The view, staff, food and vibes were incredible here! We just had our wedding on 12/2/23 and are still on cloud 9. Bridget was efficient and helpful throughout the entire process. Fatima was incredible on the day of! She helped keep us fed, hydrated and made sure we were having fun. The venue was stunning and everyone loved the space. Thank you to The Garrison & all your staff for making our wedding dreams come true!

I had a wedding here last 11/10/23 , me and my husband was so very happy that we chose this place as our wedding venue. The staff were amazing and very professional. They pay attention to the guests and specifically to me as a bride. The bridal assistant Fatima was very helpful and she made me feel comfortable on my wedding day. Bridget the wedding coordinator, she was very helpful to us specially throughout our wedding planning and helping us with the time line. Adam also did a very good job during our rehearsal dinner. The venue is very picturesque and the food is so amazing . Everything is perfect!

Bridget and her entire team catered to our every request (and there was a lot), worked with us on all cultural elements we needed, and made sure that the day of was super super smooth. The food and presentation was impeccable. Honestly, this venue deserves all the stars it can get. The venue itself is the most picturesque we have ever seen, and all our guests were blown away by its beauty. So were we.

Wow, where to even start this review? One sentence can sum it up; our wedding day was absolutely flawless from start to finish. Our wedding date was 6/2/2023 and from the 1st day since we signed our contract with The Garrison in April of 2022, I had the utmost pleasure of working with Annie throughout our planning. She was super attentive, quick to respond, and patient with all of my questions, changes, and thoughts when it came to planning. She was honest and always gave great suggestions when I wasn’t sure about something, and I am definitely type A when it comes to certain things but Annie was always able to reassure me that our wedding day would be perfect no matter what and sure enough, she was right! The day of our wedding, Fatima was my bridal assistant and she super attentive, always catering to me and my hubby if we needed anything from food, drinks, assistance with outfits changes, anything! The bridal suite was also convenient for my bridal party to get ready in and kept everyone in one place. Our guests raved about the food, the staff, and of course the wonderful views! Richard and Fatima ended the night with us and helped us pack everything in an organized and efficient manner. We stayed in The Inn the night before, and the room was clean and cozy with amenities available. Would definitely recommend this venue for any event! Thank you so so much for everything! If you are looking for the most perfect wedding venue in the hudson valley, look no further because the Garrison is the answer! I can't believe it's already been almost two months since my husband and I had our wedding here because I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. The Garrison has everything you could possibly ever want and need in a wedding venue. 1) The views - the possibilities for photos are endless with absolutely gorgeous views of the hudson river and such well kept grounds. They even provide a golf cart for you to get around which made for a fun little adventure. 2) The food - I can't say enough about how delicious the food was and neither could our guests! People couldn't stop raving about the endless options at cocktail hour and the tenderness of their steaks, many proclaiming that this was the best food they had ever had at a wedding before. 3) The staff and management team - I saved the best for last here, because our day would not have been as perfect as it was without the help of the exceptional staff at the Garrison. Annie was our coordinator and she made us feel so comfortable the minute we met her when we toured the venue which was a huge selling point when we made our decision. She was so responsive to both mine and my husband's continuous emails and phone calls with questions and never made it seem like we were bothering her. She really went out of her way to make sure our day went more smoothly than I could have ever imagined and I really can't thank her enough! Tara, our assistant always made sure our drinks were full, set up food for us so we could have time alone after our ceremony, drove us around in the golf cart, and overall just made sure I was always ok. The Garrison is the perfect place to have a wedding-- besides the stunning venue and views and the incredible food, everyone we worked with made our day the best day of our lives. Annie made the entire process enjoyable and as easy as possible, and is an absolute GEM! She is truly the best of the best. Day of, everyone made us feel so welcome and taken care of-- the bridal assistant Fatima went above and beyond for me. Even though we ended up having to have our ceremony indoors because of rain, I couldn't have asked for a more magical day. I had my wedding at The Garrison venue, and everything was beyond my expectations, my outdoor ceremony was intimate and beautiful. I don’t even know where to begin… The Garrison is absolutely magical!!! Our wedding day was perfect. Every person we worked with was wonderful. Bridget Bell, our day of coordinator, helped me find the perfect vendors and brought my vision to life. She was with me every step of the way. The views and venue itself cannot be beat. The Hudson River with mountains behind is a backdrop that cannot be beat. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. I feel so lucky to have found this magical place to have the best day of my life!!

