The Gathering Grounds is a wedding venue in Bussey, IA, just 45 miles south of Des Moines. This magnificent 100-acre estate is the perfect spot for couples seeking a unique and unforgettable wedding experience. The Gathering Grounds hosts wedding ceremonies and receptions and offers a choice of fabulous event spaces, perfect for celebrations of all sizes. The Twin Barn Lodge is ideal for intimate celebrations and can accommodate parties of up to 150 people. It affords spectacular views of the lake and features a covered patio area, weathered siding, and soft white and gray interiors. The magnificent Waterfront Barn features a heated veranda, a modern-looking interior with a beautifully understated color palette, a two-story fireplace, a spacious ground floor with enough room to comfortably seat 350+ guests, and additional seating on the mezzanine level. Offering both indoor and outdoor locations for your celebration.Overnight accommodation is available on-site for you and your loved ones. The Cottage has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms and can sleep up to six guests. The Twin Barn Lodge has three bedrooms, a sleeper sofa, and a large bunk area and can sleep up to 14 people. The Gathering Grounds invites you to turn your wedding day into a multi-day event! Wedding package features include round and rectangle tables, chairs, linens, cloth napkins, stemware, flatware, a choice of three beautiful backdrops, a state-of-the-art AV system, a prep kitchen with separate outdoor access, and an open vendor policy. 2 waitstaff and 2 bartenders will be included on hand to serve your food and drinks, and the venue's staff will ensure that everything runs seamlessly. The Gathering Grounds will set up your chairs, tables and linens. You will have to set up your table set up and decor. For tear down, you only need to remove what is yours and they will do the rest.
