfectly for the cocktail hour and reception. He even added some stations to optimize the use of the space and ensure that people were not ever waiting for food or drink. Just as importantly he made sure that we made the right food choices given the crowd. He also made sure that I thought through every aspect of the wedding like ground transportation to the Cathedral of the Incarnation despite it being a short walk away. Our event was flawless because of Paul and the team at the Hotel who are like a symphony orchestra in action. This goes beyond the event staff and includes everyone at the hotel. Our guests could not say enough about the service, food, drink and venue. Paul allowed my wife and I to properly recognize this critical life event for our daughter and new son-in-law. We are also very grateful to Jerry Rizzo and the Maitre d' who both spent time that evening making sure everything was perfect. Best wedding I have attended thanks to the incredible people at The Garden City Hotel.

My husband and I got married in March 2017 at The Garden City Hotel.From the first phone call with Jerry Rizzo we knew that we had made the right choice.Everything was beyond amazing; the accommodations, the venue, the food, the staff & service. There was not one detail over looked or forgotten. Our food tasting was better served than most restaurants.Through out the whole process, Jerry and his staff, were easy to contact and very helpful with all of our questions and \"concerns'.Being at The Garden City Hotel, our wedding felt like a 'semi destination' wedding. We were able to use the hotel for our rehearsal dinner, getting ready, and had our after party on site which is a major plus! We even hosted a breakfast the next morning for all of our guests that stayed at the hotel with us.All of our guests agreed that our wedding at the GCH was one of the best weddings they had ever attended, and I do not believe that we could have hosted our wedding anywhere else and been this happy!It is also a plus that we are able to go back to the hotel to celebrate our anniversary and other mile stones in our lives.Once you visit the The Garden City Hotel, no other venue will compare.

Garden City Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Our wedding coordinator, The director of catering, Jerry Rizzo made this experience pleasurable. We still are getting messages and calls from our guests on how perfect and amazing everything was, topping the compliments is that we had the best cocktail hour. I would recommend this venue if you want a perfect, magical, easy wedding preparations and experience . Jerry and the team were there for anything needed through the whole day. My husband and I recently got married at the Garden City Hotel last month and it was absolutely amazing. We worked with Jerry throughout the entire process, he was an absolute pleasure to work with. As a bride you have many questions and concerns and he was there to assist me and answer any questions I had day or night 7 days a week. As for the actual day of the wedding it couldn't of been more perfect. Everything went even better then what they guaranteed. The staff was amazing there was 2 waiters per table which was great for my guests. The food was amazing!!! It was exactly as it was during the tasting. My guest left the venue extremely happy and full. I couldn't of picked a better venue to get married at. Everything was perfect!

Planning our wedding at The Garden City Hotel with Janine was amazing! We had family coming from multiple states so the location made sense not only for the ceremony and reception; but it also made it easy for family to stay all in one location. When we were planning the wedding there was no pressure to sign any contracts and we were able to tour the location as many times as needed. Janine was super helpful navigating a complicated family dynamic and made it easy for all parties to be involved in the planning. The day of the wedding was AMAZING! We used the Red Door Spa in the hotel which was convenient and the entire staff was ready to go when we arrived. The hotel is pet friendly which allowed our dogs to be part of the special day. Our guests could not say enough about the amazing service, food and again service. The staff helped us navigate where to be when so we didn’t miss a beat or have to worry about timing. I truly cannot say enough about the hotel, Janine and the staff; our wedding day was exactly how we wanted it to be. We can’t wait to go back for our anniversary!

My 'Husband' and I were beyond impressed by the service and event we experienced at The Garden City Hotel. We had our wedding at the hotel on 10/9/16. Looking back there was really nothing I would have changed. The staff at the hotel was so accommodating and made sure that ours and our guests' every need was met. Our coordinator, Janine Krafchin, was on top of every detail. Her attention to detail made me comfortable enough to know that my Bridezilla did not need to come out. She was incredibly professional and pulled off a great event. At the event, Carla and Sunny were our attendants. They were both accommodating and a pleasure to be around. I would recommend this venue to any bride. Even with my small wedding of about 110 people, we were treated like royalty.