The Garrison is the perfect venue. Everything about it is beautiful, from the amazing views to the indoor decor. The staff are incredible to work with, especially Annie. They handle so many aspects of the wedding planning process for you and truly give exceptional service before and during the wedding. The food, drinks, and included wedding cake are all phenomenal. My wedding at The Garrison this August 2023 was a dream come true. From the day I met Annie R. I knew I was in good hands. She was so helpful and accommodating isn't the word. My husband and I are both vegan and it was very important to us to have all vegan food at our wedding. When I brought this up to Annie she actually seemed excited and was very encouraging in our decision. And the food ended up being incredible! The day of the wedding I didn't worry about a thing because I knew she was handling everything. The whole team at this venue is very professional and they all work together so well. My day of bridal assistant Fatima was also just amazing. She made sure I was drinking enough water all day, calmed me down when I was sobbing just before walking down the aisle, and best of all packed us a bag of dessert for us to take at the end of the night. My wedding party and guests were so impressed by the stunning the view, the friendly staff and the delicious food. Booking this venue will be the best decision you make for your wedding day and I feel so grateful to have done so myself.

The perfect venue DOES exist and it is the Garrison. I’ve worked and been to a ton of weddings, and this is easily the best venue I’ve ever been to. I know I sound biased because it was where I had my wedding, but all my guests said it as well. The grounds are beautiful. Between the wild flowers and the view, it will take your breath away. There are so many amazing spots to take photos! The venue provides a golf kart so you can get around quickly without having to hike. All of my photos look like a dream. Inside the venue is so cute. The barn doors behind the bar + wood flooring everywhere gives that fresh boho vibe! The bridal suite comes equipped with hair and makeup chairs. It’s a great place to store your stuff throughout the night since the doors lock. The food was absolutely incredible. I had so many guests message me days after saying how it was the best steak they’ve had. The whole staff paid close attention to our families and kept checking in on them. My brother and mother in law are both vegan and they got amazing entrees with fresh ingredients / they made them both huge trays of apps during cocktail hour. Most weddings they only get a plate of vegetables so this was an awesome surprise. With your day comes a coordinator and bridal attendant. We absolutely loved them both! Annie was such a big help from day 1. I never felt stressed because she was there to answer every question, and offer solutions and advice. She made sure our wedding ran smoothly, and truly created the best day of our lives for us. Our attendant Fatima was awesome. She had such a positive attitude and was running around all day for us. She kept making sure our drinks were never empty, and checking that we had everything we needed. I love how the two of them kept creating special alone time for my husband and I + making us plates of food so we didn’t miss out. At the end of the night they had everything neatly packed up for us so we didn’t have to stress! I can’t say enough good things about the Garrison. I am so so grateful we decided to have our wedding here, and will spend my life day dreaming about the perfect day they created for us.

Annie, Richie, Fatima and the team at the garrison are truly one of a kind! Annie was amazing through the entire planning process and her team was phenomenal on the day of our wedding. They truly went above and beyond! The views at the Garrison are the best in the Hudson Valley and the grounds are stunning. The food was delicious, especially the raw bar and sushi bar during cocktail hour. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue.

Having our wedding at The Garrison was the best decision we could’ve made. During the entire process, our coordinator Annie was a complete gem. She was extremely helpful and transparent about the process from the start. She was always there as a sounding board for any wedding ideas we had and was able to give her professional opinion on what typically works and what doesn’t; this helped us stay within budget. Annie was constantly available over email which helped make this process so much easier. She gave us a list of The Garrison’s recommended vendors; which helped us put together our dream team for the wedding. The food at the Garrison is fantastic. We had a variety of options to choose from for our guests to have for both the cocktail hour and dinner. While they don’t offer wedding tastings, you can taste-test their food/chefs at The Valley Restaurant, which is adjacent to the venue. At the restaurant, we even had a cocktail that we ended up asking for as a specialty cocktail at our wedding.Right across the river from West Point, The Garrison has beautiful views of the Hudson Valley. And beautiful views mean… beautiful pictures! The photos we took at The Garrison were all incredible thanks to (1) the photographer we selected from The Garrison’s recommended vendors list and (2) the variety of scenes they have on the property. While the entire property is beautifully kept, they had some particularly elegant sections near the pond, with stone architecture, and overlooking the valley that only helped enhance our photos. It was truly a breathtaking scene that had everyone asking us how we even found the place. The Garrison team has weddings down to a science. Annie, the bridal coordinator, the staff, the bartenders, and the chefs were truly incredible and helped our wedding vision come to life. They helped my husband and I actually enjoy our wedding day, instead of stressing that everything was in place.It’s now a few months later and our guests are still raving about how everything at the wedding was just perfect. It was simply an amazing experience, and we could not have asked for anything better.

The Garrison is an exceptional wedding venue. Bridget and her team are a well oiled machine and we felt supported throughout the whole process. The literature about wedding packages is clear and comprehensive and we were thrilled with the attention to detail in executing our event. Day of, Bridget set up the indoor ceremony space as well as the outdoor ceremony space and gave us the confidence to have our December wedding outdoors with the stunning scenery. It was a game time decision and the staff reset everything on the fly. The food, the service, the facilities, all were top notch. Our guests raved about the views! During our initial planning meeting, we were given a list of recommended vendors and had a great experience with the vendors that we booked. I also went to a Bridal Show at the Garrison and got to see the space and meet vendors in person. The Bridal Suite is spacious and well-lit with natural light. I highly recommend booking out the Inn, it was great to have a space for family members to stay on site and it made the morning of flow smoothly. At the end of the night, we didn't have to worry about anything! Bridget even organized for a local nonprofit to come and pick-up our flowers to donate to nursing homes in the area. In short, my husband and I are already talking about driving up to stay at the Inn, eat at the Valley Restaurant and reminisce! Thank you to the Garrison team!

