Nestled in Navasota, TX, the Gin at Hidalgo Falls is a modern industrial wedding venue. This restored cotton gin sits on 800 acres of lush farmland near the Brazos River and Hidalgo Falls. Vintage details from the property’s past peacefully coexist with an industrial aesthetic and modern amenities. The Gin at Hidalgo Farms dates back to 1953. It is currently owned by the husband-and-wife team Donald and Laura Goodie. It was originally built by a partnership known as H.H. Moore & Sons, and many of Laura’s family members were involved in its operation. This commitment to family and community inspires every event held at the Gin today. Laura and Donald want to help you celebrate this important step in creating your own family. This venue is an hour’s drive away from the city of Houston and just 20 minutes from College Station. This 1950s property has more than 4,000 square feet of indoor event space. A wrap-around terrace is also available, where you can breathe in the fresh countryside air. The Gin at Hidalgo Falls can fit up to 300 of your nearest and dearest for seated indoor celebrations. If you prefer a more casual, standing cocktail reception, up to 500 guests can attend. The Cotton House, the Seed House, and the Scale House are available as get-ready rooms or mingling areas. A portable bar can be transported to wherever you want to hold your celebration. Indoor and outdoor ceremonies are both possible. Two outdoor sites offer views of the cotton fields or of the gin building. Your caterers can relish the expansive kitchen, with its own entrance and parking for convenient deliveries. Industrial-style chairs and tables in a range of shapes can be provided by Donald and Laura. When the night has drawn to a close, you and your loved ones can retire to the onsite accommodations.

The Gin was nothing short of excellent! The owners and workers are very knowledgeable and are quick to help you make your day as perfect as possible. The venue is gorgeous and can fit almost every aesthetic. Also, the groom's and bridesmaid suites have beds and you can stay the night on site! My girls and I stayed the night before the wedding and the accommodations were perfect!

The Gin was nothing short of excellent! The owners and workers are very knowledgeable and are quick to help you make your day as perfect as possible. Absolutely gorgeous venue! We had out wedding here 10/2022 and everything was perfect! We still have our guests reeling over our venue. If I had to do it all over again, I would pick The Gin over and over. 1. The Staff - Nothing short of amazing. Carly is the best, very knowledgeable, confident, organized and has wonderful communication skills. 2. Venue - breathtaking, it's naturally beautiful so there is no reason to have to \"over decorate\" 3. Owner(s)- The best! I was always in the know and never had to question anything.If you are on the fence, schedule a tour once you are there any doubt will fade right away. I still can't believe I had my DREAM wedding!

From the time I saw the Gin years ago, I knew it was somewhere I would love to get married. Ultimately, I am so glad we ended up going with the Gin. Pros: 1. Setting up our tables and benches outside was so easy. They sent over their layout software, I laid out the floor plan how I wanted it 2 weeks ahead of time, and they had everything up when we got there. 2. The space was flexible- it allowed for either an indoor or outdoor ceremony depending on what the weather did. 3. The option to stay onsite the night before the wedding with the whole wedding party is great and makes everything so easy and less stressful on the morning of the wedding. 4. It's naturally beautiful. I didn't feel like I had to do a lot to the space to make it pretty. Cons: 1. The staff was difficult to contact prior to the wedding. Our wedding coordinator set up a tour one day so that she could see the space and get a better idea of what we were working with. She received a last-minute automated text that our tour was canceled, but she could not get anyone from the Gin on the phone to see what had happened. We both drove out there anyway to find everything all locked up. 2. The bed situation between the bride's quarters and the groom's is super mismatched. While the groom's quarters could sleep up to 16, the bride's can only sleep 6. It all works just fine if any of the women are dating/married to any of the men, but it's a bummer to have to lose one of your ladies over the guys' room for the night. 3. It's pricey. Of course, all wedding venues are pricey these days, and I don't think the Gin is particularly bad. All that said, the pros certainly outweigh the cons. If I were to do the traditional wedding thing again, I would certainly do it the same way and do it at the Gin.