There aren't enough positive things I can say about the GCH and the staff. We worked with Jerry and he was outstanding. No detail went unaddressed and he was a pleasure to work with! We felt at ease with Jerry throughout the planning process and knew we were in great hands. Every detail we asked for was executed flawlessly and they even thought of things we didn't even think about. The wedding itself was beautiful and our guests couldn't stop commenting about the hotel itself. The food was excellent from the cocktail hour to the reception. Everything about our wedding was perfect thanks to Jerry and the team at the GHC. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!!

Wow, I got married at The Garden City Hotel on 11/27/16 and it was absolutely wonderful! Jerry Rizzo met with me on multiple occasions to iron out every detail; so attentive to my needs, he worked with me to make it doable. Atef was the manager that night and made it possible for the night to flow so nicely. He coordinated with the DJ and photographer and monitored everything going on in the room which allowed me to just relax and enjoy it! It also ensured that all the activities I had wanted including photos at each table, the cake cutting, throwing of the bouquet, family dances, toasts could happen. Thank you Atef and Jerry! The venue is so elegant and beautiful..the main reception hall is just a dream with beautiful chandeliers; the best venue on Long Island and Brooklyn. With the pinpoint lighting on each table highlighting the flower arrangements and the warmth of the room, it is magical. Finally the service was out of this world; guests keep telling me someone was always there to fill their glass, fold their napkin even before they noticed it. The food was excellent; the sea bass was like butter melting in your mouth. The guests couldn't have been happier! A definite 5 star experience overall!

I cant believe I am writing this - The Garden City Hotel was my ONLY dissapointment. While the guests would have never known, there were quite a few hiccups behind the scenes. First upon arrival, a few of my guests got another parties welcome bag....and then a few didnt get one at all. Wedding day, lunch was supposed to be delivered on or before noon so my bridesmaids and I could eat before photographer arrived at 1. I had to call at 12:30 and it wasnt delivered until 1...Didnt get to eat. Then the family pictures, someone was supposed to direct family members where to go as the bride and groom were outside doing the reveal. No one came and left the grooms family waiting. My SIL even went to the front desk to inquire and was told they don't know and to just wait. 45 minutes later, they finally found us and we only had 10 minutes for pictures. I was told I would have a bridal attendant for the entire day...She didnt show up until 4:30 for a 5pm ceremony. Moment before the ceremony, I needed help to clean the train of my dress which got dirty outside during pictures. Her idea of help was bringing me a glass of seltzer. The PHOTOGRAPHER and her ASSISTANT were the ones to help me clean my dress while the bridal attendant stood close by and watched. I never saw her after that. In the end, the food was good, ambiance a given, loved having the Polo Lounge open for an after party and the guests were happy.

I should have listened to the previous review regarding staying the night... I did not have my wedding here, but chose this hotel for its reputation and for the proximity to my church. I had connecting rooms for my bridesmaids and myself for getting ready before the wedding. To start, the valet decided to rearrange my wedding gown on the cart and it ended up dragging the bottom on the floor (it was in a garment bag but seriously?!!). They told me they would bring it up, and that I could head up to my room without it (yeah no way!) My bridesmaids rooms were not entirely clean and had to have new sheets. The night was pleasant and restful. That morning, security decided to call me on my cell phone, not room phone, regarding my flower delivery. The fuses blew in the rooms, and maintenance took 45 minutes to get there, which I can understand emergencies happen. Then they called my room to complain about check out at 10:45. By the time I got downstairs my photographer was there and decided to snap a photo, to which the staff stated, \"she's not having her wedding here, so no photos!\" On the verge of tears, the bartender brought me water with a straw, and consoled me in my wedding dress. If I had to do this again, I would have just gotten ready at home!