Picking the Garrison as our wedding venue was the best decision we made! Not only is the venue itself STUNNING and surrounded by a beautiful landscape, but the food is INCREDIBLE, the staff is kind and professional, and most important our coordinator, Annie, is a reason in itself to choose the Garrison. She guided us through everything and was extremely communicative, answered all of our questions, walked us through what we need to know to prepare for the wedding and the day of the wedding. She was by our side the entire day with her staff to ensure everything went perfectly. Honestly, I never stressed once about the wedding or the venue - plus they have a great rain plan, which takes some stress off your plate (since you can’t control the weather!)

The outside vendors that we selected based on The Garrison's recommendations also did an outstanding job.One thing we really appreciated was the venue's flexibility regarding whether the ceremony would be indoors or outdoors. We had hoped for an outdoor ceremony, but it was raining on and off throughout the day. The Garrison was prepared to have the ceremony either indoors or out and was able to make a last-minute change to have it indoors. Some other venues we considered required that the decision be made days in advance. The bride was thankful that she didn't need to make that decision.The views at the location are amazing, even in bad weather. Windows line an entire wall and afford great views of the Hudson River and surrounding mountains. The arrangement of the rooms accommodates an easy flow from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception.Now that the adjoining golf course has closed, there are ample opportunities for outdoor photos in natural settings.The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival now holds seasonal performance on the site, and one was underway while we were there, but it was far enough away that you would never know it.Since the wedding, our guests have been telling us how much they enjoyed it and how outstanding the food was.

Our wedding at The Garrison was pure magic. I never imagined I would feel so at ease as a bride, and that was in large part due to Bridget and her team. The day ran seamlessly thanks to all of their hard work and planning. The food was incredible (and they made sure my husband and I actually got to eat it, which having worked as a wedding catering waitress in the past I can assure you doesn’t always happen!), the set up was perfect, the servers were kind and professional, and HUGE shout out to Jessica who was the most amazing bridal attendant.Aside from the consummately professional staff and Michelin-worthy food, the venue itself is just gorgeous. They recently added new hardwood floors that took the already beautiful reception space up a notch, the view — the VIEW! — is spectacular and something our guests brought up over and over. It’s Hudson Valley magic at its finest. My husband and I were thrilled with every part of our wedding day. As Hudson Valley natives, we were so excited to show our guests the beauty of where we grew up, and The Garrison was the perfect place to do just that. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

We truly couldn’t have had a more magical experience on our special day at the Garrison. From the incredible staff to the breathtaking views, we had the best day ever! We had a Covid wedding, which means our experience dated back to 2019, when we were originally supposed to get married in 2020 at the Garrison. We all know what happened then! Throughout all of the uncertainty and rescheduling, the Garrison remained flexible and adapted to our needs and wishes. It was well worth the wait! Bridget, our wedding coordinator, was a star. When one of our shuttles left a hotel lobby full of guests and we were notified, Bridget seamlessly took care of the situation without a hitch, which left us stress free. Another great perk was that the Garrison provided us a list of vendors which we ended up using and they were spectacular. The florist, DJ, photographer, and photo booth vendors all came from their recommendations and they all added a tremendous amount to the experience. Additionally, the food was incredible and the overall flow of the wedding itself appeared effortless thanks to the finely tuned workings on site. All staff members were extremely professional and worked as a cohesive team throughout the evening. We have received soooo many compliments about the wedding and it is in large part thanks to everything the Garrison offered and executed. I 100% recommend them!

I have always wanted to get married on a mountain top so I searched for venues using Google Maps and came across The Garrison. As soon as I walked inside, I knew this was the perfect place. Bridget was our day of coordinator and she was absolutely amazing! She was quick to respond to emails, had really good suggestions, and made our big day run seamlessly. We really cannot say enough about how incredible and amazing everything was. We booked about a year and a half before our wedding date. The Garrison books up fast! We worked with Annie and it was truly a pleasure! She was hands down the best. Always available via email or a quick call, a great resource, friendly, warm, and a complete and total expert at what she does. She maintains an air of calmness and having everything under control which was great for a stressed out bride like myself lol Its been a few weeks since our wedding and we are still talking about how perfect everything was. We have gotten so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful the venue and the views were, how delicious the food was, and how amazing the staff all were. We knew our guests would love it as much as we did. We got married on a Sunday and had our rehearsal dinner in the Valley Restaurant Saturday night (thank you to James Brown for helping us coordinate that!) We had booked all 7 rooms Saturday night and Sunday night and were so happy we did that! It was so nice being on location the night before and the night of the wedding. We loved that was an option and the rooms are also very reasonable- especially in January. There is a bridal suite for getting ready which was lovely and was stocked with complimentary champagne and orange juice. It was just an all around perfect day and amazing experience from planning to the day of. We could not be happier. We plan on going back at least once a year to eat in the Valley restaurant!