The Gin is such a beautiful unique venue with a mixture of rustic and industrial! The Gin was my #1 venue that I had to tour when looking at venues and I fell in love with them! They have so many unique features through out their location from the silos, to the wonderful ceremony grounds, to the fields and cotton fields around the venue. Till this day our guest can’t stop talking about our venue and even say it was one of the best wedding venues that they have been too! All of this couldn’t of been possible without Laura, the fabulous owner and Carly, the amazing venue coordinator! Carly seriously was the best to work with and was so helpful with any questions we had during the planning process.

All i have to say is......incredible. The natural light the venue gives is phenomenal. The textures in this venue gave me the perfect mix between soft boho and garden vibes. The simplicity, but character of the place is unmatched. The SPACE is perfect. We had a large number of guests, plenty of tables, extra space for buffet, bar, photo booth, and hangout room PLUS a massive dance floor. The outside ceremony option is so nice and simple with the fields in the background. Also, the benches that come with the venue are STUNNING. The venue has a massive porch, perfect for cocktail hour and for all of our guests to go out and take pictures of the sunset with the sunflowers in the back. I could go on and on about this venue. And might i add that the management is incredibly helpful and willing to make your dreams come true!!

Laura, Carly and Zeus are the kindest, sweetest people and you truly feel like your working with family! The venue is beautiful and very well taken care of down to every little detail of everything being perfectly in place and neat.We decided to stay the night in the additional houses with some of our guest and they are stunning! Everything you could possibly need is available for your use. They have thought of everything to cover your needs! We will be renting The Gin again in the future for parties and are so happy we found this beautiful gem!

I had my wedding at the Gin at Hidalgo Falls on July 3, 2020. Everything about the Gin is absolutely perfect. The venue is beautiful all on its own and the bride/groom suites are to die for. From the first time we stepped foot in the venue, we knew it was the perfect place for us and our wedding. The location is so peaceful and secluded. We decided to have our overnight accommodations in College Station. The 25-minute drive was not an issue at all. All of our guests still can’t stop talking about how amazing the venue was. We were lucky to have sunflowers surrounding the property due to the time of year. They made for a beautiful backdrop! We decided to have our ceremony in front of the two old silos rather than the traditional ceremony site and it was a huge hit with our guests. The Gin at Hidalgo Falls is so unique and unlike any other wedding venue. It is also priced well! Laura and Carly were so sweet and helpful during the planning process and wedding day. I loved the All Seated program that allowed us to easily design our wedding layout with our coordinator. Overall, our wedding day was absolutely perfect and better than we had ever dreamed, even with COVID! I would 100% recommend The Gin at Hidalgo Falls. A huge thank you to Laura and family!!

I had my wedding at the Gin at Hidalgo Falls on June 27, 2020. Even amid all the Covid craziness, it was incredible! I was originally set to get married there on May 16, 2020. After hearing about all the venues that wouldn’t allow their brides to reschedule, I was worried. However, within minutes of texting Laura, she responded saying that there would be no date change fee. Shifting the date to June 27 was SO easy. Laura and Carly have been so accommodating, and really made this experience so much better for us. The Gin is also BEAUTIFUL and the layout is really conducive to events. The bathrooms, grooms suite, and bridal suite were all perfect. The bridal suite has excellent artificial and natural lighting, plenty of space for getting ready, and the little kitchenette is adorable! We also loved that there were plenty of beds available, as the flower girls desperately needed a nap on that long day! The fields around the venue were full of sunflowers, which was a huge hit with not only myself, but also with the gusts! The aesthetic was perfect, the employees were incredibly helpful; I’d choose to have my wedding there every time!