From the moment we toured the venue my husband and I new we had to book here. Once we booked the venue it was smooth sailing. GCH is so professional and experienced. They are exceptional from start to finish and I the whole experience was fun and hassle free. The venue is breath taking but the service is a whole other level. Everyone we worked with made this experience extremely special. We had the pleasure of working with Janine Krafchin who is EXCEPTIONAL. I can't even express into words how unbelievable she is and how instrumental she was to the entire process. She was my lifeline and I highly recommend her for every bride. The weekend was perfect. Where do I even begin? My wedding day last Saturday 9/10/16 was absolutely magical, I couldn't have chosen a more perfect place than the Garden City Hotel to hold the most important day of my life. \"They\" say to brides before they get married, \"expect at least one thing to go wrong that day, that way you won't be disappointed when it happens.\" Well, it was safe to say, that was not the case and my wedding could not have been more perfect, and everything exceeded my expectations. Mike and I worked with Jerry Rizzo throughout our planning. Jerry truly is the most pleasant and genuine man I have ever met. Every question, concern, email, phone call, Jerry was so quick to respond. As our wedding got closer, Jerry asked us about specialty cocktails we wanted for the wedding, I remember asking if the hotel had fig vodka to make fig martini's, but they didn't at the time so I had to come up with another drink of choice. Sure enough, a week later talking to him, he let me know he brought in fig vodka to make my special martini's and I didn't even have to ask him to do that. Something so little, could affect us in the biggest way! We want to thank Jerry a million times over for making sure everything went perfectly and smoothly. Jerry and his staff really did go above and beyond, outstanding job!Not only did we love Jerry, but Atef, our maître D, was there throughout our wedding to make sure everything ran on time, with no hiccups. Atef made sure we were the first in our ballroom to take everything in, look at our cake and let him know if anything needed to be changed before the guests walked in (which nothing had to be changed of course!) Atef asked us if we needed anything throughout the night, and if so, it was there within seconds. Atef also made sure Mike's Tux jacket was on while cutting our cake (thanks atef! pictures looked phenomenal). Mostly, we want to thank Atef for the wonderful job himself and his staff did for us. Special thanks to my bridal attendant Maria, as well, for making sure I said hello to as many guests as I could at cocktail hour, and for helping me with my dress, making sure I ate, and drank enough water. I wish I also got Mikes groom attendants name because he was really spot on at getting whatever Mike needed! The food. was. exceptional. SO many family and friends could not stop talking about the food at our wedding. We already knew how amazing it was at our tasting, but it really was spectacular. Lastly, my cake was the most beautiful thing ever created. I sent a picture to Jerry a while back asking if it was possible. Sure enough, Karen made it EXACT and I was so so happy. It also tasted amazing and I can't wait to eat it again on our first anniversary!My wedding was surreal. Elegant and classy. All with our biggest thanks to the GCH's wonderful staff and beautiful ballroom. It was truly a night to remember.

I'm reallllly going to keep this SHORT and to the point!! UNNNN'BELIEVEABLE!!! Over the past few months I've become very familiar with this hotel and it's AMAZING STAFF!! From the time we arrived on my wedding day until the day we checked out - SUPPA DUPPA NIIIIIIICE!!!! Alllllll my guests had a wonderful & fun time - VERRRRY PLEASED WITH THE FOOD!! The overall hotel décor made my wedding day and pics simply BEAUTIFUL!! I'm a major fan of Peter Stone, Meghan Robinson - nooooo matter how many little / big questions I had, they had ALL THE ANSWERS and were very resourceful!! I apologize, but I can't remember the names of the staff that assisted me and my Groom on our special day, but they were also AMAZING!!!!

I celebrated my wedding there this past Saturday, August 27th and the Garden City Hotel surpassed expectations in every way imaginable. Everyone warned me that at least one thing would go wrong on my wedding day but never did I imagine that my make-up artist would cancel on me the morning of my wedding. Not knowing what else to do, I called the front desk in a panic (at 540am) to see if they could coordinate with the Red Door Spa within the hotel to fit me in that morning to get my makeup done (I had a 12pm ceremony start time). This is where the staff at the Garden City Hotel stepped up to the plate. The front desk manager Anthony, maitre de Bebe, and event coordinator Janine, did all that they could to comfort a very distraught bride and ultimately coordinate getting my make-up done as well as my sister's makeup as soon as the salon opened, for which I will always be grateful. They saved my wedding day and despite the morning delays, kept us on schedule. Janine was nothing short of amazing throughout the day and I promise that you will be in a good hands if you work with her. I also wanted to mention that prior to the event day we worked with Executive Catering Director Jerry Rizzo, who helped us plan the whole wedding from beginning to end, and really set the stage for a fabulous event. All of our guests were extremely complementary towards the food served, not only during the cocktail hour (special praise towards the raw bar, mushroom station and brisket) but towards the main meal as well. Our guests loved the salmon and filet mignon!! We had the vienesse table included as part of our package and along with the wedding cake it was the perfect end to the day. Lastly I wanted to mention that I appreciate Garden City Hotel's flexibility with working with us to pull off a small and intimate wedding. We had 84 guests, and where as other venues refused to work with a guest list under 100 people for a Saturday wedding, they were willing to accommodate us and still make us feel very special on our wedding day. Our wedding was held in the Societe suite which set the perfect atmosphere for an elegant celebration. Thank you Janine, Jerry and Bebe for giving us a wedding to remember!