The Garrison brought my wedding dream to life! All of the staff is incredibly nice and accommodating. Bridget is the coordinator extraordinaire. She gets everything done and is so organized. Any request we had, she accomplished. The food is also so delicious! Our guests keep raving about the food and of course, you can’t beat the gorgeous views! Some of my family also stayed in the Inn rooms upstairs which were also wonderful for a rustic upstate getaway. My grandma said she could’ve stayed there for a week. I knew that The Garrison was my dream venue the moment I stepped foot inside. We originally viewed the venue 2 years ago (pre-Covid) and had to postpone. We finally had our wedding last month and it was everything I dreamed of and more. From the beginning, Annie helped us with every decision. She was extremely helpful in recommending vendors to use and I was happy with all her recommendations including our florist, Hudson Valley Floral, Bridal by Alexandria team for hair and makeup and our photographer Tim Ryan Smith. Annie was always quick to respond and was very helpful in helping us find a new date when we had to postpone. So many people said this was the best wedding they ever had been to (people who had gone to many weddings throughout the years). We also received so many compliments on the food. The wagyu beef was highly praised by my uncle, butcher of Lobel’s! Although the weather was less than ideal for my wedding day, I knew it would be equally as beautiful if we had to do the wedding ceremony inside. Luckily the weather cleared for the time we did the ceremony with some dramatic clouds as a backdrop. I highly recommend using the Garrison for your wedding! You won’t regret it!

Let me start by recommending that all couples proceed with caution if you would like to have your wedding at The Garrison. They do not follow the terms of their contracts and did not refund our deposit of over $20,000 when the contract specifically states that it would (and as confirmed by mine and my Fiancé’s attorney) as a result of the pandemic. Below are the details of our experience: My Fiancé and I spent two years planning our June 2020 wedding at The Garrison; we loved the beautiful view of the river and the beauty and modern simplicity of the Hudson Room and the River Room. Of course, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, so we decided to postpone to October 2020 so that we could still have our dream wedding at The Garrison. In mid-July we spoke to our event coordinator who was optimistic about our October date. She thought that the restrictions would lift after phase 4 and that we would be able to have our wedding as planned although with modifications (social distancing, masks, adjusted table arrangements, etc.). We were told that even if the guidelines change to 50% capacity, they would be able to accommodate our 150 guests. A few weeks later (early August), we went to The Garrison to meet with our Event Coordinator and discuss ceremony, menus, table linens, etc. At the meeting, she informed us that new NYS guidelines had been released and that capacity would be at 50 guests, our guests would not be able to stand for the cocktail hour, no dancing was permitted and that off duty police officers were being hired as security to ensure guests were following the guidelines. Let me be very clear in stating that we in no way blame The Garrison for the guidelines and restrictions set by NYS. However, this situation and the communication of our event could have been handled much better. It was extremely disappointing and emotional for the Garrison to be so optimistic one week and then turn around two weeks later and hear that we essentially cannot have our wedding. As of a result of the guidelines and restrictions, my Fiancé and I decided to have a smaller outdoor wedding in Connecticut, where the guidelines would allow for this kind of event to take place. The venue told us they would not be able to perform the event as proposed in the contract and, in the contract, it states that if this is the case, they would refund the money we already paid. When we contacted The Garrison in order to receive a refund as it clearly states in the contract, they told us that they would not be able to provide us a refund. They are only able to provide us with a letter to provide our wedding insurance. The Garrison did not require Wedding Cancellation Insurance to enter into the contract, it was only recommended. Since we moved our wedding to CT, we needed to transfer our wedding insurance to cover that event and could not submit a claim for the deposits made to The Garrison. Because they would not honor our signed contract, The Garrison forced us to choose between forgoing tens of thousands of dollars in deposits with them or going forward with an uninsured event elsewhere in the middle of a pandemic.The Garrison has put us in an impossible position and clearly do not care about the stress and horrible experience that we went through in the last 6 months. We were owed a refund of the deposits that we made to The Garrison and the blatant disregard for a signed contract and for our negative experience, we are feel it is necessary to write this review.

