Enna Hun(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-08-2019 From start to finish, Carl and I had an incredible experience working with the Newcastle team. We booked the Ballroom and the Prestwick Terrace. Their venue includes everything you need to plan an incredible wedding, including catering, linens, dance floors, tables, chairs, getting ready spaces and of course a view that is unmatched, especially at golden hour. You have a wedding adviser to help you through every step of the planning process and their whole team was exceptional. Alicia, who we first worked with was incredible and when she left, we had such an easy transition with Morgan. Morgan went above and beyond for us. We did not have a day of coordinator so she kindly stepped it to help us time the ceremony and it could not have been more perfect. Valerie and Vonnie who were the banquet captains also were spectacular in helping our event stay on time and run smoothly. The ladies felt so pampered up in the bridal suite and I could not have been more relaxed, especially given the stress leading up to the day. All of my worries fell away. The staff got everything set up in a timely manner and they were accommodating to all of our random requests throughout the day. I could not have asked for a better experience! We will never forget our best day ever there. Reviewed on 13-08-2019

Rebecca Lee(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-09-2017 We loved loved love Newcastle Golf Course. The day went by really quick, but I felt like everyone that worked our wedding really cared about us. The workers were really accommodating and made sure we were happy, fed and comfortable. Our sunset photos were amazing, all the money, time, sweat, tears, came together with the photos, the happiness and fun we had at Newcastle. Although we had changes to our contact over the past two years, Alicia was super organized and had all the details included in her documents to ease my worries. Overall, we had the most fun and memorable time. Reviewed on 03-10-2017
Christina Wong(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-08-2017 Absolutely perfect location to get married, the tent spaciously held our large group of >200 during the ceremony, plus soft seating of 5 couches, 3 side tables, and about 6 large round tables for people to sit at during the reception plus a 24x24' dance floor. All of our guests were blown away with the beautiful sunset view of downtown Seattle, plus the bagpiper. Everyone raved about how delicious the stuff chicken tasted and how perfectly cooked the salmon was. Alicia McDonald who is the event coordinator was so helpful throughout the process and made sure we had everything we needed days prior to, as well as the day of the wedding. I couldn't be more happy with my experience there and would recommend this venue to anyone! Reviewed on 19-09-2017
Ashley Tiegs(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-08-2016 My husband & I were so excited over this venue when we booked our wedding last August. It has a beautiful view, amazing photo options & great food. Amy, our event manager seemed helpful & accommodating as we worked with her for 8 months. The #1 thing to know about this venue is that they will book events right over the top of each other. And if your wedding is not in the ballroom with the biggest price tag, you are not a priority. There were 3 other events booked on the same day as our wedding – a golf tournament, a private party & another wedding. When we arrived to get ready, the room we were booked to use was locked & it took 20 minutes to get let in – Amy could not be reached & none of the other staff knew who we were. The room was not ready for us, there was garbage & food from previous use& the carpet was filthy. Male staff kept bursting into the room without knocking to pull out tables & chairs needed elsewhere until a bridesmaids pointed out to them that this was also where we would be changing a& they shouldn’t just walk in. Amy appeared hours later & apologized that she hadn’t properly communicated to the staff we would be using this room in the morning. The other wedding in the ballroom was using the tent we were booked in for their ceremony & scheduled to be out by 4 so that we could be set up & start by 6:30. Their ceremony started an hour late & did not clear out until 5:30. Our guests had stand in the parking lot until we were set up & we did not start our ceremony until after 7. After our ceremony the tables that needed to be out for cocktail hour outside of the tent were not set up – again leaving our guests to stand aside while the staff set up. During cocktail hour staff would only serve alcohol – apparently the water, juice, soda we also paid for was only for dinner? Who isn’t serving water on a hot August day? Amy was MIA– she had decided, without telling us, to run the other wedding in the ballroom & had appointed a different staff member, Carolyn, to run ours. No one had met her all night. The staff wasn’t aware of any of the things we had planned with Amy – again she failed to communicate the details of our