My wedding at the Garden City Hotel could not be any less spectacular. Janine, our coordinator, was absolute fabulous and helped us create an evening more magical and spectacular than I could have imagined. The Garden City Hotel has it's own private wing for its event where your guests can seamlessly move from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception without interacting with the hotel guests. All of the staff at the Garden City Hotel was amazing and everything turned out better than I could have expected. Guest accommodations were wonderful and any problems encountered were quickly fixed and remedied. If I had to do it all over again, the one thing I definitely would not change is the location.

Not only is the food impeccable and the setting elegant, but I felt like I had my own personal wedding planner throughout the whole process. I was lucky enough to work with Janine Krafchin who was nothing but sweet, lovely, accommodating, and there for me through my whole engagement. We constantly communicated throughout the planning process and she was more than accommodating for not just my husband and I, but for our families. If you are looking for a hidden Long Island gem with great service, attention to detail, and food, than the GCH is the perfect spot. My wedding was truly incredible and I couldn't have imagine it being anywhere else. My guests also felt the same and loved the evening. Definitely book here and ask for Janine! =)

My family and I have dined at the Garden City Hotel for years and absolutely loved every experience, but our wedding day was far beyond our expectations (which were already high :))! We worked with Paul De La Vega and his catering team to plan each aspect of our wedding, which was in the main ballroom. Everyone who works there is extremely professional and kind. From our numerous planning visits, to the AMAZING tasting, to our actual wedding day, I loved everyone we met. I remember telling Paul that I wanted the ballroom to look like the picture on their website, and he assured me it would look even better. After our wedding ceremony and pictures, we were able to get a sneak peak of the ballroom before our guests. I actually teared up at how beautiful everything was. Their lighting was just perfect, dim, yet each centerpiece and the cake had pin lights illuminating them. Beyond that, our guests were raving about the food and drink service. The food was so delicious with great options for all guests. The wedding cake was beautifully designed and equally tasty! The bar team even served a signature drink, named after our dog, at the bar! They accommodated so many little details which really made our day so special. Our wedding was Saturday, July 2nd, but I was able to drop everything off the Wednesday before. I remember my stress levels dropping immediately after that meeting because I knew they had everything covered after that. I was so happy and relaxed during our wedding day, and I know that was because of the Garden City Hotel! :)

There could not be enough positive things to say about Peter Stone and his team at GCH! Our entire wedding, from the day we chose the venue straight through the brunch were perfect. No detail was spared, the staff really helps you make you think of everything. The food was incredible, the room is so elegant and special and the hotel worked very well with our vendors to make sure everything ran according to schedule without me or my family having to worry about a thing. The maitre d' Atef was so accommodating the night of the party and make sure we were catered to all evening! I think this is one of the most unique wedding venues on Long Island, especially having a beautiful place for all your guests to spend the night, it really gives you that feel of a destination wedding. It's been 3 months and we are still getting positive feedback on the night. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I cannot put into words how truly amazing The Garden City Hotel was for my recent January wedding!! I grew up in Garden City so have been familiar with the hotel forever, but had never been to a wedding there. When we got engaged and began discussing reception venues, this was top of the list based on everything we have heard from friends who've been there for weddings before!\rWe knew the hotel would be wonderful, but wow!!! It is and was PERFECT!!!!\rPeter Stone and his staff are extremely kind, courteous, accommodating and professional!! He was such a pleasure to deal with and he made my mom and I feel so at ease through the whole planning process - I knew our wedding was in wonderful hands. The food at the hotel is amazing! Everything is delicious and it was almost impossible to decide what to serve! The cocktail hour was spectacular - slider station, Asian station, raw bar! The staff was extremely sweet and made sure everyone had everything they needed (drinks, food, etc). The grand ballroom is absolutely gorgeous! All of our friends and family are still raving about the wedding almost a month later! I stayed at the hotel in a suite the night before the wedding and Peter made sure to send breakfast up for me and my team (hair, make up, family) while we were getting ready. They truly care about their brides and grooms - every last little detail you wouldn't even think about was covered! Every single employee at the hotel was beyond gracious to us, our friends and family for the entire weekend. As my husband and I were leaving the hotel Sunday, every single employee wished us well, said good bye - they truly care!! If you are debating having your wedding here I HIGHLY recommend it!! You will not be disappointed!!!!