Let me start by recommending that all couples proceed with caution if you would like to have your wedding at The Garrison. They do not follow the terms of their contracts and did not refund our deposit of over $20,000 when the contract specifically states that it would (and as confirmed by mine and my Fiancé’s attorney) as a result of the pandemic. Below are the details of our experience: My Fiancé and I spent two years planning our June 2020 wedding at The Garrison; we loved the beautiful view of the river and the beauty and modern simplicity of the Hudson Room and the River Room. Of course, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, so we decided to postpone to October 2020 so that we could still have our dream wedding at The Garrison. In mid-July we spoke to our event coordinator who was optimistic about our October date. She thought that the restrictions would lift after phase 4 and that we would be able to have our wedding as planned although with modifications (social distancing, masks, adjusted table arrangements, etc.). We were told that even if the guidelines change to 50% capacity, they would be able to accommodate our 150 guests. A few weeks later (early August), we went to The Garrison to meet with our Event Coordinator and discuss ceremony, menus, table linens, etc. At the meeting, she informed us that new NYS guidelines had been released and that capacity would be at 50 guests, our guests would not be able to stand for the cocktail hour, no dancing was permitted and that off duty police officers were being hired as security to ensure guests were following the guidelines. Let me be very clear in stating that we in no way blame The Garrison for the guidelines and restrictions set by NYS. However, this situation and the communication of our event could have been handled much better. It was extremely disappointing and emotional for the Garrison to be so optimistic one week and then turn around two weeks later and hear that we essentially cannot have our wedding. As of a result of the guidelines and restrictions, my Fiancé and I decided to have a smaller outdoor wedding in Connecticut, where the guidelines would allow for this kind of event to take place. The venue told us they would not be able to perform the event as proposed in the contract and, in the contract, it states that if this is the case, they would refund the money we already paid. When we contacted The Garrison in order to receive a refund as it clearly states in the contract, they told us that they would not be able to provide us a refund. They are only able to provide us with a letter to provide our wedding insurance. The Garrison did not require Wedding Cancellation Insurance to enter into the contract, it was only recommended. Since we moved our wedding to CT, we needed to transfer our wedding insurance to cover that event and could not submit a claim for the deposits made to The Garrison. Because they would not honor our signed contract, The Garrison forced us to choose between forgoing tens of thousands of dollars in deposits with them or going forward with an uninsured event elsewhere in the middle of a pandemic.The Garrison has put us in an impossible position and clearly do not care about the stress and horrible experience that we went through in the last 6 months. We were owed a refund of the deposits that we made to The Garrison and the blatant disregard for a signed contract and for our negative experience, we are feel it is necessary to write this review.

We got married at The Garrison in August amidst the craziness of 2020. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was less than ideal to say the least, and we were unsure of whether we would be able to get married here at all. However, through communication with Annie our coordinator, we were able to pull it off and hold a beautiful wedding! Of course we are not living in normal times, so having to enforce social distancing rules, setting up live streaming, and wearing masks was all quite a new experience, but we honestly wouldn’t have done anything differently. The venue was accommodating with having to reduce our guest count and did everything they could so that we can have the wedding we originally wanted. All our guests raved about how absolutely beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was as well! Everyone had a great time and said it was definitely the wedding of the year. We are so grateful for Annie and her team at The Garrison, we understand it must have been stressful for them to have to make so many changes but they really did an awesome job. We highly recommend getting married here, because even during a pandemic getting married here was a dream.

My husband and I could not possibly be happier with our experience at the Garrison! Bridget, our coordinator was AMAZING. She was very quick with responses, calm cool and collected throughout the whole process. We absolutely loved her. The entire rest of the staff were fantastic too! All of our guests commented on the delicious food and the beautiful view of the mountains/Hudson River. The entire day went perfectly. We recommend the garrison 100% and cannot thank them enough!!

The Garrison and our wedding there could not have been anymore perfect. From the minute we visited and saw the absolutely beautiful view of the Hudson River, we knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding day. Bridget was our coordinator and she was an absolute dream. Calm, Warm, Smart, and helpful at every step of the way. Her and her staff went so above and beyond to make our day as seamless as possible. We were really blown away at how on top of their game everyone was. Another A+ goes to the food. Although they don't do any tastings ahead of time, we only heard rave reviews, and it did not disappoint. We went with the Braised Short Rib and the Diver Scallops and it was one of the better meals we've had in a very long time. Overall, we can't recommend The Garrison enough for your wedding.

She kept all of our vendors on schedule and everything went on without a hitch. I'm super thankful I chose the Garrison. It was a picture perfect night to remember!

The Garrison is not cheap... but boy do they show you time and time again where your money is going and why you're actually getting a good value. Choosing The Garrison as our wedding venue was the best possible decision we could have made. Every thing that was A+ about our wedding (the scenery, the food, the list of vendors we worked with, the small touches) came from our decision to book The Garrison. The staff absolutely does not mess around. They will anticipate every need you didn't know you had, and every question you didn't know to ask. We worked exclusively with vendors from their \"preferred\" list which was an excellent call - we heard time and time again that the Garrison staff are very intentional about who they put on their list, and it shows. The vendors are so accustomed to working with The Garrison that it eliminates a ton of logistical work that other couples need to put in to ensure the wedding runs smoothly. We got extremely lucky with beautiful weather, but even if we hadn't (with rain, snow, or extreme temperatures) The Garrison still would have been the perfect site because their indoor ceremony option, which has floor to ceiling windows, still would have been breathtaking. Bridget and the rest of the staff were an absolute dream and I am so grateful we chose this venue. Truly the best day of our lives.

