The Gathering is an inviting wedding venue located in Crosslake, MN. Husband-and-wife duo Jason and Haley Van Buren lovingly transformed this setting into the event space of their dreams in October 2021. They hope to help other couples celebrate their milestones in style. Haley is ready to provide whatever support you might need, from coordination to decor. This venue is a scenic two-and-a-half-hour drive outside of the Twin Cities. The Gathering will comfortably accommodate gatherings with up to 250 guests. Special packages are available for to-be-weds who want a weekend-long celebration, beginning with a rehearsal dinner and ending with a day-after brunch. Haley and Jason are happy to give you a tour of the venue, so you can see how it will help your vision come to life. Both indoor and outdoor spaces are available for your ceremony and reception.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this venue. When we toured I knew that I was going to have a great experience for my wedding but this place far exceeded my expectations. The venue space is the perfect size & the decor they have available is so vast for you to personalize or & have it beautiful for your event. The communication was incredible & everyone who helps at this space is so kind and accommodating. I also recommend booking the Lodge Airbnb as its just down the road & made commute for the wedding party so easy. Such a fabulous local venue, making it affordable for locals or out of towners to get married in the beautiful BLA!

We had our wedding reception of over 200 people at The Gathering and could not have asked for a better experience!! The Gibbs and Van Burens went above and beyond to ensure our special day looked great and ran smoothly. Definitely consider The Gathering for any of your party needs!

I was in the bridal party at a wedding reception held at The Gathering, and I have absolutely nothing but amazing things to say about the space as well as the owners and staff! The layout of the menu was perfect for the wedding reception event! From the lighting to the table layouts everything was so well thought out! I am so excited for their outdoor space to open in the summer of 2022 I feel like this venue is truly going to be amazing!!!

This is just the perfect location for a gorgeous wedding that doesn’t cost a fortune yet looks like one that does! The owners are so gracious and helpful. They wanted to make this special day feel like it was their own. Down to every little detail. Very responsive and always friendly. So much talent with decor and out of the box ideas. I could keep going on and on!! Love them!

Jason and Haley Van Buren (Owner) My husband and I turned an empty building into the wedding reception of our dreams in October 2021. After our wedding, The Gathering was created. We wanted to continue utilizing this family owned space to provide a beautiful, spacious, and affordable venue for other couples.