We had our wedding at The Garden City Hotel in January 2016 and can't stop raving. We worked with Peter Stone and from start to finish the service was impeccable. No detail went unaddressed and Peter was responsive to emails on every topic at every hour. The entire staff went out of their way to meet our every need not only on our wedding day but the entire year leading up to it. Our guests were beyond WOWed by the amazing food, accessibility to the bars and beauty of the room. Having our wedding at the hotel made it feel more like a destination as many guests stayed for the weekend. Being able to make a weekend of it made our wedding even more memorable. Many people say that long island weddings can't compare to NYC - but the garden city hotel disproves that. From the pace to the flow to the food , staff and decor.... Everything was A+!!!! We had 300+ people and peter and team's experience was evident in how well they manuevered the crowd throughout the night.

The entire process with the team at the hotel was unrivaled. \r\rJanine was our go-to person and the main reason we initially selected The Garden City Hotel as our venue. Her personality and professionalism made her and the hotel the obvious choice for our ceremony and reception. Her responsiveness, attention to detail, positive attitude and pure friendliness made her the perfect partner for our wedding. She even unexpectedly played a primary role in surprising me for my bridal shower! They truly go above and beyond. \r\rThe hotel's beauty (especially at Christmas time), food, staff, and overall accommodations are 5 star. We cannot imagine having had our wedding anywhere else!

There are three points I want to make, first the food is superb, second, the staff makes every guest feel important and Jerry personally keep checking during the party and third, afterwards several guests told me this was the best wedding reception they had ever attended. I am so happy to have chosen the Garden City Hotel.

We had our wedding at the Garden City Hotel October 11, 2015. What an amazing night, thanks to the amazing staff, and Catering manager, Peter Stone. I can't thank them enough for the outstanding job in every aspect of our wedding night. I was not sure where to have our wedding, as their are so many options on Long Island. After seeing a few venues, unimpressed, we then met with Peter Stone and I was blown away by his presentation, menu, the grand ballroom and services provided. From that moment, I knew we had to have our wedding here. Peter Stone accommodated us in every way, and recommended vendors. We ended up using the vendors he recommended for the wedding who all turned out to be fantastic! The vendors we used, work with the hotel on a lot of events, so they all work well together which made the day go smoothly. Everything about this venue was convenient and excellent. A lot of out of town guests stayed over night, we had our after party at the Posh Lounge in the hotel, and had breakfast at the Polo Lounge the next morning. The food is excellent, the cocktail hour was incredible, serving over 10 food stations. The waiting staff and service was so professional, clean cut and hands on at every table. The best part about this venue, is that there is one grand ballroom, which means you are the only event in this venue the day of your wedding. At a regular catering hall you have up to five weddings going on at the same time which can be chaotic. This venue is all about the bride and groom the day of your wedding, which makes it special. The grand ballroom is gorgeous, and large enough to hold a big wedding like mine, of 370 guests. I could not think of a better place to have my wedding and was so happy with everything, it truly was a magical night. Every guest had a great time, and complimented the venue and service there. I highly recommend for your wedding day!