We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect venue for our wedding, which was just a month ago, in September. The minute we stepped out in front of the beautiful view from the ceremony site on our first visit, we knew we had found our place. It made it even more special that the bride’s parents were married at the Garrison 30 years ago. Annie made the whole process with the Garrison so smooth - we sat down for our organizing meetings in advance of the wedding to sort out all the little details of the day, and kept in communication via email throughout the planning. No matter how stressed we were about other wedding planning, we knew we didn’t need to worry about anything that The Garrison was in charge of. Annie made sure everything went exactly as planned for the day of, and we really had the most wonderful, memorable day. All of the tables, place-settings and decor were flawless, and our guests raved about all of the cocktail hour and reception food & cocktails. We were so glad that we got to take home the rest of our filet mignons to finish, and we devoured every bite! Our friends and family loved the incredible view of the Hudson, and the sunset we were lucky enough to have. We hope we get invited to someone else’s Garrison wedding, so that we can enjoy it all over again. It was such a special experience, and we can’t wait to come back next year to the restaurant for our anniversary!

We got married at the end of April, and it ended up being extremely windy with intermittent rains and the venue worked with us to have the ceremony slightly early so we could be outside. It was so beautiful and out pictures came out amazing. All staff were very attentive day of. They also lit a fire pit outside for us without us asking. They took over day of and made it super stress free so we were able to enjoy it rather than be worried about details. I can not say enough good things about The Garrison.

The Garrison exceeded all of our expectations! This was the first venue we scheduled to see when planning the wedding and we left having booked a date without any hesitation! The snow covered mountains and Hudson River views were absolutely breath taking.

If you're considering The Garrison for your wedding, just say yes! I'm not overstating this when I tell you that we had a perfect experience with them and it was everything we dreamed of. Bridget was our point of contact and she was there for us from the very beginning. She anticipated issues that I wouldn't have thought of myself, and was there as our \"day of coordinator,\" so I felt confident that things would run smoothly, which they did.Regardless of the season, you won't regret the venue, and you'll particularly love the views. The food and staff are also wonderful and even though they do tons of weddings a year, they try to make each one special because they understand that this is this particular couple's most important day. The entire staff was incredibly warm, helpful and efficient. The food was amazing-honestly anything you choose from the menu is going to be a hit-and the bridal suite, which was recently renovated, has these great salon chairs facing a cool vanity wall where the bridal party can get ready.Our first look was outside on the gorgeous grounds (they give you a golf cart so you and your photographer can go around to any of the beautiful spots on the golf course to get that perfect shot) but unfortunately after 10 minutes I was far too cold to do any more outside shots. But the few we got outside were amazing. The wind was strong but with that backdrop it made it even more dramatic. With the clouds rolling in over the big blue and purple mountains and the wind whipping my dress, it had a very Wuthering Heights Feel.I think my favorite part of my wedding at The Garrison was right after the ceremony, where Bridget ushered my husband and me back up to the bridal suite where we had 10 minutes to decompress after all the wedding madness and jitters, and could really soak in all that had just happened. They had set out champagne and appetizers so we could just relax for a moment before returning to the whirlwind day. Overall, it was perfect and I owe a lot of that to The Garrison in general, and Bridget and her incredible staff in particular. Thank you again, staff at The Garrison. You'll be one of my favorite memories for the next many years!

Since The Garrison only hosts one wedding at a time, you also have access to the outside area. We had a s'mores bar and also a ice cream stand out there. It was so much fun and so unique!SERVICE: One word- OUTSTANDING! Annie and her team thought of every detail and they went out of their way to accommodate our requests for personalization. Our guests absolutely loved how were served their main course. A member of the staff stood behind each seat so that they could serve the entire table simultaneously. FOOD: The food was unbelievable, especially the Wagyu Steak. We received so many compliments on the food, as the guests loved the cocktail hour as well as the main course. The BBQ station was a big hit and our favorite Hors D'oeuvres were the Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese Brioche; House Made Potato Chips with Bleu Cheese Dip; Scallop Ceviche; and the Sushi Rolls.If you're thinking about booking The Garrison, just do it. Look no further when booking your perfect dream venue. My husband and I first visited The Garrison fall of 2017, hoping to get married before the end of 2018. We had many worries as we are both extremely particular and get anxious when we don’t have control. However, after meeting Annie, we knew we were in trusted hands. I’ve never received so many compliments on our day. Even our pastor said that the ceremony was the most well run he’s been a part of. Annie is seriously the absolute best and would book the Garrison in a heart beat! The food is also so delicious!! We didn’t have any doubts even though we couldn’t have a tasting since we read so many raving reviews. All the weddings I’ve been to, only cocktail hour food is decent. We were fortunate to have our wedding at The Garrison. From start to finish, the process was personalized and organized. The minute we arrived, we were blown away by the panoramic view of the Hudson Valley. Bridget Bell was our wedding coordinator. She spent quality time with us throughout the planning process to ensure that our vision would come to life. She was a pleasure to work with and coordinated with our vendors for a stress- free wedding day. Bridget answered all of our emails promptly, gave us great advice, and was very easy going. Her professionalism and ability to get things done were second to none. We had the best time of our lives and Bridget was a big part in making it a memorable day. The venue is approx. 1.5hr drive from the city/ major airports, which our guests found easy to access. There were enough parking spots for our guests who drove. The major hotels (in Fishkill) are about 15min drive/ bus/ shuttle away. The venue held 125 guests, a 9-piece band with 2 sound technicians, and a photobooth with more than enough room to spare. The wedding package we chose was competitive to other venues we looked at. We chose to hold our ceremony indoors and timed it so that the sun would set as we said our vows. It made for awesome pictures. The transition from ceremony to cocktail hour (held in the same room) was smooth. After the cocktail hour, we liked that the guests simply had to walk a few steps to the reception hall. Guests could not stop complementing on the cocktail hour food as well as reception dinner- many said that they had the “best wedding food ever”. We also had a fire pit on the patio for a s’mores bar, which was a big hit for both children and adults. We would highly recommend this venue and Bridget Bell.