event to them. The only reason our wedding moved smoothly the rest of the night was thanks our wedding photographer & DJ. They teamed together & literately ran our event. We still had a great time with our guests. I just would have thought with the amount of money we paid & given how many weddings this place had hosted, the staff would have been far more professional & organized. At the end of our evening as we were wrapping up to make our exit, a woman swarmed in & very animatedly yelled at me that we needed to be out of the venue now or I was going to be charged extra. I very calmly tried to explain that we were contracted to be out by 12:30 & it was only 11:30, we had time. I was frustrated that she would approach me like that or even approach me at all – who takes that kind of issue to the bride? (I’m the only one in the fancy white dress so clearly I am the bride here)I learned later that this woman was Carolyn – the woman that was supposed to be running our event, first & only time I had seen her! At the end of this all I feel that because we were paying less than the ballroom wedding, we were treated like after thoughts. Amy dropped us to run their wedding & left the staff at ours unprepared. We had been booked here 5 months before the other wedding & we were not given the same care or attention. Reviewed on 27-04-2017

Jen Maynick(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-12-2014 Most of the staff at Newcastle was absolutely wonderful to deal with. I saw most because there were certain small details that were missed after we had mentioned them. However, the ceremony and reception went off perfectly. The venue was gorgeous and the food was amazing. This venue is expensive, but if you are having a wedding of between 100-300 people I think it is well worth the price. One suggestion, it never hurts to ask if they can discount the rate. I tried this and they were able to discount one part of the fee by a small amount. On the day of the ceremony, they provide a bridal attendant. Mine was so amazing that she had already been promoted and my wedding was the last one that she was doing. They are very organized and will work with you to make sure that every detail is covered. Their list of preferred vendors came in very useful when planning my wedding in a short amount of time. Jillian Andvik(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-09-2014 You simply cannot find a more beautiful venue in Seattle than the Newcastle Golf Club - the view is unparalleled! The staff is very professional, as one would expect from the wedding experts. There are several weddings each day at Newcastle, and while sometimes that can be a challenge, the staff is up to the task. \r\rWe were the last wedding of the day, with the ceremony and reception in the Prestwick Terrace tent. This presented a few logistical challenges - due to a wedding before us, vendors had less than 2 hours to set up, and we had a few guests get confused on whose gift table was whose. We also ended up with a few wedding crasher at the end of the night, but I think that's just because we threw a great party! =) \r\rThe food was amazing - nothing but raves from the guests on the tenderloin and salmon, and the pre-wedding spreads we had for the bridal party were also very impressive. We got ready in the Carnoustie suite, and it was great for our needs (though not exactly private, as it's just inside the driving range). Having the bridal attendant was very nice too - Libby was great, making sure that we got food, drinks, and even grabbing flip flops from the suite when I needed to make a shoe change. \r\rOverall, it was a very nice venue -- pricey, but the view is totally worth it! \r\r Reviewed on 14-09-2014

Kimberley offered wonderful advice and support with decision making and when our photobooth cancelled the week of she had several suggestions immediately for us. Newcastle made it easy for us to plan our wedding from out of state and were willing to fit us in on our trips up and/or would work with our families. Newcastle was the absolute perfect location for us, our family, and especially those out of town guests. Everyone enjoyed the spectacular views, ease of ceremony and reception in one location, and cannot stop raving about the food. We are almost three months out and I still have friends making comments about the delicious meals (Date stuffed chicken, Salmon, and vegetarian tower). The highest remarks came from our friend who has been in the restaurant and catering industry for years and he said hands down this beats out any meal he has ever had for a wedding entre even his own. Sue matyas(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-08-2013 The wedding Coordinator, Kimberely Scott did an amazing job of communicating every detail of the wedding in a timely matter. She checked in with me weekly, and met with me whenever I requested. She was very detailed and organized, covering and answering all the questions about the wedding. She offered suggestions, brought up important points that I didn't think of and her follow through was outstanding. The venue