Garden City Hotel is 40 minutes on the Hempstead line and right across the street from the train station.\r- We had 6 months to plan the wedding, so we wanted a venue that covered as many facets of the planning as possible. His staff literally took care of all the setup and takedown for every aspect of the scene. We didn’t need to hire a wedding planner because Paul really provided that service as a whole. \r\rWe trust the Garden City Hotel and its staff, and while it was pricey, I think it would have evened out to about the same price if we did it ourselves. That being said, we still made the wedding feel very DIY with the little details he let us place into the ceremony, reception, and all the details with the vendors. \r\rUnlike some one-stop-shops, we didn’t feel limited by the venue and we thought everything really turned out swimmingly.\r

After I got engaged I knew picking a venue would be the hardest decision I had to make but after seeing the Ballroom at The Garden City Hotel and meeting with Janine, I knew it was the perfect place. Janine was SO easy to work with and made the whole process effortless from beginning to end. I never felt like I was bothering her with my numerous questions and anything I wanted - she made happen! She was always so happy and excited to hear my ideas that it truly made planning the wedding so much more enjoyable which I know can get overwhelming sometimes. \r\rThe wedding itself was perfect, my guests are still talking about it. The service was great and everyone that works at the hotel was always so nice and accommodating. I couldn't imagine having my wedding anywhere else!

My wife and I are discerning NYC professionals, so we rarely use the word “perfect” to describe customer service. However, the Garden City team and the venue itself were perfect. Our point of contact was Jerry Rizzo. He was easy to work with, incredibly accommodating, and a seasoned pro who literally thought of everything for our big day. The ballroom and the rooms off of the ballroom were both extremely beautiful and incredibly utilitarian for our large wedding (200+) people. The food and the wait staff were amazing. Such incredible personal touches by the whole team. It is our pleasure to unequivocally recommend the Garden City hotel and its superior team.

Jerry Rizzo and his entire staff at the Garden City Hotel made my Wedding Day - 'A dream come true\".\rThey went far and beyond what was expected to make sure that every detail was perfect. They worked with our wedding planner helping to organize even the smallest detail. There wasn't anything I could ask for that was not immediately looked after and made perfect. I recently got married at The Garden City Hotel, and I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was. From the very beginning, my husband and I got the best feeling from the place, and we were treated fabulously. We worked with Janine, who was the absolute best. She anticipated anything we may have needed it, and had it taken care of immediately. I knew I was in good hands with her, and that I had nothing to worry about. My husband and I felt completely taken care of the entire time. The staff at the hotel made us feel so special the entire time. The food was amazing, and all of our guests commented about how the service was impeccable. I would not have changed a thing. Everyone at the hotel made sure that things ran smoothly, and helped to make it the wedding of our dreams!

We worked with Peter Stone, who made our dream wedding come to life. Working with Peter was a wonderful experience. He made wedding planning easy! He was always available and he helped plan a magical night. The venue is gorgeous and I am extremely happy with my entire wedding night!

We had our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and morning after brunch on New Year's Eve 2014 at the Garden City Hotel. All our guests, 80 in total, stayed over the night so we had 40 rooms. Our overall experience with the Hotel was outstanding. The event coordinator worked with us and provided suggestions from the table centerpieces, to the timing of our events, to the menu selections. Knowing he was working with us made everything about the planning process so much easier and less stressful. He was also there on site for our big day. The maitre de and staff that serviced our event were so professional and friendly every guest at our wedding felt special on our wedding day. The woman who worked with us on the room accommodations was professional, responsive and helpful. The hotel was even able to accommodate a late checkout for all of our guests the following day. This venue is classy and romantic, the food delicious, and the staff service impeccable. Our families want to come back again next year to party again !!\r

We recently got married here a few weeks ago and we couldn't have asked for a better venue or staff. We worked closely with Jerry Rizzo and he was very accommodating and made sure to provide us with everything we needed. On the day of, we had the A-team staff working closely with us the entire night and doing everything they could to make the night run smoothly. Sonny and Kelly were especially attentive and catered to our every need. Kelly helped bustle my dress and made sure we had food from cocktail hour even though we were rushing around and taking pictures. The level of professionalism was outstanding and just made the night so much more enjoyable and less stressful. Don't think twice about reserving this venue because it's a guaranteed winner! We would do it again year after year if we could!