We loved our wedding day and our guests had an amazing time! It was not without challenges though and it certainly wasnt as smooth as we anticipated. When we first booked the garrison, Todd was our planner. He was no-nonsense, had a keen eye for style and we had 100% trust in him that if anything went wrong, he would handle it. About 6 months after we booked, I had a few questions so I called and was told he wasn't in. My call was directed to someone else. I then had a follow-up question so I emailed him. The GM emailed me a response a few days later. Everyone was acting weird and just said todd isn't in. They had several opportunities after that to let us know todd had been replaced but they did not. We ended up just showing up one day and letting them know \"hey, we know todd no longer works here. Please put us in touch with our new wedding coordinator.\" Not really our style, but we had a wedding to plan. I really lost some respect for the manager and the venue with their poor customer service at this point. I felt someone could have reached out (even our new wedding coordinator). When we were put in touch with our new coordinator, she did not suggest a meeting and did not seem concerned, but we pushed for one to give her a sense of what we were looking for and some things we had discussed with Todd. Everything was fine after that up to our wedding day.It rained the day of our wedding which wasn't great, but were ok with it because of the beautiful cocktail room they have that they also use for indoor ceremonies. We had heard how easy and quick it was to flip the room from ceremony to cocktail from our new coordinator several times so we were not stressed about it. As I was getting dressed, our coordinator stopped by to say there were going to be some problems flipping the room and if I minded having the ceremony in the reception room. I said ok. It didn't seem like I had much of a choice but in hindsight I really should have pushed or gone downstairs to look. Well, they moved all the already set tables to two sides of the room and put up large barricades with white sheets covering them. My \"aisle\" was obstructed by a pole so my parents and I had to do turn when walking down and there's a radiator in the back of all of my ceremony photos! Maybe we ordered too much food for cocktail hour and this is why we had to do it this way? We had the minimum amount of guests (150) for a Saturday wedding and we paid close to $200/person and this was never even discussed as an option. I would hope that with that comes service, attention to detail and some very basic style sense. This is by far my biggest gripe. My other issue is not serving coffee to our guests tableside. We opted for the speciality coffee bar for specialty coffees but regular, tableside coffee still comes with our package. I was told that many of our guests must have declined the offer and opted for the coffee bar since no one was served at their tables. That unfortunately was not true as none of our guests (including ourselves) were never even offered coffee! The coffee bar ended up breaking at one point and a long line formed in the next room. The garrison did comp us about half the cost for the coffee bar upgrade, but overall it was not worth it.Unfortunately these items were not just little things. They were big ticket items that our guests noticed and that we weren't happy with. I wish we had our own coordinator arranging things and looking out for us the day of.

There are hardly adequate words to describe our experience with The Garrison. If you are looking for impeccably kept grounds, tasteful cocktail & reception rooms, attentive & warm staff, delicious & contemporary food & drink, and stunningly gorgeous views, then The Garrison is for you. Annie and her staff took care of every single detail flawlessly, from touring the venue to the last moment of our wedding celebration. Our guests were floored with everything The Garrison had to offer, and had nothing but wonderful things to stay about the food, the staff, the grounds, and the entire experience. I could not recommend The Garrison more highly. Just one note: if you are expecting a wedding tasting, The Garrison does not offer as their food is fresh & seasonal and frankly, the chef knows what he's doing. This was something I initially was concerned by (because I am Type-A, getting married or not), but just have a meal at the adjoining restaurant and you will have a good idea of what to expect. Do yourself a favor and use the recommended vendors - everyone was awesome! Thank you, Annie and The Garrison, for making our wedding day everything we could have dreamed of and more.