I had my wedding at the Gin at Hidalgo Falls on June 27, 2020. Even amid all the Covid craziness, it was incredible! I was originally set to get married there on May 16, 2020. After hearing about all the venues that wouldn’t allow their brides to reschedule, I was worried. We had my daughter's wedding at The Gin at Hidalgo Falls on 6/13/2020 and it was FABULOUS (even though it was in the middle of a pandemic, COVID 19)! During the planning process, Laura and Carly were willing to let us pop in as needed when we had planning and layout questions and I cannot tell you how many times they updated the layout on \"All Seated\" to accommodate the ever changing environment and number of guest regulations due to COVID. That said, we rented the entire venue for Friday night which worked out great for the Saturday wedding. It allowed the wedding party to stay on site and we were able to start all our events for the weekend on time because of that convenience. The cottages are so cute and all the bridesmaids commented on how comfortable the beds were. There were plenty of plugs for all the girls to get ready for rehearsal and the wedding and our hair stylist and make-up artist also had plenty of room to work. The girls, and guys, loved hanging out and it provided time to \"chill\" before all the festivities began or in between events.I cannot say enough about how easy Laura and Carly were to work with, especially during this ever changing climate. They were problem solvers and always willing to lift a helping hand, from moving chairs at the last minute to handling issues with guests to helping pick up any trash that may have been left behind due to decorating. If you are looking for something different, something out of the ordinary, something that isn't a barn, a place that is relaxing and away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is your place.

When I first walked in this venue, I knew it was the perfect place for my daughter to get married. My daughter visited the day before I did and she was so excited. Laura and Carly were the BEST to work with and we couldn’t have been happier. We requested the venue for the entire weekend. The bridal party stayed At The Gin . We had a lot of out of town people so it worked beautiful. Go visit!!!! You will fall in love like we did! Highly recommend

I knew the second we walked into the property, this was it. That beautiful and scenic drive. The openness, the colors of the sky around the venue. So perfect. Thank you so so much for being so amazing and wonderful and courteous! I just wanted to reach out and let you know how grateful I am! I loved The Gin and I always will! Just holds such a perfect place for us. All of our guests loved it. It looked stunning and thank you for being so patient and kind as well. My family is so appreciative!! The venue was stunning and every single person was so impressed. So taken back by it. The weather and sunset, my gosh the pictures I’ve seen. Wow. No one had ever seen anything like it. It’s an absolute gem. The only place I’d want to marry my husband at. Just breathtaking.

My husband and I got married on October 26th of 2019, and booked this venue about a year ago - right after the Gin had opened for weddings. The aesthetic was EXACTLY what I was looking for, and Laura basically had put my vision of the perfect venue to life! My husband and I really liked the history of the place, and the fact that it was such a wide-open space. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the views are breathtaking. We were lucky that some of the cotton was still out for our outside ceremony near the end of October.. If you love cotton like I do, this is the place for you! It's BEAUTIFUL, and I was even able to take some of my bridal portraits in the cotton. Laura was extremely responsive to my endless questions, and was always available for anything I needed. She was amazing to work with! We had two guests (children) with special needs at our wedding (using wheelchairs and walkers), and their parents were impressed with the accessibility of the venue, including the restrooms! The only concern they had was the lack of handicapped parking. What I liked most about the venue was the unique layout, with the huge wrap-around patios. We had a lot of kids at our wedding, and the kids were able to run and play on the patio safely near their parents. The patios are so expansive, and I was also able to utilize the patio space for some of our tables (gifts, sign in, etc). This extra space was VERY helpful when planning a party for 250 guests! Laura provided tables and chairs for our reception, and benches outside for our ceremony. The chairs and tables were setup prior to our event based on a layout that I provided to Laura. This was AWESOME and really helpful for my coordinator!! We ended up booking the overnight accommodations, which was a true blessing. I loved that this was an option for us; we were able to take our time cleaning up that night, and pack up the next morning. Also.. the lighting in the bridal suite is phenomenal, girls! My photographer and makeup girl were ALL about it! Our wedding day was perfect, and I got so many compliments on how unique our venue was. I would 100% recommend the Gin! Thank you, Laura & family, for playing such a HUGE part in our special day! It was a pleasure working with you!