Please note: I did NOT use the Garden City Hotel as my wedding venue. I used it only for room accommodations for myself, the wedding party, and wedding guests. My actual reception was at the nearby Cherry Valley Club, which was an absolutely fantastic venue and I can't sing their praises enough!\r\rThe Garden City Hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very nice and comfortable, but they are under new management and seem to be still getting their act together. I had booked a block of rooms for guests, at the rate of $220 per room. On the pricey side, but not entirely unexpected for this part of Long Island.\r\rThe hotel was very busy (I think they said 6 weddings were staying there) and they did not seem to be properly staffed to handle the volume. They forgot to hand out the welcome bags to several guests, messed up one bridesmaid's reservation (though they upgraded her to the penthouse floor as an apology) and gave several other wedding party members grief for trying to check in 30 minutes early so that they could get ready for the wedding. There seemed to be a lot of communication issues, and any contact with staff/front desk was frazzled and hectic. They refused to let my florist into the hotel despite the front desk contacting my husband several times and getting his permission to let them in. By the time they let her in, we had to scramble and were running late for the ceremony.\r\rOver all, it's a very nice place. We had a bunch of annoying setbacks, but nothing very major. I stuck with them because they were the closest hotel to my venue.

From our first appointment at the Garden City Hotel (GCH) we were incredibly impressed. Our point of contact was Janine Krafchin and she allowed us to not worry one time during the six months we planned our wedding. That made a huge difference in our experience because when all was said and done, Janine and her team delivered on every detail and then some that we didn't even think of. The bridal attendant that I had, Ari, was amazing. I didn't even know what I needed her for and by the end of the day I couldn't imagine the day without her. Sonny, our banquet manager has the best team working the event. They were everywhere at all times, but you never noticed them; only that your glass was never empty and you wanted for nothing for very long. Sonny did an excellent job keeping the evening on track and communicating with the band and the photographer. I was very impressed with how well they worked together. After the wedding the team took care of getting all of the \"stuff\" (candles, table numbers, gifts, etc) organized beautifully and back up to our room so we could go down to the lounge. We had mini french fry cones and other treats brought out a little while later for those guests still enjoying the night. It was such a fun carryover for the guests and we arranged all of that before hand. The hotel staff overall provided a great experience to our guests. We had 40-50 people staying at the hotel and they all had a pleasant experience starting with check in. On the night before our wedding we had a 40 person dinner in the private room at the Polo Steakhouse. The ambiance was perfect and the once again the service was great. Janine co-ordinated all of that as well and we wanted for nothing. Food was outstanding and it was so fun to move right over into the Polo Lounge after the dinner. The steakhouse private room and the lounge are very intimate spots where you feel more like you are hosting a private event than out at a restaurant somewhere. \rPrior to planning this wedding, I had never set foot in the GCH - I just knew how beautiful it looked for the years I had been driving by it. To say it met my expectations was an understatement. We can't wait to go back and have brunch or go to the new spa. \rOne last thought - this is not an \"inexpensive\" event and as you are nearing the end and looking at the $$ it can be overwhelming. It took no time at all after we arrived and throughout the entire wedding to realize that we go our money's worth and way more. You are paying for the best of everything and our guests all validated that after the fact. Food, atmosphere, service, everything - top notch, classy, best ever!!

When we first got engaged we started to begin our search for the perfect reception site. I was born and raised in garden city, and had always dreamed of a wedding at the hotel. However, we did look at other sites including Oheka Castle. Upon meeting Jerry Rizzo, catering manager at the Garden City Hotel, and touring the facility, we knew that this was the place for us. \r\rFrom start to finish, Jerry and the hotel were a dream to work with. Jerry assisted in organizing our engagement brunch, and ensured that it was perfect. Every little detail was absolutely seamless. \r\rWhen it came to actually planning the reception, once again Jerry was fantastic. Any question I had was quickly answered, and the entire staff was a pleasure. \r\rThe wedding reception itself was a blast! We had approximately 200 people and it was held in the grand ballroom. Every one of our guests raved about the food, the attentive service, and how stunning the ballroom was. The staff at the hotel made our day absolutely perfect. Jose and Ari were beyond amazing and went above and beyond for us, including making sure we actually ate! Ari went out to the cocktail hour and got me a sampling of my favorites foods so that I could take a few moments and relax quietly in the bridal room. She was phenomenal!\r\rAtef, the maitre de was superb and really made sure everything ran like clockwork. Everyone's efforts were tremendously appreciated by myself, my husband, my family and our guests. \r\ri truly do not have the words to say how perfect our wedding was. Every detail was magnificent! I would highly recommend the garden city hotel for a wedding or event. Specifically, I would recommend working with Jerry Rizzo. I have to say, he is a true class act and helped to make our experience fantastic!\r\r\r