Just one note: if you are expecting a wedding tasting, The Garrison does not offer as their food is fresh & seasonal and frankly, the chef knows what he's doing. This was something I initially was concerned by (because I am Type-A, getting married or not), but just have a meal at the adjoining restaurant and you will have a good idea of what to expect. Do yourself a favor and use the recommended vendors - everyone was awesome! Thank you, Annie and The Garrison, for making our wedding day everything we could have dreamed of and more.

We knew we wanted to get married at The Garrison after being at the venue for maybe 5 minutes - the views and the overall setup are incredible. We worked with Annie throughout the planning process - she replied quickly to emails/messages and was always readily available to answer questions (no matter how silly/small) and offer advice. She knows the venue inside and out and was able to make every single one of our ideas work. The day before the wedding, we dropped off our boxes and boxes of decorations, favors, photos, etc... and I was legitimately blown away when I walked downstairs the next afternoon to see how everything was put together - it honestly looked better than I had pictured it in my head. I completely trusted Annie and her staff and am so glad I did - they did not disappoint AT ALL. I cannot recommend this venue and Annie enough - my family/bridal party is still talking about how on top of everything she was - there wasn't one hiccup or one moment where I was at all worried/concerned about anything other than the fact that I was getting married all day. If you are considering the venue, absolutely book it - you will not regret it.

On March 25, 2018, I had the most whimsical, rustic, romance, vintage, fairytale wedding I could've ever DREAMED of!! That was my theme and it played out absolutely beautifully. I knew from the moment we stepped foot inside The Garrison that it was \"the one\" and every day leading up until our wedding I could not wait to get married there. The ballroom has floor to ceiling views of the Hudson Valley, so we really didn't even have to spend a whole lot of money on decor. The views are the focal point and our guests were stunned by the beauty of the endless mountains. I would like to make a very special shout-out to our onsite venue manager, Annie Rozycki. From the moment we signed with The Garrison, Annie was so on point with everything. She checked in with us frequently and made the entire process feel so easy going. Working with her, I never felt worried about anything. Any question (and believe me I had A LOT of questions constantly) she had an answer. She is the most thorough and meticulous \"boss lady\" I have ever met and I just knew we were in good hands. On our wedding day, Annie was once again on point, running around and making sure absolutely everything from top to bottom was running smoothly. I felt so at ease, and it was just so nice to relax knowing that she had everything under control so that I wouldn't have to worry. It literally felt like we had a day-of wedding coordinator with Annie. She truly is the BEST of the best.

We picked The Garrison as our wedding venue immediately after seeing the VIEW. You cannot beat the setting for a wedding ceremony and reception, especially if you're having a spring/summer or fall wedding since the scenery is gorgeous and truly WOW. We didn't stop hearing the end of our guests raving about the view and the venue itself. The service is also fantastic!!! All our guests told us they hardly had to wait for drinks the bartenders were so quick and the servers were very professional and almost invisible! It was like being served at a 5-star restaurant! Truly seamless. Annie was our coordinator and she was so on top of all the \"behind-the-scenes\" magic that had to happen. The timing of the event went of flawlessly and that's a big task of the coordinator and she nailed it! She's also unflappable. You can ask Annie anything planning-related leading up to the wedding and she's heard it all and has answers for you. In short, if you're looking for a venue in the Hudson Valley this is the one to book. And lastly the photos you'll get at this location will be truly breathtaking!

I could go on and on about the gorgeous views of the Hudson Valley, the delicious food, the wonderful staff but the easiest thing to say (and I don't say this lightly) is: I wouldn't change a single thing about the day! It was perfect from start to finish.

Annie at the Garrison is amazing! I wish we started with her from the beginning. We originally started with Todd but he was let go 3 weeks before our wedding. Probably sounds stressful considering your wedding coordinator basically disappeared right before your wedding, but Annie assured us that everything would go according to plan and she had reviewed all of Todd's notes and spoke to us over the phone to make sure everything was what we wanted. I can't speak about Annie's planning process, but Todd asked us about every little detail starting from where to sit the parents to what table cloths would go with the flowers. Annie was on point the day of the wedding. There were a couple of hiccups with the DJ but she handled everything behind the scenes and we didn't even know! She calmed us down before our entrance/choreographed dance and truly was wonderful/nice. As if Annie wasn't enough, the venue is just perfect. Beautiful backdrop and amazing food. They even personalized our own dinner meals by letting us order something different from the menu. A couple of items to note though 1. the upstairs of the inn is very small if you are looking to get ready there. it was sufficient for my wife but she's not very picky, but i wish they would let them use the salon/empty space downstairs if it's not in use (which it wasn't on the day of our wedding) 2. they don't have much leeway on pricing/freebies - there's no tasting that most weddings provide, they didn't even give us a free lunch just to taste an entree or two which was kind of disappointing because i feel like that's a normal experience as part of a wedding. We just had to go with the reviews of the food and for wedding food, i thought it was pretty damn good. 3. watch out for west point and vassar college graduations! there's not many hotels near by and the graduations take up most of the hotel spaces and/or all the hotels raise their prices which was unfortunate for our guests!