was spectacular. We had the ceremony and reception in the tent and I was a bit concerned about the tables being set up in the back, visible during the wedding, but the table settings were beautiful and you didn't even notice they were there. The view was beautiful, and out of town guest saw the best of Washington. The service was efficient and the staff friendly and helpful. The food was cooked to perfection and delicious. We always wanted to have the wedding at Newcastle, but thought it would be way out of our price range. After looking at over 8 venues ( some that you can bring your own liquor)and after pricing catering, rentals, and the hassle of getting everything set up and broken down, AND the drive time for guests; it ended up being as affordable with A LOT less hassle. To know everything is being handled, and you don't have to be responsible for anything, is worth more than you know. Our daughters wedding was perfection, seamless, and pretty much stress free. I could be in the moment as mother of the bride. Well done Kimberly and The Golf Club at Newcastle. Reviewed on 22-08-2013
Janice Kuo(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-07-2013 First of all the venue is absolutely gorgeous! It sits on a hilltop overlooking downtown Seattle, downtown Bellevue, Lake Washington and on a clear day, the Olympic Mountains. The facility is very well maintained and from what I understand undergo constant updates and improvements. The grass is perfectly manicured, the flowers beautiful and abundant that it'll compliment any wedding or event held there. It's very clear they have a great management team that take pride of maintaining the space.\r\rWe were assigned with a Newcastle Wedding Coordinator who unfortunately left the company 2 months after we booked the space. Kimberely, our replacement wedding coordinator, took over and the transition was seamless. She and the staff were extremely accommodating to our sometimes seemingly odd requests. For example we had several guests who were on a Buddhist diet of not eating garlic, onions and green onions. The chef was able to provide a special entree for these guests (even through we opted for the buffet for everyone else). They were also encouraged to go to the buffet line for sides and veggies which had little signs to tell them whether or not it had garlic, onions and green onions. In addition, Newcastle was able to assist in my vision of the dessert table. Think of Style Me Pretty type dessert table where I had streamers, garland and pom poms hanging from a curtain rod. Newcastle attached the curtain rod with a fishing line from their wall/molding so it looks like it was floating. These were just a few things we were able to assist with. I could go on and on about Kimberely and the staff!\r\rWe had our ceremony in the Prestwick Terrace which is their permanent outdoor tent structure. There's a lot of draping, high ceilings, very open space. Our cocktail hour was in the patio, where lots of picture taking happened there (especially as the sun was setting.) Our reception took place in their Ballroom, very spacious and decor elegant, not stuffy. \r\rAll of our guests can't stop talking about the venue and view! It's definitely one of the prime locations to get married in the greater Seattle area. Whenever I'm asked where I got married at, it usually followed by 'you got married there?!' with 'oohs' and 'ahhs'!\r\rI do want to mention that Newcastle hosts as many as 3 weddings a day! You might come across another bride in passing but they do a good job flipping quickly/efficiently and putting up (attractive) barriers to separate the parties. Also when we went for the tasting, the food tasted absolutely delicious but then on the day of the wedding, the food wasn't as memorable. Maybe being a foodie and it being my wedding, I'm being over critical. The venue is also a little on the pricer side but I think for a wedding to remember for years to come, it is well worth it!!! The staff is very efficient and professional, providing an excellent level of service. Our guests complimented the food more than anything. The variety was enough to suit everyone's tastes, it was prepared beautifully, and there was plenty to feed all of our guests the second and third servings that they went back for.\rThere is also a wonderful bridal suite for the bride and several others to comfortably prepare in for the Big Day.\rThe only con that I found to this wonderful venue was the over-efficiency of the staff, which led to a space being torn down too early, and assumptions made with regard to certain details instead of taking the time to ask questions.\rBut the guests will never know a thing is wrong, as the crew at Newcastle makes a wedding look easy and flawless. We even got 2 free rounds of golf for having the wedding there! My only complaint was that we asked if we could keep our things in the bridal suite during the whole event and they said 'yes', but when we went back at the end of the wedding, another wedding was in the room and our things were thrown in the lockers in the locker room...not locked up.