The event space itself was beautiful, and it was very convenient for my guests to stay at the hotel. I received rave reviews regarding the food, service and overall decor of the Garden City Hotel. The Garden City Hotel executed every second of our wedding weekend flawlessly. From the incredible pent house suites for myself and the bridal party to get ready in, to the Society suite for our ceremony and next-day brunch, to the stunning ballroom, everything was absolutely perfect. The food was so delicious and they were happy to accommodate my celiac disease by making sure I had non-contaminated gluten free food the entire weekend. We worked with Jerry who made the experience of planning our wedding a joy. He was always there whenever we needed him throughout the whole planning process and he was there the ENTIRE weekend of our wedding to make sure everything went smoothly. The staff at the Garden City Hotel is amazing and made sure that we had everything we needed and more. It is an incredibly beautiful venue that easily held all of our guests for both the ceremony and reception. The staff demonstrated such an exceptional level of service and professionalism that I have never before experienced. I will be forever grateful to Jerry and the Garden City Hotel for giving me and my husband the wedding of our dreams!

The Garden City Hotel provided the picture-perfect wedding that I had longed for as a little girl. The venue is romantic and beautifully decorated with chandeliers and gold accents. I was told by guests that it felt like a \"royal wedding,\" and I couldn't agree more. My bridal attendant took care of me like a queen, by my side with food and drinks, checking my every needs. The staff was prompt and professional. Our banquet manager was attentive throughout all of the planning stages and flexible with any input or changes we made. Best of all, the food was magnificent! The reputation this venue has for food is spot-on. My guests are still commenting on the dishes and comparing the quality and presentation to top restaurants in the NYC area. The convenience of the hotel rooms was ideal for guests traveling from out of town; however, the nightly rate for my guests was too high, in my opinion. Overall, I am overjoyed and incredibly grateful to my parents for giving us such a beautiful wedding. I would recommend this venue in a heartbeat.

In July 2014, the Garden City Hotel hosted my Friday night dinner and Sunday brunch before and after my wedding. Our entire wedding hotel block also stayed at the hotel.\r\rThe Garden City Hotel was easy to work with, professional throughout the entire process, pleasant, and happy to meet all of our needs, from food restrictions and allergies to room requests and last minute changes. We received many compliments on the quality of the food for both the dinner and the brunch, as well as the extensive menu for the Friday night buffet. The rooms that we were given were gorgeous and the service was wonderful. \r\rThank you so much for helping to make our special weekend stress-free and wonderful!

I am so thrilled that we had decided to have my daughters wedding at the Garden City Hotel. While it has a reputation for being a wonderful place for any event, it surpassed all of our expectations. The recent renovations were done tastefully and only added to the elegance of the hotel. When I saw the ballroom set up just before the affair began, it took my breath away. \rMr. Rizzo, the Director of Catering had assured us that the food would be sensational and he did not lie. The food stations at the cocktail hour were incredible with a wide variety of delicious foods. They were displayed beautifully and were plentiful. The main course was a huge hit with our guests with special praise for the filet mignon and the sea bass. The service was fantastic with drinks offered continuously and napkins folded by the wait staff. The Viennese table included a chocolate fountain and a wide variety of desserts that could not have been tastier. I have nothing but praise and gratitude for the care that was taken to make my daughter and new son in laws wedding so special. In this day and age when short cuts are often taken, rest assured that is not the policy at the Garden City Hotel. It was truly an amazing experience with our guests commenting that it was the very best wedding they had ever attended. I am so very thankful to Mr. Rizzo and his staff.\r

I wanted to have a small wedding (less than 15 people) and was concerned that most places would not be interested in working with me. The Garden City Hotel was phenomenal. They had great ideas and made our wedding day a wonderful experience for everyone involved. The food was excellent! One of the reasons that it was such a great event was that the people that work there are professional, creative, and extremely attentive to detail. It meant that I spent more time in the lead up to my wedding focusing on other things instead of whether everything would work out perfectly. And, it did work out perfectly!
