The Gingerbread Meeting House Reviews

We had our 50th wedding anniversary vow renewal ceremony and reception here and it was fantastic. The staff starting with Caroline did an excellent job in assisting my daughters and us with everything we needed. The staff were helpful in accommodating us with the setting up the patio (ceremony) and the indoor rooms where the reception took place. The director, Kristen, was excellent and worked with us in a timely manner even though it was her first vow renewal occasion. Would reserve this venue during the spring, summer and fall seasons. We got married here on 10/14/23 and had the absolute best time. We worked closely with Caroline throughout the process. She was attentive and friendly. Helpful and timely. We used their day of coordinator, Alexis who managed my timeline seamlessly. We used their officiant, Karen, who was wonderful and made the ceremony perfect. Their bar and catering staff were fabulous and the food was unexpectedly far more delicious and exceeded expectations. We also used their DJ, who, in our opinion, was not great. Messed up my timeline. Did things out of order or without announcing. Not a great emcee. Nothing major, but if I could do something over, I would hire an outside DJ/Emcee. We also got our cake/dessert from their gal and it was absolutely delicious. All in all I would 10/10 recommend TGMH and Caroline and her staff. Reviewed on 19-10-2023

Savannah Peeler(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-06-2019 Oh wow. I donât even know where to begin. In first meeting Ginger when viewing her venue, her passion and excitement shown through and you can easily see how much she truly cares about helping brides and making the most magical and unforgettable experience of their life. She provided a notebook planner that had all these amazing ideas, tips, planning sheets, vendor recommendations, etc. and I think I slept with that thing for 9 months, it didnât leave my side! đ She has so much to offer! When you say one stop shop, this is it!! I couldnât think of anywhere else that would have included half of what she does!! And to top all that off, the venue is simply gorgeous! With an outdoor covered area and indoor use as well, it was everything we could have ever wanted!! In the planning process over the months leading up, Ginger responded to everyone of my many emails over questions, details, etc.! At the rehearsal, we met our coordinator Andrea. She was so sweet and so amazing to work with on my day of! She kept everything in check and was so nice and amazing at answering and guiding me with anything I was unsure of. The day of, Ginger, Andrea, and staff worked effortlessly transforming their location into my custom vision! They worked tirelessly around me and what they designed simply took my breath away from the ceremony arrangement, to the reception decor, to everything!!! Which leads me to the food. Can we talk about the FOOD?!? If they owned a restaurant I would probably go there every day! đ It seriously was the best bbq chicken, baked macaroni, green beans, rolls, etc. and Iâm NOT just saying that because it was my wedding. It was GOOD yâall! I made sure and had time to eat my entire plate I wasnât letting anyone stop me! And that brings me to even the table decor with the linens and flatware, everything was presented so classically and timelessly it just took our breath away. I couldnât have asked for a better venue, better experience, or better team to work with. They were incredible and I can never thank them enough for the best day of our lives! Reviewed on 22-06-2019
Brandy Rhom(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-05-2018 Ginger did a wonderful job with the venue and reception. Everything went off without a hitch and she was very helpful when I didnât know what I was doing. The decorations and set up were beautiful. Reviewed on 28-05-2018

Alexandra Miller(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-10-2017 My wedding day was amazing at the Gingerbread Meeting House. Communication with Ginger really concerned me during the planning process but come day of she impressed me! We were supposed to have open bar (paid by us) and they were charging guests for the first little while without us realizing, however, they did refund them. Other than that, the venue is gorgeous, the food is AMAZING, and the entire event was gorgeous. Reviewed on 21-11-2017
Olivia Greenwell(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-11-2017 The venue itself is absolutely stunning. But my wedding day was a nightmare. Ginger hired some coordinator that Iď¸ have never met in regards to my wedding day. We were told there was going to be 4 heaters and they only brought out 2 and never even told me they werenât working! When Iď¸ said something the coordinator said âoh well they arenât going to warm up the place any wayâ nice. The DJ messed up our first song - super embarrassing so donât use one of theirs. There was a mouse in the ceiling lights my son said âlook itâs micky!â Iâm GREAT! Whenever Iď¸ said something to ginger she did absolutely nothing about the situations and there was no type of apology or refund. So if you have thick skin and donât mind things going wrong then this place is for you. Reviewed on 18-11-2017
Dominique Lynn(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-11-2016 I was debating on what the heck I was going to do once I got engaged... where to start, what venue, what style, what theme, the list goes on... I came upon Gingerbread Meeting House and fell in love with the photos... Then I met Ginger the owner, what a true delight. She's very kind and very soft spoken. We bonded over a convo and I just knew she was the one for me. She basically does it all, the food, the DJ, the cake, the decorations, photography... shes got a list of vendors and you pick which ones you want... etc etc... if you have any questions, you can call her and she's happy to answer anything you need. I wanted an intimate setting that was gorgeous but filled with love and happiness. I literally got it and more.. she made sure my mom was happy too and went out of her way to do small touches for us. Shes' the best and shes the sweetest. I love you Ginger. Reviewed on 27-11-2016
Brittany Stone(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-10-2014 I really enjoyed our wedding venue, however the meetings we had before hand with Ginger the owner almost made me have second thoughts. Ginger was very friendly however late for every meeting we had, one meeting we waited for 45 minutes and almost left! The day of the wedding it was so beautiful. Paige the director and all of the servers were great so was the food! The cake was a different story, I was sent a picture that looked absolutely nothing like what showed up at my wedding it was VERY disappointing and I shed a few tears getting ready! Other than a few minor things everything was pretty perfect that day! Reviewed on 21-11-2014
